✓ The Update is a Huge DisappointmentI loved Mandala Maker until this latest update. What were they thinking? Everything has changed and it is no longer the intuitive program I loved using. The tutorial is a joke. I’m sure there were things done that would improve the old program, but this is like an entirely different and not so easy program. Thumbs down. Okay, I did another update and I have to retract my one-star rating. I will take it up to a 4, because now I can do some of the things I used to be able to do..Version: 3.2.3

✓ Could be perfect.This is a great app. There’s SO many options. So many different pens and shapes and colours. Well worth the £5 unlock. But I find myself going back to Amazograph simply because this doesn’t allow you to set default colours for things like background or pens. So I start a new mandala. I have to change the background to white. Every time. Then set the grid lines to black so I can see them properly. I select a pen. I have to change it from the random colour it’s set itself and back to the colour I use most (black). If you could set default options like white background for the grid. Black lines for the grid and black pencil, then change them as and when you need/want to I’d use it a lot more. As it stands I find it irritating having to change them every single time so I use amazograph. Edit - Received a response from the developer giving me a work around and promising an update to fix defaults. Thank you! Really appreciate it. So definitely 5 stars from me..Version: 3.3.1

✓ FabulousThis is a lovely app. I draw mandalas by hand normally. But thought I’d give this a go. It renders beautifully. The colour range and presets are great. I love the variety of stickers and line variants. The control tool with the stickers is really good even if you don’t use a iPen. Also the pro version of Mandala Maker is worth every penny, I would recommend anyone using the app to buy it. ✓ Mandela makerMandela make a download to support. It is soothing relaxing and really takes the stress out of your day. This is why I gave it four stars. There is one issue though, if you are taking Mandela making seriously and you want to make it not just for fun, you may need to pay for the premium. This is for lots of the things for example some of the colours , for different brushes and a few more things. If you are not prepared to pay I do not suggest downloading. It is also nice because as part of the game as a setting you can email the developer to comment on the application. You can change the mirror settings, you can make your own colours and save your own palettes, it’s great! AND it works on phones and iPads! I’ve really gotten the hang of making good art with this app. It’s ridiculous for people to complain about the upgrade since it’s a one-time thing. A lot of the issues I had have been resolved or are getting better. There are still some issues with crashing and not saving properly. A couple of suggestions: I wish we could invert symmetry of images placed from the layers tool. Also, the gold pen doesn’t work correctly if the mandala symmetry is offset..Version: 3.5.5

First of all I think people should be able to share their work and see others work so we can get inspiration. ✓ Use it every dayI am so happy to have found this app - I was drawing mandalas long before I got my iPad, and love being able to transfer one of my favorite pastimes to one of my favorite tools. For the record, I use Mandala Maker to draw my mandalas, then import them into Pigment to color them and love the results. A couple of things I would love to see in future releases: 1) squares that are actually squares, or that can be locked into squares (mine are always slightly off, which is really limiting); 2) a gallery such as the one in Pigment so users can see examples of what other users are creating; and 3) a feature that allows users to set default settings for line, fill, and background color instead of seeing them randomly change from one project to the next. ✓ It stopped workingI was having a lot of fun making new designs and playing with the different options. It was great. I would work on them all the time because it was a great way to relax and feel a bit constructive. Then the app stopped opening. Fun to play with the colors and combinations. I really love it now that I can undo lines that I might not like and the new shapes are really cool as well. ✓ AmazingI’m giving 5 stars because this is the only app I can find that actually works with iPhone - I don’t have an iPad. Please please please please please add these features though: The line brush: PLEASE make that one so that it works the same way as the compliment brush. I can’t really use it until it does that, or am I missing something? It’s not mirroring in the same way as the compliment brush does :( When you change the sensitivity, I wish the line would start where your finger touches the screen and not far from it. I have to guess where the line will start and then drag my finger well before it starts - which means I’m constantly pressing the undo button until I get the right starting point AND the right line. I use it almost constantly at mid sensitivity so my lines are smooth - so it’s frustrating having to draw the lines over and over again to get the one I want AND where I want it start from! Also edited to say - please add an eraser. To erase my lines currently, I set the sensitivity to zero and change the colour of the line to the background colour....Version: 2.2.0
