Really enjoying this appI have found that I am enjoying this app more than I thought. I like the meal options, and I can mix and match with my favourites, or just log my own. I think the exercise options are fantastic as well, such a variety on offer. Reaching my step goal, exercise and water intake are made easier as the key totals are on the opening screen to remind me. The fasting section is also a bonus. I like that you can add that into the mix of diet and exercise. I play Pickleball regularly so, adding that into the exercise options would be a bonus, but for now I just substitute Badminton Hey, it’s not perfect, like others I have tried, but it keeps me on track daily and I am losing weight, so I am achieving my goal..Version: 14.10.0

Perfect introduction to exercise post partum!I gained a lot of weight during pregnancy and now the little one is here and almost four months old, I’ve been playing with different workouts. I used to be really athletic and would lift weights twice the size of me but the 9 month break from the gym has done some damage and I’m nowhere near as strong or fit as I used to be. My joints particularly have taken a beating so finding low impact workouts for bigger people has been difficult and having just finished the first workout of the better me wall Pilates programme… I’m so content with the workout I’ve just done! No breaks due to breathlessness but my heart rate is up, my joints aren’t aching or in pain and my back actually feels better having stretched it out too. Fantastic! I’m loving it!I signed up for the 90 course, I’m over 30 days into it. I’m in Australia. I hadn’t read any reviews on this app before signing up but have just read a heap and I’m actually shocked so many people have been unhappy with it! I love ticking off my goals every day. Logging my water intake encourages me to reach my goal and I’m feeling so much better for it. I love the daily workouts. There are loads of extra workouts available too. All the meal plans are amazing and so many to choose from! I wish the fasting tracker could be manually altered if you forget to log that you’re in a fasting/eating period. I has an issue with my workout streak score being cleared so I sent a message to the team and always got a prompt response. The issue wasn’t resolved but they offered me to choose between 3 add-on challenges (that are usually paid for) for free, so I chose the 30 day plank challenge. Overall I’ve had a great experience. Getting back into it after being a bit lazyGreat app, explains everything and easy enough to do today was my first day. Yes I do have a back injury and yes I can feel it, but in saying that I feel that it was just enough for what I need to bring on the next chapter of my life healthy eating first, second was the exercising bring it on. It’s about resetting your life where you are comfortable in your own skin. Sometimes you just need to put yourself first. My experience with better meThough it’s only been a couple of days and I have started out first with just changing my eating habits because they were terrible. Today was my first day for the work out and I have some major health issues. I have lung cancer and I had some strokes back in 2017 so I was wondering if I was even going to be able to do this so I don’t wanna say it’s not a hard work out it’s a good work out I used to have a personal trainer years ago and work out in a gym. Obviously this is nothing like that but I love the fact that I don’t have to go anywhere. All I need is a wall and a mat and I feel wonderful today. I’m so glad that I’m able to do this because truthfully, I didn’t think I was going to with some of my limitations, but so far so good and I gave myself till August to reach my goal but I think I’m going to hit it way before then I’m so excited sincerely Kathy from Jersey.Version: 14.18.0

I look amazingBefore i saw an ad for better me i was wanting to get in shape but didn’t really want the hassle of getting driven to the gym and making an inconvenience. i would look up exercises to do but never stuck to doing them since i would have to re find them every day and it would get really annoying. Better Me has made this all easy with a very easy (and smart) interface. i pay a monthly fee (£8.99) which is easy to afford and is super cheap for the outcome. i have learnt to love my body because of Better Me and will recommend to everyone worth thinking about getting it shape Carrie.Version: 2.5.1

Love it so far!I just had my first baby 3 months ago and as happy as I am, my self esteem has been at an all time low as my body has never looked so flabby! I’ve only been using the app for two days now but the workouts target my personal problem areas, have got my heart pumping and have me sweating which I see as a good workout! Also, for any Mums who are home with baby, the workouts are really easy to do without a gym :) 5 stars so far!!! No issues. Happy to continue use after free trial is over..Version: 2.9.5

Decent but the calorie tracker is lackingThe app does an adequate job of helping you keep everything you need to track in one place for the most part. The calorie tracker is very frustrating and time consuming to use however. Simply adding functionality for it to automatically resurface items you’ve tracked before (many of us fitness folks are creatures of habit) like other apps do would go a long way. Instead, it only “remembers” the last 10 things you tracked and after that you have to start from scratch with a new search. Entering key search terms like brand name and item produces an at times seemingly random list of things with the same names and different calorie counts. It takes 3x longer to track a meal than it does with MyFitnessPal and a lot more concentration, sometimes even requiring me to look stuff up online and compare. I’m keeping the app for now because of the exercise program, but unless the tracking becomes a lot more user friendly it’s not a long term solution given the cost..Version: 16.3.1

You got me. I’m glad you did!The BetterMe Facebook adverts had been following me around for a while. I was tempted by the one which actually showed Wall Pilates, and decided to give it a go with the 3 month discount offer. I’m so glad I did!! This App has changed my life. No kidding. I set out to modestly drop 6 pounds. I’m good at holding myself accountable, but the 28 day plan was perfect to keep me on track. More than on track! I now move more, eat better and drink more water every single day. Two months in, I have dropped 8 pounds (new target 10 pounds). But most importantly, for the first time, I am living with more awareness. I bought some bathroom scales, kitchen scales (no messing about) and invested in the BetterMe Band after a month for two reasons 1) to accurately track my steps from wrist to app and 2) for lifetime access because there’s so much still to explore. The subscription would have been a bit pricey for me after the 3 months. Note: This might have changed but there was no U.K. delivery country when trying to buy the tracker via the app. They do deliver though, so contact the support team. I did. OMG this is amazingI purchased this app when it was heavily discounted and didn’t do any of it. Then the payment renewed at a higher price and I made a note to cancel it. Then this morning I did the first day’s exercises. I have injured my knee so had to modify a few exercises but I cannot believe how much better I feel. I have been compensating for my painful knee and my shoulders and lower back were affected. I could feel my muscles relaxing as I did the exercises. Needless to say I will not be cancelling my subscription. FYI I am 69 years old and the exercises are suitable for my age group..Version: 15.5.0

Good but could be great!Great app, super easy to use and follow. The 1 thing that would make it better is music with the workout and some kind of countdown/beeping to signal when each work out is nearly done. It’s not always the easiest to see how long you’ve got on a workout..Version: 3.0.1

Update/ excellent customer serviceI purchased this app in March! Yeah- amazing access to meals and workouts! I purchased the year subscription. Well something glitched and now I cannot log in. I have contacted the developer and they asked for ALL of the possible emails that I could have used to create the account. None are found. The next message- looks like you signed up and just need to fill out the profile… uhm, I cannot do that if I cannot log in. Please help. This is such a disappointment for weeks now!!! I finally got ahold of someone who reset my account so I could log in. (After trying all the normal things: delete app and reinstall,reset password etc.) Although I lost all the data I was tracking daily- they finally reset my account- and challenge I had also purchased and they updated my renewal. BetterMeThis app is amazing. I’ve been going through some struggles the past couple of years and came to food for comfort so I had gained quite a bit. My mental health has been ok recently and that’s when I came across this app. It’s helping me out a lot, the workouts are doing great for my body and the food plans are already making me feel healthier and more positive. The app also tells you when you should have a drink of water and stuff. It’s like u have someone taking care of your health. Good ServiceI signed up for the app but ended up not using it - not because it’s not a great app, but because I joined a gym straight after and the app provided in the gym membership has most of the same features. I totally forgot to cancel my membership and was charged after my free trial. I emailed support hoping, but not expecting, they’d refund me. They refunded me straight away and they probably didn’t have to, because it was my fault I didn’t remember to cancel. So I can’t really comment on the app itself, but wanted to leave a good review, as I appreciate a company who will do the right thing by people..Version: 15.11.0

Brilliant contentI love this app. First fitness app I’ve stuck with for both tracking and fitness training. What I think is really good is that it doesn’t have to be an hour of intensity, you can do a quick 10 min blast, whenever you like. The ability to mix up the different styles of training really appeals to me and has kept me motivated. I started with the Wall Pilates and now I’m seeing a big improvement in strength, flexibility and balance after a month of this. I’ve now moved on to freestanding Pilates and more intense core stuff. I’m in my 50’s and was struggling with lower back pain. The wall Pilates really helped with this, I’m in much less pain and have better flexibility in my back. I can squat, pain free. Support team was able to solve my wrong payment issueI had an incorrect charge of US$4.99 and after quite a few emails the support team agent was able to retract the wrong payment and even refunded additional credits as a compensation. Good exercises but buggy appI’m now on day 13 and I have been loving the exercises. However I can’t always get the videos to work straight away. I have to keep closing the app, reloading the work out. Sometimes it loads to the workout but then never plays and I have to close and re open again. Then sometimes it will play but the countdown won’t start so it just cycles the same warmup video over and over so you have to close and reopen. Finally saw it was ready to be updated today so was hoping they had fixed this bug but apparently not. Makes it very frustrating and that you want to give up before you’ve even started..Version: 15.6.0

AmazingI understand that they should give your harder workouts, however you can continue doing other workouts so it adds up to your scheduled amount. They give you a range of coaches that you can talk to virtually about your meal plans or even workout virtually to them so they can help you out. You do have to pay for things like premium e.c.t but it’s not that much and you don’t HAVE to it’s up to you. It’s really helped me since I go to the gym usually however when I don’t I use this app to catch up. It tracks my meals and how much I’m drinking. My steps and also helps me fast. It sends notifications saying not to eat just yet. It really helps me keep determined to carry on. So I recommend getting this app!.Version: 9.13.0

So much more than I thought I was getting!First, let me say that the “get your head in the game” readings and quizzes are really useful. I think they’ve been reading my mind when it comes to “excuses” for not working out. Looking forward to more. I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by all the content, and the support has been amazing. I expected a one-style-of-workout deal, but there’s a wide variety of workouts, from HIIT to dancing in high heels. All of the moves are well-explained and a workout is usually enough to feel energized that I’ve done something, but not so tough it leaves me in a puddle on the floor. There are a few tweaks that need to made, but BetterMe seems to be working on scaling up pretty quickly. Another thing that makes BetterMe so useful is being able to download the workouts in advance. I’m in a very rural area, and my home internet isn’t always up to streaming, but that same slow connection will let me download the workout and then play it. Not being able to download in advance is actually why I dropped every other fitness app I tried. I’ve tried a lot. Some of them said you could download the workout, but even with a good connection the download would take an hour or so. These downloads are usually less than 15 minutes on my bad connection (as long as I have any connection at all). A solid five stars for this one!.Version: 15.13.0

No lie—one of the best fitness aps aroundI downloaded this app based on Instagram advertising the wasted no time in signing me up for a subscription plan, so suffice it to say, my attendance were up to a possible scam. However, after a few weeks of using this up, I can confidently say it’s one of the best overall fitness apps around. Not only are there features like calorie and water trucking plus fitness and exercise, calorie burn counters that, well, how are useful, or customary for just about every iOS wellness app, the BetterMe app goes five steps beyond by creating customized meal plans for you inclusive of daily recipes that accommodate all major dietary restrictions and allergies (shocking for someone gluten-free, egg-free and nut- free, as well as paleo & pescatarian !!), the app also creates workout regiment for you that take into account injuries you identify in your initial survey (knees for instance) with great instructional videos. Honestly, to say, I am gob, smacked by this up, would not be an exaggeration. I, feel like they have launched fitness software to rival even the likes of peloton and other major industry players without so none of the cost or icky branding. Charge is not one off, it’s weekly!Aiming to get the basic version, I initially paid and was shocked to find that I was being charged weekly for the app that I was barely using. The content is good, and it’s nice that you can buy add ons, but given all that he free info available out there, I definitely don’t think this app is worth it. Sorry. A few tweaksJust started using the Better Me app and loving it although there’s a couple of things I wish were different as would really help a novice like me. Firstly, as you’re doing the workouts, the timer and other info is along the bottoms of the screen masking the person doing the exercise so it’s difficult to make out what they are doing especially when the commentary isn’t there. Secondly, regarding the tips on diet. It would be better for if these were more apart of the workout plan as opposed to having to search through and find things. Cheers. Damian..Version: 15.15.0

Loving thisI had back surgery a few months ago. I am 68 and looking to get back in shape. Last year at this time I was 121. Two weeks ago I was 160. With being home recovering and with the pandemic; this 5’5 foot person was OUT OF CONDITION and feeling miserable. I couldn’t get through my day without sugar be it candy or cakes or ice cream. I was eating junk food for my meals. My only exercise was from a comfy chair to the fridge or pantry and back. 😬😎 I don’t have those cravings anymore. I have followed this program with ease. It keeps me on track and I am down 7 pounds. I expect to be 130 by end of September. I am never hungry between meals and the exercises are awesome. You put as much energy as you’d like for 15-18 minutes and your done. You can add more if you’d like. I like to walk and add walking every day. Something I couldn’t do before my back surgery. Sweat Storm AlertHighly recommend this app! Ive nearly purchased so many times and last night i decided to, doing my first work out this morning and im sweaty! After your workout you get to choose 3 options.. another workout, great and im happy with the workout or exhausted so you can carry on or stop also being able to choose the muscle groups to work on, really easy to use and informative during the workout! Even allows you to connect to a music source to play music in the background through the app. The reason why this app works is the fact that there is a very obvious and easy to use main menu that looks attractive to use which creates a consistent want to use the app and consistency is key for improvement! Enjoyable, needs a few improvementsWith gyms closed, I decided to look for alternate at home exercises. I am in my late 20s and looking to keep an active and healthy lifestyle. This app has great options. I subscribed and I really enjoy the daily 'do your exercises' that fit directly in what I am looking for. I also like the 'workouts' section if I am looking to work a little more on a specific muscle group. Yet, for me honestly I do feel that the food and dietary section is not useful to me. I am not looking for nutritional advice, im only looking for workout ideas so this to me is not useful. I would advice BetterMe to have a full seperate app just for nutrition and one just for workouts with the possibility of merging data from both apps together if the user wants to. Otherwise, a lot of the data on this is just not useful to some people. I do get the whole concept of being a full plan of food and exercise but thats my experience. Another think I want to point out is the 'do your workouts' section of the Plan page. Some days it recommends walking, other days it recommends a full 25 minute exercise routine -which is exactly what i love about this app and why I subscribed to it. Yet, skme days when i check the 'do your workout' section it says 'today walking' it doesn't make sense. I suggest modifying the Plan page to include under the 'do your workouts' section a 'walking' subsection and an 'exercises' subsection. This app is AMAZINGI must say, the workout I just did almost killed me because it’s my first workout for probably more than 8 months or more probably 1 year and I must say, I feel great and I will definitely be using this app more, great work on whoever made this app, hope you get really good reviews like this one. Although much later than advertised they did come back to meAbsolutely terrible customer service! 3 days no reply other than an automated email saying they will respond within 8 hours. No way to cancel the subscription that I can find either. Their food records are pounds and ounces in U.K. we use grams so unless you convert outside the app it cannot be used either! I recommend you don’t buy as it looks like I will have to go through my bank to get the payments stopped. An App for those lacking timeIt was really troublesome for me to work out regularly for a very long time. I work extra 20 hours or even more every week, it was really difficult to fit a full-blown training session into my daily schedule. It became the least important priority, and I regularly skipped training instead of regularly exercising. This app was a game-changer for me. There is no way I don’t have 15 minutes to train every morning. Plus, the workouts continuously change so I don’t get bored. I usually like to go at my own pace, and it seems to me that the system in the app motivates you to push harder, but it is not a problem at all. I measure my changes each week, and I can say that I got much leaner than I was a month ago! It is actually much easier to extend your sessions once you get used to the short ones. I think my friends don’t want to hear me talking about this app any more as I do so much, but it really is that good. Try this app, you will be surprised how easily it fits into your routine! Love but could be betterSo when I started using this app (more routinely) in March I was 160 lbs now I am 146 so it works. I love the exercises and the meal plans it’s honestly an amazing app but it could be better. I don’t like that the exercises just jump from one to another. It would be really cool if somewhere in the corner you put “up next: ______ exercise” with a photo or video of the next exercise so I’d be a little more prepared. Also sometimes I can’t see my phone when I’m exercising so some type of ding when you switch workouts or a “3,2,1” kind of count down or something to let me know we’re switching exercises would be helpful. Another thing is I started the sugar free challenge and I’ve been clean since I started but I forget to mark down that I had a successful day and it automatically puts me as failed and it can’t be changed. That’s a bummer and it really brings me down because I know I’ve been trying. Other than that I really love this app it’s honestly helped me so much to change my lifestyle. A Great Workout AppOne of the best apps of its kind! I rarely write reviews for apps, but this one makes me want to make an exception. I love everything this app has to offer. It is extremely easy to use, never lags or crashes, as some of the apps that I used. The workouts are not tiring, yet effective. They also take not that much time, but you can literally feel how your muscles get stronger. You can also try various challenges, which spices up the routine and keeps it interested. It is a perfect option for you if you don’t like gyms but want to melt some excess fat. I also want to mention the diet plan, because that was the thing that caught my interest and made me download it in the first place. So, your meal plan is completely customized, I believe it is a once-in-a-lifetime finding for vegans, cause I’ve heard that it is rarely that apps offer you a decent vegan meal plan. Very Motivating!This is an excellent app for weight loss, tracking calories intake, water intake, as well as workout and daily steps. I am doing the 16hours intermittent fasting and amazed by the results in terms of weight loss! I honestly never imagined an app would keep me as motivated as I am today as I usually lose motivation when it comes to healthy cooking and prepping meals. This worked out well because It lets you select the time you want to spend prepping meals and the ingredients you prefer using, so the suggestions for the Keto plan I chose are working great with my schedule, similarly to the exercise portion of it. The only thing I wish was easier to do is the food tracking, I wish it had a feature to group food in a recipe so I can use it another day if I made this recipe again, also if it had a history of the most recent items I used or the ones I keep reusing. The last thing (and it’s not as important) but could be improved, is the ability to add fractions the your weight when you log in..Version: 7.3.1

Like the app but not the support - updateI really like this app with information and guidance on exercise, meals, recipes and more. The exercise routines are effective and varied, with fitness routines, yoga and custom settings. Unfortunately my experience of the support system has been very disappointing. I have submitted two queries and had no answer to either. Not even a holding email. Don’t make the festive period an excuse guys, we are well into January as I write. My other gripe is that the app is free if you buy a Better Me band (fitness and biometrics tracker) and seems to be the most economic option if you plan to use the app in the medium or long term. Unfortunately the band seems unavailable to UK residents. (This was one of the queries to which I got no response). It means UK residents pay through the nose for the app due to Better Me’s own technology being unavailable to us. Will reluctantly look for an alternative once my initial subscription expires. Pity, because it’s a really good app. Update - Better Me got back to me eventually citing very high demand for support just after Christmas, which I get. They DO ship to the UK and provided a link to enable me to order. As I said in my initial review I am very happy with the app and program, so thank you Better Me for sorting this out. Beat purchase!I just want to say thank you to the creators of this app - it’s absolutely worth the money. I’m eating healthy, enjoying cooking, I’m healthy and feeling fit, I’m seeing and feeling changes physically, feeling good mentally and like this is not something that will burn me out. Being able to do a wide range of exercises and skill levels, well organised and instructed, in the privacy and comfort of my own home, is huge! There’s no pressure, or shame, just support and understanding, with the chapters proving that you understand how to make these healthy lifestyle changes something permanent, positive, and sustainable. This app is, in my experience, better, more sustainable, and more effective, than when I was working simultaneously with a therapist, dietician, and personal trainer to improve my health. Brand new daySo… been thinking about doing the BetterMe thing AND today I did. I subscribed to the 28 day challenge, took a before pic and just did my first workout. It was a good start - haven’t worked out for a year! The app asked about the intensity level, to gauge how I am doing so my workout plan suits me. Also there was a calendar schedule thingy - will help keep me on target. The videos and instructions are helpful and well crafted. Overall I feel motivated. Really goodSo it is easy to use with all the exercises mapped out for 28 days with included rests. I especially liked the meals section because you can choose between regular and vegetarian which was handy. I wanted to start eating healthy and lots of good meals were suggested. I have tried the stomach exercises and found them helpful because after 19 days I can really see a difference. The one inconvenience for me were the leg exercises. SUPER EffectiveI’m returning to this app after a year hiatus. At the end of 2020, I decided I needed to focus on something other than Covid. My husband and I had been dealing with infertility for 10 years and I know I felt solely responsible. We had a talk about trying IVF and I decided that I was probably not at a healthy weight to be considered for it. An acquaintance suggested this app, so I downloaded it and hit the workouts and calorie tracking hard. I feel that I saw results pretty quickly and was super excited to be on the right track to healthy! Two months into using this app, I started looking into clinics that offered IVF. I didn’t need to though, because the same month I discovered I was pregnant. We welcomed our daughter at the end of October 2021. I truly see now how important my health is and I have this app and my experience using it to thank for my new outlook. I’m excited to take up where I left off! Enjoy the meals, but…These meals are delicious and though I just started the program 5 days ago, I’ve already lost several pounds. Problem is, and I’ve emailed customer service about this, there are errors in either the ingredients or the recipe. They don’t always match up. Example: the ingredients will mention one vegetable and the recipe never mentions that veggie or what to do with it. Or the recipe will say heat oven to 180 degrees, (180?) and Carbs 25 minutes. Carbs? Do they mean cook? I’m assuming , yes. Photos don’t always match recipe: strawberries in photo, but pears in the recipe. I just feel that the editing is poor. And if the meals are not edited, what else might be incorrect. That being said, I like most of the program. Not love, but like. The workouts and articles are good. The logging of the recipes could be better when it comes to scanning a barcode for nutritional value. The MyFitness app scans and all the info pops up immediately. Here at BetterMe, after scanning, so far I’ve had to fill in every detail, fat, carbs, protein, etc. myself. Hope this helps some people and I hope BM can look into the issues..Version: 12.0

Love the app. But it stopped loadingI really love this app. I paid for the annual subscription. The workouts are really good and they aren’t too hard for beginners it helps people with injuries such as myself and has the challenges to further you on your journey. So far I really like it. But the problem is now the only thing that is loading is the workouts and the settings page. The calorie counter isn’t loading or the calendar. Is it a glitch? Please help because I enjoy this app.Version: 6.26.0

Gentle introduction for me as an unfit person.I found the first session was a perfect gentle introduction. I hope that the sessions increase in intensity as my fitness improves. The instructions and visuals are clear videos with pleasant timing sounds and detailed verbal instructions. I’m glad I signed up … I was just too lazy to bother exercising on my own but this gives me that extra little bit of motivation and feels less “lonely” than repeating drills from memory. Do not buy it !I’m having problem to cancel this app . The app is charging me a very expensive price that i didn’t agreed, is renewing my contract without my authorization. I already tried to contact the app, it seems to me. It is impossible to cancel a contract that I did not request..Version: 15.19.0
