Emotion Tracker: Moodistory for Positive User Reviews

Surprisingly worth the moneyI love this app. I bought it when I had too much to drink and woke up the next day thinking ‘oh god why did I waste my money on this??’ I never buy apps. I figured I would try using it and see how it went since I had it and let me tell ya, it’s my new favourite. It’s really easy to use and customise, and I’ve tried mood trackers before and I’ve never been able to stick to them but for some reason this one is so easy to stick to! The little moments of reflection are really helping me to appreciate all the things I’ve done that day, and it’s really satisfying to look at the graphs of your own moods. Highly recommend..Version: 1.9.7

FlexibleAs little or as much detail as you’d like. Reliable. Appreciate being able to personalize the color pallet, events (though I don’t use them much, and easy notes. Easy to skip all that too, which is great..Version: 2.5.2

Great app really easy to use and works really wellFound this app when I saw the developer post about it on Reddit so decided to give it a try after liking what I first saw. The app is great and give a great insight into how my mood has changed over the months and the ability to add notes is very helpful as I’ve been using it to track my antidepressants side effects and mood improvements. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.1.0

Mood - HappyEasy to use and track moods..Version: 1.9

Simple and effectiveI love this app! I don’t do things daily and I don’t allow notifications on a lot of my apps but this app is something I look forward to and has done consistently everyday since last November. You can create your own events and it’s just fun to see the data..Version: 1.9.6

Amazing App!I spent hours looking through various app and stumbled across this one after looking for ages. Was blown away by the app, it is only has a once off payment unlike other apps that have dumb subscriptions. Was super impressed by the user friendly UI. Well done!!!.Version: 1.9.6

Wonderful way to check in on the ‘internal weather’I’m currently training to be a counsellor and wanted to better understand my own ups and downs. This app is an amazingly useful tool that helps you to tag what you feel, when you feel it and what you were doing at the time. Even better, it helps you look back across that info and really easily see the patterns and the things that help, and the things that hinder you. Highly recommend it..Version: 2.2.4

Really nice app! This is an amazing mood tracking app with some really cool and useful features. I really like the design and how easy it is to quickly add entries. The app even has FaceID locking too! Apple watch support is also a really nice bonus! However, I wish there was the option to quickly add events in the watch app too..Version: 2.1.0

Highly recommend !This app changed my life in a huge way! the ability to look back on how I've felt over the last few years (haven't missed a day) is super valuable in understanding how my mood works and what makes me happy. Knowing that I can share my thoughts with my future self kind of takes the edge off difficult experiences. The app is very functional. Big respect to the creators of this app. Thanks..Version: 2.5.2

I’m impressedI’m a 23 Male and I have to say I am enjoying this app a ton. You can customize it to be a mans experience rather then a woman’s. Several apps like this are catered to women. I like having a place to post my feelings and the things I’ve done during the day. It’s also nice that I can go back to any day and read the fond memories or the dumb problems. I personally haven’t changed anything in my life because of this app but that’s because I’ve only been using it for a week. I fully plan on changing my daily life because of this app. I also agree your health on iPhones should be connected to this app and also I have no clue if you could partner with Fitbit but that would be great. Thank you for the fantastic user interface and the cheap price..Version: 1.8

Simple but effectiveI downloaded this after seeing a mood calendar posted in Reddit. I wanted to see how seasons, my work schedule, and other factors affect my mood and overall happiness. It’s really simple to create an entry about your feelings that day, and easy to find patterns on what affects your mood. I’ve already made some changes to impact my mental health, and for that reason this app has proven invaluable..Version: 1.8.2

The best mood app ever!First of all I really love this app. I almost never buy apps but let me tell you it’s worth the small price. I have chronic anxiety and some days can be really good or really bad, seemingly for no reason. This app is extremely helpful for grounding and keeping track of my emotional patterns. It has helped me to be accountable and better communicate with my therapist. I love how simple and friendly the interface is. It’s so smooth and not intimidating at all. I’ve tried other apps but quickly stopped using them because it felt like more of a hassle than a help. With this app I actually look forward to checking in because it’s so easy. Anyway you should download this app lol. It’s fantastic.Version: 1.8.2

GreatFantastic, almost exactly what I wanted. Easy to use. Simple. Aesthetically pleasing interface. Customisable. Good value for money. One thing I would love to be able to do is connect with my partner who is also using the app so that we can share our data..Version: 1.9.1

Fast, pretty but a few things missingIt would be nice to have an Apple Watch app; so that when a notification appears you can add the events and mood directly through the watch. I’d also like to see the app draw on other data sources. For example, I shouldn’t need to specify what the weather is, it should bring it in from location data and the weather app, the same for heart rate data and exercises. I’ve also noticed a few things, when the app is updated it will add a load of random events to the selection panel. Since most users probably customise this panel, changing it back requires quite a lot of work. I would also make it easier to delete events via multi selection. Overall it’s very nice though!.Version: 1.9.3

Immediately Better Than Other AppsThis app is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I find that mood tracking and journaling are so beneficial for my ADHD, and this app takes that concept and wraps it up nicely. Free version is beautiful and simple - premium version offers more customization and features. I’m so glad I found it!.Version: 3.2.5

Very much worth itMight seem a bit pricey when there are free alternatives, but that money investment gave me a reason to start the habit of tracking my mood. Very slick interface, easy to learn and keep up with. Putting in your mood never feels like a chore- it's less like mood log homework and more like something you do every night like brushing your teeth or having a shower. Most importantly, it is extremely customizable and allows you to figure out what works for you. I highly recommend sticking to mood scales without a "neutral" option, as it forces you to think deep into if you're feeling positive or negative when you're just having a "meh" day..Version: 1.8.2

Pretty perfect appJust moved in with a girl and her kids and after an argument last night, i woke up sort of mad and depressed. So much so that it made me want to track my happiness for a while to get a good visual sense of what my life actually looks like and if I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I was hoping that after a few month, the answer would be clear. I purchased this app because it looked fun and complete and it does EVERYTHING I need it to do and more. It makes me aware or my moods and what affects them, completely feeds the dataviz nerd in me, and I even naturally started using it as a journal from day one even though I never held one. Great job on this app. Thank you!.Version: 1.2.3

Reminders seem to be buggyOverall pretty good but the reminders suddenly became inconsistent and buggy. I get them sometimes, but often I don’t. They used to be reliable so I imagine this is only a bug..Version: 2.5.1

Very coolGreat for tracking general happiness etc. good charts.Version: 3.2.2

😮This app is amazing for keeping track of emotions and how you feel each day..Version: 1.4.3

One of the best mood tracking appsI wanted to find a app to track my mood after certain life events happened. I tried a lot of the free ones but they were missing features such as calendar view or adding photo to the day but this has it all so it’s well worth the price for me. Only feedback I would have: 1. Add the ability to add more than one photo or even a video to a calendar entry. 2. Filter calendar days by mood and with photo attached..Version: 2.0.0

Great appI’ve been using this app almost every day for nearly 4 years now and it’s been great to track my mood and work out the links between what I do and how I feel. I love the different graphs you can look at, and how you can change the colour scheme. I think the addition of photos is great and I enjoy choosing one to represent my day when I write my diary each evening. Customer service are really nice too. Definitely recommend this app!.Version: 3.2.2

Like it a lot. I need to use it more!I like that this app feels secure, private, unobtrusive, and not pushy if I don’t want to engage with it. Main due side is that too often I don’t. I really enjoy it when I remember it’s there though, and I appreciate that it’s not spammy with notifications. I love all the icons for activities (though I don’t usually apply them to that *moment*, but rather that day or so, so my analytics may be a little thrown off associating immediate mood with activities)..Version: 3.2.5

Unheard ofIn the app game, or in tech in general, I’ve never actually seen a company truly commit to customer experience / user feedback. Chris and Moodistory request and actually listen to all customer feedback and actually implement that into their app updates. This is truly incredible. Beyond that, this is a beautiful, easy to use journal app that is a steal because other apps will have you pay a monthly fee. I find that tracking my mood shows me how my mood varies and it’s all a part of consciousness. I’m big on mindfulness, and for me, this app is a great reminder that moods come and go and I don’t need to worry about a bad mood because it will pass. Lastly, I like the design and colors so much I’d buy a sweater with the logo on it. Thank you Chris and Moodistory!.Version: 2.1.0

GreatI love it. It does everything I need and looks great too..Version: 3.2.2

Perfect AppThis is the mood tracker you’ve been looking for!! I’ve been using Moodistory for about 4 months now and have zero complaints. Looking back at my mood across months with a birds eye view is an eye opening experience, and clicking back on days that are on the upper or lower end of the scale brings what matters into perspective. Thank you developer for having so many customization options while keeping the UI simple and fun to navigate! Moodistory has become a small but important part of every day for me. I hope the developer continues to support this and also makes more incredible apps with their talent..Version: 1.9.1

Lovely, Simple Mood TrackerI love the simplicity of this app. The design and user experience is minimalist yet colorful and fun. It’s nice how you can customize the colors to your liking. The mood tracking experience is incredibly simple and easy to use. It offers many options for factors that could be affecting your mood. I’ve been using Daylio for over a year and I loved it, but I found it to be a little more clunky. The interface of Moodistory is a lot better, in my opinion. The other thing that this app has over Daylio is an apple watch app. I really need an apple watch app because I want to be able to record moods and events without having to use my phone. This is a big win. The only improvement I would love to see is the ability to export a chart or graph of mood history just like you can in Daylio. Overall, I’m loving this app so far!.Version: 2.5.1

ExcellentGreat mood tracking app. Waiting for more integrations!.Version: 3.2.1

Love it!Looking forward to track my mood every evening and write a little summary about how my day went. Also upload a photo of the day. This allows me to put lows into perspective and feel grateful for most days. It also proved that my nickname “moody Judy” is totally unjustified 😅.Version: 2.5.2

Grrrreat!Elegant, simple, powerful and fun! This kind of app is only as good as your adherence to it, and this one makes it easy. Quite probably the best mood/journaling app out there..Version: 2.5.2

Great AppI can visually Log my moods everyday allowing me to analyse my thoughts over the months or years allowing me to pick up on any mood trends. As a diagnosed sufferer of PTSD I use this App/Tool to brief specialists on my long term moods and thought processes. Being able to show your moods in a colourful calendar format can instantly tell me whether I’ve had a good or a bad month. Well worth the money. Thank you to the developer/s for not making this app a money grabbing monthly subscription..Version: 2.1.0

Lovely little mood trackerI’ve started therapy & needed something to help me track my moods on a regular basis. Just to check in with myself & how I’m feeling. I like that Moodistory doesn’t try to do too much. You can track your moods, tag, see patterns, and little journal entries. That’s what I wanted and what I got. Great, reliable app all around 😀.Version: 3.2.7

Worth itAfter looking at various apps this works. Only downside, not enough activity icons..Version: 3.0.0

It’s genuinely useful and simple to useI’ve only had this app for a day, so I’m not sure how accurate that’ll make my review, but so far this app has been lovely. It’s super easy to use and the customisation features are really helpful..Version: 1.8.5

Can’t wait to see results!I saw a preview for this on Reddit, and I downloaded immediately. I’ve been using it to track my moods the last couple weeks, and I think it’s really going to help me map out and journal my mental well-being. Excited to see how things look in a few months!.Version: 1.8.5

A wonderful way to keep a bullet journalThere are so many journaling apps out there and I have tried most of them. What sets this app apart is the simplicity with which you can create an entry. A couple of taps and a swipe and you’re done. You can add photos, locations and notes too. The Apple Watch functionality is brilliant and makes creation and dictation a breeze. Everything is stored locally in your iPhone and you can manually back up to iCloud with two taps. Sync between iPad and iPhone would be good but its omission shouldn’t get in the way of you using the app. **update** I contacted the developer via their website and received a kind and personalised response within 24hrs. I asked if an “On This Day” style function could be included. They say they think that it is a great idea and have added it to their list..Version: 2.2.2

Great app :)I use this for pain mgmt tracking.Version: 3.2.7

ICloud sync pleaseI'd love to be able to sync the entries across devices via iCloud [especially as it can also be run on M1 macs] and automatic back ups would be great too for peace of mind. Also, sometimes if I switch apps to check something while halfway through and entry, then return to Moodistory, it resets and loses everything input so far. Thanks.Version: 2.1.0

Love itI actually love this app. It’s simple and easy to use, and the reminders on my watch help me remember to do a quick entry to track my mood. It’s very helpful and great for on the go during a busy life!.Version: 3.2.2

Extremely underratedThis is the best journaling app I’ve ever tried. A great UI that is clean and simple yet offers tons of customization. The color palettes are like glasses of fresh cold water to my eyes. I drink it up. I love looking back and seeing pictures. Just random picture from 2 years ago on my balcony. Not a special picture necessarily but it was of my view in that moment. Reading the entry really took me back. This is a fantastic app that I’m getting back into and hope to fill it up. I journal in a proper notebook as well so I think I’ll use this more for quick thoughts feelings moments and of course the pictures. Where as my journal I’ll probably continue to use more long form entries..Version: 3.1.2

Really good AppGot the app when it was a one time purchase last year and its great. I can track which things made me especially upset or sad and which ones made me happy. Interface is nice and for someone like me who has a routined day to day it helped me see which events tilted me so I avoid doing it till later..Version: 3.2.8

I wish I could address the maker directlyThe font in many parts of this app is microscopic. Even if I had the same level of visual clarity I did twenty years ago, it is incredibly hard to read. The gaudy colours, and the lack of variety in colour schemes, does not help. The app has a great purpose and could help me a lot. But please, please, PLEASE, Christoph. Give us the ability to adjust all font sizes and give us unlimited options with colour. Like every other app..Version: 2.4

Great journal app for your moodsThis app offers a really quick and easy way to catalog your moods throughout the day. It also has a really nice analysis page to break down your journal entries. I’ve been a long time pro subscriber of another journaling app, which is great, but with Moodistory I can easily track my mood history. Will be using both apps from now on. I’m very happy with this app so far..Version: 2.1.0

CoolNice app. Tracks fairly accurately. Worth the money..Version: 1.4.3

Love this app. Found on r/dataisbeautifulFound this app a couple months ago and have loved it more and more as updates have been coming out. The addition of pictures is by far My favorite thing about Moodistory. Sometimes all I need for my daily entry is the mood/color and a photo and nothing else. I wish there were notifications from the app to take a picture that we could customize. Like instead of being prompted to add an entry, just add a photo..Version: 1.9.7

Honestly superbThis is the only app of its kind that I've managed to stick with and use every day. The developer is awesome at listening to users feedback and implementing features that are requested. Loving the new timeline view! It's one of those features I didn't know I needed until I saw it, and now I wonder how I ever lived without it 😆 Great job!.Version: 2.0.0

Better than every other mood tracker I’ve triedEverything about the app truly is wonderful, it’s well worth the money if you want a mood tracker, I only wish there was a way for it to calculate the overall mood for the day based on the time spent feeling each mood (since I’d like to update it every individual time my mood changes) rather than the quantity/ratio of each mood. That said this is still the best tracker I’ve encountered and I use it every day.Version: 3.2.2

Invaluable AppAfter 2+ years of daily use, I’ve found this app to be helpful for both simple reflection as well as identifying patterns of thought and action that lead to positive and negative states. Interactions are simple and direct, reports are clear and actionable..Version: 3.2.5

Great simple appDoes what it sets out to do elegantly and without fuss. Great low friction mood tracking on Apple Watch. Good export options..Version: 3.2.2

Worth the moneyThis app is definitely worth the $4.99 although I think the option to only be able to add 1 photo is a little disappointing because I take a lot of photos during the day.Version: 2.3.1

The best mood-tracking app!I am notoriously terrible with maintaining consistency with daily mood-tracking apps, but not with moodistory. The app is easy to customize and I love being able to control the frequency/time that reminders to log are delivered! The watch app is a lifesaver when I'm on the go too. Mood, the daypart, and what activities I am engaged in are quick to log. The developers did a great job and I can't believe I finally found something that has stuck!.Version: 3.2.5

Good so far!I've only just started using this, but I bought it as the description highlighted that data is stored locally, which is important to me. I like the walk-throughs and the smooth ease of use. It would be nice if there were some more options to customise events — mass deleting events rather than doing so individually, and the ability to rename and reorder categories. I would like to be able to make my own categories so that I can order e.g. My daily tasks, appointments etc, and to be able to remove categories that aren't relevant to me..Version: 1.8

So much customization!I bought this app after seeing a post on Reddit featuring it. I’ve been looking for an app to track my mood and this does it so well! From having intuitive reminders to being able to customize my color theme, I feel like this app does everything I could ask for. I love that you can record what activities you did throughout the day and write a short note about the day. It’s such an awesome app! My one recommendation would be to integrate Apple’s Activity and/or Health App, if possible. It’d be cool to see how much physical activity you did (or didn’t do) throughout the day to see how it effects your mood. I know nothing about app development, so I don’t know if it’s even possible. Overall I am loving using this app!.Version: 1.8

Need more contents, especially “add photos” to entryI really loved this app, one of the paid app that yearly worth it All I want is an “add photos” to entry option. I went to the movie with my friends and took a picture of ourself. I wrote about it and I wish I could at least stick a picture on the entry. Although it’s still a great app.Version: 1.3

Great App So FarI was honestly a little sceptical at first to purchase this app but it’s been really great so far! It makes it super simple to track my mood throughout the day and I really enjoy the statistics feature. Keep up the great work devs!.Version: 1.9.7

Love it so far (3 days)Got it because of the Apple Watch integration. Are there plans to add event selection to an Apple Watch entry? I’d just like to add my vote for that feature please.Version: 2.2.3

Exactly What I WantedI have been planning to make some software that tracks my mood along with my vital signs on and off for about a year now and I am so happy I found this app. It does exactly what I want it to and even had a reminder that I set towards my “wind down” time of the day. I think the data collected from this, along with other health metrics, could have very useful implications for actionable steps to improve one’s quality of life. I was happy to pay for the app and I hope to see wide-spread adoption and use of this app! Please market as much as you can reasonably afford to and get some testimonials of people who have made changes in their life for the better with this app. 10/10 please continue to update and support 😁👍🏻.Version: 2.1.0

Love itEverything I need in a mood tracker, and very easy to use. Love the analysis it gives me about things. Been using it for 1 month now and it’s been helpful. However I wish I could have two copies of this app or profiles something, because I would love to be able to track my energy levels in the same way this app tracks my mood, but I can only choose one or the other, while I would like to track both. I get that’s outside the purpose of this app, but it would be nice..Version: 1.8.2

Love this app!I really love your app! thank you so much for your hard work. The app is so beautiful and I use it daily since I got it about 3 months ago. I check in from my watch as soon as something great happens or theres a change in my mood. Can you please add fitness and sleep syncing from current and even past posts? I would like to track how fitness and sleep also has effect on my mood.Version: 3.0.0

Didn’t want a subscription based serviceSuper happy with this and bought off the other reviews. Tried others and were not what I wanted, either too complex or too simple. Really like the widget for just adding a quick note. The apple watch integration is a bonus as well for a quick note. There is enough customisation without clutter. I really hope this app is supported in the long run. In hindsight I would happily have payed more to support it and hope it lasts as I can see myself using it for a long time.Version: 2.5.2

Incredibly helpfulI suffer from a number of mental illnesses, and this app has been extremely useful and easy to use when it comes to tracking my moods and thoughts throughout the day and night. It’s a million times easier than trying to write diary entries. I want to thank the developers for creating this app because it’s really having a positive impact on me..Version: 1.9.3

Wonderful SimplicityHere’s a great single-purchase mood tracker with simple navigation and interface. If it’s missing one thing, it’s the option to share real-time data with a therapist or other. However, the export to PDF feature is equally effective and is generated with colorful delight. And oh yea, the notifications are customizable, so you can be notified randomly throughout the day.Version: 1.7

LOVE this app!It has helped me tremendously in tracking my moods including details like what type of events are most associated with a certain mood. I like that you can choose from pre-made color options or you can make your own. Highly recommended!!.Version: 3.2.8

Everything I was looking for!Watch app for quick and easy entries? Yes! Fully customisable event lists and categories? Yes! Fun and easy to use? Yes! I’ve tried more than 10 mood / journal apps, but they’ve all lacked one thing or another for me. This app has everything I was looking for and then some. I highly recommend it. It’s a hidden gem and I hope more people discover it! Well done to the team that created it, this one’s a life changer..Version: 2.3.1

Wow, brilliant app!So first of all; I have been using this app since November 2019 and I really like it! The interface is fantastic and the £7.99 I payed was definitely worth it. If you are looking for a mood tracker, I would recommend looking into this app..Version: 1.9.3

Beautiful and efficientWorth the money, good app to track mood and reflect on the trajectory later.Version: 3.2.8

Fantastic AppFantastic app with a great UI. Documenting everything becomes enjoyable and easy to do. The app is easy on the eyes and allows for a lot of customization. I do however wish there were more icons to apply for custom stuff. The clip art does seem a bit limited, and sorting through stuff I don’t do can be a bit tedious. I don’t see a way to completely remove things from the Events menu (i.e. I don’t play Badminton). I wish I could customize the Events menu just a bit more..Version: 1.8.2

Good app, plenty of featuresTitle. I like it. However I don’t usually write reviews for apps I download, but the developer seems to respond to them and there is a design flaw I would like to mention. When you scroll through the moods, you have to move your finger from the right to the left to get the LEFT option. This should not be the case; it is backwards. When you move your finger to the left, it should move to the right option. This is how it is when you scroll through a webpage as well. It is very confusing the way it is right now and against the norm. Please fix or give me a solid reason why you have it the way you have it right now!.Version: 1.9.7

Consistent use helpsI like that the app and my watch talk. That helps me to be a bit more consistent. And seeing patterns over time has been very useful to both me and my therapist. I wish the watch app were a bit easier to use. I find it tough to add events, meaning I often don’t and then forget what was underlying the mood. I also wish I could sync with my tablet. That would really help me stay on top of it. Overall though, I use the app daily and will continue to do so. It’s helping me understand my triggers and patterns very effectively..Version: 3.2.8

Amazing AppSo this app is pretty straightforward and gets the job done fantastically, having a pretty skeleton for tracking mood, identifying which days are horrible and which ones are good, etc. My only gripe with the app is that the font is a bit too big and everything feels a bit cluttered - and even though the customization is on point, I’d like the option to switch around some of the UI or change the font so it’s smaller. But the devs are doing a fantastic job.Version: 1.9.2

Love this app - easy to use!I’ve been using this roughly two months and I love it! The color customization and event icon customizations is the best part. I like that I can remove events that aren’t relevant to me (like fishing and billiards) and add ones (like reading and walking my dog)! Also being able to quickly add my moods on my Apple Watch has made it a ton easier to keep track of my moods throughout the day. Great job!.Version: 2.3.1

Great app for reflectingI have been going through a super rough relationship and it has been super helpful for me to be able to check in with myself and see where I am at and being able to go back and see how badly this affects my mood. 10/10 recommend, super easy to use and works perfectly. I love the little reminders to check in each day. Definitely glad I use it.Version: 3.2.2

Already love itOh boy just downloaded this app and it is beautiful and easy to use. I particularly like the reminder settings, and how you can ask for a random time within a given period. The only thing I was disappointed not to see was any “event” options to do with weather or time spent outdoors..Version: 1.8

Yes buy itTotally worth the money..Version: 1.9.3

Helpful and funI can’t praise this app enough it helps me notice patterns in my mood and feelings and try to fix things before they get better. It’s simple to use and fun to customise..Version: 3.2.5

Great app!Thank you for creating this app, it is really great when I’m trying to monitor my mood on certain days. I’ve noticed an uptick in my mood from October to November because I’m thinking about it each day thanks to this app. It’s helping me to keep myself in a routine and in check. My only critique that I can offer is to have a “true neutral” mood. Sometimes I’m just meh and not really feeling anything and it would be useful for those days where I’m not sure what to pick. Thanks again for this wonderful app!.Version: 1.8.2

Easy to use, well designedI’ve tried other mood trackers but this is by far the best I’ve encountered yet. It’s well worth the purchase price for me as it’s important to have an easy to use app. It’s low motivation friendly, you can register your mood in seconds and then forget about it if that’s all you feel up to that day. The navigation is simple and calming. I honestly can’t imagine a better designed app for this sort of thing.Version: 1.3

Beautifully presented dataHonestly thrilled to have an app that you just pay for and no adverts or in app purchases. Very well designed and hopefully will help me get my mental state better. I like having data to look at and this app presents it beautifully. Thanks to the guy on reddit who posted this in r/dataisbeautiful.Version: 1.9.7

Best mood tracker I’ve triedAll the features you’d want without the mumbo jumbo. I don’t want an app to motivate me to meditate or workout or whatever. Just to track. This app does that in style. I was a user of Moodistory years ago and stopped for a while. The additions to the app since I have returned to using it make it even better and really show that it is maintained by a caring dev team. My favorite new feature is the widget that shows you photos associated with good days. What a nice thing to have sitting on my Home Screen. Thanks to the Moodistory team for making a feature heavy yet still no frills app for mood tracking..Version: 2.5.2

Simple and comprehensiveI’ve used a lot of these over the years. I appreciate that this doesn’t try to be more than a mood journal because it does that REALLY well. It’s modifiable to what you need and track and simple. At first I was annoyed that there’s no true neutral option but after using it appreciate having to decipher which side of that I’m on. Very useful for anyone doing therapy or medical work where mood tracking is relevant or someone looking to gain more insight into trends/correlations and how they are day-to-day. The app for the Apple Watch has helped me log frequently and quickly (under 30seconds if I’m not specifying any tags).Version: 2.2.4

Worth the moneyThis app is absolutely with the price. It is really well designed, great features, and the developer is very responsive. This is the first mood app I have consistently used. Extremely happy with it.Version: 1.9.2

Great way to collect personal data.I found this app through a Reddit post. I started just trying to note my mood at least once a day. The randomized reminders really help me because if it was at the same time everyday I wouldn’t pay attention to the prompt..Version: 2.3.1

A great startI love how easy this is. I like journaling but I’m not very consistent with it. I like how I can make it more simple or detailed depending on how I’m feeling. It’s great to be able to check in with myself emotionally throughout the day. The only complaint is that I wish I had more emotions to choose from. I would love for you guys to add angry/irritated, anxious, tired, stressed, etc..Version: 2.3.1

Wish it didn’t say howdyGreat app, hate “howdy” in the notification, i’m not a cowboy.Version: 2.4

From a mental-health-majored graduate studentI’m a graduate student who studies the underpinnings and treatments of mental health problems and also someone who suffers from mild depression and anxiety. After using several apps to manage my mental health including gratitude journaling and AI chatbots, I came across this app and decided to give it a try. Since downloading two months ago and having using it consistently every day, I have found tremendous benefits in understanding my mood patterns. The app is incredibly simple and fun to engage in. I track my mood whenever emotions arise, and I’m now much more acquainted with my triggers and activities that relax me. The day by day month by month view also allows me to connect the dots and avoid planning activities that could stress me out during the work week. I cannot praise the developers of this app more. It’s truly life changing..Version: 2.3

Only app that I actually use consistentlyThe app’s flow and general design and features make it so it’s the most useful of it’s genre. I’ve tried other apps but this one hits a stride that makes it easy to use and easy to get into. You can be as detailed as possible, or as minimal as possible. Also the visualization is very well made and customizable..Version: 1.8.1

This app is a life saverI’ve been using this app for over two years now. It’s been essential in helping me track my mental health as well as identify what’s working and what’s not working in my life. Working out? Super happy results! No date nights with the husband and away from the kids? Here’s data! For real, I cannot recommend this app more. I’ve used it every single day. It’s made me a better me..Version: 3.2.5

Simple and engagingI’ve only used Moodistory for a few days but already I’m wishing I’d had it for my last year of counselling sessions..Version: 2.3.1

I love this app.I’ll say now that I was “prescribed” this app when I first started some serious therapy. I liked being able to track it and it helped me realize times I was in days (or weeks) long depression episodes. I really enjoy being able to track things that might be triggers. I have found out a lot about myself by using this to listen to myself. If that makes sense. Thanks to the crew at Moodistory you’re awesome and have made an impact in my life..Version: 2.5.2

Nice to have an outletFor a long time I have felt very stressed and unwell and I had nowhere to go with it. I found this app through a featured section and liked the journal idea. I’ve tried physical journals but it was always a deterrent to have to pick up a journal and write paragraph after paragraph. Since the app is all digital I can pick up my phone at any time and write about my day in just a few minutes. It’s nice to also have the ability to view the data of what may be causing certain things. If you are looking for an outlet and haven’t found anything else that suites you I would definitely check this app out..Version: 1.6.0

Worth the moneyVery nice app, overall great experience. Does exactly what I need it to do with little bloat. One thing about the app that I don’t like is on the entry edit screen, right before saving, the fields only fill up about 80% of the screen width. This feels weird, especially when you’re typing in the box. If this was changed, I would give the app 5 stars in a heartbeat..Version: 2.3.1

AmazingThis app is by FAR the best wood tracker i’ve tried. Allows you to easily add what you’ve been doing in the day and additional notes etc and makes connections between activities and moods. Helped me to figure out the causes of my migraines from only using it a couple of weeks. Well worth the money.Version: 1.6.0

A few misunderstandings but fantastic customer supportSo by all rights I had my apprehensions and was quite upset with a couple of features that in turn were based on my assumptions rather than the text at hand. The watch app currently does not support GPS location when logging events, though through my support emails that is subject to change it looks like, and the watch app does not support logging heart rate during the taking of mood notes which is something I had assumed it did but upon further reading of the text description realized that it was my error in that assumption. While I have provided suggestions through the support emails and the responsiveness has been high, I had originally planned a three star rating. But based on customer support and future upgrades I reserve a five star rating..Version: 2.2.3

Great app to track mental healthHave used everyday of 2023. Quick way to track mental health, can do as little or much as you want..Version: 3.2.8

Great AppLove this app and all its features.Version: 3.2.5

Great app!Helps me track my mental health and also what improves or negatively impacts my mental health. Really awesome!.Version: 3.2.8

Love it! Helping a lot!I really like the ability to track what’s making me feel certain ways, if I were to make a suggestion, I’d say more icons for events, more color customization (editing the background, text color, etc), maybe customizing the little mood not with a hat or something would be kinda neat, and lastly, more color options, maybe being able to select colors from cmyk sliders, a color wheel, etc and add them to the base palette or at least a few for a favorites bar or something. I’m also having a slight error wherein the missing entry icon on the page that shows recent entries won’t go away, even when I click it and make an entry it doesn’t leave and I have no clue what it’s for or what to do about it.Version: 1.8.1

Excellent appExcellent app with constant updates and responsive developer. Will an iPad version be added at some point?.Version: 2.5.2

Best emotion trackerI’ve been using Moodistory for about almost a year. I personally love this app because it doesn’t have a neutral option (unless you want one). As someone with a mental illness this app is the best back in November I was in a really bad spot and needed a medication change. I don’t think I would of actually changed it unless I saw the actual data. Also I love all the colours they’re super vibrant and customizable as someone who loves pink there is so many options. Also you can create your own categories so if you have a daily routine like me you can just make a daily routine category all in all this app is amazing and FREE I think I can’t remember but if it did cost some thing it was worth every penny! 10/10 recommend.Version: 2.2.4

Brilliant, simple appI love using this app. It tracks mood and mental health in a beautiful, elegant way. It manages to be very customisable while incredibly simple at the same time.Version: 3.2.8

More than one picture ?I really love this app and i use it everyday but i would love it even more if i could put more than one picture to show and remember what i did during the day !! thank you for considering it i would really appreciate it !! ☺️.Version: 2.1.0

Used for yearsGreat way to record the good and the bad bits of my day with the colour coded calendar giving a useful easy to understand overview 👏.Version: 3.2.2

Cool AppLike this app find it useful daily.Version: 3.2.5

Highly recommendThis app changed my life. It’s been a hugely valuable resource; before using it, I’d never been able to look back on my emotions + headspace with an objective lens. It’s an incredible app, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Thanks to the creators 🙏.Version: 3.2.2

Great for ADHD!Fantastic app!! Easy way to gamify tasks - recommending it to all the ADHD ppl I know.Version: 3.2.2

Worth the moneySo nice to see an app without a subscription model that does what it says on the tin. Thank you. Also GORGEOUS GUI..Version: 2.5.2

The best one I’ve usedSuch a well designed app!!! I’ve tried a few different journal/mood trackers before, and while they are all functionally similar, I’ve found Moodistory to be the easiest for me to maintain by far. I haven’t missed a single day of recording my mood since I first downloaded the app a few months ago, whereas with other apps I often stopped a few weeks in. I think a big reason why is, the app is just soooo well designed and pretty to look at, so it’s quite a pleasure to record my mood! All of the diagrams and stats are useful too. Worth every dime :) A tangential note - as someone who’s dabbled in mobile development and has interest in UX, apps like this one inspire me to learn more.Version: 2.0.0

Great app!I really enjoy this app! It is very intuitive and looks very nice and clean. The insights it provides are very interesting and have helped me learn a lot about my mood. I ran into a small bug and contacted support. They responded very quickly and were very kind and helpful!.Version: 1.9.2

Simple but powerful - actually using itI came across this application incidentally and decided to download it as I had been considering starting a mood / activity journal of some sort for various reasons. I’ve been very impressed. It is easy and intuitive to use, powerful enough to be useful, and I love the opportunity to optionally add free form journal entry to each entry. I’ve used the reminders functionality so that I’m prompted throughout the day to make an entry. I enjoy the UI/UX. One area I’d like to see improvement on is instead of just a linear scale for mood represented by large frown through to broad smile, the ability to record emotions via an intuitive emotion wheel chart..Version: 1.6.0

Amazing appBrilliant, easy to use app with a gorgeous style. No negatives at all but one suggestion would be if the events list had a ‘regularly used’ feature at the start, similar to emojis as this would make it a much more seamless experience!.Version: 1.8.5

Lovely little appOne off payment for a little journal that I use just to remember what I did most days that can be easily searched. Been using for years.Version: 3.2.5

A lifesaverI’ve never written a review for an app, but I feel so passionately I’d like to write one. This app is incredible. The customizability makes it so that it can be whatever you want. I use it to track not only mental health but chronic illness symptoms. It’s so handy to be able to keep and write this stuff down, especially with my ADHD, so my memory is terrible. It’s a lifesaver to be able to pull up this app and tell doctors what’s been going on. Another thing I love about this app that you don’t seem to get with many others is you can put in multiple entries per day. My mood fluctuates so much, so this is a really important feature to me. The customizability not just with tracking but with the colors and app icons are very fun. You can truly make it your own. I love this app with all my heart!! My only suggestion is to please add more icons! Even miscellaneous ones to choose from. Those would be super cool and I’d love to see that in the future. Thank you for making this app!!.Version: 2.5.2
