Doesn’t do what it’s meant toDoes not accurately show charging amps into phone. Not accurate in slightest. Uses a timer to see how long your battery percentage changes? As accurate as measuring wind speed by licking your finger. Gave it two stars cause it’s cheap. Was only more waste of time then money.Version: 2.1.4

A piece of garbage!!!The app just sits there in a loop just testing and testing and testing it takes forever and then doesn't do anything. There's no progress indicator and no way of knowing how long it's going to take or if anything is actually happening at all which it turns out nothing is. A worthless garbage app that's not worth the bits of storage that it takes up. This app is literally does nothing but show you an animated battery..Version: 2.1.5

Pointless, misleading appThe app is simply trying to time the charge and nothing more. No access to hardware sensors at all. Even this does not work properly, it gives out completely random results. Takes random amount of time for a test on the same charger/phone. Waste of money, you are better off timing a charge level with a stop watch..Version: 4.0.9

Don’t waste your moneyTested against ruideng usb tester. App says charging rate of 7.5 watts, while actually drawing 12watts. This app doesn’t take into account battery conditions and other factors. Very generic. There’s nothing out there that will give you precise charging information other than a real USB in-line tester..Version: 3.0.10

Use your watch to time how long it takes to increase charge by 1% and you have all the app doesComplete waste of $$ this app does absolutely NOTHING but time how long it takes your battery to increase 1% and creates a subjective rating with no detail. You can download much better apps like coconut battery for free!.Version: 2.1.4

Charging test results in total nonsense.I tried it on the same charger 3 times in a row, was told vastly different currents each time. The results are clearly wrong/meaningless. Guaging the current pulled from different adapters was the one job I got it for, and it can't even handle it. I ended up just using my multimeter with needles attached. Also the user interface is a total train wreck..Version: 4.0.4

Warnings are too lateThe first thing I saw after I bought this app: “Due to some limitations in current versions of iOS, it's impossible to obtain charging results directly from the system. Therefore, Amperes uses the only available but slow method.” Isn’t this something I should have been told before I bought the app, not after?.Version: 4.0.22

Close to uselessDoesn't really tell you much that you can't find somewhere in system settings natively. Particularly disappointed with the battery measurement features. Really doesn't tell you much other than whether it's charging, and current battery level, which you can lookup but simply raising your eyes to the IPad's upper right corner..Version: 4.0.21

Useful, but lackingI bought this because I thought the tests would show the charging wattage just like the free version of Ampere does. However it only shows the result in mA. Which is disappointing because I'm using it to evaluate two wireless chargers that were sold based one their wattage output.. I don't know why the free version would have that and not the paid. Additionally, the "export results" button doesn't work at all on my iPhone XS..Version: 2.1.5

Cant get same reading twiceTook multiple readings and the results aren't even close. Anywhere from 0.8 to 1.5. Not reliable.Version: 4.0.8

Never does anythingClick Start test and it just says “Starting” leave it there for 20 minutes never does anything. Tried multiple times, reinstalling app, restarting phone, everything I could think of to get it to work and different chargers too. Wireless and wired.. it’s always been this way even when I bought the app over two years ago when I had iPhone 11 Pro Max IR but I came back to try it again and still never does anything just “starting” .. This time with my iPhone 13 latest iOS 17 ..At least the free app worked sometimes if u let an ad run.Version: 4.0.22

GimmickThis doesn’t actually really measure anything. It just times how long your phone battery takes to go up 1% then guesses how much power that took. It varies wildly with how much other stuff your phone was doing even how strong your cell signal was effects the results. On top of that it takes a long time too. Ok for a free app maybe but for a paid app it should do way better..Version: 4.0.9

Not as described. The app description should be updated to reflect that it no longer measures charger and cable performance as advertised. The app developers tell you this AFTER you’ve paid, not before, and that’s bad business..Version: 4.0.22

Misleading information about this app.I bought this app after searching for something to allow me to see the rate my iPad is charging at. This doesn’t do that at all. I know its Charing, and I know the level the battery is at; the iPad itself can tell me that. Not impressed..Version: 4.0.7

I give upI have tried multiple apps which promise to measure charge rates. But none can it seems isn’t he iOS11 world. This am simply guesstimates rate by timing a 2% charge... Not the developer’s fault, but I am done wasting money chasing a unicorn. Thanks Apple! I guess they don’t want people knowing how crummy a charger they ship with the iPad pro’s....Version: 2.1.2

InaccurateI tried this app with several USB-C chargers with the same cable and I got wildly differing results. For example , I have 2 similar chargers - different models from the same manufacturer - but with the same fast charge specs and the results are never similar. Please don’t use this app..Version: 4.0.8

Something is wrongThe app doesn’t work anymore on my iPhone 15 or ios 17. Testing time is taking very long time and the end result shows very low wattage (1 watt) which is not right. Please fix. I paid for this app not too long ago. Didn’t get much use yet..Version: 4.0.21

Not accurate at all!If you compare the results to a Volt/Watt meter that plugs in between the charger and the phone you get actual results. The app is not reliable. It would show that I get 25.9 Watts from a 20 Watt charger?! Where as the physical meter tool reads an appropriate ~18/19 Watts... waste of money.Version: 4.0.17

Used to work greatI use this app frequently. Since iOS 17 update this app will no longer test wireless charging or MagSafe charging. The percent climbs slower but the app doesn’t register or calculate the charging wattage. Very disappointing. I don’t want to have to pay for another app because this one is t working properly..Version: 4.0.21

Same problem as poster 27th septFar too slow. Battery level was at 80% Been running for over half an hour which is just far too long to have to wait for a result Edit: just ram the wizzard wish took a while so popped out. Came back, wizard had closed so no results grrrrrrrrrr. Seems that the results are not stored unless i missed something? Talk about frustrating I know its only 99p but want a refund please.Version: 4.0.6

I’m strongly doubt about the accuracy of the charging testAs I was doing the first test on my iPhone XR with the 18w charger that I got from my iPad Pro the meter reads a wattage of 27.87w. It was impossible for the charger to deliver such wattage, as it only capable of delivering 18w, let alone the loss in the power transmission process. I was expecting a number like 15w so it makes sense..Version: 4.0.10

That was a waste of money. While testing the charge rate of different wires (in airplane mode so there’s no interference) I get 3 different readings in 3 tests. Whenever I hit test my screen goes black. The light setting has gone down to the lowest. When I click settings the program crashes and closes. I had better luck with the free version..Version: 3.0.1

No longer worksI used to love this app, but it unfortunately doesn’t work anymore. The tests no longer finish. Even after running a test for 30 min and my phone charging about 40%, the app still says the test is “running”. This app is useless if it never completes and doesn’t give you any results..Version: 4.0.21

Hard to understandDoesn’t say you have to have certain charge levels before you download so you can’t just use it straight away. Messy user interface. They haven’t really thought about ease of use..Version: 4.0.2

Battery capacity Don’t workThe hole reason I bought the app was to be alerted when my battery is at a certain charge amount. However it does not alert me at the set charge number..Version: 4.0.7

Absolute rubbishTest takes too long, no indication of how far it has gone & never completed on my phone. Save your money!.Version: 2.1.7

Pure garbage appI do not recommend this application. I installed it on my iPhone 8 fully update it reached 100. Which I set it up! Nothing happened my phone was still charging and over charging..Version: 3.0.6

5 amps?Girlfriend, no..Version: 4.0.6

Way too random and unreliable.I used to trust this, but recently its just giving random test results. Either all my devices, cables, PSU’s etc have become faculty, or the amp is just not doing what it’s supposed to. Testing 3 times gives huge differences on my iPad Pro 2017 and iPhone XS Max. Each test drops but up to a 3rd of the the previous test. After 3 consecutive tests my 30watt Apple charger went from 25watts, down to 5watts...apparently. This is happening with at least 3 high powered USB C chargers/cables that do actually fast charge fine..Version: 4.0.7

Amps????It’s called amperes, I expected to be able to see the actual amps that were coming into the iPhone. I could measure the time it takes to charge to a certain percent myself. Please add an incoming amperage readout. And voltage please! I will move it up to five stars otherwise you can get this same stuff for free..Version: 2.1.4

Takes forever apparently!Followed the instructions and it just would stay on testing. Never gave result. I quit the test after 10 minutes with no results. App developer told me it takes as much as 10 minutes sometimes depending on the speed on my charger ..etc..Version: 2.0.1

Does not work - misleading app descriptionI have an iPad Pro 2nd gen and I just bought this app to measure the charging amperage so that I can select the best charger and cable. It loads up fine, and to test the amperage it says that it should take max 10 mins. First of all, it doesn’t do anything for over 1 hour (and yes I pressed the button to start the test) Second, it was not clear in the app details on the App Store that it takes 10mins to work out the amperage. Also, I guess that the amperage is calculated based on time, battery percentage and battery capacity. So this is a mathematical estimate rather than a sensor reading, which I would want to know before I paid to use this app. I bought an amp measuring dongle instead, which will give me real time accurate data. +update I read the developer’s response. I understand why the app had to change its testing method. I would suggest to make that clear in the app description. If it was, then I would not have purchased it. Also, I tried the testing with many chargers and cables, including Apple’s own. I left it to run for over 30mins and it never gives a result. I sympathise with with the developer for the way he was treated by Apple, but I don’t think that I should pay for that..Version: 4.0.4

Well that was $1.39 wasted!Test never worked. WaSTE.Version: 2.1.4

Takes 10 minutes to measure the actual charging speedI wanted to use this app to figure out the quality of the different USB-C cables that I have. But it takes between 5 and 10 minutes EACH time to measure the charging wattage of a cable. Sorry, but that is just useless for comapring mutliple cables. I got myself a USB Meter for $16 and it does the job immediately and accurately..Version: 4.0.21
