✓ Good, but gets stressful.I don’t normally write reviews, but this game has really become a pain. It gets really frustrating how I’ve started being matched with players that I simply cannot contest with. The game is pretty good. It’s fun starting out, but then when you get to some of the higher levels or even lower, you could be matched with someone who pays to win or simply has much higher stats than you. Normally if I felt like it I would play like one match, but oddly enough, after that one match, the next matches are normally bad matchmaking. When you literally can’t make it to the other side of the court because the other player was able to shoot the ball across in just a couple seconds, it doesn’t matter if you’re moving as soon as you hit the ball. The game has a lot of potential, but it appears to be a ‘pay to win’ game. There are also weird glitches that come out of nowhere. That and the fact that I don’t want to spend much money on this game just mean that I should delete it because I normally can’t compete, and that is exactly what I’m going to do after writing this review. ✓ This is the absolute worst game ever createdThis is absolutely a pay-to-win type of game. I’ve put in a lot of play time to try and develop my characters without paying for anything and have gotten my score up to 250 but as soon as I hit that I come across so many bugs and impossibly good opponents who have so many things going in their favor. A couple examples are that every time I hit a forehand/back hand shot the game somehow pauses so there character can get there, yet when they hit the same shot my character doesn’t even have the option to react to their shots and they hit winners every single time. When the ball comes toward me I tap the screen to move my player but my player doesn’t react at all. And when they hit volley shots it seems as though they are so perfectly placed every time, they just dip right over the net and I have absolutely no chance to return them even when I’m up playing at the net, too. And the states are all wrong, sometimes I get opponents who have a level 3 volley or forehand/backhand yet I have a 20 in those same categories yet they can hit and place shots that I can’t even try to hit. I’m sure the developers don’t care about any of its players as this game has been downloaded by so many that they’re now too rich to care, but this user interface is some of the worst I’ve ever seen in a sports mobile game..Pioneerman47Version: 1.17.1

✓ Good Potential, Easily abused mechanicsThe games core playing system is very good, very satisfying and requires skill and practice to get use. However the game currently is very floored. 90% of the tome the rally’s won’t go last 2 shots as it is almost impossible to reach the 2nd return. The game puts a lot of emphasis on moving the playing into position but the moving mechanics are very clunky and not instant. Sometimes when the ball lands perfectly for you to hit the game will decide that the player needs to dive for it which effectively loses that rally. Serving also is easily abused as you can simply play a drop shot which cannot be return if they are standing at the baseline and if they come forward to protect against it you just hit an ace. As most other reviews say, there is a wall against progression very early on unless you spend a lot of money. The amount of coins needed to upgrade is not realistic. ✓ Most unbalanced game I’ve ever playedWhen I first started playing this game I thought it was the best tennis game currently on the App Store and was a lot better than the other old outdated games but after playing for about three days the game gets impossible without spending money. I’ve never played a game with such unfair matchmaking, i verse people that just smash winners constantly no matter how good I place or hit the ball. It’s an extremely rigged game which is extremely pay to win. The thing I was actually really looking forward to playing this game heaps and progressing through the game but it has shown to be completely impossible after about 4 days of gameplay, the only way it is possible is if you buy large amounts of gems and buy better cards. ✓ Game is fun but is design flawedFirst off this is a really fun game but it should have had much more thorough testing before it was released. Player upgrades cost way too many coins to achieve in a reasonable amount of time. My opponents sometimes will have bad connections so ball will glitch in mid air and then all of a sudden in the blink of an eye they have magically hit it back at me and i missed it and they win the point. Also, when being paired to play against my opponents, i keep getting paired with players who’s stats are out the roof so tell me how i am suppose to have even the slightest chance of winning or just even simply having a decent match. Also, games including this one need to offer more without the users having to spend tons of (actual) money to buy the upgrades in the game. I have never and will never spend my actual money to buy ios game credits and these game designers need to keep this in mind more often when designing these phone games. No matter how much you spend or how good your attributes are it doesn’t give you an advantage whatsoever, They say this game is based around timing and ball positioning on the court when none of these things matter. i can hit a critical shot to a corner and someone with max agility and can jog over to it and hit is back stronger then what i did with no critical shot. ✓ ReviewThis game is really fun but the problem is that I get this game and the bags have a slot of 4 and take like 4-8 hours to open and I ignore that since I play for fun but no. If you don’t get bags and you don’t get money then you can never win. ✓ Could be one of the best games on iPhone BUT..Why are you constantly matched with players you have absolutely no chance of winning or even having a fair game with? To get you to spend money.. You could only ever progress or even win a lot if you spent a lot of money, so just like real life this is a game for the rich. I wouldn’t even mind, I would actually spend a fair bit on the game IF it wasn’t set up like this. I don’t mind supporting devs and in fact I pay on almost all games I play, but I refuse to spend more than £10 because of the way they have set this up. Why not just match people fairly and then let them spend to level up if they want to, people will spend. ✓ Sometimes fun but mostly frustratingThis game can be fun but the problem is the better your player gets the more the game gives you bad matchups many against bots that are not real players. You are often also matched up against players that are equal to you but they can make amazing plays on the ball that your player cannot possibly make and even if you have the same racket that the other player has. Of course, the purpose of this, like other sports games out there, is to make you spend more money. The introduction of the energy drink option in a recent upgrade is ridiculous and really nonsensical and it only makes me want to play the game less. I’ll still play occasionally but not like I was at the beginning because again, there’s a fix to the game and the only way out of it is a spend a ton of money. I actually did spend some money and although my player got better so did all the other competition I had to play to the point that it’s very difficult to win any matches now. ✓ Great game with poor matchingThe game play was amazing, graphics are great, and controls are so intuitive. The problem comes from the moronic matching algorithm and the pay to play structure that ruins most good games these days. Your pairings are based on your trophies, and not your overall stats, so if you rise through the ranks too quickly, you end up playing people with 20+ more stats than you. And while 5 or 10 is still a pretty fair match, consistently being paired against people who can play like garbage and still beat you is infuriating. The other thing that’s dumb is that your rewards for winning matches are delayed so that you have to spend money or wait 3,8, or 12+ hours to get them. This wouldn’t be the end of the world if their pairings meant that you could easily soldier on playing against similarly powered players. But it doesn’t. Instead you end up losing against people who can track down every shot you hit, overpower you at every turn and just generally destroy you in every category. It’s like playing against Roger Federer, only someone blew your leg off with a shotgun right before your match. All so you can wait a few more hours for your bags to “unlock”. Every 2 weeks it gets updated the change the gameplay, so you need to relearn how to play again, which normally can take up to a week, and involve a substantial loss of coins. But luckily they have put some thoughts in it, and you can buy more coins with real money!! Great !! They have recently change the way skill cards work, so you need now hundreds more cards to update you players, which it can take months or (surprise surprise) a credit card !! Amazing. Each player has a stamina that logically decrease when you play or run back and forward, but it runs out so fast that you end up playing the last couple of points really slowly, you basically walking instead of running. Like in real life (no wait ..!!??). But hey don’t worry because if you still haven’t put your credit card away you can purchase some strings that magically give you a stamina shield, so you don’t get tired. First is agility, this is the only stat that really matters and is very difficult to attain with cash payments. ✓ ScamYou’ll play great for a while, then after you have about 12,000 coins and don’t use them, you will find yourself facing players 1.5 times your level with the same number of trophies. On the last 6 occasions I faced players with a forehand ranked lower than mine yet my play let always had a reactive shot for no reason. It’s clearly set up to keep spending money. The unlockables are so few and far between to upgrade your character that by the time you spend upgrading the equipment you have, you’ll suddenly find a new piece that will have slightly lower or the same attributes you just spent hours upgrading, that you’ll be forced to switch to that one so that you can upgrade that new piece further. It’s unbelievably unfair. The only skills required is to put your credit card number down. I twice had a video to double the coins I had won, yet after the video did not receive the coins. I wrote to customer support, no answer. Frankly I could care less because I didn’t buy anything but I feel bad for those who lost money spending just to find themselves in the same position as I mentioned above. ✓ Prioritises spending a lotThe game is quite fun to begin with, but as you progress, you will be required to pay a lot, mainly because things are really expensive in this game, a single meaningful transaction would be around AUD 160. And like many have said, the matchmaking goes wild after you reach a certain rank, you get opponents who are crazily above your attributes and you end up having no in-game coins to continue. Which then requires you to spend more money if you want to improve your attributes to continue playing. I’d say, if you have the money to spend, then this game certainly is a good game, because once you’ve reached a certain player attribute, then it comes down to player skill. ✓ MatchmakingI thought I was falling in love with the game until I started getting matched with people that literally move around the court like they’re gliding on ice and smashing the ball back to u as u crawl slower than a snail and in most cases don’t make it to the ball and in the other case there are two parts. Either you manage to barely make it there and volley the ball causing you to put yourself in an energy draining situation until you meet your demise OR you get there in time to hit the ball comfortably only to volley the ball anyway no matter how hard you hit it within legal bounds. I’ll have a clear slam and win situation in front of me only to volley the ball and watch my opponent skip happily over to it and turn the tides because, remember, uneven matchmaking. I’m asking myself is there something I’m doing wrong but when I do the training, I hit the ball fast in the direction I want but when it’s time to smash the ball in game, I can be in the best placement with suits energy and and hit the ball with enough force to where it should be a smash but will still volley the ball giving up my potential point. However it’s ruined by extortionate prices for in game purchases, which you will most likely have to resort to paying if you want to progress. It would take you a lifetime 5 times over to get your player and your collective items to the highest level if you were to never pay. ✓ Fun but massively flawedI’ll start by giving this game a lot of praise because it is fun and addictive. But then it goes down hill pretty quickly: 1. The amount of bugs and lags in each update is staggering. The game is CONSTANTLY freezing. This happens a lot when the opponent serves, the ball freezes mid-air and then by the time it unfreezes you get aced. They’ll claim it’s a wifi and connectivity issue but that’s BS as it doesn’t happen on my other games. I’ve now lost about a dozen matches due to this issue and it’s beyond frustrating. 2. This game is great for the first week, but once you move into the upper levels, if you’re not paying for offers and bags where your player needs specialty cards to advance their skills, you will not keep up with the competition and will lose. It’s literally impossible. You’re in the beginner rounds and your opponent has 10x the advantage on you in every category because they clearly paid. 3. The customer service is horrendous. I’ve tried submitting numerous notes about the lag/freezing and it goes nowhere. The issue is that as soon as you get to that point, it basically becomes pay to win. Regardless of your skill, if you have better gear you practically will win every time. On the tours, I kept getting people 2x and even 3x my overall skill level. Only until after the point, I was running to the shot that the opponent hit on my side. The tutorial is pointless, because no matter how hard or how soft I hit the ball, as long as my opponent is slightly stronger, it just flies off the court or slows down completely. ✓ Fun but Flawed...I’ve been playing the game for a couple weeks now, and it has been my go-to mobile game for killing downtime. The game is fun, don’t get me wrong; they have the core mechanics down well. The problems come in when you look at balancing matchups and collecting “gear” to power up your player. I cannot speak for others, but I keep getting the same few items over and over from bags. This would be fine because you can use the cards to upgrade the gear you already have... however, it costs an absorbent amount of coins to do so, and the only way to win coins is to play others, which is a gamble in of itself. The matchmaking can be extremely one-sided, which gets frustrating at times. Ideally, there should be more ways to earn coins, such as playing against A.I. or something. Additionally, the daily challenges are way to difficult to complete, and some of them require you to spend a heap of gems to finish. This, and the overpriced shop, make the game come off as pay-to-win, which is a shame. All things considered, it’s a fun game to kill some time with, but don’t get seriously into it unless you got some money to burn. At first, the game is an absolute blast. The swiping mechanics are simple to learn, leveling up stats becomes strategic and entertaining, and leveling up through the tours is very addicting. After a certain point, however, the flaws begin to show. Matchmaking becomes INCREDIBLY unbalanced—9 times out of 10 you’ll be paired with someone who is well above your skill level and sends serves sailing past you without a chance to return. After Tour 3 or 4, leveling up items becomes nearly impossible unless you’re willing to wait days/weeks on bags, or spend upwards to $100 for coins, gems and king-sized bags. ✓ Matchmaking is broken and everything takes too longThis game is great for the first few minutes but then it suddenly comes to a halt and you have to wait 3 to 8 hours for any upgrades to happen and the matchmaking is appalling, making you not want to play as it’s impossible to win against people with triple your stats. It also appears way too money grabbing, to the point that they don’t care if it sacrifices the quality of experience. There is no way to get gems in the game apart from waiting hours for a pack and the rare cards are poorly picked, giving you a massive imbalance of skills, to the point where you need to get cards to upgrade but you don’t want them because it makes your player too biased in one direction (ridiculous forehand or ridiculous agility but not shot power). ✓ A Love-Hate RelationshipI’m really torn on this game. On one hand, it’s really addictive and, when it’s working, a lot of fun to play. On the other hand, while they’re constantly updating the app, it feels like a lot of bugs are getting through. On my iPhone XR, it freezes up often (not responding to swipes) on launch, and games sometimes freeze mid-volley, as well, leaving players to decide whether they want to forfeit or hang out until the other player cries “mercy” and leaves. It’s not uncommon to come across an overpowered player who can seemingly jump from one side of the court to the other while ball is frozen in mid-air. I don’t know if people are cheating, but even with the upgraded strings (which do improve performance a lot) my characters don’t ever have these abilities. After my first 10-15 games, I was constantly being matched against players 2x to 3x my skill level. The result was me getting obliterated every match and getting frustrated. It’s really not right when I am put up against an opponent who can blast the ball at the speed of light while my player is crawling slower than a snail trying to make a return. It is pvp only and has a level system for skill points and it starts matching you with people that have quadruple your skill points. You have to get gold to level up your skills. The reason for this is the money is double or nothing games but the trophies for ranking are you get more for winning and lose less for losing a game. The update mentions “ ball trajectories are now more realistic” this is not true. They removed the ability to have a long rally. It’s just who has the highest ability to hit the ball harder. They removed the ability to hit a surprise drop shot. Balls flying high in the sky with high ball bounce on almost every drop shot which is not realistic. Also they have still not updated the issue of using gems to purchase bags and you only continue to get cards on items your maxed out on. A complete total scam and rip off about this game. But I must say even with the scam card issue. I still enjoyed playing the game because of its competition and competitiveness. But with this new update and just how awful it is. In real tennis, it is far easier to return a shot in the same direction in which it came than to change the direction, and the game doesn’t seem to account for that whatsoever. ✓ Need to fix their algorithmI understand needing to balance helpful tools for players - strings, etc - with making the game fair for both players - the developer wants to earn revenue from the upgrades, but when the upgrades are used by one player and not the other, a preordained winner and loser are created. The developer unfortunately has not found that balance - I know almost from the first point whether I will lose or win a particular game, so when it becomes clear the other player had upgraded weapons - a serve that it unreturnable for example because they are using an upgraded tool and I am not, I simply quit right away because why play when you have no chance of winning a point never mind a game. The recent attempt to fix this issue has actually made it worse - this could be an amazing game - the graphics are lovely and when playing another player on equal footing, strategy does come into play and it’s fun. Their only tactic is running to the net after every serve and hit volleys which basically win every point. ✓ Tennis crashAbsolutely stupid game. Pay to win is extremely obvious. Winn/loss rate is probably 1/20. You are capped to low stats playing against players who aren’t capped or if they are the are under different rules. Cap reason is to make you pay as you are capped on all unlocked levels (all the way to the top one) not only on lower level tournaments. You lose lots of game money to gather incredible little points for increasing stats then it is pointless because you cannot use the extra stats you have to play months for cause you’re capped and they are taken away from you. In the rare occasions you have slightly better stats they invented the signature move so you’re screwed again as stats don’t matter too much. The entire game concept is bad as when you play against a better opponent your player behaviour changes (no matter how hard you swing, the ball barely makes it to the net) so there is no way to get used to your player power or speed as it keeps changing. Game keeps reloading on important points in the middle of the rallies. Server unresponsive when searching for opponents returns errors and waiting times before the error can last over 30 seconds. And the list of bad things could keep going forever. Best feature, the forfeit command. Complete loss of time this game. Will remember Wildlife studio name and never download any game from them as they don’t have the programming knowledge to come up with anything acceptable. ✓ Time gating and other problemsThe progression and time gating on this game make it borderline unplayable because after several matches you get stuck waiting for upgrade bags to open because those bags are your progression.
