✓ Great game, but certain ads...I personally don’t mind the abundance of ads, it’s just how tiny the “x” button is that bothers me a lot. Certain ads, like for “Rise Up” and “Scale” have the regular video ad that you can skip with the “x”. It then takes you to a screen with the question: “what type of player are you?” Or something similar, with 3 different choices. With the “x” being so small and my finger being bigger, it’s difficult to tap the exact spot the “x” is. When I miss it, it takes me to Safari, which asks to go to the App Store, and it continues when I go back to Looper. Overall, it’s a great game with a great idea. I’d give it 5 stars if these specific ads didn’t show up. I don’t mind having an ad play after every level I finish, even though it gets annoying, but it would really be great if you could try to block these specific ads. Thank you!.Version: 1.2.0
✓ Ads! WHY!!!!😡OK OK, I know this has been said like 1 million times already but seriously, too many ads. But I mean really it’s a great game it’s just that they went way overboard with the ads. I mean seriously think about it every time you want to retry you get an ad. Won a level, OK your prize is an ad. I mean seriously, why are there so many ads! Update: I have given the app another chance after 1 year.....same problem. I had my hopes up that they would fix the ad overload by now. I deleted the app AGAIN because of it. ✓ Ads!!!!!!I saw this game on ads on other games, and i thought it was cool so i said let me try it. i started playing and all of a sudden, a 30-second ad popped up in my face. okay, then i played the next level. another ad, weird. i tried again then another ad. i kept playing this game and EVERY TIME I TRIED there was an ad! i know games like these need ads in their game for their developers to make money in another way. but i think these developers went WAY TOO FAR. if you’re a person who likes to watch ads or if you don’t mind ads, i think you would be okay with this. but for me and tons of other reviewers, it’s one of the most annoying things you can find in a game. even so, the ads are longer than the actual amount of time you play the level! i know ppl wanna make money, but cut down on the freakin ads! it’s too much! now i’m gonna delete this game because you ruined it. maybe it there were LESS ADS i would consider re-installing it. i rate this game 2 stars just because of the ads, i would have rated it 4 or 5. can the developers of looper please fix your game..Version: 1.2.8
✓ Can’t tell if this is any good...... but I’d like to. The idea seems good, the look is awesome, though the sounds sometimes not so. The one thing that made me delete this app after 5 levels was the ads. Not because there are too many - I didn’t spend enough time in the app to find out - but because every time there was an ad, the ad itself was never visible, which meant the close button never appeared, so I had to close the app and restart to continue. You spend more time listening to ads you can’t see and restarting the app than you do actually playing it..Version: 1.3.1

✓ USE AIRPLANE MODE TO STOP THE ADSParasitic developers have put in way, way, way, way, way too many ads. This app is about as bad as it gets and their ridiculously exorbitant price to stop those ads is nothing short of extortion. Given this is just an average game at best, it’s by no means worth the unreasonably high price they are demanding. Players can however, use Airplane mode to stop those relentless and intrusive ads. On 24 May 2020 I deleted this app. It’s just my small way of sending a message to the developers that they can shove their blood sucking attempts to extort my money..Version: 1.3.8
✓ Kwalee Ltd- just STOP with the ads!The concept of the game is good- it’s challenging and allows you to finally use all of that geometry, physics and music that you’ve learned-but the way and amount of times in which you are inundated with ads is horrendous! The TYPES of ads are even worse! Listen Kwalee, if this “game” is honestly just one long running ad spree, sparingly sprinkled with gameplay, you will lose customers and the game will faze out. I’m certain that some members of your team must remember playing games and how eager you were to get to the next level or to beat your score, etc... Take a moment and remember yourself and how much you loved games, would THAT version of you want to continue playing a game that stopped letting you have fun for the sake of money and greed? ✓ You like playing games? Too badThe actual concept of the game is absolutely worthy of like 50 cents a download, but no. They make it “free” and then have an in-game purchase for like 3 bucks that makes it so that you don’t actually have to play the game to get cool stuff, you can just buy it. It also gets rid of ads, which isn’t worth it. But the thing that just ruins the entire game is the ads. You lose a level, you get an ad. You win a level, you get an ad. You even open the game, and you get an ad. Like, Jesus fricken Christ it’s like trying to drink water on a massage chair, or trying to stay healthy eating McDonald’s. It just makes the game unplayable, and in a sense, just a bad game. Overall I’d rate the game itself a 4, but then it instantly drops to a 1 because of how many ads there are. Whether progressing to a new level, restarting a level, or simply going back to the home screen AFTER WATCHING AN AD; another ad! Playing for 5 seconds and then spending 35 seconds watching repetitive ads killed my enjoyment. And $4.50 to remove ads is way too high seeing as I’m already fed up with this game (app is being deleted) and I haven’t gotten far, because of the incessant ads! It’s so annoying because developers like these who don’t care about gameplay advertise their advertisements. THE ADS “DEVELOPERS” MAKE ARE DISGUSTING. For example, Helix Jump. The advertisements are “After 23 tries, I reached lvl 2!!!!!”. Helix jump is super easy and without effort half of the levels I done were 1 attempted, BUT ATLEAST HELIX JUMP DOESN’T FORCE FEED YOU ADS. Let’s talk about gameplay of this game, Looper! Oh wait, I spent more time on mini game ads then the actual game. I don’t know anything about the actual gameplay. The developers don’t care because they never reply to reviews that mention ads, or even read them. Please just fix the ads, and people will play it more, resulting in more money for the developers. ✓ Great game but far too many adsThe games is altogether quite addictive. Makes you think and is fun trying to complete the levels.... Problem is though the amount of ads, ads frequency of change and the fact you win - ad. You lose - ad there’s no in between. I know the argument is pay the £2.99 but the price is steep for removal of ads. Happy to support developers but I think this is far past trying to support themselves. ✓ Amazing,but overboard with the adds!From the comment I read before this, I can tell others may have struggled with this too. How do I start off?, it’s an amazing game yes. It makes you wanna play more and more non stop so it’s amazing but the thing is, it’s too much ads. Every time you win or lose, ad. You win, ad pops up. You lose, ad. I saw the person that I read say something g about the ad helps the developer but it’s just crazy. It triggers you and I had to delete it. I hope there is a possible way for it to not be so annoying. ✓ AdsThis game lasted 3 mins before it became evident that it is merely an ad portal. Subsequently deleted.. Tip for developers: Try less ads next time, more strategically placed throughout progression phases in the game. People will play longer and view more ads in the long run. ✓ Having fun? Watch an ad!TLDR: Gameplay is creative and fun but you get a 30 second ad for every 5 seconds of gameplay. I saw this game from an advertisement from another game that I was playing. I usually don’t find games like that but this one looked like a lot of good fun. And it is! It’s relaxing and fun to just mindlessly play. The only problem is, the amount of ads there are. I see that there are tons of complaints about this already but maybe one more will push them further to change. I’m completely okay with having ads, I didn’t pay for the game, why shouldn’t I have ads? But they take it to a new level. The levels are designed to only take seconds to complete (or fail until you get it). When you finish one you’re very ready for the next! But what do you get? An add that is longer than your gameplay. They should at LEAST be a minute apart! But when you solve a puzzle in 10 seconds then get an ad for 30 seconds, it’s really aggravating. ✓ Too many advertsAnother good idea spoilt by adverts... Gone are the days when you could play a simple demo version to try with a view to buying and give the developers the money they deserve. Now games are in your face with adverts from the get go, and for games with a learning curve it’s so disruptive. ✓ OPPRESSIVE AdsI get it. They’re trying to force you to buy the full version while still making money on ads. I understand almost all free apps have this goal in mind (to some degree) as well... but despite how interesting this game is to me, I literally quit playing after level 4 when I had to experience 2 ADS between each level. The lower levels are very simple. You can finish them in under a minute and that’s being generous. So having to experience an ad between each screen is absolutely ridiculous and instead of enticing me to buy the full version (which I have done for several apps) I became so frustrated that I decided to write my first review. If they value my time and my user experience this poorly why would I want to pay for anything from these people? Why would I want to give anyone money who holds my user experience hostage? ✓ LooperThis is a great game idea, but unfortunately there is a CONSTANT ridiculous amount of adverts. Every time I “die” in this game, an advert pops up. And that’s incredibly annoying considering it’s hard not to “die” as some levels are more difficult than others. ✓ Great game, awful ad/pay structureI absolutely love this game. The music is fantastic and sticks with you, and the game play is engaging and increasingly challenging without being exhausting. I binged the first eight levels during my first play and immediately bought the $2.99 ad removal in-app purchase. When I got to a certain level I started seeing first party ads for the “VIP Membership”. $15/month USD extra. Then I started playing the next day and was met with new ads in the upper corner of some of the screens. Not the ones I paid to remove at the bottom. Apparently for that additional $15/month I can get rid of these too. None of that was made clear when I purchased the ad removal. That feels like a huge money grab. The first couple of rounds were fun and easy.. however, as I started to play more I noticed something very consistent.. ads. There are TONS of ads along this game. It seems as if for every level you pass you must watch an ad to get to the next level.. as you progress you are rewarded with different customizations of the little balls seen in game. ✓ What can I say that hasn’t been said many times before?It’s a fun game, but they have gone way overboard with the ads. A 30 second ad for winning or losing a level gets annoying. That would be like a Mario game where losing a life makes you watch an ad. I get it, developers need money, and ads are a good way to do it when implemented properly. However, that hasn’t been the case, as most of the other reviews say. Personally, I’m at level 58, but the ads have gone insane at this point. It wasn’t bad at the first few levels, but then the amount exponentially increased. The game is great, I love how it uses beats, they add more creativity to the game. ✓ Alright, butThis game is good for music lovers like me. It kills time if it’s just waiting for a bus or in general, just to get rid of boredom. It has got great aspects of it, like for example the customise button, where you can customise your beat. However, is it ruined by one thing? Yes, it is. The thing is ads. I’m stuck on one level, and whenever I restart, I get an ad about a game like “Jelly Shift” or something. I get you developers need your money, but this has ruined the whole game to the point where I might uninstall it. If you can bump it down to maybe 1 ad per each 2-3 games it will be better. ✓ Hard levels, to many ads, to many, beats, to many game freezes, to many levels,Looper is an awesome game but I think that there are to many ads because after like 5 levels I complete, I get an ad which is kinda annoying. Another thing that I wanted to point out is that the levels are IMPOSSIBLE because I’m on level 127 and it’s been over 100 try’s that I tried the level. Also, there are to many beats for each level because I have to get 10 beats on my level without making them collide which is a problem for me. Some levels aren’t like that like level 1 because that’s like the most easiest level out of all of them and I don’t expect it to be hard at all. There are to many levels because it goes up to over 200 STAGES which is going crazy because it’s to much skill to be thinking about. Some levels don’t have that requirement because some are kinda easy like levels 1-50 which is a lot. there are to many game freezes because every 5-8 levels, my game ALWAYS FREEZES which is a problem because I have to swipe it out of my back round which is annoying. ✓ An add after every attempt?This game is very fun or at least it would be if there weren’t as many adds. I don’t normally write reviews for games weather they are good or bad, but this game was so frustrating that I felt I had to warn others. The game itself is really relaxing and satisfying but you spend more time watching adds then you do actually playing the game. And every time you want to change your skin you have to watch an add, plus even retrying the level or going to a new page forces you to watch an add. The adds in addition are like twenty seconds long and by the time it allows you to skip there’s only three seconds left anyway so it’s pointless. ✓ Too many ads!It’s a great game on its own, I think the style and to it and the neon lighting effects are great, but there are waaaaay too many add. It’s basically as bad as the emoji movie, which was just an hour and a half of sponsorships, but soooo much worse. ✓ 20 minutss I'll never get backPlayed the game for a total of about 20 minutes and got bored. The amount of ads I experienced is probably enough for this app to stay on the app store for another year. What is the point of having a prize of a new beat skin but still have to watch an ad to even put it on. ✓ Good Game but glitchesI think the game is brilliant, the music is great and it’s very fun. But with all of this there is an issue. It glitches far to much. ✓ ADS!It is an amazing game and o absolutely love the music but there is one big big prop open which is the ads. They come up all the time and they are also quite long videos that you can’t skip. I have found a solution to the ads problem you just have to turn your WiFi and data off then you don’t get a single ad. I would say this game would be perfect for a long car journey with headphones in and where there is no WiFi and your data is off because the game is very addictive and fun. ✓ Good Game Major ProblemsWhile this game is fun to have for a certain amount of time I start going crazy after a few minutes. It is an add driven game, which makes later levels impossible to operate. I was on level 131 and I was almost positive that the game was purposely slowing down so I couldn't complete the level. I had to watch 4 ads just so I could go on to level 132. I remember having lots of fun with this game but it is feeling more and more like a drag. There is nothing that special about the levels either, there just very repetitive. Also while using the app sometimes I would get an ad and when I try to exit my whole phone freezes. I can’t hit the home button or the turn off button (if that’s what it is called) on my phone. I also can’t operate sound for a good 15 minutes. I realized this is a problem in many ad driven games. ✓ Good game, awful adsI have never typed up a review EVER, usually because i dont care about the game or the problems but this game is different. This is a great game, great idea, great execution. BUT ads ruin it, and before i go further, i know ads are the key to getting money to make the game better, and i dont mind them, you know, an ad every 10 minutes or so isnt a big deal. But this game takes it to a whole new level. There are more ads than actual gameplay. You spend maybe 15-30 seconds on a level, you pass? Ad. You retry? Ad. You get out of it? Ad. ✓ I’d give it 5 stars, but...The good: The game itself is a lot of fun, and it looks fantastic. I love the contrast between the dark backgrounds and bright rainbow colours of the “beats”. It really feels like a lot of care was taken in creating the visual look of the game. It’s simple and easy to understand, but just tricky enough to be the good kind of frustrating and keep you trying to do better, while keeping away from the “rage quit” area. Definitely 4 or 5 out of 5 stars for the game itself. The middling: The 30 second video adverts after every time you fail a level do get tiresome if you’re having trouble getting a level right. If some of them were switched to picture adverts or banners, or they only popped up after every three attempts or so I wouldn’t mind so much, but as it is it feels like there’s more time spent watching adverts than playing. The bad: I did end up deleting the app, not because of the adverts but because it didn’t give an option to opt out of data tracking. I don’t care whether you can opt out from settings after the original pop-up, forcing everyone to agree to it in the first place is scummy.
