✓ AmazingI found out I had 3 days to study for my test and this app has made it so easy on the go. I paid the monthly service of ~$10 which is worth it. There are 5 practice tests that have 110 questions. It also has a spot from questions you got wrong for you to practice. AND it also has specific chapters which is fantastic!! It’s like the milday pro practice but in an app with REAL explanations instead of repeating the question at you. Highly suggest it. And if you do buy tests I suggest doing the monthly deal. ✓ Great study toolThis app is an amazing study tool for anyone who is in the esthetics industry or even beginners! I like how the categories are sectioned off, the only down side is that some of the grammar on the questions and how they are worded is off or doesn’t make sense, this can cause the question to be misleading at times but that’s nothing a little extra revision won’t help!.Version: 1.9.0

✓ Texas State Board.I love this app. Before purchasing I didn’t feel confident to take my state board test, and honestly I was suspicious of the app in general, but when I purchased the monthly subscription I was glad. I’ve learned a lot, and I appreciate the test and the explanations. I do wish the app would update and circulate the questions, or add more, because after so long of going over the same 10 or so tests I’d like to be challenged Just a tad more. ✓ Culturally InsensitiveWhile this app has been helpful with test practice seeing the content written using different vocabulary from my textbook. The term used to describe African American skin was “black” skin while the term used to describe Caucasian skin wasn’t “white” skin. All other subgroups were described by using their geographical location. I feel the questions were culturally insensitive to those of the African American race. “Black” skin covers quite a few ranges on the Fitzpatrick scale..Version: 1.9.0

✓ Good app to study withI’m not going to lie, I was kind of skeptical about using this app because I thought I wasn’t going to pass my esthetics exam. I recently been using the app for 2-3 weeks prior to my exam date. I PASSED MY ESTHETICS STATE BOARD EXAM!! Despite me graduating from the Esthetician program almost a year ago. This app has helped me study so much for the exam. All I needed was a refresher on what I learned in school. I knew most of the answer and I like how it shows you what answers you got wrong. It also gives you the answer with the description. The spelling of some Q&A of this app is a little off but as long as you understand it , It doesn’t matter. ✓ USE THIS APP!!!I have taken medical exams and have passed first time and gotten nation wide certifications. For some reason the esthetician exam is SO HARD. I personally think the content is outdated that we received in school. I even purchased practice test exams from the official website. I used all my given materials from school and failed the test 2 times (by 1-3 points) I scheduled the third test but I was telling myself I absolutely could not fail again. Thankfully I met another esti who told me about this app. I used this app and everything about it from the questions, language used etc. I just had a good feeling it was going to work for me too. I did have a text book, but a lot of the stuff isn’t very expressive. I.e- client comes in with said issue, has this medical condition.. what do you not do sort of questions. ✓ Top choice for esthetician exam prep!In addition to my standard Milady textbook, forget to study it at your own peril, I considered all the extra study options I could find because I was determined to pass the written exam even with my memory issues. Because you will receive a random test which can be one of many versions the testing centers use, I wanted to be as thoroughly prepared as possible. I tried a few other apps that were just ok, then discovered Esthetician Exam Center. EEC delivered the most realistic, comprehensive and current testing info available, cross platform. I read that the highly experienced esthetician who created the app is also an educator who worked for “Milady”, the publisher of the Standard Esthetic and Cosmetology textbooks. If you’re serious, get the $9.99 unlimited version and take as many of the exams as you have time for over and over. I did that and am certain that is what pushed my knowledge retention over the edge. This crew is dedicated. I asked a question of the app developer and had a response within an hour. On a Sunday. ✓ RecommendedI took and passed my exam today and am now licensed! I know this app helped (just get all the exams for the $9.99- completely worth it), but I couldn’t say how much. The test I took today was worded so differently and used such different language from the questions in this app. However, to be fair, it was incredibly different from Milady too. So frustrating. I did see one answer to a question on the app that was completely wrong and even the description of the answer was wrong so if you see something that isn’t right look it up and trust yourself. ✓ Helpful but not 100% correctI’m enjoying the ease and fun of the testing and variety of questions. However be aware there are some things wrong. Spelling errors and ANSWERS. Luckily I’m far enough along to know but they also give you the explanation which states the correct answer. So it seems just simple human errors when app was created.
