✓ Great game but with a downsideLove this game, spend ages on it (oops) and I play it daily. Apart from the occasional malfunction where it freezes and uses my “tickets” for the rival word challenge games and doesn’t give me the right stars won, I enjoy it. The downside is the hounding, if I put me as my photo, sometimes even if I don’t, men come on the game and start asking if I’m happily married with kids etc and there are ALOT of these, it’s really irritating and I know from speaking to other players, it’s the same for them too! I know you can mute the convo and block the player, but as soon you block them, another pops up, and you end up with a load of games starting that go nowhere because of these people mithering! Surely there’s something can be done? Would be 5 stars if not for these issues!.Version: 16.80.2

✓ Good gameI really enjoy this game and particularly the solo challenge- however if you tie ( get the same score in solo challenge) I think you should get a feee replay . Some of the solo challenge words they use are pretty weird and sometimes I feel a bit unfair as they are incredibly obscure. ✓ Good App, But Uneven Support Outside of EnglishThis is my favorite Scrabble-type mobile game and is popular with everyone I know for providing a quality experience. One feature I particularly liked was the ability to see the definition and a link to a dictionary entry for most words played when the game is set to English. This feature is something that sets the app apart from playing the traditional board game, and when combined with other gameplay improvements, it definitely makes the app better than the tediousness that sometimes is experienced when playing Scrabble by hand. What keeps this from being 5 stars for me is that not all words when the game is set to English have an associated definition or dictionary entry (will say something like “definition unavailable”), which makes it confusing how the developers chose what words make the cut for being playable. It also takes away from the learning aspect the app provides in being able to expand your vocabulary when an unusual word with no definition is played (e.g. Qi). I play equally in two languages, and the dictionary feature is absent altogether in the second language I play in (Portuguese). I would imagine it probably is only present in English, and would be glad to see it improved and expanded to other languages in the future..Version: 12.81.1
✓ Great Game for kids over the age of 8!This game is really good, the only thing I’m having trouble with the moment, is practice mode. It keeps on saying you’ve reached the maximum number of games, finish to play more. I press on my game but it keeps saying “Oops, something went wrong!” I am a 9 year old and I think this game is good for the brain because it helps with your reading and knowledge. I also don’t like the fact the anonymous people are wondering if you want to play with them (STRANGER DANGER alert!) So why can’t Zynga make an update that only with people that are your friends you can only play with. When I was about 5, I downloaded the first Words with Friends and I played with people I didn’t know. They were sending me weird messages that gave me a suspicious feeling. ✓ Please don't change this great game just for the sake of it!I have been playing WWF for years and loved it until the latest upgrade which I really regret changing to. ✓ Words with friend ……Since 2014 I have played practically every day & have tried every form that the app resented. A full 10 years on I still play as much if not more & during the 2.6 years during the world Pandemic I would have lost my sanity if not for the “ friends “ who kept myeloma from tipping into total depression ! My beloved husband of 42 years had passed away & living on my own it has literally become a lifeline. The Technical Support Team has been amazing & never have I had a single issue that they could not resolve. Done with the utmost respect & consideration for a really senior senior who is utterly clueless where anything technical is concerned. ✓ HOPE TO GET BACK TO 5 STARSI have played Words With Friends for 10 years as of this month. It is a game I have spent thousands of hours playing and enjoyed very much. During the past several months, however, for me at least, the game has become very glitchy. While I like most of the new features, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the game freezing up, and often not navigating from one page to another. When this happens, the screen either goes entirely black, or black with a perpetually spinning yellow W tile. After waiting for some time, I get tired and exit the game. If I try to return in 5 to 10 minutes, it still has not fixed itself. Occasionally, if I am impatient to return to the game, I shut my phone off for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on to resume play. I keep my phone updated with Apple software updates and Words With Friends updates; however, these problems do not resolve. I encounter these problems every single time I play this app, and consequently am playing it less often than previously, although usually at least one time every day. Before the glitches became so persistent, I used to return to the game multiple times in one day. I would love for the game to function as smoothly as it once did. If that happens, I will bump my rating back up to 5 stars as it is a game I love to play..Version: 16.80.2

✓ Beware of scammersMy only issue with this app is the vast amount of individuals that think it’s okay to use this platform to attempt to scam you. On average of twice every night I will be contacted by people who try to gain a foothold into my personal life by asking stupid questions in the message inbox. In good faith I will always respond if someone writes a message, just tonight when an individual asked me what I did for a living, I responded ‘law enforcement’ lol they quickly blocked me. There should be an easier way to report them. My advice to these scammers is ‘get a real job’ and my advice to other players is ..... they can’t actually spell and you can read their accents in the way they write..Version: 12.32.1
✓ Delays and catfishI play this game often and I enjoy it, but I have been noticing that when I play the lightning rounds with groups, I get an overwhelming amount of men sending me 1:1 games. I know for certain that some of them are Nigerian catfish masquerading as U.S. servicemen and surgeons who are working for the UN and on assignment overseas. I am extremely resourceful when it comes to investigating and can say without any uncertainty that the men are catfish. If anyone from WWF ops wants to discuss, I would be happy to reveal my sources. Also, when I play QuickPlay, my game lags - majorly. My board will still be loading and the opponent has 50 points before I can even look at my letters. Then, in between words, the board will load and load and by the time it finally does, the game is over and I have lost. Other times, it will say it’s searching for an opponent and I will close out of the game to restart and try again and a game is in progress and I’m about to lose, which wastes a turn. There are a lot of glitches and the catfishing needs to be addressed. For the time being, I have changed my photo to one of my dog to deter weirdos from sending me games. I have still received quite a few and I’m thinking I may need to be a bit of a catfish myself and change my photo to a sumo wrestler and my name to “Butch” or something of the like to play unscathed..Version: 15.10.3

✓ Words with friends 2I was introduced to the game by my daughter in law about 5 years ago. She is in Australia and I am in the UK. Initially I solely played with her but over the past few months I have have other opponents as well and have really enjoyed playing. However just a few days ago o was asked for my email address and password. Obviously I knew my email but wasn’t sure which password I had used. I was told that a six digit number had been emailed to me which I had to use to log in- this never materialised so I requested it again but no joy! Instead I was set up as a beginner from July 20. I am not happy about this but don’t know how to obtain my original status so not happy!!!.Version: 14.90.4

BUT BE AWARE they allow scammers that try to scam women. Just one scammer alone uses number of different identities. Always these guys are new to word and widow with at least one child, works away from home They ask for itune card, money or for u to accept a parcel. They ask to talk on hangout or Whatsapp. I have tried to report to Word these guys so they could block them. I have led them on to see if they r scammers. I have been unable to report to Word, so they could monitor new people. The only line to do so is abuse p. That I found is deleted. So womem be careful. Don't fall for these guys charms. ✓ Love the game... however...I’ve played WwF for over 10 years now counting this app and it’s predecessor. I’ve always really enjoyed playing and enjoy to find players of a similar standard or better so I can enjoy the game. The game is now considerably compromised by Nigerian Scammers. They message you with a few pleasantries followed shortly by asking if “you’re married with kids’ or “marital status”, They use stock photos of Gentleman, pretend to come from one place but now live in the US and work in the military, doctor or varying engineers on oil rigs. It’s funny to play a long for a while. They always then ask to chat on Hangouts or WhatsApp. However it does concern me that some unsuspecting people may fall for their ‘game’ and eventually when they start having a sob story and asking for money or for you to buy them iTunes or Google Play cards. So, folks, just beware of this and don’t fall for it. I do wish the developers could find a work around for this, but I suspect the only option is turning off the chat function (or blocking words like married, marital status, kids etc), which is a shame for those of us who use it genuinely. ✓ Really irritated with WWFI’ve been playing this game with family members for years, but it’s getting so bad! 1. Tells me it’s opponents’ turn when it’s really my turn 2. In spite of making settings as private as possible, regular game invitations by men being inappropriate. I changed my profile photo to my (male!) dog, that seems to help. 3. Slower and slower response times. VERY irritating 4. Increasing complication in use, for example how to get rewards. I just want to play scrabble (let’s face it) with ZERO bells and whistles. I refuse to play the real Scrabble because of all the childish Interference in the game, will I soon have to give up WWF? 5. I just spent some time reading developer responses to user complaints. Eeeeeeooooo! Get a more intelligent, mature, articulate person to respond, if that’s a person writing “have a nice day”... I’m repelled. 6. I don’t really like the Word Police. Bad words are words too, and having WWF police what words are unacceptable for use in a “private” game makes me feel Big Brother is firmly in control. Please WWF, just stop it. Simple is good. ✓ Words with friendsI love this game and have been playing for almost 9 years I particularly like the lightening round game but am put off because after each game I’m hounded by perverts and conmen who are sitting in those games not playing but waiting to pounce I end up having to waste time blocking all these guys. Surely the makers of this game could do something about this even I can see they take the same format using either a head shot or military uniform for their profile picture and their user name has a number after it usually three numbers obviously to keep track of all their fake profiles. I must agree with others that sometimes the acceptable words seem to be random letters with no available definition, but you get used to it. ✓ I love this game but...I have been playing this game for a few years now but I did take a break because of the overwhelming amount of men trying to pick you up. I play Everyday and sometimes for a couple of hours at a time. I enjoy most of the features and hope it just keeps getting better. I really wanted to give it four stars some things are nerve wracking with this game. The first is that when I go to watch a 30 second video to accumulate coins half the time it doesn’t work and keeps saying that it’s loading for a whole day. Please fix that. I also wish these videos gave at least 5 coins at a time but that’s not a big deal and is just my opinion. The other thing is that I continue to get game requests from men with a fake profiles. As stated in so many other reviews if you don’t chat and go to hangouts or other dating like websites they stop playing. Then that game will take up a game spot for 10+ days unless I resign which then messes up my stats. There has to be a way to work around this. Overall I love this game it’s my favorite of all time. I hope that it keeps improving and look forward to any new features. P.S I played a player a few days ago that had rainbow tiles. ✓ Love to Play WWFI have been playing this game for many years and enjoy it immensely. I do have a bone to pick, however, with the latest change, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. The change that I am unhappy with concerns the Daily Word Play. It used to be very easy to access Daily Word Play as it was displayed in more than one area of the game board. The previous Points Goal for Daily Word Play was 167, and you had 4 tries to get to that score and when you did not reach it in 4 tries you could watch a video for 4 additional tries. Once you reached 167 points you received a Mystery Box. I was fine with watching a short ad for the 4 additional tries, and I always did so to complete the 167 point goal. Now the goal is 930 for a Mystery Box with unlimited tries and no ads, and the only way to access it is through the Goals box. The issue is if you want to stop before 930 points (because that score takes a bit of time to achieve) and go back to Daily Word Play later, there is no longer a way to access it again. Please fix this issue, as I am sure that other players like to put down the game and go back to Daily Word Play later when they are not playing other opponents..Version: 15.80.4
✓ AwfulI got a new phone recently and have discovered I can no longer download WWF, which I had paid a premium for to have no ads. I have been forced to download WWF2, which is essentially unplayable due to the constant ads which take up the whole screen with a tiny little cross that is almost impossible to hit without opening a web page about the product being advertised. I have been unable to login and get my old details back such as my stats, which I am not too bothered about but some people might be. Such a shame, I absolutely loved playing WWF and it has been ruined for me now. I’ll have to see if my friends will move to the Scrabble app with me!.Version: 9.93.1
✓ Bring back truly random matchesSince WWF2 changed how you find random opponents, it has turned into an effort to avoid awkward exchanges with people who ultimately want your phone number. Women I know find this format particularly limiting as you can’t ask for a random opponent without that person thinking you “chose” them and therefore are attracted to them or something (there’s no way to know if the person asked for a random match or whether they picked you on purpose based on your photo). I just don’t use that feature anymore, and only play with people I know. It’s a shame because I used to love the lucky dip of finding someone new to play without them thinking they can hit on you. It’s made the app sleazier, I’m afraid..Version: 13.60.4
✓ Great game ...... but a feature I’d really be keen on is the ability to limit the time to think about words to play that players get, and if they fail to play a word within the alotted time they forfeit their move. Players should be able to agree before the game on the time that their allowed to think, e.g. 5 minutes after seeing what the other player has played. This feature would really give an advantage to players with large vocabularies over those who simply have lots of time to try words. Another feature worth introducing is a limit on the number of words you’re allowed to submit, e.g. on any given move you can try to submit only three words and after the third unsuccessful submission you also forfeit your move. This, of course, would require switching off any support that tells you whether a wordis playable or not. And again, this would have to be agreed upon by both players before starting a game..Version: 9.93.1

✓ Great game improvement suggestionI’ve played reg WWF til it disappeared but glad to have this back. I am bombarded with scammers every single day though band messages flashing are so annoying. I don’t mind having little chats with people but I run their pics on google and it’s crazy how many scammer/ impersonators of innocent people there are playing. I’m avoiding nice people as well now. When I see a message I can’t read it unless I let them in. Then they persist. How to weed them out I’m not sure but I hate seeing platforms for these people to take advantage of others. Can we separate new players from contacting people for a time period where they might give up using this platform they aren't here to play they only use three or four letter words then hound people. After one turn. What if you block new players from chat saying “chat isn’t available able at this time” snd keep them off chatting until they have stuck it out . If they are average people they won’t quit the game if scammers they will quit immediately when there’s no contact with others . ✓ Fun game, but full of scammersThere has to be some way to vet out these scammers who begin unsolicited conversations with women. They are relentless and annoying, and they have the same script. I don’t believe most of them are native English speakers based on their canned conversations and poor game-playing. After I accepted several challenges (I hoped they were due to being ‘smart matched’ with someone), 3 different men all started similar conversations with me ‘hello dear’ or using my name in another one. Then in 2 of them it led almost immediately to ‘where are you from’ and in one straight to ‘so, are you married?’ In one where I didn’t answer his repeated ‘hellos’, he finally said ‘so you don’t chat?’ I answered that and told him hello, but I was leery of chatting due to being asked those questions. He said he understood. Then next question was ‘so, where are you from?’ That’s when I looked up words with friends trolls, and found that this is a thing where ppl have actually been scammed. I don’t know what the answer is except to never say yes to a game or maybe just never open conversations with people I don’t know, but in the past I was able to say ‘good game’ or ‘nice word’ without worrying someone was going to try to solicit money from me. ✓ Great game and hard working staff!!I’ve been playing WWF for 4 years, I’ve always had fun playing because I love spelling, learning new words etc. Anyway, of recently someone requested to play with me and I accepted their request, then they sent me a message to talk and I don’t usually talk to people on the app but I said let me see what they want and accepted their chat request. From the jump I knew the person was illegitimate but I thought I’d humour them because at least they was playing the game and playing back fast! Cut a long story short, today I said to myself I’m going to block this person because they’re really creepy! As I went onto the app I’d seen the WWF staff had already removed them (for my safety as they said in their message to me) from my players and adjusted my scoring to make sure I don’t lose out due to this person, and I want to thank WWF for doing so. I really appreciate that your staff are working hard to keep genuine people in the WWF community safe. Also I’ve had issues in the past of not getting trophies when supposed to or coins and whenever I reach out WWF make it right so again thank you WWF staff for your hard work!!! ✓ Words 2, from a kiwi’s point of view.I love the game but hate what I regard as American spelling, and that words are accepted that are not spelt correctly in English, as I learned it at school. I abhor words that are not “words” from my point of view, and am a bit resentful that no words of Maori origin seem to be acceptable, whilst words that many people in the world would never have heard of (either)seem to be included, especially when I am playing solo against the characters who have odd names and are the Opposition in the Solo competitions..Version: 12.10.3
✓ Excellent game... 1 issue thoughEverything about this game is great! Except the ads. I’ve seen complaints about them in the reviews many times, there are plenty of us happy to pay a once off fee to get rid of the ads. I have also seen the response from the developers to this as wanting to keep the game free for everyone. Very charitable... Obviously you would make more money regularly from ongoing ad revenue than people paying a couple of bucks as a once off fee, and I can understand that is good business, even if I don't like it as a user. What I have a big problem with is that there appears to be some ad in your line up that is nothing but a black screen. And it doesn’t go away! It doesn’t time out and take me back to the game, I’ve let it sit there for several minutes several times and ultimately I have to switch my entire phone off and back on again to get back into the game. It drives me crazy and is a negative user experience. I’ve run the update this week and sadly it didn’t fix it at all. If you insist on keeping the ads in place despite repeated requests a from long time users let us pay to remove them can you at least make sure they don’t bring the game to a screaming halt. ✓ Review of Words with Friends2I’m glad of this opportunity to write a review & explain why I’ve only given 4 stars. I really enjoy this competition between all kinds of people & appreciate measures which prevented unwelcome pushiness from some gentlemen in particular. My only complaint is that when I go into the coin store for daily bonus recently when watching videos to get 3 extra coins I still only get the daily bonus of 1. Also the end of February registered a few days behind…it corrected on the 1st of March but now on the 6th of March it’s pointing to the 4th. Before all this I would’ve been delighted to give a 5 star rating as being well in retirement years really appreciate this Words competition. ✓ It's pretty good but...I prefer the layout of the old version but the new version is also very good...I also like the additional challenges included in the game (lightning round and snowman challenge) but one change you could add to the new version is: - I accidentally pressed 'rematch' twice after a game had ended and two games popped up.. I didn't really want the two games.. 😓 so changing that would be nice.. ✓ Song2I really like playing the game with friends. It keeps us in touch with the option to send a message or contact with strangers without pressure. Also like that I have time to get back to the game when there are busy periods when I’m not able to play. And even then I can be prompted or prompt them as the case may be or check previous games & start again as many games with whom I please. Maybe one of the best things is knowing whether a word is possible with the green or red highlight. A long review but was easy to write. My thanks. I actually wrote this review some time ago. And it was all good. Now I have just read another review with which concur on every level. Basically the ads drive me crazy as there’s no quick x to exit it & it uses up precious battery & my time. It is spoiling my experience & I may opt out if this continues. I too wouldn’t mind purchasing the option to be ad-free depending on cost. ✓ AdsLook, I know you all want us to purchase the ad free version. Sorry, but I don’t play enough to make that happen. So I use the ad version and there is a big problem with this. I often play while waiting in a waiting room or while watching TV with other people. I have my phone on silent. But , some of your ad refuse to be silent! All of a sudden there is a blast of noise from an ad that refuses to shut up! I go into a high anxiety panic trying to silence this ad that I didn’t even want to see! Also, suddenly all the ads are 30 seconds long and you can’t get past them. It gets where we see the same ad over and over and it is frustrating. There are a couple of games that I have seen the ads for about 1,000,000,000 times. I have begun to absolutely hate them. I will never download those games just because I have seen the ads far too much. Okay, done with the rant about the ads. The game itself is good. The badges are a nice touch and they make you want to get more points. The other little games in the game such as collecting things to get a new box is also fun. The dictionary is good and helpful. But, the dictionary often has words that it says it cannot define. Also, some foreign words are accepted but some aren’t. The game itself has done well with no glitches. ✓ Really Good, but Needs More Customer Consideration to be Great!I adore playing this game. It’s so much fun and enables me to enjoy leisurely entertainment. Unfortunately, I have some concerns. The first issue is that some of the ads lock up the game and I have to restart my I-phone just to get out of an ad. For example, the new Range Rover ad’s exit button is so far to the left lower part of the screen that you cannot even tap it to exit. Another issue is that the ads often don’t close when you hit the close button. Sometimes you have to hit the close button multiple times only for it to take you to the ad for the app being sold or the button is non-responsive. I don’t mind having ads. My concern is that I’m they are not responsive to being closed and they lock up my phone. The second (lesser) issue is that the game provides less and less rewards as you increase the amount of games you play. It makes it less fun. Keep the fun going….. Lastly, and of great concern, is that some of the ads are for companies that are scams. I’ve received quite a bit of ads for products, but when I’ve checked BBB, they were scams. WWF2 should vet some of these companies before providing them access to its customer database. Yes, I’m advocating for customer consideration and responsibility. ✓ What has gone wrong??I've been playing WWF for 7 years - love it, but recently words are being accepted that are not valid words, and the description of the accepted word is 'not a valid WWF word' or something to that effect. One example is JE in the USA version. I try to use it and can't but many of my opponents are using it and getting away with it. There are many other words that are not accepted but some players can still use them - what is going on? Hard enough to play against opponents who use seriously obscure words and are probably using a cheat app, without also having to deal with this issue. Can it be fixed?.Version: 12.00.2
✓ Christine Harris’ words with friends 2 reviewI enjoy most aspects of the game such as the variety of events, the ability to earn points, stars, etc, and the competition. I don’t enjoy the glitches from time to time that not even updating the app improves. These are things like taking away games when playing duels, not being able to find the quick start games with just using the plus button, not being able to play a game in rivers as it never comes up oh and who cares about the back button. I love free trades and all the plays left especially at the end of the game but the best move is not always the best move although it is 90% of the time so well worth it. What I still dislike about it the most are all the men who are trying to use a free game app as a dating service, they are annoying, constantly trying to chat when you want to play and sometimes rude. They are predictable in that they are always widows, have one child-usually a girl, and either work in over seas oil rigs or in the military. I have heard from some of the ladies that they have been asked for money and or preloaded cards. Keep adding new ways to earn points and take off some. With duels who needs the the old timed games. Also, even though I contact you with issues I get no feedback or corrections. I’ve had the same number of original words for over eight years and it never changes. ✓ “Oops something went wrong”I’ve had this message a couple of times, usually when trying to start a practice game. There is no way get rid of this open game, that you cannot play, that counts as one of your open practice games AND there is no way to contact the developer, outside of writing a review for the game itself, to help get rid of it. The last time this happened, they were responsive and got rid of the game for me. This time, however, not so much. I have had a practice game open, that I cannot play, for 189 days. I play the game every day. And other reviewers are indeed correct - the number of trollers has increased 10 fold over the past year or so. Now before I ever accept a game, I look up their profile to see when they became a member. If they’re new, I decline the game. I got tired of them holding up games for 10 days because I chose not to chat with them. A few are decent and will resign the game right away, but most are not. They will wait until the game resigns itself. I have put my settings so as NOT to be the daily match person, but they still find me. I sure with the developers could do something about this! ✓ Great game apart from Nigerian Male ScammersThis game is fabulous and I play it every day. The only downside of the profile is that I can’t use a photo of myself in it because if I do, I am constantly hounded by men who eventually start talking dirty or Nigerian men pretending to either work on the oil rigs or be a general in the US Army. It’s almost comical when you play along with them to see how far they’ll go. They start by saying hi, which is soon followed by asking more personal details which I never give out - I lie and give false information. When you ask them what they do you wonder why they’re hitting on a woman in this game and how on earth do they have time to play it if they lead the lifestyle they claim to have. I have had to block so many and have reported them to the platform but heard nothing back! They are obviously using stolen photos of men to use as their profile photo and surely if they are pretending to be someone else by stealing their identity this is a crime? ✓ Love this but beware Nigerian scammersI have playing this game on a daily basis for a few years now, but have to keep my own profile pic off the site. Otherwise I find I am contacted by men pretending to be from the US, but in reality they are Nigerian scammers using stock photos of unsuspecting gentlemen. I always know if it’s a scammer, they start by saying Hi and all the pleasantries, then followed by asking my marital status. Occasionally I have played along until blocking them, but it worries me that some lonely ladies (or gents, maybe it works with female scammers too) will fall for their scams. I won’t fill up my review of this great game with more, but google Nigerian scammers and you can find out more about them, they often pose as US peacekeepers or oil rig workers, so beware!! ✓ Scammers AboundI started playing this game in 2011 and play daily now. I play the Lightning Round on a regular basis, which seems to bring the scammers out in full force. These are the ones who immediately chat and call me “dear friend” at once. Then they start asking personal questions about my marital status, how old I am, what do I do for a living, where I live, etc. It’s apparent from the grammar and spelling they are not in the US (we don’t spell “colour” with a “u” and asking me how the weather is “over there” are dead giveaways. They’re either on an oil rig somewhere or in the military overseas and involved in world peace. Most immediately volunteer where they were born and where they now live, like I give a flying flip about that. All are widowers with one child. They almost immediately ask me to chat on Hangouts to get to know me better (I flat out refuse), and if I state that I don’t chat or I change my profile picture or name to NO CHAT, they resign immediately. I’ve tested that theory repeatedly and it always happens, although they do their best to convince me they’re not like the rest and how could I not want to be friends. The internet is full of stories about these morons but I see no effort by WWF admin to kick them out. It’s freaking annoying, even women do it, and I’m disappointed you don’t protect your players better from these idiots..Version: 17.20.5
✓ Fed up of the pestsI have been playing this game for about six years now and I find it fun and relaxing. However, I am now cautious and am wary of nearly every man that starts a game with me. Just read some of the reviews and learn that these scammers are targeting many females. I have had so many men wanting to chat and find out personal details about me and want another way of communication ie “Hangout” (which I do not use and have no intention of using). A lot of them are posing as Americans and a lot say they are in US army or some other high profile profession which is supposed to impress me. Every time my answer is the same, I tell them I am quite happy to play the game and chat a little on Word but that’s it. If they want relationships or friends , go to a chat line or dating site. ✓ Too many extrasI have played this game for several years now but I am now on the verge of deleting it. It has become so overloaded with so many extras, that it’s annoying to play. I love playing WWF with my friends, not with the system or total strangers. I am not a child and I am not interested in badges, goals, rewards, stickers or achievements or winning coins for “cheats”. A bit confused by the fact that different words are excepted in some game and not others but that’s not overly annoying What I do object to is the number of guys on here treating this place like a dating app. They start a game and seem to have no intention of having a good game of scrabble. Play badly and immediately ask intrusive questions ie open with ‘ are you married?’ Or‘can we be friends ? I usually respond with ‘I’m here to play scrabble’ It’s tiresome ! ✓ Great game but recentlyI’ve been playing this game for a long time as well as buying the full version for no ads between games, but recently I’ve noticed that the ads for coins option in the shop has been playing ads that don’t register for coins, but register as played so you get to the ad limit without receiving any coins at all. I have contacted Zynga several times regarding this all with the same response: give me extra coins for inconvenience, tell me to check the app is updated (most people on Apple have automatic updates) and to also restart the app. These do not work. While I understand that you can’t control the ads that appear you can control the format of the ads so that they all perform in the same way. It would be great to have this resolved. Edit: This aspect has become even worse recently to the point where I receive barely any coin reward even though I watch the ad or don’t have any ad options in store. Often I will watch ads for rewards in the Solo game and then the game will stall and take those coins. I restart the app several times a day and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating with little to no support. I’ve been playing this game for well over a decade and it’s becoming increasingly “clunky” with useless rewards like badges and tokens. ✓ Great game, odd recent changeI’ve been playing this game for a long time. It has been a reconnection point between my dad and I, as we play and chat daily thru the game. I doubt we would be doing that otherwise. I have not paid for any upgrades or monthly subscriptions. I just watch the ads and even click on extras to make sure you get paid. But, I find it odd that you have changed the store, to where you can only purchase power ups “when you run out”. Since I cannot purchase anything, I am maxed out with my coins. Every bonus I now earn, every coin I get for watching an extra ad, goes right to the trash, as I cannot earn anymore. This takes a bit of fun out of the game. I will continue to play, as the game is fun, and it keeps me in contact with my dad, but I have no incentive to watch anything extra now. ✓ More than comparable…I switched to this game from another well known Scrabble app, out of frustration with ads etc. It took a while for me to come to grips with the format, but now I find this game much more enjoyable at least. The one main annoyance I have with WWF - is the dictionary, which includes many words it shouldn’t and misses many words it should. Second is that in the competitive ‘Quick Play’ events, the prizes are not actually worth competing for - like at all. This is a pretty big buzz kill. Particularly when you have high financed players putting in far more coins getting to first place, than they’re ever going to receive in winnings - making the basic competition obsolete for all those who are good players but just don’t have the dosh. It becomes pointless. For reasons unknown to me the app decided to perform an automatic ‘refresh ‘, the end result of which has left me right back at the very beginning of the game. ✓ Not a dating siteI’m happy with the actual game, I don’t seem to have the problems with the game that some have identified (though it does bug me that the computer always has the better letters in the challenge rounds!!) BUT I am sick and tired of every (mainly) American man thinking he can say Hi - which in itself is harmless - but then berate you if you won’t join in the conversation which is rarely about the game and often about whether you’re married with kids. ✓ Words with FriendsI love to play, but I have some complaints. You have made the weekly challenge too difficult and it’s not worth it. It was nice when it was 7000 or so, but raising it to over 13,000 is over the top. After achieving this goal several times, the rewards are pathetic compared to other events. I no longer care about getting there. When are you going to finish this new dictionary that you have been updating? for years??? You allow words that I can’t find in any other dictionary and ignore words that are real. Why Is Texas allowed but no other state. Why is some obscure town or river in some faraway country ok, but not all rivers in the U.S. or other modern countries. Everybody calls raccoons, coons, except you, as an example of my frustration. Why are French words and other foreign words acceptable, but most Spanish words are not accepted? You started awarding me magnifying glasses a few months ago with no icon to use them. ✓ ScammersI love the App but I found there are men trying to pick up women and more likely scam them for money. But last week I had a new type of scammer. It was a lady who said she just moved and wanted to make new friends. I decided to chat with her and she asked if we could chat on Google Hangouts. I am not connected to that form of social media so I told her I was on Instagram. It just got weirder and weirder. She said she knew Ellen and if I would like to appear on her show. I asked a few more questions to see where she was going with this and she actually had pictures of her with Ellen. She said she could raise 5000 for my transportation. I said I wasn’t traveling now because of the virus. The next day she asked for my SS number, Address, Email, and phone number. She was persistent and her flow of conversation would change calling me Miss and friend etc. I told her I don’t give out my SS number and blocked her on Instagram and WWF. I would have never thought this type of scam would happen on WWF so just a word of warning. I told her and the men who have appeared that I am 75 years old so that would turn some of them off! ✓ I LOVE & HATE WWF2Great game improvement over regular WWF ,more fun, interesting and challenging. Buggy! Buggy! Buggy! Buggy‼️ I play daily both on my iPhone and iPad. When I started playing WWF2, there were a few incidents per month, where I had to re-boot my iPhone10. Whenever they come out with a new update, the game will crash consistently 2-4 x’s per week prior; progressively worsening to daily until you update. Then crashing is less, but still somewhat buggy after. I updated to the Winter Wonderland last week on my iPad. The first day it crashed completely and would not clear with re-booting,(times 6). I had to completely re-install the game and lost all my stored credits, history and advancements. Understandably, I have been dragging my feet about updating my iphone10 to this Winter Wonderland version, yet the game crashes several times daily and yesterday I was cheated out of 18 coins from the watch the ads binge they offer you when you claim the daily bonus! There is no avenue to contact them to report problems. Most of the problems occur when the ads play, the screen can freeze, turn dark, or the logo just spins. They’ve initiated lots of not very user friendly changes, reduced the amount of coins etc one can win, raised weekly goals to such high levels it becomes work to achieve them. Haven’t fixed an issue that lets you delete old Practice games for over 6 months. Raised the “price” to purchase PowerUps. Raised the “price” to play Solo Challenge if you don’t want to wait hours for the next game. And, the kicker, they are monitoring/censoring PRIVATE conversations! I’m not talking about censoring swear words - although that’s bad enough, but as an example, today they censored the word concerning!! Seriously! It showed up as c*ncerning in the convo box! First, they absolutely should NOT be monitoring private conversations that nobody else can see (or shouldn’t see), but censoring words like “concerning”? There Big Brother tactics aren’t just too creepy! I’m waiting for a response to my complaints - it will be generic and sent from a bot - before cancelling. ✓ Great game ruined by garishly offensive adsThe brain-exercise and social aspects of this game border on inestimable! Congratulations! HOWEVER, sadly, whilst people who play WWF obviously have a common interest in words, it is evident that they have a level of intelligence that deserves better than any of the full-screen ads or, in fact, any ads at all. There are few advertised products that would interest your clientele (who just want to play the game!), all of whom do not want to spend their time and that of the battery of their devices waiting until they can click it off. To add recent insult to injury, after playing a move, I regularly experience a black screen with no ad, just a centre timer icon that uses up more than 20 seconds before my irritated tapping on the screen brings it all back to game life. Several attempts at deleting and re-downloading the app have not eradicated the problem. I am unsure of the revenue that these god-awful ads raise, but I am sure that every one of your clientele would prefer to pay initially for the app, even with perhaps an annual feeI for continuing “club membership”. ✓ Words with FriendsI love to play this game to relax; however, this game frustrate me instead. The achievement system is not reliable. I finished level 20 and should have to 21. In my profile still shows me as level 20. I am now working to earn level 22. It’s very frustrating when one works hard to achieve a level and your system takes away. In different device it’s shows correct level 21, but in this device I am using it shows level 20. I delete the app and reloaded the app and is still showing my image with a 20. Also, there are too many words that are allowed which aren’t really words. When I look for definition there is none. This game allows foreign language words when I am playing in English. I understand that there are some foreign words that have been adopted and integrated into English language and are acceptable to use, but the words I see are definable not in common use. I wish the developers would take the time to read the reviews. I read a few and they all have the same issues in common. Please read the reviews! You ask for a rating, but you don’t read the reviews. ✓ Great game, but fix the notifications!Love this game, but it’s notifications are really annoying - a) they don’t go away when you open/action them, and b) there are constantly notifications for solo games you didn’t even sign up for and can’t get rid of (even when you quit them they come back). All this means you don’t know when you actually have a turn to play, making the game much less engaging :-/.Version: 11.10.4

✓ Great game, terrible dictionary, bad version.Words with Friends is a great game. I cannot imagine who is employed to write the dictionary. The writers know nothing about parts of speech, can’t tell a proper noun from a common noun, have no understanding of verb forms and cannot write appropriate example sentences. They have created a joke of a dictionary. Some proper nouns are accepted (which they shouldn’t be) others not. Plurals ending in ‘i’ are allowed to be pluralised a second time. E.g. yetis. And so on. If you’re going to run a word-based app try not to insult the intelligence of your subscribers. As if this weren’t enough, the latest version keeps freezing. Not occasionally, but often. WWF is still the best word game available, as far as I know, but it is far from perfect..Version: 21.50.2
✓ Words with FriendsI am a 64 y/o retired Air Force Officer who has a bit of time to spare. Some dear friends suggested this game to me a few months ago and I have playing it nearly everyday since. When you are stuck just try any mixture of letters as there are so many words that we have never heard of, then often you are able to at least get a word even if low scoring. It is very entertaining and a lot of fun as well as demanding a lot of brain power at times. Which is good for our brain surely. At least try it and I'm sure, like me, you will soon enjoy the giving of your time and skills it requires. You get to meet many people if you like to do that, as you can have as many games open at the same time as you like. You can also send messages to your opponents through the app. You can play with your current friends/contacts or the app will find new players for you and with similar skill levels if you wish. ✓ Good game but too many creepy men on chatI really like the game, it’s fun and less mindless than most other games. However my experience is constantly being ruined by the amount of absolutely creepy dudes and/or scammers who chat to you with mundane questions and then try and convince you to hand over your phone number or email address. Some of them are quite threatening and many harass you. I sometimes have some fun trolling them, making up elaborate and ridiculous stories in awe set to their questions, but it’s so boring. Is this the tax I have to pay for being a woman on an app with a chat function? I wish the developers would just remove the chat as I’ve never had a genuine conversation on it..Version: 14.90.4
✓ LossI have enjoyed playing WWF for around 10 years. Sometimes very challenging, which is most enjoyable and a learning process. I, too, have been hit in several times by men attempting to find out personal details of my status. I also tell them I am not interested and block the player.. I was playing with one particular player who lives in Memphis Tenn. I have been playing with him for around 2 years. I live in southern Spain. We had general conversations about the game, difficulties with certain games etc. A very platonic pen pal friendship. yesterday my whole WWF app disappeared and I can no longer play the games with him or anyone else I have been playing. Very frustrating after so long building up my points. I have tried to reinstall the app but it downloads a new start from 0 games. I am heartbroken to have lost 10 years of games and “friends”. ✓ InconsistenciesI have been playing WWF for about 10 years, thoroughly enjoy it. I have the ad free version, which I am happy with as I can’t stand having to wait for ads.. I play my friend, among other regular players, many games at the same time. Whilst comparing scores and games with my friend, who has the free version, I discovered that the cost in coins for our power ups is different. Mine cost 125 for 5, whilst she only has to pay 100 for 5 ! Doesn’t seem very fair to me, considering I have the paid version of the same game. Other inconsistencies appear in that we play virtually the same amount of games regularly, yet at one time we were on the same level, however, now she has races ahead of me by 2, I have been on the same level for 10 months ! I have no idea how to progress out of my current level of 23..Version: 15.40.2

I was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2018 my 60th birthday. I have found playing word 2 is help to keep my mind / brain active. I am amazed that I have reached no1 in global stats several times. Have finished in the top 20 of my friends stats.I play in a team low key and float between the top 10/15 every week. My regular friends list of average players is 25 to 30 who play them all regularly 3 to 4 times a day. Which I enjoy quite bit. Definitely keeping my brain very active. I don’t have much else to do every day. My aim is to keep my mind as active as possible. It appears to be working for me very well and I am proud to be improving my abilities playing really good hi scoring players. Sometimes winning the odd games against them. ✓ Such a great game and you don’t need to spendThe whole thing is really geared towards you loving it so much that you’ll spend actual money on in game benefits. But if you consistently ignore those and just choose as many opponents as you like (I think there is a limit but I play 9 or 10 people which is plenty for me) then you can’t help enjoying it. There is a chat facility which some people seem to think is some kind of social media thing. I interact with some people about our play or if people don’t like that I just play. They’re all like my little online game buddies who I’ll never meet but they play a little part in my day. Highly recommend…if you ignore all the tempting offers that you don’t need..Version: 19.20.2
✓ Videos are consistently NOT workingLook, I have played this game since it was released. I continually play at max number of games. When I try to watch videos for trophies or for daily word play I am unable to watch videos. It says they are unavailable or something went wrong. I understand there will be times that everything doesn’t work as you plan for it to, however, I’m not sure how many people are reporting this, but this happens way too much. I paid for the game however many years ago then, I get the rewards pass every month or so whenever that happens, I just don’t think I should continue to spend my money on things that don’t function properly. Also, while I have your attention, I’ve worked in the medical field all my life. Why are medical words not options to play a word? I feel limited on what I can use. This is the only game that I have played for this amount of time. Everything else I get bored with, and push it off to another page, or just delete it. Along with the fact that I do pay for the rewards pass, I do really enjoy this game and I don’t want to stop playing it but I want it to work. Please fix the video problem and ask your people what needs to be done to add some medical words. Also, could you please tell me what the secret is to guessing the word for the daily club puzzle? ✓ Unfair start to challenges.I’ve noticed lately that you have been late starting challenges, & not adding points accrued from when a new challenge starts, up until you come in late with new challenge. So unfair! In addition, I have complained about a few things that needed your attention, including questions about changing over to Words2, but even though I received an entirety number, you never got back to me. So, even though I have given you 5 stars, it is my hope that you will improve things in the near future! I’m not a fan of those coins etc, either. ✓ Good app generally but....Like other reviewers have been playing for years (since 2011 and my first iPhone). Don’t like the badges and wish I could switch off that function and just “play the game”. Used to it happening across the board but seasonal signals (like snow flakes) just remind me that people in the northern hemisphere never think that those in the souther hemisphere are experiencing high summer....and generally rarely encounter snow even in our winter. Last point: while US colloquialisms are accepted those from other English speaking countries generally aren’t. Understandable given where App was developed, but still irritating when your high scoring word is not recognised and rejected. But I’m still playing the game!.Version: 10.59.1
