✓ Great app, almost perfect!I was searching for a simple app to talk to my mother who can hardly hear, this has come the closest to prefect. A couple of things would make this prefect: first a way to toggle the talk button so the app can be left running sitting on a table. Second, adding a line break when there is a few seconds of silence, this would break the text up into paragraphs to make it easier to read. Thank you 🙏..Version: 1.2

✓ Sanity Saver for FamilyMy 92 year old father has Dementia AND is severely hearing impaired. However, his capacity for reading has remained intact. We had been communicating by writing things down, which was laborious at best, and often abandoned by the impatient. We were frustrated and gloomy. Hearing Helper changed all that. We can communicate effortlessly, and, as long as we limit the number of words we use at a time, he generally understands what we are saying. We keep a tablet handy at all times! We have also introduced Hearing Helper to doctors, memory care specialists, caregivers, friends and anyone we know who has to work with the hearing impaired. ✓ Easy to UseI downloaded this app to be able to communicate with my husband and it works really great. I appreciate that it doesn’t pick up the Television while I am speaking. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because you have to hold down the button while talking. I will get used to this, I’m sure, and it’s not terrible. Also, if you accidentally tap the screen it brings up the keyboard. I don’t feel the need to go back and correct anything, I just repeat that word. Some of those mistakes are pretty funny..Version: 1.6
✓ Quick and easy assistanceThe app is pretty good at picking up speech and translating it into text. It occasionally makes a mistake, but you can type on the keyboard to correct. I have found it very useful for having quick conversations where we need clarity for someone who is hard of hearing..Version: 1.7

✓ Great for my old mumMum mother is profoundly deaf and this works well. It struggles with some words but in a noisy cafe it was running at 85-90% which is pretty good. I’d second the button pushing issue. If you would like beta testing I’d be happy to do so..Version: 1.4

✓ Brilliant appI work with elderly people and we have a resident who all of a sudden lost hear hear. She’s always been very independent and was embarrassed when we had to approach her with pen and paper to be able to communicate with her. ✓ Nice app, would be awesome with updates!This app can hear when whispering from at least a foot away. I will try for longer distances next! Some updates that would be great... 1. Changing the mic button to "start" and "stop" functions. It would be great to not have to hold down the button in order to transcribe. My thumb gets tired easily (I find play games enough lol). 2. If possible having a way to do languages in the future! Otherwise the app is great so far! I have a deaf friend who I am trying to look for an alternative as i am trying to learn asl..Version: 1.6

✓ Great app for those with trouble hearing.This app works really well when I talk to my deaf nan. It’s really simple to use and I haven’t had an issue with the app miss-hearing my speech so far. Love the flip option, this is often missed on other apps. My only criticism is that I don’t like the haptic feedback every time I press the button. ✓ Very Helpful!!I use this with my mom and have all her aides use it too. Invaluable for communicating with her when hearing aids are just not doing enough. Doctors appointments, in the hospital and just regular conversation. Some improvements could be made on accuracy (similar android app is more accurate) but overall very very helpful..Version: 1.4

✓ A great blessing!This is my 2nd review! My mom is 92 and started to lose her hearing in 2011. Hearing aids no longer help. I used other apps, but they had ads that were interfering with communication. I began looking again and came across this app. It is simple, clean, and so easy to use! I have told so many people to download it so they can communicate with my mom who is now in an assisted living facility. Thank you so much for creating this app!
