✓ Been reliable non stop for two years.I was hesitant to buy this product since it’s on the cheaper side but I wanted something until I could afford the ring doorbell. However I am blown away by the clarity, reliability, and accuracy of this Kangaroo and app. And customer service is very easy to get ahold of and they are super helpful! I have never switched to ring bc I am so satisfied with kangaroo!.Version: 8.4.3
✓ My review on KangarooI love my kangaroo I just didn’t know I would love to buy so many battles but I guess it’s like gas in your car the more you use it the more you pay I guess the original batteries I got were really bad so they didn’t last that long like a week but the new batteries that go really long I wish I could afford more my favorite and I really happy with them.Version: 8.1.4
✓ Doesn’t what it’s supposed toBasic but does what it is supposed to…. My only complaints are that in the beginning I deleted by mistake and the items wouldn’t pair…I called in and they walked me through resetting it. The other complaint is when I took it back the the store none of the serial numbers on the items match the serial numbers on boxes.Version: 8.1.4
✓ Great deviceI love this device and totally worth the piece of mind! the picture is amazing for the price too. my only complaint is that sometimes the app crashes on my phone so all I have is a white screen and then I can’t access the videos of who was at my door. ✓ Easy Install Doorbell Camera LackingI was super excited to finally purchase this product line for securing my new home after waiting for my closing. It arrived quickly and looked exactly as pictured. The doorbell camera is a little larger than I envisioned. Setup of the security system was effortless and the app made it a breeze. The motion and entry sensors are perfect! I am however extremely disappointed in the pictures from the doorbell camera. It took about an hour for it to start to take pictures and when it did, it left much to be desired. I was not expecting it to be on par with some of the more expensive options but I did expect to at least be able to see colors. The exposure is awful and the delay between the ring on the doorbell and the alert to my phone almost makes it unusable. I held out hope that night vision would be better and was again disappointed. I think I’ll have to go with a dual system for doorbell cam and security because I really am impressed with the security portion with the exception of the siren needing to be a little louder. Edit: Also the siren has updated 2 times in the middle of the night and, since it talks when doing so, scared the living daylights out my family..Version: 7.1.0
✓ Awesome butI was very skeptical about purchasing the Kangaroo Video Doorbell with Chime because I was so worried it was going to be like every other video doorbell. Where you pay out the yin yang for the door bell and then they want you to pay a yearly service fee just to get a picture sent to your phone. I am really glad I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase the Kangaroo Video Doorbell with Chime. It’s better than I expected. My only three issues with this device is one the volume of the chime. Even set as high as it will go; it’s still pretty quiet. My other issue is also with the chime and that’s the lack of ring melodies. Your only given 2 melodies. Kangaroo and Ding Dong. Kangaroo is really low volume where as Ding Dong is louder but still rather low considering it’s suppose to alert you someone is at your door. I really wish they would add more melodies as well as make them a bit louder. My house isn’t that big but if I’m in my bedroom without my phone. There is no way I can hear either included chime from my bedroom. My third issue is with the premium add-on plan PPP. I don’t like paying for anything annually and really wish they would allow customers to have the option of paying monthly at the same price. Other than these three small issues. The app is fantastic and really easy to use. I will be a return customer and be adding onto my security system with more Kangaroo 🦘 products! Customer for life!.Version: 7.13.2
✓ Great ProductWhile it did take a while for me to receive my shipment I think the product is great and very easy to set up. Very user friendly so your grandparents who are not tech savvy would be able to install with no problems. My only complaint is the siren isn’t very loud but you are able to purchase additional sirens for houses/apartments with additional floors I have 1 level so I was ok with just one. ✓ Love the App and the ProductThe App is very user friendly and with a great interface. It also contains online chat support or call back if you like. I replaced my hardwired alarm with this product and love it. I had their expensive competition (Simply_Expensive or something like that) in a prior residence. They made me pay extra (in the additional to the monthly monitor fee) for using the App to control my system. This is the best App and alarm product available, I also purchased the door-camera ($20) same as my neighbors but his is Ring_Expensive also..Version: 7.8.1
✓ Good but there’s a major bugI think the app is really good. But the armed and disarm button doesn’t work. Like nothing happens when you click it. Not sure if this has happened to anyone else. But when I get home I would like to disarm it so it doesn’t record me when I’m walking around my home. But it’s always armed and records me as if I’m a disturbance..Version: 9.4.0
✓ Great Home Security And So AffordableFor such a low price, we really weren’t expecting much, but Kangaroo has really been quite impressive!! Super easy setup and activation and flawless performance from day one!! ✓ Great Value, Camera is meh...This product has a lot of bang for your buck. But the doorbell Camera didn’t meet my expectations. An ad directly comparing Kangaroo to Ring was a bit misleading, but it was up to me to due diligence. I had an impulse buying moment after my car was rifled through in the middle of the night after being left unlocked unintentionally by my wife...the ad popped up immediately. Hopefully some firmware improvements help but the hardware is what it is.. But the bright side is all the motion sensors, door sensors and siren doorbell/keypad make up for the lackluster camera. My home is secure. I’ll probably move this to a rear sliding door and get a ring anyway for “real-time video, talking, streaming” Just being honest....Version: 7.7.0
✓ Perfect!The Kangaroo System fit our need perfectly! We put the doorbell camera on the front of the condo and 2 sensors on our glass doors downstairs because we are right on the water. (This was for our younger grandchildren) We are able to monitor everything from our phones and the glass door alarm sounds through the door bell plug in. The cost is amazing...under $100 for what we purchased compared to over $800 from a security business. Couldn’t be more pleased. We’ve already recommended it to other people..Version: 7.13.1
✓ Safety firstI love the security system. It was easy to install. I would love the option to mount the keypad near my entry door on the wall which is where my old system is located. Also the volume could be louder. My home is over 3500 feet so it is hard to hear it. With that being said, it’s a system that works well and I didn’t have to pay for the startup kit. ✓ Great valueAmazing value, works well, overall very happy. Here are my suggestions: arm sensor should give 60 second grace period, not 5 min. The app notifies family members every time you arm and disarm (which happens way more often than the actual motion events). You should be able to toggle this off. ✓ Much too sensitive at times .The Kangaroo security system needs to be calibrated to not detect the wind or just a car driving by . Than again, you never know when it could be a security breach . Just a thought, and I’m sure others are experiencing the same problem..Version: 9.0.1
✓ Saved me from much bigger problems!I got Kangaroo sensors for free from my insurance company and didn’t think much of them after I installed them. I bought a brand new home and it turns out that my dishwasher connection had a slow leak that I wouldn’t have noticed until it flooded out onto my kitchen floor. I got a high humidity alert under my sink the other day and discovered the leak in its very early stages. Amazing..Version: 7.11.1
✓ Decent system for the moneyLinks up to your WiFi straight away and is beaming back images from my visitors however the battery life on the doorbell isn’t great it needs replacing about once a month or so! Don’t get caught slipping like I did,,,,and let 3masked men attempt to take ur life!!! Motto of the story MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE BATTERIES ON THIS DOORBELL!!! ✓ Love the App & the Service!I do love the affordability and stuff. I wish the full screen pop-up when motion & sound is detected on any camera can be removed. It highly interferes with the overall usability of the app especially if I’m trying to look at a camera. I already get a notification any, so why stump the usability of the app with a annoying full screen pop-up. Other than that, everything else as of now is basically flawless..Version: 9.4.0
✓ Security systemThis system works very well. It was easy to install in our home. Works great through our phones ( I phone). The key fobs work great too for my son’s girlfriend so that she can get into the house. The notification process is really cool, letting us know when someone comes into the home. ✓ Great valueNo matter which devices you choose, or which plan you choose (I’m on free), the system provides amazing bang for your buck. Keep in mind that some of their inexpensive devices are just that, inexpensive. Don’t expect the doorbell camera to be on par with systems like ring which need to be wired up, or need expensive solar mounts to stay running. In my opinion, Kangaroo is IoT security done right: -SIMPLE COMPONENTS keep costs down, no unnecessary bells and whistles (unless you want them with their subscription). -EASY SETUP means it’s very fast to deploy, with no headaches. -DATA STORED SECURELY in the usa through AWS (I’ve seen many cheap devices tunnel back to China) -FREQUENT UPDATES mean that any issues I encountered were resolved without any need for me to do anything. -GREAT SUPPORT from the friendly support team. -NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO HACK as a network and security engineer, one of the first thing I did was analyze how this device works, and they’ve done it right (as long as you keep your kangaroo login info safe).Version: 7.10.1

✓ After a hiccup, working greatUpdate: Appreciate the quick developer response. All is working again and we’re getting the know the system better. Would love to see a brief history of trigger events (24 hours or less) even after dismissing in the app. Original review: Been using for a few days with no issues and was pleased, then tonight started to have issues. Devices all have connection to our WiFi (confirmed on the router side), but the app keeps stalling and saying “connection lost” while trying to arm from within the home or view sensors. Unable to arm from the Siren or register my husband to the account. Not super impressed and definitely going to hang on to the packaging for the sensors themselves in case it continues..Version: 5.0.0

The best thing about the products is that they are all so easy to set up. Just download the app and you can connect all of them together within minutes.
