✓ Pretty annoyed :/I absolutely love this game!! I’ve played it on multiple platforms (Xbox, Pc and now IOS), but there’s one thing infuriating me and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Everytime I try to customise my own character, it won’t let me change any cosmetics? All I can alter are their names and nickname, everyone I select a piece or armour it just reverts to the original, very annoying and it’s ruining my immersion, I’ve had the game for a day and already made three new campaigns trying to solve this issue.Version: 1.4.5

✓ Crashes so hard it’s unplayableThis is a great game, when it works. But it crashes ALL THE TIME! It’s actually unplayable. I cannot progress beyond a particular mid to late game mission because it just keeps crashing. For the money, I’d expect better than this..Version: 1.4.7
✓ Love the game and the developers supportThis game is awesome. When I first got it though, it just constantly crashed to the point where I could not even continue the mission I was on. The developer was very responsive with a few ways to correct the issue in my playthrough. Though I have had one or two additional crashes, they have not prevented me from continuing my progress. I do still wish they had some settings to make it less demanding on my iPad (7th gen) so I could at least keep playing without periodic crashes. Unfortunately those setting are only on the newer devices. But the games and the version for my iPad is still awesome, if some what flawed. I would recommend it, especially on a newer more powerful device..Version: 1.4.7
✓ Long time fans may be disappointed, and game pushes iOS a tad beyond its limitsFirstly, before I say a bad word about this game, I have to say that this really is the full XCOM 2 experience. There are no cut corners with regards to content. Feral have done a fantastic job in this regard, and the controls work beautifully for the iPad. I love the full 360 degree camera, and the little niggles controlling the original XCOM:EU camera have all been fixed. However, there are definitely a number of issues: 1) my iPad gets VERY hot VERY quickly (I have an iPad Pro 11” 256GB 2020 model). 2) it absolutely drains my battery (though strangely my iPhone pro battery doesn’t seem to suffer so badly) 3) there are no iCloud saves which is a huge, huge shame. From a gameplay perspective, there is one thing that really bugs me, and this is that the enemies are very static until they engage you. One of the key gameplay features is that the enemy groups will move around the map patrolling until they spot you, but in this they often don’t move. You’re left to freely dispose of one group after another, which drastically reduces the difficulty curve. Overall, I’m happy I bought the game, and I’ll play it in short bursts while plugged in, but I’ll stick to xcom enemy unknown for a portable xcom experience as that is far kinder on Apples tech and has no shortcomings of any kind with regards to the gameplay..Version: 1.4.3
✓ Crashes Make It UnplayableI’m playing this on one of the listed supported devices, a 2019 iPad Air 3 with lots of available memory, but the frequent crashes make the game unplayable. I’m about halfway through the campaign and would have rated this 5 stars, but then I started getting occasional crashes on missions that forced the game to close. These became increasingly more frequent, until I was obligated to save game after every soldier turn for fear of losing progress. I can no longer finish an entire round of six-character combat without the game crashing out four or five times. It now crashes out upon loading a game before I’m able to take my first action — it force closes before the previous save game is fully loaded — which makes the game literally unplayable. I’m considering deleting and reinstalling the app to see if I can get it to work again, but I’m guessing I’ll only lose all my effort and progress again when the problem repeats. For a $25 purchase, this is unconscionable..Version: 1.4.5

✓ Love it - but CONSTANT crashesCan you support here please, certain situations on missions lead to crashes every time. Each time this has happened, I’ve ambushed a specific enemy from stealth and it’s immediately crashed before the cut scene of them spotting me. Only happened with certain enemies but now I can’t get past those levels and have to restart a base save. What is the fix and why is this happening?.Version: 1.4.5

✓ Why doesn’t this game support iPhone 8?The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 + both use the Apple A11 Bionic chipset for CPU. They only differ by 1GB of RAM which gets utilized on the 8+ higher display and camera resolutions anyway, so in essence even RAM is the same. Will iPhone 8 support come in the future? I just don’t see why it is not there already and it only seems arbitrary because I cannot see a technical reason for it. If this is your way to appease Apple to get people to buy their new phones, I hope Apple paid you well for it. If not, I sincerely hope you add iPhone 8 support to this game, as I’d love to play it (already have on PC) and I’d love to give this 5 stars eventually..Version: 1.4.5
✓ So disappointedI love xcom 2 enemy with in and have played it for years. I decided to buy and install this game however I really regret doing so. After only playing it a couple of times the crashes are crazy and now the app will not load at all. I have deleted and reinstalled and it still will not open. I really would prefer a refund or if you guys can fix it that would be great also my phone is the i phone XR which is definitely supported and I have more than enough memory but it still doesn’t work . ✓ Fix the bugs!!!Fed up with Xcom and it’s creators. I absolutely love the game, but bought it on my iPad after it’s bugs made it unplayable on ps4, and now it is constantly crashing on my iPad. I have put countless hours and a lot of money into this game only for Firaxis to ignore it’s problems and refuse to fix crashes due to the lost. It is infuriating to get halfway through a campaign on legendary with excellent progress on Ironman only to play a lost mission that won’t progress from a crash point, forcing you to quit the campaign. Also, would it hurt to include ‘not created equal’ as a starting option, rather than cheat options that extend the timer?.Version: 1.4.6
✓ Great game but huge issues:1) The game is rotated the wrong way on iPhone (it doesn’t work in many third party grips), and there’s no way to change that. Please add an auto-rotate function to match whichever landscape orientation you hold your phone in, like 99% of games. Most other developers have worked out how to deal with the notch without stopping you holding your phone the right way. 2) There is no controller support. The PC & console versions have great controller setups, why remove this for the iOS version? Particularly disappointing now that we can use Xbox and PS4 controllers on iOS..Version: 1.4.5

✓ Double mouse pointer. Unable to play :(Don’t work with my new iPad Pro 12.9 M1 and my new smart keyboard. When the game start I see a message indicate a mouse found (but I don’t have any mouse only the track pad build in on my smart keyboard). When I try to play I have a pointer for my trackpad and another UNDESIRE pointer (large arrow) for a bad mouse detection. The click and touch with my track pad don’t work correctly. ✓ An incredibly poor portLow frame rate, motion blur when scrolling around the map, low texture quality and overly compressed videos make xcom 2 almost unplayable on iOS. ✓ Best Way to Play XCOM, If Only My Game Would SaveHands down the best way to experience XCOM and I a great price for all the content included. My problem is I have had 3 separate campaigns that I was not allowed to finish because of save issues. My first 2 play through I tried ICloud saves that would randomnly delete themselves or desync with my local Ipad data completely wiping all my data. I had maybe 10 hours the first play through and 15+ the second. After that I figured maybe the ICloud save was bugged and gave up. One day I noticed the app updating and checked the App Store page which spoke on bug fixes and ICloud saves. My third playthough I had about 30 hours in and decided to go against the ICloud save just in case I also decided to uninstall and reinstall the game after clearing whatever data. I was excited about the new graphical adjustments and found them very useful. But again despite not using an ICloud save my 30 hours were wiped one day out of nowhere. Hopefully this game can be fixed and I can actually regain my love for this game again..Version: 1.4.7

✓ Great port, limited by dlcWorks great, no crashes, very smooth experience etc etc.. but as I am forced to play War of the Chosen DLC, I find the game too hard and frustrating even on easy. I can turn some of the dlc off but not wotc.. why? Developers need to update the game to make it possible to disable war of the chosen so I can play vanilla XCOM 2. ✓ Love the game but one requestThis is one of my favorite games but there is one thing that would help it. It just needs an update to allow you to choose to turn off the fatigue system. ✓ Awesome game but crashes regularlyI enjoy playing this game immensely and would easily give it 5 for depth of gameplay and longevity, but it is still too unstable. Generally, I can get 3/4 through the campaign with only occasional crashes before hitting a mission where you can’t actually finish as it is guaranteed to crash in same place. Even complete reinstall doesn’t allow you to continue past this point. Best workaround I’ve found is to go back to earlier save before the problematic mission and hope you get a different map/mission and if you are lucky you will get through it..Version: 1.4.7
✓ Great game questionable executionIts a very fun and faithful port of xcom 2 with all the fixings from pc. One problem though every time you start it after exiting it you need to download data from the internet. If say you don’t have internet currently wifi etc. you can’t play. Even if you have a save with what you thought was all the relevant data you still need to download again or you can’t continue. It makes the point of “mobile” gaming anything but. In short fun when you have a connection, but if you say go camping without it and want to play, pick another game in fact that seems to be a running theme with ferals ports of other pc games as well..Version: 1.4.7

✓ Serious interface issuesI have a iPhone 11 Pro Max. The interface when deploying your team has a serious bug. Once you go into the equipment change option not only can I not change the equipment there isn’t even a way to get out of that option. If you want to continue playing you have to turn off the app and start the mission without changing your equipment. Also, doubling tapping to move your troops is not very sensitive. You either have to zoom in to do It or try several times which is super annoying. I have a feeling there are more bugs and issues in this app I just haven’t discovered it yet as the app feels very clunky to operate. ✓ A poor PC portGood game, badly presented. Whilst the controls have adequately been adapted to mobile the Graphics, especially compared to XCOM enemy within, are a laughable mess. The the frame rate is so low as to be barely playable, the anti-aliasing is shocking and the cutscenes resolution is evocative of an early 2000s console release. Whilst the average mobile device might not have the power of a desktop I cannot help but feel as though this game is not taxing the graphical capacity of my iPad Pro to its absolute limit. If the you seriously intend to release a game like this on mobile at least allow us the basic dignity of being able to adjust the settings to suit our devices..Version: 1.4.3

Everything in this game is a lie. The design is based on one bee-line. every choice you make is worthless. You are passively guided to play one way only. Disgusting deception using a mask of complex statistical models duping people into playing on as they intend, thinking that they have free choice. ✓ Needs base game only optionI feel bad leaving a three star review but I wish I could disable all the DLC and play the base game. Apparently you can do this in the Switch version so this seams like an oversight. I’ve now purchased the Steam version so I can play the base game before coming back to WOTC..Version: 1.4.7
