✓ Keeps crashingLovely looking game, but I’ve played it twice and it’s crashed twice. Please fix this Perchang so that I can give more stars. Update: much better now that the bug causing the crash has been resolved. Having to think about how best to deploy your party often with tactical fighting retreats makes combat require a bit more thought than its predecessor. One point to improve upon would be navigation of your party to avoid the mistake of walking through fire etc, perhaps by drawing out your intended route before committing to it..Version: 1.004
✓ LovedI loved this game. I spent some money on it, but it wasn’t necessary, just for some additional characters and such. I really enjoyed the play through, BUT... This game was Way too short. I wouldn’t mind buying new campaigns, but none are available... So in short, I spent money, loved playing it, and it was over Way too quick. I need more! Please add Campaigns. I really liked the lay-out: -stunning environments -Fun bosses (need more) -Awesome characters (need more development options) -Loved weapons, there is a lot of room for enhancement -Party dynamics are really good (I did want a better healing spell- maybe a party heal, but there was not enough challenge to merit it yet. -Great story and art work- -loved the lore that WARHAMMER brings, but it COULD totally use more characters, and expansions..Version: 1.011

✓ Enjoying it so farReally pleased the crashes were fixed very quickly, thank you. Enjoying the sequel so far, not as much as the first but only now properly giving it the time it deserves. Crashed a lot before the update and now crashes every time I try and enter a dungeon. ✓ Constantly improvingThere’s a great game in here. Some of the criticisms that I’ve read on here are more a lack of player understanding. For a start, levelling the character gives the character a random bonus stat improvement, this is very useful in the whole (especially when it’s an added action point). Aoe spells, the target area must be dragged from directly over the caster to over a different area. The spells can make a big difference depending on things like critical chance, damage type and if they are based on Int. Xp is gained based on damage & healing done, not on killing blows (as previous game). Improvements they should make (IMO): Rolling shop inventorys Dual wield for players as well as npcs More dwarves More mob variety.Version: 1.101

✓ Fun but limitedGreat RPG/ turn-based strategy game. Smooth difficulty curve, interesting build opportunities, requires some tactical variation encounter to encounter (until you hit those optimal builds that is). Unfortunately there are only 10 story missions and 4 classes included in the initial purchase, with two additional campaigns for $5 each and a handful of classes for $e each. Theres also no bulk purchase option to unlock the entire game for a reasonable fee. This adds up to $28 ON TOP of the price of the original game. The game is fun, but ultimately it looks and plays like a phone game..Version: 2.205

✓ Far Superior To Its PredecessorSyncs seamlessly between iOS devices Beautiful graphics Get this if you love turn based strategy games with RPG progression! The difficulty is no joke but everything is beatable once you master the tactics. 9/10 on App Spy and Pocket Tactics. I installed this in May 2018 and it’s very stable on both my late model iPhone and iPad devices. I like the Deathwatch game, too, but it hasn’t been updated for two years. ✓ Good game, but certainly a step backwards from the first game!I played through this first, then went a picked up the original Warhammer Quest afterwards, and the original certainly has more to it than I thought! Magic users with spells, a fast forward button during enemy turns, more detail for the towns you visit, earning gold per kill in dungeons, just to name a few differences! This game certainly has better graphics, but that’s the only improvement I can see from the original. They could have done so much more with this :/ still worth playing though!.Version: 2.401

✓ Improved, no crashes yetI am about 10 missions in (5 story + 5 alt), no crashes at all yet on iOS 10. Overall I am enjoying it a lot more than the original. I am leaving this as the other reviews don't really touch in it all. What's changed: - bigger, more interesting rooms (some would be 4x +++ the size of the old large rooms) - more enemies can spawn - enemies have resistances so you don't just get 'the best weapon' you can have at one time, heroes carry 2 (or more if you want) - great 3D graphics - heroes now block LoS of enemies - different combat, you are not guaranteed move + action and instead have to weigh it up (interesting change imo) - you no longer get ambushed continuously - you no longer loot as you go, instead you get it all at the end of a run - more interesting armour/weapons where they can inflict status (such as Fire) but also slow you down (increasing AP to attack if the armour is heavy) no longer do you just buy green > blue > orange armour/weapons - I haven't seen much 'magic' yet though I only have the four base characters, I enjoyed the magic more in #1 - you can have more than one of each hero type and rotate through them all - I haven't found a difficulty setting option like Hardcore from #1, there seems to be no permadeath - IAP paid heroes seem expensive and I am avoiding them. I don't like paying almost as much for one hero as I did the game. Disappointing as dwarves are the best and you don't get one! - in some towns you can't level up, which is just annoying and you need to just remember what each town has. ✓ Good but needs optimizationHow the heck does this thing run better on my iPhone 6s Plus than on my IPad Mini 4? Seriously, this game is amazing but I can only really play it on the IPhone 6s Plus because it lags like hell on the Mini 4- get this fixed and ill give it 5 stars- until then, I gotta dock it 2 stars for poor iPad performance EDIT: lag is fixed everywhere EXCEPT for two areas-the main over world map and main menu. The menu isn’t a big deal but having the overworld map lag sooooo badly is just insanely annoying. I’ll give one star back but am holding the 5th star until the map lag is fixed.Version: 1.004

✓ Updated ReviewAll crashes appear to be due to previous ios platform. Works perfectly on the latest update. Crisp graphics, great characters, good sound and music. ✓ Want to love it so bad...***After recent patch, bugs were fixed so my save game was no longer crashing upon loading. Game works as intended now, and upgraded my rating to reflect that. There still seems to be some issues with equipment modifiers but happy to report I’m thoroughly enjoying the game now.*** Trouble is, as others are saying, its buggy. Too buggy for a paid game in my opinion and too many things that just don’t make sense. I’ve done my best to overlook all the problems because I wanted to play it so bad, but now my game has crashed mid-fight, and my save game will no longer load without crashing while loading. The type of things I’ve looked over until now were extra warriors I couldn’t delete, dumb AI that walks through flames instead of around, abilities that only partially work or won’t add the stated bonus from stats, ranged abilities that won’t fire ranged, to regular crashes. If the bugs can be corrected so I can at least play my saved game, I would increase this rating. Until then it’s unplayable to me as I am not starting another game just because my last one bugged out. Right now I can not recommend this game..Version: 1.008
✓ Really fun but needs higher difficulty settingsThe game was fun. I thought it played much smoother than 1. Less gimmicks to get stuck in. Less unfair ambushes. But I found this to be too easy. ✓ Superb!The game has been working great with zero technical problems. Purchasing the additional characters, similar to WHQ 1, also unlocks their gear for purchase from the blacksmith and/or as quest rewards which functions the same for the free starter characters. I really like the gameplay elements of this release, and graphically it is excellent. Thank you for adding individual character screens with the option of a color palette for customization. The only thing I don’t agree with thus far is that if a character is injured, the injury can only be healed by leveling up. ✓ Fun to playGreat game in general. Finished the first 10 mission and have bought the expansion which is very similar to the first games expansions. Agree that skill increases should be more related to the character. If you’ve played the first one you will enjoy this one. ✓ Fun but some issuesI am having fun but some things are unclear. I purchased all three classes; greatsword, mage, and slayer and the packs say they come with additional things like armor and runes. I have the classes, but none of the other stuff. Also, stepping in fire seems far too punishing early on. Especially since your group does not auto-avoid it. If you step in fire at level 1 or 2 your are almost certainly dead. Edit: if I knew there were only 10 main levels I never would have paid $5 + $9 iap for this..Version: 1.004

✓ Good, but should have been epicAt first glance WHQ2 is a great game and an insta-buy for fans of the original. There are differences of course, with the inventory system streamlined with no more micromanagement in dungeons to worry about and free refills of potions once bought. The promo videos and screenshots speak for themselves. Combat can devolve to blocking and using ranged attacks to kill the enemy as they approach but this has now been fixed as new waves of critters ambush your in the middle of battle. My rating has now gone up from 3 to 4 stars because of this. XP is accrued at a far greater rate than gold, presumably to try to tempt you to make in app purchases of gold to allow your characters to level up or get better kit. Nice try, but no thanks. Overall, despite certain improvements and further tweaks to the game as initially released I still prefer the original, but they’re both worth getting if you’re a fan of the genre..Version: 2.313

✓ Good game with fun combat and great visualsThis game has a really nice turn based combat and it looks great. The game’s biggest problem is that you never have quite enough money to be able to keep your characters leveled up as you play through the game. This method of encouraging micro-transactions feel somewhat forced and restrictive and I wish they had simply stuck to selling expansions and different characters rather than also making sure you were constantly shortchanged on cash..Version: 1.004

✓ Worth itAs a fan of the first warhammer quest, I kept my eye on this game for a long time. Recently bought on sale and very pleased. People have posted negatively about this title. Let me speak to the issues. 1. Bugs: The title seems to have been buggy on launch. So far I haven’t noticed issues with the current build. 2. Differences from the first Warhammer Quest: these include condensing movement and attack into one pool of action points, and things like hero impermanence. The latter is a big one. It’s often better to hire a new hero than level up. Equipment and skill kits are often cheaper on a new hero than with individual purchases. 3. Misunderstanding of game mechanics. I read a review several times complaining that a mage got strength on a level up. Strength is the damage dealing stat for all classes including mages. 4. Microtransactions: personally I don’t mind paying additional cash if the content is worth it. I vastly prefer a game selling content than a game that starves me of energy or some similar mechanic, forcing me to pay to play. Overall at this point I’d say this is a worthy successor. If you enjoyed the first I think there’s much to enjoy here..Version: 2.301

✓ Best Game everThis game is awesome, you can choose from a number of great characters! Love the role play action, chose how you want your hero’s attributes & weapons to be! Great story definitely better than the first, I love how by choosing different choices you have different outcomes “Good or Bad”! The only reason it’s not getting five star is because “I think they should have all the Warhammer world map on here” like the PC version only adapted to this style of play! You have the Empire but add the Empires of “Dwarfs, Bretonnia, Lizardmen, High Elves, Wood Elves, Sea Elves, Tomb Kings, Chaos Dwarfs & undead Legions! That’s it I think I got them all if you can’t for this version maybe part three you could..Version: 2.205
✓ Is good, but.....I love this game and it’s just the few little things in it that annoy me about it. Explosive items don’t seem to work, you only seem to be able to target yourself with them, useful huh? Spells and skills don’t seem to work and again, you can only target yourself with offensive spells. If the game was just about giving everyone a weapon and not bothering with spells/abilities, it would be great. Please try and fix this, my review score will go up to 5 if so, is a great game otherwise.Version: 2.003
