Psychological tortureFor years this app to worked amazingly well it would tie into the interface in the store you would be put into the queue. It would give you an approximate time to arrive, which was incredibly accurate. They did an update a few months ago, and according to the store that I go to, this did not affect every sport clips, but it certainly has affected the branch that I go to the app will tell you to be there in 40 or 50 minutes and you’ll show up 10 minutes early the app shows you’re still in the queue when you get to the store. Reality - It’s a two hour wait and when you look at the TV screen inside the store it says two hours you hold your phone up right in front of it it says 10 minutes and they’re not gonna touch you for two hours and they can’t reach corporate. Corporate has not responded to them. The developer of the app won’t return their phone calls. the store manager asked me to give them a one star review and put in the comments the problem because they couldn’t get any action. I feel so sorry for this franchise owner - corporate won’t even take their calls. Crazy!.Version: 1.37.0

Crappy systemI was driving so I called my local Sports Clips and they told me that one person was ahead of me. My normal stylist was not available yet so she said just come on in and I’d likely be her first customer. I did not want to risk it so I open my app and click the first available to check in. When I arrived, I was number two as expected. After going to the restroom I came out and now I was number four and my preferred stylist was given to someone else who was not on the list when I arrived. My Stylist has not yet started her shift at this point. What is the point of an app to help save you time and manage your time if it doesn’t work. Long time Sports Clips customer who buys the most expensive treatment every time. Looks like I’m going elsewhere..Version: 1.25.3

Very badI have taken my children twice and they have left desepcionado because they have not done well what they want and I do not take them anymore there even today I took my youngest child and I showed him a picture of what he wanted and on several occasions I had to say to fix it because it was not like that and anyway it did not stay as I wanted in case there are doubts there is one who works there called Nathalie is very slow, works with fear and almost put my child's head down knees to trim and after all I did not speak to entertain him that was the one I had to say today to fix several times the cut so I do not recommend the place because it does not have charisma or friendliness.Version: 1.25.3

Good - but could be better. I don’t do the MVP because of it.This is really good now - but my last several experiences (at different locations) the initial estimated time has been way off by 30 minutes or more. A lot of factors will determine the wait time including the more difficult cuts and clients that do the MVP. I tend not to get the MVP knowing that there’s a long backup of clients and I know it’ll back things up further if I do. Also quite often my in store wait was much longer than expected planned and I just don’t have the time. I would be more inclined to if the app would give a more realistic time with a range based on the various factors. I.e. 30-50 minutes. There could probably be better AI built in the back-end that looks at client history, time of year/week/day/weather/events and the cutter’s speed and success on selling MVP. It seems that it would help predict staffing needs as well. Would also be nice to have the app alert you based on est travel time and updated estimated time for your cut..Version: 1.36.0

App has big flaws and missed opportunitiesTerrible there isn’t a placeholder for stylists breaks. Arrived, checked in, said 2 minute wait and then jumped to 30. When inquired why I was told the stylist had to go on break. They certainly deserve a break but the system should allow a “dummy” appointment to factor into the wait times. It would be extremely helpful if the app allowed you to select an appointment time for better planning. Could even create a subscription model for “VIP” guests to unlock this feature. Winging it and hoping the wait times are accurate can be a nightmare and in some cases a huge waste of time if you end up having to cancel your slot..Version: 1.33.0

The wait times are a lie.I don't know if it's just this particular store, or the app, but the wait times are ALWAYS WRONG! They will give away your time slot in a heartbeat. I received a text stating I was next in line. I walk into the store three minutes later, I'm now 2nd in line with at least an extra 15 minute wait. The last time I had an actual appointment, my stylist finished her previous cut five minutes early, so she took on another 30-minute haircut before getting to me. I walked in to her seating another customer. It may not sound like much, but it's annoying to try to plan your day around things like this. If you have all day to sit around, at least you'll get a decent hair cut. If you want to plan in advance, call someone else..Version: 1.31.10

Punished for checking in with appI downloaded the app and checked in for a haircut. Arrived just before the estimated time and sat for another 45 mins. Right as my name was “on deck” it disappeared. I had to wait until another hair dresser was available to mention it. They didn’t really know what to do. Eventually the assistant manager was called from break to cut my hair. She gave me the worst haircut I ever received and had to spend another 20 minutes waiting for another hairdresser to fix my hair. When I asked the manager about the app she told me to don't even bother using it as they can’t control how it works and aren’t sure how they estimate wait times it’s best to just go in. Just Skip the app and just show up. You’ll probably wait less..Version: 1.25.3

App is trashSigned up for the app per the recommendation of the stylist at our first visit. Noticed that the information (zip and phone) saved on my profile was incorrect. I’ve updated and saved the corrected info several times and it continues to revert back to the incorrect info. Contacted support and was told to update via the website. I did that. Everything is correct there, but the app continues to show incorrect information. Wouldn’t care except the fact that my phone number is wrong, so I can’t get text alerts or use my phone number to check in. My account doesn’t exist because it’s the wrong number!!! Worthless service to have because it doesn’t even work!!! Highly disappointed and frustrated!!!.Version: 1.25.3

Good and Bad pointsThe good stuff. It’s convenient and really easy to use. I really like that can see the wait times at the shops around me. Booking reservations is super easy but the app assumes you can walk right in if they’re not busy. 1) It would be good for client and shop if you could tell them when you’ll be there whether it’s 20 mins or an hour. 2) It should keep a log of past appts and also the stylist who cut your hair. You’re often told who you prefer, but most people can’t remember. The app keeps me coming back because it’s convenient for short notice appts. It needs the improvements to go from 3 stars to 5..Version: 1.35.0

Getting better….In some cases there is visibility for stylists starting a shift in the next few hours. That’s a good step forward; even better would be visibility into the stylists working the next day and what hours. That would be a great help for planning. The viewing of store hours needs redone. Stores that fill their wait list 2 hours before closing, have the button grayed out disallowing check-in since it’s fully booked. But for some reason you have to go through check-in to see the store open and close times for all days. It does t help me to know when the store closes today after you tell me the list is full. However, knowing the hours it’s open tomorrow would be very useful..Version: 1.33.0

Sport Clips FailSport Clips fail. Checked in with Sport Clips app and when arrived my name wasn’t on the wait list. Still had the confirmation and arrival time showing l in the app. (Yes, I was on time.) Their only solution was to check in again and wait 40 more minutes. Said I wasn’t going to do that and wait. The stylist said that 2 of them just finished and they would call the names in the list and if the people weren’t there, then they would take me. Fortunately for me there was only one other guy. The stylist who ended up cutting my hair said they have been having major problems with app/online check in and many customers complaining. If this is their customer service model and app performance...then wondering if I’ll ever go back..Version: 1.20

Locked doors, empty stores, no noticeI spent 20 minutes waiting outside a store this morning, knowing that the first 5 minutes before the app takes folks can get you in sooner. The doors remained locked. At 5 past the hour, the store was “at capacity” in the app. A deceitful technique. Iterated but still in need of a haircut, I picked another location up the road that was open …. According to the app. I drove over 10 minutes down the road having been added to the waitlist. Upon arrival, I found locked doors, no lights, and people waiting in the parking lot. False advertising and wasting people’s time. Twice bitten. BTW, the folks who work here are always great. This is purely a poorly run business model that can’t keep good folks happy. Enjoy the rent contracts for locations with empty chairs..Version: 1.35.0

People can check in in front of youThis app is a good idea, but has a major flaw. Today I checked in at 3:20 PM with a wait time is 45 minutes for my stylist. I went and confirmed that I was checked in and waiting for my stylist to be done. It said I hadOne minute but after waiting several minutes it bumped me up to 30 minute wait! That is simply not acceptable. You can’t have an app that lets you check in for a certain time. And then put someone else in front else that person and push their wait time back so far. There is a reason that people use the app to check And that reason is to skip going all the way to the store to check in and then have to come back again later. It was very annoying as I don’t have much time during the week to get a haircut. Please fix this!.Version: 1.25.3

Sign inI get a haircut once in a while. The only way to call ahead to get a haircut is to use the app. In my area there are 5 Sportsclips within a few miles and some are busy and some aren’t but it’s not always a fixed thing. The only way I can see which doesn’t have a wait is to use the app so the feature they have with the map can be very helpful. The issue is I have to sign in every time I open the app. First world problem I know but having to change the password every single time because I forget is very frustrating. If I’m in the car and don’t have time for the authentication process I’ll just go to Greatclips or Supercuts, which is cheaper as well. Love the haircut I get in the store, but the app is an absolute backbreaker..Version: 1.25.3

Difficult to useIt gets the job done, but its not well designed and isn’t user friendly. The app signs me out just about every time I use it. I have to sign back in repeatedly and the domain for the app isn’t the same name so its difficult to find the password in a password manager. Once you are checked in its not easy to find your wait. You have to click through several nested menus and screens to find the waitlist. The suggested time and your individual wait time are hidden as well, and when you do find them its in the smallest font of anything else on the screen. Sure the app does all the things its supposed to but its very lacking in user experience and ease of use. Definitely do not use the app while you’re driving or if you aren’t 100% present. You have to stop what you’re doing, focus, wander around the app - if you don’t, you won’t be able to use it..Version: 1.36.0

Needs DevelopmentIt’s really annoying that you cant schedule appointments for future dates. Even as simple as the store is opening at 9AM here but it’s 8:30AM. I can’t see who is working to see if I want to schedule my appointment or not. I realize that this issue is the epitome of White People Problems.. but I’ve run into this issue so many times that it has become ridiculous. In the same fashion, if I called into Sports Clips it should be just as easy to schedule an appointment instead of being told I need to download the app. I wouldn’t care if it was with an automated system.. but for a company as developed as you are. You would think you would focus on making things easier for the customers instead of centered around what works for you..Version: 1.25.3

Missing Check-InI attempted to make a remote check-in through this app. The time was confirmed on my iPhone screen. I kept the screen open so that I could show the stylists in case there was a problem. I arrived at the time recommended by the app, but my name was not on the local check-in list. The stylist wasn’t terribly sympathetic about this and mentioned that they have nothing to do with the app. I had to reregister and that put me at the bottom of the queue. It appears that the online check-ins are not being synced with the local store’s check-in. This is a big negative! While I like the service I get at Sports Clips, I’ll just call instead of using this app!.Version: 1.25.3

AwfulWhy is there no “electronic” season ticket? It is almost 2020 why do I have to carry pieces of paper around for season ticket? And to make matters worse — the season tickets only work at certain locations... There are 4 locations near me and each have different franchise owners that don’t accept season tickets from the location a few miles away. So I either need to have season tickets from 4 different locations (more freaking paper to carry and track) or what is the alternative? The best part of a haircut “chain” is a consistent experience, but the season ticket is 1. not consistent 2. is not usable at more than one location 3. is not modern (paper vs electronic). Note: I don’t use cash. I don’t carry a physical wallet. I use Apple Pay on my phone (and no, I’m not a millennial). McDonald’s are independent franchises too, but their coupons can be used at other locations. Can you please escalate to a VP (or higher) to assist??? **Please don’t tell me to contact you.** If you want to respond, please tell me (and all of your season ticket customers) what the plan is to resolve this issue. Make sense?.Version: 1.31.9

Some annoyancesWish I could give it a 3.5. I’ve been using the app for a while and it worked great minus some discrepancies between app wait time and the actual wait in the store. Back in the original state I lived in typically the actual wait was shorter, not that big of an issue but probably inconvenient for the employees. Recently have moved states and now the app is saying the wait is 30 minutes shorter than the stores actual wait. (This has occurred 3 times now) I check in had about 28 minute wait, I arrive a minute before recommended arrival time and my wait on the board in store is 38 minutes still. So pretty much the annoyance has shifted from the employee to me..Version: 1.36.0

Better than nothing, but a dumb system overallWhat I want is something simple. I want to be able to check in for a specific arrival time later today. The current estimate would put me at the top of the list too early. So I have to wait until other people get on the list and the estimate gets longer. But if I don’t check back at exactly the right time, the list could fill up and have me waiting for over an hour at the time I was to come in, or the entire day could fill up suddenly. That’s an idiotic system. Not everyone can just take what time you give them and drop everything at an arbitrary time to get a haircut. Please add appointment time booking to your app..Version: 1.33.0

Can’t check in 4 people at onceI’m a dad with 3 boys and the app goes nuts and will not function when trying to check in 4 people at once. It just repeatedly asks me if I’m ok with a wait time that is one minute different over and over and won’t complete check in. I can only check in myself when I remove all other guests and start over. Then calling the store they cannot check in anyone else until we physically arrive and when I finally arrive they have to check in my sons manually and after everyone else 30 min later than my scheduled time. I understand I’m not the normal single person checking in but this system is completely useless for me. I’m going to look elsewhere if not resolved at my next visit..Version: 1.31.11
