✓ Bio and English studentI first came here for quick help but spooned learned that the tutors are not that good. There are some rare finds and save the tutors that actually care about your work! Most of the reviews are not accurate or specific enough on work ethic and personality and I wish there was an average rate per tutor because some want 10 others want 70 and it always comes as a shock. Don’t get me started on the advertising. If you can’t afford it don’t make me do it and lie… The app says share to three people get 30 dollers and I shared to WAY MOre And it never works. Compared to all the other tutoring apps this is still the best I just wanted to let y’all know some flaws..Version: 2.2.5
✓ Not paid & no support response for 17 days!If I could rate this as 0 stars, I would. I’m a tutor & haven’t gotten paid in 17 days. Nothing from support, either, despite phone calls, texts, & emails. I reported a scammer, emailed Kadama Support immediately after. What happens? The person gives me a 1 star review. Auto generated email tells me I’ve had too many negative reviews - that one person was the only one. It came thru right after I reported. Auto reply tells me to reply to that email to appeal AND I have to keep helping my current students, denied access to any new clientele. Happy that I can help my existing clients, but have received NO PAY!!! And no follow up on Appeal!!! Do NOT tutor for this company unless you want to work for free and get NO responses from support!.Version: 2.4.3

✓ Difficult for Tutors, More like FiverHey all, so I created a tutor account for Kadama because I wanted to actually teach people. But it’s more for answering questions & writing students’ assignments, rather than teaching students to gain understanding to get to that solution. That being said, it’s great for those looking for a Chegg/Fiver type platform. I wouldn’t call this platform so much for “tutoring” though. If you want to get started I think it’s necessary to get the $20 background check, which I didn’t do — so it was extremely difficult for me to get students to respond and engage with me. Once again, I do recommend for Chegg/Fiver services! But I think the title of “tutoring” is misleading. Thanks so much!.Version: 1.9.9
✓ Honestly.Changing my review. Before, I’ve rated the app 5 stars. But now the app is just ugh. If you’re trying to contact kadama support, they’ll probably never respond. I’ve texted, emailed, many times and I STILL haven’t gotten a response (keep in mind that this was WEEKS ago). There are many scams, students who don’t even pay you, and the payout schedule is awful and uncoordinated. I received a total of 5 payments from students. All made from the 6th to the 10th of January. It’s the 24th and TWO of those payments have still not been deposited to my bank account. IN FACT, it’a not even showing up in my “earnings” in the app. This is unbelievable. I don’t know, but it really sounds like kadama didn’t count two of those payments and just stole the money I earned..Version: 1.8.9
✓ Absolutely TerribleThe support service is unresponsive. I mean, just terrible. Their website doesn’t have any phone number, and the text and email they provide to contact support does not respond at all. It is very difficult to find students, and 99% of them never respond to you. I even had one student give me a bad rating even though they never contacted me. And support does not even respond, so I’m left helpless. I’ve never gone out of my way to write a bad review, but these issues call for one. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that you NOT join Kadama, especially as a tutor. I hope the service department gets better, coz Kadama has potential conceptually. But for now, things couldn’t be worse. ✓ Bad appIf I could give it zero stars I would. They have a lot to work on with this app. From the tutors point of view it’s hard to make money because the students request help and are never willing to actually pay you to help them. Next, there are alot of tutors so the competition is heavy and it’s hard to even get kids to help. There needs to be some kind of system to make sure everyone gets helped, and everyone gets paid. Also, most of the kids I have came in contact with were literally asking me to do the work for them instead of helping them which is what I signed up for. I had one girl ask for me to write her entire college application essay for her (750 words) for $10. If you’re using this app as a source of income, you’d be better off going to get another job. And if you’re actually passionate about helping kids, this isn’t the app for that either..Version: 1.8.7

✓ Unhelpful LiarsI applied to be a tutor through the Kadama app at the beginning of February, which was over a month ago. When I submitted my application, it said that there was a delay and that they would get back to me in a few days. Two weeks passed and I had not heard anything and it still said my application was being processed. I decided to reach out to the Support team but never heard anything. As of right now, it has been a month of silence. I have sent three emails asking about my application with no responses and I have sent messages on TikTok (which were read), Instagram, and Twitter. I have never gotten a response. The Support team (if it even exists) is terrible. I even decided to try texting Support (which is an option if you contact them through the app) and got an automated response saying it would be 5-7 days before I am helped. The whole Kadama team is full of liars and people who claim to want to help others but never do. This is a horrible company and app..Version: 2.4.0

✓ SCAM: Severe Lack of Admin HelpI was a tutor on this app, but there is no help from these people. Kadama used to take 15% commission from every assignment they do. Now it’s double the commission at 30% with no explanation as to why. That, with my taxes, made half of what I charged being what I could actually save/spend. On top of that, I paid $35 for a verification on my account to be able to attract more clients. However, even after months, it says “pending verification.” I’ve contacted them about these issues multiple times, and they never respond. That’s why I quit this app. I should’ve just done some under the table deals via venmo, even if that’s against their policy, which also states that we can contact admin for issues. Clearly they violate that. These people should be ashamed of riding the fame and the money. They don’t understand how much work is put in to get paid, only for half of it to go to other people. I know taxation is also similar in that sense, but this company changes rules faster than a kid asking you to think a number they’re thinking of..Version: 2.4.7
✓ Not Great for TutoringThe app was ok as a tutor, but it is mostly doing work for the students rather than actually helping them or teaching them anything. It takes a large cut of your earnings and customer service is absolutely horrible with responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner. Payments also take forever to process. With the new update, you can’t mention communication outside of the app without potentially getting suspended/banned altogether. I made some decent money when I first started but it’s not worth the hassle now, specifically because I’m a student myself and don’t have much time to work on other peoples work for them..Version: 2.0.0

They also collect all your informations and likely use it for profit. This is part-owned by a Russian multi-millionaire tech mogul who has very little ethics about data privacy and other issues like this. Not only this but KADAMA support is the worst responding support team you can meet. If you have a problem with a tutor good luck getting a response within the 2-day guarantee. Likely will scam you out of your money, your time, your phone number and email, and personal information like your location. ✓ Lots of bots; unhelpful and unprofessional support teamIf you are looking to work as a tutor on here—good luck! Majority of the “students” on this app are bots who constantly flood the task tab and a lot of students tend to try and override the payment policy, making it very difficult to even find possible tutoring gigs. Reached out and complained to support about this; all they did was send me a SCREENSHOT FROM THEIR PERSONAL IPHONE with the already known terms and agreements and never got a response to the actions they took regarding multiple incidents regarding transactions. Totally unprofessional, not trustworthy. There are a ton of great tutors out there, and none of our services are being used because of the bots and and the way Kadama handles payments. 💀 STAY AWAY!.Version: 1.7.5
✓ No real tutoring happeningI signed up to use this app as a tutor and just had a really hard time dealing with it. The VAST majority of students are just looking for someone to do their homework for them, despite Kadamas existing anti-academic dishonestly rules. Too many tutors on this app (according to student users) aren’t actually qualified and are just looking to make a few dollars by completing homework questions for students. One out of 30+ students that I contacted was looking for actual help with an assignment vs someone to complete the assignment for them. Unless Kadama comes up with a better way to enforce these rules and a better way to confirm the qualifications of Kadama tutors, I’ll find it hard to continue using this app as a tutor..Version: 2.0.6

✓ Horrible customer serviceI got the app 2 weeks ago and everything was fine it was well deciles and it worked perfectly fine. I was working with a ton of students and i loved it! BUT after those 2 weeks my account got deleted by administrators. I have never scammed anyone, have always been as friendly as possible even to the rude students, and was always on time. The ONLY time I can think of being rude is when middle schoolers were flirting and I quickly said that was inappropriate which might have resulted in them reporting me and getting deleted but I highly doubt that. So, there would be NO real reason to ban me from the app. I've contacted kadama support through text 5 times over the past week and haven't gotten any response, i've contacted support through email 3 times in the past 3 days and haven't gotten a response, and I even went to twitter to see if I could get a response there and didn't. They didn't send a warning or reason anywhere as to why my account was terminated but instead deleted my account in the middle of me helping a student with homework AFTER they had already paid! So now i'm forced to never give this girl her homework after she paid me to do it all because of kadama. This is my last resort to get a response!.Version: 1.9.0

✓ Amazing (Edit: customer service is bad)KADAMA is a great app. I originally started using it because I need help on review questions for a competition. The tutor was great and had reasonable pricing. Many of the tutors are very nice and listen to your needs. There are many tutors as well so if you disagree on pricing with a tutor, just ask another one! My only problem is that KADAMA is sometimes slow but it’s not a huge deal. I love it and use it often. Edit: I like the app itself a lot so that’s why it used to be 5 stars. However, I have been waiting for over two weeks for customer service and no reply. The reason I need to contact customer service is not a big deal (I just won a gift card and I need to talk to customer service to actually get it). I’m just upset that I got no reply at all. NOTHING. I occasionally send emails like “Please help me” “Please reply” but I don’t get a reply at all. Unless you have a major problem, I don’t recommend going to customer service for a small problem like getting a gift card..Version: 2.2.8
✓ Kadama is HorribleAt first, I had a 5/5 experience as a tutor working on the app. I got approved to work on it pretty quickly until recently when I decided to go back on the app to work, it required tutors to take a new writing quiz, which I completed and the app has been saying “we will review your quiz within 24-48 hours” for a whole month. I contacted support via email, text, and left multiple voice mails with absolutely no response. I even found the CEO’s Instagram in which he provided a link that anyone can use to book an appointment with him. He charges $50 per 15 minutes, crazy right? But that’s not the worst part. I paid the $50 and he cancelled the appointment. I tried rebooking and he cancelled it the second time almost immediately. Scam..Version: 2.4.3

✓ Do NOT work here as a tutorI wouldn’t recommend tutoring on this app. Kadama takes a ridiculous chunk of money from you (30% a transaction if you want to message more than three students a day — which they never disclose in the beginning!). Support NEVER responds. It is impossible to issue students a refund via text or email to support. I had a student give me one star (the rest all five stars) because I wouldn’t do free work for him and he lied on the review. I tried contacting support several times. Then I got an email saying I’m at risk of suspension because of lying kid and I can appeal the star. I opted to appeal, and was ghosted! Never made any progress with it because SUPPORT IS NON-EXISTENT. This company is an absolute joke. Good luck to anyone who wants to work for this trash can of a company where they rip off your money and leave you out to dry..Version: 2.4.0
