✓ I can’t agree with the top review...As a huge fan of the original game I downloaded this as soon as I found out it existed. Initially I was a little let down as this game all of a sudden seemed like it had all the hallmarks of another freemium game like all the rest. However, I have been playing this game for 30 days straight and I have not needed to spend a penny! The game is now much deeper than the last with enhancements being able to be made to your cars and your add ons individually. This makes the game much slower to progress through than the last one but it also makes you come back to it time and time again. It’s by no means a perfect game as it does take a while to get used to the different systems of upgrades but once learned it is another great kairosoft title..Version: 1.86

The art style removes some of the seriousness, and adds to the overall enjoyment of the game. Ads are not intrusive and award you the premium currency in the game. Only two complaints, is that to progress the raffle is almost required, and you do not get a daily raffle, not even for the cheapest raffle. I feel like this would keep players consistently logging in every day. The other complaint is that for some buildings’ tool tips, translations are missing, but it does not impact the game too much..Version: 2.60

✓ Great improvements over prequel.There are now a lot more features over Grand Prix Story 1 with new systems like friends, dueling player ai, and creating your own campus. The pacing of progression has slowed down since the prequel which is positive because there are a lot more systems to keep you busy and reward you by coming back from time to time so you won't get burnt out as fast. Although the game uses tapjoy for premium currency, it hasn't impacted my enjoyment by not having any. This game looks incredible. The level of detail in the courses are incredible too. ✓ Amazing indeed!Ok I loved Grand Prix Story 1 and to be fair when I got this Grand Prix Story 2 I was kind of disappointed at the beginning by the fact that there are so many advertisements, inapp-purchase, and generally the need to be online which makes it difficult to play in the underground train. But I have it a chance and this game is another level: it becomes between a sort of Sim City simulation to a full on fantasy RPG but still keeping the racing element with always surprise and additions like tapping the blue creatures during a race. Also the creativity is incredible (using feathers to improve wings of a car, or pocket watch for gears it's just fantastic humour!). I wouldn't say it's better than the 1st which remains a classic and still it's a better start but this one develops into something which is really incredible and I still don't know what to expect next as so much happens and still I am only at the beginning!! This game will take weeks if not months to fully complete your reign as racer supreme! Sure they added a micro transaction model with fuel as limits to your racing. But it's done well and not to a point where it forces you to buy fuels as it replenishes plenty over time. Gameplay is similar to the first with a ton of additional features. A very unique race car team building game where you don’t actually drive the cars but you build the “Pit Crew” (Mechanics) and drivers, as well as the cars that are driven on different tracks from around the world. This is a very in-depth game for what it is. A fresh new and exciting way to create a town with many different buildings, develop and upgrade cars to your preference, and create a crew that you can then upgrade to your liking and race through the campaign side of things or you may choose to race other human built cars/teams.
