It also provides great summaries and provides background info on less understood topics. I like that the highlights also include explanations on why a particular topic is important. Lastly, I like the educational “packs” which act as good cliffs notes on specific topics - they are easy to understand and are helpful in that there aren’t a lot of explainers out there..Version: 2.0.5

✓ Excellent app for finance news and educationDaily news stories are divided into channels (markets, crypto, and a couple of deeper dives). They’re different to their stories in the Finimize email newsletter, so you can get even more content here. But the style is exactly the same: simple to understand, interesting content and usually entertaining to read too. As well as the reviews of actual ways to invest, the app recently started producing “packs” that introduce you to various aspects of investing. Some of these I skimmed through, as I already understand things like interest rates, but I learned something new with a couple of them. For a while it was frustrating as the app made it difficult to read the whole guide at once (and I’d forget to come back and read more the next day), but they’ve fixed that now. The language used is clear and the jargon is limited - if there are technical terms then these are explained or defined very well. The app is exceptionally well designed and looks amazing. The articles etc are very insightful and well written. It would be great if the links to the definitions of terms were kept in-app so they didn’t take you to other websites (or even wikipedia!). Some terms are occasionally defined in-app but this is rare. It would also make it a much better user experience if the tab at the bottom of the screen on the daily briefing to play the audio could be minimised, particularly when you’re reading another article - it’s just a bit clunky, especially when you’re reading rather than listening..Version: 1.6.36

It’s extremely frustrating for me to have to find my place in an article over and over and over and over again whenever I respond to a text message, or put my phone down for a second. ✓ This app pays for itselfI don’t usually write reviews but I feel like I should for this app. I started the free trial for this app and my plan was to cancel before getting charged, which I forgot to do so. I got charged, I believe around £70 for a yearly subscription. I was annoyed with myself for not cancelling and told myself I’m gonna use it as much as I can, since I’ve paid for it. In reality I haven’t even used it that much but after listening to several podcasts I made some investing decisions based on the information I received from the app, those decisions have worked out so well that the app has paid for itself 10 fold. This is a brilliant tool for investors - experienced or inexperienced, I’m so happy I never cancelled the trial and I continued to use it. ✓ Great Info, Even Better DeliveryFinimize manages to do what hallowed institutions either refuse to do or are unable to do... get with the times. They provide solid financial information, interesting insights, and helpful background packs (for when you need to bone up on a particular mechanism for investing or quirk of the market). I have found that Finimize has the perfect balance of serious financial news with legitimate analysis (as opposed to click bait you see elsewhere) and delivering it in easy to read emails and their app. They even record audio of the same info if you would prefer to listen in the car or on the go. Much more accessible than the old stuffy advisors (e.g. Morningstar), but just as good info. Love Finimize, and think it’s worth every penny..Version: 1.6.37
