✓ Good App but new update is buggyI’ve been using this app for a few months for a TV feature. I noticed that the new update intermittently losses connection with my camera and asks me to disconnect even though my timecode is synced. Even during takes, the app will lost connection with camera and will request to disconnect. No sure what’s happening but the previous version didn’t have this reoccurring issue. Other than that the app is very useful for Blackmagic cameras..Version: 1.4
✓ No live viewIt’s a smooth working app but it does not let you look at your footage. It’s just let’s you control all the features—just no live view or ability to watch your footage within the app. Otherwise a good app..Version: 2.3.3

✓ No Landscape ModeThe features are great but I really wish it had landscape mode for mounting my phone to the gimbal with monitor preview. Being able to rearrange menu items would be great as well... or allow for more settings on one page because scrolling is not ideal..Version: 1.3

✓ DisappointedI purchased this app for myself, 1st and 2nd AC for our upcoming feature. I even paid the $9.99 upgrade to connect with Tilta Nucleus for remote recording. We did a camera prep and test today and were very disappointed with the results. The app barely had 10 ft of bluetooth signal. We were hoping to use this app to trigger recording for when camera is on a jib or difficult to reach place. Very poor signal. The features are great but unfortunately only work when you are very close to camera which totally defeats its purpose..Version: 2.3.3
✓ Prototype. Not quite ready for selling.Based on the “reviews” I bought this for UMP and 6K. Hmm, seems like a different item from the raves: Needs revamping and tuning of focus pull, it is way too sensitive, with sub-millimeter movements of the UI making wild changes, essentially useless. Then why the weird focus UI? Should be like a proper FF, with relative position control, not “up a bit, down a bit” where this driving on ice experience is not fun, or productive. Got this for gimbal work. It won’t, well, can’t. Can’t format cards in UI Cumbersome, again useless, slate interface. Can’t enter numbers directly, only scroll which is big pain down from 99. The codec page doesn’t operate like camera. Just peculiar. If fixed, this would be good, but not yet..Version: 1.4
✓ DisappointedI’m new to BM cameras and whilst I’m mostly impressed with the BM 6K pocket camera, this app is somewhat lacking. I like the controls it offers such as focus, iso, shutter speed and the record on/off function. However, a live feed to the app is a big oversight, especially from a paid app. GoPro offer a free app that comes with a live stream straight to your device. One other issue, the time-lapse function on the camera might be an add-on the the BM world but I don’t see how to activate it in the app. There’s plenty of options to switch-in grids but why you would want to do this remotely, when you can’t see the image, is beyond me..Version: 1.3.2
✓ Love this app!Love this app! The ability to control the camera over Bluetooth is great. Very reliable for the most part. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to control the white balance or any of the settings really with the new multi cam group. I was able to start recording simultaneously with it though so that was great! Just wish I was able to get all the features I paid for, but I’m sure there’s an update coming soon..Version: 2.0.1

✓ Overall goodProvides pretty decent functionality, but realistically there's only one other option. I wish there were presets available for things like shutter and is (it's shown in the photos of the app but not actually in the app), especially because choosing shutter speed is quite difficult using the slider, it pretty much never lands where you intend it to..Version: 2.1
✓ Seriously needs to be updatedSince the latest black magic 6K update this app has become almost worthless. I can start recording but I cannot stop recording through the app anymore. For some reason it did the rack focus on the 4K but they never did it on the 6K which is primarily why I bought the app just to find out afterwards it did not work with the 6K cameras. ✓ 2.4:1 option doesn’t work.I go to tap the 2.4:1 option and it selects it but nothing changes. All the other options change the resolution. I would like to see preset option to select saved recording settings and Lut selection. It would be nice to include every menu option if I’m paying you guys money. What about audio. I would love to have the ability to not have to use my screen anymore. Maybe I should just get the bmd Video Assist. I’d gladly pay $10 to have all options on my phone so I can balance my rig with the vmount battery (blocks my screen).Version: 1.4

✓ Almost thereAll of the function controls available in this app are incredible. The only downside? There’s no way to view on the app what the camera is seeing. I would love to have my phone screen be a monitor! I do a lot of stuff behind the scenes of the camera as a film, but for the times when I need to be in front of it, it’s a pain to go back and forth figuring out if I’m in focus!.Version: 1.3.2
✓ Watch app still not workingThe phone control is good but I really wanted it for the watch app remote recording control which has never worked for me and still doesn’t (Sept 2023) developer seems to be non responsive to my messages. ✓ Same as the native Blackmagic appThis is exactly the same as the Blackmagic app with the small exception that you can ‘focus’ with it and you can lock out the camera controls making it metadata entry only. This is the only difference so if your looking for more then the Blackmagic app offers there is not much. I would save your 7bux..Version: 1.2

✓ Good, but not good enough!First off all its great app with lot of nice features. However I would love to see some functionalities implemented in future updates like: ability to toggle focus assist on/off, false colours on/off, lut, clean feed etc... (toggles you can control in Monitor menu of camera). Regarding focus control: it’s it far from useful to act as focus rack pull. I have tested it on Canon FF 50mm STM lens with Metabones speedbooster XL (EF mount) on BMPCC4K and focus pulling is very jerky. I can manually focus very smoothly on this lens (in AF mode) turning focus ring... but with app focusing is “stepped”. This is reason for giving three starts..Version: 1.3.2
✓ Great app but missing key featureThis app works great. Sadly it doesn’t have live view and focus peaking which would make it a no brainer 5 stars. Also, being able to pre set two focus points would be so beneficial for slider work. I would happily pay extra for those features..Version: 1.2
✓ Works for 98% of what I need it to6k photo trigger does not work and that was frustrating and I get it, this is not a photo camera, but it does take excellent and unique photos so it would be nice if it worked. An update would be great. Please let me know if I’m doing something wrong. Using SSD tilta screen aftermarket solution, on current FW. Tried all kinds of settings and different media and still nothing...bummer Everything else seems to work as advertised (even though color balance didn’t change as per camera).Version: 2.1
