✓ No back button!!?!The ability to go back to the previous page is necessary to use this app efficiently. All the info one needs can be found through here (if you look hard enough) but the user interface is disorganized to say the least. ✓ The reason it is so slow is it doesn’t actually want you to get financial aidI finished the account set up and opened my email for a second after waiting through 30 minutes of loading screens just to have all of my progress be deleted immediately and my account wasn’t even saved. I’m pretty sure the devs of the app get paid a certain amount for the people who thought they applied for financial aid but since the app is so buggy they did not. Why are you making it so difficult? ✓ HorribleTried using the app instead of the website because I thought it would be easier. Still had the same problems. When I press “continue” it doesn’t do anything. ✓ Kick out, etcAs a parent using the app, after meticulous, repetitive entry of all data, there still seems to be something I miss when it (without fail) shows my SS number under my child's verses his. I've attempted this 4 times, 2 of those times having been kicked out of the app with an error message. ✓ Horrible! Don’t use thisI submitted my FAFSA app through this app because the computer website wasn’t working. It said I turned my application in, turns out it didn’t. ✓ So many errorsI was really excited to try this app. The first time I used it to start a new fafsa it worked fine and I thought it was awesome. I don’t know what happened but there seems to be so many bugs now, it becomes frustrating very quickly. I waited to leave a bad review, hoping they would get resolved but they haven’t. It’s constantly force closing/logging me out, making it impossible to click the ‘next’ buttons... among a few other things..Version: 3.0.0
✓ Frustrating APP. Not worth your time!I used this app intending to be faster but after saving multiple times, after logging on again, I had to re-enter all of my parent info AGAIN after I had spent a hour at my parents house getting their info. Like really, it’s very frustrating, and all I’m trying to do is finish this and it deletes what I have done. Just do it online and not on the APP because it is NOT reliable. ✓ Just use the WebsiteGood for them for trying. They made an app and you can sort of log in and do stuff, but most of the stuff you’ll every want to do requires you to log in on the website. So it just opens up Safari in the app and has you log in there. If you close that safari window, sometimes it still remembers you when it opens back up and other times it makes you log in again. Then the app itself will let you log in, but to do anything extra it opens up Safari again. It’s like a proof of concept app at this point..Version: 3.3.1
✓ So badWhen clicking on I would say 50% of the buttons on the app a box shows up saying “please wait” then it disappears and nothing happens, forcing you to restart the app. Then when you actually get through and finish your form sometimes it doesn’t save or freezing causing you to restart the app. This app is supposed to be taken seriously because of the important financials you are doing but you cannot even finish your form without an issue..Version: 4.2.6

✓ Are you serious?I’ve never written a review before but being prevented from installing the latest version of the app because of my out of date software, which I can’t update due to being hogtied to my iPhone 7, lit a proverbial fire underneath me. Why would you make an update that isn’t compatible on every smart device? Why does an app for FAFSA have to be so advanced that you have to have a very up to date device/software in order to use it? Have you considered the possibility that there are people who can’t afford to upgrade to a newer phone have to apply for financial aid, too, or that simple is often better? ✓ Expiring?As of right now I’m giving the app 2 stars until this is figured out! I’m trying to complete my 20-21 fasfa form, however when I’m going through to check all the answers I put (I have already filled it out just need to sign it) half way through the “session expires.” I’ve tried 5 times to get it to work but it’s like the app just crashes. Even if I save while I go it still continues to crash and forces me to start at the beginning all over again! Very unhappy!! I’d love to be able to use this app. It has great organization, and a very lovely layout. ✓ UpdateI see the developer says contact FASA that is not helping. They say they don’t have anything to do with it. And they can help with application online. I want to use the app. It keep saying app needs to be updated and I press to update and it takes long and it still won’t update and I got the app it won’t even let me go through the old version. We struggle with the website and the app every single year, spending hours just trying to login and deal with other technical issues that just shouldn’t be problems. ✓ Needs workUsed the app last year, with my son away at college and it worked great for both of us. This year, I have downloaded the updates, but cannot log in as the parent because the date of birth option for the student is locked with a month/year option, but no day, so the date of birth keeps you from getting into the application. ✓ Needs updateWas great but something happened this year. I can’t get past the sign and submit page where they review my data. It’s also saying it can’t save my financial data. Glitch needs some attention. Hopefully it comes soon because I’m still getting emails saying I need to submit it but I can’t. ✓ 💙Some glitches💙I really like this app, it’s way faster and easier in my opinion, but they need to make sure their always improving it and keeping it up to date, and making sure it works properly. It logged me out about 2 times saying there was an error. But other than that I like it, will definitely continue using it for future financial aid processing. ✓ Am I Doing Something WrongI signed into my account, completed the application form and then it says I need my parent to sign in to their account to sign it. I get my parent to make an account and when they do, I have to do the entire form all over again, but at the end of that form it said I needed to get my own signature from my account so I proceed to sign into my account and it takes me back to the first application form with the same message saying I need my parent’s signature. ✓ One star needs a lot of improvementI was trying to fill out my fasfa, I had tried to do it 3 times on my phone doing it and when I get to the end for my parent to sign there was no but for parent signature and just the home button to send you out of the completion of the fasfa to logging me out every time and I decided to go to my school to see what was the problem with it and i figured out that this app needs a lot of help for it to be what it’s supposed to do..Version: 2.0.6
✓ I rate it two stars then went back and rated is one startThe app’s reliability is like rolling the dice. Utterly inconsistent and shows the developer’s lack of respect for the time of the customer. Here’s what’s specifically wrong: Twice I completed the FAFSA, signed it and saved it...only to have the app not retain the info. App sometimes kicks you out and you to log in re-entering SNN, birthdates, etc. Certain buttons in the main menu simply don’t work. Will not show you your EFC upon completion. C’mon, guys, you can do better than this. Asks you to transfer from IRS tax site, then still asks for data on already retrieved. After the parent fills out the FAFSA and only needs their child’s signature, the app requires that the child re-enter every bit of information the parent already entered. I did this twice only to have it not retain it..Version: 2.0.4
✓ Works horribly and can’t handle trafficI’ve been trying to complete this form for the past 2 hours because it keeps freezing on me and saying I have that FAFSA found an error. Won’t let me load anything and keeps logging me out every time I try to complete the form where I left off. I don’t get how a government website can’t handle the applications that are being sent their way. It’s so upsetting and frustrating because there are probably hundreds of other students like me who are trying to submit their applications before the deadline. It’s FAFSA’s OWN FAULT if their website can’t handle it. Why do we have to suffer the consequences of our forms submitting late and past the deadline when it’s the website’s fault for not processing them well enough? I hope this gets resolved soon. ✓ Disappointing! Would not recommend!Have tried over and over to login. Everything go fine until it ask for date of birth. It asks for month, date and year. Well that’s fine if it had a wheel to enter the day. It lets you put the month and year but nothing for the day. So since I can’t get past that point the app is completely useless. ✓ Very buggyThis app could possibly been so useful and convenient but it’s extremely buggy. It doesn’t respond quickly and it looks very outdated. But every time I sign and submit there’s a glitch and I’m stuck continuing to hit submit. Even though you have done neither of those things. ✓ App is not User FriendlyThis application just looks like a direct mirror of the desktop website, but the way the setup of the dashboard is on the right side, as well as the positioning of everything in the app is not very easily accessible.
