✓ Perfect Apple TV app for HomeKit camsI'm using this for my Eufy and Nest cam that I connected via Homebridge. I love the autocycle feature so now I need more cameras for outside. I know there's a auto reconnect feature but I wish I could manually reconnect also without closing and reopening the app. This is still better than the default Home app when it comes to cameras on the Apple TV..Version: 2.3.3
✓ Perfect + Good ValueI was primarily looking for a HomeKit compatible app that would display my camera(s) on Apple TV, so that they effectively become a security monitor that is easy to flip to when using Apple TV. This app does that perfectly, with the added bonus of allowing you me to see both of my cameras live at the same time, which neither the Home app or the Netatmo apps allow me to do. As far as I can tell if my camera supports audio or 2 way audio then HomeCam supports it along with showing lights in those locations as well! This is my whole Home monitor in one and with an iPad or Apple TV I can see everywhere all at once in a single display! ✓ Sound not working on Apple TV for Homekit camerasThis is due to a limitation with apple’s homekit on the Apple TV, not the developer. Hopefully it will be fixed on Apple’s side soon. ✓ Logitech Circle ViewI don’t doubt the home app is great but my experience with the logitech circle view camera is I just about 100% negative. The camera is so finicky and goes off-line so often that I feel like I spent $160 and got nothing in return. The camera worked fine for several weeks and now all of a sudden after restarting and reloading and updating it just will not connect it remains off-line it has been off-line for two weeks. Other reviewer‘s of this camera have the same complaint its biggest fault is it goes off-line..Version: 2.2.5

✓ Very helpful, easy to useLike many others, I'm frustrated by the way Apple presents the video cameras in the Home app. This app solves all those problems! I'm able to configure the camera grid and reorder the layout. Now I can view my most important camera first when the app starts. Setup was easy and I don't believe I've ever had to tap the reconnect button. I can hear the camera microphone and even speak using the camera's speaker (my camera manufacturer supports that feature). ✓ Superb App - works so wellHomeCam displays the live feed from all of 6 my cameras really quickly. Even better a single purchase gives me HomeCam on all of my devices including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. There are plenty of options to control the layout including number of columns, video border and whether to display camera name. By default it shows all of my cameras but tapping one makes it full screen and then the outdoor temperature and humidity are displayed too (if available via a suitable HomeKit device in that location). Audio works well and can be turned in and off for individual cameras or multiple camera audio can be played simultaneously. I use Netatmo outdoor and indoor cameras and it works great with them..Version: 2.4
✓ More reliable than the native Home appI've had this app on iOS since it was first released. Over the years it has improved massively. It was a great bonus when I could also use it on the Mac. I've noticed that cameras which can provide a flaky stream (Circle 2) in the home app, seem to work much more reliably in HomeCam. In the home app the camera feed will eventually go to a black screen after a minute or so, but in HomeCam, it seems to reconnect. Excellent app and highly recommended..Version: 2.2.3
✓ Better than HomeKit for CamerasHonestly an amazing app. I would like to see some watch complications, but I can’t be picky otherwise so it’s still a solid 5 stars from me. It loads faster than HomeKit even though it loads multiple streams, brings them all live at once, lets them mute/unmute accordingly. It also shows way more detail including the temperature and humidity of the rooms the cameras are in (where applicable) meaning I don’t have to back out of the camera and up to the top like I do in the official Home app to see if the temperature is ok in my sons room. In terms of improvement, I would love to see the temperatures on the main multi feed when opening the app without having to go into an individual feed, maybe in the lower left corner (or configurable would be even better). Watch complications as mentioned before for quick access and also modern widgets (I’m aware they won’t be as useful as the old one in terms of being able to show live streams) that simply allow quick access to individual cameras would also be fantastic to multiple camera users like myself!.Version: 2.3
✓ Doesn’t work with Starling hub for Nest camerasI downloaded this hoping to be able to use it for viewing multiple Nest cameras. I have them in HomeKit by use of a Starling hub. Unfortunately most of them time the cameras show as unavailable. I assume this is an issue with a non-official HomeKit device. I’m sure the app would be great otherwise so consider this a PSA for anyone trying to use it with the Starling hub..Version: 2.0.9

✓ Feature RequestAbsolutely Brilliant, however it would be good if you could get the audio from a particular camera without having to “focus” on it, I’ve read other reviews and their responses and it seems like you can’t do it on certain devices and on the Lock Screen, but surely you can at least simulate “focusing” on a camera (getting the audio to play, as the video plays anyway) while also being able to view the other cameras. Like if you had a play audio button under every camera feed that would switch the audio the user is currently listening to to the selected cameras audio without actually “focusing” on said camera, because when you focus on a camera you loose visibility of the other cameras. ✓ Like it but.......Like that it shows the livestream of my 4 cameras. First issue: livestream’s stop/hang after a while. A restart of the app fixes it but problem repeats itself. ✓ Great app. One small issue.Quickest and easiest way to see my HomeKit cameras. My favorite feature is that it has a little red pop up with “motion detected in X room” from my indoor PIR (non-camera) motion sensors. That way if there’s a bump in the night, you can see that it’s just the family walking around the house. One small problem with those red “motion detected” pops though. When you first open the app there are a bunch of false popups while the app is loading. For instance, every time I open the app there is a red pop up for my door sensor, even though the door hasn’t been touched. If you could fix that one tiny little bug, everything else is perfect! ✓ Woot! Better than the Logitech app! Live baby!!Just set up sone Logitech circle 2 cameras to keep an eye on our place. Best HomeKit camera I’ve found - BUT - the app is kinda meh. Even HomeKit isn’t exactly awesome for taking a quick peek at things. But then as I was setting up homerun (BTW also an awesome app!) I saw the “also by this developer” thing and immediately bought it! So far, so awesome! I can now quickly pull up ALL 4 of my cameras on one screen, and see the live feed. The Logitech app shows a still from the last time you viewed the camera. It’s nice, but it’s not LIVE as soon as you launch. So kudos for a great app! Keep the HomeKit love coming!!!.Version: 1.5.5
✓ Excellent updatesWhen I first purchased this app I didn’t use it much as my HomeKit cameras could only support 1 person viewing them at any one time and for some reason this app locked them up. ✓ Great AppThe last update made the difference for me. I was about to give up. But now my Arlo Cameras work PERFECTLY. I wanted something to give me a continuous live feed simply. The Arlo app is is an administrator tool not a very good Cam console. This fills the gap perfectly. My cams would not display all at once. The app couldn’t maintain all cams. ✓ Solved my “window” use caseI wanted a window in my home office. I installed eufy cameras to HomeKit, and set my Apple TV to view through Home. But it kept losing connection, restarting home on Apple TV 3 times always got it back, but it happened many times in a workday. HomeCam solved the problem, and the live view is faster (cars driving by are less jumpy). HomeCam also displays the battery life. So now I have a “window” in my home office..Version: 2.4.1
✓ Works wellI purchased this for the Apple TV support, and this works very well. Although the layout on the TV seems a bit restricted. I have 3 circle2 cams that when viewed on the TV they all line up in a horizontal row that means small previews and wasted screen space. To have the layout auto adjust to use more screen space and bigger previews depending on the amount of cams would make this app near perfect. Even the ability to manually change the layout would be good. On the phone the app works well. Sometimes not all cams display a ‘live’ view, but that’s probably down to my network and not the app, but at times the preview says it’s not live (2h ago) when the actual feed is in fact live which can a bit confusing. The watch app works as expected, maybe a little slow to connect but that’s probably the cams fault, not the app. All in all a good app and worth the money..Version: 2.0.8
✓ Works well but one possible bugWhen the 10 minute automatic reconnect occurs the audio no longer streams. To get audio back you have to navigate back to the cameras list then into the camera again. This means we can’t use it as a baby monitor since the audio is important due to our son sleeping in a VPAP machine. The camera we’re using is a Logitech Circle View. ✓ Good solid app with little crashing and great reliabilityFantastic app since the apple home app isn’t available for Apple TV I use this to monitor my security cameras via both my Apple TVs. A quick Siri command to launch the app and I have full view of my cameras. It’s also great as any HomeKit compatible camera can be used with this app. So I have my Netatmo Presence covering the front of my house with the built in Floodlight, then 2 of my 3 Logitech circle 2 cameras covering the back Garden and the side path of my property giving access to the rear garden. The final one is in my Livingroom as we have a puppy and like to be able to check in on him as when we’re out that’s where he sleeps. I also have a Arlo baby mounted covering our upstairs hallway and staircase just incase one of the external cameras fail as this also gives us view of our front door at the bottom of the stairs. HomeCam links 3 different brand of cameras like homekit into one neat app that we can access on our TVs. I also have this in my today widget so I can quickly swipe left and my cameras appear. I took the package offered with HomeCam other apps including the HomePass which is fantastic for keeping on top of your HomeKit codes. The can mount up after a while and this app lets you keep them all handy incase you need to re-add the device for whatever reason. I can also get view of my cameras on my watch with this app and use it in conjunction with HomeRun which is great for triggering scenes and devices straight from your watch instead of having to scroll through a never ending list if your using the home app on your watch. HomeScan is a great tool for making sure your device is within range incase your trying to diagnose any problems being able to rule out the signal to the device being the problem. For the price I paid it’s been well worth buying the package as it’s added ease and control in automating, monitoring and maximising your smart home network. I highly recommend the app package and in particular HomeCam purely from the point of view of having the comfort of your CCTV security on your TV. There well built apps that hardly ever crash, if at all offering simple but intuitive functions, especially the home run for Apple Watch. This has made the clunky process of push button automations into easy to identify scenes or automations on your wrist without the need to endlessly scroll. You even have Siri shortcuts available with HomeCam for hands free viewing. I can’t recommend the app enough..Version: 1.5.6
