✓ More Chapters a day.. pleaseI enjoy reading books that are written in a variety of styles. I enjoy how the app combines sound and visual elements to give you a sense of the story; this lets the story's imagination soar. The methods for obtaining points (you need them if you don't want to have to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the duration of the story are two elements that, in my opinion, may use improvement. I find the number of points required to unlock one chapter to be a bit excessive. You can only receive one point per day if you leave a comment on a story. I like that we can have login incentives where we get a specific number of points every time we check in to the app, or we can watch brief advertisements to get points. Regarding the waiting period, you can only unlock one chapter each day at a specific time. ✓ Interactive at a costWhat a creative app! Galatea have really re-imagined fiction reading, emerging the reader into the story by igniting all sensors. The stories are highly addictive; I am hooked on Millennium Wolves, such a brilliant story line and really should be published. I like the creativity around how you can earn points by leaving comments and referring friends. It would be good to install the ‘watch add’ feature as another way of obtaining points. One of the cons would have to be the wait time. I noticed that sometimes it’s only a 7 hour wait and then others a 24 hour wait; it would be good if there was a way to make it consistent. I also appreciate that there needs to be a way to entice readers to purchase points to continue reading. The only problem is with a book as long as Millennium Wolves a reader would end up paying over $80 to read the whole book, which isn’t very realistic. I would wait for it to be published where I could by it upfront for less than half that price. Perhaps give some thought around the payment method; could you allow readers to purchase the book upfront and pay a total amount?.Version: 2.5.34

✓ Too much waitingIt’s amazing I love it but the waiting time is bad because there are so many chapters and we have to wait a whole day just to read the next one take the millennium wolves for example it has over a hounded chapters and we have to wait a whole day like why not seven hours or eight or less. less is nice but I understand it’s just like that but like can you take the waiting time down and when we write a comment can we get two point and not one I understand because some people will just flick through a whole chapter and write a comment just to get a point so I can understand that but the waiting time has to come down please i among many many other would agree that the waiting time is way to long with such great stories on here it’s unbelievable that you have to wait that long with amazing stories but so far my favourites are the millennium wolves and reapers claim they are both fantastic stories to read and I hope more is still coming but I just found this app not long ago and already love it the only thing to complain about is that waiting time all in all I love the stories and the app.Version: 2.5.23
✓ Honest ReviewThis app has great diversity and range of stories to read. Definitely worth looking at and investing time into reading. I enjoy spending my time looking at all the different stories they have to offer. However I personally am not a fan on only offering a year subscription if there was a monthly subscription that would be a lot easier and affordable for many individuals. Getting points to read chapters continuously can be hard especially having to wait 24+ hours for a free chapter which can ruin a readers passion and motivation to read the book. The fact that there are multiple books that are only exclusive to this app makes it very unique and special but overall can be very hard to read said stories when there are so many limitations that prevent someone from reading them due to financial constraints..Version: 5.1.60

✓ Great appI’ve been using this app on and off for about 3, maybe 4 years, maybe 2, somewhere in there, but it’s been a hot minute. I remember when we had to wait 24 hours for a new chapter, and everyone complains about 6 hours, and there’s so many more chances to gain points compared to when I first started using. But the app is quite addicting I’ll normally binge the app so much for like 2 months, then not touch it for 2 months then come back and do it again. But honestly I have no complaints with the app, they do what they have to do to earn an income, but you give you plenty of free options, and they don’t even force you to watch ads unless you chose to..Version: 5.1.15
✓ Love this appThe app it’s self is amazing tidy the books are amazing and some even have a choice of interactive sound. if i ever had a problem the team always get back as quick as possible. the only issues i have is the wait time for the majority of books it is about 6hours however some are 36 hour waits and depending on when you start the timer that’s two days, i think this is ridiculous. the second thing is the unlimited deal, i am perfectly fine with the chance to have unlimited access but multiple times i have found a book and read the free chapters only to find it is part of the unlimited deal and i can’t continue the story. tho only things i’d consider changing would be the wait times and the books to possibly have a small label so say they come with a payed package..Version: 7.3.0

✓ Absolutely a GemHere’s an honest review: I personally adore the range the app currently offers, however it is limited. I loath the fantasy (alpha, werewolf) genre and the MC genre, but just noted that that’s what most stories are (not all!!) The plot points are surprisingly diverse and invigorating to read. THIS APP IS AMAZING FOR STUDENTS! The problem with wattpad, for me, is that I instinctively binge-read, but the ‘one chapter a day’ restriction works in our favour! I have something to actually LOOK FORWARD TO when I wake up (I get chapters at 7am). And I can anticipate a story before I go to bed. I am disciplined enough to save my points (you need 10 to unlock another chapter should you wish to not wait until 7am again), incase a chapter ends on a really enduring cliff. It’s so easy & simple to save up because you get 1 point a day for a comment PER STORY. I keep 5 stories in my library thus far and I’ve had Galatea for about a week or so now. That’s a chapter pass every two days (less because when you unlock a chapter, you get another point per comment). ✓ Love the stories, hate the waitingI’ve only had this app for one day and I’m really loving it. The stories are so good and really draw you in. The only downside is the waiting. Waiting 24 hours to read a new chapter is such a long time, especially when the chapters are quite short. And it’s so difficult to earn points to skip the wait without spending heaps of money on them. If I got 2 chapters a day and only had to wait 12 hours a chapter, that would be such an improvement. I wouldn’t mind as much. And if we could earn one point per story we comment on but only once a day, max of say 5, that would be amazing. ✓ A little disappointed but overall okayI love Galatea and all the stories on there. I enjoy it a lot and it’s super interesting however I find that the 6 hour wait to read a very short chapter is atrocious. This also means that it takes a really long time to finish a book I could read in 2 days. I only really get to read 2 chapters a day, one early in the morning and one before I go to bed. I wouldn’t mind if the wait is shorter or you had to win a game/read a book of some sort to be able to continue reading. You also have to pay if you want to continue reading and some people can’t afford that which means there are 2 narrow options to choose from. It would be fantastic if they could improve this. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with the app besides this and the stories are creative and a really good read. I like that there are ways to achieve points by watching 10 adds to give you 20 points. the stories are so interesting im obsessed!!.Version: 5.1.51
✓ My OpinionThis app is fantastic. It has a wide variety of reading material, and caters to my every reading need. It is great that there are ways to get free points, and the option to buy some points if that’s an option for you. The only issue I’ve had - like so many others - is it is too expensive to buy the unlimited version. Not everyone has over $100 to pay straight up. A weekly subscription would be fantastic! The waiting times between chapters vary anywhere between 4-6 hours, it would be so much better if they were a shorter time. ✓ Great Immersive StoriesI am really enjoying this app, it has great content that is addictive, I am so into The Werewolf Chronicles. Although I can’t help but think sometimes the chapters are too short and the waiting time is too long. If the waiting time between chapters can’t change why not make the chapters a bit longer instead, or leave the chapters as they are and cut down the waiting time. Another idea make the chapter length and the waiting time more comparable for example the chapters are supposed to be between 5 and 10 mins long and the current wait time is a full 24 hours, why not make the wait time for new chapters 12 hours but increase the chapters to say between 10 and 20 mins long. That way as a reader it won’t be disappointing that you’ve waited a full day for 5 or 10 minutes of content, it would make it a bit fairer to the readers who don’t have the financial means to buy points to read quicker. Also I was wondering is there a way to go back and re-read what you’ve already read without the wait between the previously read chapters, as I find half the issue is I forget what I read in the previous chapter and spend most of the new one trying to remember and I miss half the of the chapters content..Version: 3.2.2
✓ My honest opinionThis app is so worth it! I’m not a huge fan of the 24-hour wait between chapters, but I totally understand it. At one point we can’t be selfish and always expect free daily chapters. And you guys also need to make a profit off of this app someway. I also feel that some chapters are a bit too short for my liking, and I feel like that some of these chapters could be made longer. I would also like to include that for stories that are really long like the Millenium Wolves (my personal favourite) buying points for the whole story would be SUPER expensive, so I was thinking maybe you could have a set price if someone wanted to buy a whole story in one go. I think I’ve had this app for approximately 7 months, and I can guarantee that the stories in the app are 100% worth the waiting time. Every single story is different and they always surprise me. Galatea also offers so many stories in so many different genres for all different people, and tastes. But the one things they all have in common is that they’re all so detailed, engaging, immersive, wild and they always leave you on a cliff-hanger wanting more. ✓ I’m mixedOn one hand it’s a good app on the other hand, the wait is so long. At first you read these amazing stories and you just wanna know more and more but you have to wait 15 hours only to read another short episode! I gave it a five because I don’t really mind the wait but it does get annoying A LOT. It’s overall a nice app but it has a few things that need tweaking. Like points, you have to comment something to get it that’s fine, but impatient people like myself we don’t wait. But I don’t buy anything either so I have to do requests I shared this app to a friend and I didn’t get ANYTHING I feel like the false advertising really really annoyed me and now I’m going to try new ways to get extra points. ✓ Thoroughly EnjoyableI recently found this app and have been really enjoying reading a whole range of romance novels. I appreciate the options of paying for the chapters or waiting the allotted time to receive a chapter for free. Unfortunately 6 hours I personally find is a long time to wait for a chapter but the stories are worth it in my opinion. They also have a technologically advanced feature with the use of what I think is AI to allow you to “message” characters from some of your favourite novels. ✓ Great books and fair point systemI absolutely love the books on Galatea. If I could afford the subscription I would in a heartbeat. However, if you enjoy the book and are happy to wait every 6 hours then this is the app for you! They offer free books to read too. ✓ Love the books but the app needs a bit of improvementI absolutely love the wolf and supernatural that are on this app but… and i know you probably get this a lot… but i fell the chapters are to short for the amount of time we have to wait for a new chapter, this app could be a 5 star app is it wasn’t for the waiting time, it could be made even better by maybe adding on a chapter at 7am as well as 7pm or something like that, because i know it’s harder to make the characters longer. or you could create a way that people could earn coins ( like a daily challenge or book ) with like a max of 5-10 coins a day or something, because not everyone wants to spend their money on it. ✓ Addicted is an understatement!!Love the app and stories so much that I purchased the yearly subscription. Totally worth it considering how much paper books cost. Most of the stories are fantastic, although there can be a LOT of spelling/grammar mistakes. Galatea needs to do better on proof reading before releasing. I would also suggest adding an extra security feature available such as Face/finger ID or pin as there are a lot of 🔥🌶️ reads and you don’t want the wrong eyes reading and also some sort of rating/review for each story. ✓ Good storiesThis app has very addicting stories, sure most aren’t realistic at all but they do wrap you in and leave you wanting to read more. It’s very easy to navigate around the home page and stuff too which is good, the only issue is the wait time between chapters and having to buy points. It’s almost 6 hours to wait for the next chapter and points aren’t cheap either. Watching ads is good because you get 22 points for watching 10 ads but they’re always the same ads and it gets annoying. It’s also data/wifi free so I’m not using any of my data while reading which was honestly my main concern when I downloaded it. It’s worth getting if you’re willing to wait past the almost 6 hours or use 10 points to skip the wait. ✓ Overall app review😆😆I find this to be one of the best games of it's kind! We all know how addictive such games can be and so, if you're an avid reader, I an guarantee you'll end up spending coins on this game! But, unlike all other games, you won't be disappointed in the content; as there is a vast array of story subtext to choose from; this include a hell of a lot of supernatural/vampire/werewolf stories, which if you're like me, you'l very much enjoy!! The only problem I have with this and many other apps is the waiting time for a free chapter and to receive points. This isn’t a good thing as it means you will be waiting forever before you've earned some much deserved points back!! All in all, I think these features should be changed and so that that anyone will be willing to read more and spend their own money despite everything (A win win really!!) ✓ Really enjoyable readI have been enjoying the series of books I am reading. I don’t feel it’s worth spending money on points, but would be worth the subscription if it really does unlock everything, as $8.08 per week is actually great value when there are so many books at your disposal. I enjoy how the app combines sound and visual elements to give you a sense of the story; this lets the story's imagination soar. The methods for obtaining points (you need them if you don't want to have to wait for the chapter to unlock) and the duration of the story are two elements that, in my opinion, may use improvement. I find the number of points required to unlock one chapter to be a bit excessive. You can only receive one point per day if you leave a comment on a story. I like that we can have login incentives where we get a specific number of points every time we check in to the app, or we can watch brief advertisements to get points. Regarding the waiting period, you can only unlock one chapter each day at a specific time. It's convenient to know that every story you're reading has a new chapter available at once, but some individuals (me) don't have the patience to wait an entire day for a single chapter. It would be nice if we could get at least 3 chapters a day or at different times of the day. Also can there be more options to open points other than the "20 minute feedback call" because I don't like calling people and also being on call for a 20 minute review when I just typed this in about 3 minutes is very unnecessary. ✓ It’s an okay app but could be betterSo far I’ve finished Book 1 of my first novel, though apart from how short the chapters are l like the audiobook and immersive sound and you can mute it if you wish. The points however 2 per ad is fine (10 times) and I find that due to how short the chapters are that 10 points is a lot. Also for those who can’t afford to pay for a year, that money is put to food or bills and asks a lot. Maybe make the chapters cheaper and the time limit a little less. Also new comers get the first few books books free as l feel it would bring more attention and audience. Lots to choose from and probably enough variety to pay the $100 annual subscription eventually. Really enjoying the stories (even buying some extra points although I think they are too expensive) but the issue I have is when you have to wait 6 long hours between a free release chapter. What do you do to kill time? Watch the ads and earn some points?! I would if it didn’t reset my 6 hour wait time! ✓ Thank You For ListeningThings are starting to improve for the readers in this app. I feel that Galatea are starting to listen to their readers & changing things for the better. Why I’m happy 1. You can gain points for referring a friend, leaving comments after you’ve read a chapter, following on tik tok, Facebook & Instagram. 2. I’ve recently seen their latest addition of rewards, which is read a chapter every day for a length of time & gain more points. 3. Plenty of books that cover various genres eg supernatural, romance, historical, bad boys, LGBT, YA & audiobooks (which I think is a new addition). 4. You used to be able to read free chapters every 24 hours; now you can read chapters with a shorter wait time. Why I’m sad 1. Length of chapters are so short!! I know that this probably can’t be changed for existing stories, but Galatea could make these changes to the new stories. 2. You can always keep improving by offering rewards & one off offers for your readers. 3. Making wait times even shorter to read free chapters (but I’m also aware you want to try & make money). My review would have changed from 4* to 4.5* but there are no half star options & I cannot give 5* yet as there are still areas in which the app could improve on. ✓ A great way to curb a binge readIf you have trouble starting and stopping a book this is a great way to force yourself into a chapter by chapter read. (Unless you want to pay way more than you should for the story). It’s a good way to pass 5-10 minutes. Galatea features stories with soundtracks and effects to further immerse you into the story. All the stories are romance based and catered to the female persuasion. So far the stories have been good. Look forward to slowly reading some more..Version: 2.6.4
✓ AmazingI honestly love the stories and it has me so embedded which is why I get so annoyed with waiting hours. I get the episodes are scheduled for people who are working but waiting for ages can be a hassle. As you can only read one chapter a day it gets quite annoying when a book has like 182 episodes or more and you know that it will take nearly 200 days for you just to finish one book. I get that’s why they have the point system but people should be awarded one point when they read an episode as this allows them to build up their points over time so then maybe one day they could skip the timer. I think awarding people a point each time they read an episode would also be a good way of keeping people engaged as they know that if they miss a day they won’t get that point. I also think that if you miss a day you shouldn’t be forced to not have that chapter and instead have another chapter unlocked. ✓ Love this app!I used this app a couple years back and then completely forgot about it with being so busy. I updated it the other day and i forgot how much i loved reading in this app. I find myself scrolling through social media for hours when i get bored. But reading on galatea has made my few hours of boredom sooo much better. And i feel better for getting back into reading. Its Inspired me to read more books as well as continue to read a lot more on the app. Only downfall is the wait time between chapters. If i could afford the subscription i would for sure. ✓ An Honest ReviewThis app has some pretty good stories/books on it and even though you have to wait a while to unlock chapters, I think that they are worth all the waiting, and the waiting isn’t even that bad anymore considering the fact that now you can get more points faster and it never fails to give them to you. And there are even audiobooks! With music playing in the background while you read which is really awesome. But technically as long as you are willing to commit and you have the patience the app is 100% worth it. P.S. To improve I think maybe offer more ways to earn free points as I think the prices are a little steep for what they are and also maybe change the “skip the wait” price from 10 to 5. I think if you miss a day where you don’t go on the app you should be given the pass that you missed and so the next day have two passes, just so that people will continue to use the app and not become bored from the waits. The stories on the app are amazing and very well written and worth the wait, I just don’t want it to become a bore. ✓ Great content but the waiting…Really good content and good app, doesn’t glitch often and have never been thrown out, gives you the option to earn 2 points a day by watching an add and earn 5 points by following there socials however if you can’t afford to buy the membership of nearly £60 for the year of separate points which start from around £2 for 4 chapters of the story it is a excruciating long wait, over 5 hours to read for 3 minutes is abit ridiculous, I wouldn’t moan either if i could watch adverts to make points but as stated above you only get 1 advert a day to play for 2 points and each chapter cost 10 points which is really frustrating, it would take you 5 days to get 1 free chapter from watching ads. ✓ StoriesWow, What can I say these stories have really captured me. I hav read a fair few books now and I’m hooked. I never thought I would enjoy shifter, Wolf, fantasy, romance, but these have certainly proved me wrong. ✓ AmazingThis app allows you to read amazing stories at low prices. Money can be avoided by using points earned through different things as well as waiting between chapters. The wait between the chapters depends on the book it can be from as slow as 5 hrs to as high as 49. This isn’t that bad just read books on rotation. Chapters can range from a price of 10 points to 25 sometimes harder like I have said before it all depends on the book. Overall I feel this app is amazing any problems that have been noticed were only minor. One annoying thing about the app is how my points keep disappearing. I will go onto the app and have 19 points then I’ll go browse however then going to buy a chapter I want to read my balance is back to 0. First off I’d like to point out there’s so many different novels to choose from. Usually I’m persuaded to read paperback books but after seeing this app on tiktok I decided to give it a go. And I’ve nearly completed the first series of my book in literally 4 days. However I’m just a little disappointed that it takes so long to earn rewards either wait until 7am for videos or wait 6 hours for a new chapter to be released. I think either the wait time needs to be less or there should be more videos to complete to earn tokens to unlock chapters as 20 tokens only gets you 2 chapters. Then your stuck for 6 hours. If you have patients this app is for you! Me personally when I find a good book I just want to read the whole thing straight away but it’s not possible with apps, whereas paperback books you can. To sum it all up, if you have spare time on your hands sure this app would be a good way to pass by time. ✓ Honest reviewWant to start off by saying that I think this app is really entertaining. The story that I am reading is fun to read and I look forward to reading everyday. But, there is one thing that I don’t like. Personally, I like to read these like of stories and get lost in them and read to the very end. But, there is a problem. The app runs of a currency called “points”. When you first get the app, you get 10 points. In order to read another chapter of the story right away, without having to wait another day when the time ends, you have to spend 10 points. Once you use the 10 points that you got once for free, you have to start buying the points. For me, sometimes I don’t really lot like to spend money in apps, and I understand that the app has to get money somehow, but sometimes it’s hard to get really into a chapter of the story and then realize that you have to wait the next day for the next chapter to be available. But on the contrary, this can help people to not loose themselves in stories or on their phones. Having one story a day available means that you won’t be spending a long time on your phone. ✓ Addictive AppI had never been one to read electronically. I’d always devour a hard back book to relax and divulge. I saw an ad for a story on this app and since then I’ve been hooked. Yes only getting to read one chapter a day can be frustrating. But it’s taught me patience and perseverance. I am actually investing in to character development a lot more than if I was to binge read. Of course you can pay for points to unlock more chapters or earn them. At the end of the day they have a business to run. The support from the app is amazing and they go above and beyond to help you. They can be a little slow in replying but it’s understandable with how popular this app is. ✓ Highly Immersive !This app creates a soft but powerful ambiance by using sound and colours to convey the characters emotions. This in turn creates a visual and hearing aid to understand the story which I believe is both creative and highly entertaining. I feel as if I’m almost watching a 5D movie instead of reading. The only negative I would say this app could work on is the wait times for the chapters. When a story is as addictive as the ones on Galatea naturally a person wants to read on. I recommend shortening the wait times to around 5 hours or abolishing the waiting time altogether. By having to wait for the next chapter, this powerful and immersive ambiance that the writer had gifted us ( the readers ) is broken. Overall, this app is superb and I highly recommend it. ✓ Great app but room for improvementI enjoyed all of the books I have read so far and I love the sound effects that make the reader feel engaged and give more depth. The stories are all very detailed and interesting and capture the reader's attention. However, some things are not very good about the app. The wait time between chapters is way too long, especially for some books which have rather short chapters as you only earn 1 point per day so you have to wait 10 days to move to the next chapter and this can be very annoying and makes you lose interest in the book you are reading. The amount of money you have to pay for points can equal the price of the whole book but you still only get a few chapters. I think If the wait time was reduced it would improve the app by a great deal.Version: 5.1.13
✓ I wish I could binge!I have only just downloaded the app, and I am surprised with the quality of the storytelling! In most of these apps, you have to pay extra to get all parts of the story, which really frustrates me! Thankfully this is not the case with Gatatea, which lets you have the whole package without paying a cent! The only thing I would improve would either reduce the time period between episodes (24 hours is too long!) or make earning points easier, such as watching an advertisement or suggesting story ideas. The app is still pretty new so there isn’t a great variety in stories, but I am not mad because the quality is fantastic! ✓ Honest ReviewThere are some really amazing stories posted on the app. There is quite a good variety and some really well written and developed plots and characters. The points systems for reading apps will always be really annoying because I want to immediately be able to read the next chapter, however, Galatea has actually developed a really good points system where you get the next episode the next day at 7am no matter what, or you can pay 10 points for the next episode to come faster. To get 10 points is usually unrealistic unless you wish to pay however there are many ways to get free points in Galatea such as commenting on episodes and posting reviews like this one. The addition of audio to the stories is interesting I’m not quite sure how I feel about it yet however it definitely adds something to the reading experience. It can occasionally be a little distracting but alternatively it can really help to immerse you, just depends. Overall it’s a really good app I wouldn’t hesitate to download it again, even with the points system. Can’t wait to explore more series..Version: 2.5.26

I believe this app’s downfalls are the pricing and wait for each chapter. It would be amazing if you could make a paperback book for each of the stories on Galatea. Each chapter comes out at 7:00 in Australian EST time. I read them when I have time, and find that the chapters are quite short. The price of points aren’t very reasonable for short chapters such as the ones being presented in this app. I am quite new to this app, but have been here long enough to see that the length of the wait, pricing, and chapter do not correspond with each other. ✓ Better than most book appsThe stories do pull you in! And I do like the fact that you can earn quite a lot of points or wait for the chapter to free up. Yearly unlimited subscription is a good deal but I don’t know the quality of most books yet so please offer a monthly or weekly subscription. Lastly, each chapter is too short! ✓ Great booksThe books are a great read. Points are expensive to buy. You can earn points free however you can only read a couple chapters a day with the free points. The 6 hour wait with some books between being able to read chapters for free is too long. This is the only reason I gave the app 4 stars. ✓ Trashy yet addictive - can’t get enoughI will preface this by saying I enjoy “trashy” reads - I’m all about escapist page turners that I can lose myself in at the end of a long day. In that respect Galatea is right up my alley, and the fact that a lot of the stories are steamy supernatural thrillers make it even better. Is the writing the best? No. There are clearly some talented writers on there who put together some smart stories, but you also get ones with poor grammar, spelling mistakes and awkward dialogue. Is the 6 hour wait annoying? At times yes, particularly when it’s a really short chapter or you’re left hanging. However there are paid options too if you’re not that patient. Overall though I am really enjoying it so far and would recommend it (just make sure you have headphones in/the sound turned off if you’re in public!)..Version: 5.1.5

✓ Great storiesI love the concept of the app and the fact that there’s a limit or I would just keep reading and get nothing else done because the stories on the app are so good. They’ve improved the time wait as well now so it’s only 6 hours until you can read the next chapter which suits me good. If you love werewolf fiction this is definitely the place for you because there are so many werewolf stories and many other supernatural ones. I’ve also read other stories that have really good plots that aren’t supernatural so there’s definitely so much choice. Each chapter you wait for 6 hours before continuing or you could collect coins and read the all at once. This app is better than any other reading apps I have seen you only have to wait before reading unlike other apps I have seen you have to wait until the next day to get points and sometimes the points isn’t enough or you might have to wait longer. ✓ Need to add another way to get pointsGalatea is a really great app. I have enjoyed its books and the way it brings sound into it. It brings the reader into the book. I also really enjoy that you have to wait for a new chapter every day. I think the only problem is that we can only get one coin a day. Although it’s a why to get people to try and get the points more. I feel like it’s making people not want to read as much. Instead of waiting 10 days to get the amount of points. It would be nice to have: a) Daily check in. After 7 days you get 5 points or however many suits the app. It’s brings people to come on once a day to achieve the 7 days to get extra points, but also still brings people to read each day. b) 2 points a day from reading one book. This would make the wait 5 days less, which would have an affect on how many people read because it’s only 5 days! Or c) Ads. Although ads have been used in many apps. It’s affective. It really works if you have good internet. Depending on how the app uses an ad system. If you take any of these into consideration then I’m sure your Galatea users will love it! However I would of gave it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the time you wait. They should say you have to wait till midnight because I wake up at half 6am and have to get ready for school and out by 7am so I don’t have time to read the newest episode but if it was wait till midnight, I can wake up a little earlier and read them which will be more convenient because all day I can’t concentrate on work and I can only think or imagine what will happen next in the story’s I am enticed into because I know that it is just waiting there ready for me to read but if I read it on the morning I know what would happen and it wouldn’t be so hard not to think about it during the day. You’ve increased ways of people earning points which is great for us that haven’t subscribed..yet. ✓ Great stories.I'm loving this app as I can listen to the books. I get a lot of migraines so this is so much better for me. I can also carry on with things to do around the house or my knitting and other hobbies. I wish I could afford to buy the subscription but being a widow and a pensioner I can't really afford it. The only thing I don't like is waiting for the next chapter. It's a long time to wait when you've got into the story. When I go back to it I think “What was the last bit again?” Being disabled I'm in a lot of pain daily and this helps me to take my mind off it. But please don't stop at the end of chapters. I'll watch more adverts to get points if I have to. Other than that it's a great app. Update. I had a little money that someone owed me so I paid for the year. The chapters are so small and was sick of waiting. There is one problem twice my app jumped and missed chapters. I couldn't find the number I was on so had to listen to them again until I reached where I was. That was so annoying so now I keep a list of all the chapters and tick them off as they go. I've had 2 books and both has finished abruptly. How long we have to wait is anyone guess? I'm not happy about that either. I have to listen to another book now until they come out again. ✓ Wonderful books - shame about the pointsAbsolutely enjoying all of the books ai have on the go in my library. Well written, diverse and intriguing. But it is disappointing that you can only read one chapter at a time & have varied time limits between chapters. Some books it’s 5hrs, some eventually go to a 36hr wait between chapters which I think is ridiculous. Would love a different scheme to get free points, like daily goals. Read 15min get 2points. Or something similar to that. Would just make it a little nicer than waiting for daily points to accumulate enough to open a chapter. ✓ Coins / payments / free booksI’ve only had the app about a week and a half and so far I really like it. I read a lot - but I chose to read on apps as I don’t always have the money to buy books. But like this app you can get free coins every day but to me the free coins isn’t enough. If I could I would read the whole book in one go. The app allows you to read as many chapters as you like IF they are unlocked. (You can buy more coins) I do however like the three day free book - 4 books a week are available for 3 days for free and when there is something I like it’s always finished before day 2. ✓ It is good, however too much waitThe app itself in the way it’s slid out to how the text is present is all very tidy which I’m a big fan of. As well as this I like that they have some audios that go with the text as you’re reading along. However between chapters you have to wait 36 hours to get the next one for free which I think is a ridiculous amount of time to read something that will take no longer than ten minutes at a push. A way you can get around this is using 20 points to bypass the wait which is nice, but again these points can only be gotten once a day at 21 maximum between watching ten adverts for two points each and 1 point for a daily chapter. There are of course ways to spend money to get through what you want which I don’t like because it feels more pressured with the long waits and little options to get points in the app. If I was to improve the app I’d either make it so you can read double the chapters then have the same wait or make point earning without spending money much easier so you can have the freedom to read what you want when you want instead of waiting a day at a time..Version: 7.3.0

There are a number of amazing stories to choose from with a variety of genres so there is a book to suit everyone's taste, all of which are addictive and exciting. My only criticism with this app is that the stories are cut down into chapters and you are only able to read one chapter a day unless you earn or buy points which can be used to purchase another chapter for you to read. Otherwise you are stuck waiting a ridiculous wait time which is frustrating as you are so intrigued to read on. Perhaps, the app would be a lot more popular if the wait time between chapters were half and hour or so or at most an two hours, opposed to having to wait until 7AM the following day to read a new chapter. ✓ GalateaI was intrigued when I saw an ad on Facebook for The Arrangement and have found the story quite addictive. I was really enjoying it until the free chapters ran out, I started paying small amounts $9.99 as I couldn’t wait 6hrs but the points very quickly got used up and the wait time kept getting longer so I stopped, then I discovered the ways to get free points. Sadly though it started feeling like a game when I just wanted to enjoy the book. ✓ Great App for readingGalatea app is great for bookworms and has audiobooks aswell. You can get a membership that allows you to access any books you want without waiting or you can buy points if you don’t want to wait 5 hours for a chapter. I think with the membership it should offer monthly at a cheaper price for those who can’t afford $100 straight up or maybe a two week free trial to test it out for those we actually want to have a membership but can’t afford it fully but maybe the trail will really push people to get a membership - once they have a taste to all the free access they’ll want it more 🤔 Also the five hour wait between chapters really isn’t ideal, maybe lower it to 2 hours because I personally hate waiting five hours to read a tiny chapter that is barely a full page so I’ll go on another book app to read something else and end up forgetting about Galatea until I get a notification but by that point I’m already half way through another book that I can’t be bothered switching over to again read one tiny chapter. Chapters are to small! They aren’t really chapters more like half a page or less depending on what book you read. ✓ My gripe…Don’t get me wrong…I love the stories. I don’t even mind having to wait 6 hours for another chapter. I don’t even mind the short chapters. The immersive sounds don’t even count, I usually turn it off. It’s distracting. How do you immerse yourself in a story that you’d have to edit first? I want to read a book not edit it. Every time I read, I’d have to edit the sentences in my head before I can understand anything in a 1 paragraph chapter. Allowing a book to be in a “published” state with errors like having 2 connecting words next to each other is a no-no. Or using words incorrectly like bear (meaning carry) instead of bare (meaning naked) is shameful. How do you call yourselves a “book” app is beyond me. One (1) read through would have revealed errors that a spellchecker and grammar checker would have ignored or bypassed. Asking readers to pay for something that you (Galatea/Inkitt) would have just uploaded from the authors without so much as a read through is just appalling. ✓ AMAZING BOOKSI was uncertain about downloading this app because in the past other app for book reading have ask for you pay for new chapters even on the basic subscription. But this app is completely different. Just on the normal settings (no subscription) you don’t have to pay for new pages, you just have wait a few hours which is fine for me because by the time I finish work, the next page is unlocked! You don’t even feel the long wait. Alternatively when you gather more points by reading and with those points you can skip the wait! ✓ Great reads long waitsI started reading a snippet on Facebook that brought me to Galatea. I’m an thoroughly stuck into a story and waiting 6 hours between chapters is very frustrating. I put my notifications on so I know when a new chapter is ready, I’ll scroll through the chapter and click next to start the next countdown even when I’m not reading and sometimes this helps me build up a couple chapters to binge when I have the time to read but goes back to frustrating very quickly when I’m back up to speed and having to wait another 6 hours. I suppose it helps the book last longer as I would normally burn through a book. I wish there was a monthly option to subscribe rather than a £60 one off payment. Hopefully that is something that is considered from the app as the only other way to get monthly subscription I believe is to agree to a 3 year subscription whether you are still using the app or not.Version: 8.11.0

✓ Good books, annoying accessGreat selection of books to read, currently engrossed in 4 books that I can’t get enough of. The thing that is insanely annoying, though, is that you get to read like 5 chapters for free (by that time you’re hooked on the book), and if you keep reading, you are only able to read one chapter every 6 hours, or you pay or have to do something for points to unlock them. ✓ Great Stories and app but not without some minor bugs.This App is a great idea. Love the stories and have become addicted to a few characters. It’s not without its bugs, had a few crashes on startup but customer support have been helpful to get it sorted. Hopefully the update I just did sorts it once and for all!. The point system is interesting. Yes sometimes the chapters are short, but the offer of the first 5 or so chapters for free definitely get you hooked. Being able to earn daily loyalty points and earn 20 points a day through watching apps is great. Social media bonus’s are good but but a once off. Maybe offering a “task bonus” (comment on FB/Twitter) every week or fortnight for 50 or so points would be nice to engage more interaction. I also agree with another review here, an annual membership flash sale would be nice. Maybe offer it to those who maintain their streak for 100 days or so?, Even a 30% discount on the regular price would be nice for loyal readers. I also understand the wait time, I can deal with 6hrs between chapters, even 12hrs, but 20 and even 36hrs? I have almost lost interest in the story. And also having people read 1/2 a book then locking it completely unless you pay the membership feels unfair. Especially if its a book you advertise with. It does not promote you app concept very well at all. ✓ ExcellentI think this is by far the best for pricing and quality. You get immersive books with sound and music, which can really add to the feeling of the read. You have the ability depending on books for free chapters per certain amount of time. During covid this was very short like 30 mins, I currently get one free chapter a day for my favourite book. I don’t know if others are shorter for the time being, maybe? You can earn points by watching videos and other things too! The subscription is worth the price vs a payment for coins, you end up way better off doing this. This isn’t like other apps where the books are poorly written, drawn out with spelling and punctuation errors, you are paying for quality books 10 out of 10 times and the books!.Version: 9.8.2

✓ GalateaI’m loving the App some stories are a bit repetitive and make you angry but you can choose not to continue reading them. Because the chapters are locked and free you e not wasted any money and a small amount of time if you decide it’s not for you. The wait can be excruciating at times but it’s great that you can get a free point everyday for your first comment, save those up and you can unlock another chapter. Or buy points and binge your fav series. I like providing editing feedback, sometimes there are so many errors you don’t enjoy a chapter and at other times the chapter is so riveting you forget everything but reading it. ✓ BOOK REVIEW PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING!!!I feel as though this app is very controversial. It's like marmite, some are gonna love it and others are going to hate it. First off I'd like to point out there's so many different novels to choose from. Usually I'm persuaded to read paperback books but after seeing this app on tiktok I decided to give it a go. And l've nearly completed the first series of my book in literally 4 days. However I'm just a little disappointed that it takes so long to earn rewards either wait until 7am for videos or wait 6 hours for a new chapter to be released. I think either the wait time needs to be less or there should be more videos to complete to earn tokens to unlock chapters as 20 tokens only gets you 2 chapters. Then your stuck for 6 hours. If you have patients this app is for you! Me personally when I find a good book I just want to read the whole thing straight away but it's not possible with apps, whereas paperback books you can. To sum it all up, if you have spare time on your hands sure this app would be a good way to pass by time. ✓ Great stories, but free ‘points’ not given!This is a killer!! Firstly, the stories are good - I have been searching for a great read at my local library but can’t find exactly what I want... but here on Galatea it just seems to be my style! Problem is, you read a (very short) chapter, then have a minimum of 3 hours before the next chapter is released. There’s the option to pay for a 3 month or annual subscription- annual being $100... I would love to be able to read these books without the dreaded wait, but simply can’t afford it 😣 The other option to help out those broke like me is like a point system which is great - work up to 10 points and you get to unlock another (addictive) chapter. Now here comes my biggest gripe.... ready?? There is a ‘day streak’ - a point per day, then if you get to 7 days, you get 5 much sort after points. So far, twice now, my ‘streak’ has gotten to day 5 and reset back to day 1 - even though I have logged in and read multiple chapters throughout the day - every single day single installing!! Why does it never get to day 7 and give me the 5 points?!!!!! Not happy 😔 I understand there are bills and people to pay, but I can only just imagine that if there was a flash 48hr half price annual subscription sale, the app would make SO much more money with customers taking up the deal, rather than all of us just waiting out the waiting time for the next chapter... everyone loves a sale, almost as much as they are loving these books 😉.Version: 4.9.0

✓ My opinionIt has great stories and both great for under age and over age but it is such a long wait time that it just doesn’t become worth it at the end of the day. ✓ Content good but price is too muchEnjoying the book series I’ve been reading but stopped buying points for chapters when I realised how short the chapters were, how many there are in each book and how expensive that made it. Would have been happy paying a weekly subscription for a lesser amount or a monthly one. But after paying £20 and not even getting to the end of two books I decided not to spend anymore money. If the app weren’t being greedy and made the price a bit more reasonable or the chapters longer than literally a 3min read, then I’d gladly spend my hard earned cash. As it is I have to watch ten ads a day and wait 6hrs between chapters instead. I am keeping an eye on the prices though.
