Linearity Curve Graphic Design for Positive User Reviews

A little confusingGood app, but it is a little confusing to use..Version: 4.12.0

Fantastic alternative to Adobe illustratorI’ve been using this program for a week so far and I find it to be very intuitive, similar in many ways to Procreate, making it a good choice for users of that program. Vectornator has all the tools that Adobe Ai has from what I can tell and they’ve been implemented to great effect for a touch/pen device. Working with the Apple Pen and this app has made my workflow much faster compared to using a desktop with my ageing Wacom 4 tablet and it runs flawlessly on my iPad 2020 model, as is to be expected. For people who like to work on the go, I’d highly recommend trying this app out for a few days, especially if you’ve any experience using Procreate! 9/10, a point docked for the ambiguity surrounding the future pricing model for this app, hopefully a licence can be bought outright in the future, and it doesn’t become subscription-based..Version: 4.1.7

Best vector app everI'm using it on my iPad Pro to build up territory maps for my congregation and it's a dream come true! I’m really love it and can’t recommend it enough. Question regarding iPad OS 17 beta version: I’m an enthusiast and jumped on iPad OS 17 dev version and been very disappointed seeing the app after becoming Curve, just crushed when attempting to open any kind of document. I’m perfectly aware of the danger of using beta software and I was a little bit concerned about it would crush, not behaving as normal but not running at all… that I didn’t expected! Anyway, the long story short is that I love too much the app so I did restored my iPad to the non beta iPadOS 16.6 to be able to use one single app, the Curve (I’m a bit disappointed about the rebranding… I liked very much the previous name and icon which I can’t say the same about the new ones. Maybe is just the change… we’ll see). Keep up the good stuff and if you could let me know when the app will support (at least not to crush) the new iPadOS 17 beta (public one) that would be much appreciated. * two days later the dev repay to me it update the app to support iPadOS Beta. This is incredible! Very well done Curve team. Thank you! Five ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for that also..Version: 5.0.1

The perfect vector companion to ProcreateAs a professional, I use the Adobe Creative Suite for my job, but I'm always looking for alternatives. For digital art on iPad, I use Procreate - that's a no brainier. But until stumbling across Vectornator, I thought only Affinity Designer was a serious contender to Illustrator on iPad, but Designer isn't pleasant to use on iPad. But Vectornator feels as polished as Illustrator, with the ease of use of Procreate. Sure, it's not as fully featured as Adobe Illustrator, but neither is the iPad version of Illustrator, and that isn't free! And if you are a Procreate user and need a vector companion tool, I absolutely recommend this. In fact, I would gladly pay for this tool..Version: 4.2.5

Love it for concept artTook me a bit to figure it out, but i absolutely love it sometimes it close’s on me but my work is always saved. definitely recommend to my art friends:).Version: 4.1.5

Overall...awesomeVery crisp, clean and user friendly. Very easy to learn the ropes...and although it’s missing a few tools that would be handy, it’s actually quite a powerful program..Version: 2.2.3

I love these guysI’ve used Vectornator for years and I really dislike the new name and changes… you already had a gem, why rebrand!… you were the terminators of vector files cammon!!!.Version: 5.0.2

Surprised this is a free appIt’s really nice to see that there are still some decent apps out there that haven’t been locked away a paywall or subscription. Besides the fact that this app is free it’s got incredible capabilities, a modern and intuitive design and is great for learning I find. Would recommend it..Version: 4.0.3

THIS IS GREATThe only thing I found is the ‘Lock’ object doesn’t seem to work,,, Everything else works beautifully!!!!!!!.Version: 4.7.1

A few bugs using the latest iPadOS betaThis is a great app. Lately I'm seeing quite a few crashes though. Also, I'm now unable to use the direct selection tool to move a control handle independently. If I try to adjust the handle with the Apple pencil while holding one finger down, it now rotates the entire canvas. The other options of the direct selection tool in the toolbar (Multiple selection, rotate and resize) work fine. Double tapping a control point toggles between smooth curve and sharp corner as it should. There's just no way to move one control handle without the opposite one moving as well. Trying to resize pro move a text box sometimes makes the box collapse into a thin vertical column. Also, using in iPad mini 5 landscape mode, the keyboard obscures some of the fields where I'm trying to write text or rename a file so I can't see what I'm typing. Did the beta break something?.Version: 3.3.8

Really enjoying learning VectornatorHaving taught myself Adobe illustrator, I find it more relaxing to get on my IPad and do a little bit of something new each time..Version: 2.5.6

Love this app!I am so impressed with Vectornator! I absolutely love being able to do vectors on the go! In my opinion, it’s the best mobile vector app out there <3.Version: 1.9

Best app for VectorsCan’t believe this is free!! I have been using adobe illustrator on my desktop for years and have always wanted a decent iPad version. I was using Draw, but it stopped being supported. This is the next best thing to the desktop version and is nearly identical to Draw. The app is very functional, well designed and the help desk responds immediately—in fact, Vladimir, who I believe designed the app, responds himself and answered a few questions. I figured nearly everything myself as the app is intuitive and the manual online also really helps. It keeps improving and I really hope he keeps it going as it’s a great tool. Thanks Vlad!.Version: 1.8.2

Easy to use, everything I need!I’m definitely not a graphic designer or computer savvy but this app has been amazing for me to make webpage mock up designs to send to my web developer, has been an absolute saving in the designing of the website. This app has everything that I need to create what I want, so happy it’s for free as well I was expecting it to cost loads!.Version: 3.3.13

Ridiculously PowerfulIt’s amazing seeing such a powerful vector graphic design tool available for mobile. Vectornator being available for free is a must have for every iPad. The app was tested on an 11” M1 iPad Pro where it ran without hiccups..Version: 4.2.1

Great appOverall great app but I’m having issues with saving as a svg, every time I press svg the program crashes..Version: 4.6.0

Almost PerfectI absolutely love this app. It has been revolutionary in my life. The logical layout, the attention to details, and the frequent and meaningful updates are just some of the things that make this my go to app over all others. I would definitely give it five stars except for one little snag. After editing a file, part of my workflow is that I often need to jump out of that file and into a related one. I used to be able to do this quickly on older versions, but now, before it will let me open another file, it seems to have to go through an extended period of saving the changes to the one I just exited. This is only true for files that are saved to iCloud, but for me, that’s all of them. It appears as though it saves itself several times over before it finally allows me to open another file. On more than a few occasions, when I’ve had something important to complete, or I was in a major creative vibe, the lag caused from this has made me just close the app in frustration. I probably need to do a better job of regulating my emotions 😂, so I’ll work on that if you guys will help me out with the “endless saves before I can open another file problem”. Ok? Thank you for this amazing app. I’m not kidding when I say it has changed my life by making my creative process completely mobile like no competing app was ever able to..Version: 4.13.5

Classy and capableThis is one classy drawing program for iPad. Very simple if you just wish to knock up some basis drawings, yet very extensive and capable if you have some serious design work. This is the program that made me purchase Apple pencil. Hats off to the creative team behind this and you can al be very proud..Version: 1.6.2

My Favourite app!I am a student and this app is The BEST! It has all the fetures you would want and need: The pallet (for storing colors), The pencil tool (My favourite out of all of them) And much more! Overall the best drawing app I have ever used (Its even better than Procreate!(My opinion)) And to tie it all off it’s FREE! Thankyou devs for bringing this to our world!.Version: 4.3.0

Really good but….I use this app to render clothing designs and I recently just got the latest update for my iPad and everything was working fine but now the app keeps crashing and I don’t know why. I’ve tried deleting the app and redos loading it but it didn’t work. Pls help I love this app and I need it for work purposes.Version: 4.5.0

I use it to create all my YouTube thumbnailsIt just works, whether I am on my iPad or my MacBook. Easy-to-use and customizable tools, accessible interface (more on Mac than on iPad, granted) and consistent results. Oh, and it is free! :).Version: 4.13.2

Great vector based drawing app for the iPadTakes a second to get familiar with, but it’s an easy, fun app to make vector based logos and graphics..Version: 5.1.0

Astounded. This app is just what I’ve been looking for. I do a lot of work in Adobe Illustrator and wanted a lightweight version of it on my phone (you know, to make icons and bits on the fly for social accounts etc). Seeing that it was free and has good ratings, I downloaded it and was blown away by how great it is. If you’re a designer that knows their tools, you’ll appreciate the purity and depth of this app with tools like the pathfinder to unify/divide paths, the pen tool (arguably the most powerful tool ever), and a great selection of export options. I could go on. Just download it and see for yourself. Well done to the whole team. Really. Well done..Version: 2.0

WowJust wow. Amazing. No ads. Free. How can this be?.Version: 2.4.5

Incredible! This app is incredible. The features are super in depth, and there are no purchases required to use this master piece!.Version: 4.7.0

Great Drawing App!Actually came to rant about it turning my music off when in use, but saw the update and it’s fixed. HUZZAH! So now I can thank the Developer for making this App. We all have our UI Preferences, and I found Curve’s to be the easiest and most intuitive to pick up. And the result? After using this to do some basic graphics for a Software Project I was coding, now devoted to spending an hour or two a day getting back into art. I worked in the past as an Animator & Illustrator many years ago before getting sucked into programming in the early days of Flash, which the tools remind me of. Any chance of frame animation features?.Version: 5.2.1

Getting even better... Very impressive...especially for a free app. You get (most of) the results you aim for - for me it is still a bit frustrating getting there, but that maybe because I have worked with Adobe Illustrator for so many years (and more recently the Affinity Suite)….but this app continues to improve and when compared to the price of other vector apps and the ‘power’ of Vectornator, there’s little to ‘complain’ about. (I have updated my initial comment…).Version: 4.10.0

Fantastic, especially for a free app!I really just got this to help me create smooth outlines for stickers, and though it’s a bit tricky to learn the website has really helped me! The only reason I take off one star is because, to my knowledge, you can’t change the size of a canvas after it’s been created. This just makes it hard for me to save files at a good quality, especially if I'm trying to save individual stickers from one canvas, since I have to convert them back to PNGs to save them to my camera roll. If this is or does become possible I would definitely upgrade to 5 stars! Edit: Thanks a ton! I will keep my promise then, and upgrade my review. The fact that the developers are so responsive, as I’ve noticed in other reviews also really helps in that decision :).Version: 4.5.1

Perfect! After searching for a vector app and going through almost every popular art app, I am so glad I found this. I was so frustrated that there was no easy to use, proper vector program to use for quick vector art creation. This app has a fantastic pick up play type of UX! I am actually chuffed because it made my life so much easier! Thank you to the devs for this awesome product!.Version: 3.1.3

Simply amazingFirst to start off I am not a professional but do have an interest in graphic design with a background in architectural design. This app gives me all the tools and functionality to my get ideas down extremely easily. I especially appreciated the amount of learning resources that are available. I managed watching through all the instructional videos over an afternoon, and it really set me up o hit the ground running. Thank you for making this available to us without having us pay the subscription prices that adobe does. But you go even further and made it free. It’s unbelievable that it is actually..Version: 4.12.2

Great app!I found this app by pure chance, as it seems not very popular yet. I love it and I hope that reviews will help to spread the news. It does everything I need and it’s unbelievably free. I am scared to update it and I hope it won’t start showing annoying banners in some future updates ;-) Things I would improve: - when using the Apple Pencil, it’s easy to interfere with my hand palm. It would be nice to better detect these casual contacts on the canvas (although it’s handy to use my fingers for switching tools in the bar) - it’s too easy to accidentally rotate the canvas. Can I lock it? - it would be nice to close the side menus (e.g. style, layers) by swiping right on any part of them, not just their title. - how do I resize a text box without stretching the text in it? - how do I append new points to a path with the pen? I mean extending it with new points. - some useful features are not easy to discover at first, so you will need to improve the documentation (e.g. adding tips, improving the online documentation and so on). The manual is a good start, but not easily accessible from the the app, no search functionality etc..Version: 2.1.2

The most intuitive vector app out there for iPadVectornator needs far more recognition than it’s getting. I have tried all the vector apps on the iPad, and this is by far the most convenient and innovative one. Keep it up!.Version: 4.6.3

The Best Vector App I've Tried - But One Minor Issue...I love this app. I'm a graohic designer who makes posters and social media posts for a restaurant, and Vectornator has been my go-to app when I don't wanna be saddled to a PC. It offers almost everything I need except for... 1. Can't set text line spacing in negative integers, meaning if i want lines closer together, i have to switch to Illustrator on PC or turn text into outlines and move it manually. 2. Exporting as SVG or AI can lose some of the text effects including drop shadows, which can be very frustrating Im very glad the app gets frequent updates, and look forward to what changes come in the future.Version: 4.1.5

Never Going Back to Adobe Again!I was only looking for a new program because the iPad Version of Photoshop is TRASH. It’s a early stage Beta that they charge for, but they don’t bother telling you its a beta. They call it real Photoshop. It cant even do CMYK. I bought the iPad Pro instead of new MacBook Pro based on full Photoshop being available. I have a business and often do my own graphic design. Anyway, after wasting a week trying to work around all the limitations, like no CYMK, I decided to look for another program available in the iPad. I’m so glad I found Vectornator! I used it to replace PS, but really it functions like Illustrator. I learned to use it over the weekend and made 2 detailed roll up banners and some marketing postcards. I can’t believe it’s free … I know it wont be for long and I’ll be more than happy to pay for it. Please make a PDF document product next!.Version: 4.2.5

Magnetic snapI love Vectornator. I use it almost every day. There is one issue I see. You can turn on snapping to make it easier to align towards stuff. This is really handy but it is flawed:(. One direction either up or down works great. It eventually snaps like you would expect then you have to worry about the other direction. That snaps just fine as well but then you have lost the other direction:(. You need to be able to snap the corners of things to so you have more functionality with snapping. You can’t snap easily in both directions at the same time. Either the first snap needs to stay snapped so you can line up the other direction or it would be nice to snap the corners which would help in both directions for any object.Version: 4.13.3

YO THIS APP IS UNDERRATEDI’ve been in this app for 10 minutes and I’m already in love with it 🩵.Version: 5.1.2

Some functions are missingVectornator is a very complete app for designing with vectors. However it lacks tutorials and manuals to use the tools. I had a hard time figuring out how to turn smooth nodes into edge nodes or making a perfect circle/square. One of the features that I miss most, comparing this app to Inkscape,is the ability to distribute and align nodes. Also it would be nice to be able to apply gradients on strokes. The exclusion and divide function are also quite confusing, at least for me, since the “holes” inside the form will act as completely different paths sometimes. Overall its a great app. I also love the fact that one can search an icon from icons8 which makes it easier to transform the paths rather than to create a form from scratch..Version: 1.8.1

Easily in my top 5 fav appsRarely do I see such near perfection and solid attention to detail in an application. Linearity did such an excellent job here on interface design and functionality. Also, from my experience, is virtually bug and crash free. I’ve only been using this app for a week now and I am truly confident this tool will remain in my essentials. A pure joy to work with on the 12.9” iPad Pro with Apple Pencil especially. To be completely honest, I have little to no experience in vector illustration but Vectornator is so freakin intuitive it’s not even an issue. I can create whatever my heart desires. It’s really easy to pick up as you go if you’re a novice. That is a huge plus for me but I feel advanced users will love it even more. So many features packed into a professional iOS app it’s mind blowing what you can do. I can see myself making some very complex designs in the coming days..Version: 4.2.2

I’m still getting used to using an iPad as a proper design tool……But curve definitely makes it an intuitive experience. I’ve not done a lot of creative vector design since the days of illustrator cs2, but curve has allowed me to pretty much just pick up and carry on as if there was no intervening time at all. The controls are intelligently laid out, the tools are simple on the surface with sufficient depth to make them properly useful. The whole thing ties together to form a genuinely satisfying workflow. Absolutely pleased with curve!.Version: 5.2.5

Super Feature-Rich!As a long time user of desktop design and illustration apps, I can especially appreciate how much functionality the developers have put into this app. The tools all do what you expect, with all the control you need, but the user experience is completely intuitive. If you’ve used apps like Illustrator or Inkscape, you’ll be productive immediately. If you are a novice, you’ll pick up the nuances very quickly thanks to the application’s straightforward design. This is now one of my go-to tools when I have serious work to do! Thank you for sharing this wonderful app and for all the hard work you’ve put into it!.Version: 4.13.6

Super powerful and free!I’m not an advanced user who started on Inkscape. I use Vectornator on an iPad Pro with pencil and whilst there is a steep learning curve, what program with real power doesn’t? I can’t believe it is all the result of the passion of a driven teenager. Wow. Keep up the awesome work..Version: 2.4

Love itI really love this app, the UI looks nice and clean, the tools are simple and straight forward (assuming you have background knowledge from similar applications). The best part is the availability of texts and many different fonts which I don’t find available in many other IOS apps. The only complaint is that there isn’t a smooth transition if I want to move over to other apps like Procreate, which I use a lot with this app..Version: 1.5.4

What I’ve been looking for!I’ve had my iPad Pro for 3 years and finally discovered an alternative to adobe illustrator that works well enough with my Apple Pencil to actually get work done. Intuitive for anyone who has used illustrator, this app is cleanly designed and easy to use. I’m very impressed with its performance and simplicity, so much that I think I can get detailed work done! One thing I’d request in future versions is art boards. Within the pen tool (thank you for prioritizing bezier pen functionality!), adobe illustrator allows the user to hold the space bar to translate the current entity while drawing the next point in the path. Is this function already here somehow? Anyway, this is a very impressive tool I will be using extensively. Thank you to the developer for your work on this!.Version: 1.5.4

Does Vector graphics easy on an iPadHaving used vector apps on the desktop for many years; Freehand, Illustrator, and Inkscape I was curious to how it would work on an iPad, but I’m pretty impressed by this app. That being said there are a few features missing, but enough of the basics to get you by..Version: 2.3.3

Awesome and free?!Great vector app, can’t believe it’s free. Easy to learn, just takes a bit of time and patience. Easy to transfer my files to my computer and continue editing there too. As a designer and illustrator, I value my time spent creating art while on the go, Vectornator allows me to do that perfectly..Version: 4.10.6

Love the appLove using this app. Make designing images so easy Would also love it if I could get on my Windows system laptop so I could jump between the two whenever I needed to. But I do use my iPad most of the time. Would all like to be able to curve text, either make it round. Or a wave etc.Version: 4.13.2

AwesomeAbsolutely awesome vector drawing app! I tried so many of them and this one is my favorite. On a circle drawing, i need to see the Center of it so that I can align other circles to it (geometry drawing). Is there a way to display the Center of circles at all time?.Version: 1.2.2

Size lock seems uselessI love Inkscape, and I really want to love this app. Just going through the tutorial, the first thing I noticed is that the size lock doesn’t seem to work. I would think when the lock is in lock position, any change to the size of a shape or other object would be proportional. That lock doesn’t seem to do anything. Also, I t would also be great if there was some thing like a New File or New Document right on the front of the screen, rather than that X to save. I don’t want to save all this stuff on my tablet! I want to be able to easily click on a new file or new document or new some thing and maybe be prompted to see if I wanted to save what was there, but then I have the screen clear ready for a new session. Still getting used to it, but it’s kind of like slogging through mud at this point..Version: 4.5.3

Great App!I have been using Vectornator for about a year, after I graduated university and had to cancel my illustrator subscription. It’s such a great app with so many features that I’m still discovering! Thank you for creating such a great app and offering it for free ❤️.Version: 4.13.4

Pretty good on an iPad ProAs my title says. Basically, it does pretty much everything I want it to. Sometimes I find it a bit unintuitive, but with more practice, I’m sure it would shine even more. The reason for the four stars is that I find working with text difficult and a bit buggy. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this as your go-to vector graphics app on the iPad Pro..Version: 3.5.16

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICEThis is such a high-quality app with so many features, I can’t believe it’s free! As a broke grad student this is my go-to app for all art assignments. But the best part is the support staff and customer service! I had a project that made the app crash every time I tried to open it, and I was panicking because the assignment was due in just a few days. I submitted a crash report without expecting anything to come of it, but the NEXT DAY I got an email saying they were working on an update for the app AND they said if I wanted to send them the file, they would manually fix it for me! And then the next day after that, they released an update to the app that fixed crashing. Vector art is time consuming and labor intensive, so it is a relief to know how supportive the customer service team is in case any issues arrive. You guys are the best!!!.Version: 4.6.4

Fantastic and FREE illustrator alternativeCan’t believe this app is free. Puts other vector apps to shame. Fantastic work! And great updates. I never write reviews but had to in this case! I’m sure affinity designer is great, but it has no ai export. This app does! And import! And a bunch of other great export features!.Version: 2.4.3

My Opinion (Child’s View)I’m sure Vectornator is a very good app, but for me, it’s just too confusing. I can’t seem to understand how to draw and all that. If your a child I don’t recommend getting something like this. It’s too grown up. Of course kids are allowed to play this. But I think it’s more for teenagers and older because I find it too confusing. But if I was a adult and into art, I’m sure this would be a wonderful game..Version: 4.5.1

Absolutely StellarOne of the best drawing apps by far, let alone vector art app. I’m actually using it for paper craft modelling as you can measure accurately and snap to grid etc. So if you’re looking for a versatile CAD app this might be your solution. The UI is clean and intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. I really can’t think of a single flaw or annoyance that I’ve had so far using this app Bravo!.Version: 4.12.1

Incredibly capable for amateur to professional artI have used Vectornator for my professional illustration work for well over a year now. It has all the familiar tools I require but on the iPad and Apple Pencil enabled, and unbelievably; free. As an app it is very frequently updated by developers that genuinely appear to listen to feedback and act fact to improve upon what they have. I hope to see Vectornator grow even further in the future but I’m very happy with my workflow now..Version: 4.1.5

A1 perfectBeen using the Program for a while now. Mainly on iPad with a pen. Or desktop. Today travelling back on the bus, I read Vectornators subscribers email. Which explained auto tracing. As I watched a video on auto tracing and read more. Thought wonder if it work on my phone. Yes it does. Vectornator so user friendly across platforms. Just need to iron out the bumps on the bus journey:).Version: 4.10.3

The Only Tool i useAMAZING! Always have it open i love this app so much Definitley the best Vector Tool i've ever used! I rate it #1.Version: 4.4.0

Seriously UnderestimatedI got this app as a replacement for Illustrator when my subscription expired. I now use this app exclusively and have never looked back. It has plenty of pro-level features and I can’t believe it’s free!.Version: 4.1.0

Great app, and it’s still being updated! It’s easy to draw in and I like that it resembles a traditional desktop app. The best thing about it is you can send files directly to Illustrator. Also it supports cmyk which is really helpful if you make prints. A few suggestions, though: It would be nice if pressure sensitive brush strokes made with the Apple Pencil were editable like other strokes, as I use them a lot in my artwork, and it would also be good if you could choose the resolution of exported jpegs and pngs. It looks like they only export at screen resolution. Anyway, it’s a relief to find a vector illustration app for iPad that is still being updated by the developers. I had been considering looking for a different drawing tablet before..Version: 1.3

Excellent for fun and workI use this for fun to create simple geometric designs, but I also use it to mock-up ideas away from my computer. I started using it on my iPhone 6 with my fingers which was fun, but for anything detailed you definitely need a stylus. I also use it on my iPad..Version: 2.2.3

Brilliant App!This is a fantastic App, it being free only makes it better! I am use to generating graphics and marketing material using Illustrator but I am just in the process of setting up one my own and have gone down the route of getting an IPad Pro. This little app is completely comparable and I am so happy with it. I can generate clean vector graphics, use layers, copy and paste, play around with arrangement on art boards, input colour codes and export to really functional file types. I would like to see a little more dimensional control for grid setup. One little thing to be fixed is the dimensional input for canvas sizing does not respond to the Apple Smart Folio..Version: 3.1.11

Absolutely brilliant SVG makerReally amazing tool and add free. Contrast of certain tools could be improved - it doesn't meet web AIM standards, for example the move tool when not in use - look to the bottom right for a grey circle to find it. Constantly improving and easier to use now. There's nothing similar out there! Thank you!.Version: 5.1.0

PencilThe option to turn off double tap action for pencil would be nice.Version: 4.10.6

Great app! This app is great if you are looking for a free alternative to a ‘certain product’ by a ‘certain company’. If there is one thing I had to complain about, it is that the undo button and the back button are very close together, and accidentally hitting said back button and being sent back to the project menu is quite frustrating when your in the middle of a piece. I hope this review will help you in making your decision for downloading this app!.Version: 1.5.3

Good app but can be betterI personally love this app. The only problem I have been finding myself with is that learning the tools can be quite tricky after multiple updates and there isn’t a tutorial on what each item. I’ve learned to make use of what I can but what really bothers me is that I can’t use any of my videos to draw over or make any moving animations. I don’t know if this is a just me problem of everyone is having this problem. If it is just me can the makers please contact with me and tell me what to use? Thank you. I do love the app and find it very professional and useful in my drawings. ☺️❤️.Version: 4.7.0

Question??Should I use a stylus or my fingers? I don’t have an iPad Pro so I can’t use Apple Pencil so any other options or just use my fingers if u recommend..Version: 1.7.2

THE vector drawing toolNut sure why anyone would pay for adobe illustrator or other programs if we have this! It does everything what a designer needs from a vector drawing software and for free! No trial periods etc. Great devs, keep up the great work!.Version: 4.13.4

Really top notch vector app! When my Adobe was due and I couldn’t afford it, I found out about Vectornator and boy what a breath of fresh air! Really liking the app and it’s user friendly UI!.Version: 4.8.2

Really great design appSo far I have really liked this app! It’s like an AI lite on your phone! I have been looking for an app that has a pen tool and this one does and it works very well. I do a lot of designing on my phone and this app has been invaluable in helping me create! You can export in SVG, PNG. My only criticism is it does seem to be a bit buggy. Some of the menus can disappear and once or twice the app has closed on me. The add text option has never worked, but no biggie I can add that in on another app. I am still learning all of the different things you can do, but I do not see a way to fill in objects. The stroke fill doesn’t really work if you have a complex shape. But all in all this app is awesome and just what I was looking for!.Version: 3.4.5

GreatI’ve tried lots of drawing apps and this for me has most features without needing too much figuring out. Well done. Split view could be added..Version: 1.6.2

Thank you!I just started using this app and am already impressed with all you’ve done here. It’s a bit of a learning curve with the minimal design interface but it’s laid out so similar to Illustrator that I’m already picking it up fast, your learning centre and all your videos and info are super helpful. All in all, I don’t know how such a great app is free, but thank you!.Version: 4.8.2

Perfect perfect perfectAmazing free app....Version: 4.11.5

Blown awayBeen using this for 10 minutes and I’m already absolutely in love. Intuitive, easy to pick up. I am a trained designer and this feels so effortless. The similarities to illustrator are so helpful, but the ease of use surpasses it. Actually RAN back to the App Store again as I couldn’t believe I got this for free. I’ve not been this excited about anything for a long time!.Version: 4.13.7

INCREDIBLE APP. But really wish it would stop crashing 😫This app is perfect. It has an amazing interface, easy features and the perfect tool for beginners to professionals…I just wish it would stop having these episodes of repeated crashing. I don’t know what to do, I use this app for work and rely upon it heavily. I don’t know if it’s me? Help..Version: 4.13.4

Phenomenal app, but not for meIf you’re new to graphic design, this app has an INCREDIBLY steep learning curve and it took me twenty minutes just to intuitively understand and remember all the buttons, settings, and options. It’s very serious — probably for businesses and institutions or computer engineers. You have to read the tutorial. It’s also highly optimized and has no ads. The design of this app is gorgeous. It talks about Gaussian blur and other things that require calculus and statistics or something lol. You can create multiple instances of the same app side by side. They also give you options to use apple’s array of icons. They really worked with the developers on this one. Im not the target audience. I’m just here to check out the animation/graphic design apps for my new iPad Air lol. I want procreate, but that costs money. I believe this is the next best thing. It might even be better; idk 🤷🏿‍♂️ It’s complicated for me, though. I just wanted to create a sketch animation. Back to flip-a-clip it is🌝.Version: 4.1.5

RevisedThanks for the follow up response..Version: 4.6.1

Best of its kind. Great potential! The developer is evolving this app rapidly, but it’s already very capable. Brilliant for using Apple Pencil on iPad Pro. You can create almost anything with remarkable ease. They've really thought about simplicity of workflow. For example, if you draw a rough shape and then go in to perfect it, you can use the Apple Pencil to drag path points around and double click them to create curves, all without touching any buttons; it's incredibly intuitive. Try that on Graphic, which makes you constantly back and forth with different tools and subtools; Vectornator is a different league entirely. The simplicity of this app makes it a real pleasure to use. What's fascinating about this app is it's potential; once the developers improve the text editing to match the simplicity of its vectors, and add additional pages to the canvas, this app could become the mass market solution for PDF authors and all creators text/graphic documents, who are currently limited to the poor iPad version of Apple Pages, because nearly every other app on the market is vector-only, freehand-only or text-only. Finally, the developer support is as remarkable as the app: when I submit a bug report or suggestion, I often get a personal email back saying it's been added and please download the update! I highly recommend this app and look forward to seeing how it evolves..Version: 2.5.2

Best vector drawing app ever!I’ve been searching for a vector drawing app like this forever. User friendly UI, non-existing lag, very good compatibility to carry on working on desktop. Thanks a lot developer team!.Version: 1.5.4

Cool, but now that I've been using Graphic, it doesn't preform as well. This app is great. Don't get me wrong. However, the UI is a little, well, everywhere, kinda obtrusive, and I'd say more designed as a drawing app - which, this is a vector application. It has a grid feature, but it doesn't have an option where you can snap objects to the grid. I'm keeping this app because of it's sticker feature in iMessages, but other than that if your looking for graphic design, I'd go with Graphic. I also couldn't find a way to adjust the pen tip for the paint pen, it's always fully round, another feature that I hope is added. If you're diving in to vector drawing or graphic design, this is a great app to start with. But me, I'm going to stick with graphic. I'll update this review though if I find features or other stuff. I am really glad there is a developer out there that has made a vector graphics app for free..Version: 2.4.4

I cannot put into words how much I love VectornatorLike the title says this is an incredible app. On par with adobe but at no purchases, no ads, no tracking, no cost to the user in any way. I am stunned every single time I open this app, it’s beautiful, functions flawlessly, and it’s insanely powerful. Please do not waste your money on adobe illustrate get Vectornator NOW. You will not regret it..Version: 4.1.2

AwesomeLife saver vector app for student.Version: 4.11.0

Closest thing I have experienced to illustrator on my iPadThis app is amazing. It’s quality and the developers are constantly improving the app. You can upload and download from the adobe cloud with in this app. It’s a vector based image it software and supports importing images. Just check it out if you in need of something similar to illustrator on you iPad. It’s obviously a bit more basic but it’s really good. I have created some amazing images on here. Currently running it from my iPad 6th gen with Apple Pencil. It can get a bit heavy with loads of layers and images Import your own fonts, creates shapes, shadows, gradients and lines. Work with layers and masking. The UI takes some getting used. I think they could improve it slightly but there are lots of settings. I can’t believe it’s free because it’s really professional. Thank you to the developers for creating such awesome software..Version: 2.3.3

More than meets the eyeThe 😏new logo might suggest a kids colouring book but there is much more than meets the eye. It’s actually pretty impressive what it can do . I really wish there was an option too switch to a phone UI as it could be a great tool that way. To do some prep work on computer or iPad and do sone things on the fly. But the full screen gets cover by the menu part of the time. And it would be really ja foto see that you selected a photo and that it’s added to the file . Really hope the iOS gets its own UI adjustments.Version: 5.0.2

I’m loving this so farI’ve only had this a couple of days so I’m still finding my way around it but so far I think it’s great! I can’t believe it’s free. Can I ask you, no BEG you, if you do decide to charge can you make it a one off payment with major update charges. If you go down the route of subscription I will have to stop using it. I don’t do subscriptions. All that aside I am looking forward to getting stuck into all the features with this update..Version: 4.4.0

Working better and more stable since iOS16More complicated feature rich apps such as ArtStudio Pro and Vectornator suffered from instability and crashing around the time of earlier iOS versions which could not make use of the full ram capabilities of the iPad Pro. I thought it was my iPad Pro being old so i bought a newer one, and then an even newer one. But I think it was an operating system thing because being now on iOS 16, these drawing apps which seem to offer Adobe desktop software abilities (which Adobe hasn’t even been able to offer in their own iOS apps) are becoming more stable. I’ve kept coming back always having faith in knowing stability would improve and it did! As iOS opens up to allow apps to take advantage of full ram capabilities of the iPad Pro maxed out hardware. Keep up the good work devs..Version: 4.13.1

Everything it has is easy to useI absolutely love this app, and i hope you keep updating it. It could use some more preset brushes or stamps, and some more features too, such as built in tilt recognition. Otherwise, very good for beginners. I actually switched to procreate, but i dont have an Apple Pencil nor can i afford one, and yet the app has a lot of things that require it, meanwhile Vectornator is more friendly for the things i work with, but the reason why i switched to pro-create is because i wanted to get more out of graphic design. Then i got a notification that said “we really miss you! Why did you stop using Vectornator?”😭😩🥹 So that is kinda why im not using it anymore but it just got an update so I’ll try using it more! (not because the notification that was wholesome).Version: 4.10.1

ExcellentI've been using Inkscape for a couple of years and while I have only been playing around on vectonator for a couple of days I am enjoying how easy it is to use..Version: 4.13.3

Frustrating but usableI don’t know many vector programs for the iPad so I use this, it is effective and gets points for being free and un-intrusive . It works well enough depending on the project but can also be extremely frustrating. Particularly for fine control or precise placement. The smart guides can really feel unintelligent and the sequence to design what you want will need many extra steps. I can understand that any tablet system will be difficult since it’s pretty limited input. But I’d like the controls and ui to be explored more. It feels like the current design was done around filling requirements and less a workflow..Version: 4.13.4

Incredible!WOW! I am genuinely blown away by this app! This has everything that I used to pay for in adobe illustrator! Completely free! No ads, no in app purchases! I am so impressed with the functionality of this app! I use this on my iPad Air 3, with an Apple Pencil and keyboard, and I felt like I was on my MacBook Pro! Phenomenal performance! I only have two suggestions to make this perfect! A notification or some form of indication for when a graphic has been saved onto my device. And if you could see / choose where a graphic is saved. (Locally or on the cloud) I would assume locally as no details were taken As a student graphic designer, I just hope they never turn this into a paid or subscription based service! As I cannot recommend this enough!.Version: 3.3.9

Really awesome!I'm an amateur graphic designer, who's currently a student. i make my own printables and things for japanese and study calendars, as i'm a very visual person. i had been using procreate, but found that the lack of vectors made my designs crappy. i began searching for an iPad vector program, and this app was the first one that i found. i downloaded it, but didn't expect much from it - i was so wrong! vectornator is my new favorite art program, it's so simple to learn, yet it can create complex things. i've already created two things in the few days that i've had it: a november study calendar and a table on japanese hours. they look great (at least, to me - haha)! thank you!.Version: 1.9

Ultimate Design ToolVectornator is so amazing for making vector art. The team is amazing as well, constantly updating new features and teaching how to utilize the app. How is an app tho is good free? Big ups to the designers!.Version: 4.6.0

Supportive and comprehensiveI think this App is brilliant. I used Corel Draw on my older office PCs, years ago, then when I retired switched to the Adobe Creative Suite, which now won’t work because Adobe are charging huge amounts for pay-per-month upgrades. Then I came across Vectornator, and it’s not only brilliant, but free... for now. I would imagine its establishing its base, and rightly so, and if the eventual charges are reasonable, I’ll stay with it. Integration with the Apple Pencil is really good. A wonderful App!.Version: 3.5.5

Professional level app for freeVectornator is regularly updated and improved, and the support structure around it is first class. Professional, concise videos demonstrating features, a community where you can talk to other users and have Linearity join in, queries and comments always quickly responded to, very impressive. Its architecture is touch-screen focussed and as new features are added it is streamlined so it never gets cluttered or menu heavy. If you try it and like it, I'd recommend getting a good stylus, I have a rubber tipped one which makes selecting anchors more precise than my fingers, and an Apple pencil which also works great but does interfere a bit when you just want to name a file for example. But that seems related to the Pencil and how it works. I'll just mention a special case, Gran Turismo imports .svg files, and Vectornator is the best application available if you want to create gradients for that game..Version: 4.12.2

RequestWhat if you added animation? Make this awesome tool even more awesome. (P.S. add some sound, and we got a full flow party! #most used app on my iPad).Version: 4.13.3

Awesome App with Pro FeaturesVectornator is simply the best app for vector editing and its features are pro like the best desktop application. Looking forward to blending and sketch features in this app to create pro animations..Version: 4.4.2

GrateWhat I was looking for I like it very much.Version: 4.13.2

The Best YetWow this is impressive, and can’t wait to play around with it a bit more. I have a software background, and find this more intuitive than most desktop programs. My only suggestion or comment would be that after several hours of use, I am still unsure what a couple buttons do, but I’m not a designer, and there are tutorials in the settings menu that I haven’t gotten around to. This is an issue I have with most desktop programs, and I’m on an iPhone, so it’s not like I can hover, and there’s isn’t enough room to label everything. Maybe it would benefit to have an interactive overlay pointing out, and explaining a handful of buttons that confuse the most users; one that can be turned off. Or maybe a brief pop up of some sort that shows the name of the tool when selected, then fading away. I’d still give the intuitiveness a 9.5/10, where other comparable apps wouldn’t get 5/10. But that’s me being very picky, especially seeing as how this is easier than many desktop programs, and with the amount of features available, they’ve have an excellent job with the UI. Thanks for this, by far my favorite design app; can’t wait to see what’s next..Version: 2.0.2

Very supportive for creative mindThis app contains packs of creative drawing facilities very similar to Adobe Illustrator. So, many vector drawings can be created on iPad and combined with other drawing apps as well as on computer. Preset document types are very useful and easy to choose a decision for a new project that also is fully customisable..Version: 2.5.6

Adobe watching their backs since these guys showed up…Every time I open Vectornator I am impressed by how they have progressed with this program. A little jittery when I first started using it,quite a few bugs but hey, that’s not uncommon,I was frequently getting booted out and I had a lot of recurring issues….but NOW…you guys …I’m impressed,I’ve been using Adobe illustrator for as long as I can remember and I haven’t found a worthy alternative until now! Awesome app, can’t wait to see what they have in store for us in the future…🤩.Version: 4.10.3

Just WOWGreat amazing awesome graphics app. So glad to have found and tried it. Could not believe it was free… having paid for less than that. Upgraded very often, to fill our needs. I'm amazed..Version: 4.13.5

Beyond ImpressedI’ve had a little to do with Adobe Illustrator over the years and with my needs being more paint/graphic art orientated, this app is insane. It’s intuitive, responsive and easy all bundled together in a clean interface. Already I’m finding I have more options for my style that it’s produced such a quick and easy workflow that I can get ideas down immediately then start refining- I’m still a little baffled this app exists. Thanks to the Vectornator team for supporting this app the way you have, it’s truly been a game changer. Sincerely, Formerly Struggling Artist.Version: 2.5.6

Missing my magnifier!First, I want to say that I absolutely LOVE this app. It’s been a great way for me to start getting into vector art and graphic design. The new update is so good—I love all the new tools and the clean organization. Five-star rating well earned. But! I really miss the little magnifier that would pop up when you were doing something like dragging a vector point on a curve or the corner of a shape. Please bring it back?? It was so helpful for getting things lined up, especially when using the Pen tool to trace a shape from an image. EDIT: Thanks to Linearity for the response! I've already seen you guys respond to several feedback requests, so I have full trust that you'll act on this one as well. Best support from developers I've seen on any app in a long time..Version: 2.1

To good to be true! This is a really good app for free, but don't be fool! It will become a paid app. It's just a matter of time..Version: 4.13.4

It’s just free Illustrator. Simple as that.Been an Adobe user for 10 years, and having bought an iPad really wanted to get something to draw properly on. On this app, you have very similar layer options, blend modes, a very competent pen tool, swatches etc, that you would expect from illustrator. Also, most remarkably, you can export it as an .ai file, which I just upload to my gdrive straight from the app and continue working into it. Excellent and absolutely incredible compared to all of the other illustrator apps.Version: 2.4.5

This has saved me thousands of $$$I have a small, new business (lavender farm and essential oil based products) and we are constantly making new products/tweaking recipes as we grow. Having this app and learning how to create PNG’s for our labels has saved me so much money. Being able to change a design on my iPad, upload directly to Google drive and print on my label printer has been one the main reasons for my success. My designs are always fresh, up to date, and I can change directions on a dime thanks to Vectornator. It’s intuitive, has loads of features and is an all around great app. Oh, did I mention it’s free?! I promise I’m not paid to say this, but even if they charged for the app, I would pay it and be happy to do so! There are a few things that annoy me sometimes...but i can’t remember them right now. 😂 Nothing is perfect, but Vectornator is darn near close to it..Version: 3.4.1

Excellent vector appI’m a vector artist and I love working on my iPad Pro. I came across Vectornator this year and was amazed at how great an app it is compared to other vector apps. It’s extremely easy to use and keeps all the most used features at the top layer of the software. I love the quick edit feature when you select an object, this will really save time. Auto trace is included which no one else has yet. Another very useful feature is the option to save work to creative cloud and illustrator which I use regularly for clients work. It has loads of great features and is worth checking out. I’m amazed that it’s a free app - well done to the developers!.Version: 4.0.3

A few glitches, but overall a great app!I use this app for complex graphical design work, and I am consistently impressed by its power and versatility! The number of layers supported, detail and accuracy, and complex function support is truly impressive. There are a few glitches, most concerning of which is when the app will stop saving your work, leading to deletion of several steps if the drawing is exited. I’ve found a way around this, by duplicating the artwork before exiting, to stop the work from being deleted. However, it would be great if this glitch was fixed. I gave this app 5 stars because of its incredible potential and usefulness, especially for a free app. I absolutely recommend this app, I just recommend careful duplication to protect your work from deletion!.Version: 1.6

Thanks.I’m happy with Vectornator’s multiple options to draw. Though I am not really good at drawing on my iPad, the results are satisfying enough..Version: 4.12.0

Excellent app just one problemI absolutely love this app. Only issue is since the most recent update I’ve noticed a bug. If you group too many elements together some of them will suddenly disappear completely. Hitting undo doesn’t help..Version: 4.2.1

Easy, high quality, and actually freeI've previously never been able to use vector graphics to create good quality images, but wanted to get into graphic design without adobe suite products (a personal vendetta) and this is one of the only completely free options that has everything I need, easy to figure out interface (it was a bit trial and error but that might be because I'm stubborn and don't like guides) and the work is high quality (or as high as my own skills allow) and the lack of ads or in-app purchases has me actually in love.Version: 4.13.7

Excellent workI discovered this app by accident after finding that a certain ios version of another popular app I use on my mac would not work on my ipad mini 4. Well it turns out i’m glad about that because this is a very well made and incredibly useful app. since I bought it there have been some major updates which make it even better. This is excellent work and I will be staying with it now. Cheers !.Version: 1.4

Great app but wish some improvementsI’ve had this app for years but just started to use it in last two days. I’m so amazed by this free app and I found it has computer version too. Though I hope it can improve some functions. I noticed some function cannot be done when a group or multiple objects are selected, maybe there's a way to go around but I didn’t find that. A big thing is please add Offset. That’s super useful and common for designers. Also for text, there is an option for frame to fit bound to text size, can we add on another option so we can choose to increase the text size by dragging the bound? These are my suggestions so far. Hope this app can always be wonderful and get more and more popular..Version: 4.1.6

Layer tab in VectornatorPlease please please give us the ability to be able to hide and unhide layers in the layer tab, by double clicking the eye icon such that only that layer is visible and all the other layers are automatically hidden. Also the eye icon design needs to be changed such that the visible state stands out from the hidden state and vice versa. It’s visually exhausting working with your current design. Also in the tools menu on the left hand side of the screen, the selected and non selected state of the pop out sub menus needs to be more distinct, it’s very difficult to see whatever theme I choose..Version: 3.5.16

Very user friendly!Awesome job with this app, I’ve used a number of other vector apps in the past and this has been by far my favorite. The UI is clean and straight forward, so well that I have started to create works on my phone on the go and then airdrop to my iPad for further adjustments on the iPad version - The additional exports to other software and formats makes this application all the better. Keep up the good work!.Version: 1.9

Great start and room for improvementFirst of all this is probably one of the better vector apps available and its UI design taken a leaf out of ProCreate’s book which can only be a good thing. I would like to see some improvements like the ability to customise the UI so that it’s larger on an iPad Pro 12.9. Currently it’s a little small on such a big screen. I would like to be able to rename groups too and support for Noun Project would be awesome. Keep it up!.Version: 3.3.3

Awesome app until the IOS14 updateThis app was awesome but now after I updated to the new update for iOS 14 I feel like some stuff doesnt work. I can’t change the size of a text box after I make it. The node tool is suppose to change it but I can only select it. The selection tool also doesnt do anything. It just shows the anchor points but I can’t select them or select anything else. I have to change off of it to do anything. I thought the node tool adds anchor points if you wanted but it won’t do a single thing aside from being able to move it. EDIT: So it seems that on one of the things I was working on before and after the update was having the problem. Right after the update I started working on it again and I was having the issues with the selection tool not being able to do anything along with the other stuff but I just tried again and it’s perfect. So I’m not sure what the issue was but it’s good now. Maybe the update just needed time? One thing I m wondering though is if a shortcut or another way to input trademark (and things like it) logos. I tried doing it (I have an iPad) and it just disappears when inputted. I checked the color and everything, it takes up the space for a symbol but isn’t there..Version: 3.4.5

Intuitive and easy to useThis app has all you need to make vectors and graphics - for free! The interface is user friendly, easy to use and intuitive. When I’m on the go with my iPad I find it more convenient than Illustrator and easier to learn. There’s a quick tutorial at the beginning which I recommend to learn the tools and get a hang of where everything is placed. It’s not exact carbon copy of AI, but is a viable replacement and has all the core features I needed. You can even use the app without a pen, but having one makes the experience great. It can easily export as SVG, PNG, PDF, AI, send to Creative Cloud and more - really useful when I need to continue work on a different app. Amazing app, really impressed with this! Highly recommend!.Version: 4.8.2

Really dig the appReally really like the app, but it gets finicky when you work on a file for a bit. I think it’s a memory thing or something. I can exit a file, go back in and it runs smoothly for a few moves then gets finicky again. Mainly right now for me it’s the the bezeir curves and manipulating the points, things start to snap at certain degrees when I don’t want them to, even with all the “snap to” options turned off. The UI is pretty intuitive, not hard to find things. There are a few features missing from the tool kit I’m used to, big one for me is a shear tool or a skew tool. I don’t remember there being a gradient mesh tool or an array tool, but I could be wrong. Features do eventually get added if there’s enough interest for it which is awesome. It has definitely gotten more stable over the year or so I’ve had it. Starting to miss Adobe Illustrator less and less. This app has the potential sit next to or even move pass Illustrator..Version: 4.2.3

Good interface when you get used to it, but a huge learning curveThis app is a good vector interface, and if you have prior experience with vector graphics it is very intuitive. However, sometimes in marketing the way it is advertised might lead people to think that this is a bitmap painting app, and I think this is the reason for some of the bad reviews..Version: 4.13.4

Truly Outstanding! How do I donate?Recently, my last few Apple AP store purchases have been disappointing, some were paid apps with no demos and no refunds! I will never buy another app without a demo option! That said, your app is nothing short of amazing! I have never used an app with such attention to detail and great documentation that helped me get up to speed quickly with so little experience on my new MIniMac M1. The cost was a real plus since I am newly retired and don’t have much in the budget now, but I want to support you as much as possible, so please send me info on how to donate to your project. I am so glad I found this gem of a product!.Version: 4.8.3

No ads + free,Free and no ads! I hope it stays this way.Version: 4.13.6

Best Illustrator App For iPadI’ve been using adobe illustrator for years on my MacBook however with my iPad I find this as being the best app out there for vector illustration. The guys at Vectornator are constantly updating to accommodate those of us that are designing on the go. I’ve been using Vectornator for around a year now and would be lost with out it, I use it nearly everyday and must say, I’d be lost without it. For those devoted to adobe illustrator you have the option to save you work as an .ai file and much more. The reviews speak for themselves. Great product Vectornator team, keep up the good work. P.s. don’t let this app dissolve into the past like so many apps have done. Keep moving forward. 👍.Version: 2.5.2

Absolutely amazing but equally frustrating.Vectornator is the most intuitive, well designed piece of vector software I know. It is precise, easy to use, understand, and does everything I expect it to do. I’ve used it at college for the last 3 months to do my work on and I prefer it to illustrator. But when I say frustrating, I mean frustrating. As a relatively new app I can expect to see bugs, however there have been 2 cases where a bug has crippled my workflow for about a week. In all fairness they were both fixed so it was all good in the end. On the opposite end there are little tiny boots that aren’t a problem but are a little bit frustrating; layers not showing until I close and reopen the file or it bugging out when I select multiple layers for example. I think it’s a shame because they are not polished enough to charge money for the app yet, but it is big enough that they can’t really afford to give it away for free either. In conclusion I think it is amazing, but needs more polish (which i know what they’re trying to do.).Version: 4.6.4

Fantastic and freeI wanted a vector/pen tool editor for use with my pencil and iPad. This app is fantastic!I would pay for such an intuitive and fully featured app. Great usability, I managed to work it out to create my idea within a couple of hours. Recommended!.Version: 4.13.2

Nice butSuch a great app. Really good app for vector art. Only problem i find is having the close project button near the undo button. So sometimes i accidentally close the app when i only want to undo a task. Hopefully these two buttons will be a bit more separated to avoid accidental closing of project. But i will still use this as this is really great app. So much similar to AI..Version: 2.4.5

My favourite appI bought my ipad pro for procreate alone but since finding this app, I found myself using it more and thoroughly enjoying it. It’s an incredible app and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys vector design. If I could suggest a minor tweak, it would be to change how to rename a layer into maybe a double click or a hold on the layer name or a pop up button- as it’s too easy to accidentally rename a layer from my experience. Apart from that, I absolutely love this app..Version: 4.8.2

Say Good-Bye to Illustrator AII have trained and used Illustrator for over the 15 years. Once I learned the interface for Vectornator; which was fairly intuitive, I was up and running creating documents in less than a day. Illustrator’s subscription-based service is annoying. Other than trying to find the raster text to lines commands, the software works well. Minor issues that require more practice are not a deterrent from switching. The PDF version of a file I made printed beautifully compared to the jpeg version. Clean lines, font that was crisp and clear… there is nothing I have found lacking so far..Version: 4.8.4

It’s greatFinding an app that has those capabilities and for free is too good to be true. But it is true😍 Awesome app for real🤩.Version: 4.8.3

Fantastic app for teachingI am using Vectornator to teach basic graphic design to a small high school class. We were very lucky to get access to a small class set of Apple Pencils and iPads. Since I am not a professional designer, I was worried about finding a program that I could learn in order to teach, and that the students would really enjoy creating with while they learned. Vectornator is simply amazing! It has succeeded far beyond what I hoped for. The students can do so much with the app, and get really professional-looking results. They are totally engaged for the entire class period. Their skills are increasing daily. But most of all, I think they’re having fun! This is the most fun teaching I’ve had in a while too. I have used the app for a school logo I was asked to create, and I was extremely pleased with the results. I know I’m going on and on, but truly - it has been a wonderful teaching experience. I highly recommend Vectornator for beginners and education - it’s user-friendly enough for the classroom, but advanced enough to get great-looking results. Thank you Vectornator!!.Version: 2.3.3

I can’t imagine my life without thisI’m a 3 year graphic designer/ illustrator on adobe I and 8 year editor for colloguing edits. not only can u do graphic design but also colloguing I've never been happy to find something this great after Adobe I doesn't work well with mobile i needed something great to work with this went beyond my exceptions. yes if u r a editor for aesthetic breakers this app does have that which was something i was looking for. you guys saved me from longer work it took me some time to understand wat im working with but thats every editing app just takes time. Edit: what I would absolutely enjoy that I truly miss is ombré and a better blend. The blend right now isn’t the best and every tutorial doesn’t have wat I’m looking for..Version: 4.9.0

Wonderful design toolAs a professional designer / illustrator, yes we all agree it’s important that design tools are robust with features- but sadly too many products still lack the user delight aspect. It’s a godsend that some companies are willing to put work into a pleasant environment. We sit in front of these tools all day, so it’s great when these tools are fun to use, delightful to stare at, at the same time giving you a good amount of features to complete your projects. There are probably plenty of other pros that will whine about the lack of feature set compared to other iPad apps, so I’m not going to get into lengthy comparisons. All I’ll say is this: since my first iPad, I’ve used a competitor that is almost as robust as Adobe Illustrator and I’ve been relying on it until now. Sadly, it’s also as depressing to use as Illustator. I think tools that are both useful and a pleasure to use, are vital..Version: 2.5.6

Use it everydayWas recently given a project at work to design some training sheets and booklets for the team. Sick of being sat at my desk all day and then staying back to get more done I was looking for something to use on the go so I wouldn’t be stuck at my desk. I didn’t think I’d find anything so advanced, easy to use - and as awesome as this tbh. I use it all day everyday! Means I can head home and keep designing bits on the train ride so I get home at a reasonable hour! Being able to use it with the Apple Pencil and split screen mode makes it a must. Plus the fact it links to my clouds account makes it even more awesome! Not complaints. Think it took about an hour to work out how to use it properly!.Version: 1.7.2

My GoToI downloaded this app on my iPad some time back. I fiddled with it now and then but did not take it seriously. A few months ago I needed to design a poster for a school event, used Vectornator and was so happy it has become my Illustrator replacement. I don’t use apps that charge subs because I don’t use them every day, or every week, or even every month and so am paying for something I am not using. Some apps I use suggest donations and if I use them often enough I make a donation. I would be happy to donate every so often to Vectornator. Thanks for your enthusiasm and a great app..Version: 3.3.6

App life doesn’t get better than this : )A brilliant vector app that’s absolutely free They say that if something seems too good to be true then it probably is. Call me a cynic but I keep imagining the next upgrade will turn it into a subscription . Yes - I’ve had several apps do that! Perhaps Linearity simply want to provide an amazing free vector app ? Well they wouldn’t be wrong and they really succeeded Vectornator is feature rich and simple to use. Better than Adobe in many respects and to be fair I would more than happily pay a one off purchase fee - but please no subscriptions! It’s a superb piece of kit and I thank the developers very much for their amazing work and generosity (I have one request. Please make it possible to color an individual letter (or word) in a cohesive line of type).Version: 4.10.6

AmazingBest app I’ve ever downloaded lol I was trying to find something similar to Adobe illustrator and this app is perfect! The interface is daunting at first but since I’m skilled in illustrator it didn’t take long for me to be able to find all the important tools I needed as I recognised them. I’m very surprised it’s free and hope it stays that way haha. I congrats the developer(s) for creating such an app with all its depth and complexity. It’s a fun tool for beginners and yet has all the essentials of a professional. It provided a lot more then I anticipated! 100% recommend at least giving it a shot..Version: 5.0.1

Fab Vector Drawing SoftwareSo chuffed to have found this nifty drawing app. I use it for drawing vectors for laser cutting having found the Adobe Illustrator Draw release next to useless and needing something I could use on the go.. This lovely app has all that I need - you will need to dig around a little while to find everything but the developer has done a great job of putting together a really solid tool set that feels like it’s made for grown ups to use. I’m especially chuffed to find the Pencil Tool is so sensitive and can achieve some nice crisp lines and beziers. Highly recommend this tidy app :).Version: 3.3.12

Unbelievable PowerUnbelievable that this is free for the amount of power and features. Can easily replace 90% of illustrator functions. Takes a short while to get used to the new interface but it’s all intuitive and easy to use. Not to mention how fun it is with the new iPad interface as a hybrid between trackpad support, keyboard shortcuts, pencil, touch... just a fun and immersive experience!.Version: 3.3.8

Incredibly impressed by this appI’ve not even begun to scratch the surface with Vectornator and already I’m impressed by how feature packed this app is, not to mention how beautiful and intuitive the UI is. Quite how they have managed to get this far without charging or including advertising is beyond me, and to boot it’s regularly updated with bug fixes and new features. I can’t wait to read and watch some of the excellent help and tutorials provided by the developer. This can’t stay free forever, so I’m expecting to start having to pay for this soon (especially since they’ve had a recent investment). As a note to the developers, I’d be happy to pay a one-off purchase price for the app, but would really rather avoid yet another subscription! Cheers.Version: 4.2.5

Finally! If you’re coming from an Adobe Illustrator background and find you just can’t seem to get the hang of most drawing apps, this is the one you want. It has tons of options, the interface is highly intuitive and responsive without feeling too cluttered, and you can’t beat the price (free). I’m a casual user who creates simple drawings to supplement the flash cards I make, so I haven’t put it through all of its paces, but I’m impressed with everything I’ve seen so far. The only minor points that have frustrated me so far are when I have trouble grabbing a gradient bar handle (I kept accidentally shifting my shape, but using a drawing pencil solved that problem), and remembering to find the anchor point handle options under the paintbrush menu. Otherwise, it’s been smooth sailing, right from the start..Version: 3.4.5

Excellent appI highly recommend this app, it allows me to do so much. It’s much more intuitive than that other lot and free at the moment although for how much longer I’m not sure? I use it professionally and just to play with, it helps me think up new ideas. The people behind it will reply and have spent time helping me in the past. Excellent 🥳🥳🥳🥳Keep going Vectornator!!! 🏅 Just adding that the 'Image Trace'is now brilliant!! It was the only thing I was lacking in Vectornator and now you’ve fixed it! Oh if you can only fix that 'convert to Ai file' then I won’t have to pop over to Adobe!.Version: 4.8.3

Excellent!!As self taught, I have tried to learn Adobe Illustrator for a few months. Expensive and complicated for a beginner so I ended up getting frustrated and left it. I then bumped into Vectornator and I love it. Of course it’s not as equipped as creative cloud but for a beginner like me, it’s absolutely perfect. I find it very easy and intuitive so it keeps me motivated and I learn faster. Thank you to the developers for this amazing app!!.Version: 4.10.4

Not bad for vector art on mobile!Still wish it had some more elements for precision, like mirroring or flipping. I don’t see a way to add direct value inputs for position and size so far, which is generally important to me. I can almost fully complete one of the projects I typically create in Illustrator or Photoshop (using vector in the latter). Touch commands are also pretty comfortable. I still need to try exporting to AI, and seeing how it translates, but if it works out well, I’ll be able to start some of my simpler projects on the go! Maybe someday I’ll be able to do it all entirely, with a little more patience. Been using it on the smaller of the iPhone 7 models. I bet it’s even more comfortable on iPad, but it’s still great, even on the small screen. Props!.Version: 2.5.4

Amazing app, but Update 2.0 is very confusingOld comment: The new 2.0 update has made this app completely confusing. Many functions don’t work as they have previously. Create lines from text doesn’t even react. What a heartbreak. New comment: I received a notification that this issue has been resolved. My only complaint is that the app has been so thoroughly redesigned that many functions assume intuitive knowledge, rather than utilizing previously taught functions. For example, the alt function changed to two icons displaying two shapes and a clipboard(?) to mean copy and paste? Why not just have the words showing? With all of these new changes, a user guide and accompanying tutorials have yet to be published. Ultimately, the app is fantastic for being free (seriously, incredible) however if we’re reviewing this honestly, then the above is what I have to say..Version: 2.0.1

💖💖💖L’une des meilleures applications de l’App Store bravo 💖💖👍✨🌟.Version: 4.13.0

Brilliant Vector App on the market for you iPad!I've been using many different Apps to serve my needs in vector and this app really kills the competition out there. The pen tool is a must and find that they have implemented it just right here. Also allows me to save out the vector file to Adobe Illustrator which is a must. I highly recommend it, a go to app to get your sketches from paper to digital on the go. Download it now!.Version: 2.3.3

The best the bestHelped me through my student phase without having to purchase other applications for my vector benefits! From using it to convert to vector images, making pdfs/presentations to making technical sheets for my fashion school, has been with me throughout and forever. Please don’t change :).Version: 4.13.3

Great for the price! For a free app, I’m not about to complain. It does crash a decent amount but honestly, my free trial subscription to a different vector app crashed more. I figure an ipad (or at least my iPad) just isn’t built with the processing power needed to go for hours on end. It’s very easy to use, and as a hobbyist, is really exactly what I need. (That being said, why does it need to mute the audio I’m playing? Not sure how my audiobook interferes with the functionality of the app. Maybe there’s a feature that plays audio within the app but I’m not using it.).Version: 5.0.3

TOP TIERThis is by far the best app I have ever used, no exaggeration. The UI is phenomenal and allows you to do hundreds of complex tasks insanely quickly along with looking incredibly good, and the overall feel of the app is excellent, nothing getting in the way of creative passion. I haven’t encountered a single bug or issue and have been able to design blazingly fast across my Mac, iPad and even iPhone with ease. Thank you so much for making such a high quality product, and keep up the brilliant work!.Version: 4.11.3

Couldn’t have done it without you Vectornator! In 2021 I quit my permanent position at work and started creating my own business. All of the business graphics were made using this app. Along with dog portraits and memorial portraits of loved ones. Thanks! A graphic designer or novices dream!.Version: 4.10.0

Amazing for anyone looking to do vector based artI am a college student who had been in the search for a good vector graphics app as I wasn’t able to wrap my head around how to use Adobe illustrator for example so I had been looking for alternatives. I would just like to say this is the first day of having it and whilst trying to get used to things I thought I should write a review on the incredible features that are included in this app. This app will really help me with my school work so much and I’m so glad that it’s completely affordable due to no in app purchases or subscriptions and even not even needing to pay for the app! I really hope it stays this way as it would be so beneficial to those wanting to start getting into graphic design or vector art and for those who already are into it but perhaps cannot afford other apps that have these features and there are tutorials you can watch on the website too! Thank you for helping us out with this amazing app!.Version: 4.13.4

Just simply amazingBy the fact that this is free I am loss of words. The interface is very similar with Ilustrador, I think it is even easier to use, so if you like using Adobe Ai, I highly recommend this. I recently stopped using Adobe because my permit ended, it was very sad, but when I found this I got Extremely happy. Great job!!.Version: 4.2.1
