✓ The new layoutThe new linear layout was very unnecessary. I wish there was a way to go back to the old layout because I didn’t have to think about what plant to use EACH time. It doesn’t look like a garden anymore. It’s just rows of plants and trees. Hate it..Version: 3.6.1
✓ Garden changes are awful.New linear garden is terrible. I’m trying to minimize distractions and now I have to pick a plant every time I start a timer or else it looks terrible. That’s just adding a distraction and wasting time. Plus the spacing is all weird and it just doesn’t look good anymore no matter what you plant. ✓ Would’ve been 5* until yesterdayAmazing app, help put it on when doing revision for my a levels to try not get distracted but still allows you to pause when u want (which still goes away from ur focus time (I like that)) If needed e.g mum called etc. I was on stage 16 and had spent well over 70 hours on the app until I woke up yesterday went on it, it timed me out & logged me out and now is saying when I go to use the same email and password (as used Sign In with Apple) that something went wrong and won’t allow me in. Losing all the stages and plants and plan I had set on the app, when yesterday my intentions for logging on was to buy the subscription service so I was even more dedicated to using it and keeping focus. Is my account lost? What and where do I go from here? Hope this hasn’t happened to others….Version: 3.2.19
✓ Bring back the old Flora!I preferred the app before the recent update. I am not happy with the new garden. It does not bring the same amount of fulfillment and satisfaction as the old garden did; it was fun to see your garden expand and grow into a beautiful variety of colours and plants. Although you have the option of changing the plant type to achieve only a fraction of the mosaic the old garden represented, this just starts to feel tedious and frankly not worth eating away from your productivity. I miss seeing the end of week hours automatically summarized in your feed. I do not like manually entering the previous week into my calendar to view my garden and hours of focus time. It feels like Flora has actually regressed in terms of how user-friendly it is. The app’s purpose of productivity but inefficient design doesn’t make sense to me. ✓ Great except but could be exceptional ifFor some reason when tree is finished with planting I don’t get a notification? Or I do get a banner but there’s no sound to indicate so, so I’d need to check my phone to see if the time’s up. Would definitely prefer if there was a sound option to indicate that a tree has finished planting. (Past review: - Make an option for whitelisting apps that you may need to use while doing work/study! As not everything on the phone is a distraction, some things need to be used/accessed during productive times too (e.g. phone notes) If this is fixed, I’ll be able to use the app in more scenarios! Thank you! - Another idea is creating the option to create a list of different whitelisted combinations, and apply them individually to the specific goals we’re working on. - would be fantastic).Version: 2.5.2

✓ I dislike avocados nowI think this app is great, however I can only seem to plant the Persea americana, or more commonly referred to as the avocado. While I have been known to enjoy a fresh slice of the fruit from time to time, I do not want to see it after completing 3 hours of studious work. Every single time. At first it would plant a whole array of flora, but now, only avocados. This would not seem like a problem to the average person, however seeing the sliced green avocado multiple times a day can be quite taxing. My garden looks very bare as my army of avocados are very small, and not very mighty. My point is it is very demoralising when all my hard work is paid back in avocados. Just yesterday I started to get the symptoms. Hand shaking as I waited to ‘see my tree’. Will it be an avocado… yes. Of course. A tear rolled down my cheek. I am developing an irrational fear of avocados (or at this point it is probably rational). I can’t even look at guacamole anymore. I ask you to help me get over my fear of avocados and please allow me to plant a different species of tree..Version: 3.6.1
✓ Used to be GoodThis app was amazing and I never had any issues with it. Now, my trees are randomly dying. I’ll come back to my phone after the selected period of time and I have received a notifications that I killed my tree. They also randomly start growing sometimes after I press start (I start a session and the time instantly goes down to 0 and the tree has grown). I really hope these issues can be fixed soon or I will be using a different app..Version: 3.0.2
✓ Nice butI like the aesthetics of the app, the planting theme and that I can assign focus periods to to-do tasks. I feel like it’s severely lacking instructions/a tutorial though. I have been using the app for 2 days and still don’t understand the concept of the trees, world tour, prizes, etc and how they all fit together. I also accidentally deleted a to-do task and could not find a way to bring it back. Also, I don’t like that I don’t receive a notification when the focus period ends and the break starts. I only receive a notification when the break ends and focus period starts. It feels like it’s lacking customization options or that they are hidden away somewhere I haven’t been able to locate yet? ✓ Over all a good app but some glitches here and there …I generally enjoy the experience of the app but there are minor glitches that are somewhat annoying. One that is bothersome in particular is when the trees planted in the previous week are still showing up well into the following week’s garden. It makes it very difficult to have a visually accurate representation of the work done and can thus become very overcrowded. Apart from this, there is the occasional crashes and the glitches of the screen not operating when taping on the seed thus having to restart the app. Overalls it’s a good app but fixing these minor bugs would be amazing and would fully optimise the experience with this app..Version: 3.5.4
✓ Great concept, but waaay too many bugsHave been using this app over the past few days for my revision, and found it to be very motivating. Now for the bugs: * feed taking >20seconds to load sometimes, or not loading at all * friends from friends list sometimes vanishing all at once and then reappearing sometime later * periods of time when I am unable to stay logged for more than a minute before my “session has timed out” - log in again and the same happens in a loop * photos of sessions that have been uploaded successfully then disappearing a few minutes later * friends being displayed as focussing on 4 different sessions simultaneously These issues combined make navigating and using the app soo much more painful and annoying than it could be. I will continue trying to sign in to my account, and I hope that these bugs will be fixed soon. A few suggestions for enhancements to the app too: * add notification that stays on the Lock Screen (like the iOS timer feature used to have) that updates and shows how much time is remaining in the focus session * allow user to change which tree the focus session plants after it has been completed as well as before it is started.Version: 3.5.3

✓ Facebook mandateFlora is a great app and concept, I’m not sure if this or Forest: stay focused, came first but either way I appreciate the idea and the fact that this app is free makes it accessible. It truly does help my workflow. However the face that you HAVE to log in with a Facebook account is annoying and frankly a huge turn off to a lot of users, especially those in the 16-24 range I imagine. If the app wants folx to plant seeds together consider looking into airplay compatibility or simply generating share codes for long distance collaboration. Finally and this is a minor note, I used one other app similar to this and one of the touches I appreciated was as you racked up more time you unlocked different plants and could get an overview of your ‘garden.’ Perhaps integrating these features would veer to close to a copy right infringement. I’m not sure. But overall flora gets the job done it’s highly customisable in terms of time and relatively intuitive; though I will say returning to the planting screen after finishing a session isn’t the smoothest transition. 3/5 keep going !.Version: 2.3.3
✓ I Hate The New Update.I used to love being able to rearrange my garden however due to the linear nature of the new update my garden looks odd and all the plants i’ve grown in previous months have grouped so they look very odd. I like the big garden idea but please change it back to i can rearrange my garden again. Also, I find that the app can be extremely laggy and tends to kill my trees quite a few times when it shouldn’t do. For example, I will allow some apps to be used whilst having a flora timer on then i use those apps for a minute or so and when i come back i find my tree has been killed despite the app being approved by flora? Whenever I report these issues on the app they are never resolved. Another issue with the new update is I’m unable to see the time i’ve spent studying on previous weeks I can only see the total time i have spent on the current week or in a whole year. ✓ Keeps killing my trees :(Flora genuinely helps me study, and for that I'm grateful. However, sometimes I'll grow a tree, and get a notification it's grown up, and think 'yay great'. But if i don't open the app up before I then close it through iOS (when you swipe all the apps off to go to bed for example), it tells me I killed the tree the next time I open it up, even if I didn't leave the room during growing. A few times this has happened and lost me really nice new trees I wanted for my garden - I know it's not important in the grand scheme of the world but it's annoying and making me like Flora less. If you could fix this it'll be up in ratings for sure! PS. study tip, if you like Flora, it works well alongside "cold turkey" for your laptop 👍🏼.Version: 3.2.12

✓ Idk what’s happening.....So I got this app literally TODAY. My sister recommended it to me and said it is a great app. So I downloaded it. I got some work done with it and it really does help me. But then after I completed my second session of using the app, it wouldn’t load anything. Then after not doing anything, it randomly took me through the tutorial. I was so confused because I had already made an account and gone to through the tutorial already. Then when I go to check my account, it has no info. No name, no email. So I log out. Every time I go to log in it just stops at the same page. It says something about needing to put in my email again to verify. I put in my email and then I press verify. NOTHING HAPPENS. I go to press verify again and the same thing. I have tried going through the “Continue With Google “ and I have done the “Continue With Email” and both of them end up on the same thing. I have no idea how to fix it. It seems like a great app (I have read your reviews) but I can’t seem to be able to log in to use it..Version: 3.0.5
✓ Wrongfully killing my trees.The app itself is quite helpful, however there is one problem with it that is EXTREMELY annoying. Whenever i click the pause button to quickly check something on another app, when i return to flora it says that “I” killed the tree, despite the fact i clicked the pause button (which is supposed to pause the timer and allow you to exit the flora app without killing the tree). This is rather annoying as i may have been focused for 2 hours then all my progress is lost even though i clicked the “pause” button- can you even call it that??? This has happened numerous times and i am on the verge of deleting the app as it is getting rather frustrating. I really think flora could be a great app if this problem were to be fixed. ✓ Erm..This app has gone so downhill 😭😭 1. My weekly stats haven’t updated for weeks, and lots of other people have had this issue so that means it’s a problem with you that you haven’t sorted out yet, which is quite annoying because it’s a useful feature that i now can’t use 2. The app has been quite glitchy recently- and this isn’t a problem with my phone because flora is the only app that’s been really slow 3. Where have the weekly updates gone??? I really don’t like just having the big garden, could you please add the weekly feature back on, as well as the big garden because it’s just so annoying and a lot harder to keep track and compare my study hours between weeks 4. I’ve seen them be sent like twice in the whole time I’ve had this app, even though scheduled to receive them every day at 6pm, and they are also completely inaccurate and never work properly!! ✓ Good concept but the app is borderline unusableI love flora and have been using it for a year now (especially to help me keep track of how much work i'm doing each day) but the app has recently become so glitchy that it's difficult to use. They perform "maintenance on their servers" almost every day which takes the app offline and prevents you from seeing your garden or what your friends are doing, if you have them. I have the whitelist enabled and it frequently happens that when I come back onto the app after using one of my enabled apps my tree has died. I also often have to close and reopen the app multiple times for my story, my garden and my friends leaderboard to refresh/load in the first place and even then they sometimes say they're simply unable to load. It's a shame as the concept of the app is great and it has actually massively improved my productivity!.Version: 3.5.3

✓ Would be five stars, hate subscription changeI really liked flora. I'd bought the 24hr tree purchase for a year for around $15, and I was quite happy to do so. But now it's changed to a subscription service, which is really disappointing because it's to the point where its a bit unaffordable. You can't pay through apple ID credit either, and instead must use apple pay/credit card since it's subscription. ✓ Couple bugsPros: really does help me and my sister to focus on our work together and overall a really helpful app with lots of nice features. The all around the world feature is by far my favourite as well as the group planting aspect. Very helpful app overall if you just want to get off you phone. Cons: there are a couple bugs which I feel need to be addressed. One is that sometimes when logging in with Facebook it’ll say the login isn’t associated with a account but opening the page in safari seems to let you log in as normal. Another con is the fact that it’s Facebook only but I understand that the team is looking at adding more options soon so it’s not that big a deal. Just a small feature I would like is for me to see on my lock screen the time remaining as a notification so that I don’t have to unlock my phone but that’s just a nitpick. Overall: the app works great and gets the job done. Obviously there are downsides which many people see as having a big impact, but personally if you don’t mind using an old Facebook or making a throwaway one, it helps a lot and I would highly recommend..Version: 2.3.3
✓ Good, but a bit buggyI love how this app encourages me to put down my phone and keep my hands off for a time. Also, a recent update lets me plant while offline. And of course it’s cool that o can plant a real tree with a donation. However, there are still a lot of bugs in the basic functions. If I plant offline and then turn the WiFi on, or vice versa, the finished plant doesn’t show up in my garden. And if I open the app while offline, it often gives me a login page that requires me to turn the WiFi on again and log in via Facebook - which I’m usually not willing to do at that point, since my goal was to get OFF the phone and internet. Strangely, when I come back to the app with the internet on, later, it doesn’t require me to log in again, but goes straight to the planting screen. I really don’t think an app about putting down your phone should require any login, internet, or other special steps to use unless the user requests to make it a social event for that particular time. ✓ In intention is good but the system froze!I love the idea of this App and has been using it for a while. But recently it became weird!! When I finished my last three sessions, the App wouldn’t stop and the timer automatically counted on. I.e. after the 25-min session I set up, instead of stopping immediately and let me see the tree, the timer counted on beyond 25:00 non-stopping. And there’s no function to click to stop it. The most recent one I let it count on to 40 minutes and decided to shut the App and I got a dead plant instantly. Sad and disappointing at this stage..Version: 3.5.1

At the moment I don’t have enough to cover all of the subjects that I would like to, meaning I have to combine two subjects together under one title. ✓ Does not work well on iPadThe app auto quits on iPad even if I don’t touch my iPad at all for the duration and ends up killing my tree. I’ll leave my iPad alone for three hours and when I unlock my iPad I’m suddenly on my home screen and when I come back to the app my tree is dead. Quite frustrating when I’ve actuallt been using the app right and want to see my nice little forest growing rather than a profile full of dead trees. Also the app does not tell me when my tree has grown or warn me if I accidentally quit the app (even though these work fine on my iPhone) though I have notifications switched on..Version: 2.5.19
