Home Workout - No Equipments for Negative User Reviews

DisappointedI’ve been using your home workout app for half a year now as a premium user and I think you app need more dedication! It doesn’t let you really mark your goal and all the workouts look more to train the strength than to build muscle... at the beginning is great but when you want to specialise or focus on certanin kind of train it is just really hard to do it. I tried to costume my own workout but apparently that section has no development at all as it is tedious to find the exercise you need and the back muscle section just doesn’t exist in there. It’s just frustrating because I really liked the app but seems like you don’t really care about your product..Version: 1.6.1

Personal plan is not user friendlyI paid for the subscription and used it for 4 weeks. The app set me up with a personal plan when I first opened the program. Based on a series of questions I ended up with two short workouts. I followed the workout for three weeks then I noticed it was the same amount of reps every time and the routine didn’t change. After investigating the app I noticed I was still in week one. Maybe that’s how it’s suppose to be but if not I couldn’t figure out how to advance the week. The app for me is not very intuitive as far as the personal plan goes. It’s good for seeing many different types of exercise but not much else..Version: 1.19.3

Yeah it’s nice butIt’s a decent app to use. But the thing is, at a certain point, the difficulty spikes up a lot. Some workouts they give you have exercises that depend on you having a lot of flexibility, furthermore these same exercises are very difficult to execute correctly, with the right posture and all. Granted, you have the ability to edit your workouts and replace exercises with others that fit the same category. Which brings me to the next point. This app encourages you to exercise everyday of the week, they don’t give you rest days at all, their 28x4 challenge is 28 workouts in 4 weeks, 1 each day. This is stupid!!! You need rest days or else your torn muscles won’t repair themselves and come back stronger!!! So there will be no gains if you follow exactly what they tell you to. Another thing, almost the entirety of people who will use this app will be beginners to exercising. That’s not so bad right? Well here’s the thing, when they open the app they put in their details and such, then they are asked what muscle group they want to work on. Once they choose they get their plan. But if you want to choose other ones you can’t, you can’t choose others. And if you want to, you have to wipe your data and start everything over, all the progress registered in the app will be gone and you’ll have to restart your entire program. One final thing, since this app will mostly be used by beginners, they will use this as their source of knowledge, their view of working out will be based off of their plan. The problem here is that the 28x4 program is a Bros split! The Bros Split is very inefficient and shouldn’t be put in practice. Instead you should practice a Push Pull Legs split. Why? Well in the Bros Split you have zero rest days, zero leg days and you work on one muscle group everyday. This means that you will exercise an upper body muscle group once per week. You don’t exercise your legs and you don’t get maximum gains due to lack of exposure. By which I mean you only exercise a particular muscle group once per week. But in the PPL split you practice push exercises, pushing exercises aren’t limited to a single muscle group it covers multiple muscle groups in a single session, then pull exercises which target all the muscles you exert when doing pulling motions and legs, which are pretty self explanatory. You do those exercises in order, push pull legs and then you have a rest day, then you repeat. This means you exercise multiple muscle groups TWICE per week. So for example, you’re on your push day, so you work your shoulders, triceps/arms and back, that’s 3-4 muscle groups in one day that you do twice a week instead of working on one muscle group individually each day. AND YOU DO IT TWICE!!! That’s why it’s bad to teach the beginners to do the Bros split instead of the PPL split. It’s a shame, there’s a lot of potential here. Hey this part here is an edit, firstly: thanks developers for listening to me and responding. Secondly I have some suggestions for you. It’d be amazing to be able to see the exercise example/model guy (the faceless guy who shows you how to do the exercise during your session) from different angles, like to be able to spin him around and see the exercise from different angles so that you have a better idea of where everything should be. And it’d be nice if the bug where if you leave during workout accidentally (say you turn off your phone or click out of the app) it resets the workout and you have to redo everything (or go back to where you were, but then your calories burned would show to be much lower and everything else). That’s about it, good luck..Version: 1.1.29

Great app until it started glitchingIm really enjoying using this app but recently when you change part of the workout. The workout that you change, changes the rest of the workouts so they do the same thing and to fix it you have to reset the entire workout which is annoying. I just want to swop out some excercises it is becoming annoying and I don’t know if it is due to my account being free but it shouldn’t be doing that..Version: 1.2.1

It’s good but…This app is okay but I done a workout at 11 something at night (don’t ask me why) and the time I finished ran past 12am which made it save the full workout and calories onto the next day including the calories I burnt before it hit 12 which made it very difficult to track my process without having to write it down. I also done a workout yesterday but I got a new phone today backed everything up on iCloud but it didn’t save yesterday’s progress (the workout, calories and even the steps) If you want to keep track don’t rely on the app to do it for you write it down somewhere. Also there definitely needs to be a larger variety of workouts because I’m not paying for a subscription just to get what? 2 more exercises that I could just look up for free?.Version: 1.10.0

Was Great for so Long.....I used to love this app, as it used to give the best workouts for me out of any workout app and it also had the capability of altering the listed workouts to my own workout plans. However, recently this app had a glitch on both my ipad and iphone. When I customized a workout and saved it, the app changed some of the other unrelated workouts to have the same plan. For example, when I edited a leg workout, it changed an arm workout and an abs workout to have the same exact exercises for some reason, causing me to lose my past data from customizing those workouts. If this issue is fixed, I would defnitely change this review to five stars because I loved this app. Nonetheless, as long as this glitch is present, I will not be able to enjoy this wonderful app on my devices anymore..Version: 1.2.1

Confusing options and settingsUsed this app for about a week but I find it a little bit confusing on how to use it. There are three options at the bottom, classic Discover, and personal which I feel that they all offer the same choices and it’s not clear which one I should use. Then when you go into the settings there are things like a training rest seconds and countdown timer seconds and I could really not find a relationship with the real time. First one is set to 17 and the second one to 10 it should be 27 second between exercises but sometimes it’s much less is some time is much more. I do like the visualization for the exercises though..Version: 1.14.1

Scam - can’t cancel - recurring billingWhatever you do…don’t buy this scam. I downloaded the app and asked for a refund. They charged me for the first month - and I tried to get a hold of ANYONE to acknowledge my cancellation and that they wouldn’t bill me recurring. No answer - no response to email. They kept billing me and I could get a hold of no one. I had to change my credit card and have my credit card company go after them. Terrible company - fail.Version: 1.19.3

Accurate calorie burning???I’ve been looking but maybe not hard enough but I was wondering how the calories burned are calculated? I wondering if the amount of calories burned was accurate cause it just didn’t seem like I was burning as many as it said I have been. So I look up each exercise and did a rough estimate on how many I burned based on how many calories are burned for each exercise. It wasn’t nearly as many as the app said I was??? So I’m curious if the app is accurate or not cause I count my calories so I’d like to know how many I’m actually burning. Other then that it’s better then any other free exercise app I’ve tried. Most only let you do a certain amount of days of exercise then you have to pay to do more. Which is super annoying so I like this app cause it also doesn’t shove the option of paying for extra stuff down your throat. I can tell that the exercises are your most insane workouts but if your just wanting to wind down and feel a bit better and feel healthier then this is probably the app for you. I have also lost weight using this app as well but of course diet plays part in that as well but I do feel like it’s helping. I hope this helps anyone that reads this paragraph of a review just know that the amount of calories burned pre exercise may or may not be accurate..Version: 1.21.2

An excellent app, but...This is an excellent app for working out during lockdown and I’ve noticed an increase in cardiovascular capacity, but...the promise of transforming your body into a more muscular version is a disappointing falsehood. I’ve been working out for a good few years now, with weights and with body weight workouts and I’ve always pushed myself with the moderate to intense workouts, but even after 5 weeks I’ve not noticed any change in tone or definition. And it isn’t my diet. I’ve done IF during this time, but made sure my protein intake was maintained so I know it isn’t that. This is a really good app for keeping fit. But nothing else, sadly..Version: 1.5.2

No for meBe careful, they took money on my credit card. It says 7 days free trial but it didn’t even have the time to select one option I paid for a year!!!! 60$ to the garbage for me. Not that it’s not a great app, I’m sure it’s a good one. But that for me didn’t cut it..Version: 1.15.2

My opinionI’m a young kid trying to lose some weight and then you need to pay for it and I can’t do that like I want a good work out app and not pay for it but the world live off of money and I can’t pay that I want to lose weight so bad have been for a while now and I seen this app and I’m like bet good reviews and good ratings but none say that you need to pay like is there a app that you can get and not pay for it I was so happy to start working out and getting in shape but then I had to pay and then I deleted the app right away I can’t pay that right now and I just feel like there will never be a app that you don’t need to pay for something on it and I’m done trying to find apps when you can go to a gym for cheaper then what is app is offering and I will do that then pay for this.Version: 1.18.0

Sync with iPhone health app not workingTried everything, nothing worked. The workouts are good though. -1 for the issue -1 for the helpless support team.Version: 1.20.1

It was ok but amazingThis app was amazing but it would just never load I read all of the reviews and nothing but I am going to get a new iPad because I’m trying this on my phone and its not working so I’m gonna get a new iPad it’s coming in the mail very soon and hopefully it comes because I’m very excited to have this and I personally I really want to try it and it seems very cool Door these five star reviews and I feel like I could use it my parents could use it my little brother can use of my older siblings can use it yeah if be great great.Version: 1.4.2

Refund pleaseThis is Siddhartha I am student. i recently took subscription of iOS-Home Workouts. there was 7 days free trail. today was end of it. I was about to cancel it today but got charged before canceling it. please refund me. and 50 dollars is really very big thing to me. please helps me.Version: 1.18.2

Please use the real human athletesThe update that was made recently switched all exercises demo from real human to machine generated. It’s harder to follow and see exactly what to do. Having a real person helps see the subtle body movement when stretching or doing the moves. Planning to not renew my subscription..Version: 1.20.0

Workouts are good but..Only 3 stars because it’s quite different to how it looks from your advertising, not super easy to navigate. Also please make it so you can add steps manually off your Fitbit if you can’t make your app compatible with other watches. Pretty silly you can’t. Only goes off phone which I’m often not carrying on me..Version: 1.11.3

Deceptive UI tricks you into purchasing before trialTLDR; I wanted to try the premium trial period but ended up charged twice due to a deceptive user interface. I wanted to make use of the 7-day trial and click on the “trial” checkbox that shows under the pop-up to purchase a subscription. I continued with purchasing the annual premium subscription as that was the only available navigation (besides cancelling out of the process). I was immediately charged the $59 and my subscription didn’t show the free trial. In the App Store I edited and switched to the “Annual (free trial)” subscription, and I was immediately charged a second time. Both charges are pending and I’m hoping only one goes through. Looks like I won’t get my trial period regardless. NOTE: There’s only 1 subscription option available in the app pop-up ($59/year). There are monthly options and a $19 annual option available through the App Store, but I was only able to access that screen after making the in-app purchase. So other subscription are only available after your first year, is my guess..Version: 1.1.17

Good App, has some flawsI really like this app. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, following the workouts as directed and I’ve noticed a lot of changes. I started out 190 pounds and I lost about 10 pounds of fat after a month. I was never overweight to begin with, but I shed pounds quickly in the beginning. Now over a year later I’ve been putting on lots of muscle weight, and weigh 210 pounds now. The problem I have with the app is, is that it’s telling me that I’m at an unhealthy weight now. The BMI calculation has my BMI at almost 26, which is technically unhealthy, but I’ve never been more fit in my life. I wish there was a feature to get rid of the BMI scale as it’s kind of unhelpful now, and isn't a great metric for people putting on muscle..Version: 1.12.2

Do not download. The app and programs are mediocre at best, there is no real benefit to purchasing this service. Aside from that, their customer service is terrible. I cancelled my subscription shortly after purchasing and was still billed for the next cycle, I contacted the company, explained that I had cancelled weeks before, had deleted my account and the app and they just outright refused to refund the money stating that there is no record of the cancellation request even though just through the nature of the app they would definitely be able to see that the account was deleted and app was never accessed again after the date of cancellation. I highly advise staying away from this app.Version: 1.16.1

The app is ok, but there’s sexism (TL;DR at bottom)This app is ok with workout routines for individuals wanting to exercise at home. But there is a slight problem. The pictures illustrating the women's workout routines leaves much to be desired. The advanced ab workout image doesn't even show well-defined abs, and the same goes for the other pictures in that category. The beginner and intermediate leg exercises are simply depicted as stretching movements, without capturing the essence of a comprehensive workout. The image for intermediate-level back exercises features a model with very little muscle development, which doesn't instill confidence in the effectiveness of the program. Additionally, the leg images across all levels don't show any noticeable progress or significant changes, which defeats the purpose of showcasing the results. It's difficult for me to believe that these workouts are effective when the pictures representing them lack visible progress or even basic standards. Furthermore, there is a clear discrepancy when comparing the women's images to those of men, which raises concerns of sexism. I kindly request that you address these issues promptly, as the current state of the visuals is unsatisfactory and makes me sick. TL;DR - The women's pictures are highly unsatisfactory and fail to demonstrate any progress, which makes you want to quit..Version: 1.16.6

Too much workouts that need paymentSure it does give you some workouts for free but most require payment. If you download this, don’t expect a lot of workouts that you can get for free. Other than that it’s pretty good..Version: 1.21.2

Good Simple Workouts, Does Not Sync to Apple HealthThe workouts are simple and quick, great for staying fit during lockdowns when gyms are closed. My only complaint is that the app doesn’t sync to Apple health despite enabling sync in the settings..Version: 1.5.2

The costThe cost of money is to high I can not pay for that this app sucks don’t recommend.Version: 1.17.3

Mr G TylerI have recently just payed 40 quid for the yearly premium version of this as I had trained for a month using the free workouts, all going well and had seen some decent improvements. Wanted to start building a more personalised routine so downloaded four different workouts with the idea to utilise them in my new workout programme. Since then I have not been able to download anything else and all it keeps saying is to check my internet connection!! Which I will add is perfectly fine.... I hope this is a fault and not some sort of limit on what exercises or workouts you can use? I would get in contact with them to explain this but the app gives you no way of doing this. Really needs sorting out so I would advise to think twice about paying a subscription because at the moment I feel pretty mugged off. Sort it out someone!!!.Version: 1.1.29

Can’t customize workoutCan’t make your own workouts only can pick from the selected ones … meh.Version: 1.15.3

Pfffff arnaqueIl ont essayer de me débiter 37$ alors que j’ai annuler l’essaie gratuit.Version: 1.20.0

It took my moneyThis is a great app, but I only wanted the free trial!!! When I cancelled the trial, I STILL got charged!!! It took $14 from my App Store account. I’m kinda worried this will keep taking my money and developer please reply 😰😰😰.Version: 1.1.24

MONEY REALLY!!Read the reviews it looked to be amazing! The second i presses in it it says money, can’t i just get in better shape without money being involved. I just want to look at my body and like it and here this comes give us money. Can someone just not workout anymore? Please someone make an app that u don’t have to pay.Version: 1.1.29

Good EnoughI’m a new user and so maybe I just don’t see how to maximize usage of the app but I’m slightly frustrated with it. I tried downloading a group of glute exercises so I could actually see what exercises were include when the app just started playing them all and I was not prepared for them (this is issue 1). I stopped it immediately but the app counted it as a completed exercise (issue 2)!! Then, I could find no way to delete the false workout no matter where or what I checked (issue 3). And, (issue 4) if I complete a workout outside of what the app has, I see no way of logging/ tracking it in the app. Either these things need to be made easier for users to do or, if the app doesn’t allow these things then it need to be updated to do so because this is pretty frustrating..Version: 1.21.3

Already paidI am wondering why I have been charged another $49 dollars I was happy to pay the initial cost but there was no explanation that this would be an ongoing subscription and I did check my subscriptions to make sure there wasn’t one, and there wasn’t so I expected that no further charges to take place. Can I please be refunded the $49!.Version: 1.16.1
