After many failed attempts, the best I could get is the app recognizing my TV’s device name. I’d click connect, it would warn me about recording everything (it should be mirroring, not recording!), and that’s the end. It would say it’s mirroring, but nothing appeared on the TV - zero visible changes. ✓ It works... but!!!It does what it says it does but web browsers chrome and safari are not fully supported. You will need to install puffin web browser. This mirror technology also has a slight delay/latency even after installing airbeam tv on my Sony Bravia. Like i said. This really does work but not what I was fully looking for. ✓ Slow TransmissionIt worked for mirroring my iPad screen to my Sony smart TV, not hard at all to set up. But there is a transmission delay of about three seconds, a quite serious problem if you are planning to set this up for virtual meetings such as Zoom or Google Meet. Also, the display did not fill up my entire (large) TV screen; there may be a setting to fix that. But I am still looking for the right IOS to Sony mirroring app..Version: 3.4
✓ Useless other than for photosYou would think for the price the app would be able to cope with video, it really struggles. Everything is pixelated and it is lagging 9 seconds behind. I read all the reviews below and stupidly still went ahead with it as the developers seem to be blaming connection speeds and routers and our internet is great (we are right next to the exchange and we have a great router). The only reason I am giving this 2 stars is that it worked first time and you could use it to show photos if you wanted to. I am expecting a developer response asking for diagnostics. I took a chance to download this £4.99 app as it seemed to work for some people and not others. My device! I have an iPhone 12 pro with free Apple TV+ content and arcade. My phone contact with EE also gives me free BT sports. The good! The app allows me to mirror my screen generally with videos and pictures from your camera roll not being a problem. I can also watch BT sports on the big screen 👍🏼 The bad! I am unable to view my content from the Apple TV app. No downloaded movies or online content will play. 👎🏼 I have Virgin media go and this also will not allow me to mirror the screen. 👎🏼 The amount of lag time between what you see on the screen vs what’s on your phone is about 4 seconds. It would be useless for big screen gaming 👎🏼 In short yes this does work but not for everything so I would say It’s not worth the price look elsewhere! FYI!
