✓ Great app for what’s needed in todays world of shortages!This app is fantastic and you really can’t get high demand stock without it. I got it to try and get my hands on the PS5, watched to see how often I got alerts etc before I jumped in myself to try and get one. The app will send out alerts for free when stock comes in at pretty much every retailer in the country and then takes you straight to the product page when you hit the notification. They are usually sold out in seconds so of course you need to upgrade to the premium app which is £4.99 and this i think is required for REALLY hard to get stuff like consoles etc maybe not needed for other things so try it out before you commit to buying it for a month sub. Only thing that’s missing and why it’s not 5 stars is that there is a chat function on each product page but you can’t reply to someone you can only like comments. It takes a little bit of commitment, but as long as you are ready to fire in your login details for payment of whatever product you are trying to buy, often at very short notice, then you should be good to go. I’ve managed to bag myself some really hard to get items when stock has virtually sold out, but using this app has been a huge help to me. Managed to secure a collectors edition for new Zelda game, which is being targeted by scalpers who are flogging them on eBay for 4 times the price. ✓ Great tool (if you use it properly)This app has lots going for it. You set up alerts, when the item is in stock, you get notified, and a chance to buy it. The biggest thing, in my opinion, is the comprehensive list of retailers. You get all the big brands, and can check them by clicking the link. I’ve seen items in stock when the app hasn’t shown them in stock (it’s not infallible). By checking the links for that “have to have” item, you can get it. The subscription is worth it, but it’s only one tool in the tool box. To really make use of this app, get the subscription, check at the restock times (top of the hour, and at the half hour), wether you’ve gotten an alert or not, and you can score the item you want. This app helped me land several “must have” Christmas items that others could not get. Great for tech, and toys. It’s just one part of what it takes to get those “hard to get” items, but it definitely takes it from “can’t get” to “give me a few days”. If used properly. ✓ Fantastic stock finder app.I recently decided to purchase an Ninja Air Fryer which are in very high demand and typically sell out within minutes of becoming available. I wanted to purchase the latest version (AF451UK) which is currently only available directly from the manufacturer’s website. I installed HotStock and quick added the exact model I was looking for but narrowly missed out on purchasing one when I was alerted by the app after only a few hours. Realising they offered a premium priority service for a relatively low cost and reading the positive in-app comments I decided to upgrade to their premium offering. Within just 48hrs I have managed to successfully order the model I wanted directly from the manufacturers website after being alerted by the app. The app is really easy to use and even allows you to filter the websites that you are alerted to. Within the past 48hrs I could have brought the slightly older model (AF400UK) from a number of reputable websites such as Argos, AO and Very etc but decided to hold out for the model I wanted. I’ve been at this a long time and my grumpiness flares every time I have to deal with “the new way” to try to order things. ✓ Download! IT WORKS!!I was following a Xbox stock tracker on Twitter thinking that I was ahead of the game. It’s suggested GameStop was going to have xbox consoles in stock at a specific time. That turned out not to be true. So I downloaded the GameStop app and saw this app under recommended. So glad I did! I alerted within minutes every time Xbox and PS5 we’re in stock at ALL of the retail outlets. I purchased a GameStop pro subscription and I was never notified on the GameStop app that the Xbox was available. I signed up for the premium subscription for a month in order to get the TOTK Collector's Edition, and although I was never able to actually buy it until midnight of the start of the release date, I got pretty close every time. I was also provided a community of people who shared the same struggles that I did, and offered me tips on how I could bolster my chances of getting a copy. I’m using iPhone 8 Plus and first time setting up and I didn’t do a test. Spent the last month and a half trying to get my hands on a ninja air fryer and was finally able to get one with the help of HotStock. These things were selling out in literal seconds but paying the £5 for the premium service made it worth while. It took a fair few attempts and a couple of days to figure out that the fryers were selling that fast that you needed to have the websites that HotStock uses ready to go on your phone. I got lucky yesterday (Nov 8th 22) and just happened to be on my phone when the alert came through (which you can fully customise right down to a 30s alarm if your sleeping and they become available). The drop down banner popped up, I clicked on it immediately and it took me straight to the product page on the Very website, no messing around with taking you to the HotStock app and then clicking onto the selected website, just straight to it. Remember, the world and their dog is trying to get hold of one of these and also having to compete with bots and scalpers, so this is definitely an app that helps. It took me 3 or 4 tries with different retailers. My recommendation is to already have an account with the retailers (you can also filter out any retailers that you don’t want to use (ie Game <ahem>) to try and make your checkout as quickly as possible. Also the chat function is nice as people give updates and ask for information. Would recommend paying the little extra to get the immediate notification, and if necessary the auto buy. I used the free version at first but decided to pay for the $5 monthly premium access to get priority notifications and the ability to monitor more than one product. It checks real time stock levels for ‘difficult to get’ items and I set up an alert for the PlayStation 5 which I had been trying to get since November 2020. There was another drop from very and John Lewis and I was unable to secure another unfortunately. I then decided to bite the bullet and get premium for the next month. Then on the 19th January I got a notification that John Lewis was live with stock and managed to get one very easily no hassle queuing or needing to refresh pages as it seemingly felt like no one else was using the site to cause it any type of disruption. 1 hour later Game dropped and I received a notification at 10am on the dot and managed to secure one from there also with queuing with one minute which again seemed surprising. But I managed to get everything I needed with no hassle at all. The app is great!
