Crashing AppThis app is unreliable! Every time they update the app signs you out and locks you out !!! So if you bought a monthly pass or a few passes you can’t access them ! I’ve had to delete the app and reload it several times, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t!.Version: 2.4.4

Great App but Gold bar doesn’t flashI’m not certain if its just my phone or any other phone but I have a fully loaded app and whenever I click on the supposed to be glowing gold flash, it’s not working. l have to constantly need to tell driver that I still have the days/hours but App doesn’t let me board. They need to manually consider it..Version: 2.3.9

Don’t do it.10/10 would not recommend this app, or this transportation system. It’s honestly a waste of time and you would get places faster by walking if you don’t die first on the way there. The app doesn’t update the streetcars or buses when there are delays, and the city itself is under too much construction for this to be functional..Version: 2.3.7

Don’t depend on thisThis app would be so amazing if it actually functioned properly. I buy the month long jazzy-passes since I ride the streetcar to & from work and to the various places I frequent in the city. The mornings are TYPICALLY not an issue, but any time after 10am my pass will disappear or not load meaning I now have to either walk home or take a lyft since I don’t keep exact change for the fare on me at all times. I’ve lost weeks worth of rides keeping tickets through this app. I hoped the updates would fix it and even submitted a complaint via email but never received a response. Definitely not getting duped by this again. Also, the schedules for the St. Charles streetcar line are never close to accurate..Version: 2.4.0

Tracker just doesn’t workIf you’re trying to get anywhere late at night, don’t bother. The app shows streetcars that aren’t there and doesn’t show ones that are. Waited through multiple “due” rides too many times. You’re better off taking the cab than waiting on the corner for 30+ minutes waiting to get robbed. Absolutely never click board til you’re ON the bus or streetcar or you’ll waste money. And NEVER plan your night around the schedule it gives. You’ll end up leaving events you paid a lot of money for to catch a bus or streetcar that never shows up leaving you to pay more to get home or risk the walk home. This app is negligent..Version: 2.3.7

Still not dependableMultiple times this month (including this morning), app can't log me in (JSON error) or will eventually let me log in but won't remember my card information and tickets. Walking an hour+ to work, now..Version: 2.4.4

Persistent, unfixable errorThis app worked for a while and then I started to get a error when trying to log in. Resetting my password and reinstalling the app did not work. I have been locked out of the app for months and had many calls with RTA customer support, who cannot help. The developers of this app have done a poor job and are not supporting the app..Version: 2.3.7

As Reliable As RTA’s ServiceSo about 50% reliable. The app can only work as intended if the GPS works on all of the transit vehicles, & it only works on about half of them. New Orleans RTA often will change an entire route 10 minutes before it’s due at a particular stop. Typical reasons are- Big trucks scared the drivers, a branch fell in the road, there was an ambulance on the side of the road, the sun set a certain way, etc. So it’s paramount to know what all buses are doing in order to gauge which route to take. Also, times will appear inaccurately for hours at a time. Whatever you do, don’t trust this app unless you can see the Bus/Streetcar on GPS, or if you have a physical schedule in your hand that gives the accurate times..Version: 2.4.3

Several problems using this appI bought two three day tickets on my phone but could only access one. I sent an email asking fir help. Still waiting for a reply. The app logs you off at irregular times intervals, so when you see a streetcar coming don’t wait to pull up your app. It may require you to sign back in even if you just did it recently. Use for yourself only. If you are traveling with someone else, have them set you their own account. Or- use cash. It works when the app fails you..Version: 2.4.3

App Became UnusableI downloaded the app and it worked well the first day. Day 1 I purchased a single ride. Day 2 I purchased a Jazzy Day pass that used twice, but by the evening the app repeatedly crashed each time I tapped to view current tickets. I force-closed the app, restarted my phone, deleted and reinstalled the app, and the same problem persisted, making the app (and purchased ticket) unusable..Version: 2.0

UnusableIt won’t let me sign in because it says I don’t have an account but I can’t create an account because it says I already have one. The old app doesn’t work now. Back to cash. Edit: now it crashes at launch every time so it’s literally impossible to use Edit 2: Finally stopped crashing but single tickets immediately expire upon use. Hit the board button and they’re gone. Can’t even scan them, you have to show the driver you’re hitting the button. 24-hour passes expired in minutes. As of January 2019 it’s still a problem on iPhone 6s..Version: 2.3.6

Fix the app name!Please remove the 2.0 from the app name!!! My iPhone immediately changes 20 to 2.0 with predictive text due to this app. I'm ready to delete the app altogether if you don't fix this..Version: 2.4.5

Awful appIt has logged me out of three different emails. However when I use my password it tells me my password is no good. So then I reset my password to which I’m told “Error. One or more errors occurred”. I have money in all three email accounts and no way to access my tickets in the app. In other words, this app is unfortunately total garbage..Version: 2.4.4

Don’t Go MobileThe new version doesn’t have much of a difference to the old one . The bus locations are still off and the times are way different from when the bus actually shows up . I don’t what’s going on with RTA but they aren’t doing much of a good job with this app every time they do a update it gets much slower and sometimes doesn’t even load . Then let’s not add the bus times are way off from the time the bus actually arrives the app says the bus is due but the buses always sit at a stop after the time the app says it will arrive..Version: 2.3.2

Can’t activate 3 passes purchased together at once.I love using this app for single fare tickets, but I just bundled three together and could only activate one of the three at a time. This caused a problem when my parents and I tried to board and only one ticket was active. Please fix this in your next update, or educate your drivers on how to trouble shoot this issue—if there is already a workaround..Version: 2.3.6

Hit and missThe App is a mildly convenient way to purchase a ticket, view routes, and receive line alerts. But the arrival times are wildly misleading. Several times have missed a street car simply because the timer isn’t accurate to where the car is. Or says a car is approaching just to see now car arrive. If RTA could actually track their cars better this would be a better app. LSU can track their transportation to the T. Why can’t a city figure it out?.Version: 2.4.3

App crashes when you try to buy ticketsI use the canal street streetcars everyday going to and from work. I tried to use the old app but it doesn’t allow you to by single fair tickets. The jazzy passes are more expensive than just buying a regular ticket if you use the streetcar twice per day, 5 days per week (I.e a normal commuter schedule). I had hoped this new version would be better and offer other ticket forms however it is impossible to tell as it crashes every time I open the ticket purchase section of the app..Version: 2.0

Great When It WorksI feel like I’m cursed when it comes to this app. If I don’t want to ride the streetcar that day, it works perfectly. The second I decide I want to use it, it logs me out and stops working..Version: 2.4.4

UnusableI just got to New Orleans. This is the first time I’ve used this app and the bus system. I created an account and tried to add a credit card to buy a ticket, but every time I tap the “add payment button” it loads a blank page. If I can’t input payment, I can’t buy a ticket Which makes this app, and to an extent the bus system, unusable.Version: 2.4.4

Essential but terribleWorst travel app. Can’t use if there’s no internet available. Sometimes ticket doesn’t work and won’t open to show transport operator. Difficult to plan travel with the app though it piggybacks google maps. Better to use google maps straight up..Version: 2.3.6

What the heck?This app used to work just fine for keeping a ferry pass. Whatever has happened recently seems to make it completely useless. I can’t load anything, meaning I can’t even buy a month ferry pass since they are only available via the app and not in paper form. Ridiculous..Version: 2.4.0

App name and AutocorrectSince Apple adds app names to its autocorrect dictionary, I can no longer type “20” without it being changed to “2.0”. The apparent solution is to delete the app. So that is what I must do. (I am sick of telling people I will be there in 2.0 minutes.) So RTA, change the app name. And Apple, come up with a better solution. I don’t think people are that bothered about misspelling app names..Version: 2.4.4

FIX THIS!!!I just bought a month pass on my account and not I can’t even log into my account to ride the bus. Can’t even reset the password because it keeps saying error.I still have two weeks left on that month pass now I can’t even access it. The app was working fine just two weeks ago. Now it’s taking forever to load up my ticket and it keeps logging me out. This leaves me standing in front of the bus just staring at my phone waiting, looking like I’m trying to hitch a free ride. It’s embarissing. There should be a remember password option. Now I have to go back to paying cash which is something I was trying to avoid😒.Version: 2.3.6

Not user friendly/undependableThe “Trip planner” didn’t work at all. TICKETS; several times during my trip I couldn’t access my tickets (jazzy pass) due to no internet in the area. Driver said I could ride anyway. The app was not updated with alternate routes/buses/streetcars due to maintenance or construction. This is not something a visitor to Nola likes to experience. Frankly, it was frustrating. I missed a tour that was prepaid because of these issues. The app “Move it” was much more helpful for getting around with routes when walking, busing, and offers Lyft and Uber options as well. You still have to buy your tickets from RTA though..Version: 2.4.0

TerribleApp works when buying tickets. However it doesn’t load on time so I can’t use the tickets I buy. Also constantly logging me out of the app so I have to keep signing in. RTA App freezes very often. Would not recommend app to anyone at all!.Version: 2.3.7

Took away options and added nonsense.My phone hasn’t been on for awhile but using WiFi, on the old version of the app, I could buy a ticket, leave WiFi, and still access my ticket. Why take that away? Also, now we have to press “board” to start the ticket. Why? My off phone can’t reload a ticket. The old app would just show your whole month pass. What was wrong with that? Can you at least make the app work even if the phone’s not on again? Also, can you give a option to remember password? Why would you make it to where I have to keep entering info. Huge waste of time. Barely UseableJust trying to buy tickets and see times and the app can barely manage that. The load times are long, doesn’t matter if you’re on wifi or using 5G. The login/register function is awful to use due to long wait times and having to re-enter your login info every. s i n g l e. Time. WHY IS THE FONT COLOR WHEN YOU TYPE WHITE?!? Anytime you have to type anything in, the font color is white, which makes it barley legible in good conditions and impossible to read what you’re typing if you’re outside in the sun. Please do better RTA Nola. Quicker load times, black font color, and keep users logged into their account. That’s it..Version: 2.4.4

Awful App would not downloadThis app is the reason that I’m never coming to New Orleans ever again. This app is trash. Many is the bus stops are not even on the app and don’t have an EYA. We waited 20 minutes for a streetcar that was supposed to arrive in 4 minutes. We ended up walking. The bus is also always full..Version: 2.3.6

You owe me $2.50Downloaded the app, bought a ticket, card worked fine. Ticket never showed up in my Purchases or Wallet or whatever. I even showed the bus driver my credit card statement on my Chase app showing I had bought the ticket 3 minutes ago. No dice. So I tried it again. Same thing. Purchase went thru, so no ticket appeared. No ticky, no laundry. Called tech support but it was Saturday so they were off. You owe me $2.50 and two hours of my life back. This App Will Steal Your MoneyVery horrible app ran by a scum company. Has randomly logged me out multiple times not allowing me to log back in for a year now. Now, I’m logged out permanently it seems after buying a monthly Jazzy Pass bus ticket. It’s not my account or phone either. I tried making a new account and got an error saying “the data can’t be read” or something and it’s been like this for 4 months now. Very garbage service and company and I do not recommend paying money for a ticket here. I’ll be contacting someone to get a refund on the tickets purchased from my account..Version: 2.4.5

Tracking failureThere have been so many complaints about buying passes I don’t even try. I just use cash. But I have been waiting years for the tracking feature. I would use the bus so much more if I knew when it was coming. I used it the first week it came out with success after I figured out how to use the very un-intuitive app. And suddenly the tracking is gone!!! I’ve updated the app and reloaded but I no longer see any busses or streetcars on the map. Useless 😢 I want nothing more then for this app to work..Version: 2.2

Don’t rely on the app to workApp signs itself off erasing all your info and not reliable. Then they lock you out of your account and you can only gain access when you call during business hours for them to reset your password. Totally not convenient when you don’t have access to the pass you already paid for. One of the very worst public transportation apps I have used. Waited for a bus that never cameThis app is mediocre in that it works sometimes and it doesn’t work sometimes. My boyfriend and I downloaded this app to get around New Orleans on our vacation and like I said, it worked 75% of the time and then it didn’t work the other 25% of the time. The 25% of the time it didn’t work, my bf and I were left standing outside in the hot Louisiana heat for a bus that would never come. It wasn’t great..Version: 2.2

Love redesign - notify of updates!While I love the redesign, please find ways to notify the users of updates. I have 3 versions of this app installed currently. I only find out the previous app doesn't work after trying to use it so many times then assuming, "yep...they must've updated again ".Version: 2.1

UX FailHad to create and account to link my credit card. Perhaps you can purchase as a guest but I could not. After purchasing two all-day passes for $6.00 I was only able to activate one ticket. After multiple attempts to activate the second ticket I gave up and we just boarded. Whoever created this point of sale and user experience needs to try it out themselves. I feel sorry for non English tourists. Terrible way to enjoy this historic landmark..Version: 2.4.5
