Flora - Green Focus for Positive User Reviews

Super helpfulThis app keeps me in check with assignments and getting my work done for uni thanks!.Version: 3.2.8

Love it for StudyingFlora has really helped me stay focussed while studying. I'd heard about Forest as a pomodoro app but I didn't want to pay, but Flora is a great free alternative. If you leave the app with a timer on for more than a few seconds, your plant will die. And somehow that actually does trick your brain into not looking at your phone! I mean, I don't want my plants to die! I love that you can set tasks and tag them to your timers, and add pictures. I also really like how they have different 'tours' where you can unlock different plants to grow 🌱 All in all it's definitely a useful app to have to stop you getting distracted when studying or working!.Version: 3.2.12

Great App!! Just ONE thing..Hi Flora Team! I am a student and I have been using Flora for a while now! I think it’s such a great app! I love the Grand Tour and going to new places and I love the idea of the plants growing on your home page!! If you could, sometimes I kill a tree unintentionally by clicking off my screen to do something work-related on the internet. If there is a way to allow certain apps to be used during the timer (obviously work-related one’s) then that would be so much help!! Again, the app is so good and really nice for less fortunate people to be help through the app, as well as the ability to plant trees in real life! I also really enjoy the ability to plant with friends as my sister and I are able to work together now! Thanks for making the app!!.Version: 3.5.3

LOVEThis little app works wonders for my ADHD brain. Pure stress of possibly killing a fake tree gives me the anxiety fuelled motivation to actually study..Version: 3.5.1

Really helpful appWas really nervous about starting college after being out of high school over 4 years, but this app has been super helpful. The iPhone was just starting to hit major popularity when I was in middle school/high school, but the temptation was not nearly as bad, then. I can’t pinpoint why I care so much about planting tiny little virtual trees and why it helps, but it does. I have encountered one small thing that I’m not sure if it is an error or glitch, but this entire week, I haven’t been able to grow anything but sequoia trees and I have been in 94/95% what feels like all week, despite putting in nearly 10 hours of focus. Really loving this app and would love to continue using it, but would like more than just a forest of sequoias 😅.Version: 3.2.8

(Edited review) Absolutely Ridiculous sign up processSo below is my original review but after a long time of trying I managed to sign in; I had to mash the “continue as Luke” button because it just wouldn’t work, eventually after pressing a random spot on the screen it decided to finally work. This app seems nice but a lot of my friends also don’t have Facebook so it’s not ideal for sharing. The concept is good so I’ll give it a real try now but it will be a lot better once they fix the sign up process and add more options. Old review: This app seems like it really would be great... if you could actually get into the app! Now first of all the Facebook log in only is a bit pathetic but that doesn’t in of itself necessarily elicit a 1 star review right off the bat but couple that with the fact that once I downloaded my old account back it still wouldn’t let me log in it’s nothing short of ridiculous -.- If I somehow manage to get access I’ll certainly change my review in the future but currently I’m lost as to how poor the sign up system is I really am.Version: 2.5.19

Great app- recently buggyI love this app. A great way for me to focus on study and interests me in seeing what the next tree is going to be. I overall have spent around 350 hours on it, definitely more than I would have studied without it. However, recently it’s been glitching on me. I’ve gone to see how much long I have and then it will suddenly show that I have killed my tree. If I was actually on my phone I would understand it but I open the app straight from the Lock Screen. It gets irritating after doing hour long trees all for nothing. Don’t know how I can fix it but I would really appreciate if I could learn how to avoid it..Version: 3.5.4

Great app—for phone addictsIf you can’t stay off your phone and need to get other things done, then I highly recommend Flora. It’s motivating (I recommend opting into Flora Care for the motivation of planting REAL trees!). Unfortunately, I wish there were a Flora version for us lazy ones who don’t have a phone addiction issue. I simply procrastinate a lot. I’ve found Flora is a great motivator, but the problem is that many of the things I’m procrastinating about are phone calls I need to make. That this is geared for the phone addict crowd limits its usefulness as an aid for those who are simply habitual procrastinators. It’s the reason I’m now looking at other apps to try to fit my need to be able to get things done when they sometimes require phone use. I would recommend Flora either put out other Pomodoro-style apps or open up availability to other uses, which would help people like me as well as likely expand their consumer base. But as an app to keep you off the phone and motivate you, this app deserves FIVE stars. Areas where it could be improved: Better tutorial and FAQ. I have had to email the developer a couple times for answers to what would seem like basic questions yet aren’t covered adequately in their tutorial or FAQ. The developer has been very friendly and responsive, btw..Version: 3.2.2

Would be Perfect with a Few ImprovementsHonestly I love this app. It’s helped me focus on my studies so much more! However I think an option where you could allow for certain apps not to count would be great, or if they had an in-app searching feature, because my only complaint would be that it’s quite irritating if I want to google something work-related quickly but I can’t go off the app without my tree dying. I use my laptop if it’s there in front of me but it would be a waste of time to go and find it if not. I tend to use the “break” feature, but it really is less than ideal. Other than that, absolutely fantastic! I would wholeheartedly recommend it..Version: 2.5.19

Amazing…But it could be even betterI really love this app!! It has been extremely helpful for me since I can get very easily distracted by my phone. It’s helped me stay on top of schoolwork this semester. That being said, when I first downloaded it the first week I got a couple different types of trees but for the past three months the only thing that has grown is blueberries. This isn’t that big of a deal. The app still does what it is supposed to. But I think it would be a lot more fun for me and I would use it even more if I actually got a different plant every time because then I would look forward to the “reward” at the end of focusing. I don’t know if this just a bug with my app specifically or if I’m only supposed to grow blueberries. I will still use the app it would just be more fun/useful with other things growing. :).Version: 3.2.12

Good yet FrustratingI do like the incentive to put down the phone & focus, BUT there are two main problems. First, it is dificult to navigate the "grand tour" because it MANDATES that you get a friend to play, and some of us don't like to prosyletize our apps (or "play" with friends in this way). Since I didn't invite a friend to play with me, it just stpped progressing, which was quite depressing. Second, sometimes the app stopped counting down when my iPhone went to black screen. So I'd be focusing for 50 minutes, and over an hour later I'd check my phone (why don't I have a tree yet?) and the countdown clock would be at 48:33. I found that I had to keep the screen live the whole time sometimes just to get it to actually countdown - which was beyond annoying and really undermined the entire purpose of the focus app which is, after all, to focus AWAY from the phone. That glitch seemed to be fixed when I restarted everything, but still, quite annoying..Version: 2.3.0

Best AppI have a deeply rooted procrastination problem with my main procrastination tool being my phone (games or social media). I found it very hard to force myself not to go on my phone when I have work to do and i found myself even more often on my phone when I had work to do. This app- apart from being adorable- makes me wanna put my phone in a box and throw it out the window just to ensure that my little plant doesn’t die cuz of my procrastination issue. So far I managed to kill two plants one of which was because I received a phone call which I found a bit annoying- this time it wasn’t me I swear!- otherwise really helped me get some work done! Thank whoever had this brilliant idea 🙏🏻.Version: 3.2.0

Absolute lifesaver!I’m someone who always used to get distracted by things on my phone whilst studying but flora has helped become so productive it’s actually unreal! It’s increased my focus and seeing how much other people are spending revising can also be so motivating! Just a few tips though, it’s be cool if you could add anyone on flora not just people in your contacts so you can connect with new people who have a similar work ethic to you! Also perhaps more free tours could be made like a tour in space!? & Maybe a world leaderboard with lots of different awards and achievements can be created! Brilliant app though and I definitely recommend it! 😊💕.Version: 3.5.3

Love it!! Have one fun idea??This app is so great for studying ;) I’m not sure how much it helps with motivation, there are of course some days where no amount of motivation can make me do work However the simple design and social networking makes it very engaging and rewarding after a task. I feel much better knowing a simple statistic of exactly how much I studied and what I studied every day. Side note: I was wondering if a “day” could be extended beyond 12 am? Sometimes I work until 12:30 am or 1 am It’s really insignificant compared to the great variety and software itself; just a small thing Idea/Suggestion? My idea was to program the plants to be a little bigger (or taller) if the task took a longer period of time or if I stayed focused without pressing pause I feel like it would be very cool to have a baby plant for 10 min task and a super huge one for a 2 hour task XD Thank you to the people who made this wonderful app for making it simple, engaging, free, and actually helpful for the environment with the trees.Version: 3.5.1

Add a timeline!I really love this app! This is a wonderful addition to my work environment and keeps me off my phone and helps boost my productivity so much. I think it is quite sad though that the plants just disappear from the garden after a while, because eventually the weeks get deleted. I think a great addition would be an optional forever garden/forest where its a collection of all the plants you have ever grown, whether this is a timeline or a visual representation or simply a catalogue of which plants you have grown how many times! I think if you decided to implement this feature Flora, that you should definitely make it optional because otherwise people might struggle with storage issues. However, some people have loads of free storage and i think it would make this app perfect in my opinion. Thank you for taking the time to read this..Version: 3.4.0

Love it!I am a student who has literally no motivation to ever work. I’m always procrastinating or daydreaming, but somehow, flora has actually been able to make me want to work, even sometimes wish I had more work to contribute to my garden..Version: 3.5.3

Great app!I have struggled to keep my focus in school, especially with all the distractions like social media I find my mind drifting and hours passing like minutes as I scroll, but Flora has helped me slow time down and stay focused on my tasks in such a cute way!! I love my trees and killing them is so disheartening so it keeps you motivated on stay on task!! I will definitely be telling all my friends about this app!! 🌳🌳.Version: 3.6.1

Great appOverall I like how I am unable to enter other apps and my Home Screen when my tree is growing however once I forgot I had a tree growing and it died. Kinda sad, I wish I could remove the negativity from my page so I don’t have to look at it every day. That’s the consequence though, so I’ll do better next time. I would like to see COMPLETED button while my tree is planting because I complete my work before the timer is done but I guess that’s not how it works..Version: 3.0.2

Love ItHelps me focus so much! I like learning about what plants come from which areas and seeing my garden grow. I also find the fee option really motivating and useful. I’m on the lowest subscription so every 48 hours they claim to plant a real tree as well which is really cool. Just provides even more motivation for me. I really like this app. Some of the UI/UX is a bit clunky and could be improved but quite good overall..Version: 3.2.14

Helps me stay away from my phone!I’m going to be real, I really enjoy this app. It makes me feel terrible to kill a tree, so I can focus more instead on getting assignments/studying done. I also like how you can categorize the time you spend not on your phone- I use it to keep track of how many hours I’ve worked/studied for each of my classes, and it helps me balance out the hours for each subject! There are a few bugs though, sometimes when I set a timer and turn off my phone, the app will stop, and refresh. Then the timer will be completed, even though it is not. It gives me free time on the app, but I didn’t actually earn those minutes. I think another feature that would add to the experience, could be a log of each week’s total hours. I know you can scroll through your feed to see it, but if you did a lot of sessions, scrolling can take a while to see these summed up. Overall, would recommend!.Version: 2.5.12

Saviour!Honestly has helped me so much with my schoolwork, i like being able to see how much work i’ve done each week. I especially love the surprise of what new plant im going to get! The addition of the garden is so cute and so motivating!! Do not know what i would do without this app..Version: 3.2.10

Love it!I have used Pomodoro timer for a while but sometimes found it demotivating because I need more than 25mins to finish the task and though my alarm went off I just continued doing the job. Flora app not only is flexible to allow me to put in different focus durations, but also provides me great motivations! Currently I am on a “global tour” to grow different plants in my garden. The more focused I am (without using my phone, the more flourished my garden is). What a great incentive! Love the app and the mission behind it. Hope everyone get to build the focused habit and also help grow more real trees in the world!.Version: 3.1.2

Great! After just two days of using this app, I can finally say I have found a tool that actually helps me focus. I love the incentive of planting trees, it is an incentive outside myself which is more motivating than a cup of coffee. I feel that with each plant added to my personal garden I am working to make a difference! The reason I didn’t give this app a 5 star rating is the lack of alarm when the goal has been met. It doesn’t seem to have one (or I just can’t find it). I like to break up my tasks in smaller increments which this app does wonderfully, but it doesn’t alert me to when I need to take a break or switch to a new task. Ultimately, I have found myself working for an hour instead of 25 minutes (who CJ is GREAT, don’t get me wrong), but it also doesn’t show a true reflection of my focus and doesn’t show me true progress toward my goal. I’d love to have the option for a notification. (If it’s there, please point me in the right direction!)..Version: 2.5.19

Pros far outweigh the consIt’s simple, it’s cute and it seems to be making a real difference in the world. Subscription is cheap but not necessary at roughly £2 a month with different levels if you’re able to pay more. I don’t really have friends that would use this with me, but it’s still very enjoyable and satisfying! You get to travel round the world unlocking different trees/plants, each with achievable requirements to push you to be more focused. The only con for me is not being able to choose apps that you’re allowed to use while growing a plant, I read through the Kindle app a lot and I’m not able to log my full reading time without killing a tree because when you leave the app it counts as you getting distracted. I know the developers have mentioned adding a feature that allows this though, and it’s definitely not going to stop me from using the app 🥰.Version: 3.3.2

My Opinion on Flora.Flora is a great app. It’s helped me with focusing a lot more than I used to. I love how it features lots of different plants and even flowers from around the world. I also love how you can make your own little garden with the plants that you have grown. Another great feature is that you can plant real trees as you focus. Whilst this is a subscription and I don’t want to pay anything, this is a great idea for helping plant more trees. I only have this four stars though as I feel like a part of this app defeats the point. When I go out of the app my plant isn’t affected by my time out of the app. I feel a great addition would be to make it so that when you go out of the app it affects your plant’s growth. I think this would make people focus more as it stops you from doing something on your phone when you are supposed to be focusing. Other than that this app is great and I highly recommend it!.Version: 3.3.2

Amazing!!Flora is my favourite app for studying and staying off my phone. It is now a necessity for my studying! I have recommended it to all my friends it is the cutest app and a great way to focus!.Version: 3.4.0

Bring back total hoursI love flora and use it often but since the update I can’t see how many hours in total I’ve used on the app over the last few years and that was what kept me motivated. Please bring this function back! Update: Flora has informed me that they will bring total hours back in a future update which is fantastic, fingers crossed it’s not too far in the future!.Version: 3.0.1

Exactly what you’re looking forSomething to focus. something to plan. able to collaborate and support your friends, growing trees together. OPTION to support the wondrous cause of replenishing the earth all while also being able to hold yourself to REAL accountability. the concept is phenomenal and you really have to try yourself. it’s simple. it doesn’t have all the unnecessary extra things, and it doesn’t hound you to pay for subscriptions or add-ons, but you’ll probably end up loving the app and its mission so much you’ll want to help yourself more and them. The message from Flora is clear. Flora wants to help not only YOU succeed, they want to help the planet. The app is admirable and definitely worth exploring if you NEED more accountability and focus. The most difficult thing for me was just OPENing the app and FOCUSing. it’s just you. just use the app, focus and make your dreams come true. if I can do it, so can YOU. CHASE YOU DREAMS this is just a tool to help you there, may you never be the same friends !!.Version: 3.5.5

Perfect for the forever procrastinator/ADHDAbsolutely love this app, it has got my through some extremely challenging study periods by providing that incentive and motivation I needed to keep me on track with progress I could actually see in the form of a pretty garden. However after using it for 400+ hrs it has started to lose its spark and I need something new to get me excited to use it - I have been desperately waiting years now for another tour, I beg you please please please make more tours!!!! I’ve sent you so many suggestions - coral reef, Australian natives, succulents/cacti, carnivorous, fruit/veg…. I also love that you can use flora care to plant real trees as a positive motivator. It would also be great to be able to see how many trees I’ve planted so far! It has been glitchy in the past (crashing and killing trees that I hadn’t killed etc) which has been problematic when I’ve put a price on the tree and then been charged - not sure if this is still the case (as I have lost the motivation to use it without new trees), however you can report these instances to the app and usually get money back..Version: 3.5.5

A great way to reduce screen time!I have ADHD and get twitchy and anxious if I don’t have something going on. It’s too easy to get my stimulation needs met by mindlessly scrolling through social media or playing dumb phone games for hours rather than doing something productive. Do I really like wasting my time doing that? Nope. Do I feel guilty about it? Definitely! So, I open Flora and “plant” a seed. I don’t want to kill the tree (even though it’s digital, I would feel as guilty as I do when I accidentally kill my real plants), so I’m not on my phone and I have to resort to doing the housework I put off (bleh) to keep from getting restless. Now I have a cute forest on my phone AND a cleaner home! Win-win! Plus there’s a variety of trees to plant so I don’t get bored of growing the same thing over and over. I wish I had this app years ago!.Version: 3.2.8

Needs some fixesI love the concept behind this app, but I’ve experienced some problems with it in the past. For example, there are times when I spend 40-90 minutes studying and once the timer is up, I’m directed toward a “connection failure” menu even when I’m connected to the Internet. This screen will not disappear until I close and refresh the app, which prevents me from earning the time spent on my different goal trackers. At times, when I open the app after the timer goes off, there are messages saying that one of my tress was killed, even when my phone remained untouched the whole time. It would also be helpful if there was a “0 minutes” mark when planting a tree for when people want to focus for exactly one or two hours. Maybe you could also add minutes that are not just multiples of five for those that need to concentrate for a very specific amount of time. This last point is not a flaw but something I would like to see in the app. As a busy student, I like to keep track of multiple aspects of my life, and I would like this app to have more than just six goal trackers if it were possible. It would be truly beneficial as there are some aspects of my life I’d like to monitor too besides my six main ones. This app has helped me a lot in concentrating on my homework and studying during the summer and with some fixes, it could be even better..Version: 2.4.1

WonderfulHelps with concentration, can plant eith friends, tours, so many different plants.... feedback team so helpful. 10/10 would recommend.Version: 3.2.8

Best Productivity App Ever! One thing for me was that it was very difficult for me to motivate myself to study over the past few years. Productivity apps like these helped me to actually enjoy studying - incredible right?!? - and feel more inclined to achieve higher marks. I’ve used the app Forest before, but being a student who uses free versions of every app - literally! - I felt disappointed that their new update has led to such greed on money. Flora has enabled me to indulge even in the littlest moments in life and make it more organised and procrastination-free. One improvement for the app is try and keep the work screen to be as clean as possible. It would be better if the timer was bigger and more and also show the plant that we have decided to grow..Version: 3.2.2

Effective!I really love this app; it’s helped me be so productive, haha. It’s simple but works really well. The Grand Tour feature is also really cool! Plus, I like how you can set goals and how many hours you want to focus on the goal, although it would be nice to be able to reset the goals like every week or something. Another idea is maybe to have an option where you can silence notifications from other apps while planting a tree, because I know those lock screen text notifications can be very tempting, haha. Also, it would be cool if a timer could be added to your phone’s lock screen while planting so you know how much time you have left. Or maybe a widget. Finally, I think there’s a glitch of what plants I planted? When I planted one orange, it somehow duplicated and replaced other existing plants so now I have three oranges instead of the just one orange that I planted. I don’t mind that much though, since it still looks very nice, haha. Overall, I love the concept of this app and how it lets me channel my inner focus!.Version: 2.3.5

Great app, a few suggestionsLove the app, super helpful but since the newest update there have been some bugs. the weekly stats no longer update every week, instead they only show the week before the update. also the goal progress bars no longer show? it just always says 0mins no matter what hope these can be addressed, other than that the app is super helpful for revision edit: the bugs have been fixed since the new update, but i can i suggest a few small improvements?? it would be really useful if the data would show hours and minutes (i.e 1hr 30 instead of 1.5hrs). also the graph of weekly and monthly data is a little confusing, there are 3 lines per 2 hours which makes it difficult to read, 2 or 4 would be a lot clearer. alternatively, there could be a way to click on the bars for a day or month and have it show the focus time. a colour gradient would also be a clearer way to show the monthly stats, the different shades of blue are quite confusing thanks!.Version: 3.6.3

One of my favorite appsPleasant and easy to use.Version: 3.6.2

Game changer!I have ADHD and have always struggled with focusing like most of us do in general. I’ve tried so many techniques to focus but nothing ever seems that effective. I’ve tried to delete apps but I’ll just redownload them or get distracted on the lamest apps just to avoid my work. This app has helped me be conscious about picking up my phone when I should be working and it helps me keep track of time. The best part is helping the planet! I always want to do more and be a humanitarian or some kind but that can be difficult as a college student with a job. I paid the $10 so I can do as much good for the earth while doing the same for myself. I also like this app personally more than forest or other apps because you have the ability to grow more irl trees. I just started this app this week and it’s already helped a lot!! Thank you!.Version: 3.1.1

GAME CHANGERHonestly, I struggle with staying focused and off my phone to get things done. This app has helped me so much with just getting started with my work, which goes a long way. Also, working in 30 minute intervals on one task at a time is much more manageable (and effective) than a blank 3 hour block of time. Another reason I love this app is I love plants, and it is very satisfying having a cute little plant and eventually garden to look at after you have gotten some work done. It is very motivating to stay focused because if you mess up and get off task, this app tells you that you just KILLED a little tree. I don’t want to kill any trees (real or metaphorical) and I also love the fact that it plants real trees in the world. Overall this app is very visibly pleasing, useful, and simple. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone..Version: 3.2.10

Flora - Honest ReviewI really quite like this app and the idea of it is very clever. Whenever I need to study, I put my headphones and music on and set a timer for how long I want to study for. I also get the option for a break ranging from 3-30 minutes. I often choose 1 hour study with 10 minute break. I also like the idea how if you go on your phone or pause the timer you loose break time. The reason I gave Flora 4 stars and not 5 is because there are a few things that could be added but they are only minor. Overall, highly recommend Flora as it gets used a lot by me and im sure you would use it a lot. This app is free and a good option if you don’t want to spend money on a similar app which costs. :).Version: 3.3.2

Great interface and featuresBeautiful colourful interface. Cool features on tasks but lack of clarity: how to associate a tree to a task for instance. Maybe adding help comments when we open the app?.Version: 3.6.3

I would give this app a million stars if I could!I love flora! It’s just the most amazing focus timer app I have. I have trouble concentrating but I’m a very driven student and I constantly have to study. I love plants and I love “traveling the world and growing their native plants” in this app. It’s just the most rewarding experience in my opinion. I downloaded this app last week and I’ve already completed 22 hours! That’s a lot considering it’s summertime right now and I only have one online class. I also really like the fact that I can take a break. Things always come up when I study and I have babysit my brother when my moms at work so being able to pause to do my chores and etc is a wonderful feature. I highly recommend you get this app and actively use it to focus if you are a student!.Version: 2.5.17

How could I live without it?I installed this app at the beginning of the school year to help me focus on assignments (I have issues with focus, and distanced learning hit me hard) and honestly? I love it. The ability to use tags helps to track everything, and the Grand Tour, plus the fact that the app tracks how many hours you’ve spent in a week, materializes my efforts in a way that is very satisfying to me. I’ve only ever used the app alone, so I cannot comment on any multiplayer features. Here’s a story: I procrastinated heavily this trimester, so I’d ended up with dozens of assignments to do and a little less than a month to do them. I’d though it’d be impossible to do them all, and that I’d have to skip some in the interest of time. Yesterday, I submitted the final assignment. It was all thanks to this app—without it, I’d be unable to gather my willpower and start, let alone finish on track to get straight As. So, uh, thanks..Version: 3.2.6

Helpful but very slowI am currently a year 11 student doing my GCSEs and all of my friends and I use this app, and get very competitive in who has the best garden. It’s really effective in helping me revise when i’d otherwise being on TikTok or Snapchat etc, and has contributed massively to my studying. The only issue i find with the app is that it is very slow and laggy, and it takes ages to load my garden or feed. Additionally, there have been times where the lag has killed my trees, as one time i went to upload an image along with my session, and it took so long to go through that I ended up having to kill the 30min tree. I have strong wifi at home and am otherwise on 5G, and despite this i still frequently get the message “Your request has timed out, please try again later”. A very good and effective app but can be improved..Version: 3.5.3

Amazing for easily distracted studentsI am a university student who is horrible at time management and having an app that forces me to do one specific task without stopping to look at my phone has helped me get my grades on track again.Version: 3.2.8

Fun study buddyGrowing plants keeps me motivated to study and keeps me off of my phone!!! As a med student, both of these things are invaluable to my studies!! While I wish there was a feature where if you study for longer than your allotted time (say 50 mins instead of 25) you could grow a more detailed plant or two plants instead of one, I also appreciate the simplicity of flora. Once you learn the ins and outs it becomes really fulfilling! I love my garden, my plants, and my new productivity. I also love that it keeps track of your focused minutes throughout the week, and compares your progress to the week before. This comment is quite chaotic, but the app is not. There are lots of fun features to explore and it has helped motivate me tremendously. And it’s FREE!!! Give it a shot for a week and see your productivity skyrocket..Version: 3.2.19

Amazing app!!Such a creative and fun app that makes studying fun!!!! My favourite way to study is 25 mins on with a 5 minute break and flora is perfect for that! But you can easily adjust it to whatever study preferences you have:)) I would pay for the extra tours it’s just such a fantastic app!.Version: 3.6.3

Helpful for studyingI am an IB student and spend way too much of my time needing to concentrate and write essays or study for exams. I have been using Flora for the last few months and it had really helped me not procrastinate during my work - as long as I stick to my 5 minute break. The only problem is the chime signifying the start or end of my break is quiet and so sometimes I miss it especially when my break ends. Also flora doesn’t block my notifications so I still get distracted by messages or other notifications I might get during my concentration time. Thank you flora #striveforfive.Version: 3.2.12

Encourages me to be productive! This app did everything I expected it to. I luv how you can grow many plant varieties on the “Grand Tour.” If you work hard, your garden is cute and vibrant! Super rewarding. One improvement I think can be made is to implement a setting where you can automatically make the seeds you grow to be private from friends. That way I don’t have to manually make the seeds private each time, even though it’s not a lot of work. Also, when I registered I was kind of put off by the fact that I had to link my facebook account. I almost deleted it upon seeing this, but decided against it. I later saw after registering that it was so you and your friends could work together to grow a plant, so I was totally okay with it. I think that the developers could have done a better job explaining why facebook had to be used. Overall, I really like this app and I see myself using it for a long time. I bought Forest only to be disappointed because I thought I would like it more than Flora, but I ultimately didn’t because it takes a really long time to raise money and buy different trees. In Flora, everthing is fast and much more rewarding. I also like that I can plant a real tree everying time I stay focused for 24 hours..Version: 2.4.6

Best study appSuper easy to use, app design and layout is clear and aesthetically pleasing. I also rate that you can set up notifications and weekly goals. Easily the best study app I’ve found, well worth it for a cute lil virtual garden (I bought the add-on because I didn’t want the journey to end and my life has elevated). You can pick which plant you’d like at the end of your session, so it’s fun to customise your garden :).Version: 3.2.6

My friends and I live by this app! This app is such an effective way to study effectively. Its a study logger/tracker, timer and almost kind of like a 'study social media' all in one! I love the tour aspect of it, I think it adds such incentive to work! The daily summaries can be really motivating to work and overall, one of my favorite study apps. There are some general glitches, every now and then the timer will get stuck at the beginning and you have no option but to kill the tree, and it often gives you random notifications in the middle of the night that one of your friends are studying when they're not. Other than these small bugs, this app is really really effective! Good luck to everyone with studying!.Version: 3.2.8

Great AppUsing this during my exam season and it helped me to stay focused and on task whilst studying. It may be helpful if there were a feature that locked certain apps that way you could still be able to use your settings if you wanted to hotspot or so on. But that’s not really the purpose. In general definitely worth getting..Version: 3.2.11

Great AppI set goals previous to having flora and I never stuck with them but I have had flora for three months now and it helps me so much with studying and achieving my goals within a certain amount of time and helps with my time management skills. One thing this app could improve on is if you lock your Home Screen Timers pop up in a large space so you can see how long you have left without having to unlock your phone but overall super great app.Version: 3.2.12

Almost perfectI only just got this app a few days ago and it’s motivated me to actually get a move on and do things, and the features all are good ideas. But tonight I had a half an hour session, planting a new tree to unlock, but when the planting was finished, the app froze, and when I closed and came back on the app, I had 2 “1 min” sessions logged in my feed, each one with a random plant I already had.. however, my overall focussed time is correct .. kind of a bummer that this session wasn’t logged properly so the actual pie charts and bar charts can’t update that I’ve had a focussed session on this subject .. but it’s not a massive deal I suppose so I’ll still give this app a pretty good rating ...Version: 2.5.13

Amazing appFlora helps me so much with focusing on study! I’m currently in the break time and I don’t feel tired from working because I’m taking breaks. it also helps me track what homework I actually have to do. I love this app! if you are in any form of schooling, you neeeeeed this app. 100% recommend. I can’t believe it’s free lol. there’s only one way I think it could be improved. something to improve in is maybe to have continuous breaks and work time -like a pomodoro timer. otherwise, once i’ve finished rounds it shows up as 2 separate stories and doesnt look like much as I do only 30 minute work times. xx.Version: 3.2.5

Great idea, great appI am a horrible procrastinator and I will distract myself with anything, and this app is literally the only thing that keeps me on track while I study. It’s so simple but it actually keeps me off of my phone. I used to get distracted every few minutes by dumb random things, but the thought of killing a tree keeps me focused. I have been so productive since I began using this app. The incentive of having real money on the line is genius, and the money actually goes to a good cause. I recommend this app to all students, procrastinators, and easily distracted people everywhere. Seriously..Version: 2.4.6

✨What a Cute, Interesting, and Fun experience✨I love the design of it and I love how it’s kinda strict to me when I’m leaving the app. Basically, it’s a good app for yourself to study and also being strictly to yourself. The most interesting stuff is that the app will remain you when your break time is time up, the moment when you tries to leave the app or stop the timer, it’s will ask you that you will kill the plant if you leave or stop the timer. It’s so cute and heartbroken at the same time. So I decided to stay at the end. It’s will help you to focus on your work. 5 stars for this app is worth it!.Version: 3.2.13

Motivating, effective and fun!! I love it.This is such a unique app that I’ve become obsessed with, which is cool because I’m now obsessed with revising (kinda). It takes you around the world, while you grow traditional plants from each country, which is done when you’re not on any other apps on your phone. This has allowed me to stay focused and I can forget about my phone and get some work done. Also I completely agree with the most recent review on May 9th, I think it was, there should be a function to create quizzes or Flashcards about the stuff you may be studying. Thank you for creating such a brilliant app, it’s amazing, I can see you take all reviews into consideration and are so kind..Version: 3.2.19

A loopholeI am a terrible procrastinator and therefore this app is perfect for me and I love it!! However I have discovered a loophole on how to not kill my tree and go on my phone and it’s totally ruined it for me because I have no self control😭 if someone messages you eg. on Snapchat and it comes up on your lockscreen if you swipe on that and open your phone that way your tree doesn’t die and when you click on flora after you’re done it just says restoring your tree and then it’s fine! Help I have no self control and now I use flora and still get distracted :(.Version: 2.5.19

Pretty goodThis app has cute design features and is very sinple and easy to use, I was a little confused why my trees kept on dying at the start and then I realised that it was because I left the app every time before I went to turn my phone off but when I noticed that was what was happening it was almost addictive trying to get trees to grow in the garden. The trees and flowers have really cute designs and I think it's cool that every time you study you could plant an actual tree in real life. I've used this app a lot to study for tests, assessments and to write essays. Big thanks to the people who made Flora 🌳.Version: 3.2.19

Honestly The Best AppI was having a hard time studying and getting all my work done but I’m not even kidding I heard people talking about flora and I decided to download it and it’s so cool it’s really fun to watch your little tree grow while you study and it’s good to have a timer so you can just focus and get the amount done in that time you said and then just do what you want knowing you tried.🌹🌸💐🌺🌷🌻🍀🌲🥀🥀🌴🌼☘️🌿🍃🌱🌵🌳🍂🍁🍄🎍🌾🪷🪴.Version: 3.2.19

For once, a productivity app I useThis simple timer gives just enough incentive to actually make myself do stuff. I have A.D.D., and have tried so many apps to make myself focus. Most have so many features that I get drawn in, use it once, and then never use it again. This one is different. You just plant a seed, start the timer, decide how long you’re going to do the timer, and then do it. The trees are really cute. And once you start the timer, you don’t want to kill them. It’s just the right mix of simple and functional— it has everything I want, but doesn’t overwhelm me with more. It’s actually helpful, and got me out of a rut. And, the fact that it can be used to ACTUALLY help decarbonize our planet is amazing. Thanks for making this great app!!.Version: 3.2.12

This really helps me readThis helps me focus so much I’m now out of my book slump and I love how it gives u short breaks.Version: 3.5.3

Great app! But needs some major maintenance work!Flora is a great app, and great concept for grasping on getting work done while also competing with friends, planting new plants with each focus time being achieved as well as travelling the world to unlock new plants. Flora aids productivity however, many of my trees have died from app bugs such as servers being down. If this ain’t the case then it’s my friends list disappearing and feed being down and not refreshing therefore i cannot view friends work, hours of work not being accounted for on the app, randomly sending requests to people. Flora is a great app however these bugs are becoming too frequent!!.Version: 3.5.3

Great Overall AppI started using Flora in the middle of August at the beginning of my senior year of college, and apparently, I’ve studied/stayed focused for over 100 hours! Which is great because I was recently diagnosed w/ severe ADHD. This app has been such a useful tool in helping me actually put my phone down and focus on my schoolwork. Not only that, but seeing exactly where my time goes when I do study via the convenient “tags” feature helps me to efficiently plan out my days so I know exactly how much time I need to spend on which subject. However, my only questions/concerns are a.) can you only have 6 tags? I’ve tried to make more, but I can’t find a way to create a new tag or even delete old ones. Even just adding a section about this to the FAQs would be really helpful; b.) sometimes I’ll set a timer, and since Flora has gotten me used to not checking my phone for 1+ hour(s) at a time, I’ll go back an hour or so later to check how much time I have left to find that the app reset, and all that progress I made was lost! This can be very frustrating especially when I’m specifically trying to study a certain amount of hours per day. Other than that, great app; thanks to the developers for helping me stay focused this year!!.Version: 2.4.5

Best productivity appThis app is amazing and it’s free with no adds and it’s really motivating. I love the stylish setup it’s very easy to use so you don’t have to waste time figuring it out and just get straight to working. Best app ever!👍🤙🏻😀.Version: 3.2.2

How Flora helped me with my studiesFlora is definitely one of the best studying helpers in the telephone itself helped me to do all of my homework 20 minutes less than my normal work time so I would definitely suggest downloading this app it is the best learning supporter in the Apple Store or the Samsung store or in any telephone company you own it saves time, helps you improve, in courage you to keep on going keeps you motivated and there are may more thing that it does to help you and your studying and working journey. So go download it and what he yourself improve and have fun while your doing it. Thank you for reading my opinion on this wonderful and amazing app. 🙂.Version: 3.2.13

Super helpful for getting tasks done!I’ve been using it a couple days now and I’ve found this app very helpful. I’ve made different tasks and assigned them time slots, color-coded them, and set weekly goals for myself so that I can stay on track and stay motivated. The plants I get from completing a study session make me feel the immediate gratification of being focused which is hard to do normally because I can’t really see the fruits of my labor besides the words I type which don’t feel as rewarding as a mini flower garden on my Home Screen. I have yet to try studying with friends, but I like studying by myself so this isn’t really a bad thing for me. I highly recommend this app to people who have trouble staying on task and organizing/prioritizing their tasks/goals, but also enjoy reward systems!.Version: 3.2.6

Awesome for taking a breather <3Really good if you wanna take time away from your phone but also wanna help in saving the planet. I only just started but it’s helped me get that extra push to not be so phone addicted. I also feel really guilty if I kill a tree :( but as a result I give myself realistic times that are comfortable to my current needs. Sometimes I’ll only need 15-30. I only do more if I know I shouldn’t be on my phone cause of (studying, washing my car, talking to family).Version: 3.3.2

Must have for Procrastinators Like meThis app really is useful and helped me concentrate a lot. The ability to block certain apps r really good but when in focus mode it is easy to pause it for something urgent but it is annoying as I have fallen into doing that and scrolling social media instead of studying. I think that if u enter a forbidden app for too long even when pausing focus, it should kill the tree just like how it does when u exit focus.Version: 3.6.1

THE BEST STUDYING APP IVE EVER GOTENThis app is THE BEST app for revision, especially if you have major exams coming up. You can grow trees and other plants by just not going on your phone for a specific time limit! It easily motivates you to do the work and you can also change the time limit you’re not on the phone and your break timer. You can also add your friends and challenge them: you can see their progress on the feed. You can also see what and how much stuff you’ve grown and you feel proud of yourself for doing it all. It’s the best motivating studying app you’ll ever need for school and the best thing is that anyone can use it!.Version: 3.2.15

Download it!Yo this app is so good you should download it, saved myself £1.79 from getting flora instead of that dumb forest app (no they did not pay me to say that mums life) and flora works just as well . there’s lots of cool plants they give you and they even gave me 2 christmas trees with different decorations on each for the holiday season which was sexy of them. it’s soooo organised too i just love it, it’s made me much more productive and focused and the habit tracker works well to along side the to do list. customer service stuff is so good like if you click on the feedback but on the app you can tell them ur problem and they’ll reply pretty quick too BEST APP xoxoxoxoxoox.Version: 3.2.12

Great study tool ! Love it ❤️Flora is a great app that can be utilised for those students that have trouble focusing and get distracted by mobile use. I personally love flora to keep track of how much time I am staying focused and keeping track of my time to use it wisely and of course feeling a sense of accomplishment. Over the years flora has improved its features tremendously from once being an app where there was no other option but to log in with Facebook to now a user friendly tool..Version: 3.2.20

Stops DistractionsRecently I have been seeking help, as ADD is becoming a reoccurring issue in my life. This app takes away my main distraction, and doesn’t give me a choice but to focus. I love the added fun of touring the world and learning about all sorts of plants, and I find it so rewarding seeing my garden grow colourful. I also love how it’s free, and to pay is TOTALLY optional. I truely cannot believe I lived without this app. I’ve had it for over a month and life has not been the same. Thank you Flora!.Version: 3.2.13

Changed my lifeNy time I am trying to study Are use the Flora app and it can be used for anything and you can set reminders and your tree will grow and there’s also a premium where you can actually plant real trees it’s amazing and also this is how your tree grows you set a timer the lowest setting is five minutes and It goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die and if you pause then your thing may not look at sk it goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die also Florida is the best app you can friend people and you can grow trees together it’s amazing I love this app so much but you do need to login with either Google Facebook or email but if you don’t wanna spend any money then you don’t have to it’s a free amazing app all the sponsoring Youtubers and stuff they were right everything they said was right by the way this review is not sponsored.Version: 3.2.3

Life savingI've tried many apps to stop me from chequing my emails when driving. Only this app works. Setting a price that you'll pay if you touch your phone while driving is the most creative and effective way I can ever imagine. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.4.6

Great study toolI find it simple, easy to use and engaging. Great app for studying and staying focused. Let’s me play music in background as long as I don’t touch it..Version: 3.4.0

Seems greatSeems great so far, no complaints! I like that it gives me a few seconds grace so I can go and switch songs without the tree dying.Version: 3.2.12

5 starsHonestly really good and it helps me with my phone addiction😭 It needs more maps tho.Version: 3.6.3

BrilliantThis app genuinely helps me because it makes me stay off my phone to revise, but also it makes me feel motivated to see the hours & minutes of revision I have completed this week. It feels like a good structure to know I’ve done a solid 25 minute session & then can do another after a short break (but you can adjust your study/ break periods too for the timer.) Also the garden is pretty & educates you about plants & flowers from different regions. One issue is that sometimes it grows something other than what I have requested or from a different country, which is a bit annoying but I still love the app & definitely recommend it to everybody who has tasks to complete & struggles to focus or stay off their phone..Version: 3.2.19

Free and works so wellI love flora so much it helps me get do much work done. I’m super screen obsessed so having an app that forces me to get stuff done by keeping me off my phone helps a lot. You can grow so many different types of plants. It’s completely free and you can of course get a monthly subscription where you do gage to pay, but you plant real trees at different rates depending on which subscription you get (there are different ones with varying prices). You can also pause your progress while your working on growing an in game tree, which will allow you to use your phone, but subtracts from the total focus time. If this feature gets you to use your phone too much you can actually turn it off as well! There’s also a to do list, and you can add the amount of time you want to spend on different goals. You can make these goals reoccur as well (ex daily, weekly, biweekly). I highly recommend!!.Version: 3.2.13

THIS APP IS THE BESRI am absolutely in love with this app. it is so productive and it gets me in a good mode every single day you don’t have to pay any money and it is so easy to use and get started on. i am getting rid of all of my bad habits and it’s just a great app in general. if you wanna take it a step further you give the app your credit details and everything you don’t do you can pick how much money can come out of ur account. i feel like this is so smart and creative and it really pushes me to achieve my goals!.Version: 3.2.12

Great AppAs the school year was approaching, and I was incoming freshman in highschool, I decided to try using this app for time management to put studying time in between my extracurricular activities (plus drivers ed!) This app has saved my first two years of highschool deeply! I absolutely recommend this to any student who wants to continue improving on time management. This has definitely improved my habits on getting work done..Version: 2.4.6

Amazing AppThis app is amazing. I highly recommended this app. I love the point of this app and the ethical side of it. It is great for anyone to use and is very simple and easy to learn how to make your way through the app. I have only had a couple problems with the app. Sometimes when I study it will say I studied for 1 minute however I have studied anywhere from 25 mins - 2 hours. Or can get annoying as you feel like you have done nothing, but the hours are still counted correctly, you feed has just messed up. If this small imperfection is was fixed, the app would be florless. :).Version: 2.5.13

Facebook!! Really, Facebook? It says that the age rating is four plus but you have to sign in with Facebook? I’m 13 and currently homeschooling, and it sounds like a great app to keep me productive, as having my iPod there is really tempting. I want to use this app, but I don’t have Facebook. More concerned about the whole Facebook thing, but I am confused why it is 4+. Have you ever seen a 4 year old with Facebook? I for one have not. Anyway, hope that you can adjust this soon..Version: 2.5.19

It’s a great app, but...I love this app and it is sooooo helpful. But I can’t pause the timer if I need to text my mom or I need to just look something up when studying. It has the option to pause, but it doesn’t do anything, it’s like it’s just there for decoration. So, ofc, I have to kill the tree. I did a timer for 3 hours and like 5 hours or so later I went on my phone and it said I killed a tree! What?! Plz fix this, cause it’s getting on my nerves 😖 Another thing, is that I don’t have Facebook so I can’t connect with anyone, and it’s really annoying. I would love to see my friends accomplishments and and join their sessions. Why can’t it be like Among Us where u don’t need to sign in to be with people? Edit: for the past month of doing flora, all my trees are algae- I literally haven’t had a single different tree! It’s really annoying to work so hard for the same tree you’ve been getting for days.Version: 3.1.2

Effective and fun!I’ve used many different productivity timer type apps and even some that lock me out of my phone for the duration. I’ve stopped using all of those because it was either too restrictive or too lax. Flora is the perfect happy medium - no one wants to kill a tree even if it’s a cartoon one! That alone seems to motivate me enough to not switch to any other app on my phone during a timed session, unless I absolutely have to take a call or something. I like that I can be flexible in the work time I choose, so as to not stick to rigid time intervals such as pomodoro timers. And it’s just so pleasant to “travel” around the world and plant different things. I have also opted to pay for the “plant a real tree” option for a certain number of hours worked. That’s so creative and inspiring! Thanks for designing an awesome app. I wish there was a short pause function instead of all or nothing with killing the tree, but this is minor and not worth taking any stars off for..Version: 3.1.1

DopeI really really like Flora as a way to set my phone aside and get stuff done! I haven’t had any problems. It’s simple - you plant a seed, adjust how much time it will take to “grow,” and then you’re obligated to stay within the app in order to keep your plantling alive! It’s a great idea, and sooner or later I’m going to get around to digging into the other options it has (I’m really in need of one that lets me set goals of different types, because I’m trying to keep up a couple different habits at once - will see if that’s an option here). Anyway, give it a try if you’re looking for a cute way to turn your phone (and all its distractions) into a brick for a while!.Version: 2.4.6

Fun productivity that does goodA fun way to be productive that also helps the environment. It’s amazing the distractions your phone creates and this app eliminates them, but in a way that makes it cool :).Version: 3.2.1

AdsCan you please remove ads because it’s annoying thanks.Version: 3.6.3

Good app!Helps me study, i need to lock in 🙏🏼.Version: 3.6.3

Amazing app! This is such a good app! I’m a homeschooler so it’s hard for me to focus sometimes… I asked my older sister to stay in the room while I do my school so I’m focused, she said “ get the app Flora! It helps you study and you grow a plant, if you go off the app ur plant dyes” she told me all about it, and I was amazed! So Iimmediately grabbed my phone, went onto the App Store, and searched up Flora! My sister helped me search ur up, and I’m in love! The best app ever! It’s like a game but helps you study, definitely recommend! 100% should get it!.Version: 3.5.0

Absolutely Love Flora but is missing one feature!I can definitely say that flora is the key to keeping me focused on getting work done. However, for a period I switched to a different app because of their timer feature, in which you could time how long you actually worked for and rewards would be given accordingly. This made it much easier as I didn’t have to estimate how long work would take me, wait 10 more minutes without my phone because I overestimated etc. I eventually came back to flora because of its layout and how easy it is to use, but the fact that it doesn’t have a timer feature really bothers me..Version: 3.4.1

100% yes yes yesIt’s genuinely so fun. I added my friends on it and it’s so cool to see when they get their plants! When I set it, I don’t want to kill the tree so I never open it. Betting money on it is completely optional and I might use it soon if killing a tree isn’t enough to keep me off my phone. 100% recommendation and it’s free so if you don’t like it, you didn’t pay a cent for it (but I guarantee you’ll have a blast!!).Version: 3.5.2

Amazing! Just one thing..This is a really great app. If you’re a really bad procrastinator and need a solution, this is the app. But I have feel like if you could add one more feature, it would make it even better. It would amazing if you could add a blacklist where all the apps you want blocked while you’re studying/working can get blocked. Other than that, it’s great!.Version: 3.2.3

ReviewI think this app is good because it has made me revise more and it’s really motivating but I cannot give 5 stars because the same problem keeps happening. It keeps saying “servers under maintenance” and will be like that for a few hours however it says come back in an hour. Also when that happens I cannot revise and I am not the kind of person who can not revise and then suddenly decide a few hours later I will revise, I want to revise when I enter the app. Also something that is really annoying is that whenever you log onto a new device with the same account it gets rid of your progress goal which is annoying if for example I put a monthly goal of 5 hours and had done 4 but on my iPad it says I haven’t revised at all. Also the World Tour is great - I finished it but that is the only free one and I can only see one option to pay so it is quite demotivating to get the same plants I already have. Those are my 3 problems and therefore I took 3 stars away from the review but if these problems were fixed I would rate the app 5. If you read this review and you are the type of person who won’t get put off by “servers under maintenance” and want to have a high work ethic then I highly recommend it..Version: 3.5.0

Loving it :DI’m a student now being faced with actual exams that aren’t just there to tell me I’m good at this and bad at that and I’ve been struggling with focusing on my homework and at home assignments as I’m often distracted, but this app has helped me a lot! And it’s nice format and style makes me excited to reach the full minutes goal and actually almost enjoy my studying. Thanks !.Version: 2.5.19

You can plant real trees!!At first I didn’t think I would like the app but then when I realised I can plant real trees by focusing and make a positive change I started liking the app. I love how affordable the app is too, thank you guys for helping everyone to be more productive and also helping the community and environment! You guys are super stars! 🌟 I’ve been having difficulty focusing lately but I just focused for almost an hour just because I can plant a real tree ❤️.Version: 2.5.19

WowSo innovative for a Productivity app!.Version: 3.6.3

So helpful!I’ve always found it hard to concentrate and focus when I’m not in the right frame of mind, and since I’ve been working from home because of the pandemic it has become quite problematic. I cannot stress just how much this app has helped! And, as an added bonus/incentive the more you focus the more trees you plant. What drew me to this app was the ability to add a financial penalty to stopping during a focussed ‘session’. Once I got used to having the app there it was tempting just to give up and have a look at stuff on my phone, so having that extra consequence has definitely made the difference in my focus and productivity! It did take me a little bit to figure out all the features and how to make the most of it, but stick with it it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend :).Version: 3.0.3

FantasticMakes me study, 10/10. Good activity with friends.Version: 3.2.19

FloraThis app has really helped me build strong study habits and is great for high school students.Version: 3.2.7

Helpful and Rewarding!I’ve been using Flora for a while now, and it has made ALL the difference to my study habits. When I first downloaded it, I was still in online learning, and I was desperate. For me, online schooling was very vague. There was no initiative every day for me to go on my laptop and complete my assignments. Also, it is so much easier to close your computer and play on your phone or fall asleep than to skip class at school. But when I started using Flora, it gave me a reason (that I actually care about!) to hold myself accountable. Even if it just meant I stayed off my phone for a couple hours, it was progress! So Flora became one of the only things that made me want to do my work. I’ve since invested in Flora Care, and it makes a huge difference. Knowing that my study time is going towards planting a tree is, for me, the ultimate motivator. And I LOVE the fact that there aren’t any loopholes for me to stay on my phone. If I want a tree planted, I genuinely have to be off my phone for 24 hours. And so far, I’ve planted 2 trees! So it’s rewarding to look back on that progress. Anyways, sorry for rambling! TD;LR: This app has helped me a lot!! If you’re searching for an initiative to stay off your phone, Flora is a good bet. I recommend it greatly to any procrastinator!.Version: 3.2.6

A super helpful focus app! This is an amazing app! I love everything about it and it’s so useful! It’s low key rewarding everytime you grow a tree ❤️.Version: 2.5.19

Amazing for Procrastinators! As the title says, this app really IS amazing! Here are some reasons why: 1. It keeps procrastination at bay...if you have a big assignment and you’ve kept procrastinating, this app helps you with many different tools, such as reminders and by letting YOU set measurable amounts of time to complete the task at any pace. And, you get little plant rewards for taking those steps! 2. It is FREE...this app, unlike some others, doesn’t require any purchases in the main app. It only has an optional one, and the experience without it doesn't cost you to sacrifice app quality. 3. It helps others...if you chose to support the app, you can help other other countries by providing trees by simply using the app. Trees are essential for environmental and human health, and a small cost goes a long way (again, not even required!). 4. You can work with friends...not only can you be productive, but you can compete with your friends or just invite them into your “room” to do the task with you. 5. It motivates you to cut out distractions...the best part is that app doesn’t allow you to use your phone during your “session”. Although this may sound terrible to some, it really is beneficial, as it keeps you all the distractions that phones nowadays can bring to true productivity (social media, videos, games, etc). It helps you focus on one thing at a time; a good life skill. Hope this helped!.Version: 3.2.7

Great Study AidAs someone who has ADHD this has been a great help in honing focus and I often get most of my homework or studying done with this app. I’ve never had such an easy time studying. This is the best study app I’ve seen thus far, it’s motivational tactics are incredibly helpful, I love the idea of growing different plants in the real world for the sake of the planet.. Top-notch features.Version: 3.6.3

Good for you and the worldFirst off, it is really free if you just want the bonus encouragement of staying focused on your tasks. You do have the option though of either wagering on your ability to stay focused the whole time and if you fail then your money goes to support a great cause or doing a one time donation to every few hours of focus that you do results in a REAL tree getting planted. The idea is brilliant and can make a real difference on our world and the little way that having a tree grow because of the work I do actually has helped me stay on task. So, it works :) And honestly if you have the financial means to do the wager, do it! Gives me additional incentive to stay on task and if I mess up it’s just a small donation that has little effect on me and a big effect on the world..Version: 3.5.4

Keeps me accountableMakes sure I don’t access my social media when I am meant to be studying.Version: 3.2.7

Such a good appI was really sceptical at first, it came across as a gimmick app that wouldn’t really work. However I have found it to be so good, I used to be able to focus for period of five to ten minutes but I am slowly working my way up and focusing for longer periods of time. However, I would like it if the app had a way to better view your ‘garden’. It’s a kind of weird view of it and just having your sort of trophies there would be a better motivator I’m sure. Overall, definitely worth a download..Version: 2.5.19

Like it more than I thought!I first got this app because while doing school online it’s easier to get distracted since there is no one to tell me to get off my phone. I love that every time you focus and reach your time you unlock a plant from that region of the the world. I love the fun facts that are presented and I often find myself trying to get more done just so that I can focus and unlock a new plant! There is also an option to pledge money if you kill a plant which is nice for those who find it extra hard to keep the phone away but I like it more that it is optional and you can keep things free if you want too. I’m pretty sure it asks you to put in a Credit card but you don’t get charged for anything unless you pledge money and end up killing the tree. Overall, love the app and it’s cause!.Version: 3.0.4

Even just adding a section about this to the FAQs would be really helpful; b.) sometimes I forgot to use Flora before studying. It would be good to have a reminder feature. Other than that, great app; thanks to the developers for helping me stay focused this year!!.Version: 2.4.6

Best app for any student, 100% recommend itI love this app so much, its basically a pomodoro timer but in an adorable game! As a post grad law student, when trying to sit down and focus on study the hardest part is always starting (especially during covid while all classes were online) - so I plant a tree and grow my little jungle. Its so satisfying when I’ve done lots of work and my jungle looks so lush and the hours all add up. Seeing an actual visual of how hard I’ve worked creates so much extra momentum to keep working. Even when tasks are huge and I feel like I’ve spent hours getting no where, instead of getting overwhelmed I just do it tree by tree. It lets me actually see and feel good about my progress. I really appreciate this app, it’s helped me so much 🌵🪴🌾💚.Version: 3.0.5

Good app deserves noticeI seldom give reviews, but this one is an exception. I used it with a couple of my friends and it turns out that we really got things done much faster because no one wanted to let others down. When we saw the trees came out it was really a cheerful momement for all of us. Good job, Flora!.Version: 2.4.6

Best app for staying off your phoneI’ve used this app for not even an hour and it’s already the best one I’ve used to stay focused. It holds me accountable if I become distracted and I love that you can have “to do” lists and set reminders to get things done. It’s so satisfying to have different trees grow and see your progress. I don’t think I’ll ever need to even consider other focus apps after this..Version: 3.5.5

SO GOODNo because this is actually my favourite studying app please get it. not only do you get to grow a cute little garden as exciting study motivation but you can also get a widget of your garden on your home page as a reminder and you can grow so many different plants, label and record your study sessions, insert a photo of what you did, etc. ITS SO GOOD BYEEEE SO ADORABLE AND HELPFUL i really be trying to get everyone i know on this app because i want them to succeed and do well :)).Version: 3.2.6

A great appThis app has helped me hone in for many years on projects or studying that needed to be done. And the idea that if you interrupt the growth of the tree you can plant one in real life is an awesome initiative..Version: 3.6.1

Productive, but slightly hindering?Killing trees is disheartening, this app is an oddly great motivator in spending time away from your phone, so you can focus intently on the productive things you enjoy! Like many, I use Flora whilst studying- which works great by the way!- however, one thing that helps me is setting timers (using the default ios time app); e.g 10 minutes to finish a minor task so I don't linger on it, 45 minutes on a certain topic, ect; but the flora app makes this difficult as I risk killing my tree by setting a 10 minute timer? Yes, I can pause before & after I do so, but that takes MORE time away from studying, compared to just quickly setting a timer & and continuing with my work- is there any way to allow certain apps, such as the time app, so that it can still be used without killing the tree? This is no where near a major flaw, (probably just a me-problem really aha) but nonetheless the app is amazing- and limitlessly free- so I absolutely recommend it!.Version: 3.1.0

It’s really good!Seriously. This isn’t a fake review, I’m being 100% serious. It is so helpful when I need to get something done in a short amount of time. The reminders, cute images, and etc! I get distracted by my phone super easily, it this eliminates that. I appreciate it! And I don’t have to pay anything for all of these features.Version: 3.6.1

This app is good but..The app is good, I work more using this app and get things done faster. It helps with my procrastination quite a bit, Beside the times when I procrastinate using the app😂😂😂. I have a suggestion to make for the app, I hope this get read and possibly taken into consideration. Sometimes I finish my work before the time limit goes off and it would be great if there was a finish or done option even if the timer is still going. Thank you 🙏.Version: 2.5.19

Love this app!! However, there are some bugsI love using flora! The plants are super cute and it is FREE to use. You only pays when you want more plants. Meanwhile, it is online!! Comparing to other pomodoro apps that are offline, not only can you see your friends progress and stay motivated, you can also keep track of your progress across devices!! Nevertheless, there have been some bugs. I usually write comments under my stories to keep track of my studying habit which I prefer to keep private. I had all my stories set to be private, yet it sometimes automatically set my stories to be “share with friends”. When I changed my story settings, it told me “fail to update, please try later”. In addition, I kept getting reminder for my completed task which was deleted a long time ago. Thankfully, all problems disappeared after I redownloaded floral app several times. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this app!.Version: 3.2.19

Seems good but don’t have FacebookUpdate:it’s May 5 of 2019 and you STILL DONT HAVE A EMAIL LOGIN OR ANY OTHER LOGIN ALTERNATIVE. You say you’ll add it as soon as possible but you updated the app last week and still NO EMAIL LOGIN. Just look at your negative reviews for 5 SECONDS and you’ll see that’s all we want. I have it as 4 stars in hopes that you will see this. You guys say that you’re “working on email login” but it’s been months. Why is it taking so long. Almost all your low star ratings are because it’s Facebook only. This isn’t good for your business because people won’t use the app because of Facebook login only. You might be working on it but make it a priority. I don’t want to use forest cause it cost $ and I just want to be productive. I understand it takes time to implement this but people have been asking since AT LEAST 2017, I didn’t scroll further cause it was long. Most apps that have sign ins have email function so why is it taking so long. At least give us an explanation.Version: 2.5.14

Efficient, user friendly and cuteThis app has been a game-changer for my focus—it’s like my productivity has been supercharged! Unlike my previous Pomodoro method on the computer, Flora takes it up a notch by blocking my phone. The added accountability of a dying tree if I deviate from my 25 minutes of focus is a brilliant motivator. Plus, the sleek design of the to-do list keeps me effortlessly organized..Version: 3.6.0

Great appOnly app that has made me focus on work.Version: 3.6.3

Love itLove it. Definitely recommend it to anyone needing to focus hard in a group study and even contribute to our environment!👍🏽.Version: 2.5.15

100% recommend u download flora!!I love flora! I’m in year 10 at the moment and I am currently studying for my GCSE’s. I struggle to focus when working and often wind up on my phone rather than actually revising. With flora however I have started to get work done and also remember what it is that I am learning. But floes isn’t just for learning, if you simply want to escape technology for a while you can use flora for that and focus on the real world instead. I also admire the morals and values behind flora, working to plant trees when users achieve their goals. Honestly I would 100% recommend this app to anyone who is in school, studying, struggles focusing at work, or just wants to disconnect from the online world and feel good whilst doing it 💗💗.Version: 3.5.5

GratefulGrateful for Flora has helped me a lot to keep focus and to be intentional with my studying..Version: 3.6.0

Love the update!I love the updated timer - I was always annoyed when I was in the zone, and my timer went up, so having it run until I reopen is great! The app has helped me focus a lot better, but there are a couple glitchy aspects(Eg. the app lags and doesn’t log my progress sometimes, and if you click through the weekly summaries really quickly, the app force shuts…) Overall I love the app!.Version: 3.5.2

EDIT: Thank you!Thank you SO MUCH for adding other login options than facebook. I’ve been loving the app so far, and I’ve gotten so many things done today. It’s cool how you added the Sign-In With Apple option, too. Now I don’t have to download a paid app to get all the nice features that this app has. Thanks again! I’ve been waiting to use this app for almost a year now, since I’m only in middle school and can’t download the paid Forest app and don’t have a Facebook account to log in to this app. It’s kind of annoying that when I found this app I was like “FINALLY I’VE FOUND IT,” but then realized that I couldn’t even log in. Now it’s been 12 months and still you have not released another email option. Is it supposed to take this long? I know I’m being impatient, but you’re blocking out so many users because of the limit you put on them. You shouldn’t expect students to have Facebook, anyway. So many people are in need of this app, and I’ve signed up for the email notification and everything. Please, please release this option as soon as you can. I’m almost in high school, and this app will be so beneficial in helping me stay focused. Thanks!.Version: 3.0.2

Good concept but a bit greedyThe focus effects of the app are great, the trees are a good measurement of success and the overall premise is very effective. The payment for failing is also a good incentive, but I think setting a minimum of $5 is greedy, as theres no requirement to pay any money, so it would be more beneficial to let people set whatever charge they want. Some people don't have $5 to throw away whenever they fail, and setting $1 or $0.50 is a good enough incentive still, so I think this should be changed..Version: 3.5.4

LOVEI LOVE THIS APP like I’ve tried so many different apps that help with focusing but this works the best because I am so emotionally attached to my trees. This app has helped me achieved so many life goals. Thank you, Flora.Version: 2.4.6

I like the idea of planting treesThis App really helped. I like the idea that helping the green environment. Every time when I distracted by other stuff (such as go petting my cats), I would think of the tree I was planting, and I would keep focus on my work for the sake of the green environment. Although it’s just a very very tiny contribution, but I believe it will be a bigger part if more people doing the same. Strongly recommend for those who be easily distracted..Version: 3.2.0

Motivating app, Please Add!!It’s very fun and motivating to see your friends get studying! However what I feel this app lacks is the feature to care for your garden. A little section just to showcase your garden would be super motivating and cute! Just like 3 rows of the 2D plants, and maybe the ability to keep the garden fresh by watering it. But don’t make it too hard! Just a fun way to customise and show your garden would be really appreciated..Version: 3.5.1

My favorite time-keeping app!So far this is the only time-keeping app that I’ve stuck with—which is saying something, as I’ve got severe ADHD and usually can’t stick with anything. I like the variety of trees and plants you can grow in-app, it’s not annoying so I can run it calmly in my background, and I can adjust the stakes as needed when I really need a kick to focus with the Real Money function. Plus it actually plants trees! I don’t particularly like losing money but I’m satisfied that if I *do* mess up my focusing, the money is going to a good cause. And even if I don’t mess up at all, I still get to plant trees periodically by focusing for certain amounts of time! It’s kind of a win-win. The subscriptions are essentially identical except you can plant real trees more often, so I don’t mind paying for an app like this (I’m on the Basic plan because I’m a student with limited income—monthly it’s about $2 which adds up to around $20 with the full-year percentage discount, which isn’t bad at all!). Without the subscription you still have 100% access to the app, it only means you plant more real trees. All in all, between price, functionality, and environmental ethics, this is the perfect fit for me, and I’d definitely recommend trying it!.Version: 3.2.12

Can you listen to music from your phone? Are you able to listen to music while doing a task with out your tree dying..Version: 3.4.0

Absolutely amazing appI love this app. It makes me feel so motivated with doing my tasks and chores. I usually struggle with being motivated and focused on chores due to ADHD. I feel happy that I am doing chores and also growing my own garden while doing it and even if a put a bit of pocket money and effort I will be able to grow my own trees somewhere overseas. I absolutely love this app. Such a beautiful app and gesture to make this for people. This app changed my life. Thank you..Version: 3.2.8

Really cuteHelped me focus a lot more since i started using it :).Version: 3.4.0

Helpful Study ToolI just started my bachelors degree after not being in school for 6+ years. Flora helps me get off my phone and focus on the work. I enjoy the reward of a rose or tree at the end of each session. I also like the challenge of adding a sort-of “bet” on yourself by choosing a dollar amount and if you break your session (aka, kill your tree) you get charged that amount. There are a couple aspects I do not like: I do not like that the app does not remind you with a chime/sound/vibration when your session is over, I don’t like adding a “break” in sessions because I don’t know how long each lecture, quiz, or homework will take to complete, so when the time I’ve set is finished I like to evaluate if I’m at a stopping point for a break or if I need to add more time. I also really dislike that you have to pay for the app (albeit, one of the lesser expensive apps) to actually plant real trees. I don’t like that the saving the environment is monetized in such a way as if we would even need to plant trees if we weren’t tearing down the environment in the first place. It should be enough that trees are getting planted from people using the app, why monetize it? Overall I haven’t experienced any user interface issues or bugs, I like the app for the most part, and I’ll most likely keep it to keep me on task even after I graduate!.Version: 3.5.5

One of my most used appsI’ve started using Flora pretty much daily for tasks that I either don’t enjoy and therefore need extra motivation to tackle, or when I know that I tend to get distracted during things like organizing papers etc. I set the timer to 15-20 minutes and challenge myself to race against the clock. If I need more time after that I simply set another timer. I find it helps keep my focus, adds extra motivation, and it is very satisfying to complete my task in the time I allot myself. The reason I keep my times short rather than setting a timer for an hour is that as a mom, I do sometimes need to get back to my (teenage) kids within a reasonable time but this allows me to wait the extra few minutes until I’ve completed the task before I do. And in the case that something really can’t wait, you can always pause the timer temporarily. I’m currently working on my third REAL tree and hoping to have many more by the end of this year!.Version: 3.4.1

BangingHeat.Version: 3.6.3

Really useful! The app really lives up to its purpose! As long as you are honest with yourself, it really helps with productivity especially when your main concern is getting distracted by your phone. Receiving a new plant/fruit is truly satisfying 😍. However, I wish there was an option to increase or decrease time once you already set a goal, as sometimes you may complete a task early or need more time. ALSO, I would love a pet version ‘Fauna’ 🤩🤩..Version: 3.0.3

10/10 appMy productivity has increased tenfold after I downloaded this app. I find myself more motivated and even happy to do homework now. I really like being able to look at my stats and seeing how much work I’ve done in a day/week, and also watching your garden expand over time is really satisfying. Overall such a great app with awesome features and a really cool concept. Thank you Flora for making me a more productive and useful human being..Version: 3.2.20

Great appMakes me a lot more productive just wish could plant real plant without money :).Version: 3.2.8

Good app but some issuesAs a general app-blocker it is good and when you do not used the pay function it is arguably a really good product. There are enough options for personalisation of your timeout sessions such as the option to take a break etc etc. One MAJOR issue is that on paid sessions (when you put money down on not leaving the app) the app, when the lock screen is on and so your screen is black, may randomly close. This could be an issue of the phone but it is something that needs addressing as you could lose out on money and a study session (albeit for a good cause) due to technical fault. Either than that, really good and really useful.Version: 2.5.9

Love the ideaOne of the first things I did with this app was set aside time to read a personal book. The timer is a really easy way to focus on one thing at a time and get an idea of how much time you need for certain activities. I love that they include Flora Care which is a charity you can donate to and in exchange a certain number of hours logged in the app translates to a real tree planted. However the only way you are able to use the app is if you have a Facebook account, I haven’t used my Facebook in months but was lucky enough to remember my login. Although after only a couple days of using the app I was told I needed to log back in to Facebook and was redirected to a Facebook security measure asking for a photo of my face -after this i was told i had to wait for the photo to be reviewed before i could log back in. It would be much easier to use an account that I use more readily such as gmail, or even the option to create a new Flora account not necessarily connected to another social media.Version: 2.5.8

It’s quite fun but needs a lot of improvingFlora has been a very effective tool for revision for me, I’ve been using it for quite a while - I’m in Year 11 and doing my GCSES next week! I’m glad to say it has definitely motivated me to revise, I wish the tour was longer but overall it is a fun app. I like how you can join people’s rooms but I also wish you could type in chat rooms while revising. The app can be very glitchy and laggy at times which is often quite irritating, it wasn’t working on my phone so I deleted it and downloaded again and it restarted my progress so I was back at stop 1 on the tour. Thankfully nothing changed on my other device. I also wish my focus time would update every Sunday instead of every Saturday. Overall, this app is very good but there are 100% a lot of bugs needed to be fixed - my feed doesn’t update, sometimes the app crashes after I finish a room..Version: 3.2.16

Amazing AppWhat an amazing concept and what a lovely way to allow people to make a difference while benefitting themselves too! So much love ❤️.Version: 3.6.3

Flora and Fauna? Garden Wilting? This is not in the name of the app and it may seem sadistic and extreme, but I think it would be highly motivating to be threatened with the sickness or death of a virtual animal. That would come with much higher stakes than plants and completely ensure I get my work done. There is no app like that on the market. Call it the fauna of flora! My less extreme suggestion is an option to have our garden wilt if there is no activity in the app for a whole day. It’s an incentive for constant productivity. I need help with not just adherence to productivity sessions, but initiation of those sessions in the first place. Because I’m very aesthetically motivated, further customization and personalization of our garden would be cool too. Maybe different illustrative styles. All of that being said, this app is very effective and I enjoy growing my plants..Version: 3.0.2

Amazing app for studying and focusing!!I love flora so much! My sister rscommended it to me, and it really helps me focus when studying! It is also a great way to put a timer on for a task for a reward, and the to do list is great too!! 🌳🌸.Version: 3.5.4

LOVE, and Want for iPadI’ve tried a lot of different habit/to-do tracking and focus apps, but none that had both the rich feature set (habits, to-dos, focus, connections) and the real-world benefit (beyond my own). I also love the “journey” concepts that are unlocked with reasonable engagement with the app, rather than high-bar “purchases” that constantly seem out of reach as I’ve experienced with other apps. It’s truly an app that balances a motivation to use it with a motivation to put down my phone and focus. I like it so much that I wish there was an iPad version to complete the iPhone app, perhaps even one that syncs so that if I start a timer on one device, the same timer starts on the other (maybe if I choose for it to be so)... I sometimes find that it’s too easy to lose focus when I have another device to get around using my phone. Thanks so much to the developers for their work and impact!.Version: 3.2.3

Amazing idea seriously...life saviour pretty muchWith this app you are forced forced FORCED to not use your phone. Because if you do while the app works, you will have to pay a fee with real money. So basically you have to not use your phone at all for a specified amount of time you set in the app. You have no clue how many times you pick it up and use it within an hour, and trust me, you’d be surprised when you find out. With this app you will realise how often you use your phone hourly/daily and eventually you will become more and more aware of how badly addicted you are to it. This will help you stop using it as much, basically. Because, when you will feel like using it, you will instantly remember you made a deal with real money not to do so. And you are automatically not going to use it. Also, the money that you eventually end up to lose, (‘for the first few times you are definitely going to lose a few dollars’), will go to volunteers that plant trees all over the world. To save the planet. Which is awesome. We do both good to ourselves and to them. And to the planet! In the end we all have to save it as much as they are..Version: 3.0.5

Great appI really love this app, used it to get through my GCSEs and am now using it for a-levels. It helps me to look at studying as a game where I can grow cute little trees as a reward and has massively improved my consistency. My only issue with it would be the bugs…while it works fine most of the time, sometimes it glitches out and removes some of my focus times or adds random ones. For example I once set my focus time to 1 hour, and when I completed the hour and went to view my tree, the app didn’t respond for a few seconds before closing itself. When I reopened the app, I saw that it had indeed logged my focus time, however put it as 2 hours instead of 1. Of course this is an insignificant error in the long run and won’t affect my performance in exams, nor my progress in my studies, but I’m a person who likes to accurately see my progress so I can find ways to improve. This glitch happens maybe once in every 15 focuses I set, so it isn’t exactly rare enough for me to ignore. Other than that, I love this app and definitely recommend it for people who find focusing on work difficult to begin or do for longer than 10 minutes like me! :).Version: 3.5.4

Won’t allow me to loginI saw my friend using this app and it looked great so I downloaded it. I even created a Facebook account specifically to login, but when I try login it says ‘Application Unavailable: the application you’re trying to use is either no longer available or access is restricted’. This is pretty disappointing and I’m not sure why it happened..Version: 2.5.19

FacebookThis honestly seems like a good app that will actually help you with your productivity and to focus on your work; only problem i have is that i haven’t been able to use it because i don’t have facebook which is really frustrating. please support other means to log in! i know it says on the “why facebook?” tab that you’ll start supporting other means soon like google, twitter, email and phone number BUT PLEASE DO THIS SOON because i really want to use this app (as do most of my contacts who are aware of this app) but we can’t because we don’t have facebook. thank you and i look forward to a new update where i’ll be able to use the app 🖤.Version: 2.5.19

An amazing tool adhd when you know how to use it!!As someone who struggles heavily with time management, this app has so far been really nice to use! Let’s me have a list of tasks, timer with break, and gives me an incentive to finish my work. As a person with ADHD, getting a little compliment/break/tree planted gives me my little dopamine boost that I seriously need to make my work feel worth doing. There is no one app to cure my problem but this is a very useful tool to have in my adhd productivity toolbelt!! I just hope they can make the app more intuitive and user friendly, as it’s especially hard to feel motivated when you feel overwhelmed with the app itself lol, took me a few downloads and deletes but now that i know how to use it best for my situation it’s helped a lot!! I also would like more options in timing breaks and focus, specially I like having 20 minutes breaks and that’s not an option.Version: 3.2.12

Awesome but a few suggestions!!This app is amazing it’s really helped me with my work!! The thought of planting trees makes homework feel more like a game and is way more motivating. It has also helped a lot with my adhd! I know the point of the app is to stay off your phone, but there should be a setting that allows you to be able to use your phone while still setting a timer (and growing a tree)because some of the things I have to do for school are much easier to do on my phone. It’s really unmotivating just setting a normal timer without a tree growing now that sometimes my only motivation is a tree growing. Maybe something where there’s an exception with certain apps. Also when you pause the timer should pause too, instead of subtracting time. Other then that this app has been amazing and really helpful!!! Thank you so much!!.Version: 3.4.0

The best focus appEver since the old app that I used was no longer free, I began searching for a new focus timer for my studying. I am a full time college student with a part time job, so it's very important for me to stay focused on tasks to get them done! Flora has made me excited to study (not that the classes I have to study for are boring), but i love the idea of being able to grow different plants or flowers and go on tours to different places around the world. It really keeps me focused because if you exit out of the app, it will kill whatever you are growing! Which obviously you don't want to do. I love the ability to switch how long you want to study for and how long of a break you can have. Overall, the app truly works for me and it's so simple to use! I recommended it to all of my roommates, and now they all use it too!.Version: 3.5.1

AmazingI love this app, I use the free version so I’m not planting real trees (yet), and it’s still an amazing focus tool to have on your phone. Whenever I feel like I’m getting sucked into my phone or I have something to get done, planting a tree and having flora do the rest is amazing. The graphics are great, it’s user friendly, and very helpful. One problem I’ve run into though is when I do a long focus, like 45 minutes +, leave my phone and come back when my tree has grown, it says “IOS terminated your session” and then it loads and loads and if I leave the app my tree dies. I have out of date IOS though so it’s probably my phones problem, not Floras’..Version: 3.6.3

The best tree timer app on the marketGreat app to help me stay focused while doing my necessary reading. I’ve always had problems concentration, but that has been made worse since the COVID quarantine and my reliance on phones/computers. It had gotten to the point where I would sit down with a book or something and within minutes I would be back on my phone checking something or responding to someone without realizing that I was no longer reading or doing my task. Now, I automatically pick up my phone and I’m gently reminded that I’m working on something else. Plus, after paying a few bucks, there’s an added benefit of slowly working towards a tree donation. I think that helps me stay concentrated, the award of getting my little digital plant as well as working towards a real tree. It’s worth a download to try and it’s definitely better than the app charging money to do something similar..Version: 3.0.1

PrettyDoesn’t keep track of break time when I leave app :(.Version: 3.6.1

Good app deserves noticeI seldom give reviews, but this one is an exception. I used it with a couple of my friends and it turns out that we really got things done much faster because no one wanted to let others down. When we saw the trees came out it was really a cheerful momement for all of us. Good job, Flora!.Version: 2.0.2

FloraThe plants they give are cute. Makes me want to study so I can get more plants..Version: 3.2.17

GoodGood.Version: 3.6.2

Love 🌳Helpful and motivational!.Version: 3.6.2

AMAZING APP ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ADHDI have been downloading so many apps that claim to help keep you focused and stay on task especially if you have adhd I’ve downloaded to do apps and schedule apps and everything you could think of, and one day I found this app. And i love plants and growing plants and so to have this app that lets me grow a virtual garden, and holds me accountable if I go to a different app while in focus mode is amazing, I’ve only killed 1 tree so far😭 I was really sad about it too! So it really pushed me to not get on my phone and get distracted while doing something so I don’t kill my growing plants!! I love that it also has the option for you to hold yourself accountable and put down a certain price should you lose focus and that money goes to planting real trees in the world! This is an amazing app and I love it so much!! Definitely has helped me get things done! And to be motivated to get more things done to unlock more trees!❤️ thankyou so much for this app!!!❤️❤️❤️🦋.Version: 3.4.0

AwesomeKeeps me on track and helps me stay focussed :).Version: 3.6.3

Awesome! What an awesome idea! This will really motivate me to spend less time on my phone knowing that in return trees are being planted 💕🌎🌳.Version: 3.2.8

GreatFlora has really been helping me revise for IGCSEs. I like the fact that you can’t leave the app once you start otherwise you will kill whatever you’re planting, this is helpful for me because I often get distracted while studying and end up scrolling mindlessly through social media. The only small downside is that you can’t really pause without killing the tree either, so if you’re tea is ready or something you have to just add time at the end. But this isn’t really a big problem because if you could pause i think i would end up pausing for something that isn’t necessary like texting a friend. Some things that would be cool to add is if you have finished what you are studying before the timer goes you could just finish the session there instead of killing the plant or having to wait until the end. Otherwise great app that I strongly recommend over other study/productive apps..Version: 3.2.2

Price medal?I really like this app because it helps me concentrate, but I don’t know what to do at “Price Medal”, so I am stopped there and unable to go to stops 5 & +.Version: 2.1.6

Great app but..I love this app so much, it is amazing at keeping you focused and preventing you from becoming distracted, and I love the feature where you can join your friends sessions too. Growing plants and killing them if you leave is a very efficient method of maintaining focus. However, recently whenever I go on the app, it claims it’s under maintenance and tells me to come back in an hour. This way I cant sustain focus and also it stops me from seeing if my friends are holding a session and seeing their gardens (and my own) etc. With exams approaching it isn’t ideal, and if this error could be fixed the app would be perfect..Version: 3.5.3

Cute!! But FB not necessarySo far it’s beautiful, rewarding and a lot of fun. I just wish I had the option not to link it to a Facebook account! The fact that you can share with friends if you want is amazing and fantastic. But I would prefer to just sign in by email address. It feels more private, and I like keeping them separate :).Version: 2.5.15

A great incentive to stay focused & travel the worldA fun, interactive way to stay focused. It’s that inspiration you need when you’re lacking motivation! Unlocking the rewards & travelling the world makes you want to keep going. Love the link to sustainability by planting real trees.Version: 3.0.5

Sponsor Opya on TikTokThe only reason I downloaded your app was cause of a video on tiktok. Girl’s name there is Opya. The app seems great so far. Sponsor her.Version: 3.6.3

Get floraHonestly this is the only app that gets me to put down my phone and it’s SO CUTE. If you’re competitive get it with your friends and see who can plant the most trees❤️ you can also set it so certain apps are allowed during your focused time.Version: 3.6.0

Nice :)It’s a cool app! I’ve been using it for a while and I really like the design of it and the function too :)) the only thing I’m wondering about is that I’m constantly getting notifications reminding me to do some tasks to “take the grand tour and start planting trees” for some reason but other than that it’s been helping me manage my time :D I love that you can study and plant trees at the same time.Version: 3.5.4

Great for studyI love the flora app. I’m a horrible procrastinator and part of that is constantly picking up my phone and distracting myself. Have flora means I’m less likely to do that. I set the time I want to focus for (usually in 30 min intervals) and am able to leave my phone alone because I don’t want to break the tree in growing! Even better is the knowledge that by doing so I’m helping plant real life trees too. A great app I’m sure I’ll continue using for years to come!.Version: 3.2.8

It’s been working well.Just got the app. So far I really like it!.Version: 3.6.1

I absolutely love this appThis app allows you to stay motivated by setting a timer for your self and you can see how long you have until that session ends and your break time. Because it plants a tree when you start and when you end you can see the tree in your garden, when you go to different apps it automatically kills the tree making you feel bad and keeps you motivated in your session. i use it when revising and honestly i have done so much progress in two weeks than in the 2 years of my gcse course education! i love that you can also have friends on the app allowing you to see when they are revising and seeing that motivates you to revise with them. you can also set to do lists that notify you and can help you track your progress. i have a recommendation for the app that we can add like study notes or revision cards that can help our friends or ppl on the app as well so it is all in one place and can help us to revise from different notes that are bright looking forward to seeing this app’s progression and success!!🤍.Version: 3.5.3

Overall a good app. But there are some issues...The app is overall good but I have been experiencing issues using it where progress has been deleted. Eg. I have done 70.5 total hours of work and it changes it to 69 hours of work..Version: 3.0.5

Best way to studyThis app helps to keep me focus by counting down the minutes and seconds left of focus time. Helps lock the phone to prevent getting distracted!! Amazing options of plants and trees to grow to make your little weekly garden look the way you want it to. Amazing app for productivity and aesthetics !.Version: 3.2.4

College.I recently started college, and I’ve always had a problem with procrastinating. Flora is a cute app where you can plant a garden just by staying off your phone. & I spent a couple dollars to make my animated trees into real trees! It helps me build life-changing habits and is super rewarding..Version: 2.4.6

I love flora, but can be buggy.I love flora so much, it’s really helped me in recent years to focus for revising when it came to my a level mocks etc. it’s so motivating when you can see your friends hours too and we all find it pushes you to beat one another. Seeing your own little garden is super rewarding too! However recently I’ve found that flora has become really buggy for me. I don’t know if this is an all round thing that everyone is experiencing but my friends seem to experience it too. My flora won’t load a lot of the time so I can’t see my friends current hours or any feed etc. I tried the new app whitelist feature a couple weeks ago and that was quite buggy too, to the point where I tried to reinstall the app to get it to work, however when I tried to log back in, it said my account didn’t exist and I’ve since had to make a new one which is upsetting as I had spent money on the account too. Other than flora being buggy, I love it and it really serves its purpose!.Version: 3.5.3

Super helpful and kinda funReally helps me out to commit to proper blocks of study or work! Keeps me accountable and you want to keep letting the trees grow so that you can unlock new ones... oddly fun haha! ☺️.Version: 3.2.3

VERY motivatingThere’s some kind of fulfilling feeling I get once planting something after I studied a certain time. However, after having this app for a long while it’s just so repetitive and there’s not really much excitement to it. This app needs something new, an update. Like the longer you study, the more plants you grow or something like that. There also needs to be more maps. I have seen some updates which I’m soo excited about, keep up the good work flora team!.Version: 3.6.3

Get it!!Love this! It’s very helpful for studying in university. I have ADHD so I have a very hard time staying on task. This app keeps me accountable..Version: 3.2.10

Good app but severely buggedIt is good for helping people focus and concentrate, but if you have the function to allow certain apps, after a while of not being on flora, the tree died, although you allowed the app. If this is intentional it was not disclosed to the audience of this app. The Trees die for absolutely no reason, and sometimes IOS terminates flora, which ultimately kills the tree, again sometimes i never leave the app and this happens still. But today was the last straw, i turned on my pause feature to facetime a friend, and not even 10 minutes later, Flora stated i killled a tree, although i was on pause mode? This app is very useful and i use it a lot but these things are getting out of hand. This must be fixed before i fail my exams..Version: 3.5.3

Absolute gem for productivity!!I’m currently in preparation for college next year and I have to say, this app is stellar for keeping me motivated! I’m actually getting a bit addicted to making sure my garden is full of new little plants. But it’s the good kind of addiction. I plan to continue using this app to raise my grades and stay focused on my goals. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking to stay on task! As a chronic procrastinator, it’s such a relief being able to get things done(and being rewarded for it)..Version: 2.5.18

Good app! This app is really good I just wish there was a way to tag a session after it’s done. Sometimes I forget to tag it before and then I can’t see how much time I’ve spent on a task total:/.Version: 3.6.3

Friends feature improvementsFirstly, I love this app so much, helps me be so so productive and helps me to stay off my phone when revising! I love the friends feature especially, as it keeps me motivated to not click off when in a session with my friends. However, I think the friends feature could be improved by adding a possible chat feature in the rooms, maybe both voice and text; as well as a possible messages section. Also, being able to post pictures whenever and not just at milestones. Thank you for making you app and I hope this feedback is helpful and is used! Eva :).Version: 3.4.1

Keeps you focusedI love this app! I’m terrible for picking up my phone while studying and spend hours on it before getting back into study. When I use Flora, the second I pick up my phone it reminds me I’m supposed to be studying and only have a few minutes left before I can have a break. After a while I stop craving my phone and get more motivated to study! I really enjoy seeing the garden I grow and absolutely hate when I break my study session and kill a tree. It genuinely motivates me and I’m the laziest uni student ever..Version: 3.2.7

HelpfulI like flora & it is actually very addictive & effective for studying, and it is also free! The only thing I don’t like is that I had heard many apps like this lock you out of apps which was really what I wanted to ensure I stayed focused, but it basically grows a tree for the amount of time you set (I usually go for an hour at a time) and in that hour if you leave the app it will kill the flower/tree that is growing. This sounds very stupid & trivial but you actually do get quite hooked on wanting to save the flower/tree so even though the app doesn’t block apps like Snapchat, it’s still very effective. It also tells you how many hours all together you have been focused for which is really motivating. I’m quite new to it but after a certain number of hours I believe they also plant a real tree for your duration of focus. It’s very good for being free..Version: 2.5.14

Flora is perfectI love this app so much I actually just added it earlier this month without actually knowing about it. I was just looking for the "forest" app but I was shocked when I saw I had to pay for it. Then I looked for other software and then I saw this app and I downloaded it and they gave me a simple and easy to understand instructions, which I feel happy because sometimes I can't understand some of the instructions and they are too complicated . I gave this app five stars.Version: 3.6.3

Aesthetic & practical!Along with how well it keeps me off my phone, the whole concept of “planting trees” is so rewarding, it’s so satisfying to build myself a little garden and it makes me proud to visually see how productive i can be! My friend and i also have little friendly weekly competitions to see who’s done more, i have yet to win :) During school, Flora really motivates me to study & complete work, so if you’re struggling, try it!.Version: 3.4.1

If you struggle with procrastination GET THIS NOW.Stop reading download this app right now then come read this review. Done? Ok let’s start. I struggle with procrastination, lets be honest, we all do. As a high schooler , college student , and eldest immigrant daughter, it’s hard to motivate yourself. You have so much on your mind and you slowly sweep into this pool of emptiness. It’s hard to get back in track and keep pushing. This app really helped me with that. To push away pleasure from games and texting and just focus on work. We tend to avoid things when we are stressed, but then end up in regret right before a due date. This app rewards your studying (and good habits) and helps you get back on track. It’s refreshing to see your plant grow at the end of your progress. The Friends feature is motivating. You get to see your friends progress and their little garden. The feature where both you and your friend get a shared time and if one of you goes on an app for too long... the tree dies. It helps keep both of you in check and be responsible. Quite funny when they kill the plant on purpose just for sh**s and giggles HAHAHAHAH!!! Anyways, even if you aren’t a student and just want to just sit down read a book or work on a personal project, this is a great helper! It’s free download it and explore it yourself! For a new app, it is almost perfect. I’m quite excited to see what they have in store for us. I don’t have any problems with it yet! Enjoy~❤️.Version: 3.0.4

Fantastic! It's a great way to make sure you're not addicted to your phone and helps you focus! I've used it for over a month now and no complaints..Version: 2.4.6

Great app for accountabilityI have adhd and so find motivation to do work and stay off my phone away from distraction (ie dopamine) very difficult, and this app with the cute little trees and berries and stuff makes it that tiny bit more enjoyable to revise mind-numbingly-boring college subjects :) Also you can have a garden with friends in order to have further accountability and show off your flowers and stuff. There’s also a feature where you can set a price of money to pay to the company or charity or something idk, if you don’t go on your phone, but in truth idk who is that dedicated to revision (and rich enough) to afford to literally pay when you get distracted lol..Version: 3.5.1

Great updateGreat update, I love the new features. A lot easier to use with friends and in terms of allocating times to different tasks.Version: 3.0.2

Love it so far!Ok, so this is still only the first day that I’ve had Flora. But I’ve loved it so far! It’s really helped me to maintain focus while studying (especially helpful during online learning, when it’s all too tempting to start scrolling through Instagram!) but also just to take time away from my phone, and I’m going to try dedicating screen-free time every day. I especially love the ability to track habits this way, with goals for amount of time spent doing that habit each day. In fact, the whole method of tracking goals by time is great because it’s the kind of thing that I’ve tried and failed to track on my own (e.g. total hours of study per week), especially when I keep getting distracted by my phone mid-study session. The only thing I would say is that it might be nice to have a space more fully dedicated to goals and habit tracking — there isn’t a page for it like in the preview pictures, which might be because I’m using a newer version, though the UI is overall still pretty slick. So far, I’m loving this app and will definitely be spending money on Flora Care (which, by the way, I love that you can do — helping real trees get planted while improving my own organisation? Yes please!).Version: 3.1.2

Fun way to stay on task and great for kids too! This app is awesome! Is a really fun way to stay focused and on task for people with ADHD. Speaking from experience, I work best when I set a goal or reward at the end of my task. Is usually clean rest, meaning I get to do whatever I want 30 min-1hr. But this app has given me an extra reward at the end of my tasks. I do t usually get distracted with my phone but everything else around me is a distraction, but with Flora I get to see the time left on my task so it motivates me to work faster and also rewards me with a cute tree or flower at the end. I’m always so curious to see what grows. I downloaded the app on my kids phones as well because they have ADHD as well and I home school them so is really easy for them to get distracted. Ow they are motivated to see what grows at the and of their school focus time and I even heard them saying they are going to compete to see who can grow the most trees and flowers. 😂! Totally recommend for kids and adults ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.5.4

Fun to useHaven’t used all the features yet but it’s definitely helping me eat the frog and stay focused on mundane tasks.Version: 3.2.3

It’s a needIt makes me so productive, I highly recommend.Version: 3.6.3

Working life changed!I had been struggling for months feeling like I was wasting time at work, and therefore working more hours than I needed to be and beating myself up in the progress. I felt so guilty I literally started praying for an ability to focus. Enter the flora app. With this app, I can now focus on commas as it keeps me from my major distractors. I’ve also learned more about myself, like how much focused time I really have in me in a day and how long I can actually sustain focus on average. I cannot recommend this app enough. And in fact, I’ve been recommending to everyone I know. Additional Perks: I like that I can still have music playing in the background, since that can sometimes help me focus. And I also like that I can pause the countdown for quick things, like if I’ve forgotten to turn on said music. 😉.Version: 3.0.5

Recommend 100%Not only is this amazing app helping people recognize things about nature and stuff but also it’s really really motivating me to work much more. If I hadn’t gotten this app then I would’ve just gone on my phone while saying I was studying but this app doesn’t let you come out of the app until you’ve finished your study session. Amazing right well that’s not it on top of that this app gives you stats to see how much better you’ve done from either the past week or month. Aswell as that if you are to leave the app or X out of the study session on your report thingy it shows you’ve killed a tree. This made me so upset to see that on my reporty thing so I decided to do more work (Quite smart whoever did that not gonna lie). After doing a study session you earn a new tree or plant to add to your garden to make it more full. I strongly recommend this app it’s amazing for if you actually want to study hard maybe for exams (like me) or just studying in general. I hope this app helps for you like how it did for me. Also I have a thing that you could add to make your beautiful app even better. Why not add a new tab that would allow the user of the app to make small things to help them revise this could be like online flash cards or maybe even something that would allow the user to create their own mini quiz for them and their friends to use. Just a suggestion though. Hoping to see new changes 🤞✨🤍.Version: 3.2.16

AmazingSeeing how other apps require you to charge for this service makes me appreciative of Flora. I trialled this leading up to my mid year exam period and I noticed just how much time I was wasting while studying. It keeps me on track; the competition between friends, ability to put stakes on my time and just be rewarded with a plant for doing my work, keeps me on task. Couldn’t recommend more..Version: 3.3.1

Best concentration appThis app really helped me be motivated to NOT grab my phone. The free way of using the app is by growing plants. You do this by starting a timer of your time choice. If you do not tough your phone in the time you selected the plant grows and adds to your garden. If you grab your phone and leave the app to do something else like social media the plant dies and none of your time is recorded for that session. You can get serious with the app and do it the “ putting money where your mouth is” way by betting a dollar amount of your choice that you will complete the time you selected. If you don’t complete the focus time the money you bet goes to many different great organization for developing countries and forestation organizations. Also, the app allows you to have friends to motivate each other. Love this app!.Version: 3.0.3

Pretty good.I find flora easy to use. It’s just that sometimes I wish they had music to play while studying or focusing. Other than that it’s amazing.Version: 3.2.4

AmazingReally helpful when studying for exams Gives you motivation to spend the time for each section.Version: 3.2.4
