Heart Rate Monitor - Pulse BPM for Negative User Reviews

Free but not very accurateSeems to work better with a thumb - sometimes it just comes up with a wild high number though seemingly at random.Version: 2.0

Heart rate appToo many ads, not accurate. Maximum 8RM set deadlifts where I was on the floor l, heart pounding & it measured me at 61 bpm..Version: 2.0

UselessSaid my pulse was 120, then 100. I counted manually and it was 64. Don’t waste your time..Version: 2.6

Does not measure SpO2What a load of hot garbage, I can manually enter blood oxygen into Apple Health and that’s free without ads..Version: 2.16

Will not work off wifiIt is useless unless your are at a wifi location where most of us would be sitting down. Can’t use it while out fir a walk etc. Garbage!.Version: v2.13

Cassirama3I started to download this app after checking it out but cancelled it before it had a chance to load because a notification popped up saying processing payment. No way I’ll pass..Version: 2.0

Too many adsI wonder how well this app works without the ads to junk it up and slow it. It looks like a nice tool. The readings often match what I see with my Garmin Heart Rate Monitor. I’ll use this in a pinch to compare with friends but I won’t reward the developer with a purchase. The amount of ads is disgusting. Will definitely look at the competition..Version: v2.12

Forget it96% adverts and unwanted rubbish and 4% application doing what you would expect - thought I would try it a second time after deleting it several years ago. It hasn’t improved any it is still a waste of time. Deleting after this honest review..Version: v2.13

Accessibility has gotten worse, usually can’t Close the adsIt used to be better, but using voiceover on iOS, it is usually impossible to close any of the ads. Even with screen recognition, finding a closed button has gotten extremely difficult. And of course they bombard you with ads before they let you have any kind of result. I understand using it for free means it’s got to be add support it, but at least have some consideration for your disabled users. Deleting..Version: v2.10

Doesn’t workDoesn’t work on iPhone 13.Version: v2.10

Great but too many annoying appsLove the app BUT too many annoying adds where if it keeps doing so I will stop using it I have another way I own a iHealth monitor and have there app no adds no crap . If these adds where not so annoying I would considered there pro app . But it’s a bad start for them to sell you software with the free one that has all the crap that pops up every second . If you will not get annoyed like I did then download it if not stay away from this app..Version: 2.0

Doesn’t workCould not get this app to detect my pulse at all..Version: 2.9

Wildly inaccurateIt’s got great features but is largely inaccurate. I have been recently diagnosed with bradycardia and needed an app to try and monitor it. This is telling that my resting heart rate is between anywhere from 80-99 when it’s actually typically 40-44..Version: 2.6

AdsToo many ads that are difficult to stop. Not the way to attract me to paying..Version: 2.9

Incorrect reading when upgrading to proI downloaded this app, then decided to purchase the pro because it seemed to be pretty accurate. Once I download the pro version, it immediately stopped working correctly. I get heart palpitations that are noticeable, and my heart rate gets close to 140bpm, sometimes higher. I was checking it while I was still having these palpitations and it was saying my HR was normal (80) every time I checked it. It would start out metering over 100bpm then towards the finish it would drop to 80. Don’t recommend paying for this..Version: 1.5

GosseÇa va les pop up!! Pas moyen d’utiliser l’app tranquil.Version: 3.3

ErraticThis app seemed to work well initially but a couple of months in and now it’s really erratic. The heart rate is jumping around between the 40s and 60s and doesn’t settle before it registers the HR; I’ve double checked with the equipment at work (hospital) and my HR is stable and usually somewhere between 55 and 60. This app unduly made me anxious that I might have had an irregular heartbeat, which was not the case. Not great..Version: 2.8

Only 3 times a day.You have to pay for a subscription if you want to test more than 3 times a day. If you need to test more than 3 times a day this isn’t the app for you. It isn’t for me that’s why I deleted it..Version: 2.9

Where’s the oximeter the ad says it has??Where’s the oximeter the ad says it has??.Version: 2.0

Doesn’t workWaste of time.Version: 2.7

Usability is low to noneDon’t download this app. The usability is so poor I finally had to switch to a different heart rate app. This app is not usable because the ads prevent heart rate from being measured and recorded. When I am able to measure my heart rate, the measuring ability is finicky. It will start and stop, even if my finger and body are not moving. Often it just cancels the reading, as if I had removed my finger. The ads are constant - I have to get through 3 each time I want to measure and save my heart rate once. Recently I have been receiving ads that *DO NOT HAVE A CLOSE BUTTON* which means I have to force close the entire app and reopen it and hope I don’t get the same ad. Unfortunately I do get the same ad. After managing to measure my heart rate I wasn’t able to x-out of the ad (and it didn’t close on its own - I waited), so my heart rate was not saved. What is the point of a heart rate app if you can’t measure and record your heart rate?.Version: 2.7

InaccurateRatings fluctuate over 10bpm within a few seconds of each other. Doesn't work..Version: 3.3

Too Many adsThis would be a good App, however like them all nowadays it’s primary intention is to sell you more Apps and take your money, hence loads of Ads.Version: 3.1

InaccurateEvery time I compare my pulse manually verses the app, the rate on the app is always 30% higher..Version: 2.9

HeartRateLiteThis is a great app but I can’t find anywhere to write notes. At this time I am suffering with Covid and am in Isolation. I would like to track symptoms but can’t find a place to chart.Version: v2.13

Minor issuesWhen adding past data cannot change time needs fixing. Date format also needs to be fixed as inputting did/mm/yyyy show yyyy/mum/dad when saved.Version: 2.16

Data to Apple Health doesn’t workThe data share with Apple Health doesn’t seem to work. When you select, in settings, “Health App Sharing”, after a confirm message, it closes the app display but nothing happens, looking like an app crash... it seems that it tries to invoke the Health settings, but it doesn’t work... Also the app shows as “Inactive” in Apple Health. This looks like a bug, which unfortunately, makes the app useless to be used with Apple Health, which is the only use I was looking for. (IOS 13.3, the last one).Version: 2.6

Ad spam4 uncloseable ads to take my pulse. Deleted..Version: v2.11

Three readings a day. Download the other appYou’re only allowed three free readings a day….that might work if this was the only free heart rate app (which it’s not). Just download the other Heart Rate App that comes up as #1 rated. That app allows as unlimited readings a day. That’s what I did and I deleted this app.Version: v2.10

Doesn’t workBeware not to use this to give you an accurate view of your heart rate. It doesn’t work. It was giving me a read out of around 77 for some reason when I know for a fact it is much lower. Using a heart strap and also counting my pulse manually mine is 37-38. Tried many times to get this app to work but it doesn’t unfortunately. But on the whole I have many of this type of measuring apps not to work, maby they don’t on the lower heart range..Version: v2.11

Why adddddsssssss?????????????The heart rate is wrong and there are always these silly ads what never go away when you press close , to prove it's wrong when my finger wasn't on the flashlight and it said measuring keep still 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 how can it do that that's Satan magic isn't it , every spirit is probably in it hhahahaahahaahahahahahHhhAhahahahahahahahajajajahahahahahhahahahhhahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahaha btw this review is not meant to be negative 🐶🐶🐺🐺🦆btw the duck is meant to be a goose but the iPad doesn't include the goose emoji wow 무ㅛㄷ묘 ㅑㅜ ㅁ 재일 ㅜㅛㄷ.Version: 2.2

Heart Rate AppNot declaring this is a subscription app before you down load it is misleading advertising & May be illegal in the country I have downloaded it in..Version: 3.3

3 times a day if you don’t payYou get 5 ads per measurement and you can only measure 3 times a day… deleted.Version: 3.3

Couldn’t be less accurate.Heart rate measure consistently at 60-70 resting on Apple Watch, i work at a place where i can check it regularly and it is always at the same on an official blood pressure checker. Tested on this and it came at 138bpm resting, checked watch straight after and haven’t been at more than 80bpm all day. Don’t rely on this at all..Version: 2.8

It’s FreeThis app does exactly what I wanted it to. Aside from the sketchy pop up ads it’s fine. Taking a pulse reading it always jumps a quarter way around the little timer circle, so it seem like you have very little time to relax and get an accurate reading sometimes but it’s ok. Again it’s free. I had another app that did performed the same function but they eventually wanted me to register so they could get my email address. If this app ever asks that I’ll delete this one too..Version: v2.13

Heart rateHeart rote is very different and when I check it on my own machine.it’s nominal.Version: 2.9

WARNING: MINIMUM HEART RATE APP CAN MEASURE IS 49.This is OK as a basic heart rate monitor app. BUT, after using it for 3 months I realized there is a major glitch. I am an athlete with a low resting heart rate of around 50. After hundreds of measurements I realized most of the time it showed 49, like exactly 49, and never ever lower. I just timed it myself with a watch and it’s 44, but sure enough, the app says 49. I think the genius programmer did this because the app display graph starts at 50 and he didn’t want the app to show values below that so it just gives 49 as a default result for anything measured below 50..Version: 2.2

Horrible ads, can't even see first resultHorrible ads, can't even see your first heartbeat per minute result without a video ad of a person having a simulated heart attack! Then takes several presses in various area in top of screen to make it go away. But no worries , the same video advertisement shows up again in about 30 seconds in case you weren't freaked out enough the first time. Yes it seems to have measured my BPM correctly but I'm not going to be putting up with these ads. I'm deleting this one now..Version: v2.13

Ad Popped up right awayI downloaded this app to check my heart rate, and an ad popped up right away. It ask me to go to camera settings and open something up I could not find what it was looking for. Does this device not work with an iPhone X ?.Version: v2.13

Ads and that’s it!There are so many ads on this app, you can’t see any result for more than a second before an unclosable ad comes up. Absolutely terrible, will avoid and all apps like this, and I suggest you do the same. This is absolutely the worst app I’ve ever installed. This might as well be an advertisement application. There’s no reliable functionality and it blows you up with ads. I hope the production team chooses a new path in life that doesn’t involve wasting someone’s time. Boo!.Version: 2.7

Completely uselessI’m guessing this app is a complete scam. Compared the results to professional heart monitoring equipment and the results were completely off. Definitely should not be for sale on the App Store..Version: 3.3

Incompatible with iPhone 14Incompatible with iPhone 14. Please fix it! It used to be a great app, when I had iPhone 11. It caught many episodes of SVT, that I was able to get to ER quickly via ambulance.Version: v2.13

BadToo many ads.Version: 1.4

As much as I like the app…As much as I like the app you charge way too much..Version: 3.4

LanguePourquoi ce n’est pas en français.Version: 2.9

Sorta worksI wanted to be able to check my Blood Pressure but the app is not doing that. It shows BPbut it is just a log. I have a friend that uses this app as well on her Samsung phone and hers will take her pulse and then give her her BP reading as well. I have an IPhone 12 and it does not so that. I can take my Heart Rate and log my BP but I’m unable to have a BP measured thru the app. Why does that feature not work on IPhone 12?.Version: 3.3

👎🏻only to Write a reviewI have went through numerous heart rate monitor apps The ones that I checked out was all under free heart rate monitor apps....Yet they are not free or they have a whole bunch of ads that pop up in the middle of a reading! This one for instance is not freeBecause you have to have the pro version to get all of everything you need to know about your heart reading which is very important it should state that before you download it it’s under free apps when youType in free heart monitor app!But yes this is not one you want to use if you are really needing to know what’s going on with your heart especially right away because of the ads that pop up during the reading ... Do not recommend.Version: 2.8

Too many adsYou launch the app and you get a video ad, which may start……eventually. You do the test and at the end….you get an ad which won’t go away so you can’t see the historical results. Would be a good app if it weren’t for the heart stopping ads!!! Mine is now deleted before I get a stroke.Version: v2.10

Wildly inaccurateDon’t bother if you need real data.Version: 2.0

TachycardiaI have Tachycardia and I need to check my pulse constantly. The Runtastic app I used won’t let me log on or make a new login.🤢 I downloaded this one. It’s a little slow yet accurate and there’s a whole bunch of ads that make it really annoying but, at least it’s accurate and it has really big numbers.🥀I would definitely recommend this app for people who need a free pulse app. However, if you can pay to remove the ads for apps, I would! As a personal recommendation, I’d first try to download the other runtastic app because it has a lot less ads❣️ Sincerely, LAF.Version: 2.8

My countertop has a heart problem hahaI knew it was fake ever since it asked to put ur fingerprint on the camera, so i tested it on my counter face down and my counter has a whopping 196 BPM! uh oh.Version: 2.9

There is no oximeterGot the heartbeat - ok, but I mostly wanted the oxygen saturation. Says it has it. No where in the interface does it describe anything in regard to it..Version: 2.9

AccurateBut it’s unusable due to so many ads..Version: v2.13

3 reading for free than needs to pay for ProAlso has many advertisements. Sorry didn’t like it.Version: 2.7

Too many adsThe app looks great and I understand revenue streams (we have our own apps both in-app purchases and pay to download) but this has way too many ads in the free version. I won’t be looking at the pro version as the ads turned me off this app sadly..Version: 2.0

This is Not For Medical UseThe Developer has written a Warning in their description right at the end of the main text This is Not for Medical Use. I only noticed that after I downloaded it and was looking for information on the pro version. My Question is what the hell is it for? Anything that requires measuring someone heart rate is for medical use. You are basically saying it’s not fit for purpose. I also noticed a review I had missed when I first downloaded which said she is a nurse the app gave a 100% guesses..Version: 2.2

Essentially unusable due to adsIn all fairness, I'll say that this app does what it's supposed to do quite well. The problem is that it's so crammed with advertising that it makes you want to toss your phone out the window. Before you can measure your heart rate, you have to watch a video. After getting your heart rate, but before you get a chance to save it, you have to watch another video. You end up spending more time watching ads than actually using the app for it's intended purpose. I get the need for advertising. Show me a static banner ad at the bottom of the screen and you'll hear no complaints from me. Hijack my time and I'm done with you..Version: 1.4

Too short a test timeThe accuracy is skewed by its too brief a testing window, which seems to be only about 10 seconds. So, this morning it measured my resting heart rate at 49. But a couple of minutes later I measured my heart rate with my Garmin heart rate monitor, which is a strap worn directly over my sternum when I run. I watched the measurements for the duration of a full minute, over which time my resting heart beat got as low as 41...8 beats less than the app registered just 3 minutes beforehand. If the app allowed for a longer test time, say 30 seconds, perhaps it would give a more accurate reading..Version: 2.8

Inaccurate, ads interfere with use of AppDon't bother with his App, looks good, but ads pop up everytime you click on anything. It pops up as you start reading, the reading doesn't seem stable or finished when the time runs out then, another ad! Useful if you decide to use all 3 daily allowed uses to average a heart rate, because you got 3 drastically different rates in a row, that could only be accurate if you started out sitting on your bed, then did some light jogging to full out running from a serial killer... Then this is the app for you! For me I just want a record of my pound heart episodes to see how often it happens to then see a pattern that warrants a doctor visit. This app is NOT even close to helping me at all. Hard Pass!.Version: 2.0

TerribleCouldn’t even see my very first reading because the advertisement popped up right off the bat. Then once the add gave me an option to close it, I still couldn’t get out, forcing me to close the app altogether. I still have no idea what my heart rate is after 10 mins of trying the app! All I know is that this app will automatically increase your blood pressure without giving you a clue what your actual heart rate is..Version: 2.6

Works, but it doesn’tI have Dysautonomia and I am constantly needing to keep track of my heart rate. I didn’t believe it at first just because it seems too realistic that a phone can measure your heart rate. Once I downloaded this app I measured my heart rate with my pulse ox and measured it with this app… they recorded the same number except for like 3 beats off. I started to have a little hope, but then I measured my pillow and it said my pillow had a heart rate of 82…. Seriously…..I think I’ll continue to rely on my pulse ox and service dog thanks..Version: v2.13

Downhill it’s goneThis app use to be spot on, first attempt. Now it spends more time telling me to gently place finger, despite giving consistent reading for 1/2 of the time it detects. What’s up? I’m sure my heart rate is spiked from attempting to get a recorded reading, over & over & over. Please fix the app or I’m deleting and seeking a app that actually gives reading and records instead of going thru the motions 5 times and it not registering the heart rate b/c it appears it enjoys telling me how to do it, over and over after each freaking reading..Version: v2.10

Not accurateMeasures way too high.Version: v2.13

Too many adsCash grab app way too many ads.Version: 2.0

Adds destroy this positively good app.The annoying adds during the process are interfering with a persons Heartbeat. This makes this app useless..Version: 2.0

Not much to reviewOnly get 3 tries a day, doesn’t have much of anything else.Version: v2.12

Inaccurate dataIt was 10bpm off when compared to a device that has heart rate sensors. Also ads every time I tap somewhere..Version: 2.9

Way too many adsHonestly I tested my heart rate twice and got pretty tired of the ads. There’s an ad right before you measure your pulse and another ad before it gives you the result. Some ads are video and you have to watch some of it before you can close the ad. It’s also annoying that the ‘X’ to close the ads changes sides to make you watch longer. The first 3 ads had the x on the left and the fourth switched it to the right, throwing me off bc I was ready to close it with my left thumb since I was using my phone one handed, and I ended up having to use both hands to skip the ad. In all fairness the heart rate reading seems accurate once you get that far..Version: 2.0

PaymentHaving to pay to check it more than 3 times is ridiculous.Version: v2.13

Incompatible with iPhone 11App gives me absurd readings (100bpm resting when I know it’s way lower than that) and ads make it nearly impossible to use. I’m definitely following the instructions correctly, so there’s something wrong with it..Version: 2.6

Incorrect readingI tested the app before and after moderate excercise, and my heart rate came out lower after excercise. I tried it twice with both my forefinger and my thumb(as I know heart rate can be felt quite strongly through the thumb too). Not sure if I’m maybe using it incorrectly, but if so that in itself is a problem worth looking at as I’m probably not the only one..Version: 2.6

No idea who you are dealing withPeople using this app are trying to find help and are often super challenged by broken heartbeats and have real concerns while you assault them and pump the crazy I interruption ads…. Wouldn’t give you a cent for your attitude..Version: v2.13

Too many adsAnnoying can’t do anything without ads popping up..Version: 2.6

How to cancel subscriptionIt was impossible in app to cancel your 3 day free trial. i went to the lengths of calling my bank and telling them i lost my card so the transaction would bounce back when it hit because it seemed impossible to cancel. turns out if you delete the app while you are in the free trial mode thats the only way to cancel your subscription before it charges your card. app works well but so ridiculous you can’t cancel the trial in the app..Version: 3.3

Too many pop up addsThanks.Version: 2.6

How does this workDot know how an camera flash tell your bpm.Version: 2.6

Limited Number of Free MeasurementsI used it to compare the accuracy of other heart monitor apps I’m using. This is actually accurate but there’s a limit on how much I can check for free..Version: 2.2

Going to look for a different app for thisThis app is awful ! Every time I put my finger on the flashlight it starts “detecting” and then ALWAYS STOPS! Right before it ends! & gotta restart literally about 10 or more tries to FINALLY get it to read my heart rate so right after I write this review for others to know about this app, I’m going to go look for another app to do this because it’s VERY important I have one for certain health issues and THIS isn’t working at all. So ONE star! Sorry But fix the app and how it reads the finger clearly being put over the camera and light! Smh sick of these FAKE APPS! 🥺😠.Version: 2.8

Inconstant , lecture irrégulièrePas capable de faire 2 lectures similaires consécutives.Version: 2.9

Not very goodIt’s giving me the wrong results! Thanks though..Version: 1.5

HeartRateLite-waste on money and timeYou can’t even cover the camera and the flashlight on the iPhone 11 at the same time if you have small hands and fingers. What a waste of my time and money..Version: v2.13

Ads annoyingGenerally an ok app, I respect the need for ads for revenue, however the current Candy Crush ad does not close when you press the exit button so you have to exit the app entirely and are unable to log the heart rate. Please make sure your ads actually close otherwise this app is pointless..Version: 2.8

Catch there’s always a catchDon’t download.Version: 2.9

InaccurateScan 1 heart rate at 54, scan 2, 1 minute later at 154bps. I should be dead with this much fluctuation.Version: 2.7

Heart RateI don’t think this app is right because my stress levels is low and told me it was very high, but I don’t know. I think this app should have a makeover and have some improvements because I don’t see if this app is telling the truth, if this app is telling the truth then I’ll use this app more often and I won’t delete this app. You should learn to my feedback and recommend some improvements.Version: 2.16

LangueCa serait intéressant que l’application doit aussi en français.Version: 2.9

This app sucksTo many ads and only 3 uses per day. Trash app.Version: v2.13

UselessWould not work. Says no camera but camera is working fine. Start screen was covered in intrusive ads. Fail. Deleted..Version: 2.0

Heart rate monitorYes it works and it stores information then while you are trying to hold it up pops a stream of items across base of screen that I don’t want and open just as you move your hand. I’ve deleted it I’ve tried this again and stopped camera access by mistake BUT no options to recover my mistake so Delete it again.Version: 2.8

Not accurateI have another heart rate app that tells my heart rate a lot more accurately. I have a natural low resting heart rate. The other app told me 43 bpm. This app tells me it’s 61 bpm. Now I felt my heart rate with my own fingers. No way is it 61 bpm. Idk why people are saying this app is accurate when they have nothing to compare it to.Version: 2.9

Ads and varying resultsAds and yeah.Version: v2.13

InconsistentThe test doesn’t last long enough to give an accurate reading. There are other apps that are much better and cost nothing, premium version of this gives you no extra features, at least nothing worth paying for.Version: 2.8

Don’t botherApp is full of ads. If you need to quickly check your heart rate you can’t you need to wait for the ads to finish by then it could be to late. Hopeless.Version: v2.13

Don’t botherInaccurate. Just take your own pulse..Version: 2.0

DONT BOTHER!I recently had a couple of scares with my heart and thought getting this app would help me monitor it. WRONG! The adds pop up before you start (frustrating) then when your reading is complete before you can see it guess what? ADDS. Then it won’t close when you press “CLOSE “. So frustrating and annoying which isn’t good for someone with a heart problem. Especially if you’re worried. Deleting it straight away. SERIOUSLY DO NOT BOTHER!!.Version: 2.7

Riddled with ads. Not worth downloadingToo many ads. Only 3 tests per day. Rubbish..Version: 1.4
