✓ Horrendous MulitplayerIt’s a good game but the app is horrendous. It freezes constantly, it randomly closes and the multiplayer just doesn’t work 90% of the time. It’s not worth it. ✓ Should be betterA good example of someone getting hold of the digital adaptation of a great game, messing it up and then abandoning it. This game looks fantastic and plays very well (when it works) but it’s got issues that stop you completing a game. When I try to start a game it black screens again while loading but does not recover and the app closes completely. ✓ Multiplayer is unplayableAfter getting into the board game scene. My partner and I have started to dive into board game apps before buying a physical copy. The game mechanics are great. Graphics good but the online multiplayer crashes. Constantly. ✓ Beautiful glitchy gameIt’s such a beautiful game but it chooses when to glitch and when not to. The AI will glitch by not finishing their turn. Then on my turn the action selection icons will not appear so I’m just stuck. I love that they allow you to try the expansion chibis! But I can’t buy it or play with it because of the glitches. Once this is updated I’m sure it’ll be a wonderful experience. From the games I could actually play, it’s an amazing adaptation of the board game.Version: 1.0
✓ StinksThis game stinks. You start with the 3 same cards every game. The online play is non existent, I’ve tried to create several rooms for friends and none have been able to find the created room. The game also seems rigged against you. After the first couple of rounds the A.I. players satisfy their tasks every round after that which isn’t very realistic. ✓ Visually stunning, atrocious back endI seriously don’t know what they’re doing! For such a good looking game they’ve messed up the game play so bad. I won’t list all the flaws because to be honest I could have lived with them and wouldn’t have minded. However, 9/10 starting hands are all the same. (Gardner:4 green bamboo. Panda: pink,yellow,green. Tile: 3 yellow curved) This is completely unacceptable. All they need was to put the full list of cards in the game (which they may have, who knows) and put a decent random starting hand selector and this game would have comfortably got 3/4 stars. The way the game currently is, it doesn’t even warrant 69p let alone £2.99 (what I paid)..Version: 1.0
✓ Can’t recommend until fixedWhen you are logged in to an Asmodee account and playing a local game the turn choices do not show up on the right side, so the game is unplayable. If you logout of your Asmodee account and play a local game the game works as expected. I haven’t tried an online game so I can’t say if it has the same issue or not..Version: 1.0

✓ Promising but major issues/bugs. 😣😪The game itself is great and I’m pleased that the chibi expansion is already available (which I purchased straight off the bat) but certain major bugs make this often unplayable as it is right now. I really hope you will fix these. The following are the issues I’ve encountered so far: ***BUGS: Repeatedly starting with the exact same objective cards, then the A.I doing the exact same thing, and the exact same plot tiles and objective cards being drawn in the following turns. At this point I exit game and/or dismiss the app. It continues again and again with the same thing until, randomly, it doesn’t.🤷🏻♀️ The game not responding to the selection of any actions so that you can’t do anything - not even exit game - and then continuing to encounter the same problem repeatedly despite dismissing the app and even restarting the iPad. Like the previous problem this one seemingly randomly fixes itself. ***U.I issues: You should be able to view what baby tokens are remaining before you commit to taking one as an action, as that is an important part of the strategy. When the storm weather occurs and you have the option to move Mr Panda or Miss Panda you cannot clearly see the board space behind the pop up. You can’t make a strategic decision about which to move - or if you even want to move one - if you cannot see the game state. Both this and the baby tokens shouldn’t be hidden information at any point - they aren’t in the physical board game. *** A.I issues: 1. with the chibi expansion the A.I. players NEVER EVER make a baby panda yet they very often move Miss Panda to a space (not containing Mr Panda) for absolutely no reason!🧐 2. The A.I players seem to hoard irrigation channels for no benefit. 3. Minor quibble but the A.I. Also disproportionately favour plot objectives in every single game. 4. Overall I’d say the A.I is very, very easy for anyone whose played the board game before. Would love to see varying A.I difficulties. That being said, it’s clear a lot of effort went into the app and it shows. It’s just a shame that there are such considerable issues. I hope you’ll fix them soon..Version: 1.0
✓ Impossible to play if you are color blind.I simply can not play the game. I am red-green color blind and the yellow and green appear so similar to me that I can not tell what the goal cards require. I have played the real board game many times and enjoy it, which is why I bought this. But I just can’t play this version. There are no distinguishing patterns on the pieces or cards to help. ✓ Great version but needs color blind fixI love Takenoko but the color choices are horrible for those of us who are colourblind. I had to mark the cards and tiles to play the physical game and I had hoped that they had learned a lesson from that and included some way of determining tile type with a symbol. ✓ Good game to haveThe color and animation is quite good. Overall it is a good game to have. I would like the animation to have an option to be sped up. Although the animation is quite beautiful, it slows down gameplay and it takes from my user experience. I can only play this game once a day. Also network game matching needs to be improved. ✓ Unplayable.This is one of my favorite board games, so I was really hoping for a good app experience. Unfortunately, it is 100% unplayable—no exaggeration or hyperbole. It simply does not work at all. The hang up seems to be the transition between turns. Whether you’re playing online games or solo games vs AI, the game always gets stuck going from one player to the next. You’re left with no choice but to back out and start a new game. I’ve tried over a dozen times and not once has the game been able to make a full round of turns and come back to the first player—in either solo or online mode. I’ve played a handful of games and only have been able to complete very few of the games I play. The rest, we have to time out or an “auto-player” randomly starts playing for you while you’re kicked out and unable to rejoin. ✓ Too slow and can’t saveThe AI’s turns take too long. There should be a way to speed them up. The bigger problem is there’s no way to save your game. If you close the app all progress is gone. ✓ It’s ‘almost’ great but...There’s a lot to like about the ‘potential’ of this app implementation of the board game, but the multiplayer experience is frustrating. From 3 plays we’ve managed to complete 1 game. For the rest, the game seems to lose track of which player is playing so the game doesn’t move on for all players, so some players are stuck waiting for another player to finish their turn when they’ve already finished and are waiting for the next player to play. We haven’t found a consistent way to recover (Exit and rejoin sometimes works), so we have to abandon the game. This one bug destroys the multiplayer game. What’s the point in playing when it’s a lottery whether you’ll make it to the end. A shame. But ultimately I can’t recommend in its current state..Version: 1.0

✓ Great game, so many bugs :(We love this game and the app design is really good, but we haven’t had a good experience with it. We encouraged our whole family to purchase this app so that we could play together from different houses. The online games we set up keep crashing, the app keeps crashing and closing on our devices, we’ve found it difficult to control the game elements and - while the tutorial is a good introduction to a complex game - the gameplay desperately needs some little dialogue boxes saying things like “are you sure” or “if you do this you won’t be able to...” etc. Please fix! ✓ Visually awesome but has some frustrating bugsI bought this game a few days ago and have enjoyed learning how to play. The layout and graphics have been really well done so that part is a win. Unfortunately every couple of games my game play would “replay” the game from somewhere near the start and from that point onwards the game is unplayable. Obviously this is very frustrating as by that point you’ve obviously invested a lot of time in your game. There are other small issues that could be improved upon also, but the frequent loss of playability mid game is the killer. ✓ Much potential, many glitchesMy friends and I have been waiting for an app version of this game forever, so we rushed to download it when it finally came out. It’s gorgeous, and I love the Help Panda as I haven’t played in about a year (hubby doesn’t do board games, and my board game crew lives five states away). But it has several problems that are really barring it from living up to its full potential: 1) Online version hangs. My friend was able to make her move, the game tells me it’s my turn, but when I make a move, it tells me “Error: Not Your Turn.” It allows me to play my actions, with the error message each time, but does not register on my friend’s side. 2) No ability for single player? I’m not seeing an AI option. 3) When I attempt to purchase the Chibi expansion, the game tells me “Purchase Failed.” Come on, Asmodee, give me the solid app experience I’ve come to expect from you and let me get some pandas the bamboo they so desperately want!.Version: 1.0
