✓ Decent appThe app is fairly straightforward and accurate, it’d be nice for it to save the settings that way you don’t have to open and select specific settings every time you open the app. I work in a loud environment and would like to use widgets on my iPhone so I can see how loud the workplace is at a quick glance. Also, when I rotate my phone the app doesn’t rotate anymore. Not sure what that’s about but I’d like a fix. ✓ Why is app crashing on start?As I’ve seen one other review with the latest upgrade since December 2018 the app is now crashing at start up. I have tried many times like five or 6+ times and it does not start. I am using a iPhone 6S with latest IOS version. I have reported it with an email and have yet to hear a response. The other reviewer states should we just burn this bridge or is the developer you send an update to fix this. I hope the developer wakes up and resolves this. There’s some UI issues such as, when in dark theme, the main top nav bar is still in light grey, the Done button in settings truncated when changing to the dark theme, and in general some of the button icon choices are unintuitive. Functionality wise it’s good for my needs, although I’d love to have a video recording option rather than just a photo option. When I attempt to point the microphone at the source for better location the screen only goes as far as landscape. ✓ Great App for field measurements!I do a lot of various tests either for myself or for others, who are involved in technology and gadgets. ✓ Camera mode crashes the app... FYII’m a music and Theatre teacher, and just attended a conference, one session was on the need for hearing protection for music teachers. I panicked, bought some cheaper earplugs for the time being, set an audiology appointment, and purchased this app. I’ve only played with the app, for a few minutes and noticed that on the camera setting the app crashes. ✓ Good but has a few bugs.I use this app for training and assessing vocal intensity for Parkinson's patients. There are 3 problems that need to be fixed. One is the data on the summary report doesn't fit on the "page" so the numbers are hard to read. The second problem is that when data is cleared, it immediately starts recording again and the pause button has to be hit quickly. And finally, even the slightest upward swipe (always on accident) flips you into a different screen which is annoying and disruptive..Version: 6.4.0

✓ Great noise monitorI occasionally need to monitor noise levels at home or in classrooms when I’m substitute teaching. So I’m a novice at this, although I am a scientist in other areas. This APP does everything I need: records noise levels, lets me adjust the parameters, such maximum acceptable noise level, and I can download the data. It defines & explains everything. ✓ LDBThis has calmed my nerves and gave me the confidence to file my own complaint. I was feeling so completely paranoid,alone and helpless. A year ago My neighbors made recording the whole year of 2017 and half of 2016. "As my doctors stated made clandestinely illegal recordings" directly outside of my flat door without my knowledge. Of me listening or playing/making instruments. My housing association, although said that their behaviour was wrong, to my disappointment and totally bipolar upset. Would not allow me to listen any of those recordings. I respected my neighbors and I still do. Otherwise I would not have payed for the pro version of this app. To prove I am not an antisocial person or neighbour. But this Behaviour by both parties left me spied upon and because I had no complaints made before. I was just phone to attend an appointment about some building issue. I quickly realise. I was attending anti social interview. I received no letters or email. so no paper trail and no proof of this actually happened. Because the only one follow up was made by phone. This whole experience made my mental health to fall apart. So now a year later, have a true diary thanks to this application, of the noise I make, music playing, acoustic guitar and noise watching tv. So unfortunately, against my easy-going nature. I'm going to make my own complaint. So I would like to say thank you and to the pro version of this app. Just hope your noise charts will be believed and well received. The warm up act was playing so loud that it showed 122db Z Weighted!!! That is INSTANT Hearing Loss!!!👂 wearing my Ear Plugs under my shooting muffs, that only dropped the sound level 6db or to 117db Z Weighted or Permanent Hearing 👂 after 20 seconds. I ran outside and during the break, confronted the sound crew, showing them the data and demanding the lower the volume else I’ll call OSHA and shut down the tour!!! The dropped it to 105db because of your program!!! Later that week, I got a room upgrade due to noisy neighbours and I got a seat 💺 upgrade because the engines were too loud. Being able export the data to a table is great! ✓ Best SPL App I’ve UsedThis is the best SPL meter app I’ve used. Well worth the purchase. The only suggestion I have is that it doesn’t rotate 180 degrees on the iPhone XS Max like it did on my old iPhone 6. I like to have the microphone at the bottom of the phone pointed at the speakers so to have the UI flip upside down was very useful. Also the “email support” button in settings didn’t work when I pressed it. Hence my notes here.
