Good mapAppreciate.Version: 1.34.0

Ideal visualisation of London and TfLI’m fascinated by the design on this app - everything just works and it’s extremely intuitive in the way it functions. Lovely and easy to read design, and I’m in particular a big fan of the fact it starts off on the iconic tube map and places you at your nearest tube station. Very good-faith in that it suggests you cycling (or walking!) alternatives - this app was to better the lives of Londoners, not line the pockets of TfL, and I only have positive things to say about that. Essential app to have for anyone in London!.Version: 1.27.0

Interesting appMost map apps such as citymapper and google maps bring similar functionality, but the tfl developers have indeed done a good job of providing a well designed and simplified experience with a focus on public transport in London and accessibility (both in the app and in finding accessible transport options). I am particularly impressed with the consistent design style that reflects the tfl brand really well. I would be curious to find out what technologies you used when building out the screens and interactive map 😁! Of course there are always tradeoffs when designing a whole navigation app around the london tube map seeing as those unfamiliar with the london tube may find it unintuitive, as geographical distances and locations in london aren’t conveyed like they are on an ordinary map. In addition, the amount of text on the map and text on the main option buttons at the bottom may make the main app screen slightly less accessible to certain people. However, given the constraints of working off the tfl map, the design is still impressive. To make the app better, it would be good to add some more disambiguation for places vs stations. Eg: High Barnet may refer to the tube station or the centre of the area..Version: 1.9.0

Fantastic, but zones? This is a must have app for going around London, much better than the alternatives which are constantly trying to play you an unskippable ad when you’re trying to see where to get the next train to. The app is clean, works brilliantly and quickly, shows you where you are and has great status updates etc. The only thing I want is (if I’ve missed this then please correct me) the zones included on the map - maybe as a toggle-able switch in the settings, because I find myself using the app to find where I want to go but then having to google ‘tube map’ again to see whether I’m crossing zones! You can see which zone if you click on the station and scroll down, but can’t we just have it on the map as with every other tube map, or give us a toggle switch in settings!.Version: 1.38.0

Excellent app, wish I could favourite journeysTruly a great experience to use this app. Much simpler to navigate than other apps on the market. My one wish would be to be able to favourite buses or other modes of transport. As I find myself searching for the same journey everyday to find when the bus is set to arrive (my station doesn’t have a timetable near the waiting area). Apart from that, very well done to TfL and their devs..Version: 1.34.0

Excellent app!I’m an American visiting and this app is excellent and makes an easy process even easier! Great work!.Version: 1.43.0

Beautifully doneThis is a beautiful app, lovingly designed and meticulously implemented. It gets the job done, sure — it’s dead simple to explore the map, check delays, and view departure times. But there are always new delightful details to discover, too. The way the lines morph into a new configuration when switching to accessibility mode. The way the lines and symbols change subtly when zooming in and out. The way relevant lines are highlighted when selecting a station. Cheers to TFL for making this simple app work so very, very well, and for doing justice to this classic map design!.Version: 1.42.0

Perfect for VisitorsExcellent App for those occasional visitors with a little knowledge of London. I’m enjoying getting to my London Film Festival locations in an efficient manner . It’s been confusing dealing with unfamiliar bus routes in the past. But this App makes it a piece of cake to get exactly where you want. It also provides very clear guidance on where to get your bus or tube..Version: 1.30.6

Finally!Apart from delays and increasing prices i can finally see where the money i spend daily goes to! Tfl forced me to buy a new car and tie myself in a ridiculous finance deal for the next four years because of the size of my family and my credit score, that is a must for me to Commute, and Sadiq being a two faced mine grabber ripping poor Londoners off, it only took them over a decade of an app world to come up with something constructive. Well. Done.... How that dude gets reelected... Must be feeding Council estates with crack secretly....Version: 1.26.1

Bus map?Needs a map of major bus routes.Version: 1.43.0

TubeApp pretty good . Wish it told you what stop you are approaching ..Version: 1.41.0

Finally, a great app for London transportAbsolutely brilliant app - huge improvement on past means of access. Clean and simple - please keep it this way! Few suggestions - when a bus is ‘due’ (ie less than a minute away) it disappears from the bus stop list rather than saying ‘Due’. Adding oyster-enabled rail network to the map would also be amazing for those living outside of the tube or overground areas - that data is working as it feeds the journey planner, but doesn’t appear on the map..Version: 1.26.3

My ReviewI’ve tried other apps like Citymapper and they can’t let me plan a journey to York but this app can and it is amazingnice if you guys at TfL could change the map in the app every time the actual tube map changes because it would be a cool feature. If you guys at TfL ever read this review, please consider doing this and if you actually do, you have made the app slightly better for everyone!.Version: 1.47.0

Almost perfectFor a Londoner on an iPhone, the app is almost perfect. Two things missing: 1) Arrival times - recently I’ve been taking the Elizabeth line almost end to end (Abbey Wood to Reading) and it would be nice at the end of a night shift to just have a read out of arrival time rather than than journey time. 2) Fares - outside of the typical zone 1-4 day-to-day, fares are confusing. Especially with the aforementioned Elizabeth Line..Version: 1.36.1

Nice app, but doesn't show immediate busesNice app. Quite helpful. But why is it that it always makes the journey start late? When I use the app to plan a journey that should start immediately, it always shoes a later time. Let's say I'm already at the bus stop at 9am and I use the app to plan my journey and set it to "Leaving now". It will show a bus leaving in like an hour even though that same bus is coming in the next 5 minutes. Is it that the app doesn't understand "Leaving now" or what? Google map does a pretty good job on that. It shows the buses leaving immediately, while this one will always push the journey forward..Version: 1.46.0

Best transport app for LondonWonderful app with most up to date status of services. I greatly appreciate the interactive map showing which lines are suspended or delayed. Seeing zone number in station description is a great update. I would suggest also showing the price of a journey between two destinations, like the Single Fare Finder..Version: 1.50.0

Easy to use and great quality interface! The big thing I love about using this app, is that there are no fiddly buttons to click on or complicated controls. You can use this app as simple as a paper map; looking at different stops and manually finding your way around London this way. I like this app as it teaches you how to read a map rather than just rely on navigation; a good skill to have if you ever find yourself without a phone and with a paper map in hand. Brilliant!.Version: 1.11.0

Absolutely Brilliant and EssentialThis was the most helpful app to use while getting around London. Beautiful, simple design and so easy to use..Version: 1.37.1

Best App EverCan’t imagine being in London without this app. Super easy. Super intuitive. Super accurate. Makes getting anywhere in London a breeze. Couple this with a daily transit pass for maximum value..Version: 1.40.0

Useful app, easy to useIt’s great. My only request for the developers is please can you change the settings so a user can set a default first page that suits their own needs. I need the ‘status updates’ to show up first, and fast. I don’t need the map first. I live here and commute and want to know if there are any issues before I set off, in seconds. Thanks..Version: 1.41.0

Great App, but needs more featuresThe app is well designed, good user interface, quick, easy to navigate. Compared to other third party app it misses some important features. The developers need to add a ‘favourite bus stops and stations feature’, so you can quickly navigate to you favourite stop instead of scrolling down on the search for a bus stop that’s a distance from you..Version: 1.9.2

Zones need to be addedOne thing this app would thoroughly benefit from is having the zones added to it, like you would see on a paper map or the large ones posted in stations. That’s why you only get a 4-star rating. I have to carry a paper version around with me which is annoying. I took a screenshot of a zoned map but the image is small and blurs upon zooming in. Please consider adding this. There was an app called Transit UK that included the zones and had similar functionality, so it CAN be done!.Version: 1.47.0

Excellent - with a few flaws…A lovely, clean looking app which shows you various routes. There’s a few things that could improve it… - Exact platform information. Sometimes it’ll just say “Jubilee line”, which is all well and good if you’re good at public transport but it would be helpful to tell me what platform and what direction so I am definitely on the right platform. Then which trains I can get on and which ones do not go to the station I need. - Offline guidance. Obviously it will not show live info like delays and closures, but plotting out a route while underground without Wi-Fi (I’m on Vodafone) would be super useful. - Cost guidance. Again, this can’t be totally accurate but for the usual commuter who’s tapping in with contactless, the approximate cost would be super useful to weigh up different routes..Version: 1.35.0

I have problem with this busesWhen I approach the bus and they see me closing the doors and start laughing, I don't know if this incident is possible, it happens to every customer and it still happens today in Goodmayes EL3 shame on them because we pay for travel and something like that is unacceptable, they say we can whatever we want if we want we open the door if no we just leave 😡😡😡and we are just 1 meter till the bus they close the doors and they leave’s smiling they don’t care we pay a lot of money for just 1 travel😡😡😡😡😡😡😡very disappointed.Version: 1.50.0

Good And Easy To Use.This app is good and easy to use. If you plan a journey, the app will tell you the quickest routes with various options (train, bus, walk, etc), however, something it doesn’t do, which would be useful, is tell you if there’s any disruptions on the route it’s telling you to take. There are other apps available that do tell you. I got caught out having to wait for an hour for a train yesterday because of a broken down train further down the line. This app didn’t tell me, but others did. If that feature could be incorporated, it would be a useful improvement in my opinion. In addition, if features such as telling you where the nearest stations and bus stops are, and when the next services departs could be incorporated, that would also be a good improvement. As well as live vehicle tracking if possible..Version: 1.26.5

Extremely clean travel appOne of the cleanest apps I’ve ever seen - I’m pretty impressed. Below is my feedback. * Double-tap drag is a little janky - it takes a while for you to move your thumb before the map will zoom. It would be nicer for this to be more sensitive. * Adding in Rail as an option for the map would be amazing - after all this app should be actually useful for those in the South East as well. TFL does have a Tube and Rail pdf map after all so it would be great to see this in the app. * More options for Journey Planner would be nice. At the moment I can’t see earlier or later options for my journey, nor can a save a journey in any way. The latter omission makes it quite hard to use if I want to save a future journey * A nice to have would be more widget options. A widget for bus stops would be pretty cool..Version: 1.37.1

Missing zones?Could a future update include zones on the map as well?.Version: 1.26.1

When an app feels this goodAs a tourist in London finding this app was amazing, but it goes beyond usability and into art. This app is such a great example of thoughtful and precise design. I’ve kept it on my phone after leaving London just to continue to fiddle around with it and continue to discover additional layers of loveliness..Version: 1.41.0

App is very helpful and informative!I think that out of all of the transport apps I have owned on my phone, this is by far the best as it has all the information that you will need on your commute to and from work, or in my case school. The only thing that bugs me is that you can’t add favourite bus stops, so if like me, you change bus when on the way home, you can see how long it is before arriving. This would make my journey much easier!.Version: 1.3.0

Good except one frustrating featureWhen looking up directions, ‘leaving now’ does not show options for leaving immediately, instead they present directions for leaving in the next 20 minutes which is really frustrating when you’re trying to work out the most optimal route at the present moment. Even when you manually change the time to say that you’re leaving in the next 5 minutes, the journey starts like 20 minutes later. Can they fix this??.Version: 1.47.0

Great AppGreat app, but missing a feature available in some other apps that would be really useful. Would be great if it would give you a notification when there’s disruption on certain lines that the user selects. This would help commuters plan their journey better if a notification was shown on the phone’s Lock Screen when their usual line is disrupted so they can plan to use a different route on their commute and leave earlier if necessary..Version: 1.40.0

Quick and easy to useThis is a great app, it’s fast, it’s simple and really easy to use. Much better than other apps that feel cluttered and fiddly. You can get your phone out, launch the app and everything you need is right there instantly. The only drawback I have experienced when rushing around, is that when using the directions feature, it’s not clear what direction platform you need to take ie. north or southbound. It would be great if this was displayed along with the route..Version: 1.12.0

Great app - simple, slick, well designedThe is a very simple and nicely designed app - precisely what you need when you just want to get a quick map up whilst on the go. My only minor complaint is that the app recently refused to load when an update was required, with no option to just update later. Was an update really that essential? It was quite inconvenient as being on the Victoria line I had no signal to apply the update and this was unable to access any map.Version: 1.42.0

Super easy!I use this app for my daily commute to London university and its so handy!! perfect app!.Version: 1.0.1
