Opera Browser with VPN and AI for Negative User Reviews

Ok butI like opera for its privacy features one major issue Why does VPN disconnect every time I load a site and I have to reconnect manually It needs to have a setting where it won’t do that And also not load unless VPN is on if connected and give me the option to disconnect VPN if network is slow not just do it automatically.Version: 4.4.0

Really goodCould use some of the features from the desktop though. Adblocking....exe Great browser though.Version: 2.3.1

Terrible to the point of being unusableI don’t like leaving negative reviews but this browser is so bad, so unusable and so disappointing that I feel I must. The whole concept of “flow” is poorly considered - why do I need a dialogue with myself (desktop browser to phone)? Where are the saved links? Why doesn’t my password manager work with it? All in all a terrible browser and made much more disappointing given how fantastic the Opera desktop browser works..Version: 2.3.0

Needs bookmarks and bookmarks syncBookmark sync with other opera browser versions should at least be an option if not default. The fact that I can not use or organise any of my bookmarks when on my iPad with opera really ruins my browsing experience. I have to wait until I’m home to visit certain pages or to save new one with opera. How did they ever think this was a good idea? I like the rest of the browser and the flow is a nice feature but it could never replace the bookmarks sync found in better browsers..Version: 1.11.1

Fast & FluidOn and off I’ve used Opera since it came out. This version on iOS is fast, fluid and simple to use. However, whilst there’s nothing to really dislike about it, ultimately I’ve deleted it. Opera just wasn’t dragging me away from Safari, there was nothing it really did any better. In today’s iOS ecosystem we’ve really refined the browser. It’s a bit like Euro-Box hatchback cars, they all do a reasonable job and there is little to differentiate between brands. I took the view while Opera was good it was just taking up space on my iPad and not really offering anything substantially unique..Version: 2.5.1

Certain Features Need WorkRecently, I’ve noticed certain websites are non-functional on the browser including major UK news sites, perhaps due to the cookies they use (I could name them but not sure if allowed). Opera needs to make sure it works with all cookie applications / extensions. It is impossible to scroll through these sites, or navigate menus, etc, when you open them. The site just freezes & becomes unworkable. As a separate issue, also frequently, a message dialogue box comes up saying “Opera cannot open the page because the address is invalid”. This is on a site that is open & working. If you click “OK” on the dialogue box, it disappears & the site is working & navigable again. It would be helpful if Opera could resolve both of these issues..Version: 3.4.0

Crazy for a mobile browser to refresh page unless requestedBrowser itself seems ok. The one touch shortcut a reasonable idea, though could be tweaked a bit better. but utterly crazy and disruptive that if you go away from the app for a short while it resets to Home and loses the current page. And even if it keeps hold of the page it decides to refresh! and promptly loses the content if you are not in coverage! So using this while away from home is an exercise in frustration..Version: 1.6.0

Is slow sometimes, but other then thatWhy is typing so slow?.Version: 4.3.1

Just okIts an ok browser, but they really need to fix the issue where if a link opens in a new tab you can't swipe left to get back to the original tab, instead swiping left takes you to a blank tab page, which you have to manually close and then reopen the previous page. Its a minor issue but in the age of modern browsers that all navigate the same way its odd that they chose to make it take extra steps. Also odd that when you close all your tabs it doesn't go back to the home page, it just defaults to an empty screen, then you need to open a new tab before you see your bookmarks. If both of those were fixed this would be 5 stars *Update - After a few weeks I am now seeing full page unclosable adds on major websites I used to visit without issues. Something is broken with their ad blocking.Version: 3.1.6

I have been using it for long time but...That had been my favourite browser but you broke that experience with the latest update. When entering a website address it shows suggestions and once one is happy and selects a suggestion (the purple highlight disappears) instead of going to a website it Googles for an incomplete phrase entered before selecting the suggestion... Super annoying....Version: 1.11.0

Could be betterWould be better if it allowed for file saving direct to my iPad, rather than having to copy and paste the URL of the files I want into another browser and save them from there. Seems archaic not to just be able to save files, such as purchased PDF books from the browser I’m paying to use (via VPN Pro.) Also, why does VPN Pro still block me from watching certain content when Proton VPN does not? Like History Channel for instance. Videos still say ad blocker is on, when all the ad blockers have been switched off. But, when I switch off VPN Pro and just go back to the free Proton VPN I can watch them just fine. Seems like not all is well in the state of Denmark… or Norway..Version: 3.6.4

Gr8 but font 2 small.Gr8 but font 2 small..Version: 4.5.0

Only good on desktopDesktop great. iOS, the settings button and settings menu too small. Flow is a bit unreliable and is too hidden away, in my opinion. Nice to maybe have an option to go to it using the blue navigation circle (that’s used to switch tabs)..Version: 3.1.7

No sync with desktop, therefore no bookmarks or passwords accessPerhaps as a standalone browser might be okay. but in terms of connectivity it’s a terrible browser as their sync option won’t allow you to access any of your desktop browser data at all. after doing sync there is nothing you can do to bring your data into your phone. It’s crazy how this has 5 star reviews and also devs ignoring this issue for years now..Version: 4.3.2

Better than the default apple browser but.....This browser has a few of the main features of its PC version but is missing many of the best such as sidebar and extensions. While this is still one of the best for anonymous web browsing it is worth noting that it is not able to open some pages, even with its security features disabled. On pages it does open, the controls do not always work. When I’ve run into the latter problem it usually has some sort drop down selection menue problem. On my PC this is my default browser but i still mostly use chrome as my main browser for apple devices because of website compatibility issues..Version: 3.0.4

Should be more like the desktop appI can see you guys have put a lot of effort into the design but you already have a great product, opera desktop is so much better and I would love to have an app that works well with it even simple things aren’t there that’s on the desktop version such as workspaces and easier syncing across desktops.Version: 3.0.3

Requires PatienceEasily could be 5 stars, but 2 major mistakes cause me to waste more than double the time I would otherwise spend in a browser. There's little benefit to using this mobile version, so it's just not worth it. The first one noticed is that address bar search is limited to a short list of browsers which track everything you look up. With the one exception of Wikipedia which is not a web browser. The only point to using Opera is that the browser doesn't track me, but the only way to get that benefit is to manually navigate to a nontracking search engine every single time. This also means typing out full web addresses, otherwise it just does the search (like all browsers) and you're being tracked. Unless you set the search engine to Wikipedia, which is unhelpful 99.9% of the time. The most significant issue is that it does not have in page history. It automatically opens a new window every time one clicks a link, so you quickly have dozens of windows open for the same site. There is no forward button but there is a back arrow which just jumps you to the last window, keeping the new window open. Super messy, laggy, tedious, and time consuming to deal with..Version: 3.1.0

Missing bare essentials for a usable browserClaims to have “must have features” but doesn’t even have the bare basic features that almost all other browsers support. There is no support for bookmarks, saving passwords, or syncing with opera on the desktop. It’s funny how opera mini (the predecessor to this app, which was a lot more usable) has been forced replaced by this app - which is worse in every way. Normally I wouldn’t leave a negative review like this, but I am doing so as a nice usable app was replaced with this one, for which I see absolutely no reason for..Version: 2.1.0

Opera email on iOS not visibleCannot find my opera.com email to confirm my email for opera. Keep getting stuck in a loop to verify the link sent to my opera.com email but cannot find any way to get into my opera.com email even though I am logged into my opera.com account!.Version: 4.2.0

Loved for a while, now uninstallingSo I’ve used this browser for months since getting my iPad Air 3 and have loved it immensely in the time I’ve used it. But in the last few weeks (and I have no idea if this is related to an update or something because I haven’t changed anything as far as settings) the browser has started refusing to open any page in Desktop Mode by default. It’s only opening them in Mobile by default, which means every single page I open I have to switch ‘desktop mode’ on manually, which I did not have to do at any point in the last few months before. This has become an irritation I cannot handle anymore. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. There is no Advanced Settings with an option to change user agent in this version of Opera, therefore I have found no way to fix it. So unfortunately I will have to go back to another browser until this issue is fixed because it is the most annoying thing I’ve ever dealt with on a browser..Version: 2.4.6

Not always user friendlyI love the sleekness of the browser, however I find it difficult to add pages to my bookmarked section on mobile. This and other issues such as tab navigation make it sometimes difficult to use..Version: 4.3.1

Rubbish on ipadBroken. No sidebar, no easy-setup btn to enable. New page pop up and prefs no sidebar Ref to enable so no extensions and bookmarks, history… Help and doc Ref/describe old or other platform versions. Chatbot “AI” Refers to new page pop up which not include sidebar entry then bails. Hard to tell if released this way intended or just bug ridden as no release info I could find and searches as above. 1 star as that’s min stupid App Store interface allows tho on ipad opera suppresses pop up’s and ads from install (tho this needs to be enabled ) and it’s quick on load and display web content. ☹️.Version: 4.2.3

DecentPretty good browser . the sites load faster on slower networks while using mobile. more privacy features would be appreciated and if they could add a "play audio in background" feature, that would be useful. may update review later. overall its probably the fastest mobile browser, its just lacking in settings(in general), and when doing a search "type in address" thebmost common URL i type in shows up all the way at the bottom of search reccomendatuons which is annoying because 99% of the time im just trying to go to the URL(which takes up only one space) instead I see tons of google's search reccomendations when all i want is to go to the URL im begining to type, theres no autocomplete either in this case until youve typed the URL a million times. the opera browser should reccomend and autocomplete the url quicker so i dont have to keep typingr the url i previously visited, over and over and over again. its a fast browser though, probably because it does a good job at blocking unnessasary ads or something, so overall a decent browser which needs some more featrues on mobile..Version: 3.2.12

Bug for iPadsBe careful if your downloading because I had a technical problem with my iPad because of the app, As soon as I entered my password it would have a loading screen and send me to the lock page. One time the iPad had to recover data due to this bug. But besides that it’s a great browser.Version: 3.2.9

Missing crucial featuresOK opera I have to ask where did you put bookmarks? Why did you get rid of bookmarks? People need their bookmarks people love their bookmarks. Please bring them back. I love the browser but without bookmarks it’s a quick uninstall..Version: 2.6.2

Could be better...I keep getting ads! Im on ios 12, i cannot enable extensions either! I want to watch a video but it keeps opening new tabs and pop ups its anoyying!.Version: 4.4.2

This Opera doesn’t sing. No news feed preferences. This app feels like it’s at v0.1Average search not really anything different added to the Google search engine to make me interested in this app. And to add insult to injury absolutely no choice in the topics of news results are all negative news articles which definitely puts me off from wanting to really use this app. The settings are barebones equating to a v0.1 development app. Again a star rating is one because zero is not available..Version: 4.4.1

One thing spoils everythingI use Opera on both computer and phone. Computer is cool. On the phone app there are no favourite tabs from the computer. I often switch between phone and PC and use the same tabs. Thinking to go back to Firefox where they synchronised tabs /folders and whatever I saved in one device I can always easily access on another without sending to flow etc. (Flow is great btw for small non repetitive things)..Version: 2.5.3

Unable to use bookmark between computer and iPhoneOpera is a good little browser, quick and easy to use the quick button once you get used to it. I bookmarked websites a lot and like to view at different devices. Unfortunately opera doesn’t offer the option to log into the account on iPhone, which means that you have to manually copy the website to computer with iPhone next to you. It’s not convenient and made me nervous that I may lose bookmarks someday, it’s too much effort to keep tracking which websites is saved on one device and which one has been saved on multiple devices. Opera, please fix this problem. Otherwise you are going to lose a good amount of users..Version: 4.1.0

So bad but wait…Opera for iPhone is atrocious (on an iPhone 14). Try searching for anything or typing a url and the key input slows down to the point of being unusable. The publisher/developer continues to say they will fix it but in 2 years they have fixed absolutely nothing. It has amazing potential as it has some great features and capabilities; but the slows and lack of support from Adobe (or whoever the developer is) completely ruins any kind of enjoyable experience. Do not use opera. At least until it is fixed and supported properly..Version: 4.5.0

NOT FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH iPad OS-13It is fast. BUT, Lots of “new features”, are all dubious benefit or usefulness, or functionality. And, these appear to be at expense of core functions that have become mediocre at best. Problems are: 1, Saving to PDF or iBooks causes it to freeze. 2, Too limited options to save web page . 3, Open link in new tab inconsistently works. 4, Will not open or copy web pages to iBooks. 5, IMPOSSIBLE TO BOOKMARK and categorize bookmarks, as every other browser easily does, 6, frequently , it freezes and must be restarted. 7, Way too difficult to print web pages let alone print them accurately as WYSIWYG. 8, Needs more viewing options and ability to limit videos or resize them, 9, inconsistent spell check. 10, Navigation is needlessly difficult, inconsistent and non-intuitive, 11, Where is the ‘go back’ or ‘previous page, button? 12, What moron decided to put a screen blocking purple circle in middle of screen that doesn’t go away??. IN SUMMARY, IT IS NOT FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH iPad OS-13..Version: 2.1.0

Love the app, except for the stuff I hate.I had planned, is evermore the same “Stop!“ Please show me the respect and common decency that I deserve by not hijacking my process and requiring me to answer a question before I can be free to complete my tasks. Please assume my intelligence and ability to find an use a “contact us” link to submit my suggestions and feedback should I choose to do so. I am extremely busy and have difficulty focusing on any one task in the midst of annoyances and distractions. It seems to me the reasonable question for your company would be: “do we want this individual using/exploring the benefits of our product or would we rather interrupt his thought process and cause him to forget what the heck he was trying to use it for in the first place, or would we rather have him click yes or no and then give us an answer that we won’t be actionable with anyway, and in this way end up with no changes to our annoying policies and now a potential upgrade gone, or a referral to new business is left feeling unappreciated and frustrated with nothing nice to say about the product?”.Version: 3.2.0

History doesn’t fully deleteHistory doesn’t fully delete. When I type into the URL/search bar, there is still a history listed after deleting all history, cached, etc, for all time..Version: 4.4.2

So-so but a poor cousin to desktop versionI tried this app for five minutes before realising that it was not very good at what it claimed to be and disappointingly nowhere near as good as the desktop version. The ad blocker doesn’t work very well - not at all on Twitter (other iOS browsers like Brave can block most Twitter ads) and the private option does not have the optional VPN which the desktop version has. So, no real reason to choose it over Brave so although I’ll keep it installed, it probably won’t get much use..Version: 3.3.3

No bookmarksIs pretty good but I gave up to use it because it doesn’t have bookmarks sync with my desktop one!.Version: 1.11.0

Password DilemmaCan’t save passwords!.Version: 3.2.9

Latest update no goodI really liked this browser but the latest update has taken away the ability to copy and paste images from the browser to other apps and there is no longer a button to click to access the launch page next to the url bar..Version: 4.2.1

Might be injecting it’s own affiliate cookies?Functionally this is a good browser someone’s labourer of love, but be weary if your intention is to earn cashback via Topcashback or Quidco. I don’t like making an such assumption on a whim and theirs no easy way verifying it, but I can say with confidence that in over seven years of earning cash-back that I’ve only once ever experienced this problem, whereby an application would overwrite your own affiliate link so aggressively and that was LastFM, that had an advertisement banner running in one tab refreshing itself endlessly looking to catch you out, then as now I simply cancelled the order after the casback failed to track, in this particular instance Opera would have netted itself over £68 in affiliate revenue🥺 on my purchase. I can understand if something’s free then your the product they have to pay their staff on something, and if I’d clicked on a link or visible banner add to make my purchase as Google does all the time fine, but to actively run your affiliate link on a clean browser(no-open-tabs) from an external link that’s all kinds of greasy. Have left as neutral a score as possible as I can never be 100% of the above, but when theirs that much money on the line, I’m very cautious about what cookies are on my browser, something’s definitely off here..Version: 3.0.4

Improve search suggestionThe problem is if you don’t chose google as your default search engine it won’t suggest you anything in the search bar. I don’t use google so it became annoying to write the full website or sentence..Version: 3.2.16

Honest reviewI love Opera and specially Opera Gx, so i had to try it on the phone. What i like the most is My Flow- picking up where i left since im on the go, brilliant for time saving. The computer tabs so i dont have have to look over again what i was having on my laptop. I also like the animation ghost in the private tab and that i could go easily in there. I really like the app but i wish it could improve. Ad-blocking feature is good and doing the job, thumbs up. What i dont like but i dont hate it: • the interface looks clean but i wish it the colours to be customisable • the button with all your tabs, going back and forth etc, i wish i could select to bound it somewhere on the screen or to select if i want to have extra things in there. It is a good idea but sometimes not quite practical, i would also love to set it to appear anywhere else but not in the middle • i dont have a VPN feature, that would be brilliant since i have it on the laptop and it's working really good. Keep up the good work, you are doing great ;).Version: 1.11.0

Ca ne bloque pas la publicitéJ’avais pris ce navigateur pour le bloqueur de pub mais le bloqueur de pub ne marche pas.Version: 4.4.0

Good browser but not good for newsI am not interested in any of the options listed for news. I would like my local news. I do not need to know what is happening in every other city but the one I live in. Had to turn news off as it does not provide anything relevant to me..Version: 4.1.1

Bookmark support on iPadYou can add bookmarks, but they can only be stored on the Speed Dial screen on an iPad. There is no folder capability. There is a Mobile option that allows folder creation, but no way to move the bookmarks from the Speed Dial screen nor anyway to display those folders when browsing. Turning off Speed Dial in Settings, hides the bookmarks and no way to access them. The Ad blocking ability is great. I can read stuff without having it covered up like it does in Safari and Firefox, where the Ad blocking is useless as the pages still get covered up with ads. I use Opera on my desktop and laptop, where it is my "goto" browser, but not a happy camper on the iPad where bookmarking and organizing them should be easy and fully supported..Version: 4.3.2

Ouverture de sessionPourquoi je ne peut pas me connecter avec mon compte afin d’avoir la synchronisation ???.Version: 4.4.1

Great browserThe is very innovative and nice to use but there are some glaring issues eg there is no way to contact customer support. You just go round in circles from link to link. The website is literally designed to prevent you from contacting customer support. I’ve been waiting a year for customer support to respond. I tried opera forums and have eventually had some input from other users about how to actually find my own posts once posted, which is not as easy as you think it might be. There’s no button for My Posts..Version: 3.1.1

Very disappointedWith all the blocking features activated I am getting more cookie warnings than ever. Perhaps my expectations are too high and functional blocking of cookie warnings are outside the scope/ capability of app developers but it was billed as an effective solution. Ad blocking is good though, even stops some websites from loading. Does not seem to support full screen video on websites either. Looks nice and is fast but not as expected so back to Safari for me..Version: 2.5.5

Chinese spyware🤙Yeahh….Version: 4.5.0

Always 1 notificationIt doesn’t say where it came from. It just shows 1 in red circle on its icon. Doesn’t matter whether you have news enabled or not as soon as you give the app the permission to show notification after a fresh reinstall it shows that 1. Maybe the PR team at Opera GX can make fun of this..Version: 4.5.0

It’s okay, I’ve used better browsers. This seems to be heavily based off Google Chrome iOS browser, so not much to differentiate the Opera iOS browser from it other than the fast-action button at the bottom and some niche crypto wallet-stuff. The one-handed, fast-action button is rather innovative and easy to use, which I like. I notice webpages tend to load slowly or sometimes not at all such as a Wikihow article I was trying to reload in the Opera iOS mobile browser. I don’t notice these loading issues with Safari iOS or Firefox iOS. My biggest peeve is that there is no “reader view” like the ones in Mozilla Firefox iOS mobile and Apple Safari iOS to enlarge the micro-sized fonts that are used by websites and displayed nearly-unreadable in this browser. Also, when you open the app, it automatically opens a new tab instead of opening on the last opened tab. I prefer starting off reading from the last tab I had open. I find it annoying to close a new tab page that I didn’t call for. Even Firefox iOS made a setting to toggle this feature on or off after user feedback. I notice Opera doesn’t seem interested in user feedback as much as Mozilla..Version: 3.2.8

No bookmarks makes this browser worthless.I’ve been an Opera user since the early days of Opera on PC. I’ve always appreciated that they continually try to innovate when designing new browsers. However, innovation has to be tempered by practicality. In this case no matter how good the browser is, the fact that it has no bookmark system, no way to record the location of pages you may wish to revisit in the future, makes this browser worthless for anyone bar the lightest if web users. If you visit the same 3 or 4 sites everyday and don’t require to go further than that, then it is great, but if you are someone who makes full use of the Web, then look elsewhere..Version: 2.3.1

Hardly useable— Please add bookmarksAdd bookmarks and workspaces and you have someone who’ll forever use this app. Yet, I Might have to leave for something useable which is sad because you guys have the perfect desktop app. But I need my bookmarks so I can save research projects and shopping lists etc. Y’all have something great, but without basic bookmarks, I can’t use it. Or if you don’t want to, at least sync bookmarks with Chrome instead of having to import them on PC, that way I can use whatever browser and actually have my bookmarks. Hope you guys’ll do something. This app has so much potential.Version: 2.5.1

New ai feature is a jokeThe ai built into this web browser cannot browse the internet itself and instead just collects personal information so opera can sell your data to google for profit. there is a setting in the opera app (selling data to google) to turn that aspect of the ai off, But that being said.. I can only imagine what is in the fine print in that "agreement" which all users are required to sign before using this ai with very little useability and essecially is just another data collection tecnique. There are other chatbots that do not sell your data and I would reccomend using something like perplexity which can actually access the realtime internet instead of this joke. you would think an ai built into a web browser would atleast be able to access the internet😂.Version: 4.4.1

Typing is painfully slow in latest updateTyping since aria was added lags to about a character a second. It’s painful and opera will be uninstalled if it’s not fixed. Note that aria is off and it is slow for all search engines with all search enhancements off. Other browsers do not have this problem..Version: 4.4.1

Simple functions are hidden or difficult to findI downloaded this hoping to find a better browser, but found it frustrating to setup. First of all, what browser does not support cmd-F to search a page? I went into the menu and there was was “find on page” or anything. Second, I wanted to import my browsing data from chrome or edge on my iPad and could not find that option in settings, or within the iPad/opera settings. Third, obviously I wanted to log in, I thought maybe I needed to log in to find these features - where is the log-in option?! I luckily clicked on their AI button and that section asked me to log in. But the settings section did not change, no where to import my data. I checked the opera website and they say “sync all your data!” But they don’t explain how! I clicked HELP and looked in the settings section but no import option, I tried to search the page but cmd-f does not work! So I deleted it and now here we are. I did enjoy their AI reply when I asked them how do I import data from chrome/edge to opera. The reply highlighted the words I used but in their response. I thought was awesome as it personalized the inquiry and re-affirmed my request. However, the reply said to click on the opera logo on the upper left (there isn’t an opera logo on the upper left) and to go to settings, bookmarks and click import (which does not exist)..Version: 4.4.2

Tried to love itI tried opera browser for a few weeks. Kept freezing and ultimately had to go to another browser to finish whatever I was doing. This happened repeatedly over several weeks. I think I gave it a fair shot. By the way: I tried it a few years ago and can’t say it’s improved much except maybe in its layout. Maybe work on function going forward. Pretty but useless is ‘pretty useless’.Version: 4.4.1

It does not block YouTube ads anymore.Disappointed.Version: 3.5.4

Uhm..I really love opera and it was working really well until suddenly, nsfw images would just appear under the search bar for no reason. There’s no way to get rid of it as well. It just makes me feel really uncomfortable and it always bothered me..Version: 3.2.2

Annoying bugs when opening new tabI love this browser, I really do. It's faster then any other browser I tried on my aging iPad Air. But, there are a few annoying things about it: 1. Open page in a new tab - On some websites, when I long-press on a link, it freezes completely. The new tab dialog doesn't show up at all. I replicated this bug on aljazeera . com website where it continues happening. On other websites, the new tab dialog appears slightly off screen, for whatever reason, so I can't press on it. Annoying. 2. Tab management - annoying. Why should I have to press a button that would take me to all my tabs after playing a 0.5 second animation. Waste of time. I want to access all tabs instantly..Version: 2.2.1

DownfallsI really want to make this my default browser but I'm still sticking with Firefox and it is for small things but annoying when accustomed to a certain way. -It could be me but when I click on a image on search I then click the X in top left but the image doesn't close because it opens in a separate tab?(Is this user error maybe?) -I often send gifs/images to my WhatsApp group but find that unlike Firefox where you copy and paste opera you have to save the file, gifs also don’t actually play as they're saved as just images. -Just a personal preference I find that I end up with more tabs than I need because I've either accidentally opened one or not realised the image/link/cat food has opened another..Version: 2.5.3

Almost usableI love the interface and the touch controls but it has too many features that make me favour Safari. 1. Cannot be made the default browser (more an issue with the locked down OS than the browser itself) 2. Doesn’t save where you were when you change tab/exit app 3. Doesn’t remember any passwords/IDs the way Safari does..Version: 1.2.1

Unable to view or recover saved browser passwordsOpera works great but the UX is seriously lacking password view or recovery options. You can clear cache and history but not view saved passwords, so you’re stuck praying any updates don’t blow away your credentials. Been stuck with this for several years now..Version: 3.0.2

Poor settings and features capabilityI really enjoyed in the past but the new iPad version lacks of many features as adblocking disability,ING on certain sites only, sync and my flow with Macs ( Catalina ) isn't working anymore, in general the app has been over-semplified. It was my favourite browser across all platforms, but the Ios version is now far too simple and poor..Version: 2.5.1

Ad blockerThe ad blocker could be better for mobile like blocking pop ups and such, it kinda does it job sometimes but not all the time..Version: 4.5.0

Doesn’t block YouTube ads any moreIt stopped blocking YouTube ads since last update.Version: 3.2.11

Where’s the data saver?I only downloaded Opera because Apple forced the closure of Puffin. I did a lot of searching to find another browser with a ‘data saver’ and Opera was the only other one I could find. However when I spent the very little data I have with my wireless plan, there is no data saver?! I don’t get real internet where I live thus I only have the option of my 4G LTE with my wireless provider in which I only get 20 gig/mo data which isn’t enough gigs to do anything. Which is WHY I need a data saver option. I can’t afford paying $15 per gig I go over. I can’t use a browser with a VPN because sites in which I hold an account with have banned me for it. I was saving 80% data a month with Puffin. Where did your data saver option go? Thanks for causing me to spend a bunch of data just to download this to find that you took away the data saving mode. Ridiculous. I’m deleting this useless app..Version: 1.7.1

Tab browsing link gets lost while tab is openIf you often browse with multiple tabs open, Opera for some reason forgets the url in a background tab sometimes showing instead the homepage..Version: 3.2.4

Not sure but it’s ok.For some reason I had to delete the app & re-download it. It wouldn’t open the other day. Possibly to do w/ my Apple password being changed, but that has never seemed to affect any other apps being updated… I’d tried opening Opera, but it kept saying that the app could not “be updated”. Which shouldn’t really matter; if it’s still functional, any app will continue to work, just with an older version, right? Like with new phones & devices always coming out—in theory, they all work and they SHOULD. An app shouldn’t be made unavailable because of not being updated.. That’s likely an Apple issue and not an Opera issue. But anyway.. I just said “F it”, re-downloaded it… only this time, now there will be ads occasionally, even though the ad-blocking function is on obviously. Every couple of videos, the ads will show up. It’s really weird..Version: 4.5.0

Way better than expectedThis was amazing, probably my favourite browser. It’s got free ad blocker. However it’s still incomplete maybe the use of gestures? And maybe background options. Basically more like the desktop version.Version: 2.3.1
