✓ Terrible experienceYour wasting your time and money. They manage the service terribly. A lot of no answers, a lot of fakes, you will make calls just for people to say they don’t need work done then you ask yourself why is the ad still up then? There’s no way of getting wasted credits back in terms of stuff like that that’s out of your hands. Don’t bother these guys also promised to credit you back if you haven’t gotten any jobs within 3 months and or from trying they service out and that was a lie. ✓ I got sucked in, it’s a scamReceived countless leads with hardly anyone making offers on lead request, so I thought I’d try with $55.00 option, I made 3 quote attempts and non offered any feedback, nothing. Not even a question or a query!!! Which is not normal for someone wanting a job done with no other offers and my pricing was reasonable if not very affordable. I’m feel that the leads are not real or few are legit with a lot just added like spam to use up your credits. 3 quotes used up $55.00 worth of credits. The jobs I quoted on was around $150-$170. I can’t spend more money on this kind of gamble. If the company took 10% commission would be fair but there ain’t real leads so it’s just a scam. It’s just not possible to make money with these guys. ✓ Wasting Money with scam advertisingI am a handyman. I have been trying to get work from Bark for a long time. But I did not see any benefit other than a waste of time and money. I pay £10 for each job because I think I will get £50 from it. Many customers write just to ask for prices and ask for very low fees. The worst experience I have had is that I have come across scam customers many times. When I called the customers, they told me not to call again and said it was a scam. I think the app owners are giving business with fake advertisements. I've heard the same problems from many of my handyman friends. ✓ I don’t recommend this appI don’t recommend this app. I would use Thumbtack instead. I had an issue where the client gave me a bogus email and phone number. I contacted customer support to ask for a refund and got an email from Samuel stating the information was valid. I went back and forth with him a couple of times and he still refused to give me a refund even though I fully explained the number was out of service and the email wasn’t working. ✓ I’m reporting your company for fraudThis app is a complete scam. They deleted my previous review because my review outlined every illegal practice they’re engaged in. I then threatened to report them to the office of fair trade which is the government body that regulates business practices at a state level. I also threatened to report them to the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) which is the government body that regulates business practices at a national level. I’ve lost 50 times what I’ve spent on this platform. Leads are getting significantly worse. Not better. Bark’s response to this degradation of lead quality is to repeatedly raise the price of credits used to purchase leads. Leads are now 3 times as expensive as what they were 2 years ago. They could aggressively market their platform to draw clients and professionals but instead they simply have their employees create fake leads and then request quotes under the fake profile which then creates artificial traffic on the website/app making them appear more successful then what they are. 90% of all leads are fake profiles. They send requests for quotes under these fake profiles then when you purchase the lead the Bark employee doesn’t answer your calls, texts or emails or they just put fake numbers and emails down so you can’t contact them anyway. Then they simply bleed money out of you while you chase after fake clients that don’t even exist. Numerous people on this platform have lost thousands of dollars, even tens of thousands of dollars before they realise it’s a scam. Instead of downloading this app you should report this company, their website and their app to the relevant government bodies that regulate businesses in your state and country and also report them to the Apple App Store..Version: 8.25.1
✓ ScamBark was less than amazing. A lot of the leads that I received were not verified. I spent almost $300 and none of them turned into fruition. I tried to call customer service and they argued with me that all of their leads are verified. I received a dial tone several times, so I know this cannot be true. When I asked about a credit towards my account to help me continue serving their clients, they said no. The funny thing about lead gen is that entrepreneurs are trying to serve the customers of these large companies in these large companies have no loyalty to us as entrepreneurs. I’ve spent just shy of $500 in credits and never closed a deal and the reason fir that is you rarely connect with a potential client. The majority of the leads resulted in either no answer (phone or email) or the phone number or email address didn’t exist. Bark was good at first to return my credits which was appreciated but that eventually ended. Bark had advised me that they were working on a system to prevent bogus leads by having clients verifying their phone numbers. I tested this and it doesn’t work. I’ve even offered to work with Bark to assist them with their issues but it fell on def ears. What broke this camels back is buying a lead that ended up being in a different province but the lead suggested the lead was in my province. Bark refused to refund my credits. ✓ Appalling robberyAnyone thinking of using Bark for work, don’t bother. Ive always avoided “paying for work” as i thought it wasn’t right but whatever you may think about my builder and so on is nothing compared to Bark. I recently joined to see if i could infill work in a few breaks i had, i paid £30 which is the minimum you can spend which bought me 20 tokens, i then used 11 tokens on one job which freed up the customers number and email, the other 9 tokens are useless as all jobs are over 10 tokens, after trying the number to no success i emailed the client, this client then read my email and decided not to respond. This may not be barks fault direct but in this instance i should be refunded and the response i received from them was shocking, after emailing bark about my issue i received the response that they dont do refunds, i received the same email over and over, its disgusting, especially for a new customer like me to learn they’ve taken my money with no consequence, i have now cancelled my account and will go back to traditional methods..Version: 7.12.1

Bark have decide let you increase their cost per lead from $2.50 to $2.65! Do you people really take us for fools? You buy $150 worth of credits and you think wow I’ve got 50 credits. Then you accept a lead and the lead cost nearly 40 credits!!! That’s $120 for just one lead!!!! Stop ripping people off! At first I was excited to have another company who were coming into this space and then that all changed. The leads are way too expensive and really not worth the money. This is where it’s really bad - you purchase a lead and then call them and almost every time it’s been someone who actually signed up to look for a job and not offering to hire a service. You may think it is beneficial sometimes but they are very well trained and train their staff to apparently blame us for the fine prints I also pay extra to be an elite pro and in return they charge me extra credits to purchase a lead and their support says it’s because I’m more likely to get the job . Also, I don’t get notifications when there is a new lead and my app is updated. ✓ PERSONAL TRAINERS DO NOT USE THIS APPThis app is terribly designed for personal trainers in comparison to it's competition app, thumbtack. After using both for a month to snag a few clients, I invested about $500 in each app. My return from the bark app got me only 1/19 clients that I was notified wanted a quote or wanted me to message them. I would end up texting these potential clients and get no answers . This app is totally rigged for trainers because paying for credits to be able to message potential clients is not cheap, especially when you do not even get a response. Out of the 19 clients, 12 requested for me to contact them and I got no reply from 10 of them. My responses were quick and within the hour. Most times I was one of the first two professionals to contact them. My recommendation is do not use this app, unless if you have unlimited finances . I invested a lot and got very little return. On the contrary, the competitor app got me perfectly matched clients and most of the individuals who messaged me actually replied . The competitor app varies because you set a weekly budget that is only charged if someone messages you, rather than needing to invest to message a potential client and get no response.I think a lot of these phone numbers are faulty or bots are used as profiles. As a reference, I have been training for eight years and have a master's in exercise physiology. No, it is not that I am not marketable. This app is just a rip off!.Version: 8.28.2

I was dubious about trying this as I couldn’t really afford it but was impressed by their get hired guarantee so took the max amount of credits and gave it a go. I rang every lead straight away and mostly got answerphones so left a message and followed up with a text with links to my work and an invite for them to call me back. Some people had already hired photographers outside of bark and not updated the ad so I payed for dead leads. I then contacted bark about the get hired guarantee and they would not refund me as I paid for my credits with Apple Pay. This wasn’t made clear and when I was offered 3 ways to pay I just picked the easiest. I have now wasted £109 I didn’t have and they say they can’t replace me credits due to the way I paid for them which I think is unacceptable as this isn’t made clear when purchasing!.Version: 7.11.0

Not only are Leads not Guaranteed, there’s zero Guarantee that you will be able to contact the customer after your Purchase of a Lead! The policy states Bark will not give your lead credit back if you reach out to the customer and never receive a response. Even when customer service reaches out to experience the same results, you still by policy will not receive your refunded credits. Even further, several leads say verified however aren’t. Considering Bark isn’t based on US soil, they get away with this terrible service. On Thumbtack, I have an amazing experience! I’d like to give them a -1 rating. ✓ Most Likely a Great ScamFound Bark a few months ago and it seemed to go to be true, leads for my business close by or even virtually. I bought a pack of credits without my worry because of their guarantee to replace if you don’t hear back from anyone the first time. I have now gone through every credit I purchased without a single email or text back from the 20 people I have reached out to multiple times through emails, texts, and calls. I have emailed internally through Bark as well as externally typing email addresses in and sending directly from my gmail. I’ve been curious if Bark emails go to spam so they might not be seen. You’re forced to pay upfront for leads that 90-95% don’t want the services and were just looking to find out how much it would cost. ✓ Great concept but unsustainable for businessesI really do like to concept of Bark and it is very straight forward to use. My only frustration is that the majority of leads that you bid credits on, you will never hear a response back or even have the customer view your profile. Bidvine used to refund your credits if the customer never acknowledged your bid on their job, and I really wish Bark would implement this feature too as it discourages me from continuing to use it when I’m having to pay out so much money to top up my credits with very little success rate. I’ve only had two hires and a handful of clients respond to my emails despite bidding on 39 jobs since joining Bark. Please reconsider the feature of refunding credits when clients do not acknowledge your bid on their request which Bidvine used to have, as it is not sustainable for me business to keep spending out on credits with very little success rate of getting hired. If this is not going to be a possibility, then I will no longer be able to justify using Bark which will be a great shame as I think it is a great idea. I was scammed into an account/subscription with Bark. I’ve responded to about 17-20 leads and no one is responding back. I see they have read the message, but they don’t respond. The estimates that I have provided based on their preferences are affordable and we have a new customer special. I try phone calling and the phones go straight to voicemail. The emails of the potential clients looks suspicious and fake. The names of the leads are cycled.
