Samsung Health for Negative User Reviews

Great fitness tracker but worse app everI have had the gear fit 2 for a while now and when I first used the app it was pretty good. However as the app has been updated it’s actually got worse. First it started to get buggy when trying to link to the wristband now it’s not downloading the daily steps or if it does it loses the steps from the day before! Also since a recent update to the software for the gearfit 2 they actual device isn’t logging floors. Come on Samsung I know I’ve got an iPhone but don’t make the app worse for us than the Samsung phone owners.Version: 1.3.0

DisappointingDisappointing at midnight every night it stops counting steps so I have to sign out and in again!!! By doing this I automatically lose the monthly challenge data and it goes back to 0 steps even when I have backed up all my data to the Samsung server the only thing that stays are my previous days step counts. This is not good at all and I am really disappointed in this. I also automatically lose challenges that I am as that data is not saved either. What’s the point in adding monthly challenges if the data does not sync?? Please fix this it’s rather frustrating and defeats the object of having fun when your data is wiped clean daily..Version: 1.4.0

Step CountNice app except I would really like a list of my daily step history and a weekly/monthly step total (not just a daily step average for the week or month).Version: 1.14.0

My review Gear Fit appFirst it’s disappointing that we have to have a secondary app for the gear fit to see the activities, there should be at least some data on the actual app. Second the data on the secondary app should be easier to access. I feel like I have to search every time I use the app to find the information I am looking for. You should make it easier to scroll through the data of our current day and the days past for comparison all data like sleep steps ETC should be on a snap shot view with tabs to get greater details and at the top of that page in the left corner an arrow pointing back to view yesterday’s information. And then of course a weekly view like you have with the trend tab now. I like my data in quick views with options for greater detail. That’s just me thanks!.Version: 1.8.0

Not as good as the Samsung version.Would love to have Blood Glucose levels and blood oxygen saturation levels included as they are in the Samsung version. Also, would like to be able to edit exercise..Version: 1.14.7

Glitchy on iOSDoesn’t even work anymore keep getting something went wrong and nothing terrible on iOS.Version: 1.14.4

No strava syncThis is so disappointing. I’ve been loving my Samsung gear sport all weekend and watching all the activity data gather - then when I go to find out how to get this syncing to strava, I read that this isn’t possible anymore and used to be. You can’t even go and download the runs or swims from their website to manually upload to strava. This defeats the whole point of me having this watch. Very disappointed, might consider returning the watch to be honest..Version: 1.6.1

Sync issuesVery rarely syncs information from my watch to the app and when it does the data is inaccurate..Version: 1.14.1

Conflict with GPS, mapping and location services on iPhone 6.For some reason this App was one of several that caused my GPS on an iPhone 6 to show wrong locations..Version: 1.9.0

Does not work at all. Please return IMMEDIATELYI am disappointed to inform that this app simply did not work. I paired my galaxy active watch to the Galaxy Watch App correctly, but the Health app does not recognize that I have paired it, and does not sync ANY data. Bluetooth AND the galaxy watch app shows that it is correctly connected but the health app refuses to sync. I’ve dug through all the forums and tried all the solutions and nothing has worked. I have redownloaded BOTH apps, reset the watch, turned my phone on and off, turned Bluetooth off, manually disconnected it from Bluetooth, etc. hey Extremely disappointed, and would give this a 0 is possible considering that it will not sync any data. I would highly suggest getting another active watch (my old Fitbit worked marvelously) and return the Samsung watch while you still can. I read all the negative comments and still plowed ahead assuming that mine would work. It did not. Please return the watch and avoid a situation like mine. Just in case you need more convincing, please note that a quick google search will tell you that Samsung is notoriously unresponsive to complaints about the watch. I beg you- don’t be like me and waste money. Return the watch and buy from another vendor..Version: 1.14.0

The burned calories calculation is not accurate. What I like.. The watch features are great the ability to add a second time zone on your watch, and find your phone, the bixby aloud to talk to and take u to exactly what u are looking for is great, I am coming from a Fitbit, and the accessibility of the galaxy active watch is amazing. What I don’t like.. The exercise calculator on the amount of burned calories is wrong by a a rega of 300 or even more.. I calculate over my old Fitbit and heart monitor and the sensor from the machines in the gym I did several trials and the numbers of galaxy active watch is different by far.. All the previous devises mentioned was not much different from each other. And the some features is not available to sink if u have a iOS. Witch I do. Like reply to text and answer phone calls and weight management. Overall if u already knows the amount of calories u bun on a daily basics might suite you. I decided to not retuned this watch because the features are so cool, and I really like it. I also have a hope that one day the calories burned it will be accurate..Version: 1.13.0

What a shame!!!I own the new gear sport and I have nothing but great things to talk about it. The Samsung health app on the other hand is such a joke. Even the MSFT band app is so much better than this. So don’t blame it on the iOS restrictions. After a week of use, I switched phones. The watch indicated that the data will be reset. I was under the impression that all the health data is stored on Samsung cloud since the app was connected to my Samsung account. Guess what?? Nothing showed up in the health app after I paired the new phone with the watch even after connecting to the Samsung account. Later on I found some sync setting under my account which was turned off by default. I can live with the lost data. After 2 days of use I synced the app. All the data from today appeared in the app. But nothing from yesterday. I tried manually syncing again. No dice. No idea what is going on. As a cherry on top, the app started to crash randomly. Great job!!!.Version: 1.2.0

IOS App not the bestI really would like the IOS version be better than this it is very limited..Version: 1.13.1

It kind of does what it needs to doThe user experience is not great. No auto-sync meaning that every time you open the app, the data is out of date and you need to pull down to refresh. That usually does not sync anything so you need to try again a few more times. Than finally you get your data into the app. Now you need to reload Together tab. Now that Together tab is reloaded, you need to go back to main tab to resync with your watch so that the info on your watch is up to date. Oh yeah and also if you do not do this several-minute-process every die, you will likely lose data from your watch. It will be on your watch but the app will be like “meh too old, I am not going to sync that”. Also, it is not possible to share your sleep or steps from your watch with any other applications. So overall, it is not like it does not work. It does when you are patient enough and remember to go through the process daily. I am glad that they at least brought the Together feature to iPhone users and that they are still improving the app. However, at the moment the user experience makes me want to hit myself with a chair out of frustration..Version: 1.4.0

Group challengesWhy aren’t group challenges a thing.Version: 1.14.4

I cannot log in.It tells me my Samsung account it linked to my google account and to log in through google but it doesn’t give me an option to do that. Since I’m on iPhone it doesn’t connect automatically..Version: 1.14.6

Please Update Display for iPhone MiniI've been using Samsung Health on my iPhone for years. It helps me track the health & fitnes data that's most important to me: steps, sleep, heart rate, calories, weight, etc. It's a shame the developer hasn't updated the app for iOS users in over a year. The current app looks terrible on my iPhone Mini. The display is zoomed in, and I can't see portions of the graphs because they're cut off. There are no options to adjust the display size in the app settings, so it makes me think they made the app only for users with bigger phone screens. Please fix!.Version: 1.14.6

LiesOk let’s get this straight if you cycle using a Samsung watch it does not record the data that can be transferred to this app it only tracks steps and steps only Go for a garmin is pisses all over this app Samsung is rubbish for Fitness It’s just a watch you play with If you want fitness data running cycling swimming Samsung watch ain’t it Really disappointing Update ditch this app if you have a Samsung galaxy watch and if your into cycling and download Strava app iPhone and strava from Samsung to install it on the watch. Strava watch app has an automatic pause and after a ride you just hit sync on the watch and it will load straight to the app it also stores the rides as well on the watch Gives a map of route, distance stats speed on a graph heart rate graph and elevation graph and effort through ride Also has live tracking with other cyclist in the premium option If you have a garmin on your bike as well it allows you to sync garmin to strava And migrate rides from strava to garmin also does the same for outdoor and indoor running, Nordic skiing outdoor and indoor cycling hiking or just a workout heart rate.Version: 1.13.0

You killed your appThis app was working perfectly on my iPhone until this latest update. Now it’s totally dead. The app won’t even open. All attempts to reset it have failed. And if I delete and reinstall I lose all my data. Please fix it!!!.Version: 1.6

Worked with Active but no longer doesThis was working with my Active watch but then stopped syncing steps. I deleted the app and tried to reinstall on my iPhone but now it won’t even reinstall. I was assured it would work with my iPhone when I purchased but it no longer does..Version: 1.10.0

HorrendousNot worth the money. If you need this app to connect with your Samsung watch good luck. I hope my issue is with the watch rather than the app but the watch requires this app and it really does not work. I have a Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro and the sequence required to sync involves three apps and must be done in the correct order. Most days I have to restart both phone and watch and despite showing as connected in a couple of places (Bluetooth settings and Samsung Gear app) most days this app says there are no wearable devices connected. So I can rarely download data and when it does work I get two days max of data losing the rest. It’s a celebration when it does download. I’ve contacted the support team and the response is slow, and really demonstrated that the developer needs to rethink the experience for users - eg the need to open the Samsung Gear app and then the Samsung Health app (but not by using the Samsung Health icon in the Gear app as that doesn’t work). I won’t start on the watch that is a whole other basket case of issues definitely no good if you want reliable GPS or sleep data. It’s so wrong it is laughable. 150 kilometers in 20 minutes of exercise?.Version: 1.7.0

Activity doesn’t always updateI often go on walks and once finished I often am unable to upload, finish activity. This problem is only on Apple iPhone. Was fine when I had Samsung phone.Version: 1.14.2

Unreliable Data ConnectivityI have an iPhone but like the Samsung galaxy watch. Whilst the galaxy watch app appears to connect just fine to the watch, the Samsung Health App is different animal it would seem. Often have connectivity issues and will not download data from a recent run , this is despite having just recently installed all new software into a new phone…. Any help on this matter will be appreciated…..Version: 1.14.6

Never syncs properlyI’ve had a galaxy watch active for about half a year now and I love the watch, but the app drives me up the wall. It never syncs and loses data. I have months on the app where it just says “no data recorded”. Yesterday I did 8000 steps according to my watch but every single time I synced the app it said I did just over 7000. I should be able to just open the app and have it connected but I have to jump through many hoops every time to just get it to connect to my watch, and even then it doesn’t sync properly. I’ve done every troubleshooting suggestion in the reply’s from Samsung: everything is updated, automatic sync is on, background refresh is on and I open the watch app and let it connect before trying but it still doesn’t sync properly. If you have a health app it should at the bare minimum sync the steps properly! It’s a health tracker!! It’s really disappointing and frustrating because I love the watch but I would not recommend it to anyone for the sole reason of this app. Needs to be fixed soon..Version: 1.13.0

Apple Watch SupportI love this app as all my friends have Samsung but I love my Apple Watch and wish it would import the data from it or even the apple health app. Please please please look at incorporating the Apple Watch into this app as after the last Apple Health update its a horrible app and Samsung Health is so much better..Version: 1.3.0

The app doesn’t startIt stops after showing the green splash screen :(.Version: 1.5

Chock Full O’ GlitchesThis application requires at least two attempts to launch before tracking any activity. It simply closes and needs to be re-opened. When it is (finally) successfully launched, it freezes after completing a run, walk, or bike ride. It doesn’t discriminate. The “Pause” selection is merely that, a pause in recording an actively, while the clock continues. Then the app performs its customary freeze function. It should be renamed as, “Pause/Freeze.” The required transition to “Stop,” simply doesn’t work. I find that performing a complete shut-down of my iPhone, is an effective way to get the darn app to stop recording any more time. Deleting and downloading the app hasn’t solved the operational issues. Inconvenient. Frustrating. Like the watch, not a fan of this application..Version: 1.13.1

HopelessThe app is useless and I have not been able to upload my data to my phone from my watch for weeks . It is always connected via Bluetooth but still won’t upload data.Version: 1.13.1

It does not detect my Samsung Gear watchThis is an issue in the app.Version: 1.9.0

Very inconsistent and frustratingAlways says that no wearables are connected open opening, yet the Samsung wearables App tells me it is. Occasionally auto syncs (is turned on in the App, but you have to keep trying to sync which takes times and often fails. Sometimes I have not been able to get it to sync and the data never get transferred. Sleep hardly even records even when steps do, which makes no sense. But when you look on the watch the sleep analysis is there. Just not a patch on other health Apps (Fitbit for example), perhaps it’s better if you have a Samsung phone, so if you have an iPhone my advice is avoid and use another App and get the Apple Watch. I would add I have follows the online help guides for this error and they did not help, Bluetooth and WiFi both on and work with other devices no problem. Love the watch hate the App, so thinking about returning..Version: 1.13.0

Keeps shutting downSince the last update 5 days ago, the app has shut down mid-run every time. I was happy with the app til then. Not so happy now..Version: 1.14.2

App fails to talk to watch since iOS updateDidn’t find the app brilliant but it did the basics. Cons would be lost from time to time. But I could restore by turning off BT and re establish the connection. Over the weekend the phone updated to iOS 12.4. Now the refuses to communicate wither watch for more than a few seconds before it says says no wearable devices connected. I reset phone and watch and it talks again for a few seconds starts to update the data within the app then stops with the same message..Version: 1.11.2

The snow is comingThe only thing I would like to see is the first time that you have been able to get a job at the hospital because you are not a doctor or a nurse or a medical professional so I think that would be great if you could do it but if not I understand.Version: 1.14.6

App doesn’t SyncI’ve attempted to sync the app particularly to use the sleep tracker but it doesn’t sync and I can’t even find proper instructions anywhere how to sync the Gearfit2 to the app. It just offers to add sleep manually which is useless anyway. On the gearfit it tells me I’m lightly sleeping even when I’ve been walking around in the middle of the night so it’s not accurate at all, it should show that I’m awake..Version: 1.6.1

Below average at best!App is trash with so many of the main features or most important ones completely missing which is so confusing. The app works great with your watch and Nothing else. Most of the food in the calorie count is missing or not there. Leaving you to have to add even the simplest of calories. KROGERS CHICKEN!!? No mention seriously!? And because of this you’re forced to add them in yourself. The entire nutrition facts just to keep count! Lean beef? Not added gotta do it yourself. Uho went to a restaurant? NOT THERE! Figure out what you ordered and it’s nutrition facts. Uho you forgot your watch? Or it died? Or simply just didn’t count the steps you did? TOO BAD. You can’t add your steps in! Went to the gym and did workout to add? Nope can’t do that either. What about the app asking you to rate it? NO! Can’t do that either find it in the store and rate it manually! So disappointed with this app. Hate so many of it’s useless features that are basic in so many others. I used this app because of my watch. And now I see all its flaws so disappointed! Verdict is a 4/10!.Version: 1.14.0

Would've given a 5 but..This app doesn't even count my steps! I checked below and it says that is my iPhone 5s is compatible for this app however the pedometer suggests that I have done 0 steps even though I have been walking. I don't understand why this is happening and no I don't need an accessory to count my steps because there are members in my family who also have an iPhone 5s and they use this app which counts their steps without them having an accessory!! I dont need an accessory to use together or to count my steps so why is it that every time i click 'together' a notification comes up saying that I need a wearable device that can measure steps. This device can measure steps because I have the Apple Health app which counts my steps daily. Fix this Samsung!!!!!!.Version: 1.7.0

Needs another widgetThe app works well but is missing the activity widget to get total calories burnt, is it possible to have this added? I had this when I used the watch on my old Samsung..Version: 1.14.6

Lack of Longterm InfoApart from the usual ‘data entry’ level info, there’s not much to really enjoy here. Clunky, hard to understand and incomplete English sentences under ‘Information’ on things like the ‘Igloo challenge’ - a great concept, badly executed. I would like to see graphs, patterns, averages, ability to compare overall fitness levels over time, etc. Not having a great time with this app on my iPhone whilst using the Samsung Galaxy Active2 Watch (which IS very good). Disappointed in whole experience though - unable to use Samsung Pay etc but that’s another story for the compatibility. Just think Samsung could do better for the price they ask for a smart watch..Version: 1.14.4

Fine app itself, but drains my watch batteryGot a new iPhone and never reinstalled the S health app as I was busy in grad school and not working out enough to notice. Started working out again and realized I didn’t have the app so I couldn’t transfer my workout data. I downloaded the app after my workout and threw my watch on the charger that night. The next day my watch’s battery was draining like NONE OTHER. Actually could watch my battery number decrease. It went from 100% to 80% in less than 2 hours which was unreal. Usually with everyday use including having Bluetooth on it would drain ~15-20% in a DAY. I uninstalled the S health app and my battery stopped draining. So that stinks. Can’t use the watch with my phone to store my workout data which is the reason I had the app in the first place. Wish there was a setting to turn off continuous updating unless the app is on. If there was one, I couldn’t find it in any of the settings or when I searched google. Please fix..Version: 1.11.2

Cant see number of calories burned dailyI am using Samsung galaxy active 2 along with iOS 14 and its very disappointing that I cant find numbers of calories burned daily, I only see calories burned for activities which is not enough, is there any resolution for this issue? Under be more active tile I can see calories burned for activity but not its bot the whole daily calories burned for the day including active and not active calories..Version: 1.14.4

Great Watch poor softwareWatch quality is amazing and is an excellent product however the software is nowhere near good enough. Other providers and their links to key apps is far superior than the software I must use on my phone.Version: 1.14.6

Just be better SamsungI have my target calories set and it tracks my fitness, but my daily allocated calories should automatically adjust according to the amount of exercise I’ve done that day. This is unfortunately I will be going back to the My Fitness Pal app which does this well. Any comments from the developer on this would be appreciated. Thanks..Version: 1.14.0

App does not connect to watchSamsung Health app not connecting with Samsung Galaxy Watch, even though my phone is connected via Bluetooth & wifi, and the Galaxy Watch app is connected and syncing to the watch. I’ve rebooted the watch, double checked the watch and app are running on the same account & keep clicking “sync” on Samsung Health, but it will not sync or connect to my watch..Version: 1.14.6

Needs more infoNice UU but lacks a lot of health info that is on watch. Come on Samsung. You can do it. It’s too basic IMO..Version: 1.14.4

Good potential but doesn’t syncApps has great potential to be a one stop shop however the galaxy watch loses connection randomly and then I keep getting the “no wearable devices connected” error. Reinstalled, reconnected and restarted did the typical workarounds and after initially connecting again, then the same error happens. Please fix ASAP. Also would be great if this could integrate sleep and step, and calories data with map my fitness apps.Version: 1.6

Three Major BugsPremise: I really love this app! I so appreciate the Samsung gear watch, and I love that it has an iOS version app. I also love the ability to set goals, log food, and compete internationally with steps! All great things!! Without the following bugs, I would give this app 5 stars. 1) the app will misplace food entries, specifically putting yesterday's dinner/"evening snack" into today's log for dinner/"evening snack". It is very frustrating to have to reprogram meals into previous days; I often have to do it two or three times before it sticks! Very bad. 2) the app immediately crashes when I try to access my physical goal (one of the top wheels in the upper left corner that keeps track of my total activity of the day in terms of minutes). The screen goes black and returns me to my home screen :/ extremely frustrating. 3) I am unable to write a comment/complaint to Samsung directly through the app. Every time I try, the message either refuses to send or the app itself crashes. I have tried different internet sources, resetting my whole phone, refreshing the app -- nothing allows for me to send communication over these problems directly to the app creator :/ Please note: my iOS system is up to date as of two days ago, and problems persist/worsen. My phone is iPhone 6 gen. I have the latest update for the Samsung app. I hope to update my review of this app if/when these bugs are fixed. I hope to hear from the Samsung team soon. Thank you..Version: 1.5

Steps don’t sync after updateSleep, workouts and heart rate sync fine but steps show zero in the app, even though they show on my gear fit 2. I have deleted and reinstalled the app, restarted iPhone and gear fit 2, checked gear fit 2 for updates and still doesn’t work. Very frustrating. Everything worked fine til the update. I also wish gear fit 2 had the aerobics, skiing (and other sports listed in the app) as an option when selecting a workout. It would be a nice enhancement. EDIT: software version R360XXU1DQJ3. Edit2: I updated to 3 stars as I did receive a response and instructions on how to get additional help. It’s still not syncing steps but I’m following up to get more help. EDIT 4: it’s finally working. Support desk sent a long list of things to try and one worked. Thank you. Leaving my rating at 3 as it could be so much better but for the features available it works as advertised.Version: 1.2.1

Syncing with apple healthI would expect that this app could be a data source for heart rate. Unfortunately it doesn’t provide any data points to apple health. May need to consider a different watch..Version: 1.14.4

Extremely disappointed. Two times in the past two to three months, the app had everything disappear except the three goal rings at the top. I had to completely reset everything in order to get anything to work. Then, today, everything was gone again, but this time even the goal rings were gone. How can you track anything if you have to reset everything every month? This is ridiculous. Not to mention, I’ve started getting an error every time I try to send an error report. I will never invest in anything Samsung again, that is for sure. These aren’t even including the watch issues I’ve had. So disappointed. Update: They reached out to respond to this review by telling me to reinstall the app (yet again) and restart my iPhone (yet again)... I’m sick of having to delete and reinstall this app, losing all of my data... isn’t the very point of an app like this, the data? I will not be reinstalling the app yet again. Too many issues between my watch and the app, both. Neither work correctly as often as they should, in my experience. Good luck to Samsung and other users..Version: 1.4.1

Mr bossApp is rubbish , I’ve got to level 5xp to go to level 3 , and then level 4 then back to level 3 , rest twice on the green challenge. Also it rubbish , at count step , that go up and down also . Syncing is well out of balance or incorrect , add your steps your it could be 15,600 yet the app will say 9,800 for the seven days , it also saying I’ve been sleep for 48hours . Will not be going any other Samsung product again.Version: 1.5

It’s okWell it worked for me and it’s a nice way of seeing all the data from my active watch (too small to see directly on the watch). However simple things seem to have been missed. Mainly I can’t see a way of zooming in/getting to see more accurate data. So I can see lots of data has been taken on my heart rate. But I can’t se anything other than the line and a random scale - so the lowest number on the scale is 64, when the line drops below this it could be anything. Similar story with sleep patterns, you can’t zoom in to see the time. It’s a real shame as all the data is there, there just seems to be no way of seeing it..Version: 1.14.4

Gear fit 2 pro stopped syncing with new versionNothing synced with this app over the last week since the update. I have rebooted gear fit 2pro, uninstalled and reinstalled the app this morning, got 5 steps and heart rate synchronised immediately after that and nothing since even after a full factory reset of the device. Samsung gear app is communicating with the device because it shows the battery state accurately but the Samsung health app just sits there spinning saying “connecting ...”.Version: 1.6.1

Not impressedThe app is slow to update and constantly errors. Coming from a Fitbit, I am extremely disappointed with the device and the app. Do not recommend to anyone..Version: 1.14.4

Was great but now doesn’t workI am not sure when this went wrong! It used to work well with my S3 Frontier but during one update or another the battery now is completely depleted in a couple of hours if I have Bluetooth on but with Bluetooth off it doesn’t synch with the app. The app now doesn’t open so something is awry. Love the watch and get lots of compliments but Samsung don’t appear to have worked out the app in an iPhone X and Samsung gear combination that’s workable..Version: 1.5

Galaxy watch active compatibility? Is the app compatible only with the 2nd gen? Or is it compatible with the 1st generation galaxy watch active as well? Thanks!.Version: 1.14.2

Can’t sync with IPhonePlease fix this if it’s a bug, and offer support to resolve the issue so I can use my beautiful watch as a sleep, heart rate, activity, and lifestyle tracker — as was its intended purpose. I have a super smart watch that works great but I can only track my activity IN THE MOMENT which is useless. Please fix this if it’s a bug, and offer support to resolve the issue so I can use my beautiful watch as a sleep, heart rate, activity, and lifestyle tracker — as was its intended purpose. It’s not a tracker if it CANT TRACK. Sucks to ‘hope’ it gets fixed and have NO support to solve the problem: I don’t know why, but after a few years of really living my watch and the app, I linked my watch to a new phone (had iPhone 8, now using SE2) and the watch connects to the ‘watch’ app, but not the health app. It sucks. Spent 3 or 4 hours texting with tech support while they researched the problem. Their response: hopefully they (Samsung; even tech support called ‘they’) fix it soon. She didn’t even offer to report it to anyone. So that was not helpful..Version: 1.14.2

So disappointingI have loved my Samsung watch but S health never syncs with my iPhone. It says 0 steps everyday. It doesn't integrate with any other fitness activity apps. The watch is great but the apps render is useless for tracking any activities done. Update:. Samsung asks what I am using gear fit 2 with an iPhine 6. It barely worked with my Samsung phone. Now the app just takes up space on my phone. I am so disappointed. It does not read my watch or my phone steps. I have done all the resets and Bluetooth suggestions they mention but funny that they always act as though it is user error rather than the app. But they know it is the app. What good is the watch data without the app? I love my watch bit the app is trash. And this basically means my watch is only able to 25% of what is promised..Version: 1.3.0

Login via Google account is not possibleHey I moved from a Samsung device to iPhone. My Samsung account uses Google auth. Unfortunately when trying to log in to my Samsung account with my email I am simply told that I’ll need to login with my Google account but no prompt or redirect for me to do so is provided. This means I effectively can’t sync my data properly:(.Version: 1.14.6

Can’t connectWhenever I try to update it says no device connected, but iPhone says it is connected..Version: 1.14.2

Samsung health app not compatible with Samsung Galaxy Watch ??So I just spent $550 on this watch, it records amazing data, my heart rate, my sleep, my steps etc, it’s all graphed on the watch......yet It is NOT compatible with the Samsung health app?? How can this be? If you make a watch that has these amazing features, surely you can supply an app so data can be transferred and analysed? So disappointed in the app..Version: 1.11.1

Rarely will sync with iPhoneThe Samsung gear watch I would give a four out of five. The app I gave a two out of five. Rarely will it sync between the watch and the phone. Tried resetting both. Sometimes it will work most of the time it won’t. Makes fitness tracking with the watch next to impossible. And very frustrating. If you are using an iPhone, I wouldn’t suggest using the Samsung watch and app. Updated Tried all of the suggestions from Samsung. App just plain doesn’t work at least with an iPhone. If I play with the watch by shutting it down then turning it back on, then closing the app and opening it back up, I may be able to get it to sync once or twice. Who wants to do that every time? Never had a problem with my Fitbit. Giving up on it and throwing it in my junk drawer.Version: 1.14.2

Absolutely uselessThe app worked sporadically until the last update when it finally refused to synchronize at all with my watch. I have tried everything to get it to work again but to no avail. Is Samsung health actually affiliated at all with Samsung? The galaxy watch app itself has worked flawlessly and it leaves me with this impression that the health app is run by a couple of people in a basement somewhere. I have seen plenty of other people complain about the same issue and yet no update has been issued and it has been over a month. I am kind of forced to have iOS (work phone) and would recommend anyone shopping for a watch with fitness tracking in mind look somewhere else..Version: 1.14.0

Total calories burnedJust converted to iPhone and was using Samsung health on my galaxy phones for years. One feature that I really liked was being able to see the total calories burned in a day (active calories burned+resting calories burned). On this iPhone version of the Samsung health app I can only see my active calories burned during exercise. Why is that? How can I see my total calories burned? Would be 5 star if this feature can be added. Update* developer contacted me pointing me to an article in medium, but like I noted in my original review the article only shows you how to see your active calories burned, not total calories burned (active calories burned+resting calories burned)..Version: 1.14.2

Inconsistent and unreliableSometimes the app works fine. Often it won’t sync to Galaxy watch, looses step data or plain blank won’t connect to the watch even though the watch is Bluetoothed to phone ok and the Samsung Galaxy Watch app connects ok. Annoyingly the app has a new issue that the step data is not reporting the same as the watch. I can make it either show all step data which reports higher or mobile step data which reports lower (Apple Health step data only). I cannot make it report watch step data only..Version: 1.14.6

Not Syncing with AccountSince the last update this no longer syncs with Samsung Account. Crappy app on iOS when it should be much better. Also no support for connected services such as Strava. Fix this ASAP please..Version: 1.4.0

SOOOOO AVERAGEDoesn’t sync well with iPhone, always having to turn my Bluetooth on and off to get any data transferred from my galaxy watch.. super frustrating.Version: 1.12.0

Latest Update Is AwdulThe latest update has killed the ability to sync your phone via the App. Please fix ASAP.Version: 1.13.0

FeedbackSlow to respond. Difficult to track position; even shows hiking over water. Rarely provides full log of distance travelled. Drops out during logging..Version: 1.6.1

Inexcusable failThis app: 1) failed to sync any of my contacts forcing me to reset and uninstall after I had already spent time setting everything up. 2) has no provisions for truly stand alone LTE for the Galaxy watch at least. It can only piggyback off your normal phone so if you have prepaid you will not be able to use LTE. 3) has a terribly unintuitive UX. Samsung embedded their Google play store knockoff and it doesn't ever have an easy to find section for watch faces unless you're trying to view the tiny little thumbnails from the watch itself 4) is riddled with all kinds of garbage UX that redirects you to a different place to turn something on or Grant permissions.Version: 1.10.0

Made the switch from Samsung to iPhone- not the same!!I absolutely love the Samsung health app on my Samsung phone. I wear a galaxy active watch and the app connects flawlessly to both my Samsung phone and watch. The Discover tab offered workouts and programs you could join that tracked progress all while programming for you (a digital personal trainer, if you will). So I make the silly switch to iPhone for family reasons, I still wear my galaxy smart watch because it IS compatible with iPhone. I download this app to my iPhone to continue my running program- which I am 4 weeks in the middle of. It is not there! The discover tab on iPhone is just news articles! The functionality is basically useless for iPhone. I refuse to buy an Apple Watch because it is not fitness geared- which is the reason I purchased my galaxy to begin within. I don’t understand why the same features are not available for both versions!.Version: 1.14.0

Junk- Waste of TimeSuch a nice idea to compete with friends in a social environment - one of the reasons I bought my "Gear." It worked, then didn't, worked, then didn't- then dumped all my workout data- and now will not even launch! What a waste of time and storage space, and what a frustrating fact that you cannot use the Samsung Gear S2 or S3 reliably with ANY software- especially not this app. I will never purchase a Samsung device ever again because support is so limited from a company that does not stand behind their product. SUCH A NICE WATCH, LOADED WITH FEATURES THAT DON'T WORK. SUCH A NICE APP- UNTIL YOU INSTALL IT AND SEE HOW SPORADIC IT IS, WITH RANDOM FAILS AND UPDATES THAT F*@K EVERYTHING UP. For the record- I have an iPhone 8, and Samsung galaxy S8, Tab E4 pro and other Samsung devices-- FitBit is the way to go- paired to whatever you want, has never failed me and gives professional results. Samsung works across the board for me about 12% of the time. Keep it up Samsung, and see how long you stick around! Your stocks are falling just like positive reviews here at the store..Version: 1.4.1

Sleep data syncAll my other data syncs very easily however I have only managed to sync my sleep data twice (2 nights) in over a month. When I enquired at the pop up shop regarding some assistance, the woman there rolled her eyes and said “Well it’s obviously an IOS issue” as if to say “der!”.Version: 1.11.2

More limited if iPhone userOverall a good app but it’s a real shame that this app doesn’t facilitate the same functionality for iPhone users. I have the app because I have a Samsung active2 watch but can’t integrate other health apps which is a real shame. Also can’t link with any friends on the app (why restrict this for iPhone users??). The food tracking section of the app has a fair way to go still to compete with myfitnesspal (hence wanting to integrate the two apps). Hope Samsung are able to work on this as it will put people with iPhones off buying their fitness watches..Version: 1.14.2

Steps do not match upUpdate - does not sync to watch at all now! Utter rubbish app! Not everything seems to sync up correctly. My step count on the app is always lower than what it says on the watch. I have a step goal of ten k on the watch and I try to hit that every day. When I do hit it on my watch when I check on the app it’s always lower. Even when it says I have a sync up to date. Also the sleep function does not sync up correctly. Massively out of sync. I don’t understand how it can be so incorrect. My watch says I have slept for around 7 hours yet the app has only logged one hour or so. Has anyone else had similar issues? Such a let down. I shall do an update and check other reviews for guidance..Version: 1.11.2

Doesn’t sync with Apple HealthThe app itself is actually very nice but the fact that in 2020 it still doesn’t sync with Apple Health is a complete deal-breaker for me. It’s also quite silly because Apple Health is an open platform which works with dozens of other apps. It’s also becoming one of the dominant e-health platforms. Samsung’s intransigence here is really hurting users, and I certainly won’t buy another Samsung device. What a shame..Version: 1.14.2

Don’t think it syncs with Apple healthI like the galaxy fit which works with the Samsung health app well. However it doesn’t seem to integrate very much at all with the Apple health app. I don’t know if this is done intentionally by Samsung. If it is it will put me off future Samsung products as I would hope wearables or complementary products work with any device I choose to use. If it is done by Apple I have to say it is making it harder to stay. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to sync runs, heart rate etc with my Apple health so I can happily use the galaxy fit AND see my health data in one place?.Version: 1.13.0

Not working with ios 15.1Ever since updating to ios 15.1 the Fit E connects to my iphone 8 plus, but none of the data downloads on to the phone. Ised to work consistently but limited benefits before the update. Samsung Fit pairs and connects just fine since iOS 15, but samsung health does not connect and does not download any info. Also, if Samsung fit is open and connected, opening Samsung health just kills the connection from it also..Version: 1.14.4

Galaxy5 Watch issueWhy can I not connect my Samsung Galaxy5 watch to my iPhone?.Version: 1.14.6

Good with iPhone 7, crap with iPhone 11I have a Samsung Fit, and this app plus the Galaxy Fit app worked fine (it’s an odd back and forth handoff, but it worked fine). Since I upgraded to an iPhone 11 about three weeks ago, the software is constantly losing the connection, the band resets randomly, my heart rate data only downloads once in a while, and none of my sleep data is being downloaded. When I got this, I just wanted a reliable heart rate and workout monitor, and the sleep tracking was a nice bonus. Now, I get consistent step data, occasional heart rate data, and no sleep data. The extremely annoying thing is that I can see a tiny chart of my sleep data on the Fit, and the app tells me it’s downloading the sleep data, but it never displays it. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the app on the new phone, or they just pushed a crap update about the same time I got it, but I’m extremely disappointed to find that a great, minimalist fitness tracker that met my needs has all but crapped out on me. I have a lot of Samsung products, but I won’t touch their phones or any of their other personal electronics, if they don’t fix this..Version: 1.13.0

The app will not work without a SIM cardI bought a galaxy fit 2 and the galaxy fit app works perfectly fine but this app will not even go past a pop up saying you have to have a SIM card in order to use the app. I don’t get why you would need a SIM card. I’m only in grade 8 I can’t afford a SIM card..Version: 1.14.6

Downloading data is a not workingA long time ago I bought the original Samsung fitness band and it died soon after its warranty ran out. I downloaded the new app to extract the data hopping to add it to newer data. It seemed to go really well until I tried to unzip the file it generated. At that point a password was required but my Samsung password didn’t work and I had not been given or asked to create another..Version: 1.14.6

Pale version of the Samsung appI just switched to an iPhone for work purposes and the iOS version of the app is not as nice. I am definitely missing the calorie balance piece showing in one spot my calories burned versus intake. Other features like Glow are gone too..Version: 1.14.0

Desperately in need of an update!App is slow, choppy even on the latest iPhone 13 pro. The Samsung really needs to fix the bugs since the last update was 11 months ago! What kind of big tech company that doesn’t update their apps for nearly a year?.Version: 1.14.4

Poor AppIt saddens me that the Samsung gear fit 2 Pro which is an excellent device has apps of this poor quality to support it. This app constantly shuts down. It’s almost impossible to use the food function because it will suddenly just close and all your work will be lost. They say they answer emails within 24 hours. It has now been three days and I’ve not heard a response to my inquiries. Without significant fixes that allow this to function properly on an iPhone, the app is useless Developer: I always have the latest version of iOS (currently 11.2). As for when, I don’t see a pattern. No matter what I’m doing it simply disappears. When I look at open programs, Samsung Health is shown. When I click on it the program restarts. Developer 2: The only update I see use one that fixes the problem on the iPhone 5. It really doesn’t matter as I have switched to a Garmin product. In the future, I will be very wary of buying Samsung products.Version: 1.4.2

Booted me out and cannot get back onAfter using Samsung health on my apple device for nine months. A few days ago my account logged me out and even after making a new account, the app is not working fully. My together does not work, keeps asking me to sign privacy etc even though I have: many bugs. Very disappointment that after 9 months I disappear from the system and is worse than ever. Adding friends is more difficult than before. My watch will not sync now , although my phone shows it. Will move onto Apple Watch as Samsung is terrible in comparison..Version: 1.6.1

Lots of good info but could be betterI wrote the review below a while back, since then the devs have added in the ability for the app to read data from Apple health but it still can’t write data, I’d really like to see all my health data from all my apps in one place. “This app is great it gives you plenty of useful health information when linked to my S2 Classic but it would be so much better if it also linked in with the Apple Heath app, all of my other lifestyle and fitness apps integrate with it but this is the only one that doesn’t, it’s a real shame as my S2 checks my heart rate and gives a more accurate step count as I don’t always have my phone in my pocket when I’m walking around at work. This app would be 5 stars if it had this integration.”.Version: 1.11.2

Missing key functionalityYou cannot sync your data (most importantly, steps) from Samsung Health to the Apple Health app. All the steps recorded by my Gear Fit 2 are essentially useless as a lot of my apps only read the Apple Health step data. Will this functionally be coming to the app soon?.Version: 1.14.4

Really Good but disappointing recently.Samsung Health has always been my go-to app for calorie counting and has helped me lose a lot of weight in the past. However each time it gets a new update more features are taken away from it. I recently read online that in some parts of the world they have even taken away the calorie counting feature, which is the number one thing I use in the app. So Samsung if you’re reading this will this feature get removed? This app has always been my favorite and would have five stars if it weren’t for this taking away of features with every update and some lagginess that I have experienced in the app from time to time. Other then that the layout of the app is great. It had very cool and helpful features and still does just not as much as it use to. The only thing it never had which would have been good is an option to scan barcodes which would make adding foods to the calorie counter easier as oppose to typing them out in the search bar. Either way I found the calorie counter to be great and I really hope it doesn’t get removed from the app..Version: 1.14.4

Sim card required?!??Please make a way to use wifi and find your location not sim card or ask for location.Version: 1.14.4

Does this work, even at all?I have a galaxy watch and it is all kinds of greatness, but the syncing of health data is frustrating as hell. It simply refuses to do it. All I get is “No wearable devices connected” all day long and no sync data. The galaxy watch app happily sees the watch and reports info on battery/RAM/storage but health data is nowhere to be found. I did get some data on the initial connection, and I have got it to sync 2 or 3 times with various reboot tricks, but now even those tricks don’t seem to work. I have rebooted both devices, turned Bluetooth on/off, logged in/out of my Samsung account, even removed the health app completely and reinstalled! I still just get “No wearable devices connected” its driving me to insanity. I love this watch, but if this is the kind of experience I can expect long term, it’ll have to be returned. So sad that such a simple function of the device could be so fatally flawed..Version: 1.10.0

Weight management removedI used to love this app and use it all the time in conjunction with my Samsung active watch. It was so handy having everything in one app. Now I have to switch between different apps and stopped using Samsung health all together. Will the weight management widget be added back? If so I would love to start using Samsung health again but I am so disappointed.Version: 1.14.6

App doesn’t work on iOS14.4.1I can’t set 1:1 challenges on this app.this app doesn’t support this os.Version: 1.14.4

MmmmmGood app but doesn’t always sync with iPhone daily, so you end up loosing a lot of movement data if you don’t push the sync..Version: 1.11.2

Great app, but unstable on iPhone.I’ve been Samsung Galaxy user for the last 7 years. Since then I’ve been using the S-health app and recorded all my workouts. Last month I switched over to the iPhone and was glad that this app was supported on this platform. I was able to sync my previous data and be able to continue using this app. It works great except for the following two issues: 1) the app periodically crashes in the middle of my running workout. It’s frustrating because the data is lost when it crashes and then you’ve to manually enter this data. 2) there is no voice prompt during the workout like it used to be on the Galaxy phone. It helps as the numbers like distance, duration are being prompted while you’re in the workout. Other than that, I love using this app as it allows me to download my personal data and analyze the way I want..Version: 1.14.4

Starting outStarting out using this app can be a little bit frustrating but once you get used to doing it it’s quite easy to use There are times when I’ve done extra kilometres and has not recognised so you don’t get any rewards the verity of exercises you can select are quite good The search engine on the food items is also quite reasonable as it covers most day today Food.Version: 1.14.4

Version 1.5 reviewThis update doesn’t help anybody or doesn’t contain any useful thing, just some minor improvements and some very small changes that they aren’t useful, when I read all comments, I suppose the Samsung Development team will integrate this app with Apple health kit with high priority but, this is disappointing to see after two months just we have some small changes in notifications application lock and no login!!! These are not serious for all users, please make integration with Apple health kit to satisfy the users, now i give you only one star, after getting good experience from this app, will give you 5 stars, we need just Apple HealthKit integration! (simple thing for Development, ready api just use it).Version: 1.5

GPS tracking not working during workout and the pause and stop options rarely work on iPhoneI’ve found recently that the app is not mapping runs/walks even though I have GPS permission enabled at all times under the iPhone permissions for the application. Also, the pause and stop buttons seem to be more miss than hit in executing there function. Pause will bring up the resume/stop option but the clock keeps running and hitting stop does nothing. The program then crashes and comes back up with a notification about an internal error and loses the entire workout. Never use to have these issues before. Please fix..Version: 1.13.1

Has become buggyIn the past few weeks the app has become very laggy and slow. Rather than syncing data just once it refreshes over and over and is constantly trying to sync even when all information appears up to date, causing the app to be very slow and unresponsive when trying to navigate the different categories. Hopefully a fix will be applied soon..Version: 1.14.4

Update issueSince the last update my Gear Fit 2 shows that it is connected in settings but when I refresh the main page it says “no wearable devices connected”. I can’t view or track any of my activity from the past week..Version: 1.6.1

Much improved, but still buggyThe app largely does what you want from a health tracker, though the interface isn't entirely intuitive. You can view and enter data from selecting in the goals display or by clicking on a tracker item added to the grid. What I don't understand is why those take you to different interfaces for the same data. It's like the developers couldn't decide on an approach so they gave us both, but both are incomplete without the other view. Syncing is much improved with the latest version of the software, plus a firmware update on my G3 watch. Biggest problem for me is a date/time bug which affects entering "dinner" details. Looks like it doesn't correctly account for your local timezone (I'm on EDT) so entries will disappear for today and show up instead for tomorrow. Sometimes it doesn't happen immediately, so you briefly see the totals you expect only to have them change. Super frustrating as it seems there's no good way for the user to correct it and force the date, and you can't delete the data for tomorrow until, well tomorrow. I've even seen it happen trying to correct data for the previous day despite having the date and time explicitly set..Version: 1.7.0

This app may be one of the reasons why the gear is not the popularThere is fair bit of room for improvement in almost every aspect of the app. The app is quite buggy and does not even do a fair job when it comes to the following 1. Syncing old data even from day before 2. Data backup and restore 3. Challenges data upload 4. Import data is not available 5. The support you get is absurd and very user unfriendly It is hard to list any great aspects of the app given that that in the current market the offerings have created expectations which “qualify” apps to be considered for usage. In summary the framework is good but a lot needs to be done in terms of testing prior to introducing new features.Version: 1.11.1

Rubbish app for a great fitness bandThe Samsung health app for IOS is a joke. The app is simply so Samsung can claim IOS compatibility. In reality this app does not work It does not update from gear fit 2 pro. Most of the time the data does not sync and even when it works it never syncs the heart rate. Why is there 2 apps for something so simple. Never buy a Samsung fitnesses product if you have IOS. It just doesn’t work and none of the information integrates with Apple health. I have a $30 Huawei fitnesses band and it works much better in terms of reliability and Apple integration..Version: 1.7.0

Lazy & IncompetentSlow, clunky sync between my Gear Sport and iPhone 8. Zero data is synced with the iOS Health App even though all options are on and finally the App UI is terrible and unintuitive. Why bother Samsung? If you don’t want to play well with Apple products then simply don’t do it. Stop pretending!.Version: 1.14.4

All features are goneThis app used to be a useful app. Now all features are gone..Version: 1.14.7

Regretted getting a Samsung watchI really struggle with this app. I’m an iOS user and had trouble with my old phone iOS phone and now more so with a new iPhone X. As previous comments have mentioned, I have the same issues, Bluetooth works fine, notifications etc come through but Samsung health doesn’t auto update even when it’s set to do so. When I do open and try to manual update sometimes after several times turning Bluetooth on and off on watch and phone it MAY connect but more often than not it will say no wearables connected. I’ve tried everyday, checked permissions to allow etc and no luck. It’s now the 20th may and nothing has synced with Samsung health since the 3rd. I’ve previously lost weeks of data and the longest bike ride I’ve ever done which really sucked! It just doesn’t keep up my motivation when I can’t see my progress Should have stuck with my Fitbit but unfortunately by the time I got to a Samsung service centre, I was declined a return of the watch as it was outside the cooling off period.Version: 1.14.0

Good Monthly CompetitionsI like the monthly step challenges, I would love this app a whole lot more if it would sync with the steps recorded on my Apple Watch. That is the only thing I don’t like though..Version: 1.14.1

IOS problemsSimple things like the scale for pulse rate on the exercise graphs is out of sync. Should be a simple SW fix but after a year nothing has been done? Since iOS 13 update the watch no longer stays connected and needs resetting every day Although the app still loses its connection I have since found that forgetting the device in Bluetooth setup and turning the watch Bluetooth off and shutting it down. Before starting reset the iPhone Bluetooth then starting up the watch and turn its Bluetooth on gets the pairing done again. This works now most times, not great but at least I rarely lose data although I now do regular syncs as well..Version: 1.12.1

Great app but doesn’t sync steps to apple healthI have a watch 3. Samsung health shows steps tracked but those steps don’t sync with apple health even though it’s enabled. What’s odd is the workouts are syncing between the 2 apps.Version: 1.14.6

No details for fitness makes it worthlessMy number one problem...while you can see a nice pretty graph for your workout heart rate data, you can’t get any details at all. Same with steps. Bar graph. Good luck trying to actually figure out how much you walked at a specific time. If it had any other app integration it would help. Apple health, Cardiogram. Either of those would allow you to actually look at your data instead of a couple of general graphs. Love my Galaxy Watch 46mm. However, I’m considering other options due to the limits of this app and my ability to view my data. Update: Samsung Health also had a problem where you couldn’t sync data with an iPhone unless you turned off Bluetooth, went back into galaxy watch app, sync there, then go to Samsung Health. They finally fixed that problem! Sync works again. Of course this happens just after I finally bought another Apple Watch. Couldn’t stand the lack of workout data and the sync problem. Soo long Galaxy Watch..Version: 1.11.1

Lacking featuresWish all the features available within this app on a Samsung device also existed on an iPhone device. Disappointed to see the lack of Samsung Health features on the iPhone: no heartbeat monitor, oxygen monitor, map & photo add-ins while hiking, running, etc, no women’s health monitors, etc..Version: 1.14.6

Has potential but missing basic feauturesI am so frustrated with this app. It’s simple but feels like it’s just under developed compared to the competition (Fitbit). There’s no weight management option that can automatically adjust your calorie target depending on your burned calories from activity that day. There’s no women’s health option. The food tracking doesn’t have a barcode scanner option... I just got a Samsung Active watch which I’m loving, but now am going to have to return it because without these options on the Samsung Health app it’s quite useless. Such a shame Samsung!.Version: 1.14.4

RubbishWhen the app syncs, it takes forever to do it. Ever since the last iOS update, it just doesn’t seem to want to sync at all. Why have it? So now the app doesn’t even sync at all - says there are “no wearable devices connected”, even though it is and sitting next to the phone. Seriously look at fixing this rubbish Samsung!.Version: 1.12.1

Really bad for samsung g3 frontierIts my first time ever writing a review, this app is really really bad. First off, one day when i opened the app, all the data of the previous 3 months were all gone. Can retrieve it back, so have to restart my weight recording. Secondly, when i try to detect the accessory, the app always cannot find my watch. The bluetooth is on, and on my iphone it said the watch is connected to the phone. If the watch is not connected automatically, that means data cant be saved. Thirdly, i tried to sync the data to my samsung account a multiple times, always telling me that syncing fail. I tried with and without wifi, but no change at all. Dont expect anything from this app then you will be fine.Version: 1.8.0

Why does this app require a SIM card???This is installed on a kids phone without a SiM. App design requires a SIM card..Version: 1.14.4

Stop locking users in. Free the data!Since samsung does not get their own health ecosystem sorted, you need to open up. Devices become more and more useless. - Samsung Health app for iPhone has no sync into Strava - Samsung Health app for iPhone can read the Apple Health data, but does not allow to write apple health data Enable the Sync from Samsung Health into Apple Health. This should be a very easy fix and doable within 4 weeks from now. Update: received a mess that claims there is an incompatibility, which is the laziest excuse a developer can give. Go and fix it. Others have got it done as well!.Version: 1.14.4

New update doesn’t workCrashes when opening heart rate data and can no longer review previous days data. Only current day shows up anywhere. Previous version worked fine for over a year which no update.Version: 1.14.7

Good start, room for improvementApp looks good. Quite comprehensive, but is missing some important functions. I’d like to see 1) ability to export and import automatically to other popular fitness trackers. 2) able to add events which are not downloaded or when you forget to take your watch with you. 3) access to the raw data as a csv file. 4) a web app; I prefer seeing things on my 27” monitor..Version: 1.7.0

Too many bugsHave been using the Gear Fit2 Pro with S Health App on iPhone for a month now. I have reported the following issues to tech support: 1. app crashes consistently after a few minutes 2. minutes active are far too high - at 11am it will easily show 241 min active 3. total calories burnt as seen on Watch are no where to be found on app 4. when reviewing feedback regarding these questions, ‘my questions’ don’t consistently show up in the help section of the app (if even I get there before the app crashes again). I’ve never written app reviews before, but the S Health app works extremely poorly on the iPhone. I have (am) seriously considered returning the watch because the app is useless to me. I (for a minimum) need to see: calories burnt per day distance walked per day steps taken per day (though that seems to work) total minutes active per day Since the watch holds all this information, I really have a hard time understanding why the app can’t display this data. I have stopped using the app. I’m on the lookout for updates, hoping these issues will be solved at some point soon, since I do like the watch..Version: 1.2.1

Not compatible with Galaxy WatchI purchased a Galaxy Watch having read that it is compatible with iPhone (although with somewhat reduced functionality.) To discover now that Samsung Health is no longer compatible with the Galaxy Watch is extremely frustrating. It makes no sense to me that the primary health tracking app wouldn’t include the Galaxy Watch. UPDATE In response to the developer’s reply: I do have the Galaxy Watch App installed, but unfortunately the Samsung Health app does not share all information with it. Any workouts tracked on my watch do not transfer to Samsung Health. Nor do steps. The watch connects to the Galaxy Watch app fine, but you can’t use Samsung Health to track your workouts. I’m very frustrated because I like the watch and it’s functionality very much. I just wish that the software supported it in iOS. 2nd UPDATE I response to developer’s reply: I’ve already followed the procedures you lay out to remove, reset, and then reinstall on both my phone and watch. The Galaxy Watch app and the Samsung Health app still do not talk to each other. I see the same issue in many other reviews. It’s frustrating because it makes the watch useless for fitness tracking. I wish the developer would rewrite the app so that Samsung Health would be able to receive the watch information, whether through the Galaxy Watch app or (better yet) directly..Version: 1.14.0

Rarely syncsThe app only syncs with the phone about 10% of the time, except for steps which is almost always up to date. Unfortunately, I am more interested in the heart rate, stress and sleep features, and these almost never sync. When I try to refresh the app by pulling down, it says “no wearable devices connected”, despite the steps being up to date. I regularly have to restart both phone and watch and then open Galaxy Watch up followed by Health app to get them to sync but even this does not always work and is a very frustrating solution. I am mostly happy with the watch itself but the fact it will not sync with my phone via this app is extremely annoying..Version: 1.11.1

Not compatible with Gear S3 and Tizen 3.0.0.2Check out all of the negative feedback in the Samsung Community. The recent update has killed the S3 by reducing battery life from days to less than 1 day. Samsung are ignoring consumers and not acknowledging or addressing the problem. My Samsung Gear is less than 3 days old and getting 14 hours of battery life on a full charge when they advertise 3 to 4 days. No it’s not just me. Check the Community and you will see its a global problem. WAKE UP SAMSUNG AND FIX THE PROBLEM!.Version: 1.7.0

Typical Samsung Rubbish. It didn’t matter what I tried to create a account it just wouldn’t let me. It’s typical of Samsung and these stupid apps that require one to open a account. Especially when one is required to identify those ridiculous riddles at the bottom of the page that are supposed to mean one isn’t a computer but a human. I just gave up in the end out of pure frustration, and UNINSTALLED the app, good riddance. Samsung apps are like their phones over rated, and in case of their phones over priced. IF I COULD AWARD NO STARS I WOULD..Version: 1.13.1

Samsung Watch 4 doesn’t connect with Apple Phone and this app doesn’t either. My Samsung 4 watch doesn’t connect at all to my current Apple phone or this app. It’s unfortunate, models 1-3 would have. (Ps I had a Samsung phone that died and was given a friend’s spare Apple as a stop gap).Version: 1.14.6

Running trainerPlease add coached running for iphone. PLEASE…..Version: 1.14.6

LimitedOne of the only reasons I stick with Apple phones is because of their Health app. It allows me to track my menstrual cycle, fertility, sex, and so many other health features when it comes to women’s health. I wish there was an option or a category for women’s health. There is also a section for health record management. That allows me to manage medications. That’s incredibly helpful for me personally. I feel like if there were these improvements or even options on the app it would help everyone who uses it. I love Samsung products but having these resources are important to me. There are many improvements that can and should be made. I would appreciate knowing if these are possibles and if so when they will take affect..Version: 1.13.0

Useless on IphoneIt’s useless without being able to sync with Apple Health or Fitbit app. All other apps can only read from Apple Health and without the ability to sync with it, just makes the watch useless, worse than my $50 Xiaomi watch..Version: 1.9.0

Come a long wayThis app is great but sometimes has syncing issues, such as if you don’t sync your watch for 2 weeks and but can see see all steps on watch Samsung health internally. It won’t sync to the Samsung health app on your phone..Version: 1.5

Why have features changed? Why doesn’t this app talk to you when you do each kilometre? It used to say how far you have travelled, time, how far to go and keep up you are nearly there..Version: 1.8.0

Still hit and miss syncing Watch to iPhone after a year waiting for updatesI love my Galaxy watch , I also love my iPhone, They don’t like each other much, Constantly switching Bluetooth off and on , rebooting Watch , Samsung health and Galaxy watch app to get them to sync with each other, Even deleted Samsung Health app and reinstalled. This helped for a few days but then back to issues syncing one way or other . Finally get a Samsung Hwalth app update, Happy for 3 days , works properly and syncs. But after that back to not syncing one way or other. I hate the shape of the Apple Watch but it is getting more and more tempting,.Version: 1.14.6

Barcode ScanerThe app itself is working decent so far. I will update if there are any changes. I did switch from a Fitbit to the Galaxy Watch, which requires this app. In doing so, I will have to say I do miss being able to scan my foods. Yes it is a little lazy. However, in this busy world we live in, it makes things go a lot smoother and I’m not spending forever making sure I’m choosing the correct option. As of now that is the only complaint that I have. Well, that and the fact that I learned today that it is not compatible with third party apps, which would solve the problem..Version: 1.14.4

Doesn’t stay connected to watchThis app constantly disconnects from the watch and this is worse since the last update. Any time I want to take a look at my health data, the app says “no wearable device connected” and I have to reboot the watch in order for it to connect and transfer data. Every time now. It is ridiculously inconvenient to the point of defeating the purpose of having a wearable device with a “syncing” app. I understand the limitations of staying connected to a Bluetooth device in the iOS environment, but that’s not really the issue. The frustrating thing is that the app will not recognise the watch on opening the app and a reboot is required for them to talk. I shouldn’t have to reboot the watch every time - it’s absurd. I doubt it’s an issue with connecting to the phone because the Samsung Watch app does not suffer the same issue; it stays connected just fine. This Health app is the problem. I’d give the app four or five stars if it stayed connected as the features are quite good. However, those features are near useless if it will not retrieve the data..Version: 1.14.0

Hopeless appInstalled the app and worked all ok for about a week and just stopped syncing Having check the issue on some support sites its wuite clear this app has issues that have not been fixed. It is not syncing in the background even whem auto sync is on. The phone is connected via blue tooth and even when the watch app confirms connection the heath app says its not. When you do a manual sync it doesn’t appear to be updating heart and stress details either. Hopeless i was hoping this was going to be great because the galaxy watch is so much better than the iwatch 3.Version: 1.6.1

Ok app but needs to be betterReally needs some changes, the main being a proper integration with Apple Health! If you are going to support customers who own a Galaxy Watch but also have an iPhone then you need to support them. It’s not great customer service to make a section of your customers feel like they’re not as important as others..Version: 1.10.1

The Coaches are goneWould be 5 stars if they didn’t take away the voice coach. Really loved that feature. Too bad they decided to just have it on the watch. Greedy bastards..Version: 1.14.4

Features missing and not compatible with Galaxy watch apparentlyOk app, but for some reason Samsung do not want to give iPhone users the same experience as Samsung phone users with loads of features missing (Connected services at least). Commercial decision to try to get iPhone users to change to Samsung phone? Unlikely to work - more likely to lose buyers to Apple Watch. So, Samsung, please give us a full featured app, or lose out to Apple Watch... Downgraded to 1* as I wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work after it stopped, before finding out it is no longer compatible with the Galaxy watch - no warning, just doesn’t appear on the list of compatible devices. Thanks Samsung - that was the last device I will buy from you..Version: 1.13.0

Will not stay connected to Galaxy WatchThis app is rubbish. It continuously looses connection to the Galaxy watch. Feedback from Samsung was to update the watch firmware but the watch app does not give that option on an iPhone. Tried updating firmware on the watch but says 4.0.0.1 is the latest. Current firmware is 4.0.0.4. Get your act together Samsung..Version: 1.10.0

No sync to apple healthThis is an all that is supposed to be the go between from a Samsung watch to iPhone but data does not get passed from Samsung health to apple heath. Not only that but you can’t use the contact is functionally and when that fails you can’t send system errors as ..... you guessed it it doesn’t work. Probably the worst app I have come across, it is the sole reason for me thinking about sending my Samsung watch back and going back to an Apple Watch, Samsung just seem to be miles behind in terms of wearable products..Version: 1.9.0

Calories Burned Tracking MissingI started using this app with my new Gear Fit 2 Pro. Having spent a few days living with this setup it feels like I’m missing something. On my fit 2 band i have access to a metric showing total daily calories burned which includes sedentary burn and any exercise that you do that day. The app doesn’t show this figure from what i can tell, therefore there’s no way to see calories burned against calories consumed (the food logging and nutrition part in this app is excellent by the way). With weight loss as a goal this is a key metric to log and track over time in order to tailor your food and exercise plan. Seems like a glaring omission, unless I’m missing something..Version: 1.2.1

Apple block GPS for this appSeems like Apple blocks the GPS traking for this one. Always when running do not save the route. It's a mess. Changing to strava.Version: 1.14.4

Love the hardware, hate the iOS softwareI absolutely love my Samsung Gear S2 Classic. I love it so much that it is the only watch I wear now. It has replaced a Bulova as my casual watch, and a Rotary as my work watch (I have different straps for it). It is the perfect size (unlike most smart watches) and the battery lasts a week. I love it so much I may buy a second one for when it gets discontinued! Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the iOS app. The original app that came bundled within Samsung Gear S was totally useless, so I was quite happy when this update came out. But guess what? It doesn’t work with my watch! The crappy old one does, the better new one doesn’t. How does it even make sense to release an app that does not work with probably the best smart watch hardware (pound for pound) that Samsung has released? Beats me....Version: 1.3.0
