✓ Great app with one HUGE downfall..This app is brilliant and is a must for all motorcyclists, my only problem with the app is it does not support landscape orientation of your phone, it’s locked to portrait which is a problem for me as my bike requires my phone to be mounted in the landscape position which means I cannot use the app until this is corrected and if I’m the only one with this issue then I probably won’t use the app due to my phones position and I’d swap back to Waze instead as it supports landscape orientation. Besides the obvious problem I’m having, the app itself is amazing and I love the features and idea behind it all, the crash detection is my ultimate favorite part as my partner stresses sometimes when I’m out on my bike and this app is a perfect way to put both our minds at ease in the event of a fall or an accident. Please please please consider removing the locked orientation and I will have absolutely no complaints and a 5 star rating will be waiting!!.Version: 3.0.5
✓ WaypointsGreat App! I really like the features. There is an issue with the waypoints doing turn by turn on a saved ride. Is there anyway to silence the voice announcements for waypoints and just hear the next turn? ✓ Motorbike App - DetechtI have found the Detecht App very good with useful information recorded of rides undertaken. Data includes mileage, elevation, speed etc. On the laptop the actual route details are shown on a map with waypoints and other information. There is also route planner included in the app, which I haven’t used yet but from what I have seen so far I am sure it will be very useful. I would recommend Detecht to any biker 🏍 and I am amazed that apps such as this are free. In addition, I had a problem retrieving my previous data (rides) after I upgraded my iPhone and Detecht Customer Services were outstanding in helping me get everything sorted..Version: 3.6.6

✓ Excellent App!I know first hand the crash detection works when I flipped my dirt bike last month by the time I got off the ground and picked my bike up it had made a noise then vibrated and when I looked at the screen it was dialing my wife. I had 30 seconds left on a count down when I looked at it and canceled. Then reported on the app a minor wreck! I love this app for making routes while I’m sitting at work then driving them when I get off and seeing some roads I’ve never been down before..Version: 3.9.0

✓ Mutt motorcycles not present in manufacturers listHi, this app is really good for what it is. I have been using it a little while, however I got new motorbike recently and I discovered that the manufacturer aren’t present in the list of manufacturers. My bike is a Mutt Mongrel. ✓ Love the safety featuresAre use RISER generally but I use this now primarily if I can use both apps they both have pros and cons what what’s great about this app are the emergency contacts God for bid something were to happen I like that it calls those people and lets Them know the exact location to send help if needed. ✓ Pro or NotI have used this app for about a month and it is great recording rides. I really like the addition of the crash alarm, can’t say if it actually works (I will assume that’s good news, haven’t crashed yet) but the simulation alarm worked great. Haven’t used the navigation portion yet, still using maps for that but it appears to be user friendly. Haven’t really considered PRO yet don’t have a reason too. Why did I give it five stars then, for what I use it for, recording rides and the ability to have a potential crash alarm to warn someone “pimp down”. I like it!.Version: 3.3.20
✓ Missing One ThingI absolutely love this app. Only thing I wish it had was the privacy zones. I would love to have my profile set to public but I “do not” want strangers knowing where I live at all. My foot was caught under the big girl while the guy that cut me off had fled the scene. ✓ On the whole pretty goodI use this app in conjunction with WAZE, but I turn off the directions on WAZE and just keep the warnings activated. This works very well as I still have an audible warning when I am over the speed limit. The only other thing I find a little sad is the girl voice sounds like she is too robotic. ✓ App works better than the Harley app.App works great and even finds you the best routes without highways. One thing I would add is, the famous American roads. For example, if we could type in Route 66 and it would map out the entire still drivable portion of it. Or the tail of the dragon in Tennessee. There are a lot of great roads with nicknames that are famous that would be nice to be able to search up. It would be even better if it would recommend it by riding experience level..Version: 3.6.6

I found it very easy to set up and configure, since it’s pretty simple — crash and the app will call in the Calvary unless you respond and stop it. I personally like this since I often ride alone, and it has crossed my mind that I might not be able help myself after I go down. I also like the ride stats feature. I plan to make use of that. At the very least someone will know where you are. This feature alone is worth the upgraded price. The other thing, all the cool bikes you get to see from around the world. ✓ Fantastic GPS appI’ve had Detecht for about a year now, but used it on a multi day trip for the first time this week. I love how I can plan the route on the website and and then use it on my phone. I can also make last minute changes on the phone app. Unlike some GPS/Ride tracking apps you can jump into a planned route anywhere without being directed to go right back to the start. Highly recommend Detecht, and while the cost of Premium membership might seem high, it’s absolutely worth it..Version: 3.4.8
✓ Review after first useI’ve used it once do a 50 mile round trip in the southeast of kent and I must say I’m very impressed! It took me down roads I would normally avoid but it all became part of the fun. The ONLY criticism I have is that on the UK backroads it doesn’t seem to realise you’re about to go across a crossroads or something, or tells you to follow the road round when it’s actually a junction. Get this sometime with a normal satnav, but on what I think of a short ride, it happened enough times for me to feel the need to bring it up. ✓ My GotoThe Detecht app has quickly become my goto for tracking and directions. It’s easy to use and like other riders I prefer to pay attention to the roadway and traffic. That said, I’ve found the placement of my phone on the handlebars is very important as I now actually have my head up more. I do not have to look down at the speedometer at all as my driving speed is displayed on the screen. Speed limits are not always accurate but it’s all good. Accuracy is good. **ONE THING that really needs to be added to the program is a radius setting to block out the locations that you do not want to show on your maps instead of having to start the route recording after your ride starts. Rever has this feature and it works great! Maybe this can be done very soon so riders will use the mapping feature to share with others. Other than that, I was a Rever user (might go back) and was very hesitant on subscribing to this app due to the app not being able to block or add a radius type blocker to the rides. ✓ Great App/Exceptional SupportI rarely write reviews, but for this I feel these guys need to be credited. I have been using this app for a few years. It provides really good route planning, especially for a biker. I especially love the option to switch between motorways, major roads and twisty back lanes. I also love the circular route option which takes me on a different fun route each time. Anyway my reason for writing this is that I had a minor crash on the bike a few days ago. The crash detection activated automatically after 30 seconds. I gave me the option to disable the alert on a 30 second count down. If I had let it proceed it would called my wife with info on my location, etc. To add to this I received a really nice personal email from an agent at Detecht asking me to confirm that I was ok. ✓ **Updated** No option changes no email support“I downloaded the app and setup the profile. I selected the distance calculations for miles but the the app selected kilometers instead. There is no way in the app to change it. I uninstalled and reinstalled it but it retains the profile. Getting to see your riding stats is my favorite feature now that your ride will automatically pause. The one feature that makes this app stand out is the crash detection. Big bonus 👍 The directions were clear to me except when I got to the roundabout the sign shows right on the 3. exit but the map route shows opposite way to take a left which is a correct way to go🤨 And it’s only at the roundabout, strange!
