✓ To slow to be useful in the wildI had great hopes for this app when I heard about it. I have a large number of home automation devices and I use Alexa frequently to turn on light, change thermostat, control my entertainment system. But I found the app even on my own WiFi so incredibly slow that in the time it takes to get it to even start. I can grab my phone from my pocket, pop up the app, and click on what I want to do before my watch complication is even ready. The startup process for the app needs to be a lot faster to make it worthwhile. It literally takes close to minute to start the watch app. All the while you have to keep the app active or the whole process of starting it has to start again!.Version: 1.0.8
✓ RubbishNot even worth 1 star ... I only gave it this so I could review. Unable to get this installed on my watch. Wast of £1.99 .... don’t bother I’ve tried the obvious and followed the instructions. How can I get my money back ?.Version: 1.0.18
✓ DisappointedI really wanted to love this app. If you have come to love Alexa as I have, avoid this app. I use both Siri and Alexa based on their compatibility with various hardware. The thought of using Alexa on my iPhone was very exciting. The first command I issued was to start playing music on my SONOS system. That command worked great. Once Alexa was playing music, no more commands would work (even If in another room where you cannot hear the music playing). Stopping the music on SONOS allowed commands to work again. A few hours later, no commands work. App shows ‘Thinking’ and then the watch returns to the home screen. Please fix this app, it could be so awesome!.Version: 1.0.21
✓ UselessI’ll be honest from the start , I requested a refund from apple for this app. First off it’s a slow as a week in jail. It isn’t stand alone (I have a WiFi only S6 watch) & the app doesn’t work in my house unless my phone is near by. I wanted this app to replace Siri (never use it) as my house is covered in Amazon echoes. Followed the instructions on how to make a shortcut but guess what ? The app doesn’t show in the list of apps to make a short cut. Resulting in the app being totally useless. Totally useless.Version: 2.13

✓ Love the app, but the latest update now makes it inoperable on the warchTo be clear, I love this app and that how actually provides a workaround to connect to Alexa when I’m not actually near my Echo devices. That said, the latest update within the past few days has made the watch app inoperable. While I can use the awake word such as “voice in a can” when lifting my arm up and speaking into the watch, the app constantly stays in a state of “Starting” on the watch screen and never goes to “Listening” mode. I have tried killing the app a few times on the watch and restarting in an attempt to troubleshoot The issue, but ,unfortunately,the same issue remains..Version: 1.0.18
✓ Bought this to add the Apple Watch but worse than SiriThe only thing this app does for me is to add to my shopping list via Alexa. Any other questions can easily be answered by Siri. ✓ Good replacement for SiriI use it on my Apple Watch. Sometimes at home I’m out of reach of my Echo so I tap my watch and turn on a light. Hopefully in future upgrades it will be able to control music and do a drop-in..Version: 1.0.30
✓ Dues not work wellI have a recent apple watch. I was hoping this app would be like the reverb app for the iPhone. The reverb app is super simple to use and just works. The voice in a can app needs a lot of improvement. Everytime you start it there is a process it needs to go through before you can use it. First it needs to start. Then synchronize. Then authenticate. Then it often tells me that I seem to be offline when I am not. Then it just started listening with no interaction from me and then I have to tap it to get it to stop listening. By this time in the process I have been standing and starting at my watch for about 45 seconds to a full min. I could have used my phone to do what I want. When the app finally does receive a command, it is often not able to execute it. I hope this app improves since I paid for it..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Very slow to respond, if at all.What the description doesn’t say is that it takes so long from start to finish to (for instance) turn on my living room lights using my Series one Apple Watch that I might as well use the associated app to do the job in half the time. ✓ Sounds better than describedThis does not have full Alexa capacity, you cannot use Alexa calling, announcements or drop in. All it useful for is controlling smart devices, but if I need to that, I will be near an Alexa device anyway. I have put in a refund request as IMO this is completely useless, it would be slightly useful if you could use Alexa calling..Version: 1.0.40

✓ Never works on the first launch.I have used this app for quite some time and I really tried to like it, but it never works on the first time and that’s the most annoying thing about it. Expect to see “thinking” a lot as well as it sometimes just hangs there forever. You can always eventually get it to work after repeating yourself a couple times, but man that’s annoying. I don’t know if I can blame the app or the phone or the watch or the fact that it has to authenticate itself every time, but this app doesn’t do what it needs to at all. ✓ Super slow appWhere to start, Lovely little app first to have apple watch support but SUPER SLOW! I really wish this app should have been designed by some experienced developers so they can do better work this. Other competitive apps like Reverb and Swift works superfast and 10 times faster response and they are FREE. For a paid app I would like this to be atleast 10 times faster. On this app commands from iphone x take average 20/25 secs to response and commands from apple watch over 30 sec. Very frustrating, wish they can speed this up. I am on BT infinity 150Mbs and still this app is super slow, waste of £1.99 but handy for a bit of show off on apple watch, wish you guys can speed this up in next patch update. ✓ Too slow and clunky to be of any real useSorry, but this just doesn’t work well enough to be worth it. The app worked fine on my iPad but I already have Alexa on that so the main reason for the purchase was for my watch. With the watch it is simply unusable. My watch is a series 3 so the developer did say that it would be slower but this wasn’t just slow, it was so slow you weren’t actually sure if it had worked or if it had just ignored you. ✓ Works as advertised...The app was easy to install and set up. Once you get past a couple of issues the app works as described. I have it working on my Series 4. The app works independent of my phone on both Wi-Fi and cellular. The only issues I’ve discovered when launching the app for the first time on the watch it will occasionally hang in listening mode and you have to press the white square to get it to continue. Subsequent requests seem to work as normal. The second issue is minor but equally annoying the auto screen rotation. Rotate your wrist away from you slightly past vertical and the screen rotates and any text response is now upside down..Version: 1.0.21

✓ Promising ConceptI like the concept of this app. Being able to access Alexa via an Apple Watch complication is awesome. Based on the App Store description, it’s seems that an LTE Apple Watch will have the best results. I have a series 3, non-LTE. It’s a bit too slow to respond. The developers are limited by what Apple currently allows from Apple Watch apps. I’m hoping that Apple improves the API & that this app improves thereafter..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Not worth itJust downloaded this and tried to get it to play music on my Apple Watch 5. No chance! It says this device does not support Apple Music. What’s the point of having an app for an Apple Watch if it won’t play stuff from Apple’s own service. Rubbish waste of money..Version: 1.0.30
