No Apple Watch support.I really like the app since the last update. They stay connected now, and work great. I had major connectivity problems before update. The only issue I have now is the lack of Apple Watch isn’t supported. I had a different brand of hearing aids before and they had Apple Watch support and I loved not having to get my phone to make changes. The watch was much more convenient to use to make changes to the hearing aid program, like in a restaurant setting and when your phone wasn’t nearby. This hearing aid system would be so so much better with Apple Watch support. PLEASE make Watch support a reality!.Version: 6.6.0

MyPhonak appThis is a good app and connected to my hearing aids pretty well able to adjust the settings and volumes works and everything else only issue is it shows an firmware update and I can NOT update it at all so I emailed Phonak and they told me to get in touch with Apple and just spoken to them via live chat and they said it’s not their issue or an iPhone issue it’s the person who designed the app to be refreshed so Please can you let me update the app and able to sort it all out as it is quite frustrating as I can’t update it at all 😞 that’s why I’ve given it 4* I would email the technicial issues as I’ve taken screen shots and for you to see and resolve it I would very much appreciated it!.Version: 6.6.0

Problems with blue tooth connection for listening to music and audibleThe hearing aids were working with IPhone 11 but then I upgraded to IPhone 14 Pro Max. Blue tooth would only link to right hearing aid which resulted in the Phonak controls not working. I finally deleted phonak software and I then reinstalled the software. I followed the instructions and I was able to then connect to the hearing aids. Thinks were linked in the blue tooth settings. But I couldn’t link to listen to audible or music. When I returned to settings the blue tooth had disconnected. This kept occurring..Version: 6.2.3

Day oneFirst day wearing hearing aids , seems I have been missing a great deal of the world about me. Learning features of Phonack devices and so far I am quite pleased . Connect Hearing were really great (Stephanie was wonderful in my hearing aid journey ).Version: 6.5.0

Changed my lifeThere are no words to describe how my life has changed for the better . I am deaf in my right ear partially hearing in my left ear but with the crossover aid I can for the first time allow someone to sit on my deaf side without going into a flat panic . Even my social life has changed I gave up being among others I so often came home in tears , there was no point but now I feel like a whole person for the first time in my life as I was born deaf . They took some getting used to but I love them and even feel tearful writing this about how much my life has changed beyond recognition ❤️.Version: 6.5.1

Great productThese hearing aids are quite a bit more effective than the Resound I had. The only negative situation is the cost. My aids are covered by Worksafe BC but the Phonak are beyond the amount they will cover. So I have one Phonak and one Resound..Version: 6.5.0

Amazingly capable, always improvingMy first set of hearing aids, two years ago. At first, there were small issues. But with adjustments and a couple of software updates and they are almost perfect. The app is great, and the streaming gives me news, audiobooks, and music, with great clarity, while still keeping outside sound at a safe level. I haven’t checked since the most recent update, but the one thing that could improve is to have phone conversations carry less background noise. Fine in most cases, but not good when walking the dog on a busy street..Version: 6.5.1

A major improvementI reviewed this app 5 months ago. It had problems reconnecting when switching from another app to this one that was in the background. Now this no longer exists. Once the app is opened, it keeps track of which setting you were in (Eg automatic) without having to reload bluetooth settings when you switch back to it. This saves a lot of time..Version: 6.5.0

App Connectivity IssueI have new Audeo L hearing aids. Both will initially pair via the app but as soon as I hit continue, they disconnect and it says I do not have an internet connection. I “forgot” the devices and removed from the Bluetooth menu as well. Deleted the app and rebooted iPhone 14 Pro Max. Reinstalled the app but the scenario repeats. Tried with WiFi as well as cellular only. Hearing aids are fully charged. Phonak help desk was no help. After all his steps he said for me to contact the supplier and that is the VA. I know there was a Phonak update this morning that is installed. Issue is 100% repeatable. Waiting on VA to return my call. Please delete. The app started working with no actions taken. I suspect the issue was on the server side and once corrected, it started to work..Version: 6.7.0

Rechargeable batteries 😟What is the steadily deteriorating battery performance and outrageous $350 battery replacement every three or four years has my deepest concern. My 12 year old phonak with replaceable batteries have served me well over the years with a minimal repair. I will need multiple wireless chargers , at least three or four again the price of charges this is very high also! Buying batteries is cheaper and easier to carry a couple of batteries in my watch pocket then spending three hours waiting for the dead rechargeables to come back to life! The advancements in technology over the last dozen years is a big plus and I like the new program from my cell phone. Only time will tell if I’m making a mistake buying these..Version: 6.5.1

Poor appIt is constantly losing touch with my hearing aids. It takes forever to connect. I love being able to hear the conversation from my phone but it is off and own. It takes half hour to delete the app and then reinstall the app and jump through the hoops to re-connect it, if possible. I drive 40 minutes to reconnect it at my service providers and by the time I am home, it is not online. I am forced to rate this message to send. I give it no stars but 1 which it does not deserve..Version: 6.4.0

Phonak hearing aidsI was lost in a different world before I was given these hearing aids and missed out on virtually everything that was around me, I missed out on everyone and that was a lonely part of my life. And I can now say I’m back and once again enjoying the different sounds and even the birds chirping. Thank you you phonak..Version: 6.7.0

Automatic programI’m learning to just exclusively use my finely audiologist set program. This new Phonak L90 aids are so sophisticated. I’m not fiddling just trusting this Yes things do sound different but much better in difficult situations The old M90 aids are like L30 technology compared to these.Version: 6.6.0

Good for sound adjustment , Bluetooth sucks.I have the the Phonak Slim, the app is good at connecting to the hearing aids for making adjustments but when it comes to connecting Bluetooth to listen to my podcasts on my iPad or iPhone forget about it, worked maybe three times and now I can’t connect them to listen to podcasts, music, or videos, I have done everything that Phonak has suggested and it has been a waste of time, Phonak needs to figure this out asap, I’m in a 30 day trial period and I would like to keep these but if the connection issues aren’t resolved I’m afraid I will be trying out different hearing aids from a different manufacturer. I now have these working properly, not sure if I did something or if it was an update that rectified the problem, so I’m going to say I love these hearing aids now, they work great when listening to podcasts and answering a phone call, just wish they would be more effective with dealing with tinnitus issues, also they should make available interchangeable custom fitted domes so I can switch back and forth as the situation requires..Version: 6.5.1

Bluetooth connectivity fix?Had problems with Bluetooth. Lost connection to phone and repair fix didn’t work despite several attempts, including restarting phone. After much frustration I realised that not only was my IPhone connected to my hearing aids but also the app was on my iPad & they were connected to it via Bluetooth (they were also connected to my MacBook) when I removed copies of the app and disconnected Bluetooth from all devices it reinstalled fine..Version: 6.5.1

Not a problem now, read on…I was one of those frustrated and annoyed customers, but once I took the time to read the directions for a complete reinstallation, (which meant completely dumping the app, and taking it off of my Bluetooth, before starting over from a fully charged set of hearing aids ), following instructions, everything worked perfectly. I have a new iPhone 14 pro, and it needed that installation process to set up. Honestly, now that it is done there are no problems at all. Everything is functioning perfectly. So that’s it folks, that is what you need to do. PS love my hearing aids!.Version: 6.2.3

Battery displayCan u please tell me why my earring aids never display 100% on the app but my phone display shows fully charged. This is the second set of aids that have done this so I assume it’s the app not the aids. Otherwise I am pleased with the app. I have done what was suggested and as the aids were brand new I feel they are not to blame. In the end I deleted the app and downloaded it again. Has solved the problem for the time being. Have done this too before. Do get a very good signal to my aids for phone calls and music so really pleased with that. Update. I have to switch off my phone each morning to get the app to display the correct percentage on each aid ??.Version: 6.6.0

Superb improvement in my quality of hearing!My Phonax hearing aid was expertly fitted by pleasant and knowledgeable NHS staff. From the outset my hearing improved dramatically. I was able to hear every word spoken to me, even when there was background noise. Once again I could hear high frequency sounds including bird song and water flowing, and music sounds wonderful again. The ability to stream music and calls from my phone via Bluetooth is amazing. I'm sure I'm hearing sounds that I've never heard before!! My only regret is that I didn't have my hearing tested earlier!.Version: 6.6.0

Hearing aidsThe device took me awhile to get use to them. They don’t feel secure enough to to just behind the ear. You can loose them easily. I like being able to receive phone calls n press a button to connect n disconnect. I can be in one room of house n can still hear the tv or something. I haven’t Lear how to fix this problem yet. I don’t need headphone for the pc neither I can connect through setting, Bluetooth n hear things though my Phonak. I have not learn how to keep maintenance completely. I hear static n noise sometimes but I think it’s interference..Version: 6.6.0

Virto P312My first hearing aids I found these comfortable and greatly improved my hearing although it made sounds tinny, which I suppose I have to get used to. I don’t believe the auto profile adapts to certain conditions very well, including being in a vehicle or a restaurant/cafe. I believe a software improvement would to increase the number of bands of frequencies available in the equaliser when creating an individual profile. Also the addition of a battery level indicator. Over all pretty good, but I have not had other aids to make a comparison against..Version: 6.2.2

I must be lucky?I’m new to hearing aids. Have Lumity. I love them, but wouldn’t know anything different. There are a lot of bad reviews for this app, but it’s been nothing but great for me. There was a period where I would have to open and then force close the app to get it to connect. That issue seems to have been fixed with this last update. Or maybe it was the iPhone update to 16.4. Both seemed to happen around the same time, so I’m not sure. Either way, it connects quickly now without issue. All the adjustments are great. Nice to be able to save some of my own programs. Again, I may be lucky, but my iPhone and I love the app and the aids..Version: 6.4.0

Wrong works basicallyWhen I connected at first it identified as a different model but I deleted the app and downloaded again and it found the correct model. It works basically and I can switch between settings and adjust them as well. When you create a different setting it disappears after a while and when connected to TV the mute button doesn’t work. It would be good if it had an Iwatch app to to save you needing the phone when you want to chanegya setting..Version: 6.2.1

Phenomenal Customer SupportI called customer support bc the Phonak app was in a constant state of disconnecting which in turn resulted in my disconnect from this wonderful technology. The rep patiently waited as I downloaded the app again and then walked me thru the Bluetooth pairing process for both devices - the app and my hearing aid. Then our call was cut short. But within a minute they called me right back. Well, that was amazing. In my experience that just doesn’t happen. They were the best and literally made my day and week by taking the time to help me improve the quality of my hearing & listening experience with this Phonak product. I have Two phonak p70 up.These hearing aids are smashing the sound quality while listening to music/video is clear and crisp also phone calls come through clear and the myphonak app works really well and i enjoy the fact i can control the bass and noise reduction from my phone rather then waiting to see the audiologist. All in all a smashing app cannot recommend it enough..Version: 6.5.1

Phonak - Top Quality Hearing AidesI have had a moderately severe hearing lost in both ears since birth. They failed to note my hearing lost until I was 7 years old. It was through the a very observant second grade teacher that my severe hearing deficit was discovered. Before that discovery, I repeatedly got in trouble because what was in reality was an inability to hear was chalked up as me beings a poor learner, poor attitude, and as one who had at birth had a intelligence deficit due to having also had a partially arrested hydrocephalus as well as hemolytic disease of some the newborn at birth as well. It once it was. discovered that a hearing deficit in both ears, I was fitted with hearing aides. That made all the difference in the world. I went from C’s,D’s, and F’s to A’s and B’s. So, I have been wearing hearing aides for a very long time. I can say that of all the various types of hearing aides that I have worn over the years, I can say without reservation that Phonak is the very best hearing aides that I have ever had. I will have no other. I hear things now that I have never heard before. Hearing conversations is effortless and clear. So, I unequivocally give Phonak 5 stars ! I would give more, but 5 is the top rating. They are absolutely top rated hearing aides..Version: 6.5.1

Needs compatibility updateI am only giving 4 stars because over all the app is good but the biggest issue I struggle with is this app doesn’t keep the hearing aids connected in the background I notice often times the hearing devices disconnect from the app then reconnect when I open the app and to be fair it should allow you to keep location and Bluetooth connectivity in the background but this app lacks that plus this app isn’t 100% compatible with the iPhone 14 and iOS 16 so this app is in much need of an update and I will be happy to give your app 5 stars once everything is working like it should..Version: 6.3.0

App has very Frustrating HabitsLike other reviews I find it very annoying that the app always defaults to Automatic If my phone has any notification such as diary event, text message, etc, even when I start the car engine and the car acknowledges my phone. In the UK it’s against the law to touch your phone whilst driving, so I’m quite often driving with limited hearing. Even with the volume at max on auto setting it’s not much better than my actual hearing, other settings such as music are a lot better and I’ve generated my own setting which is even better, but it’s so frustrating because the app keeps going back to automatic. Thanks for the info on how to stop the app defaulting back to automatic. Following your info, up to now the new settings are working..Version: 6.6.0

ReviewI have been using the app for about 2 months now and have got over the teething problems. If the batteries are getting depleted everything stops working! At times I have turned my phone off and then on again which seems necessary at times. The facility of being able to alter the sensitivity is a real bonus..Version: 6.5.1

App mi longer worksFollow up: First off, I do want to give a shout out to the developers for their prompt response. After reviewing their instructions and with some experimentation I was able to resolve my issue by reversing the pairing process: 1. Unpair hearing aids from iPhone and myPhonak app. 2. Pair hearing aids with iPhone in IPhone settings-Bluetooth to establish the connection for calls and streaming. 3. Open myPhonak app and complete the app pairing process to add the Bluetooth LE connection so that the app can manage the hearing aids. I am changing my rating to 5 star for the quality of the hearing aids and the excellent service. I have been using this app with my Audeo hearing aids since April on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. After updating to my iPhone 15 Pro Max I can no longer take calls or stream through the hearing aids, if I try and pair them through the app. If I pair them directly with the iPhone they work fine, but then I cannot use the app. This needs to be fixed. Connector has changed my lifeWhen I first connected to the Connector it exceeded my expectations. At long last I can watch TV without having the words on and the sound quality is amazing. Connection to phoneVery disappointed with this app. Connecting to my phone is hit and miss. Sometimes it connects sometimes it doesn’t. Further to my previous comment,, I have successfully paired my hearing aids and find everything to be working very well, a excellent product. The problem I experienced stems from the instructions not making it clear that all 3 items on the Bluetooth list have to be paired. Choice of default programI’ve had my hearing aids for a couple of months now, and I’m getting used to wearing them. I like them lots, and I have developed a new program to suit myself and my needs. However every morning when I put them on and open the app, it defaults to the ‘Automatic’ program and I have to select the program I have developed which suits me better. I would like the option to change the default program to the one which works best for me, so that I don’t need to choose it manually every day. Otherwise, no complaints..Version: 6.2.3

This app needs improvement.I think this is a great app…when it works. The trouble is, for me that half the time it doesn’t work because it won’t connect to my hearing aids. This has been very frustrating and annoying. I have enjoyed these hearing aids, especially the fact that they are waterproof. I like to use the app to monitor my daily steps and control certain sound situations, but when I can’t do that I feel that I am missing out on much of what my hearing aids can do..Version: 6.5.1

Sonova response to issues raisedA few days ago I posted a review highly critical of the app and also of the often apparently anodyne responses of the Sonova team to the many negative reviews. Since posting the reviews I have been contacted by the team who have worked to resolve my connectivity issues. I can only report that their responses have been helpful and prompt. I still have some reservations about the app - lack of a default that holds personalised settings is one - but I think my problems and those of many others is down to lack of instructions regarding the app. For example I spent ages thinking I could only pair the right aid, before realising the L and R Bluetooth settings are done through the app. The R setting in Bluetooth is for streaming. Better training/explanation at point of purchase would be of help. My one star (would have been zero) was down to the team’s perceived responses. The 4 stars are down to my personal experience of their help..Version: 6.4.0

Very useful AppI am delighted with the hearing aids and the app is the cream on top. No trouble installing both phone connection and app connection, both happened automatically. I now have 3 personalised profiles for TV depending on how the sound is coming off the TV. When nobody else is watching, I connect via the tv Bluetooth and that works best of all..Version: 6.2.3

Way to make a comeback!So much easier to use, and the bugs are inexistent for me so far. This is a huge change. You can adjust almost any aspect you can think of. By the way, the Phonak Kids app is also really good if you have trouble understanding all the settings on this version. I am thoroughly impressed with the change in this application. I had switched to the Phonak Kids app, because I didn’t like this application, a while back. I noticed that this app now had almost Five Stars, and it used to have pretty poor reviews and I think Two and a Half Stars. It has definitely earned the now highly rated reviews they have gotten. Newest app…connection issuesLove a lot about these aids. Really appreciate the ability to quickly adjust for, say, speech and then I can fine tune speech even further so it is perfectly set for me. Take that to the audiologist and have her built it into my permanent program. However, the November app is causing significant connection issues. It stresses me because I do not know whether I will have connection when I go into a meeting. A recurring issue is that my custom programs may be there this morning, but wiped out this afternoon. That’s a huge stress as well…but immaterial if there’s no connection to the app. Please tweak these issues in the app..Version: 6.2.3

Why all the hate?I’ve been wearing hearing aids for over 20 years now, and my Phonak Paradise HAs, which I’ve had now for 6 months, are, like, from my 6th different company. They’re not perfect, but they’re the best ones I’ve owned, yet. But this isn’t a place to review the hearing aids. Instead, I want to say that the myPhonak app has worked just fine to change HA programs, and to change the volume or the ambient balance (when my HA is connected to a Bluetooth device like my iPhone, my TVConnector, or my Roger On microphone). I wish it could do more, but it works fine. It connects to be HA when I open the program (sometimes the Bluetooth connection is slow, and I have to restart the app to get it to connect, which is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5), it allows me to make some changes that I can’t make without the app, and it provides some information about the HA. It supports user-created programs, too, but I’ve never had a new for them. And, after a considerable delay, the latest version of the app is now compatible with the Paradise CROS HA, which, to me, overcame the biggest problem with the app. If you have Phonak Paradise or Lumity HAs, you should definitely download and use this app..Version: 6.4.0
