Pill mill that didn’t document my careMy experience was super sketchy as a adult it’s important my chart reflects the care I’ve received. But I was simply another recipient of undocumented medication. I should’ve ran for the hills when they refused to discuss insurance with me. Because they didn’t check my medical history. Everything was off books. It was some lady awkwardly staring at me asking me questions and explaining the bare bones. Then telling me sorry about you if the pharmacy won’t fill it. I felt not only fleeced but sick to my stomach that I basically received back alley treatment. Respect yourself ladies and gents and nonbinary pals. Don’t go to Planned Parenthood if you have an emergency. It won’t show up that you have BC or on meds that they give you. Same with if you have had a procedure done..Version: 2.355

The new update was frustratingI used the older version of this app and although that one wasn’t the most intuitive, it got the job done. I used it for about a year and got my birth control refills right on time and never stressed. But when this app came out I noticed that I didn’t get my refills, I forgot my login info so I tried to reset my account but I didn’t get any emails. There was no number to call for tech support so I just called the general PP helpline, they couldn’t help me out with this app but we’re still understanding and helped me set up an appointment. The entire process has stressed me out, what was helpful about this app was that I could order birth control from home and get it quickly but it seems like they lost my info in the transfer. I had recommended the old app to a lot of my friends so now I feel bad that they might be in the same boat as me. Next time you do a big update give instructions for how we can continue to use your service!!.Version: 1.294

Lack of information upfront meant I had to pay twiceLast year, I used this app to get a years worth of birth control with no issue. Now, I am trying to get another prescription for the same medication, but I was told they can only prescribe 3 months worth until I submit a blood pressure reading. This is very frustrating because I will have to resubmit my request, which will be a ‘new visit,’ which I will have to pay for again. Had I been informed earlier that it was mandatory to enter my blood pressure I would have waited to request the birth control until I got that done. This is especially frustrating because I did not need to enter my blood pressure last year to get my prescription..Version: 2.355

Lost a customer of two years.Physicians clearly don’t listen and don’t respond to the needs and wishes of the patients. I experienced constant bleeding with a BC and went to the doctor and was told to stop. After I went I contacted my prescribing clinician to explain the horrific problems I have and that I wanted to switch back. She then tried forcing me to stay on the same script that the hospital had just told me to discontinue, after telling me to “go to the hospital if you’re bleeding continuously” - which clearly said to me that this entire time she wasn’t listening and was just trying to push their new sponsoring brand. Went straight to the pill club, had a virtual appointment, and got my BC of MY CHOICE THAT I’M PAYING FOR prescribed within 24 hours and sent to me for HALF THE PRICE EVEN WITHOUT INSURANCE. Never again, as a cervical/ovarian cancer survivor- trying to continue to prescribe what she did was DANGEROUS to say the least..Version: 1.566

Highly disappointedIt all seemed so easy. Give them some medical history and they send you birth control. No need for anyone to touch you. I had a great experience on the previous app. But unfortunately the clinician that received my application this time was as unhelpful as can be. She first told me that I could only receive a certain type of pill due to my medical history and would be switching me, then on the FaceTime call she did not remember that she was going to switch me to a different pill. She then called me back after hanging up saying she would switch me to the new pill and did not inform me about the new pill. It did not have placebos and will make me miss my period. Two things I never said I wanted. I have completely wasted $60 due to her error. There is no refunds and nothing she can do about her error. She also lied to me saying she told me I wouldn’t have a period on this new pill, had I heard that I would have stopped her. I’m now going to use a more knowledgeable app for my birth control needs..Version: 1.302

CHECK THE APP YOURSELFI got PP direct because the service I was using for birth control beforehand raised their prices. Getting the prescription was easy enough, but the delivery was another story. They sent it through USPS so it went to our mailbox (shared with several houses in the community). ALL OF MY NOTIFICATIONS FOR THE PP DIRECT APP WERE TURNED ON, but I wasn’t notified about the delivery. I had to go in the app myself to see the message saying it was delivered, but by then it was sitting in a 90°+ mailbox for over 24 hours, and though the customer service person was nice, nobody could tell me if the birth control was compromised or not. The actual provider never even messaged me back, I just heard back from customer service. Now I’m down $60 for birth control that I can’t even use because I’m worried they won’t be effective. Long story short, you have to check the app yourself, don’t rely on the notification service..Version: 2.316

Great idea, but executed poorlyI love the option to order birth control online and have it shipped straight to me. However, the app has some major bugs that are now causing me to run out of my prescription. I had a video chat set up for 1:00pm today and entered the call at 12:58pm. I received an email at 12:59pm stating I had a new message, but the email didn’t say what the message said. I received another email at 1:05pm informing me that I had a new message, but I couldn’t view either message without ending the video call. I waited until 2:15pm in the “waiting room” for the doctor to answer my call, thinking that maybe they were running behind and would get to me eventually, and that’s what the messages were about. Eventually, I realized that the doctor was not going to answer my call, so I ended the video chat. Then I checked the messages to see that at 12:59pm, the doctor informed me they were waiting on my video call. At 1:05pm, they informed me they were cancelling my request because I didn’t answer their video chat, even though I had been in the waiting room that whole time. I submitted a new request, but there isn’t a new video chat opening for 5 days, which means I likely won’t get my prescription in time. Whatever bug caused this issue NEEDS to be fixed. There also needs to be an option to read messages without ending the video call, because that ultimately would have helped me avoid the predicament I’m now in..Version: 2.357

Login issuesSince the new update I have tried logging in with an account already had with you guys and I tried creating two new accounts with my boyfriends email and one of the emails that I had just made and every time I try to login it says that my accounts already in use and I cannot use that email or the information is correct I’m not sure why this is happening but I obviously need to get into my account I’m so sad that this happened because this has been a really great app for me so disappointed that this is happening. WORST APP EVER I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR DAYS TO GET INTO MY ACCOUNT! this is ridiculous the amount of times i’ve tried to login and create new accounts it won’t let me doing anything! I NEED BIRTH CONTROL FIX THIS !!!.Version: 2.236

Just be careful.**Update at the bottom** I almost never leave bad reviews because I know all too well what it’s like, but I’m sitting here flabbergasted. I’ve been going through Nurx, who actually takes my insurance for my birth control. PP advertises to stop your period for $40 more than what I already pay, so I decided to sign up to see if I could switch and they could stop mine because I’ve had billing issues with Nurx in the past. Before I could get any of my questions answered by the NP, though, she went right ahead and immediately filled a prescription while I was still typing a question. I quickly deleted what I was typing to try to request them to wait to let me ask my question upon seeing the “We filled the prescription, thanks for choosing Planned Parenthood!” message, but it was too late. I was not interested in the more invasive BC options that they suggested, so I was just going to go ahead and cancel my inquiry and account, but now I’m $75 out for nothing. It’s unfortunate because I’ve always thought so highly of PP until today. I’ll still support their message, but this dented my belief in them. I don’t recommend this line of business. **Update: Thankfully, I’ve been refunded. I don’t like how they quickly just take your money and don’t let you ask questions, but the refund was given fast. I say just be careful and make sure they know up front that you’re just inquiring before they start up a whole new prescription..Version: 2.280
