✓ Awsome gameI’ve had this game for over a year now and every now and then I come back and fall in love again. Only one thing to top it off would be to play co-op online with others. I have played co-op multiplayer on same screen and it is fun but I live a busy life and it’s hard to play as far as on local aspect but even if there was competition between your last time trial runs or points generated. ✓ Slick Cyberpunk Shooter.This is a delicious mash up of 16 bit and Cyberpunk style, 80’s & 90’s movies, and gameplay from classics like Rolling Thunder and Metal Slug. This is an improvement on the source material as It has more content than a real Megadrive cart. There are tons of graphic and sonic flourishes and it also plays much more forgivingly. Which is no bad thing - as it remains challenging, but still fun. Controls are tight and the script, sound and atmos are top notch. Multiple characters give it replay value too. Everything about it oozes 90’s action shooter with the best little Easter eggs hidden throughout the artwork, voice acting and even the background music. The artwork is amazing and to top it off the gameplay is top notch for being easy to grok and not overly complicated. ✓ Masterful nod to 90s gaming.I picked this game up on a whim, having never heard of it before; the aesthetic value was immediately apparent, and I wanted to see if it would captivate me as the side-scrolling shooters of the 90s did in my childhood years. Holy $h!t. You can run, jump and slide while unloading rounds of ammunition in an enjoyable variety of enemy-types. The controls are responsive enough for you to slide up to an enemy, kick them off a ledge, blast them full of lead as they fall to their death, turn around and send some throwing daggers into another enemy as you jump off on to another ledge, where you blow up an explosive canister and obliterate another enemy. All of this happens quickly and is accompanied with top-notch animations and audio. Enemies flail around and scream on fire, your bounty hunters respond with varied audio depending on which enemies you kill and you how kill them. Every level entrance is a fun little cinematic, the bosses have fun dialogue and thought out combat loops/phases, the environments are detailed, the gameplay rewards skill; it’s just a very good game. Do you remember how dope Contra was? If you were 6-years-old and I walked up to you and gave you this game, it would have altered your reality; you’d never be able to go back to what was, you’d wanna play this all the time, you wouldn’t shut up about it during recess, girls would hate you, but you wouldn’t care about girls, you’d care about being the best bounty hunter, your grades would drop, parents would scold you, what do they know, nothing. ✓ The perfect mobile game!I don’t often write reviews but this game is too good. Whether you use a controller or the touchscreen, iPad or iPhone, this game is absolute perfection. Ridiculous dialogue, legitimately great music, and excellent mechanics make this an instant classic. The levels are the perfect length to actually be able to finish in a mobile session and the boss fights are extremely fun. I also love the pay model for this one; you can play a couple of levels for free and if you like it you can unlock the whole thing as an in app purchase with no ads or micro transactions. Wonderful!
