✓ FineThe app runs slowly and with a low frame rate. I have never experienced a crash. Mechanically, the game functions almost perfectly as far as I can tell. However, sometimes it fails to recognize when whiskey barrels are connected to the castle by roads, and so it sometimes miscalculates income. Hopefully this is an easy fix and the developers take care of it quickly..Version: 2.0
✓ FreezesIf you can actually finish a game it's great. Unfortunately, I usually get one game in that works fine. The second game always freezes up and I have to close the app. Definitely not worth $4.99 for a game that doesn't work..Version: 9.0
✓ Wait for bug fixesEvery issue mentioned in the other existing reviews, I’ve run into. Outside of all these issues, the app seems well done, so it’ll probably be worth a purchase at some point in the future, after the bugs are squashed. For now though, I had the tutorial hang on me, and my first attempted game with a friend and an AI hang. This was rushed, and in its current state, it’s a beta release at best..Version: 2.0
✓ Mostly greatNice implementation of the board game. AI is good fun and reasonably competitive. Online play works. I play it a lot online because I love the game but it’s a pain. Lots of bugs require reopening the app. I love the game so I play it, but there are lots of rough edges you’ve got to accept along the way. ✓ Utterly Useless and IgnoredOur family plays the tabletop version of this game so I bought the app for our 11 year old, BUT it has an inexplicable age rating of 12 on it, which means my 11 year old can’t play it as we have parental controls turned on. My issue with this is that there’s ZERO REASON for this age rating, as there’s nothing difficult or inappropriate about the game, especially when other vastly more complex Asmodee games, like Terraforming Mars and Scythe, have an age rating of 4 and 9 years old - I know adults who struggle with those two! All the developers have to do to fix this is change the age rating to something sensible but I’ve written to Asmodee 6 times and have been completely ignored..Version: 13.0

✓ AI suffers from AP?Really like this but frustrated that when playing against an AI opponent the game appears to semi-freeze when the AI player is collecting his points/money at the end of the turn. You can then only access the menu to 'quit' and end the game. If I'd checked reviews before buying I wouldn't have purchased so I can't recommend..Version: 13.0

✓ So glitchy!I love the board game version of this, so I was very excited to be able to play on my phone or tablet. However, there are constant glitches in this game! It makes it borderline unplayable. Right now if I start a game against the AI, it freezes up. If I quit out to go back in, the game is gone. ✓ Unplayable as so buggy. Money back please.1. Wouldn’t even download on the iPad so downloaded on phone instead. 2. Local game (pass and play) was so buggy that it was unplayable. It kept mixing up which player was who, then attributed my players moves to my wife’s character, and then didn’t let us add tiles when it came to your turn! 3. Froze after we reported the bug in game 4. In game tutorial actually teaches you how to report bugs... should have seen the frustration coming at that point I think! This looks like a great game. ✓ I want this so desperately to workAs a huge fan of the tabletop version, I bought this game as soon as it launched and right away found that local games with a guest glitch out into the 2nd round making it impossible to continue the game. Every. Single. Time. It will swap tiles between me and the guest and disallow anyone to place anything. The game itself does not freeze, I can open History or view the rules or menu, but I am barred from continuing on with the game, even with the wrong tiles. Without fail, every time. The game functions fine enough most of the time if I play against just AI (sometimes I cannot drag my tiles onto the board), but I didn’t buy this game to play against predictable AI, nor do I understand this apps focus on online p2p competition. A useless feature as far as I’m concerned. There are few truly multiplayer games for iOS, and with each update I hope this VERY OBVIOUS bug is fixed, because frankly how has anyone on the dev team not tested this feature? If it worked occasionally I could understand the oversight but nearly 6 months on the market and the most important feature doesn’t even work..Version: 13.0
✓ Keeps Telling Me to sign into GameCenterI have an Asmodee username and password since I play the other board games. But when I installed this Isle of Skye app and wanted to ply with my friends, I clicked on username and it asked if I already had an Asmodee username and password. I entered them and now it always tells me to sign into GameCenter. I don’t use GameCenter and don’t want to use it. I do t use GameCenter for the other Asmodee apps either. My Asmodee username and password should be good enough. This must be fixed!!!.Version: 13.0

✓ Went from buggy to unplayable with last update.This app has been pretty buggy from the get-go. The major issue has always been the AI getting hung up requiring a restart of the game in progress to get the AI to do something. This was annoying but somewhat minor since restarting was quick and easy. However, the most recent update has completely broken game saving. Since the AI breaks down in about 95% of the games I play, this means I have about a 5% chance of successfully finishing a game which is unacceptable. I'm not touching it until this is fixed and I will think twice about buying future titles no matter how much I love the game..Version: 9.0

✓ Bugs and corny tutorialThe app bugged several times during the tutorial asking me to press the “confirm and move button” when I had already done so. The only way to move on is to actually restart the tutorial which is a pain as it is slow and crippled with too many lame jokes instead of going straight to the point. Asmodee, maybe it’s time to fix this, the app has been out for a while now and apparently it’s still as slow as in the beginning..Version: 13.0

Also, it says you must sign in to “GAMECENTER” to play, but that is nowhere to be found on my iPad. I cannot even find out to dispute this with Apple Care. Save your $5 for something better. ✓ Bugs bugs and more bugsThis game seems to have been released before it was done baking. I literally had to redownload it 4 times before all the data was visible; the first time I tried to play, most of the graphics were missing from the tutorial, and it was literally impossible to advance said tutorial because the things I was supposed to tap on weren’t present. The next 3 download attempts resulted in several assets missing, notably the description of the scoring tiles. I finally seem to have downloaded all assets and can play local games against AI, but the keyboard never appears when I attempt to enter my asmodae account info, so I can’t log in to play online. Given my disastrous attempts to download to date, I am at best hesitant to redownload again, lest I find myself in a state where I can’t even play locally..Version: 11.0
✓ Fun, can't get friends listI play other Asmodee games with my friends often. Isle of Skye tells me I am logged in as Purple Skates when it opens. When I try to play with friends it tells me to enter my email or user name. I try each, but neither works. It just freezes at that point. It Never asked for a passeord or does anything else. I just downloaded this game and learned it to increase my social joy durring the pandemic. I enjoy the game. I really want it to work. Please. Help..Version: 13.0

✓ Multiplayer needs work.This game is still very buggy, however most are what I would consider minor inconveniences. By far for me the future of multiplayer will determine if this app stays on my phone, as even the hardest AI no longer presents any challenge. Players no longer taking their turns once they determine they’re having a bad game is the biggest issue. The game takes forever to time out, then literally never disappears from the running games lobby. If a player times out, he/she should be eliminated and the game continued to completion. I also feel that a player’s ranking should be negatively impacted if they time out otherwise there is no reason at all for people to continue if they feel they can’t win. This certainly has potential to be a great great app. I just hope the developers follow through with it..Version: 11.0

✓ Money back pleaseVery slow animations and no way to skip them - I don’t care where my opponents have placed their tiles. Wants me to log in over & over again - sometimes in the middle of a move. I have an Asmodee account for other games and have never had to log in after the first time. Constantly tells me to check my internet connection when I can get online with other apps/games. There’s no online instant game play so games are played out painfully slowly over days. Forget this... it could be good, but it isn’t. ✓ Broken now with the iOS 14 update.Was working fine, now picking casual game or running games, after the asmodee account login it goes to a popup that says “Login with Game Center” that I can’t get past. Can’t either create or join a game anymore. Useless..Version: 13.0
✓ Works, sort of . . .There are a few bugs and glitches. This game hasn't been updated in years. It's pretty much abandonware at this point, so nothing is getting fixed anymore. The glitches and bugs don't bother me as much, nor the slow gameplay. What annoys me the most is the game A.I. Online multiplayer is pretty much not an option, being messy and hard to find a steady game. So I play offline. Easy and medium A.I. are brain dead, so I play against hard. Now this is where I have the problems . First is the A.I. is not trying to win, but make you lose. They will work together to screw you. An example that has happened a few time is I've set my tiles at a high price that none of the A.I. can buy, so the first two A.I. will buy useless tiles from the second two, which allows the second two buy both my tiles. My second problem is the tiles seem to favor the A.I. more. Tiles the A.I. needs have a higher frequency of appearance, while tiles you need have a lower chance of appearing. I don't know if this is real, but it has happened in the majority of games I've played..Version: 13.0

Twice game froze and couldn’t restart. Bots turns take ages and often crash game. I love and own the real life version of this but this is terrible. ✓ Great game, AI needs improvement, cannot play onlineI love this board game and was excited to play the app. The app is quite well done, except for a few bugs (such as the app freezing in the middle of every 4 or 5 games) and the bizarre login screen that doesn’t work at all unless you have gamecenter enabled on your iPad. My biggest complaint is that I have yet to succeed getting an online game started. I keep starting games but never get an opponent. So I have been playing exclusively with the AI which unfortunately is not very advanced. Even the highest level AI seems programmed to favor territories over all else, even if NONE of the scoring tiles included territory tiles. So rather than place a tile in a way that earns points (e.g. connect it to the castle), it will close a territory for 0 points. Pretty frustrating that it doesn’t play better. I should not be able to win against the hardest AI 98% of the time... I am not that good..Version: 13.0
✓ Needs workI don't like to give crappy reviews but this game is not market ready. Tried to play offline with two human and one AI players and it was glitch city, culminating in the game just freezing. I'm running an iPad mini 4 with iOS 10 so there really shouldn't be any issues there. On the positive side, it looks like it'll be a very good app... once the technical problems are resolved. Edit: the recent update seemed to improve functionality initially but unfortunately the glitches soon resurfaced and the game eventually froze again. It should be said that, for some reason, these problems seem mainly to afflict the game when playing with more than one human player. I've managed to play a few single human vs AI opponents with either no or minimal glitches. And what I've seen so far leads me to think that this will be a great app once the wrinkles are smoothed out..Version: 6.8
✓ Buggy software but a great gameSo far I played this maybe 20 times. Maybe 3 out of 20 I had to abort the game because the AI was stuck or some corner case was not fulfilled which prevented the game to go on. I wish the developers can fix those bugs soon..Version: 13.0
