✓ SuggestionWhen you win against your opponent and answer the silver box answer correctly, if you lose after that, you should at least get the points for the silver box question, not lose everything back down to where you won against the other person. ✓ Doesn't support multitasking!This is a cute fun little app to pass the time on the bus or waiting for the kettle to boil. There have been occasions where answers are incorrect, but developer is usually quick to respond and claims to fix them ASAP. However, and very weirdly for 2020, it doesn't support multitasking..! You're having a fun moment playing along, then you receive a call, or the kettle boiled and you go to make a tea. You come back and all your progress is deleted because the app has reset after waiting for you for two minutes. It has decided that you were away for too long and your progress up the ladder is lost. Your opponent wins. Your money to play has been spent. It's worse than a woman scorned - you must keep paying it attention or it punishes you. This is why I will personally NEVER spend actual money on it - they choose to cheat and penalise those with even a semblance of a life outside the app. Apart from all that, it's pretty okay as single player games go..Version: 31.0.0
✓ Poor customer serviceI just want to say that for as long as I’ve played this game it’s always been fun. Recently the game glitched on me after an ad and removed a box from my slot spaces leaving a space empty without my opening any boxes. Customer service was no help. The response was dismissive and condescending and the problem is with the game not retaining my won box. Service desk basically replied saying my slots were full as though that’s what my complaint addressed. The entire problem is that I began a game with one free slot, won a game which filled my slots, and then played an ad that glitched out the game and left me with a free slot where my last win had appeared. Instead of checking completely to figure out HOW that would occur, the service team blamed the customer. The glitch was annoying, but the team who responds to players was just so wrong here. They were unhelpful and incorrect. The response was WAY worse than what happened during the game..Version: 38.0.0

✓ Was brilliant but not nowIn my opinion, something is changing here. Either the team don’t understand what motivates people to keep going or they appear to be changing the rules to encourage more people to buy with cash the means to keep you in the game. This was a great game. You were encouraged to play hard to earn money, gems and experts to help you conquer the league. Many hours a day sometimes ! After 18 months I got to level 126 and had 65 experts ( effectively, ask a friend). I loved the game. I was learning new facts everyday. Yesterday, my earned experts disappeared and I’ve been told that we now get a maximum of 20 friends (though I was credited with 2) and, at the same time, a game is running tempting you to play more to earn another expert. ✓ Good game but…I have been playing this game literally for years, and it’s generally a good and challenging general knowledge game, but there are a few aspects of it that I’ve found very frustrating. First, although the questions are generally well-written and challenging, with a huge data base which makes them rarely repeat, there are too many UK-based questions that are too tough for this American. (I imagine some UK players feel the same about the US-based questions.) But my main critique of this game is how competitive it has become and how hard it is to advance beyond the middle levels. I have tried for many months to advance and stay above the Silver II level, but unless I play every waking hour of my day or spend a lot of real money on game premiums, it seems I will never get there. And I’m no dummy because I am actually a former contestant on the TV show. Therefore I’ve finally decided to uninstall the game. So good luck if you download this - you’ll find it fun and challenging for a while, but don’t expect to advance very far up the player ladder unless you’re willing to play almost 24/7 or invest a lot of your own money in it..Version: 50.0.0

✓ Frozen… :(I have absolutely loved this game for well over a year. I was playing at several times a day and all of my breaks. I loved all of the questions and the graphics. But now the game has frozen. I have tried to uninstall it and reinstall it but it still comes back frozen.I’m devastated because I had a lot of coins and quite a few gems. ✓ They changed the game!!!This used to be one of the best Trivia games until recently when they changed the use of ‘experts’. Where in the past you could use all of the experts you have collected (with the exception of an 8 hour ‘sleep-time’ post use) the app now provides you with access to 20 experts ( had 57) as a start, after which you have to use purchased gems to use the experts you have collected. Once you use the 20 experts, then it’s all gem purchase based. Very disappointed at the level of greed from UKEN games, it’s a typical bait and switch model. Not sure Apple is aware that UKEN changed the rules of play..Version: 27.0.0
✓ CHOICESBeen playing for a couple of years on and off. Never paid for anything. Collected and maxed out all experts in all cities except for Epic and Legendary ones. These simply never come up. I’ve opened literally hundreds of gold boxes and tens of platinum ones without a single expert in any of them. They should rename them invisible and impossible experts. Then came Tikal. I started by wagering more gems to gain more toucans, but the game consistently failed to register my wins and equivalent toucan points, meaning gems were lost. I “reached out” to their team who said they were working on a fix, but were useless. However, I don’t know whether they’ve fixed it as I’ve stopped playing now. I love a challenge, but with the game completely failing to ever offer up any epic / legendary experts in any boxes, it just became pointless. I’ve got literally 1000s of useless lifelines. Time limited experts also pretty pointless. Also, the developers seem to lazily tack things on like Tikal and Time Limited Experts rather than trying to integrate new features into the original style / format. Goodbye..Version: 47.0.0
✓ Too many delaysI really enjoy playing this game. I like the range of questions & different types of lifelines & levels available. I am disappointed in the recent change to having to earn your expert lifelines - this has made it much harder to be successful. There are also many annoying non ad delays - the amount of time once you have beaten your opponent to get to the next question is ridiculous. Even worse is the end of the game when you have to wait so long to get awarded all the icons for the sub competitions, open boxes, collect coins, move up the ladder etc. I’m happy to put up with ads to play the free game but the other delays are just tedious. ✓ BadBoxes you can’t open, lifelines you can’t use, splash screens you can’t close. This game is incredibly annoying unless you are willing to spend real money. Even when you “win” against an opponent you only get a box that you have to pay to open and you have to correctly answer the $25,000 question to get back the same number of game coins it costs to play. ✓ Buggy and Bizarre AdsThis game constantly gets stuck on the ads. Even after you wait them out, they get stuck and there is no back or x out button. You have to close the app and restart. ✓ Good game but changes hurt...Entertaining game, leans a little too much to British history/culture imo but fun to play. In particular I love the concept of collecting Epic experts....they come rarely and you need to win a lot of gold boxes to get one, which makes the challenge fun and rewarding. But they changed an algorithm so now when you get an Epic Card it is almost exclusively an extra life card ....which shouldn’t even exist in the boxes. They are barely useful and you can earn them by going deep in the events (a fine enough reward for devoted gameplay). But every time you get one in a gold box it means the odds are you have to wait a very long time to get another epic expert, and 5 of the last 6 epic cards I’ve gotten are these extra life cards. ✓ Ads take longer than the game!The game itself is actually very enjoyable and challenging for even the experienced quizzers. The point system is flawed however as you need to get 10 out of 15 questions correct to play again which means there are often long lags to wait until you can next play. My main frustration is that ads come up at the end of every game and take a minimum of 30 seconds which is normally longer than the time it takes to answer questions. When do you ever watch a tv station that has less content than advertisement? I’m all for developers making their money but this is way more than the average ad you get during a game. ✓ Increased ads now spoiling the experienceI have been playing this game for over a year & initially got to level 91, loved playing. With regards to ads they were few & far between. However the app crashed on me, only resolve was to uninstall & download again. Unlike other games, the app did not recognise my previous history so had to start again from scratch. I am not having the same enjoyment as previous. There is an ad after EVERY game which is really annoying + despite playing the game with no sound, you have no option to remove the sounds on many of the ads. Whilst I understand the reasoning for you to have sponsors, there needs to be a balance to allow enjoyment for the user. Many of the ads have no similarities to the game being played so it’s rather unlikely that the players would find them of interest. ✓ Enjoying it but many flawsUnfortunately the box system is very annoying, it means you can only play four games at a time if you win a box in each one and then you have to wait or pay crystals to collect them. Something like a five lives thing and instant box collection would be better than this system of waiting for one box at a time, especially as I have just paid real money to collect a gold box after my four boxes were full, only for the transaction to apparently fail and I lost the money, the box and have no crystals either as the screen stuck on loading, but the money has been taken, the crystals are not there and the gold box was lost. Also the experts are annoying, as they are just lucky guess if they get it or not, as some who say they don’t know, get it right and then an expert in the subject I need help with suddenly says, “I don’t know the answer”. ✓ Excellent and knowledgeable gameWas a really enjoyable game until yesterday, when the rules changed. When I need to use one of my 80 odd experts, I need to use 25 gems for the privilege, the second expert needs 35 gems and so on. What’s the point of having these experts which I have collected for over a year and not being able to use them. My stockpile of gems has been completely depleted in one game. The only way to continue is by purchasing gems, which is going to cost a small fortune. Unfortunately due to this latest move I cannot afford to play this game. I would normally rate this as four star, not five as a 3, 8 or 12 hour wait after winning a box is completely unnecessary. ✓ Not that great. Pay to winCan’t really play it for that long as the cheapest option is 1000 coins. Very expensive as it costs 200 gems for 3k coins. Unless you get to the top every time you will have to pay for coins. I just want a general knowledge game where you don’t have to pay to go far and can play a few games. The box every four hours means you pretty much get 2 games every four hours which last less than 5 minutes. Very broken system I only downloaded the game today and can’t play it anymore. The boxes take ages to unlock and you only get 50 coins from them. Wrote this review went to play the game after collecting my 4 hour mystery box. Got 2 games out of it that lasted 1 min each max! So I have come back here to let everyone know this is a waste of time, I am deleting the game and you should probably not even download it in the first place. ✓ ADS + USA BASEDThe ads in this game and and primarily all newer games are absolutely shocking. Every round, plus they make it impossible for you to press the skip and X. 100% they make you wait, you could get a needle and press the x and it would still bring up the App Store download screen regardless. The game is good but it USA based, plus it’s not like being on the show, you need coins to play and lIfe lines a few and far between unless you want to pay. But who’s downloading this game to buy their way through the questions. It should be the same as the show regardless. All life lines, questions increase on difficulty as you move further. Sometimes if feels like your playing a bot so you get coins and the stupidest questions are answered incorrect by your “opponents” then immediately become specific knowledge questions. ✓ Usually fun but glitchyI can’t tell you how many times I’ve been unable to cash in on box I’ve earned because of a glitch. For example, I just finished the race to riches thing and instead of being able to open the silver box and get the new expert, it froze and I had to restart the game and lost both. It happened again once I got to the 230 mark to earn another silver box. It froze and I got nothing. This has happened a lot of times. I also think it’s kind of crap that if you tie, you only get half, even on the million dollar question. I also dislike the demotions of the levels. I may not have time to play one week so I get demoted? Garbage. Also, the rare and epic characters are impossible to earn. I’ve been playing a lot for almost 2 years and there are still experts on the first and second levels I haven’t unlocked because I haven’t gotten their cards randomly. ✓ Could be betterThis would be so much better if you winning coins didn’t have to depend on the random performance of an opponent. If I get all 15 questions correct, why should my winnings be halved because my random opponent just happened to equal my achievement? It’s also too American-centric. To the point that I actually got a question wrong because I chose “boot” instead of “trunk” as the answer to a question to name that part of a car. If it had specified American English I would have been able to get it right. Why it even offered two correct answers depending on dialect seems bonkers to me. ✓ MehThis game is fun, but as everyone says, the cost to play doesn’t meet the reward for winning. Aka, the juice ain’t worth the squeeze. Instead of writing everyone and telling them about the free mystery boxes, why not take the feedback you’re getting into consideration and just cut the fees, or increase the reward? Also you need diamonds to open boxes but the diamonds are hard to come by without paying. You promote this game as free, yet your gameplay is trying to subliminally force people to pay for “internet diamonds” and even the cost of those if you were to buy them is ridiculous. You already have ads that I’m sure are paid, the app is already developed, it’s time to quit gouging and make your app enjoyable. Sometimes you’ve got to give to get. ✓ Fun game but serious flawsSo the game is fun until you run out of coins which is pretty quickly. It is annoying that you only receive the amount at the question you bet your opponent at. There should be staggering levels (like on the original tv game) like if you pass the the third question you get that no matter if you fail the fourth question and regardless of what your opponent gets. Also, couldn’t find the opt out button or whatever so when I wanted to opt out I couldn’t so make it more obvious (if it is actually there) The waiting is a real downer and I tend to delete the game if it takes ages to play again or is just a money grab game..Version: 17.0.2

✓ MoneyThis game is great until you realise that you lose money almost every game. The first level cots 1k in game money to play and you have to rely on your opponent not to fail before the first 10 questions where you at least can’t loose or gain any money. If your opponent gets a question wrong before the first 5 questions (which is frequent) you try make it to the top by yourself and if you fail you have to go back down to where your opponent failed and get whatever money they won and you end up just losing money almost every game. The cost of the matches needs to be lowered or the availability of in game currency needs to be easier to acquire, like setting the 1k bar at 5 questions into the first level..Version: 17.0.2

✓ Incorrect AnswersI reported an incorrect answer - storage area in a car, according to the game the correct answer was 'trunk', which would be fine if one of the other answers wasn’t 'boot'. I pointed out that 'boot' was the correct answer in many countries outside the US. I received a reply 'We strive to include as much diverse content as possible for all players. We continue to add more questions and categories all the time, so rest assured that you'll see more for players from every location!' Obviously my report hadn’t been read properly. ✓ Insane AdsThis is actually a pretty fun game, but has a couple of major flaws. First, unless you buy extra coins you can only play a few times a day, which makes it hard to really care about your ratings or the game itself. Second, the ads are just nuts. You get an ad after every single game, but instead of allowing you to skip it after a few seconds like pretty much every other mobile game out there, this app makes you view it in its entirety or lose whatever you win from the game. ✓ Should be called UK versionFirst, if you’re concerned this is one of those games where you pay to play, it’s possible to get buy without making in-app purchases. I paid for the game to get rid of the egregious ads, which pop up every single game, but I’ve managed to play without buying gems and money. Still, the developers do everything they can to get your money. It’s kind of gross. But beyond this the game itself is fun. I’ve played for over a month and I’m impressed by the low rate of repeat questions. There are a lot of familiar themes they love—e.g. Madonna, nursery rhymes, and soccer. The biggest annoyance for me is the game or developers appear to be U.K.-based. There are so so many questions based on British history and culture that I have absolutely no idea about….so boring. ✓ No one wanted this.If you’re like me, then you’re probably just looking for a classic WWTBAM experience. The trivia should be the most important part of the app, and everything be as accurate as possible. This is not what you’re getting. You’re getting a useless ‘multiplayer’ experience that no one asked for. The questions are timed, you get coins for every time you advance and the whole experience is unrealistic. The app is just an in-app purchase cash grab with lifelines that have the same mechanics as Candy Crush boosters. Why can’t they just add the classic experience we all want? ✓ Needs improvementThe latest update forces you to watch ad‘s after every game with no benefit. If you are going to include video ads which are using up my data and I expect some kind of reward. It is hard to get coins without paying for them and they’re not cheap minimum cost to play is 1000 coins so you get one free game a day if you’re lucky. Making it to the million is not hard but you really don’t gain much IMO. I just think if they’re going to get regular players they need to make coins more accessible. I have deleted the app after the most recent video ads and it is the same video over and over again. Too many free trivia games that are just as good. ✓ Glitchy and poor customer serviceI was already frustrated with the game for how they force you to wait hours on end for enough coins to play (unless you want to pay) and for the brutal gambling style interface that promotes addiction. Then it got worse. The pressure you EVERY SINGLE TIME you log in to connect to your Facebook. I finally caved and did it. When I did I lost almost all my coins and all my stats and was place back to beginner status. I contacted customer service and never got a reply. I have stopped playing completely. I do love trivia and wish this game cared at all about their customers rather than employing blatant manipulation at every opportunity. ✓ Fun new twist on a classic gameI have loved watching this game on TV since it came out. I’ve also played other versions of Millionaire. But this one has you playing against an opponent. It makes it extra exciting. So far I’m loving it. After playing this game for a week here is my updated review: the game still is fun, but it is losing its luster. Each time you get a certain number of wins you get put in a higher league. The only problem with this is when I have tried to play a game they have the matching me with people in a much higher league than I am. There is no way I could beat these people. And I don’t mean just a mild discrepancy I am in the second lowest league and they are matching me up consistently with those in the highest league. The developers need to make sure that the people that challenge each other are close to being in the same league, Otherwise it is really not a fair match. ✓ Great fun, but frustrating for non-EuropeansUpdate: I see what others are saying about this game being rigged as are most game apps that have in-app purchases. Once you are out of lifelines and especially low on diamonds (which are needed to unlock the boxes you win that are full of goodies such as coins and lifelines) you will get many “oddball” questions. These are usually questions people in a specific profession or hobby would know, but most other people would not. You will keep losing coins and become stuck to wait many hours for one box to unlock or buy diamonds and coins. I have played this for about a month now and although it is fun and challenging, I would say about two-thirds of the questions are written by individuals from the UK or other parts of Europe. This gets especially frustrating when old sayings are brought up or slang terms are asked for. The lions share of sports questions are about soccer so be careful when answering questions about football - most of the time it is not American football. ✓ Bad!So you earn diamonds slowly to use so you can speed up your rewards or you can buy them. If you don’t have a lifeline avilable that’s fine they add a diamond price to the particular lifeline button you don’t have (the price changes depending on how rich you are in diamonds) so you can press it and loose all your diamonds by mistake. They are not cheap to buy and it takes ages to collect but at the press of button without warning they are gone. To put in perspective you can get 10 diamonds as a reward and they make you watch an ad to double so you have 20 to press a lifeline by accident cost me 140 diamonds and it was question 1. This game is just trying to empty your pockets. Also the questions until you beat your opponent are easy then when you beat them the questions are insane! not worth your time! ✓ Experts and British Football and OpponentsI don’t like the heavy emphasis on expert cards- every winner’s box has at least one and often three. But they do you no good if you don’t have an Ask an Expert option. I’d rather have more Ask the Audience and Ask an Expert cards. Secondly, I’m American and I really don’t care about British soccer (sorry, “football”). I’m sure that the British players really don’t care about “real” American football. Would it really be so hard to have several different sets of questions? Lastly, having an “opponent” is just a stupid embellishment. There’s no way that there is enough computing power and storage to keep copies of each player’s games. It’s all a matter of a programmed sequence and I’ve figured when my opponent will miss at the $5000 or $7000, etc levels in a game. ✓ Shameless Cash GrabThis app is beyond frustrating. You're forced to sit through an ad after every single match. I'm fine with free to play apps selling things that let you progress faster, but not things that give paying players an unfair advantage (this app is the latter). The 1v1 style would be interesting, but players who spend money have a huge advantage. It's essentially impossible to unlock the better experts without paying real money, and those experts basically just give you the answer when you use the "Ask an Expert" lifeline (and there are no limits to the number of lifelines you can use, so paying players have way more of them and can use them to get the answer to almost any question they don't know). I don't know who comes up with the questions, but it's clear they have a very strong pro-Christian bias. About every 30th question is an extremely obscure question about Christian theology (I went to church and Sunday school until I was 18 and still don't know the answers to hardly any of these). Yet in all my time playing, I have come across 0 questions about Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, or any other modern religions. This could be a great trivia app if it didn't have ads or give paying players a hugely unfair advantage. ✓ Could be good but is just okThis game has a lot of potential but you have to suffer through 3 major flaws. 1. Constant and unavoidable ads. Literally after every game. 2. Inconsistent opponents. Some opponents will be with you up to the last question, the lack of a cap means you could make it all the way to the last question with no reward or with a bronze box for your trouble. Really needs a cap on opponents. 3. Since the latest update they removed the checkpoint for silver boxes. Now if you get a question wrong you go back to where you beat the opponent. This could mean making it all the way to the end and falling all the way back to the first question. ✓ MoneyI got this game from watching an ad on another game. I quite liked it at the start and still do to an extent. I have had a couple dodgy questions in there that shouldn’t; but the one thing that really stood out was that I got a question about Shakespeare and my expert (Shakespeare himself) didn’t know the answer to the question!!! ✓ Why u need money in order to play?I thought I’d write this review because I’m no longer able to actually play the game, due to a system that doesn’t allow you to make the “coins” back UNLESS you cheat but yeah that’s obviously no fun. So the obvious tactic here is to forcefully make people BUY gems in order to continue to play, it feels more like a subscription based game then a free one when drummed up like that. The saddening thing is, I enjoy this game, but some serious blunders have been made when it comes to - rewards, and being able to actually play the game. First the actual £money that you make is useless, it’s all about coins, this needs to stop, remove it pronto, add a cooldown to the matches that you can play overtime, then there’s no overkill and this removes the likely hood of people cheating in order to keep playing. And simply switch up the earnings with actual money that you win from the game so it feels a lot more rewarding. The lootboxes are pretty terrible too, I see no reason to have a very long cooldown on what is usually a lacklustre reward. ✓ Was greatI used to really loved this game until they changed the ask the expert lifeline. I went from having 45 experts to only being able to use 1 every now and then. Are you kidding?? Before you had a chance of making it to the million dollar question, now without the experts good luck getting to even a mid level question. Everyone is losing on the first 5-10 questions. Now it’s almost impossible to advance in levels and you blow through your coins so quickly. I think the change was another move to force players to buy coins, and like so many other formerly great apps, they went the micro transactions route to chase the dollar and force players to spend money. Now I don’t play nearly as much as I used to which means I never move up and can’t win any of the goal related experts, but also, what’s the point of collecting experts at all? If you can only use 1 or two whenever you get an expert lifeline token, you never need more than 10 since they refresh every 8 hours. The developers just destroyed their own game model. I used to play when there was a chance of maybe winning, and also to collect experts and advance levels. Now all those reasons are pointless since you can’t win, collecting experts is useless since you can never use them, and it takes forever to advance since you lose before you get to higher point questions. ✓ Millionaire reviewReview number 1; I’ve just played a game, I got to open a box and in that box was a pink frame that i watched a video for, and several other things. Suddenly as usual the game stopped working!? So, as usual I had to delete the app after I had gained these things and when I got back and re connected the bronze box I won was no longer there or any of my winnings. Review number two; been playing a while now, for free. I’ve found it hard slog, not only having to watch very long adverts, but also having to keep thumping my screen to get rid of them at the end, several times for the same advert usually. Feel like if I see the house one again I’m going to throw my iPad at the wall. Also, if you play free it’s a hard job trying to get gems enough to continue. I built up over a thousand at one point without having to spend too many life lines as I’m not bad at questions on my own. Then I thought, I may go on the millionaire sale. So experimented to see what I would get! Presume as I play for free I get the lowest of the lowly prizes in order to try and get me to pay. Not going to happen as can’t afford it. ✓ Who wants to be poor from microtransactions?This game has some fun in it, but it is dragged down by the necessity to pay. Each game requires coins to play, and you only get those coins back if you get most of the questions right. You also receive loot boxes, but they aren’t great. Eventually you won’t be able to afford to play any games since you’ll run it of coins. At that point you will be forced to watch ads just to have barely enough coins to play a single game. Then you’ll run out of ads, but don’t worry. You’ll only have to wait 3 hours to open a loot box that has 50 coins (which is a far cry from the minimum 1,000 coins you need for one game). After about an hour of playing I was unable to play the game anymore. I’ve opened loot boxes for a couple days, but am no where close to being able to play. Also, the ads stopped working altogether. ✓ Prepare to take snapshotsI used to really love this game, but then I started to notice a few bugs that I find extremely annoying. Any time an expert is awarded outside of a box it’s never awarded. I emailed the support desk and their answer?? Take a snapshot. If there’s no proof they have no way to verify it, the answer you get is “there’s no discrepancy” even when you provide them of the time the error occurred and which expert it was. That is very frustrating especially when it looks like you leveled up on an expert only to find out you didn’t? Another issue is it’s impossible to get rare experts...do not bother wasting your gems on buying or upgrading to platinum or gold boxes. Just wait and hope you get them in one of the boxes you open. It would also be nice if they add more levels and achievements to make it interesting. ✓ Latest changes ruin the gameI’ve been playing this game for months and built up loads of Experts to help when answering questions. Recently the game has been changed so that in order to ask an Expert you have to have an Expert lifeline. So instead of having 67 experts that I can use during a game (the number does go down when you use them) you now need an Expert lifeline, so my 67 experts are nearly useless as I only have a few Expert lifelines. These are gained the same way as other lifelines - through opening boxes or buying gems. And that’s the point. The changes are designed solely to make you purchase more gems and spend money with them. They need to re-think this as, if it doesn’t improve, I definitely won’t be playing as much and might give up completely. I don’t think I’ll be the only one so all those ads will go to waste with no-one to see them. Update - I got a standard response to this review asking me to contact the developers through the app. Unfortunately I had already done that. This review is because of the total lack of interest in my email that I sent them. The responses I got to that email trail were basically “this is how it is now, deal with it”..Version: 27.0.0
✓ Should be so much better!!!!Unfortunately this game is a let down, far away from the original game an aimed solely at making money. Everything from the in game coins you win never being enough to continue playing for very long, to the use of a lifeline every question if you need too, or the crates for coins and lifelines or expert helpers is geared towards you making in app purchases. Plus the endless amount of advertising between games is annoying an unnecessary, surely shorter less frequent ads would be sufficient given the amount of money being made from in app purchases. All in all it’s a pay to win/progress game that if you’re not willing to spend money on will drive you mad waiting for crates to open an give you less coins than is needed to play a single game. Surely just make a true to the original game in the proper format an charge a one off fee for that. ✓ Game works but needs tweaksIn general i think the game is decent. The questions seem easier against the computer or single player, but much more difficult against humans. However I dont think life lines are fair, especially when playing real people. How is it fair that I currently have 10+ life lines available and i can continuously use them every question. So i can literally defeat my opponent, who may be much smarter than me with just life lines. I should only be able to use each life line once per game, but thats not the case. Also where is challenging of friends for game center? Is this available for facebook, or just not at all? I dont have facebook. I want to be able to play my friend directly but it doesnt seem like I can. Finally, why are the entrance fees so much for each city? The first city requires 1,000 coins to play. Yet, its extremely difficult to make that money back. For example, it takes nearly 10 correct answers to get ur coins back. Which is difficult in multiplayer. So i find myself playing 1-2 games a day only because the free boxes are giving me coins. And im winning most of my games! This is probably the most critical point of my review. The cities’ entrance fees need to be slashed in half. Id like to play a lot more but im literally prevented from playing because the games require so much coin. ✓ I don’t like waiting to play my gamesFor those who want to play WWTBM this is not the game for you. However I do enjoy this game vaguely based on WWTBM. However it has some huge issues that unless sorted its soon to be deleted. Firstly there are some questions that you would only know if your American. Example there’s a question about what train lines are used on a monopoly board. Well here in the uk we use train stations. Also it describes some kinda sweet that we don’t have over here and asks you to name it. However here is the biggest flaw in the entire game. As a full time worker and parent spare time is sparse. I hate games where your play time can be limited. And this game even when doing well can have you waiting. The lowest game you can enter is 1000 coins. Yet even after beating your opponent you can still win less than what it cost to enter. If fact you have to get 10 questions right just to break even. So after several games where I have beaten my opponent I am worse off. So I wait to open crates. The shortest time is 2hrs. So after 4hrs opening 2 crates and getting less than 100 coins in each I am now forced to wait a minimum of another 2hrs to see if I get enough coins to actually play the game. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE A GAME WHERE YOU GET LESS THAN WHAT YOU ENTERED WITH WHEN YOU ARE DOING WELL. ✓ No real opponents - too easyThe game gives you the impression you are playing online but this is false! You are obviously playing against the computer with a random profile picture. I got asked the same question twice in a row (with very slightly different wording) and the ‘opponent’ got it right the first time and then answered it incorrectly the second time! You are obviously just playing against the computer - notice how everyone seems to have a profile pic?? Also, it lets you choose your categories so the questions can be way too easy. It is not like actual who wants to be a millionaire where the first 5 are easy and then they gradually get harder. There are less questions too. ✓ Could be betterI understand ads are needed to keep the game free, but having most ads after a game 30 seconds long and unskippable is very annoying, especially if you don't get far in some games! There are quite a lot of questions that are very obscure to non-American players which isn't really fair, and I'm sure Americans can say the same thing about some other questions too. More universal general knowledge questions would be great. Lastly, you can't play for very long at a time because you run out of money a lot quicker than you can win it back, unless you happen to get a rare good run without obscure questions. ✓ Fun gameI really enjoy playing this game. It’s a fun game for the most part but there are a couple key issues that prevent me from giving a higher review. The first is how when you tie an opponent for the million dollar box...I get half of the prize. I think that if I answer all the questions right I should get the full million dollar prize and so should my opponent. It doesn’t make sense for both people to answer all questions correctly and not get the full prize. Second, I don’t like how the advancement process works. I have to finish in the top ten to get to the next level (silver I, II, III, etc.) okay so I get that. What I don’t like is how if I don’t finish in the top 70 I get demoted to the level I was previously on. It doesn’t make sense. Basically, I am getting penalized for either not having the time to play the game as much as other people do or I don’t spend enough money (I spend zero money on this game) to stay competitive with the players who either play all hours of the day or who spend actual money to advance in the game. I think if you don’t advance to the next tier, that you should just stay where you are and not get demoted. That is ridiculous. Third, I’m not a fan of how unreliable the common lifeline can be. How does an automated audience get a question wrong? Again, it doesn’t make sense. ✓ Aimed solely at clawing away your moneyWin a match and it takes 3 hours to unlock your winnings (unless you pay to speed it up). And you can only have one unlocking at a time. I’ve won probably around 20 matches since downloading but you’re only allowed to have 4 prizes at a time. So...12 hours to unlock 4 matches worth of winnings at a time. Rinse and repeat. You pay in at least 1k to join a match but you don’t get it back when you win. So unless you answer enough questions right to recoup your money then you’re out of pocket. You’re steadily losing the ability to play the game (unless you pay for more coins of course) The questions suddenly go from trivial to hard as soon as you get to the 1k question. Coincidence? You can’t just buy coins (not that I would anyway) you have to buy ‘diamonds’ before you can purchase coins. The lowest number of coins you can buy is 300 which cost 200 diamonds. The lowest number of diamonds you can buy is 150 for £1.99. Therefore you need to pay at least £4.99 for 400 diamonds which essentially only gives you 3 matches worth anyway. Sad cash grab! ✓ Don’t bother with this gameI loved this game when I first downloaded it was perfect for lockdown , then a few months ago my rewards cinema just disappeared I contacted support followed there advice , deleted the app then re downloaded , signed in with apple instead of playing as a guest nothing worked and however many times I contacted support no one would help me just gave me excuses and kept telling me the same information! New problems keep arising now ! I have to delete the app the re download every time I play! ✓ Who wants to be broke?As others have mentioned, this game would be enjoyable if not for the ridiculous coin and gem system. When I first began the game I didn’t realise it cost 1K each time - I expected it to just be a standard trivia game, like the show. I played 3 games and ended up with a fraction of what I started with before I realised. I also didn’t know that there were a limited amount of time you could use the “skip” feature on mystery boxes until I ran out. The game interface is a bit confusing for new players as there are so many features. Additionally, 1K as a starter level to play a game where you’re lucky to even make your coins back means that you end up running out of money very quickly unless you get to the million. I ended up cheating which took all the fun out of it. It’s called “who wants to be a millionaire” not “who wants to be broke!” And the mystery boxes are useless, you win against your opponent to win 50 coins that you have to wait 3 hours for? ✓ Some answers are wrong?!?!?!This is a great game, it’s a pain you can only play like once every 8 hours, unless you pay. I guess that’s how they make their money. One huge problem I have, is that some of the answers is wrong, I got to the last question, and it was an art question. It said the answer was C. I was an art student, I’ve been to loads of museums and exhibitions, I studied this!?!?! So just to prove myself right, I google and then even visited the place!! They got it wrong. Was this an honest mistake? Or was it intentionally , I have a problem with it being on the very last question. ✓ Not bad but..I’m not convinced you’re actually playing someone and not a computer. My answers are immediately matched by my competitors. I don’t know how that could be. Occasionally I’ve been asked the same question in the same game. On one occasion my supposed competitor actually answered wrongly on the second occasion of being asked the same question. That smells like an automated and not human answer. Obviously the game is designed to get you to buy features. If you don’t then it seems like you really can’t progress on merit. ✓ Have to $$ to playYou can really only play up to four games in one sitting without paying $. The only reward for winning a game is a box which gives you coins/supplies to play again. But you can only have a maximum of four boxes at any given time. And each box takes hours to open, and only one can be counting down at once - unless you pay money to buy gems. And yes, the game gives you gems but not at a rate which would allow you to consistently open all the boxes you get. And the higher your score in the game, the better the box & the longer it takes to open. So if you’re waiting on a gold box - you’ll be waiting until tomorrow. And if your box slots are full, you get no reward even if you’ve paid coins to play a level & won the Millionaire question. ✓ Where are My Experts when I need themI invested a lot of time playing this game in order to collect more experts until I got 68 of them. Now this new change limited the use of my experts when I need them and the only way to do them is to pay using the hard collected jewels. You even made it more difficult to earn jewels by raising the objective limits for goals to levels that are impossible to achieve. All this is geared to force players to pay money to buy more jewels. Guess what you greedy developers, this backfired big time and I am one of many that are quitting this game for good. ✓ Greedy GameYou’re never going to be a millionaire in reality if you play this game. I call it the “greedy game”. No matter how good your general knowledge or how many coins or experts you collect, you’re always going to have to buy more crystals, which aren’t cheap, if you want to keep progressing through the levels. ✓ Disappointed with adsPlayed a rd and then was forced to watch an ad showing a woman walking in to find (presumably) her significant other cheating on her. Then the ad shows an option for the user to leave the room or join them. Out of curiosity, I check the age rating for WWTBAM and it’s rated 4+. If you’re going to force ads in this game, please do a better job screening them to ensure they are appropriate for your audience or at least increase the age rating. I don’t believe this ad in particular is appropriate for your younger players; nor, as a parent, do I want to explain such an add to my young children. Game play is fine but number of coins from boxes is incredibly weak. I didn’t play much for a week just so I could build up coins from mystery boxes in order to be able to sit down and play a few rounds without the worry of running out of coins. ✓ Good game spoiled by forced screens and bad UII don't know why this game is getting good reviews. The basic mechanics are great when you are actually in the game answering questions. However this is overshadowed by the sheer persistence of forced screens. I am being FORCED to click on certain UI elements and can't progress through the app until I have clicked on them. Not to mention the UI is cluttered. Terrible UX. I get it's a free app and they want you to pay for content. But at least allow the user to move around the app and purchase content at their own pace. ✓ DisappointedThis app is really good, and the features and interface exceed expectations. However, it is clearly designed specifically for people with wide enough knowledge to be on the show itself. I don’t think anyone expects that from the fictional game. The way a lot of questions are phrased are ridiculous too. It gets confusing. At current I am on level 6, paying 4000 coins per game. You can claim 1 free chest every 4 hours which include on average just over 2000 coins. The chests you earn include a few hundred coins. So unless you’re paying an actual fortune buying coins, gems and lifelines, or logging in every 4 hours to claim a free chest, 1 wrong answer will mean you will lose your bet. and you won’t have enough coins to cover your next game. ✓ 2 main issues1. Free ads are never available so you can never redeem the pittance that is the free rewards in the reward cinema section. Literally the ads are never available so that’s annoying and a whole component of the game you can’t use. 2. Even more annoying sometimes you lose even if you win. What I mean is for example it cost $500 to enter the competition but if your opponent loses before you make $500 you’re still losing because you’re only guaranteed to make as far as they reached unless you win it all (unreasonable). So if you beat your opponent at the $300 you “win” the round but you’re still out $200 cause it cost you $500 to get in. If you “win” you should at least break even. Stupid. There are only a few ways around this- one is a flag which they give you 5 at the start except NEVER tell you how to use it or what it’s for which caused me to lose them using them trying to figure out what they do (hold your spot after you’ve beat an opponent and passed their question rank). The only other way is to win every single round til you get to the million dollars. That’s it. If you answer 10 more questions after beating your opponent but don’t make it to the million you’ll be rewarded for none of it. ✓ Disappointed in payout ratioWhen I saw this game was super excited download it, but I am disappointed that I get 15 to 20 minutes of gameplay a day. My biggest problem with this game is that you play against another person and you will get a bronze chest if you beat the other, which yay, but if you do beat them and keep going and get a question wrong well after your opponent is out you will only get the amount of money that you beat them at, this happened to me every time I did better than my opponent. I would like to see reward elements of the game changed to make game play and winning more fair and rewarding. One way the game could be improved is to modify the event challenges. Currently, the events have such high point levels for any reward that one would have to play the game ALL day long to complete the event. Some people are playing for fun and have jobs and lives and cannot afford to play all day long. Start by cutting the point levels in half and give everyone a chance. And in terms of accumulating points from playing, let the winner of the game get their points cumulatively so instead of only getting 300 if they hit the millionaire, they get the sum of all individual questions points. ✓ Designed to make you spend money.The coin payments for games aren’t proportional to how much you need to participate. For example, in a game requiring 1000 coins, you’ll need to go pretty high up the order of questions just to break even. And winning 500,000 in that game gives you 1800 coins. In multiplayer games, it’s all or nothing. If you beat your opponent at say, a 200 coin question level, you either go all the way up and win the game to get all coins or you end the game with a mere 200. That’s unfair and we need to be able to collect coins atleast once we reach a certain question level. This net negative trend of coin balance means that you’ll run out of coins pretty quick and will HAVE to pay. Their rewards crates aren’t very useful either. I’ll be fine with paying if I’m not bombarded with endless ridiculous ads of other pay-to-win games, but that’s not the case. ✓ To play a match costs more than what you earnI like the game set up, finding no issues beyond the fact that I can’t afford to enter a match despite winning nearly all my games. You can get more money to enter matches from boxes won but it is a 3 hour wait for each and you can only hold 4. Then the winnings from these boxes are only a couple of hundred, unless you manage to get a gold box, and to enter a match starts at 1k, therefore you can barely afford 1-2 games and by that point you’ve completely run out of money (although you can spend real money for coins). I think you may get a bonus box each day but this also gives you enough for 1-2 games. Currently, as I can only seem to afford to wait for boxes to unlock and then 10 mins of actual game play, the app is just wasting space on my phone..Version: 15.0.0
✓ Horrible mechanicsThis game had a lot of potential, and I love trivia game-show style games on iOS. But this game is such a money grab I can’t even believe it. First of all, the prize money is only determined by where my OPPONENT screws up... so I have to HOPE I get to 1 million$ and take it all otherwise I can ONLY win the amount from the level my opponent got to... That is so stupid. If I got to 250k I should get the prize associated... it takes all the fun out of it when you don’t have any money left to play because the questions are extremely hard and you have to guess... then you’re expected to spend real money to get out of a jam so you can still win the million and get back double your bet you put out to play, once you’ve exhausted all your lifelines.. That’s harsh! The gameplay is fun, but not worth the money you’re expected to put out just to keep playing it..Version: 11.0.0

✓ Doesn’t workI’ve played this game for 1 month now, and was enjoying. Now every time I press play it closes down. It allows me to play about every 20 hours but as soon as I go back to the home screen the same thing happens. I believe this is because I have never made any in app purchases. I understand they develop the app with the intention of making money, but they make money when you watch the adverts. They will not let you rise up the leagues unless you spend money. There are only 14 leagues of 100 this makes a total of only 1400 people playing and there are thousands trying to play on app. When I complain that it won’t let me play, they insist it is my old phone at fault. This is utter rubbish as it lets you play again once you are relegated back down to bronze league. I have tested this 3 times now so I know they are lying.Version: 40.0.2
✓ Useless.This game is everything wrong with modern apps. I just wanted to learn trivia and see how far I could get on ‘who wants to be a millionaire’. Upon downloading the app, I’m thrusted into an online game against someone I don’t know, there’s assortments of different gems and treasure chests to buy and open. This is not what I want. I want a basic app. I don’t mind adverts because I know apps have to make money, but all these different gems and online games and challenges is insane. Not to mention the questions are far top easy. I am not a genius or even close, but first try I get to £500,000 with one of the last questions asking me if I know what the Olympics are. Finally, the amount you win is completely different to in the show. Maybe it’s correct for the American version, but they could have at least put in the tiniest bit of effort for the UK version..Version: 35.0.0

✓ Wrong answersVery annoying when some answers are wrong. Example, question on how many people watched Diana and Charles’ wedding. Answer is 1 billion (750 million according to Wikipedia but could be up to max of 1 billion). This was a million dollar question and I got it supposedly wrong with 2.5 billion being the right answer. ✓ Good and Enjoyable but adds a painReally enjoyed playing this game for a couple of months or so and it’s fairly addictive as you rise through the levels and increase your winnings and get more and more help from the experts (having said that did have to laugh once when one of the so called experts didn’t know the answer to a question about himself lol) I think I’ve just started to get bored now but would recommend others playing as it’s quite challenging and easy gameplay on the whole but my one real annoyance with the game is having purchased gameplay Gems on numerous occasions I felt it was a bit of a Liberty having to sit through endless adverts from the games sponsors!!!.Version: 19.0.1

✓ Good game shame about the sound settingsReally enjoying this app and the features however one aspect of it is really annoying. Despite having your phone on silent and the app settings with the sound muted when you have finished a game and an advert plays some have sound going ignoring the settings. It’s really annoying, stops me playing the game at night because it will make up my partner. ✓ Getting impossible to playMe and my partner downloaded this game around 2 years ago and we were instantly hooked. But recently the game has become more and more difficult to achieve certain aspects. We were looking forward to having an epic expert come back up to be able to upgrade them as this year it has just been new person after new person getting harder and harder to even collect never mind upgrade. Now you have to collect over 20,000 tokens to get just one card when you need several in order to upgrade. We used to love playing this game and now because of this we are debating stopping play as it just seems to be becoming impossible to achieve any upgrades without playing 24/7. ✓ Way too many events and pop-ups!!I downloaded this game because I like the show, and I just wanted a simple quiz/trivia game. I deleted it out of frustration because there are always so many events, or goals, or challenges that when you open the game, you have to close like four pop ups just to play a game, then when it’s over, it takes forever to be able to play again because it goes through all the “special event tokens” you’ve won during that game, and there are three or four different types of token for different events happening simultaneously, as well as winning xp, and coins, and anything else it needs to go through before you properly finish the match. Plus, after the match, when it takes you back to the home screen, just like when you first open the app, you have to close several pop-ups again! I usually just end up closing the app because I’m so sick of waiting. ALSO, they say they strive to be diverse and not have only American questions, but how is anyone from other countries meant to know about American football teams? As if you’d ever see a question on there about an Australian rugby team, if you can have questions like “what’s the name of the Chicago basketball team” or whatever you can have questions like “what’s the name of the Brisbane NRL team”. ✓ Almost like the real thingIn the early stages it’s easy to progress. As you get higher you have to reach higher targets to get free gems and the only way to do that is to spend more. Was not impressed when the cost to redeem boxes was doubled. Most of the bonus events are great and earn good bonuses but can be frustrating when the bonus cards you win are for experts you have already maxed out. Makes winning them totally useless. ✓ ScamI started out liking this game a lot . Now there are so many things that don’t make sense . I emailed them SIX times trying to get an answe on one thing . The answer I finally received was very generic and did not address my problem . When I open the boxes the lifelines in the box never all show up down at the bottom where the available lifelines are . It’s infuriating . Let’s say I receive four in the box I may get two . I can see an ask the audience and it’s not there . These are examples . Then when in the goals page where it shows you how many things you have to go to get diamonds it changes !!! I just checked and I had used 17 of 25 lifelines . After 25 I get diamonds . So I check after that , after I used one more . It now says I have used 16 of 25 ! There are other things also . I am not an idiot . It gets you hooked then you feel as if you need to pay money for the diamonds to continue ..Version: 28.0.1
✓ Relies on coins won from games to pay more gamesThis game allocates you a number of coins when you first begin, and then from the first level requires 500 coins to enter, and each level completed to the million will win you a certain amount of coins. I’m not against this way as it’s similar to other games I’ve played although I’m unhappy with this game because the level required to just win back the 500 is half way up the board. This is not a game I’d recommend to someone who just wants to play and is okay with getting answers wrong, or wants to learn more random facts. While the first questions are usually easy, it is difficult to maintain a streak to win back the amount of coins necessary to move on to further map locations that cost/win more. There is a reward system for winning games and you can unlock boxes that win you items to further your position within the online community, but it is unlikely that you will win back enough money to enter a new round, leaving you waiting days to be able to play again..Version: 25.0.2
