✓ Crashes while opening, unusable!Was great for about a year but now after update the app won't open. Crashes while trying to open. Tried deleting & reinstalling but continued to get same result, crash & burn. No point for me to go to any of their ranges if app won't work, not for the price they charge at said ranges. ✓ Has potential, frustrating mobile experienceThe app doesn’t have nearly as much insight when looking back at your practice sessions as you do at the range. It would be really helpful if I could see a better map of my shot breakdown than what is provided, similar to the one you see when you’re at the range. Also, my practice sessions can’t be viewed until hours after my session for some reason? This should be available as soon as I end my session. It doesn’t make sense to me that there is no web application. I should be able to login to my account and see my practice details in a web browser..Version: 3.29.0

✓ Needs a few more features…Hi Devs, the app is great, it just needs more. Add Friends - 4 of us play every week, why can’t we add & compare stats with friends? Scorecard - Virtual Golf doesn’t save your score card, just your final score. In game stats - virtual golf doesn’t save statistics, ie longest drive, GiR%, Fairways hit etc. The whole point of this app is to track my improvement, but without the above, or having to use specific modes to capture that data, in the end all it does is show an average chart. ✓ Waste of timeI managed to sign up, but now it won’t let me sign in. The app just crashes. Given up after about 10 attempts. Other reviewers seem to be having similar problems, especially when using an iPhone, so it looks as though the developer needs to get their act together..Version: 3.26.0

✓ Good to sign in but disappointingI was hoping it would show my shots, longest drive. Best on target etc. But unfortunately not. Only shows closest to pin and what’s in my bag. Missing all the other games. Would be excellent if I can review at least my best shops regardless of game. ✓ Lots of wasted potentialThis offers great information at the range. Grouping, shot shapes etc. Was looking forward for the app to mirror the range experience. ✓ Cannot log inApp locks once I input my email address. I cannot move the cursor and the keyboard does not accept any inputs after I type the URL section of the email. ✓ Interface to review data is cumbersomeHow does one “register” a club in the app? The screens at the range say it can be done, but it’s not evident in the app how to go about this. It’s an example of poor execution/integration, but it has potential. Maybe you should have a UX designer(s) flowing requirements to the engineers instead of having engineers winging it and trying their hands at design? I know it costs, but invest in your own product! This should be better than a middle school class project! I’m disgruntled my range went to this and then upped the charges. It’s fun, but poorly executed. Could be SOOOO much better…..Version: 3.38.1

✓ Bad tech, virtual golf putting system the worst I've ever seenVery poor technology for tracing at the range. If you have any height in wood shots I think it assumes you're hitting an iron or something. I was watching 3 wood shots I hit carry just beyond the 200 marker and roll for a long time after but the system shows it carrying 140 and getting five yards of roll like you've just hit a 9 iron. The way it does putting on virtual golf is beyond a joke as well. You can hit a second shot approach to within 12 foot of the pin and then you have to hit it precisely 55 yards to within three foot of a flag on the range to get a birdie or within eight foot for a par. No option for roll at all. Just hit a 55 yard flop you would seldom ever play on a real course, on a dime otherwise it's bogey or worse. I go to the range to practise, whenever I use top tracer I genuinely come away feeling angry and less confident in my game, the exact opposite of how I want to feel after practice. I'm a 12 handicapper and have played for half my life so I'm not a beginner or anything. Very frustrating..Version: 3.7.0

✓ Great potential but missing important optionsA Local Range installed this equipment and I’ve been out a few times to try it out. Mostly, I go to the range to try to work on skills or work out challenges that I’m experiencing. And this app has so much potential in that it offers the average consumer, the opportunity to use launch monitor data that they otherwise might not have access to. BUT , for some inexplicable reason, while you can see your individual shot data after the fact, there is no way to export it. I would love to be able to import this shot data into the Caddy app. I have on my phone for when I play rounds to help focus my distance recommendations. Searches reveal numerous users, requesting this option for the past 2+ years. This seems like doing a great job of running the marathon of designing the hardware, designing the range software, and the mobile app software only to stumble just before the finish line. To be fair to the app, it does offer opportunities of playing games while out of range that, for the frequent range user might offer an interesting change from tedious practice. However, for me, my time at the range is practice. If I’m going out for enjoyment, then that will be on the course..Version: 3.42.2

✓ Misses too many shotsIt's super cool and helpful when it works. I drove out of my way to visit a range with TopTracer only to be disappointed that I spent most of my time messing with the app. I'm adding one more star than planned because a staffer just happened to stop at my bay and told me it's only an issue at night. They don't have any trouble during the day, but the cameras just don't pick up the ball as well at night. I suggested a sign to let folks know, and the staffer agreed. * Bonus: he just gave me an extra 30 or so balls to make up for the trouble. Nice touch!.Version: 3.9.0

✓ App looks great but loss of accuracy at the range!Since the new look software was updated at my local TopTracer range, 20-25% of the shots don’t get traced. Particularly with Driver ball speeds of 160mph and above - very frustrating. Never used to be a problem. Same thing has happened in 3 different bays in the last 3 visits..Version: 3.44.3
✓ Tracking that doesn’t work 🤦🏻♂️I don’t ever write reviews, but felt compelled due to the sheer disappointment this provides. In principal it’s a great idea and the technology at driving range works, so how hard can it be to push that data to the app? Apparently very! Because none of the data ever transfers over and so it’s a wasted app I don’t need on my phone. Fix the issue with being able to collect my sessions and I’ll rate higher.Version: 3.7.0
✓ Multiple carashesFor last couple of weeks this app crashes almost every time it starts on both iPad standard and iPhone 6 making it unusable. After about 25 attempts managed to log on at range before crash. All software updates loaded. App deleted and reloaded. Devices switch off and on. No solution found..Version: 3.31.0
✓ Should be SO much better!I was expecting so much more from this app. Why do I need to take camera pics myself of the toptracer screens while practicing in order to try and “save” 99% of my data to review later, when IT’S ALL BEING CAPTURED and the app and user registration is REQUIRED to start a session? 😡 Come on, developers! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease add all the features and views from the actual session to this app and let us see flight paths, maybe even my best shots in “closest to pin” competitions. Course replays. Maybe then people would SHARE THEIR BEST SHOTS on social media, like I wanted to do just now... but nope, there are only minimal “leaderboards” in the app. Not exactly pretty. Give us those graphics you’ve already made... and that we WANT to look back at, not a list of numbers like some 1980s spreadsheet. ✓ New clubs, a problemSo I've used this for a while and the basic data is good. I've bought some new irons but not wedges or woods, so now the iron statistics for some clubs are not correct, for example my new 7 iron is a few degrees different. ✓ Ok but needs new featuresWhen playing hole by hole the information is not saved, you cannot review shot by shot and improve on your score. A playback option should be possible because it’s already recorded on the screen so the data should be ported over to your phone. Right now you play a game and just get a score. ✓ So DisappointingThe technology is good and it’s fun to use but if you do anything outside of the “My Practice” portion of the app, you will never have any recorded information about the shots that were traced. For instance, if you play a full round of golf on a virtual course and you make a good shot, you better get your phone out and take a picture because they record nothing of the round except the date and score. They should take notes from the TrackMan courses where all of that data is available within minutes of finishing your round, and you get an ariel overview of the course, pin points of where your shot landed & shot data for every stroke. ✓ Works great, when it worksI’ve visited Falconhead Golf Course now three times and have used toptracer all three times only to be disappointed. Only one of my sessions saved so two large buckets ($32) of data gone. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out soon..Version: 3.2.0

✓ Useful but not ideal.My local golf dome, #BraemarGolfDome, installed #TopTracer (TT) system 3 years ago. The place was busy before but now it is jammed, understandably as seeing actual ball flight for 60 yards does add to senses and experience. That stated I only use TT to login to the system, and to look at direction of intended flight; straight, draw, and fade. As #BraemarDome uses range balls I believe the #TopTracer distances are off by 0 - 15 yards for wedges and irons and 15 - 25 yards for woods. As #TopTracer system doesn’t adjust distance readings based on the type of ball in use, I suspect all other readings (height, spin, etc.) are off too. Too bad. This, ball-type setting adjustment seems like an easy fix..Version: 3.35.2
✓ Great idea but...I’d say the tracker picks up about 10% of my swings. It’s annoying when you hit a ball and look at the screen to realize it has not picked up your swing or ball. ✓ Pretty much doesn’t do anythingI visit a range with these tracer sets up, I noticed that you can sign in with a phone, but as I only really want to do distance I didn’t see the point in the app/games. However I finally decided to get this, sign up and scan the little barcode so that I can measure improvement. It doesn’t store that kind of info. One of the guys at the range told me it’s only useful if you play the games ‘closest to pin’ etc Shame. The stuff at the range is clearly capturing data as I can see distance speed and range map when I’m there, I don’t know why this doesn’t transfer over to the app..Version: 2.6.0
✓ Another awful updateThe data handling on this app is now so bad it puts me off going to the range. Last shot yardage differs depending on which screen you look at. It’s almost impossible to gain any insight from your practice history. You cannot remove old sessions or old clubs completely. For some reason on the iPad you cannot zoom out to see all the info together. On the face of it this is exactly the app I want but it is executed so badly I will have to ignore it until there is another major update and hope someone who has used the app is involved in its design..Version: 2.4.0
