RP Diet Coach & Meal Planner for Positive User Reviews

Love this app!!It’s so easy, i just plug in the foods I want to eat and it calculates it for me. I have struggled with weight for years but this tool has really helped me!!!.Version: 1.18.6

AmazingI have dropped 30lbs in less than 6 months using this program and I now weigh less than I have in at least a decade. No easy feat for someone staring 40 in the face. It makes meal prepping simple and easy by allowing the user to select foods they want to eat and telling them exactly how much of it to put in every meal down to the gram or tenth of an ounce. So easy to batch out meals, even if it gets a little more complicated on training days. The diet autoregulates on a weekly basis and lets you know if you should be changing your macros or changing which program you are on so it’s really easy to see if you should be continuing to lose weight for that phase or if it’s time to give yourself a break and move into maintenance or even a massing phase. I haven’t tried the massing program yet, but I’m sure I will once I reach my weight loss goals which is sure to be right around the corner! The one caveat is that the app is designed with performance athletes (competitive bodybuilders, powerlifters, crossfit athletes, endurance athletes, etc) so it may not be optimized for the normal sedentary person and some of the vocabulary could be confusing to complete nutrition novices. However, learning how your body works and processes food is something everyone should want to know and it’s really not too complex so far as the app is concerned so I think anyone can benefit from using this after a small learning curve..Version: 1.7.10

Amazing!Really don’t have to do any thinking, it’s been such a good help and it’s been so nice to not have to worry about anything because RP has been doing all the work (in terms of calorie decreases etc)! Won’t use any other app!.Version: 1.21.11

GoodIt’s a good app but it’s never going to be the same as a person who can listen the challenges you face.Version: 1.21.16

Get lean fastIf you're looking to get leaner then I recommend you download the RP strength diet app. It’s so simple and easy to use, it tells you what macros to eat and when and helps you portion out your foods accordingly. I’m 42 days into my first 12 week cut and without changing my training (CrossFit) I’ve lost 7llbs of fat and 8cm from my belly. I’ve felt satiated through the day and fuelled for every workout. I’m now leaner and stronger then I have ever been before and I’m hitting PR’s weekly. It’s like a personal diet coach in your pocket. You have control over how aggressive you want to be and you can change this after every weekly weigh in depending on where you are versus your overall goal. I’m sure more updates are in the pipeline to make this even better but I would highly recommend this to anyone with nutritional goals..Version: 1.6.11

Easy to useI used the RP templates when they first came out, I liked them but there was a lot of math and counting involved! The app makes it straightforward and easy, I love I can toggle the different items to choose my perfect meal, much better than MyFitnessPal! I’m an athlete and nutrition coach myself and like the accountability and meal timing as I feel it made a massive difference to my performance - also RP is the only diet that makes me eat balanced with lots of veggie and fruit with no effort! Only issue I encountered is that the scanner never works, probably because I’m in Europe - and most items don’t come up in the search either but you can quickly save your own so not really a problem..Version: 1.13.4

OMG!I am in disbelief about how amazing, easy, user friendly and motivating this app is! I hesitated getting it for months because I assumed it would be complicating, but finally caved and decided to give it a go. BEST NUTRITION APP, E V E R! Seeing amazing results, I am NEVER hungry and lost 6lbs in first 2 weeks. I cancelled my other nutrition coaching subscription because I’m a RP-er for life! 💪🏼💜.Version: 1.19.6

A lot of negative reviews, so here is a positive oneThis is more towards the impatient and eager a like. Buy the app for 1 dietary cycle ( 3 months total). Take your time and learn the app don’t rush, it’s not as simple as you think. Listen to the rules of the app, try to cut out booze and treats. Get good sleep and prioritize your training(if you can). This is not like the pitiful underarmour app “fitness friend pal thing”, this is real! Let me be blunt If your making your diet to complicated you’ll fail. If you want crazy luxurious meals you’ll fail. If you can’t realize what your currently doing isn’t working you’re going to FAIL! being wishy washy? YOUR GOING TO FAIL! This app is all about consistency for a busy life style. I was 275 (pretty chubs) and yo yo’d up n’ down trying every diet under the sun. A former wrestle and avid weightlifter I thought I knew something about “diet”(don’t we all) but I knew very little about life style. Enter RP. Consistency and timing in your food is just as important if not MORE important than your exercise. I even have been seeing result in my sleep(pretty sure this fix my circadian rhythm). I love the organization and guidance. No guessing or “long additional meal planning”. The custom template is super fun and I’m actually looking forward to weigh in days! Try it, $45( for 3 months, 15 bucks a month) Btw it has endless vegan options( I love dead animals but hey gotta was inclusive).Version: 1.13.4

New PerspectiveI’ve never focused on macros over calories, but I’ve been struggling with my body recomp. After enjoying this straightforward and easy to use app free trial, I will be subscribing. I recommend watching the videos in the help section before setting up your diet and then it’s effortless from there!.Version: 1.19.15

Excellent diet macros counting systemThey have very supportive e mail support a website and a FB group Recommend.Version: 1.15.11

Best app to use, follow and actually stick toEat to use. I love the “rebalance” function - it makes my life so much easier. It’s so straightforward to add in foods. Also I’m never hungry and IT WORKS!.Version: 1.21.16

Sleep feature and recurring day featureI love this diet program, I’ve used it many times over the past 6 years (before and after the app) for many successful cut and maintenance phases. It has always helped me be extremely successful with improving performance, body composition, and weight loss. I’ve used the app for 2 cuts in the past year or so, and then took a macro counting hiatus over the past 9 months. I am ready for another cut phase via the RP app I have to say that the sleep/recurring days feature is extremely annoying. It adds a lot of complexity to setting up each week and seems completely unnecessary. It’s very frustrating for someone like me who doesn’t have a set schedule each week (bedside nurse). It is discouraging me from wanting to use this app for my cut because it’s taking so much of my energy and time to change my daily schedule each week. That’s why I am giving a 4/5 rating. It would be 5/5 if the sleep feature was easier and if the recurring day feature could be turned off. I liked the app much better before this feature..Version: 1.15.11

If only it would like to the MFP database of Aussie foodsThis app is excellent and the way it sets out all the meals and amounts for you is like no other. My only issue is that most of the foods have to be added manually which can take a bit of time given they’re not stored in the database. This is mitigated my eating the same foods/ meals but can be a bit annoying sometimes. The results are excellent. I’m now looking at getting the strength template to maximise the results..Version: 1.16.4

Great appLike the app, but think if u can add foods also would be handy..Version: 1.6.9

AmazingSubscription is worth every penny, love the app and plan to keep using it!!.Version: 1.21.5

Finally! Results on my terms and accountability. I am never at a loss not knowing what or when to eat and I can make adjustments as my day unfolds. Priceless..Version: 1.21.11

Love thisTakes a bit to learn how to use, but once you do it’s so easy to stay on track..Version: 1.19.19

RP provides accountabilityI have tried this app, which I find is very helpful to keep me accountable. I like how it focuses on macros and instead of calories. I also like how I was eating smaller meals throughout the day. However, I don’t like how I have to eat a certain times. If my workout lasted longer than expected I would have to go in and reset my day and would lose my meals for the day. I also found it difficult to eat late at night. I usually eat most of my food in the middle of the day, and am fine at night. Although I find this app helpful, I don’t find it conducive to my lifestyle. It has helped me reset my eating habits and has taught me a few things. I recommend this for someone who doesn’t know where to begin, needs a reset, or has a very routine-filled life..Version: 1.13.4

Rp diet reviewThis is a very well made app, clearly a lot of work went into it. Once I got to grips with it, it was very easy to use and the allowances given were helpful and clearly evidence based. I wish it was a little easy to make it more flexible. All around a great app and I would recommend to people who are a bit more serious about their training.Version: 1.21.5

Very functional and easy to useIt’s made meal prepping a breeze and the science works! I’ve learnt so much about nutrition with RP. Surprising bug free for an early addition app..Version: 1.6.11

Fat loss successAll my life I have tried to loose fat content. I have 10.5 kilos of lean muscle mass per leg so I get to keep that. On this plan I finally get to see it. I never knew the difference between high density vege/carbs - that milk falls under a protein not a fat - loads more. I like the restriction on food choices although I can choose my own. The restrictions give peace to my chaotic thinking around food choices. I get a reputable education. Thank you..Version: 1.6.10

Fantastic at keeping me accountable to my goals!!I have run 2 successful cuts and a maintenance phase using the RPStrength App so far. While my knowledge on performance nutrition was already very good and I felt confident in setting up my own macronutrient profile… I needed the accountability. Being able to choose how many meals I wanted to eat each day, being guided on the times of day I should consume these meals around training, and having the macronutrient breakdown for each of these individual meals was exactly the kind of structure I personally needed to succeed. Being able to engage with the coaches and other RP users on the community FB page was also priceless and very supportive IMO! Would highly recommend..Version: 1.21.4

Helped me so muchBefore getting this app I was in a deficit for about a year. I didn’t know until now (after using the app ) that’s not good i’m pretty new to the fitness world. Less than five years. I lost 50 pounds naturally back in 2021. I have been on my fitness journey ever since. Which I’m sure most people know there’s a lot to learn. I am super grateful for this app because I trust Dr. Mike not only because he’s super hilarious and relatable but he’s super knowledgeable and provides the science behind it l. Without this app, I think I would still be in a deficit thinking that less calories means better results. I’m currently on my maintenance calories and I’m able to push it harder at the gym then ever and I can’t wait to see the next year of my life looks like not only because I’m no longer restricted with food but I’m actually seeing results again, I’ll never forget the day when I did my weekly review and I tried to stay in a deficit, and the app told me if I did this i’d be wasting my time basically thanks again Dr. Mike for all your knowledge and willingness to share it with us..Version: 1.21.16

Amazing appThis is the best nutritional app on the market.Version: 1.13.3

AmazingEvery time I run this app, I see results be it fast or slow.Version: 1.12.13

Great Tool for Weight Loss!I have zero complaints about this app. As a trainer, I’ve been using the app to plan my meals during the cutting I’ve been doing over the past 7 months. So far, I’m 30 lbs down and seeing a massive difference! The convenience and flexibility I get by using this to measure my ingredients has saved me so much time. I’d never done strict macro tracking before using the RP Diet Coach app, and it’s made it so easy, I wish I’d started much sooner. This isn’t really a general use concern, but I do wish there was a more controlled way to bump calories up for a deload week. I suppose you could just say you want more calories in the weekly review (up to now I’ve been doing rough adjustments in my head), though I don’t know what kind of result that would produce. It’s a pedantically small issue, and definitely not enough to keep me from recommending it to anyone looking for a great diet app!.Version: 1.21.16

Ok I guessThe organising meals are ok but it’s on the high end of protein which makes it much lower carb than I need, and no flexibility for changing this. May suit others..Version: 1.13.4

Brilliant and effective solutionI’ve used this app a number of times to both cut and maintain. I found it really intuitive and normally I have the breaking strain of a warm KitKat with these types of things. Love it. Recommended by Alethea Boon - she was right!!.Version: 1.19.17

Better than other tracking appsAlthough there are some products missing in the food database, this is the best app I’ve tried out of many for tracking and planning meals..Version: 1.21.11

Best app on the marketThe RP team has done an excellent job doing up this app. Took a couple of days to understand it and set up but after that its very easy to use. Highly recommend it to anyone!.Version: 1.12.13

Quick and simple way to count macros and track progressIt works great, makes things so easy, great recommendations on how much to eat. I have 2 requests though. 1) I bulk prepare my meals, and I’m not super super picky about macros, I’m not a competitor, just getting healthy. My request is an option to make all the meals divided equally. I understand there’s a benefit for having more carbs at a certain time of day care another, but I don’t really need to get that in depth. I’d like to see an option to automatically split up all of your macros evenly throughout your number of meals. I do it manually now but automatic would be good. 2) I don’t know if this is actually possible but if you could find a way to link to health apps that would be great. If I could link this app to my apple health app and my whoop app and they all communicated to base my macro needs off of how much I actually do instead of it being subjective about how active you are. “I’m active 6 days a week” - walks 2000 steps 6 days a week. Either way this app has already made losing fat through diet alone immensely easier. Great job, can’t wait for an app that does this for workouts..Version: 1.19.6

Blown AwayGuess work gone! Not sure how but I feel like it takes away me having to think to hard about what I’m doing but at the same time I’m learning so so much....Thanks team!.Version: 1.12.0

My struggles are overThis app has changed my life after years of struggle. It’s so easy and it tells you what to eat, when, how much. You just follow the instructions and put trust in the app and hey presto the weight comes off exactly as planned. I can’t get over how easy this app makes life. I used MyFitnessPal for years and it was a real grind. This is something completely new. I feel like I’m learning how to eat properly for the first time in my life. Just get it..Version: 1.7.10

Ricky McgloneI am currently being housed in a detention centre in Sydney. This App has enabled me to stay focused on my food intake in very a trying environment. I have been able to adjust on the go without having access to scales. My first fat loss cut has seen me lose 7kg in under 7 weeks. This app works!! The app has allowed me to create a strong and positive mindset as well as teach me sensible eating practices. Thank you Renaissance Periodisation for helping me get through my current situation..Version: 1.17.11

Great for a starting app!I have already been using the FL templates for a year and love them. I bought the app to make life easier on the run, and to have access to mass calculations. So far it’s great! I know they are already working on vegan options which is great. As I am allergic to dairy and egg so the protein powder options don’t work for me. I just put down egg powder, and adjust my days carbs based on the carb content of my rice/pea protein powder. I use almond or coconut yoghurt for my bedtime fats at the moment, so if need be I adjust carbs there as well. There is no ability to use dairy free yoghurt for fats, only for protein, so I have had to select PB and just manually calculate myself. If you can add vegan protein powder, and non dairy yoghurt to fats (for those of us who eat fatty yoghurt as it’s the only non dairy one) it would be awesome. Thanks!.Version: 1.1.5

Not what I was looking forI was looking for an app to track my meals. MyFitnessPal was awesome 10 years ago, but over time there have been so many added versions of food that finding the accurate version is difficult. This is a meal planner. You cannot log what you actually ate. This app wants me to eat 40g of protein at bedtime. I’m not doing that. I won’t fall asleep with that food on my stomach. I contacted the company and there is no way around that. This isn’t what I was looking for. I’m glad they offered a 2 week trial so I could figure that out before investing. If you want to see that they suggest 30g of protein for lunch and then a list of ways to get 30g of protein and the appropriate portion size, this is the app for you. If you’re looking to hold yourself accountable, keep looking. This isn’t the program for you. ***UPDATE*** First... these people reply for sure! They are very responsive. Cannot day enough for how awesome they are about that. I’m still struggling with believing this will be a match for me, but my friend got her to give her more realistic macros. The game is you have to lie to the app to compensate for unpredictable things. Example: I wake up early because I take a medicine that requires I not eat for an hour after. I need to tell it I’m waking up when I’m eligible to eat. I’m going to set up another diet and give it another try. 😊 And will try Casein before bedtime. Thanks!.Version: 1.13.4

Easy to use and incredibly helpfulI love the ease of this app and it’s sheer simplicity. It allows you to adjust your meal plans dependent upon what you feel like eating on the day or indeed if you want to plan well ahead. It also allows you to retrospectively adjust individual meals if circumstances change and then adjusts the rest of the days macros accordingly. Awesome!.Version: 1.6.0

Simply amazing, amazingly simpleUsed a few different calorie tracking and diet apps in my time and the RP diet coach makes things so easy, recommends adjustments week-by-week to help you meet your goals. In the app we trust, and so the gains we make.Version: 1.20.2

Excellent platform- results oriented, ongoing feedback and accountability.Great application- I have used the paper based templates, and whilst they’re great, this is more flexible. At your fingertips, able to make changes/adjustments etc. At first I didn’t think the “checking in” of the meals would be that helpful, but it actually is, as is the reminders to weigh in. Seriously recommend. I’ve been trying to lose 5-8kg for the past year. I’m midway into a cut with the app and I’m down 4kg. I think I’ll make my goal this time. I like the science/non-fad approach- slow but steady wins the race. They have podcasts and Facebook groups. They really stand by their product with good support. If I were in the USA I’d give it 5 stars, but being from Australia, the barcode scanner doesn’t work, which is a bit annoying. However they have a work around of being able to enter your own macros for bought foods. What would he fab (I don’t expect the barcodes of every food of every country!), would be the ability for the app to “learn” barcodes, ie I enter a food products details, scan in the barcode for that food, and now it’s available to not only myself but other users..Version: 1.13.4

From disordered eating to confidenceCouldn't weigh myself for three years. Could never explain my fluctuating weight. Rp diet is scientific and I don’t rely on any coaches. I can finally rely on myself. Greatest app I’ve used and I have been in the fitness game for many years..Version: 1.11.7

Great for American UsersAn outstanding app that really makes it simple to achieve your fitness related goals. However it is very limited as an Australian user because there are very few if any foods that are recognised by the barcode scanner or search function. If RP would upgrade their database to the same ones that MacroFactor (my current diet app) are using, it would be an instant resubscribe for me..Version: 1.21.7

Simple and sensible toolHave had repeated success in using this app and the RP system to improve body composition. The approach takes the fuss out of having to prepare spreadsheets and look things up or convert cooked and no cooked weights etc. Recommend for novice and experienced as it is versatile.Version: 1.13.4

Great plans and easy to followThis app is fantastic. I love that it adjusts every week depending on my personal progress, but also lets me have enough say that I can manage how tough it will be mentally. As well as starting to look better, from week 1 I could truly feel the difference in wellness and recovery from eating balanced macros. The only thing missing for me is a web based interface so I can check in and meal plan from my computer!.Version: 1.13.3

Great AppThis app takes a few days to get used to. I didn’t like it at first but I love it now. It isn’t a normal food tracker. It is a food planner. It is perfect for folks looking to cut, build, or maintain. It takes out the guess work. I highly recommend!.Version: 1.18.6

Great Macro Planner! My first time tracking macros and this app helped so much. I’m an ultra runner and recently added weights to my program. It was important to me to keep my hard earned muscle while I trained for my next race. The app (and the RP endurance template) has helped keep me on track with my training and goals. Gotta keep those hard earned gains! I loved to plan my meals the day before and use the app to help me hit my macro targets. It was actually fun and felt like a game or a puzzle to see what would work! The carbs earned after my long runs were super motivating and rewarding!! Haha! Definitely felt like the app helped gamify it and keeps it fun. Thanks RP!! I also felt like I have learned so much in the process. Some of my favorite foods were a little more fat dense than what I realized. Not a priority in my training right now so it was great to have sight on focused fueling. Highly recommend the app for everyone!! Even endurance runners!! (Maybe especially). Happy training All!!.Version: 1.21.11

Great toolThis is so easy to use, by far easier than any other out there. Great value for money, would recommend.Version: 1.7.4

Best App Out ThereLet me start by saying—this is not a calorie counter. If you’re goal is to reach a set number of macros whether it may be for weightloss, maintenance, or weight gain this is hands down the best app I’ve come across. I recommend this app to all my clients, even if they’re not able to meet their macros. The way it recommends healthy food first and helps you step by step set goals, create balance meals and such really takes the stress off me as a personal trainer without a nutrition partner. I’ve been using this app for roughly 7 months now and have nothing but good stuff to say about it. I will easily drop any other subscription I have to make sure that I keep the RP Diet App on my phone no questions asked. If you’re serious about your fitness this app is a must have for your arsenal. The only thing I wish is that it would still give you the total calories you intake for days that you might miss your macros you can still get in the right calories. But the app is actively always being improved so I’m sure something like that will come in the future..Version: 1.17.9

Great App - Great ProgrammeRP is a great programme to follow. You have to commit but that’s on the individual to do that. When I eventually did commit I was amazed to be able to cut weight yet still initially eat certain foods I like. The app version of RP is flexible, functional and quite easy to use. It’s worth taking the time to have a good play with recipes. With the added barcode integration it gives you more variety. I’m still in my cut phase. This is helping me stay on track, meal streak and percentage is added incentive, regular weigh ins are good especially in the context of the weight loss graph in the RP App. I can’t think of anything in the app that is missing so for that reason I’ve gone top 5 stars..Version: 1.13.4

Je recommandeMeilleur app suivi de l’alimentation.Version: 1.21.8

Wish I found u sooner!!Long story short, I’m nearly 40, a homeschooling mom of 3 and obese for most of my life. Been on this journey for 8 years now learning how to deal with my physical and emotional food addictions. Also learning how to develop discipline and consistency in exercise. Recently started training with a trainer but had trouble losing weight even though I’m gaining strength. Been on the RP diet for 2 weeks and lost 5.5 lbs!! Love how easy it is to meal plan and the reminders to eat! Makes it so easy to get the needed macros and calorie deficit all while cooking for my family of 5 and keeping house and homeschooling among other things. Wish this app had more marketing toward my demographic but I’m so thankful I found it. Wasn’t sure it would work for me because I felt it was geared toward the performance athlete which I am not! But I gave it a try because I understood the science behind it and thought it should work for me too! So glad I did! Gonna keep on the app plan because it is so helpful and effective! Reasonable price too for all the intuitive design! Thanks RP!.Version: 1.11.4

AmazingReally amazing app, results so far 3 weeks in better than could of expected. Tells you when and what to eat (macros) and adjusts to your lifestyle. Takes a few days to get used to weights of certain foods. But well worth it..Version: 1.13.4

Great appI’ve used a few and I am really liking the layout of meals, notifications and accountability..Version: 1.12.13

RP has nailed it with this app!I’ve never seen progress like I have with this app, they have made things idiot proof and I have lost fat while hitting new PBs at the gym, as well as still keeping a balance with my lifestyle. Could not ask for more! It keeps you accountable and lets you determine exactly what you want to eat. I think that maintaining my proper protein levels whilst timing my meals around training has made a huge difference. Thank you!.Version: 1.11.4

Like Having a Coach in my Pocket!I purchase the fat loss template first and used it for a couple years, I had good results. I saved it on my phone like an app so I could easily access it but, after watching the IG transformation page, the people who used the app seemed to have a little more advantage, so I decided to try it, glad I did. First week was awesome down almost 3 lbs. that never happened with the template. The meal check-ins, the weigh-ins, the roll over, and weekly reviews make me feel accountable and conscious about my focus daily. I’m literally pushed by the push notifications. The program is worth every penny. The app changed the game for me. Planning my meals don’t feel like a chore anymore. I enjoy it. The food lists allow me to also so what I have in the fridge or pantry that I can use without having to run to the store as much. Ok, done typing. I want to say thanks RP but felt a little commercially. But it’s clear that A LOT of thought went into the step by step processes for your athletes and customers! So, thank you!.Version: 1.8.12

Many good improvementsI used the app back in 2019 and it was okay. But the the new update this year in 2022 I can see myself issuing this app long term. Love all the new updates!.Version: 1.19.10

Love the appI’ve used the app to lose and gain weight successfully and ju at bought a years subscription to keep up the progress!.Version: 1.20.3

Success in your pocketIt’s certainly a learning curve to understand the method, but the app is fantastic at being a diet coach. It is NOT a good tracker, it advises you how much food to eat and when. I’ve had amazing results in the last year of using it and now enjoying maintenance!.Version: 1.15.9

Lots of room for improvement; one of the few that offers strong weight gain optionsHaving used the premium version of this app for a few months, there’s a lot of things to like about it. The focus on protein is rare in a diet app and is appreciated. The weight loss and weight gain algorithms seem to work pretty well, and have served me well through a mini cut phase and a short bulking phase. The food selection menu is a little clunky, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fairly straight forward and works well. That being said, the meal timing aspect and the fact that you can’t select less than 4 meals per day drives me NUTS. The app forces you to choose between 4-6 meals per day and dictates a fairly rigid meal timing schedule. 4 meals a day is quite hard to accomplish; I can only imagine how crazy 6 meals a day would be. The app suggests that if you skip a meal, you should combine two meals into one, but offers no easy way to do so within the app, and you end up trying to balance macros over two separate meals which is a total nightmare. I get that meal timing is somewhat important; however, even the people at Renaissance Periodization feel that this makes up maybe 20% of the total benefit that diet planning brings to the table, with macros and total calories being the other 80%. Please relax this requirement and offer a 3 meal per day option, or just forgo the meal planning/timing entirely and focus on total calories/macros..Version: 1.11.4

Works well, needs tweaksThe app works love how it adjusts the calories and macros for you depending on how you are gaining or losing Disappointing that In the U.K. we pay almost twice as much as the US even though the app is really lacking on U.K. brands Suggestions It would be nice to set a recurring pattern over more days than 7 for example my work schedule is over 8 days having to change it every week could eventually wear thin and cause me to cancel for example I work Monday Tuesday 6am-6pm Wednesday Thursday 6pm-6am that means I finish Friday and am off work for 4 days then start again on the following Tuesday. More U.K. brands So after just one week the scheduling is a nightmare, no good unless your schedule is consistent over 7 days, anything else you have to modify each day every day then you get clashes all gets very confusing..Version: 1.16.4

My Fitness Pal....what’s that!!I’ve been stuffing around with numerous apps such as MFP for years & always lose interest because of the time it takes to load all your meals etc. which obviously results in a part of my training plan not being on point. I’ve since started powerlifting & stumbled across a podcast about Renaissance Periodisation & have been using the RP app for almost a month now, I must say it’s so easy to use, it’s almost doing everything for me. Definitely rate this app highly & have been telling everyone about how good it is......get on it peeps👌.Version: 1.7.10

JamieAwesome way of dieting. Massing or cutting, this is the easiest way to do it. Went from ~21% bf to ~10% bf in around a year..Version: 1.11.6

Amazing appCan’t rate this app high enough I dropped 28kgs in 12 weeks through exercise and using this app but being 100% adhering to the app, my advice is you have to be honest and trust the process no ‘guessing’ when measuring your portion sizes etc it really works.Version: 1.13.4

Best Diet EverI’ve tried it all. Keto, fasting, carnivore. This is by far the best and most sustainable way to diet. It also educates you on portion sizes and what your meals should look like..Version: 1.19.17

I wish I found RP diet sooner!I wish I’d known sooner that I could be using an app to track my macros rather than counting my calories!! I love this app because it makes it easy. Other apps I’ve tried I have to enter what I’m deciding to eat, and when I have been making the best choices it’s tough. This app reminds you when it’s time to eat and it gives a list of foods available for your macros. I usually compare the list to what’s available and decide my meals from there. The ones I enjoy I save! It makes meal prepping, shopping, and eating so much less of a chore! I have made more progress in ONE WEEK!!(Not exaggerating) with this app than I have in literal MONTHS!! Idk about you but I find myself getting into a pattern where if the scales not moving at the pace I want I tend to want to throw in the towel. When I see progress it helps to push me along. If you’re at a plateau in your fitness/health journey and need to make some adjustments I HIGHLY recommend this app!! Be consistent. Be committed to your goals and yourself. Use this app as a tool to help you along the way, and you will be successful!.Version: 1.14.21

No BrainerThis app is phenomenal. I’ve used coaches in the past, and had equal results with the app. It does pretty much everything your coach would do from my experience. Highly recommend the app, it’s given me great results and pushed me towards having some real consistency in my nutrition..Version: 1.16.4

Great but takes some getting used toI’m 3 months in and it’s delivered exactly what it claims. It did take a few weeks to understand how to plan my meals and there isn’t much in the way of instructions or help to understand how to use the App but in a way that’s what makes it work. You have to pay attention and dedicate time and effort to understand the App and that makes you follow the diet plan all the more closely..Version: 1.21.16

Great app!Loving the app....it’s simple to use and the option to change the training or sleep time makes keeping to my calories per meal accurate and user friendly. I love the reminders to eat!!! Definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to really nail their nutrition and either cut fat or build muscle..Version: 1.14.12

AmazingThis app is by far the best tool for losing and maintaining weight..Version: 1.18.1

UpdatesUpdates to the interface have made it easier to track food and move your macros to different meals if needed..Version: 1.19.14

Top Tier!!Best app for tracking. Takes the overthinking out dieting! You can cut, mass, or maintain, and your previous diets are accounted for when you transition from one to the other!! They have podcasts, almost weekly, and they’re incredibly insightful! The best thing I’ve ever invested in for tracking food— for real game changer!.Version: 1.21.11

Love it!Having started out using the paper RP templates last year, I decided to give the app a try. I’m glad I did. For me personally I find it easier and more tailored to use as I can change and update as I go along and like the fact that it does all the maths in terms of weighing and measuring. Thanks RP..Version: 1.6.10

AmazingI’ve never seen anything like this. The way it supports you to build a meal plan, step by step is phenomenally, uncommonly usable. It handles scheduling. It makes it easy to check in and it adapts as you go. This is next level - unlike any other diet app I’ve seen.Version: 1.21.5

Delivery of results is on pointI absolutely love this app! I got it to gain muscle weight. I’m what people call a hard gainer, or at least I thought I was. I was 124 lbs going in. 3 weeks later I’m 127lbs. A pound per week is a very good result! Given that I work out, and not just eat, I don’t feel like I gained much fat at all, I feel as lean as I did before. The app is very intuitive, plus it gives you recommendations as to what is better to consume. It gives you exact time when you need to eat based on your schedule and how many times a day you want to have a meal. You can change your schedule for any given day or for duration of the diet at any time. And you can also adjust your calorie intake every week, based on your personal results, since everyone is different. Basically it takes your needs and your success rate into consideration and plans accordingly. Like a real coach would. I highly recommend it to those who want to gain weight, but I’m sure it works just as well for those loosing. You’ll have to put in some work as well, but this app keeps you on your toes and disciplines you. You start creating new better habits in terms of what, when and how much you eat. If you think you can dedicate yourself to the new routine, go for it. A couple of my friends got it with me and so far they love it to and they show results..Version: 1.21.11

It works because it uses scienceIt’s the only diet program that’s helped me effectively gain muscle mass. As someone who’s always struggled to put on weight, it’s been difficult to find a program anywhere that caters for weight gain rather than loss. This program is structured and based on the scientific approach rather than some fad. Wish I’d found RP before, because it really does work!.Version: 1.13.4

ReviewSo far I’m loving this app! It took me a little bit to get used to it but now being able to use it to my advantage helps me immensely. It gives you list of all the different recommended macros but also lets you scan packaged food. Highly recommend.Version: 1.19.7

Easiest way to dietThis has got to be my easiest time dieting since I’ve started my fitness journey. I’ve only tried it on a cut so far. Looking forward to my loading cycle..Version: 1.21.11

Best Training & Nutrition App Out ThereI’ve used the RP manual templates for a while, with incredible success. I was really excited when the app was announced. I stayed with the templates for a couple months while the initial bugs & updates were handled and switched over a couple weeks ago. It’s a game changer. The science has advanced beyond what the manual templates can offer and it’s way more precise because you track your progress in the app, and there is no guesswork. This is macro tracking, without the math & becoming utterly obsessed over macros. My favourite part is at the end of the week, the app checks you progress and then asks how you’re feeling before locking in the next week’s macro breakdown. I’ve noticed that I’m more motivated, and have stayed more compliant using this app than anything else I’ve tried. And the results are not just aesthetic, I’ve gotten stronger and set multiple new personal records in the gym. Thank you RP! #ScienceIsStronger.Version: 1.6.10

Amazing!!!!I have been using the RP diet templates for about a year now, but this app is a complete game changer! It measures out everything you need to put together the meal you need (want) by also meeting all recommended nutrients needed for your body goals. Such an easy process to follow and makes it so much more enjoyable! Thanks RP 😎.Version: 1.6.10

AmazingSo simple at tracking and keeping you on track! As soon as the scanner works in AUS then it’s a perfect 5 star app! If you have any questions, you message them on insta and you have a reply ASAP! Whatever you’re searching for weight loss or muscle gain this is the best app out there..Version: 1.9.9

Love RPLove love love RP! It took me about a week to settle into the app and get into a rhythm, and then I fell in love with it 100% I’m now a couple of weeks in and I am already seeing results. I already ate clean, but this has taken my healthy eating to the next level and it’s so simple to use! Taking all the effort out of counting macros. The customer service is next level! Any time I have a question I have messaged them on Instagram and they have replied immediately! The podcast is also very informative. Highly recommend RP Diet App. It has simplified my diet and improved my physique at the same time. Thanks RP.Version: 1.14.21

I love this app!RP has given me a fool proof way to track my macros and watch my intake. I have tried other macro apps and this one is by far the best!.Version: 1.21.4

A sports nutritionist in your pocket!I’ve been in sports science for 20 years and train as a power lifter. I don’t compete so didn’t need a face-to-face coach but cared enough to keep track of my diet. I settled on RP when they became the offical nutritionists for the USA Powerlifting team. Trust the science !.Version: 1.21.11

Enjoying the app so farThe app is really simple and easy to use, which is great for someone who is just starting to look at macros. You can toggle between raw and cooked food, which I love!! You can choose multiple foods for each macro and the app adjusts the amount equally. You can also change the amount manually to suit you. There are lots of other great features. I think the slider for the food amounts needs adjusting. I would be better if you could just input the number. I have spent far too long trying to get the number I want for each item. When you save a food combination, it doesn’t quite get the amounts right and you do need to go in and edit them. With some tweaks it could be a really useful app..Version: 1.5.1

Best diet app out thereI’ve been doing a fat loss cycle using the app now for 5 weeks and I honestly have no words to describe how fantastic it is! Easy to use and helps me stay on track! I don’t feel hungry between meals and my training has improved 10 fold! I’ve seen come comments about difficulties using it in the UK but I honestly found it fine unless you’re buying pre-made food (which I rarely do)! Would definitely give it a go!.Version: 1.13.4

Diet coaching simplicity at its best! All the ingredients needed to hit your body composition goals! - flexibility (re: foods) - accountability - simplicity I’m trying to eat mostly plant-based / vegan, and with this app you can eat effectively anything you choose if it fits your allotted calories + macros for the meal. This is lots simpler than other plans or apps I’ve tried, and adjusts as you go based on your feedback given in a weekly review. Highly recommend!!! To developers: please extend food database to include more NZ / AUS listed brands. The barcode scanner isn’t very helpful here yet, but I’m sure you’ll fix this soon!.Version: 1.11.7

Made me a believerI’m not into CrossFit, but I have a home gym and do beach body workouts as well as free training. This app had me skeptical at first, my wife showed it to me a initially and I thought it was silly, boy was I wrong. I gave it a shot for a week to see if these MASSIVE meals it was giving me would actually help me lose the lbs. Truth be told, didn’t lose weight until day 3. Then something happened, perhaps metabolically? I started to shed weight daily... I haven’t reached a plateau where progression has slowed yet. The app monitors your weight loss, adjusts macros, and keeps you on track. I’m down 10 lbs after 3 weeks and loving it. I have it set to 0 workouts despite working out 4-5 times a week, and daily walks, probably should be using the workout function but I like the freedom of working out whenever I want instead of scheduling it, that’s just me though. I am pretty sure if I can keep my self control, which is improving, I can be at my goal weight in less that 3 months. Then it is time to slap on some muscle and turn into a monster meat hog! Just kidding, I want a lean frame and to just be healthy for my kids. Calories are a thing of the past, watch those macros and enjoy your food! Easy as scanning your favorite stuff and making a meal that suits you..Version: 1.13.4

IT supportI have been experiencing repeated problems attempting to renew my subscription. I purchased the Black Friday sale subscription via the app. However, this price was overwritten by the App Store’s algorithms once my subscription term was set to roll over. Consequently, I contacted RP support, who eventually determined there was an error and promised the BF2021 sales price. This price was offered via an admin-only website, which, not being an admin, I cannot access. I contacted support, who stated I needed to log in to the admin site to access the promotional pricing. They overlooked the fact I'm not an admin. My subscription has expired, and I cannot renew at the price I had signed up for back in November 2021. This is not a critical issue but an ongoing one nonetheless. Update: RP fixed the issue I experienced. They were quick to respond to messages, even if it took a while to find a solution..Version: 1.19.14

Great appExcellent. Takes the stress out of counting macros and makes cutting/bulking a breeze. Looking forward to future updates improving an already very helpful app..Version: 1.0.5

This just works ! Forget my fitness palThe app works and takes all the thinking out of tracking your macros. Weight loss is effortless whilst keeping a good amount of muscle mass. The only downside stopping me giving it 5 starts is when they add new foods and the only way to see and use those is to quit your current cut which you may have been on for a week or 10 weeks ?!? Cmon rp sort this stupid part out as more choices of food you have already worked out makes it easier to not get bored and keep on track..Version: 1.7.7

Solid. While initially I found this app rather unintuitive once I got used to it I’ve found it irreplaceable. The algorithm is slow and steady and following the advice I’ve had no trouble reaching my goals..Version: 1.21.5

Starting RPI started RP 3 weeks ago, it was confusing and nerve racking the fisrt few weeks but now I love the app. Once you get the hang of things it is really easy to move forward..Version: 1.19.17

The best food plan I’ve ever done! This app is so good! I am exceeding my training goals, lifting heavier, running faster, performing better all while eating enough food and losing weight after my 3rd baby. My energy levels and moods have improved so much since following this food plan..Version: 1.21.1

BrilliantI was always of the opinion “I can just Google what I need to intake” but thinking it & doing it are 2 very different things!! This removes so much of the legwork & immediately highlights how far off each day I was with my unstructured approach. Indispensable app now..Version: 1.11.9

Best. App. Ever.I have been doing RP templates for a few years now but this App is next level amazing. I get to choose what I want to eat and they just tell me how much of each I get to have. Tracking so well for my end result and will own my maintainance once I’m there. Thanks guys..Version: 1.7.9

Best app to reach goals!I never EVER leave reviews, but I had such a great experience with this platform I had to. I owed it to RP. I had surgery 4 years ago and while sitting waiting on my foot to heal had 100 too many beers and found myself 20lbs heavier. I did the on and off diet for years and although I was working out my food was crap and I could never get back to my 180 I used to be. Something this New Years clicked finally. I started the RP diet app and never looked back. I lost 22 lbs in 2 months. Started at 200 and was down to 178 before I started maintenance again. I look and feel the best I’ve ever felt and I’m 33 years old. This app made it so easy to track and weight my macros. The way I used it was telling it I was not working out (even though I was) because at the time I did not want to schedule My workouts. As my meals became more disciplined so did my workouts. By the end of this I could have scheduled it all because when you do the little things right everything falls in place. (start by making your bed!). Tell the app what you want to eat and it tells you how much to weigh out. This is FOOL PROOF! It also has a very good barcode scanner similar to MFP. Anyone reading this I am telling you this is the best diet app out there. By far! Have discipline stick to it and get to your goal! Thank you Nick, Lori, Dr. Mike and the RP team!.Version: 1.15.3

Highly recommend. As a fitness professional I enjoy trying different programs/apps. This app teaches you how to eat (balanced meals) and how to be proactive (planning) vs reactive (tracking). Also love the nutritive.Version: 1.16.4

CamWas the exact thing I needed after years of knowledge being gained but not knowing how much to eat dependant on activity level and goals.Version: 1.16.3

You will find success if you do the workDespite what you might be led to believe, there are no quick fixes and shortcuts to losing weight or undergoing a transformation. It requires a sound nutrition plan and a will to put in the effort. The folks at Renaissance Periodization (RP) have done the nutrition planning for you. They’ve developed plans based on findings from scientific research to help you reach your goals. They’ve provided that guidance previously in the form of spreadsheets, but this app is the next step forward. The app helps guide you along the way, reminding you when to eat, and adjusts your meals (protein, fat, and carbs) based on your weight. All you need to do is follow along and do the work. As with any app, there are some issues. The app will let you choose foods and it will provide weights that match your needed macros. Right now, you can only choose one food per macro (i.e. eggs or turkey sausage for a breakfast protein but not both). I believe RP is working on fixing that right now. There is less info available on their diet with the app than came with their spreadsheets. They have a Facebook group that provides a lot of guidance and tips, and their new RP Diet 2.0 ebook provides a lot of the why behind the program. I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve struggled for years to find an ideal way to control weight gain and feel good about what I eat. That search has ended with RP. Now I just need to go do the work..Version: 1.1.4

Actually achieve your New Year’s ResolutionsI’ve been using RP products since around 2015. I started with the original Renaissance Periodization book where I used the principles to develop my own diet. I was somewhat successful, but found I needed some more guidance and accountability. I was fortunate enough to afford 1:1 coaching for several years where I had several successful cuts and bulks. After learning a ton and seeing great results I decided late 2021 that it was time to start venturing back off on my own. However, I still needed the accountability. So I decided to give the app a try I honestly wasn’t sure I’d like it since I got use to a more pen/paper approach and doing math to meet my macros. I ran a maintenance diet through the holidays and have loved it. The barcode scanner and restaurant options allowed me a ton of flexibility while navigating the the holidays. The check ins offered a good mix of accountability of having to hit my macros, but also the autonomy to go against the AI recommendations if I felt it was appropriate. With the help of the app I was able to successfully maintain my weight through the holidays while still enjoying good food/drinks with friends and family. Now that the holidays are ended I am trying my first cut to be part of the RP Diet Challenge for 2022. While I may not win the contest, I know my diet will be a success if I’m just honest with the app and do what it tells me..Version: 1.17.11

High Quality & Low PriceIs it too good to be true? Yes Does it function well? Yes Would I recommend it? Yes This app offers you what an Accredited Dietitian would with the customised and easily interchangeable Macros at your fingertips. The only effort you need is during the initial setup and once thats done all you have to do is check in and follow what RP Diet app recommends! It’s too good to be true but there is no witchcraft involved 🤝.Version: 1.15.3

Great Diet Coach in your PocketLove this app for getting your intake back in check and on track - I would have definitely given it 5 stars, however being an Australian, there are some foods not on here that I eat on a regular. That can make tracking difficult at times. Highly recommend to all of my clients that look for a quality tool to recompose themselves..Version: 1.13.4

Good but frustrating at timesAs a female knowing full well hormones affect fluctuating weight, is a bit frustrating when a sudden spike of my weight results in a slashing of macros despite an overall downward trend. Could do with an option where able to input if eaten any extras i.e: due to my work I have had to grab an emergency protein bar say that fits as close as poss to meal choice but would like to inform the app. End of the day, be able to “check in” workouts or if failed to do planned work out. Again, then app knows if consumed too many cals that day. Just feels like am not able to be honest with it 100%. Been using app 3 weeks & feel good with it but yet to see any real changes. Sticking for now..Version: 1.4.1

Great for what it does, but not for meI have tried food journaling in the past and it was super effective in helping me lose about 15 lbs. but as soon as I stopped tracking and life got harried, I put on 20 lbs!! I am the heaviest I’ve ever been and thoroughly discouraged. I downloaded RP in the hopes of trying a new tactic. It was a completely different approach than food tracking. I found I was eating a lot of food, and having the “coach” in my pocket was great, but I had difficulty meeting my protein macros. As a former vegetarian, I found it was a lot of meat/protein. I couldn’t keep up. I was either over or under my macros for most meals. I think if I worked out in a gym or was prepping for a comp, this would be an excellent app. But for me, working full time, parenting two kids, going to grad school and doing martial arts twice a week, it just didn’t meet my needs. I wouldn’t discourage others from trying it, it just didn’t work for my situation right now. Thanks for creating it, appreciate it..Version: 1.11.2

Great app but optimised for the USHaving come from Carbon diet coach I really like the RP app however even the biggest brand and common items won’t scan. It’s quite a large part of the functionality we’re missing in the UK and Carbon diet coach was better, although still inferior to MFP. Also, £20/month is steep given it doesn’t have full functionality..Version: 1.21.16

RevolutionaryChanged how I handled my diet entirely in terms of the adaptive goal adjustments it makes depending on how your tracking.Version: 1.19.14

Love itMakes everything so easy!.Version: 1.11.7

I recommend this appIf you want an app that ticks the box for body composition this is it! I’ve used it since it’s inception and it’s easy to follow, like having a PT in your pocket when it comes to nutrition. Only complaint is it doesn’t have as many bar codes from foods as my fitness pal, especially for countries not America. Hopefully that will change in time ..Version: 1.13.1

It works, sustainablyThe first couple weeks of the app are weird as it tries to accurately adjust your calories for weight goals. It’s the best app out there at this time for full macro autopilot..Version: 1.17.13

Simple and no nonsenseReally like the app, however the ability to plan the diet over a 2 week training rotation rather than 1 would be great and make it even easier to track. As it stands, the single week plan means that Lower cal days etc, fall on the wrong days in week 2, as I do a Consistent 2 on, 1 off plan, regardless of the day / week. Great app nonetheless though.Version: 1.6.9

GreatThe app is great for keeping you on track with a diet, regular reminders(all optional) on times to eat, how often to eat, etc very flexible, what I like most about it is it helps you build meals around your macros. It tells you your macros and you pick from proteins, fats, and carbs. Super super useful if you’re like me and don’t have a clue what fats or carbs you should be adding. Protein is easy sure, but how do I know what healthy fats I should add for breakfast etc. I expected more of a calorie tracking based app and was very pleasantly surprised to find that I’m actually LEARNING about food. Learning how to build meals and getting a comprehensive awareness of what certain foods are and how I can incorporate them. It auto fills portions for you once you’ve selected a protein/fat/carb on macros, and is fun to play around with the sliders as you add more foods in each category. Highly recommend, just don’t expect to be scanning barcodes of everything you just decided to buy/eat. If you’re over for a macro, it’ll give you the option to pull macros from other meal. All and all, highly useful tool..Version: 1.21.16

Great customer serviceThe app is simple to use, extremely user friendly. They did an update and I experienced crashes when editing my schedule. I reached for support and got an answer within 15min on a Sunday. The problem was solved in the same evening with a new update. Great customer service. Love the app..Version: 1.19.10

It worksIt’s a smart app - it tells you what you need to do and if you do it, weight loss. It felt relatively easy to follow. 111kg to 104kg in 7 weeks Pairs well with the RP Diet podcast.Version: 1.18.1

Best way to stay on trackI’ve always struggled dieting. Going into a gym and putting yourself through a gruelling workout has always been easy. But making sure I’m eating well and concentrating on curling my body properly has always been a weakness. The guys over at RPdiet have made an intuitive app that really helps me concentrate on what I need. More than losing fat I find that I’m more awake, feel better and my performance at the gym has improved. I can’t recommend this app enough. Well worth the money..Version: 1.11.7

Like a lot, can’t wait for added featuresI find this app so easy to follow. Like most others that have left a review, I too would love to see the ability to add my own foods, or at least a category labeled “other” where you fill in your macro numbers. I’m making due with the current variety and sometimes have to leave numbers out because I might add something not in the app. So, I’m adhering, but not able to properly track adherence. Also, allowing to go over the amounts would be nice, or having the ability to add notes on specific days so that if you are over your numbers, you can see why. For example, today I had to make a smoothie for breakfast as I only had about 5 minutes to get out of the house. I was 7 grams over my carbs, and 8 under my protein, but couldn’t add my meal because I didn’t meet my target macros 😕 Hopefully in time there will be more features. I still think it seems easier than the templates probably are!.Version: 1.6.10

Game changer!!This app is awesome! It’s very user friendly. And as someone who has used MyFitnessPal and WW app, this has by far been the easiest for me to stick with. I’m never hungry and I’m eating way more food than ever... and I’m down 4.5lbs in 10 days! Which for me is a big deal, because I don’t have much to lose, just wanted to lean up a bit. I’m also feeling very energized in the gym, able to move through CrossFit workouts a little easier. I’ve never timed my eating, just ate when I felt hungry, but being on this plan has really helped me see the importance of it. I went with 4 stars because it would be nice to add custom foods, but having a list with so many options has really helped me think less about what to make and eat. It forces me to think outside my comfort zone and eat foods I don’t immediately think of. I’ve counted macros before, but I would tend to have a tiny breakfast and use all my carbs at dinner 😂 Having the app space out my macros for me and reminding me when to eat has been a game changer!! All around, great app! Highly recommend!.Version: 1.6.10

Great app that deliversThis is exactly what I have been looking for. I have been counting macros for years but developed the bad habit of eating too much garbage within the macros. I reached a plateau and I couldn’t coach myself out of it. This app pushes me to make better choices in foods because the preset foods are whole foods. This has helped keep me full when in a deficit. It also makes adjustments for days when I have heavy workouts and so far I haven’t found myself dragging as much as before and I am seeing results that I couldn’t bring about coaching myself. It isn’t perfect and there are a two things that I would adjust if given a chance- -Everything is in grams. So much math and time spent doing conversions. I know what 3 ounces of chicken or 1 1/2 ounces of bread look like but then I have to convert it to grams. Even when I create a food in ounces, it converts it to grams it converts it into grams. -All of the proteins are by raw weight. Weigh egg whites? No thanks. I cook food for a family and it would be helpful if there was an option to weigh proteins after cooking. I can see the benefits in accuracy by weighing things raw but it’s more work than I want to do..Version: 1.19.19

Finally a diet solution that works!Having struggled to lose weight and being lost myself in various diets over the course of the last ten years in RP Diet I have finally found a solution that works. It removes the stress from the process of weight loss or gain easily ensuring you are not over or under eating. I lost 7KG in my first cut of 9 weeks while maintaining my training regime. I can’t recommend strongly enough and it backed up by excellent customer service with almost instant feedback on queries via their Instagram page. 5 Stars!.Version: 1.13.4

AmazingSuper easy to use, great feedback, and progress as anticipated!.Version: 1.21.11

You get much more than you pay for!At the price point, I don’t think you could ask for much more from this app. It is exceptionally simple to use, sets clear parameters for meal frequency and macros, sends reminders to the user to eat and allows you to see your progress in terms of both weight loss and consistency to meals. I stumbled across the app after watching videos of Dr Mike Isratel and other affiliated athletes and am very glad that I did. I’m seeing results; both in appearance and lifestyle choices..Version: 1.13.3

Keeps it simpleI’ve used the templates before and am loving the simplicity of the app. It’s super easy to use and I can adjust my meals easily if my day changes. I love being able to copy meals across days, and keeping accountable to checking in my meals. Give the 2 week free trial a go, you’ll be hooked like I was 😊.Version: 1.6.9

Work with itWas rather confusing at first. Just spend some time playing with the settings and foods. A lot of my mates are put off by this app ( used to MyFitnessPal) as they are unable to scan 99% of their foods. This maybe down to a US based app as we are in the uk. Only takes a min for a Manual input of foods though then they are set! Managed my 5kg goal in just 5 weeks at only about 80% adherence. Biggest change was my shape! I shall be doing another cycle Monday..Version: 1.12.0

Consistently eating enough protein for the first time everA friend in my strength gym recommended this app. His target is to gain muscle and mine is to lose fat and both of us are well-supported by this app. What I like about the app is that the input and planning is so easy and adaptive that I am consistently eating enough protein without feeling like I am having to choke down more meat in each meal. What was surprising at first was how little fat I could eat (and stay on track with my macros). I found a couple of the RP cookbooks helpful to teach me new methods. In 2.5 weeks I have lost 5 lbs without feeling hungry. Yes, this kind of food planning takes time (a lot more when you are first learning) and yes this app felt pretty bossy at first (like stepping on a moving train). However, I am well fueled for my demanding training schedule, losing weight and feel great. This app is a powerful tool to get your diet right..Version: 1.21.2

First time successThis is my first time dieting and maintaining. Before this app I’d gain all the weight back after dieting but thanks to RP Diet Coach and Dr Mike’s videos I’ve been able to change my eating and exercising habits for good! I’ve lost 7kg so far. Now in my second fat loss phase..Version: 1.21.5

TerrificDr Mike has done a fantastic thing for the public..Version: 1.19.15

Makes Macros EasyThis is by far the best macro app that I’ve come across. Plus they have a terrific community, podcast, and support team to aid in achieving your goals. Update Request: After reading many books about achieving goals, they all recommend ditching the phone. I’ve taken this to heart, and try very hard to stay off my phone especially when I’m around my kids. One way I’ve found success in this is to have an Apple Watch. I can still be connected by receiving important text messages, but I won’t get caught scrolling or staring at a screen. Here is the request, when the meal prompts come up, did you eat your 12:00 meal? It would be so great if the watch allowed me to select the option - at macros, over macros, etc. It would make keeping my meals up to date so much easier since I’m really trying not to have my phone nearby. Maybe I’m the lone weirdo in this, but I think it would be a terrific update. Thanks for your commitment to helping others reach their fitness goals!!!.Version: 1.17.9

Great app, if you’re willing to learn and trust.Trust the process are the most important words you can read of starting your journey. 6 months in, along with training, and my BF is down 5 points..Version: 1.20.2

Awesome app so easy to useI have done the RP templates which are also great but the app takes it to the next level A little programming required if you live outside the US but once it’s done it’s so so easy to stick to your plan Also accounts for crossfit workouts which most other types of diet plans do not.Version: 1.21.5

Effective, but could be improved for non-US usersI’m approaching 50 and only once dieted before - in my 20’s using Slimfast (I was starving, it was awful). Using RP Diet I’ve lost my goal of 4.5kg over 60 days in relative comfort so I have nothing but praise about the effectiveness of the app. I have some criticisms related to the experience of a user outside the USA - when planning meals the foods are limited and US biased; also the option to choose from the ‘expanded’ or ‘restaurant’ categories relate to the US only and so are no use to those elsewhere. This hasn’t been an issue for me as I have prepared all meals from scratch but it might be for others. Despite my criticism I value the app and would wholeheartedly recommend for those preparing meals from scratch..Version: 1.16.3

Diet Coach on HandAMAZING app for setting nutrition goals, planning meals, checking in with meal times, analysing body weight proportionate to my goals... this app has it all. My relationship with food AND my athletic performance have both improved with use of this app. The monthly subscription is ridiculously affordable and a small price to pay for achieving your goals..Version: 1.10.2

Radical changesSecond time using the app and both times I lost a ton of weight. I much prefer using now I am full time working from home as it does require more planning than other apps I have used. However it doesn’t just track- it advises. I’m lean and remain strong, it’s gotten me out of my lockdown weight gain..Version: 1.13.4

Love it!Love the app. Makes things easy. However the new update makes is SOOOOOOO complicated to change your schedule. Not as intuitive 😿.Version: 1.14.3

Was going well but kept cutting macrosWas going well but kept cutting macros. I was continually losing weight and never stalled but the app kept wanted to cut my macros even though I was seeing good progression with the macros I was eating. I would have liked to have seen some sort of stalling process or slowing down at least before cutting macros more and more..Version: 1.21.1

The best pocket nutrition coach out thereI had a ridiculous amount of positive change with this app, given the way it’s structured and UX is designed. Overall, a fantastically easy to use system and interface, great guidance with food, and based off current and relevant nutrition principles. The best part about it is being able to change your daily nutrition plan on the fly and have it not affect previous meals. Real time change is something that is extremely good and this app has it sorted..Version: 1.17.13

Amazing.Easy and intuitive. So simple to use just pick your food and do as your told..Version: 1.19.17

Like the appI have been playing around with the app. I love that I can have my RP life with me at a quick glance through an app. It’s so convenient, quick and easy. I love that the macros adjust according to what kind day you plan: NTD, 1 workout, 2 workout, etc. I love that it will auto adjust according to your weight you put in and gives you an adherence rating! Way to keep people on track. No more trying to remember did I eat all my macros???? Simple click the button that you did and move on. Here are my 3 suggestions for improvement: 1. Must be able to choose at least 2 different food types to get to a specific macro goal. I always use fruit and a starchy carb to get to my total for a meal 2. Take into account for non template food and apply macros . Example: cheese or the fat in a whole egg-the whites count for protein but the yolk goes to fat. 3. Must be able to manipulate the macros by meal. Example- on a NTD - I have always been able to switch around my carbs and fats. We need to be able to adjust to real life while living within the total of each macro category. If you can’t do this, the app loses its appeal. You don’t want to be guessing and doing the I can’t remember game of what you ate when and what it adds up to for you to get to RP macros for day. I can do that with the regular old fashion templates and scribble notes on them. Just a few suggestions but I love the path you guys are on!.Version: 1.1.5

Waiting for it to be vegan friendly...I have the RP vegan templates which I love and have had great success with. I downloaded a free trial of the app to see what it’s all about, even though they have said it’s not suitable for vegans yet. I really liked using the app. It makes things very straightforward and I can see how it would be really good to keep you on track. I like how you can do weigh ins and it will continually adjust your cals for you. I think the main buggy thing for me was that if you go over on a certain macro it didn’t tell you how much by, just that you had met that macro amount. I think this would make it easy to go over your cals quite a bit if you aren’t able to see the amounts exactly? Oh, and as others had said, it is very fiddly to get the right numbers with the toggle. Other than that, I can’t wait for the app to be suitable for vegans so I can start my mass & cutting cycles using it!.Version: 1.6.8

Conveniently keeping me on track! This app is fantastic. I love the push notifications for meals and the ability to create them and track macros. Beyond the templates, I also live that I can account for 4, 5, or 6 meals per day. This makes prep jus so much easier on days when 6 meals is challenging. However, what I would like to see is something like the trifecta app that allows you to scan foods and gather their macro data from that. It would allow for more accurate dieting. I would also like the option to add foods to the meals in case of slip ups. Currently, if you mess up and have like a scoop of ice cream or something like that or just accidentally go over your macros, you can’t account for that. The app just simply doesn’t allow you to enter foods that surpass you macros. Instead, it should cast a warning like, “you are exceeding your macros for this meal, are you sure you want to proceed?” And then count that as a missed meal over macros. Update: the developer got back to me and is already working on that feature!! Awesome!!.Version: 1.7.10

Solid AppThis app has helped me get my energy back by keeping me accountable for planning and actually making the time to eat. It works so much better for me to plan out my macros every day rather than simply tracking after each meal..Version: 1.12.13

Great app, needs tweakingI love this app & have previously used RP’s templates. A couple of points they could tweak: I would love to be able to manually add my own products (I live in Australia & not many of my products scan). I would love to be able to change some of my existing diet settings without having to start a new diet (eg meal frequency, sleep wake times & training). Otherwise a sweet app!.Version: 1.9.11

More foods pleaseThe app is great in every way. I’m a data scientist and I like that it adapts as I give it my weight feedback. Perhaps there’s a way to provide fitness inputs like periodic blood tests or a basic exercise standard (mini-Murph time etc)...Even if exercise isn’t completely linked, it’d be fun to have all in one place (you might add a place to indicate energy level at the end of the day for those that like) My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a ton of foods to enter (no bacon, OJ) and less education (doesn’t salt matter? Fiber? Does Kraft count as cheese (is it similar to real cheese or must I go to the deli counter to be ON the diet) What about coffee) in fact there is no where to input any kind of drink (does everyone only drink water all the time? Tea?). Ideally I should be able to create an entree with ingredients and add that while bundle for simplicity (like Quiche) seems like making a bundle labeled a Quiche would be technically simple. And creating a subset of foods highlighted as not particularly recommended like V8 or a croissant (but available) would be better than just blanking the meal. Then hitting the meal wouldn’t necessarily have to be binary but continuous (you’d 90% hit your lunch because your Philly Cheesesteak had Cheeze Whiz, rather than Provilone).Version: 1.6.10

Do itDo yourself the favour and download the app plan a 12month whatever your weight/performance goal is and stick the fek to it. P.S it gives you a shopping list #sold.Version: 1.4.13

Crazy Good ResultsIf you needed evidence that the world will be taken over by an AI system like Skynet, this app would be perfect. I’ve been following RP for around 6 years now, starting with 1 on 1 coaching. I just finished a 3 month fat loss phase with the Diet Coach app and it was the easiest cut ever, no offense to my coach Alex. I mean, of course if Alex would tell me how many grams of something I needed to eat to hit my macros, then that would be even easier than the app but he doesn’t have time for that. Can you imagine me texting him, “Hey, so remember how I said I was going to eat some bread at 2 PM after my workout? Well, now I’m working out later and going to eat rice instead afterward. How many grams of rice do I need? Oh and how much fat is there in salmon? I’m eating that instead of lean beef.” He’d block me after a week. Anyway, this is such a useful app. I’m starting a muscle gain phase so hopefully it’ll be just as easy at the fat loss. RP has some of the best customer service around so if you have any questions/trouble, don’t hesitate to reach out to them..Version: 1.16.4

Pleasantly surprisedJust starting out on the app but having this accountability and way to track makes it do much easier to know what I need to eat for my Macros..Version: 1.19.18

Scientific Research > InfluencersJared Feather is how I found Dr. Mike. Dr. Mike is how I found Nick Shaw. Jared + Mike + Nick = Renaissance Periodization. Great work gentlemen. The finest app there is to date. It’s a work of art to see something like this actually created. You use to dream about accuracy and precision like this. Top notch ✅.Version: 1.21.3

It’s a ‘Coach’ not a TrackerAfter multiple runs of diligently logging calories, having an app focus on meal times and macros was a nice shake up. It’s still early days, but I’m already seeing more progress here than something like Fitness Pal due to the different focus..Version: 1.19.8

Great app...This is the first time that I diet with lots of carbs and still loosing weight. I live the way the app split the macros between meals, so I don’t need to worry about it. Whatever, I’m based in UK and it would be very good if the app already had recorded the foods in UK as the FatSecret app or My Fitness Pall. I’m Brazilian, and when I’m in Brazil, the FatSecret app has almost all the foods from there, so I just need change the country and carry on recording my diet. Hope the RP be able to add food from other countries soon. Also do option for those that like to fasting (like me). But this is not a big problem, I’m in love for the app, very happy for eating well and still loosing weight. Thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏.Version: 1.13.3

Good once mastered, easy to manageTook a few days to master the input process but being able to manipulate amounts to fit and see the macros change instantly was good. Only American foods in the app really. Not an issue for basic eating but packets don’t scan from Europe. This would improve it and get 5stars..Version: 1.13.4

RP works, try it outI love the premise of RP, no complaints there. Following the plan gets results. And this app makes it easy to follow properly. My problem is with the app, and how it doesn’t always sync correctly between my two devices (iPhone during work, and iPad at home). Sometimes it does, but half the time you have to re-enter any changes made, which is a little frustrating. If that could be fixed, it would be perfect..Version: 1.15.11

The accountability that every athlete needsWhile there are a lot of great coaches and diets out there, they can’t remind you to put the fork in your mouth every meal. The RP diet coach app does. I was genuinely shocked at how effectively the notifications helped me stay on track. I recommend this to all my clients to help with their habit building and routine forming..Version: 1.18.6

Like having a coach in your own pocket! So happy with the app and how well it ties in with the RP community. Can’t wait to see the updates that are rolled out..Version: 1.4.3

Long time RP clientThe app is pretty cool from a beginner’s perspective, but can become quite annoying with meal reminders and the set up of meal timing. Would be nice to see a “window” of time to get a meal in, because as I’ve seen many beginners using it, they are becoming frustrated at the fact they can’t get their meals when the app says. Or they would like to not eat before working out. (Yes it’s a good idea to do so, but they’re changing enough already, let’s try adding that in later.) In that case they can trick the app into having meals later by setting their wake up time later. After becoming familiar with the RP templates and being very familiar with counting macros, it’s not something I would pay for, however I love that it offers a “cooked” measurement option. I prefer to actually learn how and why I’m doing something rather than being told, “eat x at y time”. I understand lots of people do want that, but if you would rather learn the WHY, get the templates and read all materials!.Version: 1.2.0

Very limited for vegetarian types but great serviceUpdated review- My initial review noted limitations of the app for plant-centric eaters, which are significant. RP has vegan diet templates but the app function essentially only allows vegans to count tofu, tempeh, and powder as protein sources (no legumes unless they have a barcode, otherwise they are carbs only.) I was super disappointed because I had paid for 3 months and realized quickly it wasn’t for me. I’m upgrading my review to 4 stars because When I contacted support they were super responsive and helpful. I didn’t get a refund but they offered a lot of advice and were very responsive and helpful. The app still isn’t right for me (I don’t want or need to lose weight, and I don’t have the ability or desire to plan everything in detail ahead, or to limit my carbs... I just needed to eat more than I’m eating now not burn out with my training , and simpler free tools work better for me for that goal) but respect for the helpful service team!.Version: 1.15.10

Tough & EffectiveI just finished a 12 week cut using RP Strength app. At first it took a little time to trust I what it was telling me but in the long run, if I stuck to it it worked really well. I’m now in maintenance phase and eating a ton of food, which initially scared me after having been on a cut. But I’m trusting the app. This diet is really a lifestyle, and learning to see things in phases gives you the opportunity to lose weight safely and in a healthy way. You need to listen to the podcasts and join the Facebook group to get support you’ll need as you go through it. RP is TOUGH to do, and not for everyone, especially if you have a history of disordered eating. Overall, I highly recommend it to someone who can consider where they’re at in the big picture - your RP diet isn’t over when the cut finishes - taking a long term perspective here is key..Version: 1.19.19

A great appThis is the best app I have come across for counting macros. Easy meal planning, based around daily activity and workouts. Progressive diet adjustments made automatically based on the progress you are making towards your goals. Very user friendly with lots of features to help you keep on track. A few tweaks to make then I’ll give 5-stars..Version: 1.6.10

Great appBest app for dieting and gaining weight. Definitely a step up from a already very successful program. Just wondering if there is an update on when we can add our own foods..Version: 1.7.10

Shift worker friendly!Love how this App lets you schedule sleep anytime. Very shift worker friendly!.Version: 1.21.5

Love it!I think the app is genius and I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. There are a few things I wish it could do. If you change something simple about a day like workout time or time you awakened, I wish it didn’t have to delete all the planned meals. I’m not IT savvy but it seems like an easy fix to have a choice to keep the existing meals. I love how it has the foods listed and you just choose them and it adjusts amounts to make macros work. The way it adapts weekly based on feedback is amazing. I just started this week but already see some body changes. Thank you, RP! Update-week 3 and down 3lbs. The physique changes are more than the weight seems to indicate. It works!!! I’m a physician on call and sometimes I get to workout when I thought I couldn’t or I have to stay at work when I had planned to workout. It’d be great if the app left your meals in place that’d you’d already eaten and adjust the rest of the day if you made the change to workout or not with the rest of your meals. Just give the macros missed since you were able to train or take macros since you were not able to train..Version: 1.8.10

This worksAbsolutely love this app. Combined with the RP clients Facebook group for support this is a game changer. I lost 11 lbs in 12 weeks and PR’ed consistently through my first cut. Now easily maintaining while still using the app. This works, just give yourself some time to get used to it..Version: 1.19.14

Awesome!Great app, and it’s working for me!.Version: 1.21.2

Great app, needs streamlining with UK!This app is great! I had used the RP templates before, which were good but the app is 100x better and easier to use; with food suggestions for each meal at the tap of your finger; and much more flexibility of your meal schedule with the options of training at different times of day each day and eating different number of meals on each day! One of the most useful features is the meal adherence stat and the weight graph - it makes it so easy to visualise if you are reaching your goals and if you are being honest with yourself with meal adherence (something I always struggle with)!! A few things that could be improved; - UK based restaurant and additional food selection to choose from - option to create your own recipes (that you could then split into meal quantities for weekend prepping) - option of checking your meals in as ‘not eaten’ or ‘missed’ rather than just ‘under macros’ Other than that a great app - Simple, easy to use and great results so far!! Anyone thinking of it should do it, you will not regret it, but be ready to stick to it!.Version: 1.10.2

Give it time to workOkay, so I’ve tried RP Diet three times. This being the third. The first two times I had been using Cron-O-Meter previously and liked how I could see the overall focus of the day. Also I could see how each food entry had protein, fat, or carbs. So using RP initially was frustrating—I didn’t get how it worked. What’s more is that when I tried it out it had me eating so much the first week that I thought all hope was lost and it was a waste. Well, third time’s the charm… I didn’t have as much weight to lose this time thankfully (I had lost 25 lbs using Cron-O-Meter in 2020), so I only had 10 lbs to lose and sticking to the app I lost the 10 lbs with ease and looked my fittest at my lowest weight. I’m now on a post-fat loss maintenance phase and the muscle retention is a whole different feel physically than I have felt before. I’m an RP convert at this point and will likely shift my Cron-O-Meter subscription as the maintenance nutrition has been a game changer for me..Version: 1.17.5

5 StarsBest tracking app!!.Version: 1.19.17

It’s about time! It’s about time I stuck to the diet, haha. I’ve tried using RP twice before this where I was one for a few weeks but my motivation wasn’t there. I have some friends using the app and I’ve gotta say it makes your life so much easier. No matter what goals you have you can track it all. You can input just about anything you want to eat and have it track the macros and break out how much you can and can’t eat. I’m on track to lose a stubborn 15 and we are 1 month in, so far I’m down 4 lbs. If you can get creative with the meals you make than this is a no brainer. A few tips: prepping in bulk is key because you’ll be spending a lot of time in the kitchen (who has time for that), get creative with the meals (take you favorite recipes and make them “healthy”) and listen to your body if you aren’t doing well one week tell the app and adjust as you go. It should but fluid, such as life. Good luck.Version: 1.13.4

LIFE CHANGING!I have tracked macros on and off for a few years now and previously used the RP templates for a cut. This app has made absolutely everything so much easier! It works out your macros based of your goals and tells you how much of each food to eat and when to eat it! It doesn’t get much easier than that. I also think it is great that it tells you if the cut is going to be manageable or very hard so you can adjust you goals accordingly. After u successful 12 week cut and now two weeks on maintenance I am feeling better than ever. Side note, the podcasts are also extremely informative and I feel like I now have a much healthier and realistic mindset when it comes to food, dieting and general health. RP for life 💪🏽😝.Version: 1.11.9

None better!!The title says it all. This will change your life, but you have to go with it. Get invested, get interested in understanding how to use the app. Really spend time watching Dr. Mike’s videos on whatever your goal is and it will help you options your use of this app..Version: 1.19.19

You are worth itLove the RP app! Used it 2 years ago and the changes make it even better. Like all new things, app and the process seems a bit complicated at first however within two weeks your only concern will be what to eat! I use app in conjunction with Gym Free training program..Version: 1.20.3

Produces resultsIn my past I have been a distance runner and only watched calories. And then started CrossFit and I didn’t manage my diet. Both of the periods of my life I would describe myself as “skinny fat”. I took a break from CrossFit during the COVID shutdown as did our group. When we came back, we were all a bit plumper. And then one of the members started discussing RP, and I thought, “whatever.” I had to miss a month for work and when I returned, she was a rock (she’s a mother of 3). I couldn’t believe the change in her body. So I decided to give it a go. I’m a 44 year old man and for the first time in my life I am feeling muscular after 8 weeks into my first cut. My body fat has dropped from 30ish to 22.5. I PR’d a workout last week by 49 seconds. I am a firm believer in this app but it takes discipline. I cut out all alcohol and I no longer snack during the day. The only issue I have run into with the app is I travel a lot internationally, and it flips out a bit when I cross the international date line and move up and back a day. But after a couple of trips, it is manageable. One improvement I would like to see with the app is a place to take a picture as a starting point and suggested picture points along the way like the weigh-ins. I took my first comparison photo at 8 weeks and the change was beyond noticeable. It was incredible to see them side by side..Version: 1.13.4
