✓ DisappointedGreat app...with one glaring flaw: the temperature on the globe screen --which is beautiful, and the major reason I bought this app --is often wildly inaccurate, by as much as 20 degrees! (Not only with respect to other apps, but with its other screen!) The main reason I used it was, when I wake in the night, to not only check the time, but get a quick read on the weather --but when it gives an obviously wrong temperature reading, it's useless! If it can't be fixed, I'd like my money back. Too bad: a reasonably accurate temperature would seem to be an essential requirement in a weather app. Beauty only goes so far..Version: 2.4.4

✓ No User Support... Data Mining?I want to like this app but there’s a problem. There’s a pale third line indicating a temperature on the daily and hourly graphs but I don’t know what it is. This is my only recourse to get support. When attempting to access support on the website I’m prompted login. Since I don’t have an account I tried to create one. I was prompted for a user name and email address only, no password. I verified that I’m not a robot and the data was accepted. When prompted to login I’m asked for a login and password. I was never prompted for a password when creating the account. So what gives? I can’t be the only person who’s encountered this. I’m using an iPhone 6. Other than this snafu I’m pleased with the app but I want to be able to read it properly and the user support has proven useless. Is this a bug in the developers’ latest update? Or is this app just data-mining for email addresses? I’m hoping it’s the former, it’ll be rectified soon and I’ll be notified within a few days. ✓ Both good & badBeautiful weather app; the Earth view with it’s radar is breathtaking. The graph style is my favorite weather presentation, customization and UI are all nice. BUT the weather data source is just terrible. That makes me take 2 stars away; at the end of the day, this is a weather app and if the forecast is wrong than this app is no more than google earth (without the street view). It pains me to give such low rating but I can’t rely on this app. If the data source was weather channel, or AccuWeather, or another reliable source, this app would’ve been a 10 star app for me..Version: 2.8.5
✓ DisappointingI had the previous one off payment paid version for some time. 25 Jan 2019 this changed with an update, I now had to pay Again! Contacted app support they said now yearly sub but as I'd clearly bought as a one off I was sent a code to enter. Got email from Apple code ok but only valid for a year. 8 Dec 2019 further update said to reset purchases, but the update apparently cancelled my code - Apple says "invalid". Emailed developer same day with difficulty as they've changed their contact details !!! But no response. App now stopped working altogether. ✓ Forced upgrade requires new subscription!I have a premium subscription to Weather Now version 2.9.7. Today that app stopped working. It now displays a screen the forced me to download a ‘new’ separate version of the app. The new app doesn’t recognize my current premium subscription when I tried to reactivate it. This sucks. Don’t buy this app, their bate and switch upgrade is a money grab..Version: 1.0.4
✓ Forget About It !If you want money, try being straight forward and honest. Instead you are forcing previously satisfied users to accept your “new and improved product” with NO opportunity to REGET it. Even worse, you lock out your former, very satisfying app. The net result: both app’s, new and old are closed and deleted, now and forever. Why do I give you one star; so I can write this and warn everyone else who should be smart enough to review my honest, true and factual experience, provided of course, that you’ve got the integrity to print this ! ! ! Additional Thoughts: After being contacted by the Developer for a second opinion, I restored this app, and found it was even worse than I originally stated. Each step and each page during sign up, leave you NO OPTION except to accept the offering, page by page in order to finally get the “new” App. But the “new” app has locked you out from keeping the “old” app. You can’t keep the old app even if you want it. Nor can you restore any prior settings . Additionally, you have to agree to a release to accept and provide your locations, addresses, usage, etc. I have family in two countries in the far east, five countries in Europe, along with ten states. Your previous app kept me informed. I don’t want to expose any one to you or your income producing advertisers. Maybe NOW you’ll get the message ! ! !.Version: 2.2.0

✓ Ads too obtrusive to even use trialI agree that developers should have a means to support their hard work and efforts, but the ads in this app are so obtrusive that I can’t even adequately experience the trial in order to decide if the premium subscription rate is worth paying for. The bug mentioned by a previous reviewer when adding additional cities has been fixed, but the ads are still obtrusive. Given the plethora of free weather apps out there this one is being deleted. The previous version, which was mothballed by the developer, was much better however it no longer functions and forces an “upgrade”. I don’t know what weather source the trial uses, but it does not contain the small towns in rural Canada that I am currently travelling to and thus would be useless anyways even without the ads..Version: 1.1.2

✓ Forced update forces a repurchase!!!I’ve had this app for awhile... the pro version that you pay for. They make changes every now and then, and you can’t even continue using the older version (not iOS related), so they force you to RELOAD. And yes, you now have the basic version again, or pay for the upgrade AGAIN! App is really good, but you’re paying for temporary TBD duration. Obviously their marketing can’t sustain sales so they are forcing new revenue on existing paid customers. This is NOT a new practice with this App.... they’ve done it before and have had several complaints. I’m reporting this app to APPLE as such (separately from this rating) and encourage other victims to do the same! ✓ GimmickyLots of pretty colors and gimmicky graphics such as the large earth globe on the main page which does not help anyone but sure does look pretty. Weather radar is very important to me and the very first thing I notice is how the radar map display only uses about half the screen real estate and that is a big strike for me. Another big strike is that the temperature was off a full 7° for my location. It says 61° when my other three weather app which use the National Weather Service feed All day 68°. Believe me I can tell the difference between 61° and 68° and I just verified as I walked outside. I rarely ever give one star reviews sorry but delete city..Version: 2.2.0

✓ New Weathernow App is advertising drivenDecember 20, 2018 I was forced to download the new ad driven Weathernow app. Like a lot of folks we have family in numerous locations across the country and we like to watch the weather in those locations. When attempting to add these locations I was forced to watch an ad each time. Additionally, the new app does not include all the cities and towns included in the old app. Once a city is selected or your location is determined by the app editing cities is not allowed. ✓ What a shameFirst off I agree that ads are a necessary evil, and I understand their presence and function. But I’ve used the original app for years before being forced up to this new one. Lost the ability to have multiple cities without a subscription. In exchange for a better ui, even though the old one was better than just fine. And after the most recent update every time I switch to a different view, an ad. I live in Canada, it’s $65 a month for 4 gigs of data. Every HD ad swallows up, 0.1% of my bandwidth. Which means I have room to see 1000 a month, if I do absolutely no other internet things at all for the month. In just five minutes of use this program munched through 3 of them. 12 megs, just gone. Not doing it. I can spend less bandwidth going on some clunky website to get the data. You’d make more revenue asking me if I WANTED to watch an ad, then offering me some choices so I can pick something relevant to me, then I might even click on it. But instead it’s a hodgepodge of random uselessness. This is exactly why I don’t have cable anymore. I loved you weathernow. But you broke my heart. We can’t be together anymore. ✓ Hangs on Apple WatchThe iPhone app deserves a 5-star rating but the main reason for the 1-star rating is due to 2 insurmoutable problems. 1) I had expected to get a 3-day trial but it immediately charged me for the 1-year subscription. 2) The app hangs on the Apple Watch. I defined my local location in the iPhone app and then opened the app on the Apple Watch. After opening the app on the Apple Watch, it displayed the message "Syncronize cities..." and then hung there seemingly forever. I cancelled it after 10 minutes, rebooted both my iPhone and Apple Watch. The same thing happened so I uninstalled the app in the hopes I could get a refund..Version: 2.9.5
✓ Feel Like I’m Being Ripped Off!I first heard about the WEATHER NOW app through an email which offered free apps for a short period of time. I downloaded the app and instantly loved it. I had always been fascinated with the appearance of earth from space. Recently, I received an notification about a new app, the WEATHER NOW X app. This is a newer version. I downloaded the app and the graphics are excellent! With that being said, there are two reasons why I rated this new version THREE STARS instead of the FIVE-STAR rating I gave for the original version. I dropped one star from the rating, because of the constant annoyance of having to look at advertisements EVERY TIME I wished to add a city to my geographic location list. This feature was a real sleeper to me. I dropped another star from the rating, because of the ten-city limit on the geographic location list. When I had the original version of WEATHER NOW, I was able to put about seventy different cities (and more if I wanted to) on my list. I liked to see the temperatures of various cities around the world. The new version has a limit of up to ten cities. I learned that I would have to upgrade to the PREMIUM version in order to add more cities and I feel that this is a way to get more money out of people. While I enjoy the graphics of the app, the annoying ads and the ten-city limit were what caused me to give this app a THREE-STAR rating..Version: 1.0.7

✓ Forces you to buy itThis “free” app forces you to buy it when you open it, either pay instantly or start a 3-day trial and then still pay for it. Worse, it doesn’t even work properly — if you disable geolocation services for this app (so that it won’t track your every move), the app doesn’t work at all, it keeps saying that there is no city and when clicking “add city” nothing happens, it’s forever empty. ✓ 1st Class RubbishSave your money it doesn't work,the morning and evening weather report doesn't happen there is a white smear across the globe the temperature is out by 6 degrees you don't get any notifications and the drain on the battery is unbelievable yesterday my battery showed 58 within 2 minutes it was 51 when I checked battery usage this app was showing 34 percent in 24 hours plus 17 percent in the background even though background refresh is turned off,the old version was brilliant but I cannot get that anymore even though I paid for it. COMPLETE RIP OFF NO STARS.Version: 1.0.4

✓ Nice butI love the graphics quality but am very unhappy with the buffering on putting the radar in motion. In Texas some time you need to tea a quick look at the different storm directions active in your area. I do have cable internet and not concerned with the speed. The previous HD radar did not have this issue. I can’t seem to place app on other than the iPad or was purchased on. SADD :(.Version: 2.0.4
✓ Looks great but the free 3 day trial isn’t…..Looks like a great app, download on a 3 day free trial which required purchase for £11.99 (annual) at the end of 3 days, so far so good! Downloaded and then noticed I was charged straight away, so in principle cancelled and requested a refund from Apple. So be warned!.Version: 2.8.6
