✓ Still too buggy!The previous version was very stable, this version crashed twice last night and soundcloud seems to be the culprit. Not good when your in the middle of a set. Great potential though.Version: 2.0.1
✓ Great comprehensive concept for DJingOverall I have not had any noticeable issues with this app. The one recommendation I will give however is that you allow the audio to be streamed through AirPlay. I’ve got two HomePods which unfortunately do not work through Bluetooth and so it does not allow me to send the audio directly to them. Headphones are an option but they can be tiring to the ears and an outer output will be much more convenient. I believe many users will be a lot happier with that feature. Thanks NI..Version: 2.4.1
✓ Wow..Hard to believe this is free, I bought the old Traktor app back in 2013 (and am still using it), and to me, thats a mark of how good the app is. its intuitive, well laid out and easy to use. When I saw this new version, I was looking for the catch, -& looking for the price. There doesn't seem to be one, so I'm impressed, as it looks as well put together, as the original v1.2.1 ios version was. The only thing I'm missing at present is the way FX were handled in the original, (i.e. there are no 'pads'...?). The icons and sliders are ok, but seem a little small, even on my ipad pro 12 inch. Definitely liking the new layout apart from that, and I think it deserves 5 stars simply for being free..Version: 2.4.1

✓ Good DJ App But Needs an Update ASAP!Nice app for casual DJing but it keeps crashing on iPad. Happened twice already. Unreliable in this state. I would wait for an update before trying. Update Aug 24: added a star for fixing the random crashing. Now just add internal recording, played tracks history, and some sort of preview function before loading to a deck and you will have a 5 star app! Update Dec 23: nice addition of the recorder but it is flawed. Picks up cueing even though the channel faders are closed. Seems to occur only on the right channel. Fix that and add played track history and 5 stars earned. Update Jan 19, 2020: Added another star as the recorder seems to be fixed. Recorded a 2 hour set with no issues with cueing sounds being picked up. The one thing I did notice is the recording time is off. After an hour the minutes continue from 60 instead of resetting to zero. So an hour 10 minutes reads as 1:70:00 instead of 1:10:00. No big deal though. Keep up the good work!.Version: 2.3.1

✓ The best DJ app, Pro grade, but no development in 4 yearsI absolutely love this app and I use it professionally. The UI is excellent. It is dead simple to use and stays out of your way so you can mix with ease. Advanced mixing features like looping and cue points are well implemented. The suggestion engine is particularly useful. Coupled with the Z1 controller (discontinued. WHY?), you have an ultra portable rig. There’s a few things lacking: You can’t create, save or edit playlists. (Version 1 could do this) You can’t import music from removable media. You can’t access your recordings in the app..Version: 2.4.1
✓ 15:00 min mark too long?Great app, up at the top in innovation, but then slides back to about...say whaaaaat? 15 minutes is too long not just to analyze, but even load for play? Those 15 minutes are my Pee tracks, with no wet messy residue. Say it ain't true! Well I can't, because even DJ's look like they gotta go, when they gotta go. ✓ This App it the ticketI have DJ’d in clubs, concerts & sports arenas for 16 years. This app has everything you need to mix legit tracks. It loads my I-Tunes library without issues. It cues, has looping, syncs and has headphone in cue advantages. You can also record without issue. No hidden costs or b.s. Hats off to the creators. ✓ DJ 2Traktor DJ 2 is capable of mixing professionally but it’s ruined by not able to access your recorded file in your IPad Pro. I was excited to buy new equipments for my studio to switch from Serato DJ working on the go with this App. But that’s not the case the new Traktor DJ 2 is different from the old App (Traktor Dj) where you can access your file you recorded. The Soundcloud is great if you have WiFi or internet access, but on the go most of us don’t have access to data or hot spot which defeats of having the Soundcloud feature in this App. I would have paid for this App if the feature was available..Version: 2.4.0

✓ Works good but missing some key featuresThere is no indicator of which tracks have already been played during the current session. No time of day or battery life display within the app. No way to pre analyze the tracks for faster loading or bpm tagging. Sync works great! All around great DJ app..Version: 2.1.1

✓ Awesome new look but something is missing...Great new interface guys, feels very intuitive and stable. Loving everything about the new app so far, but I was shocked to find that Flux Mode no longer interacts with Hot Cues or Freeze mode 😱 Flux scratching on the iPad is fun stuff for sure, but flux beat juggling with a touchscreen was THE reason to use Traktor DJ 1. ✓ Good initial releaseI’ve been using Traktor Pro for nearly 10 years and the original Traktor DJ since its release. I think this is a good initial release of a multi platform software from NI. I love the layout and look of the iPad and PC versions. It looks great and works well. Obviously as a brand new piece of software it’s a little bare bones, but I imagine there will be regular updates with new features. For me the biggest thing missing is the ability to import my Traktor Pro collection or Traktor DJ 1 collection along with all of my playlists, beat grids and cue points. After this, there needs to be cross platform metadata syncing so that playlists, beat grids and cue points are synced between the iPad and PC versions. Until this happens I will not be using this version. In addition to this, I’d like to see full beat grid adjustment tools, generic midi controller support and custom mapping, more FX options, Spotify integration, recording and an options menu to set preferences like default loop size, quantizing and active deck protection. I’m hoping these are all on NI’s to-do list and we will start seeing them in the next update. All in all a good first release and I’m excited to see what’s included in the next update..Version: 2.0.0

If you add new features and want to make this pro, I’d happily pay for pro version (as long as updates, bugs and quick fixes are seldomly provided, like any regular app developer). ✓ Needs shift grid!I love this app it’s high quality and easy. However, there is one vital function missing, which is shift grid or beatgrid. This feature is essential on Cross DJ Pro and DJay Pro, as it lets you set grid or downbeat on the go without stopping the tracks. Essential unfortunately!.Version: 2.3.0

✓ Coming from Traktor Dj on iPhone after 7 yearsI can get into this app easily. I bought an iPad specifically for this. A lot of the features from 1 are here. One feature I miss a lot, being able to look through a song waveform without effecting playback. Everything else I think is here. That I use at least. That would make my review a 5 star. ✓ Excellent updatesI’ve been a long term Traktor Pro user and started using the original Traktor DJ app when it first came out. Test drove version 2 as well but abandoned immediately when I couldn’t do basic things like adjusting beat grids. Color me pleasantly surprised when I took a look and saw all the updates! I’ll make apple give it 6 stars if I can once again set cue points and hot cues and that carries over to the desktop version of Traktor DJ 2! The moment that happens I’ll be looking at buying the new S4 hardware to replace my ancient Denon SC3700 decks. Salutes NI, salutes developers.... you guys are making Traktor dope again!.Version: 2.3.1

✓ 2.4 a significant step forwardNI continues to chip away at the missing features from TDJ1. The UI can now be set up to be practically identical (with the added bonus of retina scalable graphics). Long tracks can now be loaded, mixes recorded and the looping UI is much improved from TDJ1. We’re still missing the hyper intuitive beat adjustment UI and some FX, but it’s really coming along and great to see this app in active development. It’s after all my main tool as a professional DJ..Version: 2.4.0
