✓ Kinda annoying when the computer decides when its a draw/stalemateThere’s times when I don’t want to beat the cpu just yet by getting more pawns to the top to make into queens etc, and when the game decides its a stalemate etc its frustrating because it doesn’t show as a win on my scorecard. Please change this or make it a setting where I can disable the game from deciding when its a stalemate or a draw. Otherwise great game, smooth play, soothing game music 5 stars for everything. ✓ Real ChessReal Chess came after Pure Chess which was once available for iOS from the AppleStore. It is adequate for learning moves but the computer does repeat its moves if you continue your same starts. Depending on your experience, you may have a different perspective on what side you choose to play. It’s good nonetheless. Though if you once purchased Pure Chess, like aforementioned, it has been taken off the iOS Apple listing and been replaced with Real Chess. Same visual dynamics. ✓ Too many advertsThe game it’s self I really enjoy, the 3D visuals are great, however it takes 5 minutes to load a game there are SO MANY adverts before and in between games it takes forever to actually play consistently. ✓ As good as you could ask forNice graphics and movement animations. Also nice stats and leaderboard. Ads are easy to close (max 5seconds and visible “x” or “close” and are only before and after a game. Only negative is that the difficulties go from “easy- normal- medium- hard” which is shooting fish in a barrel easy and then there is only a minutia of difference between normal and hard. Algorithm or what ever needs a little tweaking. Maybe I’m just not skilled enough to notice enough of a gradual incline in difficulty. Other than that; would recommend..Version: 1.23
✓ Very relaxingThe CPU is catered to all skill sets, so you can play as casually or seriously as you’d like. I love that it has a local two-player mode. The background music is serene and soothing. The graphics are beautiful for a mobile game. I love that you can customize the table and game pieces but I wish there were more options and an outside option like you’d see with tables in a park. It’s also incredibly affordable to remove ads. No matter how experienced a chess player you are, this is the game for you..Version: 1.23

✓ Good but can be improvedEnjoying this game after downloading it a couple of days ago. BUT! It would be really good when playing against the CPU that the stalemate - draw doesn’t happen so quickly. Or maybe even a button at the bottom to request draw when it is heading towards a stalemate. It is quite frustrating when trying to win the game and suddenly it’s a draw and no more moves allowed. ✓ Great... EXCEPT!!!Everything about this game is terrific... except the issue that easy and normal have a huge gap. Easy is as advertised; fun but the computer is easily beaten. Normal, however, is actually difficult. Have done equal/better on medium setting, which should be harder than normal (according to the scroll bar). Normal CPU is playing almost mathematically perfect, which is not “normal” if you are playing average friends where you sin some/ose some. It is good training perhaps, but not being able to go backwards several moves does not allow you to learn about how the computer set you up. The AI is good; it is interesting to watch the CPU player set up moves and traps. Every time I think the computer made a mistake in normal mode... I find out very quickly it did not and I did! Please make normal a little more even and make medium the current normal. Everything else about this game (look, feel, controls) is super..Version: 1.23

However, somethings, it can improve on, is an online multiplayer feature for to people in their skill level and a way to save gameplays for analysis. ✓ Good but can be improvedThe game has an interesting idea but it doesn’t follow through well. Real chess 3D is a high quality chess game but it can be improved by making more accurate game modes. Easy is WAYY to easy they basically leave their pieces for you to take. Normal is much harder than it should as they quickly drive you back and force you into checkmate on the left side of the board, I’ve played it twice first time draw second time win. I haven’t played the harder difficulties yet but if you fix easy to make it harder and make normal easier I will then give five stars ⭐️.Version: 1.27

✓ Excellent, Fantastic Chess game.This is the best Chess games out there in the App Store. You feel like you are playing in a 3D virtual world against either the CPU or other players. What’s great about it are the levels of play plus the extra component for lessons and learning chess. The only glitch is when castling, this must be fixed, when you choose black and are castling it says Castling by Will not my name. Please fix. Also it would be great if while playing the game either against the CPU or someone else , there should be automated assistant to give hints or suggestions on better moves. The music is peaceful and soothing. Now recently I have issues with ads, some do not clear taking the enjoyment out of the game. Also a Japanese game in Japanese letters only popped up. There was no way to exit out of the game and get out of it. I had to restart my iPhone. Both phones are running on IOS 15.2. ✓ I reccomend this app!I really like this app! There is nothing wrong about it! I love this app! I read the reviews and it says that “I can not move my king” and other related reviews. Really, the game is just stopping you from making a wrong move. The diffuculty levels make sense but easy is very easy. In easy mode, the bot eats anything it can. I use pawns as bait to get me in a better situation. The only thing that is wrong about this game is that I keep on tapping the wrong tile. There is an undo button so that is not really a problem. Some reviews say they can not move my king but that is so you do not make a wrong move. This also goes with other pieces. For example: if your knight is on c2, your king is on d1, and the other person’s bishop is on a4, you can not move your knight or else you lose. I like how you can play with a bot and how you can play with someone next to you! The graphics are very good and the chess board is customizable! I would reccomend it if you want a 2D or 3D offline chess game!.Version: 1.22

✓ Excellent 3D + 2D adjustable display, basic chess AppI like the clean sharp board rendition with an uncluttered display. The 4 levels of difficulty are adequate, but even the Hard level only thinks for less than 10 seconds (approx) and I really hope this level will be increased by allowing a longer compute or thinking time in any future update, ( say 30 to 60 seconds) Lastly the take back function is limited to 2 ply ( 1 move each side) which is a hinderance when trying out move variations etc. This really should be increased to 8 ply ( 4 moves each side) if possible… I appreciate that writing a chess program isn’t easy as I’ve tried unsuccessfully myself, but the paid for version should really incorporate most of these enhancements and not just be advert free. I will update my score accordingly whenever this should happen. I’m sure this App is more than suitable for learning the basics of Chess, despite my comments …. Update: I stand corrected regarding being able to as Black, I was used to going into the settings option to choose what colour I wanted to play, so my apologies. ✓ DecentIt’s a decent game for when you’re playing with a sibling or a friend, just tap “ 2 player “ , ya have a great time. But the thing that I guess irritates me and is the main problem of the game is the robotic opponent. It’s fun at first but when all the pieces from the other side are gone but the king, and you still have a ton of valuable pieces, the king just keeps moving and avoiding - what I’m trying to say is that it STALEMATES, so whatever you do - you’re just gonna be wasting your time. Its kind of annoying because no matter the difference in amount of pieces, even if the opponent is dodging and weaving and has no intention of winning, it still ends in a draw. I don’t really care about the ads, if you turn off your internet / wifi and play it, it seems to work. Anyways it’s a really nice game overall, Nice graphics, love the calming setting and thankfully all the objects are placed nicely to give my OCD a rest... - XD . I love that the Hard level is difficult yet still beatable even if you don't use the undo button. My only complaints are I would love to be able to review my game after it is over or even save some games for later review also be able to utilize the game clock. ✓ Disregard last email; Glitch?Please forgive and disregard my last email. It was also a bit tedious , as I felt I needed to explain the ruling of Queen Side Castling and En passant. I was able to perform an En passant just last game. The time a player had me in check, I could not apply a Queen Side Castle even though those 2 pieces (rook/king) had not yet moved. Though it is clearly in your ruling, under “Learn Chess”. I would like to understand an early called stalemate though, if so kind? Player had nothing but king and…I believe 2 pawns. I had a king, both rooms, and a pawn right in position for promotion, given a next turn. The game called for a stalemate though, after opponent captured a piece (I don’t quite remember, maybe my last knight) True, checkmating with 2 rooks is a tedious process. But with the king, still possible, always. But worse than that, I had 2 pawns as well, one about to be promoted. Another glitch. Although these few experiences, I’ve enjoyed this version of a mobile chess game. Thank you to all devs and team. Sincerely, A grateful player..Version: 1.25
