Fun but buggyFun game but buggy as... picked up items sometimes don’t save to cache, character turns freeze mid game meaning you have to restart the app, and sometimes it will skip through a turn without letting you do anything (ie giving the zombies a double turn), but if these minor issues can get sorted, it would be a solid 4* game..Version: 1.02

Doesn’t play the same as the board game. You can’t just play a version like the board game. Characters are different and leveling is different. I wanted a direct translation, this is disappointing..Version: 1.03

A good start, has some rough edgesFirst, I am a fan of the board games. I own all of them, save the newest integration. (Green hoard at the time of this writing) This game captures the essence of the board game, but makes some design decisions I’m not a fan of. First, progress is not saved between devices. I play on an iPad and my iPhone, but I was disappointed to see I had to start over on both devices. Second, the “buy” buttons for DLC doesn’t seem to work. I also did not see any missions available as DLC, but perhaps I have not progressed far enough. Splitting my time between two devices to do the same thing hinders progress. The next thing I would bring up is that the touch sensitivity on the iPad Pro 11 is a bit funky. I like to use the Apple Pencil, but it’s extremely difficult to use. It also appears that some features are missing, like changing the primary weapon or reorganizing inventory. That was a key element to the board games, so it’s sad to see it go. After that, things like animations, sound (music is awful) and other quality of life items need to be tweaked. Overall I’m ok with the 4.99 price, but it feels like an unfinished product. I’d wait for a couple months if you aren’t a huge Zombicide fan..Version: 1.0

NOT the Tabletop GameI was with you until “Register an account for this character,” “Pay $2.99 for that character,” “Buy upgrade currency after we’ve strung you along for four levels.”.Version: 1.03

Asmodee absentDoes not respond to support requests..Version: 1.03

Unlimited zombies spawn make it unplayable .Some missions spawn triple number zombies than the team. Now stuck on the zone two. Nine game but terrible balance..Version: 1.03

It’s...OKNot great. Not bad. It is a little run through a zombicide story. Once you do the initial missions, you can replay at your current level and gained items. I breeze through it now and it has no challenge. I do it once in a great while for something to do until Zombicide 2nd Edition arrives. If we get more chapters, varying/scaling difficulty, and more interesting missions then my opinion would change..Version: 1.03

So disappointing. This is a rare miss from Asmodee Digital. Unfortunately this is a completely faithless rendition of the board game. Between the unnecessary hit points of the zombies to the lack of tension in finding a weapon or item, it misses the slow build of doom the board game has and instead replaces it with the videogame-esque combat system in an apparent attempt to not scare away the Xbox generation with board game rules. An unfortunate misstep and I have since deleted it from my iPad which is saying something as I literally own every other Asmodee Digital game ever made. A real missed opportunity to faithfully render a board game that works well already and didn’t need any changes..Version: 1.03

A much better version than this trashApple Arcade just released an app called The Otherside which takes the Zombicide basic structure and keeps true to it. This game was trash and hopefully I can steer some of you to a better version.Version: 1.03

Broken, buggy mess. From replaying missions not giving rewards sometimes to the game not letting you dual wield weapons even if they’re the SAME exact weapon that allows dual wield because they’re not the same rarity, this game is horribly bugged and we deserve compensation for the inconvenience and waste of our time..Version: 1.02

Bought this as the advert said Zombicide Digital BoardgameThis is only 1 player and is a campaign, upgrade weapons and characters kinda game. So not a digital version of the boardgame. Downloaded this to play with my friend as we wanted something to do. So 5 pounds wasted..Version: 1.01

What an ‘abomination’...If you’re hoping for a straight port of the boardgame, like I was, then you’ll be sorely disappointed. Unfortunately they’ve managed to remove all of the best bits out of the original game and make it a freemium type of phone game where you just blast through levels, and if you can’t do a certain level then just repeat one until you have enough money to upgrade your characters and try again. I think it’s known in the industry as a grinder. The weapons are a massive change from the boardgame. There’s no search action apart from single weapons in specific rooms. This is not very often and the weapons are random so quite often you end up with 8 hammers in your inventory, but all slightly different so they don’t work as “dual wielding” weapons. There’s also some behind the scenes, random number generating going on when you use the weapon, which doesn’t seem to make any sense whatsoever. It’s such a shame as Asmodee Digital have done a great job on some of the other boardgames they have made into digital games. I would love to see them make a true to the original version of zombicide but I don’t think we’re ever going to see it now that they’ve wasted a couple of years making this mess..Version: 1.02

Good but bugs such as final mission quite annoyingNice, lots of fun, but on the final mission the second objective is kill 40 zombies. Killing well over 40 zombies doesn't activate that condition so the came cannot be beaten..Version: 1.01

Good but shortWish they would be more missions (entension perharps). Fun game !.Version: 1.02

Slow animationsLet me know when they add fast/instant animations.Version: 1.03

Be careful buying charactersPurchased a character bundle. Can use them on the phone but will not show up on my ipad(which I prefer to play on) Sent in a help request and have heard absolutely nothing Will change review once I get what I paid for.Version: 1.02

ShameIt’s OK for what it does, but it’s far too easy, and just not the board game, which is a shame. No replayability whatsoever. Disappointing, whichever way you look at it..Version: 1.02

Buggy messAs others have noted, dual wielding weapons doesn’t work as advertised unless they’re of the same rarity. Touch sensitivity is messy and inaccurate. Most unforgiving is the repeatable bug that prevents completion of the last mission—the game freezes (although it oddly still lets you flee from the mission) as soon as the A-Bomb is defeated..Version: 1.03

Great but too shortI love the game right up until the too-soon end. Then you get to play it again with all levels and weapons you’ve earned...but nothing scales..Version: 1.02

Zombicide liteI’m a little disappointed at the execution of this game. It’s not a very faithful port of the board game and the description is a bit deceptive. The game plays a bit like Hunters or, more recently, Warhammer quest but with much less customization. There really isn’t a lot of control here. They level up, they get a set of skills. That’s it. I’ve played the board game and it’s much more in depth. In fact, I would suggest that aside from the name, the two have very little in common. It’s a bit buggy too. Item drops would not show up in the inventory after a mission. This gets a bit frustrating..Version: 1.02

Fun Port, A Little BuggyFun port of the board game. Mechanics and gui are easy to navigate. I really like the weapon and character leveling system. But the 40 scenarios go by real quick. Would love to buy additional quest lines. The final zone is bugged. Sometimes the game action freezes when you complete an objective. Settings and forfeit buttons continue to work, but can’t navigate the board or choose character actions..Version: 1.03

Stick toThe board gameWaist of time and money, if you like the board game stick with that’s and don’t waist a penny on this Can believe CMON would allow such a game to be released , their reputation in the board games field is epic and they should stick to that or make sure the game matches their board game level.Version: 1.01

Fun, but serious problems!I paid the cost for the app and I dashed through all the levels in 4-5 days. Then...nothing. Games over. All you can do is grind to keep upgrading, but the amount you need to upgrade one character could take 2-3 hours of grinding. For what? So you can play the same levels you’ve already mastered? No difficulty levels. Nothing. Then I bought some DLC characters thinking they might open new areas. Nope. Then I decided to start over with one of the DLC characters and the UI freezes after you give Rauol the command to fire on a few zombies in the first level. I loved this game while I was playing it and I love the board game but this version burns out fast and is really buggy. Contacted support, not even a ‘we’ll get back to you soon’ email..Version: 1.03

Why not multiplayer co-op?Also, this game does not follow board game LoS rules for alleys inside buildings. The game treats them like indoor locations, so I can’t shoot past one with a rifle.Version: 1.03

Unplayable crashesNonstop Crashes..Version: 1.02

Grossly UnbalancedI think like so many others, I am a fan of the board game. It was a ton of fun, easy to get into, and one of the most well balanced board games in the last decade. Therefor it’s a shame that this game is such a mess and utilizes the success and general mechanics of the original game to make a weak attempt at capitalizing on the app/micro-transaction market. The game itself is built around getting you to a point where you have no choice but to throw money at micro-transaction to proceed. By implementing a system where your heroes can only take 3ish hits before death while the zombies can have double digit health (and never miss) the game is designed to play you into a corner where it’s impossible the play further without spending more money. Which is ridiculous considering the game isn’t even free. The gameplay otherwise works similar to the original where each character has a certain number of AP and attempt to collect resources and survive waves of zombies of increasing difficulty. But again the balancing falls apart as the rate the difficulty increases is staggering. My hope is that some future patching to balance the game and make it playable will come. But it’s a shame that CMON is trying to wring their fan base of every last penny before delivering something worthwhile..Version: 1.02

Huge disappointmentAfter seeing many board games get digital versions lately, I couldn’t wait for zombicide seeing as it’s one of my favourites. The only downside being is that it takes a while to set up so a digital version would be perfect. But... This is not a digital version of the board game. It’s a more streamlined ‘campaign style’ game where you have to upgrade your survivors and go through set levels. The problem is that the set levels are so small and full of zombies that the only strategy here is: 1. Move to a zone where there’s no zombies 2. Shoot at adjacent zone with zombies in it 3. Repeat 1. and 2. until all zombies are dead or you’ve completed objectives. The board game had so much more depth. You could plan your strategy from the beginning when there were no zombies on the board. You could have some survivors going to clear certain buildings while other survivors could deal with other objectives and so on. Now you’re just dropped in the middle of a map with loads of zombies and it’s just about killing and moving. I would’ve loved just a plain and simple digital version of vanilla zombicide. Hopefully I’m not on my own. Please devs, if you’re reading this, make it happen. The foundations are there now because in terms of gameplay and graphics and control system it’s all spot on. It would definitely get a 5 star rating if the original board game was made available to play..Version: 1.0

Game will not restore purchases.Spent over $10 on in app purchases and after buying a new iPad I re-downloaded the game again but would not restore any purchases. Made multiple contact attempts without an answer..Version: 1.03
