Can’t live without itThis app has completely changed my life. Personal mobility based on your weaknessI had used ROMWOD for over a year but decided to switch because I didn’t feel like I was getting the ROM in the areas I needed it most. Good Idea, Could ImproveI love the idea of the app. It gives you a pre assessment and you can track your progress, which is the only reason I am choosing it over other apps. The pre and post wod help, but could be a little more specific. The daily exercises don’t seem to change much, which can be boring doing the same stretches everyday. I’d recommend adding even more variations of stretching because after the first month you have learned all the stretches they provide and can easily program it yourself..Version: 1.7.0

New to thisI’ve always been a little sceptical about these apps for stretching and the like, but I decided to have a go at GOWOD premium after trialling the free version for a while. I don’t know why I waited so long, really easy to follow (although it makes me feel like a stiff old man) and brilliant the fact that you can adjust time periods you have spare, and the actual area you need help with the most. Changed my lifeI always thought i was working on mobility relatively well. But when progression slowed, I thought may aswell try the free trial GOWOD had on at the time, then quickly changed to the subscription option after seeing progression. Excellent app for mobility.This is a versatile app for mobility - basically, “stretching.” You can target specific problem areas or let the app diagnose your needs with a simple test and suggest movements that target the areas you need to work on. Each movement has a video to show you the prescribed method of doing each movement, but also has scaled (easier) versions of each mcimwbt with their own videos..Version: 2.8.0

Almost thereI have been using this app for the past 3 weeks after subscribing following my free trial. It’s great that it will programme specific moves to match your areas of weakness. The only thing that frustrates me so much is that when you leave the app mid-protocol, to change song for example, the app often thinks it has been closed down and resets. The only option then is to start a completely different protocol and any progress made already is lost. This really needs sorting!!.Version: 2.7.7

Incredibly HelpfulI am the type that follows programs well. I like structure and someone to tell me what to do. In the mobility world there are just so many videos, opinions, and of course professionals. This app is the perfect balance. It does an assessment and builds a program specifically for you with assessment points every 30 days. I found that areas I thought were the weakness were not, at all. I thought my hips were the problem and this tool clearly identified my shoulders and overhead reach as issues. And after doing some of the program, man was it right. Worth every penny. A really useful addition to my training but the movement instructions are lacking some detailI am nearing the end of my free trial and have used the app at least once every day. I love that it recommends movements specific to my weak points and WOD exercises. However there are three issues I am struggling with: 1. The instructions for each movement could be improved as it’s sometimes not clear whether you should hold a position for the time shown, or repeat a movement during the specified time. This isn’t helped by the accompanying video which repeats itself - seeing the model move in and out of a movement several times makes me think I should be performing it more than once. 2. All of the videos feature highly mobile models and therefore movement standards that will be impossible for some users to perform. Scaled versions would be useful and safer I think. The mobility test videos show different ranges of movement - can you do the sane for the exercises? 3. Finally the videos can be hard to view in portrait mode - could you make them resize when the phone is rotated?.Version: 1.4.3

The best stretching APPTried the others & everything from needing to be a “ballerina” to do them or such annoying voice overs you want to smash your “ph” GOWOD is basic stretches with a good flow held for time frames that work. It manages your progress works on key weaknesses. Options of times & specifics areas are great..Version: 2.8.0

Addition of Theragun is awesome!First, I don’t use this app as consistently as I should. Even though, I know it will help my mobility significantly. That aside, I really like the app. When I’m short on time, I can choose shorter routines. Periodic testing also adjusts the protocols to help me with my weak, or tight, areas as my body changes over time. That said, consistency should not be a problem for me. 😜 Recently, GOWOD added the Theragun to the protocols as an option. This. Is. Awesome! I’ve had the Theragun since Christmas 2019 and it does help me activate muscles before workouts. Now, having it rolled into a guided pre and post workout protocol is fantastic. And, this might be the motivator that gets me using it consistently. One wish list item - adding suggested uses of something like the Compex muscle stimulation devices would be another game changer. Good app but encountered a few errorsI liked this app but unfortunately I had to cancel my subscription as the main thing I used it for was to save time as it meant I didn’t have to spend time figuring out my own daily plans. All was working well, but about 2 weeks in it kept only recommending the same daily protocol with no changes (this happened for a further two weeks) I would be open to using this again should the bugs be resolved in the future but until that point I won’t be paying as it doesn’t seem worth it if there is no variety in the plan!.Version: 2.1.1

A bendy revolutionI began as a overweight 42yr old who struggled to cut my toenails and for all the app hasn’t reversed time or provided a drastic body transformation I have STARTED and the effects are superb. My legs and back feel looser after a couple of weeks and I actually feel calmer, less anxious and irate and without having outwardly changed much I can feel more of a spring in my step which is extremely welcome! Perfect mobility workoutI love using this app first thing in the morning to get my blood moving. It is nice to use because you see the movement you need to do, but can play a podcast or music in the background. I have used this app for a month now and saw my mobility percentage go from 68% all the way up to 83% in a short amount of time. Danged near a 5!!Fantastic app to get you ready, give you recovery, and loosen you up! Its ability to create mobilizations based on your profile is excellent and the option to pick a time that is suitable for you in any WOD is a great feature. Excellent app!This is without doubt the best app I have used for mobility work. Test, retest methodology is brilliant to demonstrate progress and the pre, post and daily protocols just what you need. Only negative and point of difference where it lacks in comparison to ROMWOD is that GOWOD doesn’t seem to have audio countdown cues. If these were added it would be perfect!.Version: 2.7.1

Good app - just needs final tweaksI think the app has a great variety of how you’d like to improve mobility and the daily flow that caters for specific needs keeps it personable and accountable. Things like having better options for those (me) with really poor mobility. For example theirs some moves where I can’t perform the scaled version - simply saying decrease the ROM isn’t helpful. An ability to select from the library to create your own flow would be great! Sometime the flows make you use kit that I don’t have and therefore I can’t do it..Version: 2.8.0

Great app but some log in issuesI love how the app is catered to the individual and improving all mobility! 100+ hoursI love this app. I have more flexibility at 51 than I did at 21. In my day stretching was a five minute light touch. GOWOD interface is simple and geared to get you through the session. I use it 3x/day now. About an hours worth. Whatever you do, I suggest to also spend a second session working on your weakest areas. I do 2-22min sessions with 8minx2 on my stubborn regions..Version: 3.1.3

Best on the marketGOWOD stands out from all other stretching apps by covering everything you would need. It generates specific combinations depending on what movements you are warming up/cooling down for/from. There are daily stretches to help with your weaknesses. Great tool for self developmentI have a background in Exercise Science so most of these movements are what I already know and preform, but the key for me is to follow a daily regiment and track progress. I read reviews stating that there isn’t much customization within the app; one user stated they can’t select a certain amount of time. I found that if you just pause the timer and work through it at your own pace (mine being a few minutes longer with certain movements) that resolved the issue easily enough. Extremely Happy...And Wanting MoreI’m thankful to have an guided and easy way to both increase and measure my mobility. My wife and I will both be staying on as Premium members. Feedback: Something useful would be having the ability to select which tools I have on hand that can be incorporated into my “daily flow”. Similar to how we plug in specific movements for pre and post WOD. An example would be that I could select that I have a lacrosse ball and roller available for my “daily flow”. First time touching my toesI am 15 and have always only been able to reach my knees when reaching for the ground, it was horrible and the pain of stretching or sitting was unbearable as I couldn’t sit upright unless I was on a chair which affected my sports. I tried stretching many times over the past few years to the point where I recently tore part of my hamstring I believe because i pushed it too far. Great app overallLove this app overall and I’m really glad you added challenges as it helps promote consistency, or at the very least getting a certain amount of mobility work in. Perhaps other users dictated the change, but I much preferred the smaller, segmented picker for selecting time when going to a specific movement/stretch in library. I would LOVE if you could move the Favorites scrollview to another spot. Perhaps, to the right of “Protocols” and “Library” in that segmented picker? Then allow a similar list view as is shown in the exercise list with the smaller pictures. Having more than a few favorites is maybe not the intent, but even like 10 can feel quite cumbersome to scroll across to get to one at the end of the line..Version: 3.4.1

Almost great with a frustrating bugThe exercises are awesome and have been a great help but there is a bug that has been around for about 8 months where the timer for exercises is wrong which can be a pain. I reported it and it looks like they keep testing out a fix that also has useful videos for the exercises. But whenever I get the static photos then I also have the timer bug. Please fix this! This app is brilliant!I love GoWOD. It’s simple to use and gives you the perfect amount of guidance to ensure you’re doing the ‘move’ correctly. Some moves too complicatedLove how this app is set up. The major issue I have with it, is that some of the moves are so complicated (even on easy) and I don’t have the flexibility quite yet to do the move which ends up in me not feeling the stretch. Good stretches, but I wish I could personalize moreYes, there are new specific flows, but I still think this app lacks a lot of personalization. Here’s a list of things I wish they would improve: 1) Allow the user to choose the workout time. The current options are 8, 15, and 22 minutes (excuse me if I left a couple times out). Why can’t I do a 12 minute session? Or a 35 minute session? Session duration should be left up to the user. 2) Customizable stretch times. Sometimes, the sessions want you to hold a position for 3 minutes. This is helpful at times but can be an annoyance at others. I think an option of “no positions longer than x minutes” would be a great improvement. 3) customizable equipment. Frequently, on the pre and post WOD modes, the sessions require items ranging from a foam roller, lacrosse ball, PVC pipe, and/or barbell. The user should be able to tell you what they have at their disposal and make a protocol off of that. Overall, I think this app is a great tool for improving mobility, possible one of the best on the market. But the lack of customizability is bothersome..Version: 2.7.7

Almost perfectPros: - Haven’t seen an app focused on being flexible and mobility quite like this one. -Great looking user interface and has a huge library. Cons: - Pre-post workout routines rely on knowing CrossFit exclusive exercises. Love this app!I’ve always suffered from lower back pain due to my poor mobility yet I pushed through and continued my workouts making everything tighter and tighter. The app changes the stretches you do based on your weak points so it’s not super boring. Makes mobility funI am very competitive and this app gave me a fun way to compete against myself in my own mobility game. That’s what I was looking for.As an aging athlete I need to work on my flexibility more than ever. This app has some thing that a lot of others don’t. Giving a fitness assessment upfront allows the app to tailor you’re stretching to your needs and it gives you a way to track your progress. Go wodI love it my mobility has slowly gotten better on a daily basis and you learn weaknesses you would otherwise not notice for example my weakness was my hips which are significantly tight as compared to the rest of my body I love to wake up to my daily protocol And at night Ill do a post wod stretch where it will generate a protocol based on the wod.Version: 2.8.0

Absolute beginner and this is PERFECT!I work behind a desk all day and I was also so stiff trying to even just walk around. So I asked my mate whose a CrossFit instructor for a website of stretches that can help. He pointed me in the direction of this app. And it’s completely exceed my expectations. You even do a tests which bench marks you (my posterior chain was 13% - that’s how bad I was) and it tailor made me a routine. Along with it’s expensive library. Great App for flexibility - But often crashesThe app and the content of it are great there is a no say in that, hats off! The reason I’m giving here 4 stars is that I hate it that the app often crashes. For example, I started my flexibility did 2-3 forms and then something came up I had to pause my routine run the errand for 15-20min and then when I come back to the app the whole progress will be gone, not that I had to start everything from the beginning, but I wouldn’t even know what were the previously suggested movements. I wish they did some type of a history that would track what have I done for the past weeks and months and in this case if I have started one and then haven’t finished it, I would be able to go back to it. This app really deserves a 5 star and more, but not being able to store data or crashing too often is a huge disappointment for me, because having such a quality of content you definitely need to have good functionality..Version: 4.11.1

Feel light and flexible in minutesI’m using GoWoD to stretch pre/post workout and I love the fact it understands you might be short on time so it gives you 8, 15, 22min plans. It’s become synonymous with my The stimulus overview is a great visualiser, making sure i’m hitting the right areas and feeling the stretch. I would love to see some swipe functionality between the instructions and stimulus tabs as often I am in the middle of a stretch trying to tap on the button multiple times I also don’t quite understand what “Automatic Flow” is as the description doesn’t quite explain it. Perfect daily support for my workoutsAlmost a month in, I love this app and what it does for me. The mobility test showed me my tight areas; the daily protocols stretch them (and other areas) and leave me feeling great; and the pre- and post-workout protocols, using a few simple tools, prepare my muscles to move and lift and help them to recover. Good not greatSo far I’m enjoying GOWOD. I feel like between using the daily WOD and pre/post WODs my mobility is slowly improving. (Which flexibility should improve slowly). However, there is definitely room for improvement with this app. 1.) The videos aren’t so much videos as they are GIFs. They do not have volume explaining movements. They don’t even change sides from left to right when doing different sides of the body. It can be very annoying at times. 2.) The “videos” are not follow along at all and this app is not for you if you need follow along instructions. You have a moving GIF like picture and I stop watch feature 3.) A family plan option would be great. Multiple people in my house would love to use GOWOD but I’m not gong to pay $10-$12 per person to do so. Overall, I am 20+ days into it and do feel I’m improving mobility. That is the most important thing to me. We will see when I retest in 8 days.Version: 2.8.0

Love it and next stepsI love this app! It’s so good for working on any of your weaknesses and gives a personalised stretching routine for each session; both pre and post training session. The one thing that would improve this further for me would be to incorporate stretches for traditional gym equipment and exercises. At the moment it is programmed for crossfit specifically, which is great but this would make it more user friendly for those of us who incorporate crossfit training with other gym based exercises..Version: 4.0.0

Totally worth the subscriptionI initially downloaded the app to improve my overall mobility through the daily flow. Eventually I started including the pre and post wod protocols. I was totally taken off guard by how much these helped in my recovery. The app targeted areas I didn’t even know were tight based upon the movements I had undertaken that day. Super easy to useI’ve been using for 2 weeks and really enjoy the app. My background is triathlon, so it would be great to see more specificity towards other sports, but I still find it incredibly useful. I’d love to be able to analyse/track session data more than just seeing cumulative time, or even maybe a future link to 3rd party apps like Strava, training peaks etc, but as I’ve yet to do a 2nd test, maybe I’ll see some data then.
