5-Star except I truly miss aspects of BodySpaceThe only reason I decided to pay was because I thought I was truly missing out on some key things I loved from BodySpace when I used it. Those key things are the meal plans, and more plans. However, what I truly love, the weekly emails about progress, what muscle group you trained, the community that would see your updates, goals, progress, etc. are no longer provided. Since this is all virtual, those aspects help to act as a personal trainer I think. With a price increase, I would love to bring back or merge those aspects, otherwise I don’t think I was truly missing much? Great app, and I would definitely comeback to change my rating..Version: 3.0.0

Good app, missing two basic featuresI really like this app, but for some reason there isn't a way to see your lifting history for an exercise when you're doing supersets (a really, really common lift type across a lot of the programs). They also don't have a way to swap out exercises mid-workout on their programs, which is super frustrating if the equipment for that exercise is taken at the gym. Every other lifting app I've used has these. Other than that, really solid programming and interface..Version: 3.0.0

Finally Made The Switch From BodySpaceI don’t HATE this app but after using BodySpace for 7 years... I don’t love it either. Data migration should have been made available to Legacy app users. I miss the calendar feature in BodySpace. It would be nice to get a snapshot of your workouts by the day or all in one place vs having to click on the weekly breakdown to see daily workouts. Also if you are following more than one program, as a user you have to go in to each program individually to get your daily workouts. Too much clicking and it takes away from the User Experience. It LOOKS nicer but as far as functionality goes, there’s definitely more that could be done to make this an app people are excited to open everyday..Version: 2.22.0

Worth every penny!Every person is different when it comes to a workout routine. For myself I struggle to group the proper muscle groups together and finding myself into a boring workout after a month. Users can’t deny that the price is absolutely fair when it provides the amount of resources. I personally follow the workouts themselves and nutrition for others is can be everything provided. I have personally seen results in 2 weeks as far as weight lifting growth. Weight loss and overall a better health from body to mind. That’s all everyone is looking for. Amazing App BUT 1 Annoying ProblemThis is an amazing app for those who want to find great plans to follow and stay focused during your lift. Well executed and streamlined design makes it super easy to use. The ONLY issue I have is not having the ability to look at your past weight lifted on every lift. I've only noticed this feature on a few lifts. It would be amazing if you could look at your history on every lift so you don't have to click out of the workout, and go back to past workouts, just to see what you did the week before..Version: 2.28.0

Good ResultsI have been working out casually and running for the past 2 years. A few months ago, I wanted to begin increasing my strength and build muscle to reach goals I set for myself. I used a few other workout apps but this is the only one I’ve enjoyed and seen good results with it. I’d recommend if you’re new to weight lifting or took a long break from it, try out one of the beginner 12 week programs. Very Good not quite excellentGreat catalogue of workouts with excellent detail. Some of the detail feels hidden away in tabs where it could be built into the workout plan alongside rep counter and rest timer. Also seems to miss features like Apple Health integration which would personally make a big difference, heart rate tracking, audio cues… the stuff that other well known apps have. Great app; noticed some programming bugsFirst let me say the app is great. Tons of workouts from really awesome trainers. I have enjoyed every program i have tried! However lately i have experienced some bugs. When tracking my workout i will select “save and go to next exercise” only to find that the last exercise did not save. Sometime it saves with no problem, most of the time i will have to go back, save, go back again, re enter the weight, save, maybe it works... maybe i start the process all over again. Almost perfectThis app is almost a perfect solution! The user interface is great looking and intuitive. Tons of workout programs and I haven’t come across any major bugs. The only thing keeping this from being a five star is that I can’t figure out how to easily substitute exercises in my workout schedule. Here is my use case: I am following Shortcut to Shred and using my home gym. I don’t have a smith machine for the decline bench press so I want to substitute in the regular decline bench press or a decline dumbbell press. Amazing!!I am a personal trainer but just closed my business after 9 years. Me and my partner separated and with working two jobs, I struggled. I wanted to concentrate on my own fitness and my children! I looked at joining a gym etc but with money being tight and with having my own equipment I looked into Bodyfit! I love it! I’m only on week 1 of Hannah Edens 8 week program but I’m already hooked. I much prefer high intensity workouts and this is right up there. Highly recommend. Great App!!!Great app I use this everyday only problem I have is some of my workouts will not let me complete. When I select complete workout a pop up comes out and says “there was an error completely your workout but it’s saved so you can try again later” I’ve tried to complete it after 2 days and the same message comes up. Good app. Implementation could use some work.Overall, the app is very functional and has come a long way over the years, albeit with a few gripes. The first of which being you cannot view a specific exercise’s history directly from the workout if that exercise is a “warmup” or “superset”. This forces you to go back to the dashboard to see your history of weight used and is kind of a pain. Unsure what the reasoning behind that is. Additionally if you are replacing a reps only exercise (eg. pull-ups) in a workout with a different exercise that requires a weight input, the app will still only let you select how many reps you completed. I assume this is a bug of some sort but defeats the purpose of letting you replace exercises..Version: 3.0.0

Very good, but missing key functionality in app provided workouts which is available in free appsVery good fitness app. I appreciate the workout plan and the fact they include diet guidance, videos showing correct exercise form, etc. What I don’t like is that I see no way to swap a exercise in a Workout for an alternative which targets the same muscles but uses different or no equipment. I have a full rack and bench at home, dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells and plates. I don’t have smith machines, cable machines, leg press machines, etc. I find myself using JEFIT (Free version) now because it gives me similar workout plans but with the ability to edit the schedule and find alternate exercises based on the desired equipment and target muscle. App down since FridayI’m giving the app 4 stars generously. The structure of workouts that this app has is perfect! To be able to choose your workout, plug in your time, weight, sets is so much better than writing it down on paper or inserting into your notes. Unfortunately, the app has caused me an inconvenience since Friday night. It’s not slowing me to log in thru the app or website. I have no way to access my workout, or backtrack what the focus on todays meal plan is supposed to be. I’ve also had problems with it closing out or even logging me out, many times during my workouts. And finally, I don’t think the creators have ever made any major changes to the app as far as appearance or adding anything new or exciting…. Like you own THE gym/workout/nutrition/supplement brand, you should probably higher or employee someone that can make sure an app is up to date, new and appealing and actually functions. If you made it this far, I’ll still use the app and I’ll still buy from the website. Wifi/Cellular DependentGreat content, nice interface, and easy to use. One complaint - this app is heavily reliant on a good wifi or data connection. If you are working out at the gym that has a poor connection to either, the app will frustrate you. I've lost entire workout data before. Additionally, if you leave the app during a workout and immediately try to load back up with a poor connection, the loading screen will take forever. Fix the connectivity reliance and this is a 5 star app..Version: 2.22.0

Old school to new schoolI have always kept a note book tracking my workouts and so forth. This past Saturday a guy that’s usually on the gym at the same time I am showed my this app that he uses. I started using it Monday and I love it, I don’t have to go back through old notes and workouts to find new workouts or constant write down my amounts of weight used and reps. Great app / plans / productsI think the job you’ve done here is amazing, everything is super high end and very well presented and delivered. From an app point of view, I think it’s lacking of that extra 10% that will allow to track your fitness data and integrate it with activity / Apple Watch / workout. In order to get an overall idea on what done / burned. Rest Time on workouts can also be improved adding a customise field to allow more or less rest time in between sets. Plus will be great if the rest time alert will play a sound and override whatever audio your device is playing..Version: 2.14.0

Love this appI’ve had this app for about 3-4 years and it’s been amazing experience! Good Tracking AppAll in all I think it’s a great app and I enjoy using it daily. Two suggestions for the dev team; when entering notes, make it a bit more prominent that a note was added by either coloring the notes icon or putting the note on the track page at the top. It’s easy to forget you entered one and it would be nice to see these clearly the next workout for the same exercise. Also sometimes the “Save Set” button becomes hidden behind the “Complete” and “Next Exercise” button. Perhaps lock this button at the bottom as well as it’s easy to forget to log your last set of the button becomes hidden..Version: 2.9.1

Formerly BodySpace; Glitchy; Constantly Have to RedownloadThis is the newer cost version of BodySpace. BodySpace was amazing - a library of 6,000+ workout plans & exercise routines you could customize to fit your needs and expectations free to the public. Now, BodyFit requires a steep annual fee and includes far fewer, less customizable plans. The marketing aspects are a bit more polished, but comes off as a sponsorship cash-grab. Coincidentally, BodySpace no longer works at all - unsure why it’s available for download in the App Store if it was discontinued. Glitches/Bugs: Constantly having to delete my data for this app to get it to work. Sometimes it tries to get me to resubscribe saying that I haven’t already paid my membership fees. Other times, it just crashes, shuts down, or has endless loading screens. Highly disappointing transition from the original overall. Although the new one comes with a diet & supplements plan, each plan varies depending on what products are included in that trainer’s sponsorship. More internet pollution instead of genuine access to solid information. :/ Evidently providing an efficient and free/low-cost database to improve the public’s overall fitness & health is once again not as important as making a quick buck. Look elsewhere. Nike, under armor, and other fitness apps may be more reliable and have a wider array of micros-macros & calorie-burning tracking features included in a comparable cost —> better value..Version: 2.22.0

Need some things..It’s been a while since I’ve checked out your site — decided to go for a free trial. Really enjoying the new(?) workout tracking app ... however - it’s is lacking some really obvious features: 1. The “set timer” feature between sets is great - but it is not available after completing the final warmup set, before the “real” sets. Why no timer here? 2. Again - no timer after you complete an exercise, before moving to the next one. Should be able to time this too. 3. No “elapsed time” displayed ... 4. The chime at the end of the timer isn’t very loud (and sometimes doesn’t ding at all) ... would be ideal if there was a way to increase this volume, and to change the sound (make it a bell or something more loud - not a polite chime like I got an app notification) ... basically, no reason to not make this customizable Otherwise, so far so good — add those features and I’d say it’s 5 stars ... doing great!.Version: 2.15.0

Great App! saves money on trainer!I’ve been using the app for about 6 months now and it’s a great tool to have in the gym. Usually my personal trainers would be about $35-$50 per session with 2-3 sessions per week but this app has definitely replaced that. If you’re not used to gym floors and techniques I’d say get a trainer for 1 month then roll fully into this app. Ive used 3 of the unlimited plans they offer so far from basic levels to advance levels and the training videos plus reality shows of your workout programs are great to make one feel as if they really do have a personal trainer. I’m able to track my weights with repetition and keep a history of what I’ve done. The meal plans could be better with providing recipes and grocery lists, but for $5 per month you can complain. Needs Watch App & Health IntegrationI’d give this a 5 for content, 4 for the app itself. The app is very stable and I never have an issue with it - kudos to the engineering & QA teams for their effort. There are a few features it should have to make it a 5: Integration with Apple Health - why not just read my weight & body fat from my smart scale that records to Health? Apple Watch app - be great to do a workout and have it record to the Workout app Videos in landscape mode - I rotate my phone but still get the portrait mode, ugh Customizable rest timer - some plans use talk about different rest periods between sets but it looks like there is just a global setting Same exercise between two programs with different names & history - some of the programs prepend a prefix to the exercise name, most likely due to some programs have their own videos for the exercises, but the history should be applied to both Offline functionality for airplane mode weekends - I like to take breaks from always being connected and I’m not able to do that There are other apps that have the Apple Health integration & watch app, but they lack the content of the BodyFit app..Version: 2.16.0

More functionality neededI really like using the single day workouts to help me track my progress and have a clear workout to do when I go to the gym. That said, a lot of times I would love to add a single exercises to my workout that would also be tracked and data stored. Right now all I can do is replace a exercise and not add to the workout I’ve done. It would also be nice to make a custom workout that I can add and change as I progress or change up exercises. Keeps shutting down and loses my weightsIn the last year it keeps shutting down mid lift then I re log in. After that all my weights are lost. Also after two weeks there is no increase in weight displayed. 5% increase in two-four weeks would be nice to have so you have something to push to. Compared to BodySpace there is no online chat or brothers and sisters posing progress pics and chatting about lifting so there is no peer group either. Better than any personal trainer I’ve ever hadI’ve been using BodyFit since they were just a free website, and they’ve never failed me. They’ve made so many awesome improvements to this app, most notably with the holy grail of strength training - a very easy, solid weight/rep tracking system that makes it so simple to quickly log what you’re lifting and see how it progresses as you grow stronger. These programs are so comprehensive and actually teach you how to create sustainable programs that give results - in the way you look and feel but also in the progression of your physical and mental strength. Huge fan girl for life. Ditch the useless YouTube/Instagram workouts with no strategy for progression and get real results (and measure them), with this app..Version: 3.0.0

Worst tech supportAn issue with the app that had been going for days now and no one of the technical support team bothered themselves to address the issue, usually legit and reliable companies send emails to customers assuring them that the issue had been detected and working on it, but the people at bodyfit app care about collecting the membership renewals forgetting that we “the customers” are paying them to be on top of their services.Version: 3.0.0

Love it. But a minor suggestion.LOOOOOOOVE the workout tracking. I got so sick of bringing a notebook and pen and having to constantly go back to my phones stopwatch. It’s so amazing to have weight/set tracking plus a timer in an all in one in my phone. My only suggestion is I wish I could erase or edit the name of an exercise and also if I could add exercises to the end. I’m doing the “Living Large” Jay Cutler workout plan. But some exercises like dips I cannot due to shoulder pain so I wish I can delete that exercise out of the list. And then add in another exercise to replace it or add another exercise to the end of the workout that would be just perfect. Other than not being able to modify the workout exercises or order this app is perfect !.Version: 2.13.0

Love the selections of plansI have got to say, I always feel a little lost and redundant when I go into the gym. I feel like this has given me some really great perspective on what I should actually be doing to push myself. My 7 day trial is almost up and I am probably going to be switching to this app. The two suggestions I have that would make this app perfect is the app available on the Apple Watch, as well as it tracking the workout and syncing with Apple Health. It would be useful when trying to track my calories and such. I’d have to say that’s the one benefit that FitBod has over this app. The plans alone though are worth the switch to me..Version: 2.14.0

FantasticAll access c/w BodySpace app is a great tool to track you workouts. Obviously someone spent a great deal of time and effort to have an app that works. Great job BB.com.Version: 2.13.0
