✓ Interestingly subtle❣️Update: The developer quickly fixed the inability topick the last waveform on the side pull-over panel as the IAA icon covers it on the IAA transport control panel. Now I can also just do a single touch to pull out the side bar. 👍 It’s still annoying having part of the audiogram covered. Just make it a callapsible pull out menu. The UI will look cleaner too. Oh, I forgot. I still can’t get any audio through tardigrain used as an AU. Now off for some more ‘sonic seasonings’ tardigrain style❣️ ——— While some interesting sounds are to be had with the tardigrain app, there are some serious UI design issues. First, you can’t pick the last waveform on the side pull-over panel as the IAA icon covers it on the IAA transport control panel. Both the control icon panel and the IAA transport panel overlay the audiogram, which is your working area. Both of those groups of icons, ideally, should be collapsible pullout panels like the one they have, but to be able to ‘just touch’ the expansion icon to expand for access, like many other sound/synth/audio apps developers do. The pull-over panel on the right, as it is now, can take anywhere from 2-3 touch/pulls to as many as 8-10 tries on my iPad Pro on iOS 11. A real pain. I think the strength of tardigrain may lie in the flexibility of the sound source. Trying to use tardigrain as an AU, so far, as soon as I engage it I lose all sound no matter what I do..Version: 1.0.3

✓ A different granular synthAs with everything Eric Sigth creates, this is unique. Does what you'd expect a granular synthesiser to do, but adds unique features that make it different. Importing single cycle samples and wavetables into tardigrain is easy and fun. Single cycle waveform samples can be looped, and they play back across the keyboard as you would expect. Looped playback of single cycle samples is uncommon on the ios platform. You can use this in the effect slot as well, to access the Waveshaper, Reverb, etc. process other instruments through Tardigrain! The effects are great, especially Waveshaper. There are a few small issues related to AUv3 that need resolving, but this developer always fixes whatever bugs arise. I suspect the issues lay with apple. Still, nothing that stops a user from utilising the instrument. Great instrument. Thank you Erik Sigth..Version: 1.0.5

✓ Great addition to creative libraryThis is a very cool sound app. Have found that shorter samples avoiding spikes work best to avoid the rattling and clicking that repeat in key presses sometimes. Dropbox support would be fantastic... could rule the world with Freesound!.Version: 1.0.5
✓ Love itMade a cool track with this, I was looking for something strange capable of making strange sound this was it, I sampled a bass note from a piano and it sounded so dark and ambient, this app is interesting and can make something simple sound unique, good for drones, love the look, love the parameter changes possible, high sound quality.Version: 1.0.25
✓ Love it just one issueThis app is one of the most interesting sampler/synths that I’ve used. I use it on quite a bit of music especially for cinematic sequences. My only issue is that when I open it as an audio unit the user presets are not available to use. Other than that this is a great app..Version: 1.0.7

Haven’t used it as much lately, having a few issues with the recording source audio into the app directly and just moved on to another. ✓ Needs a tweakLots to like here, and some fabulous sounds can be imagineered. The only Robles is that it is flaky as hell when it comes to retaining AU3 settings. Which rather defeats the purpose of AU3. Fix this, and its an easy 5 star app..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Smooooth Touch Update on this Fantastic SynthTardigrain has been a home run from the get go. The synth engine makes it incredibly easy to get a wide range of sustained sounds out of virtually any sound material. The UI is also brilliant: beautiful, uncluttered, powerful. The touch keyboard + chords layout is just wonderful - I honestly wish I could use it with other iOS synths. The issue this update fixes - touch response problems with the edges, often making the controls finicky - was an annoyance that I really didn’t mind putting up with given how amazing this app is. Until this fix, I had no idea just how much better this would make the app feel. This is an unexpectedly awesome quality of life improvement to an already awesome app. Kudos for figuring out how to make a second home run out of tardigrain..Version: 1.0.11
✓ Love this synth but...Thanks for the new update! But!!! Please make microphone monitor recallable for saved sessions. This is one of my favorite reverbs as an auv3 effect but i have to open each instance and “press” the monitor button to activate the the reverb effect. Thanks so much!.Version: 1.0.26

✓ Great developer....Issues with AUv3 in any apps like these mostly stem from saving presets and especially any kind of audio file support. Word is that audio/sampling is the weakest link when it comes to AUv3. I hope Apple can help make it all more tenable soon, but it seems they just don’t make musicians a big enough priority to get their act together and help developers..Version: 1.0.10
✓ Loving the new UI.Tardigrain was always a favourite of mine, mainly for it's strangeness and quirky sounds it could make. However the UI was always a bit of an outlier in that it took some getting used to. Well role on today and the new UI has added a much needed shuffle, rearranging the UI elements into a far more logical grouping. As usual, the App also provides an outstanding granular synth that can make any sound into an interesting instrument. For instance, I took the sound of the WITCH computer at Bletchley Park and turn it into a chello sound. With AUv3 and stand alone there is a version for all seasons. It can also mix live input with granular synth, making for some awesome soundscapes. So get out there and see what you can come out with, the app is well priced and will give you very interesting results in a short time..Version: 1.1.0

✓ Break the rules of musicIf you feel like moving away from structured music then buy this app. It took me months to appreciate it. The controls seem a little bonkers at first but it is fascinating. My tip is to play one note in ‘hold’ mode, scroll though your sample whilst adjusting the different controls. The developer has provided a multitude of sonic options and it is purely up to the user how they can be manipulated. And it’s AUV3. Ace..Version: 1.0.26
✓ Deep Creative PotentialE most creative for making This app is one of the deeper sound Art type music. Every time I open this wonderful tool it never ceases to excite BUT if the crashes in Audiobus could be ironed out, as well as bpm Ableton sync with other apps it would be perfect hence not quite 5 stars.
